STACKED’s take
Ward's worst pro game featured critical end-zone mistakes; footwork inconsistency remains core issue.
Cam Ward had his worst game as a professional last week against the Giants, missing a wide-open Carnell Tate in the end zone on one drive and throwing an interception in the end zone to seal the game on another drive. The source notes that if Ward hits Tate or avoids that interception, the Titans likely get their first win of the season. Ward's footwork has been inconsistent throughout plays and across the game, with no consistency from play to play at any point in the game, despite Robert Saleh noting it improves early in games but breaks down as games progress. The source expects continued up-and-down play until Ward figures out consistent footwork execution.
