Daniels' poor efficiency and mobility will depress Buccaneers pass-catchers.

Daniels, an undrafted free agent who just spent six seasons at Kansas, is set to take over as the Buccaneers' starting quarterback. He had a concerning 14-12 TD-INT ratio in 2024. While his 2025 college season was better, his yards per pass attempt was still about as low as it gets to still end up on an NFL roster—roughly the same passing efficiency as junior year Anthony Richardson, despite Richardson playing in a harder conference. Daniels is hyper mobile with 10 carries per game last year. The source expects he should suck pass attempts out of the Tampa Bay offense, and when he does try to get the ball out to his pass-catchers, it should be inaccurate.
