Undrafted rookie Daniels gets first NFL start vs. Packers with Mayfield sidelined.

Jalon Daniels, an undrafted rookie free agent from the University of Kansas, will be the first quarterback from the Class of 2026 to make an NFL start when he faces the Packers this Sunday in Tampa, ahead of No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza. Daniels won a training-camp battle with former Bengal Jake Browning to be the backup to Baker Mayfield; a thumb injury will sideline Mayfield for at least a week, thrusting Daniels into the spotlight.
