From the article

Kyler Murray, by contrast, looked more rusty and tentative in his first full start compared to Sam Darnold in 2024. He held the ball a bit longer than Darnold and wasn't as accurate. There were some plays where Murray and his receiver weren't quite in sync as well. At this point, it looks like Kyler Murray has a little rapport with Justin Jefferson, less with Jordan Addison, and not much at all with anyone else.

Murray's rusty debut and receiver rapport gaps limit early-season upside.

Murray looked rusty and tentative in his first full start with the Vikings compared to Sam Darnold's 2024 debut; held the ball longer than Darnold, wasn't as accurate, and showed timing/sync issues with receivers. At this point has only a little rapport with Justin Jefferson, less with Jordan Addison, and not much with anyone else. Building familiarity with the scheme and receivers is a key priority for the offense moving forward.
