0:36That's right. We're going to talk about a little bit of some of the future that lies ahead for the teams in the NFL in this division.
0:43And we're going to be doing a lot of this over the next couple of weeks.

1:09And speaking of the ups and downs, boys, before we get to any of that, I want to talk about the Rasheed
1:16Rice news, because I think we're in a down valley right now with Rasheed Rice.
1:20So not only did he violate his parole, but it came out later in the afternoon.
1:24Apparently he had a procedure right on the knee.
1:27And now because he's going to have to go to jail for 30 days, he can't rehab the knee.
1:32Gentlemen, I'm going to open the floor to you.
1:35Andrew Erickson, your smirky smirkerson today, smirky Erickson there.
1:37So let's talk about Rushy Rice here. I know this is a player that I have had massive concerns about.
1:43It seems like a guy that just doesn't get it and a player that I was fading.
1:48And one of the reasons, too, why I also think the Chiefs are in kind of a retool rebuild mode.
1:53And I don't think wide receiver is set for them in the future.
1:57Talk to me about Rushy Rice and his latest incident.
2:00Let's just call it that. Why can't he rehab in the prison cell?
2:03Well, what's wrong with him doing exercises? Look, because everybody in prison is named Doc, but not for the right reasons.
2:09I don't think the correctional system truly has elite medical care.
2:12I'm stepping out on a limb here, but I just spent a couple of times, six to eight months in a correctional facility.
2:19Well, Rice was going to have to serve this story for a different 30 day suspension at or this 30 day jail time at some point.
2:26So this isn't new. It's not like, oh, he got caught for the marijuana and now he has to serve 30 days.
2:32That was something that we already knew. It's now just, OK, well, you have to serve it now.
2:37Basically, is what the jurisdiction is kind of explaining here.
2:40And Drew Davenport on X did a great job.
2:43He's kind of like the fantasy football lawyer attorney where he kind of breaks down a lot of these legal cases.
2:49So I would suggest you go check that out on X as well.
2:52But like the TLDR version of that is the 30 day thing is not new.
2:56So I think he's going to serve his 30 days, going to miss OTAs.
3:00He wouldn't be participating anyway because of this knee scope.
3:03So I think he's still going to play in 2026.
3:06After that, though, there's no long term commitment. He's in a contract year for the Kansas City Chiefs.
3:11And I think they're more than happy to let him walk because to your point, Joe, clearly a guy doesn't get it.
3:17No, you know, continue to stay in the fact, too, like that he was in Texas, which is where SMU like that's where went to college.
3:25So he's still probably hanging out with the wrong crowd and people that are putting him in.
3:29Again, not to say that he is not responsible for his actions.
3:33He's an adult. He's got to take care of what he has to do.
3:37But clearly the surrounding cast around him is not putting him in other situations where he's making the right choices as opposed
3:43to being in Kansas City and sticking to the playbook and continuing to get better.
3:47But that's not really the case here with Rice.
3:50I agree with everything you said, except for one thing where you said he was an adult because he's not.
3:55I'm all for second chances. I'm even for third chances, depending on what you might have done.
4:00But it's just like this self injury here, D bro, is just stunning to me.
4:04It's like how many millions of dollars are at stake and your future is at stake.
4:09And I get it. Like some of these kids who grow up end up as professional athletes.
4:13They all come from some pretty tough situations and pretty tough backgrounds.
4:17And I understand. But at some point you have to kind of grow up and take responsibility because there's a lot of
4:23people that have had the same exact situations that you have and have overcome them and matured into better citizens, better people and all that stuff.
4:30And it just it sucks for the Chiefs. It sucks for him.
4:34It just sucks all the way around. And to Andrew's point, D bro, like why would you, if you're the Chiefs, make
4:40a long term investment in this guy? I don't see the Chiefs doing that at all.
4:44Do you? Hell no. That's why I want to begin this with, I want to say hide all the haters out on
4:50social media that tried to flame my dynasty ranks when I updated him and had Rasheed Rice at wide receiver 36.
4:56And they said I was a clown and said I was foolish.
5:00And well, that that's we can take those two separate things.
5:03Those things can be true. And you could also be right about Rasheed Rice.
5:07I'm just saying fair that you're not wrong about that.
5:10Continue. But the other part about this, this is not revisionist history.
5:13Like I'm not like doubling down on new, like brand new news.
5:16It is the reason I was doing all of that was he's entering a contract year.
5:21He's going to be 27 when he is a free agent.
5:24So he's not nearly as young as everybody thinks he is.
5:27And you add that on top of all of the off field stuff and the medical stuff.
5:32And it's Casey's not going to make a commitment to him.
5:35Most NFL teams, the NFL is really good at overlooking being less than stellar human.
5:39If you're amazing at football and that is your like just your your your trump card as it were.
5:44But if you have all field stuff and questions about your medicals and other things and stuff like that, the NFL is
5:51very quickly to shove players to the side. Right or wrong.
5:54It's a true. Yeah. So you're looking at Rasheed Rice.
5:56It's like after this year, what is he going to get guys?
6:00Maybe a two year deal with really one year of guaranteed money.
6:03I can't see a team saying, hey, we're going to invest that much more in him.
6:08And it just and it's crazy to me because it's like, look, say what you will about the marijuana charge and all that kind of stuff.
6:15And what have you? The bigger thing is like, you know, you're on probation, dude.
6:19So just that's my point. Like, don't do stupid.
6:22Believe me, there's two people on this show. I can't speak for Andrew Erickson.
6:26I've partied with all three of you, but I have partaken in some other fun things with one of you.
6:31And sitting by my pool drinking a couple Uncle Arnie's is not a big deal.
6:36I'm not being a hypocrite here. No, no. Neither am I.
6:39Believe me. I wish I wish I had one before the show today.
6:42But the point is this. Same. The point is, if I knew that I had to just stay clean and keep my
6:48nose clean for 30 days in order to do the right thing by my teammates, my organization, my family, my friends.
6:54Myself. I think I could do it. Like, it's just a little bit of self-discipline.
6:59And I think that's it. No one's no one's shaming anybody for smoking some weed or drinking a THC drink or anything like that.
7:05And farthest from farthest from. No. It's just so just own goal.
7:09I know the World Cup is coming up soon, so I'm going to use a soccer term.
7:13It's an own goal for Rasheed Rice. That's what it is at the end of the day.
7:18It just comes back to decision making, man. And if he's going to consistently put himself in situations where he's forced to
7:24make a good decision or a bad decision or just consistently making bad decisions over and over and over again.
7:30It's like, did you just some people sadly in this life just can't get out of their own way, man.
7:36And that's what it feels like. And Erickson, Debra brings up a good point, too.
7:40I think people forget that he is not a spring chicken.
7:43Like, this is not like a 21 year old, 22 year old kid making some dumb mistakes.
7:48He's 27 years old now. I mean, at what point do you just kind of like just roll your eyes and just
7:54kind of bro out, especially from the Chiefs perspective, man.
7:57The Chiefs are in a situation that we're already, you know, behind the eight ball in a lot of ways.
8:02You know, they've got some age on this team.
8:05You've got a quarterback who's, you know, generational talent, but coming off a major injury for the first time in his career.
8:11It's a lot of stuff, man, where you're just trying to get everything back on track.
8:16I think it's an annoying distraction. Again, missing OTA is not the end of the world.
8:20You pointed out he probably would have been there anyway, but it's just the principle of it.
8:25It's like time and time again, he's given chances and I don't know how many you're going to get.
8:30I feel like he might be on his last one here.
8:33I think the Chiefs are going to use him for all his worth and then move on after this year.
8:39I really can't see them making a commitment to him.
8:42No, I think that makes the most sense. But for this particular season, 2026, they do need him.
8:47Look at the depth chart. He's a wide receiver one.
8:50So although like I still think that he's going to be involved, we'll see.
8:53It's still possibly gets suspended because of a the NFL wants to come on and show, hey, you can't keep doing this stupid stuff.
9:00So got to set an example. So much of the Jordan Addison suspension from last year, we got canned for three games
9:06to miss the beginning of the season. Maybe it's six games because Rushy Rice is a multiple offender in terms of going
9:13against the players association and what the rules are.
9:15So I could see those types of scenarios playing out.
9:18But at the same time, he's still under contract.
9:20He's the best wide receiver on their team. And the 30 days is not additional.
9:25Like they knew the chiefs knew he was going to have to go to jail for 30 days.
9:30It's now just going to happen now, basically. And he's going to miss OTAs.
9:34So, yeah, I guess my question for you guys before we kind of get off the rice subject.
9:39I have another question too, but go ahead. Do you think that they would trade Rushy Rice to a team that needs a wide receiver for one?
9:46No team is going to offer him anything. Okay, you wouldn't take Rushy Rice for a fifth round pick if you need a wide receiver?
9:53They're not going to do that. Why not? They're not going to extend him.
9:57I don't think their own depth chart is the problem.

10:04Had the draft been a little different for the Chiefs, maybe.
10:07You know? If they drafted a wide receiver, then I could see that being a yes, Erickson.

10:44But to your point, could they get rid of Rushy Rice if anybody would give them anything and sign somebody like Stefan

11:04Let's begin with an old man. Because, you know, it gets dark out.
11:08Starting the conversation with you? Well, no. But, I mean, if we don't talk about Aaron Rodgers, you know, at some point,
11:14you know, the older you are, they're older you go to bed.
11:18I mean, you know this about me. I'm 1030, 10 o'clock at night.
11:21You do... You got... I prioritize sleep. That's why I...
11:24That's why I'm the Paul Rudd of this group.
11:27Okay, but it's not just you. Erickson too. Erickson's probably the oldest out of all of us as far as staying up.
11:33Like, his body just literally... I've literally seen Erickson shut down in real time.
11:37It's like, as the time goes by... Oh, he's an OG, Erickson.
11:40He just... That's that New England in him. That's the problem.
11:43You know, he's like two years away from smoking a pipe, this guy.
11:47All right. Let's talk about the Steelers here. Far from it.
11:50The Steelers have an interesting situation because you have Aaron Rodgers returning and I feel like the fan base from what I've
11:56seen in the last, I don't know, two or three days about this, it's kind of split.
12:01There's some people that are thankful and relieved and other people that are kind of rolling their eyes saying, what's the point?
12:07And I feel like the what's the point is the point of view that I would have.
12:12Now, there's a relationship with Mike McCarthy that lasted for a while that had some great success at one point and then
12:18eventually, it kind of frayed like most relationships with Aaron Rodgers.
12:21Just look at the dating history and look at the coaching history with him.
12:25He just, but he's married now. So maybe he's turned a corner here and maybe, you know, getting back together with his
12:31ex here, Mike McCarthy is exactly what he needs to, to make himself whole again.
12:35D bro. Talk to me about this reuniting of these two forces that once, you know, back in the day were pretty prolific.
12:42Now in a situation where it seems like they're running uphill.
12:45The most meh news of the season. I just, and they gave him more freaking money to come back.
12:50Like his contract can be up worth up to, unless I'm getting the money here wrong or guys like 22 or 23 milli.
12:57No, I just, well, he's a quarterback. I don't going to make money.
13:00Like he wasn't coming back at 40 something years old to not make money.
13:04I understand that, but like, I just don't understand at this point, what is Pittsburgh even doing?
13:09And like, it's this, this strive and this yearning to win eight to nine games and be incredibly mid and go to
13:15the playoffs, maybe, and get bounced from the first round and be limited as an offense.
13:20Like Aaron Rodgers just doesn't have it anymore, man.
13:22Like the deep ball isn't there. The mobility isn't there.
13:25Like he's getting by this feels like just a spit shine version of what, like the final years of Peyton Manning that
13:31we got where the body isn't, can't do it anymore.
13:34But the, the mind and the heart are still there.
13:37Like, okay, one more time, baby. One more time.
13:39Like who, who would you rather have? Jeez. Would you rather sign Phillip rivers for, for one year, 8 million, or would
13:46you rather have Aaron Rodgers for one year, 23 million?
13:48Hmm. I mean, look old man, Phillip rivers, you know, getting off the couch last year was fun.
13:53It was very entertaining. That was fun. I feel like if he had beat the Seahawks who won the super, would you,
14:00would you get with the production be that? Well, I can certainly, the average depth of target would be greater.
14:05I could tell you that much. Phillip rivers will be rivers.
14:08It'll be 70 years old. He can get up and like, all right, son.
14:12And he'd get up there to throw a ball 45 yards.
14:15I'm telling you right now, that's just Phillip rivers.
14:18Some guys are just like, like a shot. It was like, you know, some baseball players like that too.
14:23They could be a hundred years old. They get up.
14:26They could still hit two 80 in the major leagues.
14:29They won't have the power, but they could still just hit.
14:32I feel like Andrew, if Phillip rivers had a full off season, which he knew he was going to be the Steelers
14:38quarterback, like let's say starting three months ago in January.
14:41Like if that was the inkling then yeah. Yeah.
14:43I think, I think Phillip rivers actually would be a guy that I would prefer to tell you the truth.
14:49I think the twilight of his career with the Colts taking them to the playoffs and the end was good, but it's
14:55been a while since he was in the, in the league.
14:58So I don't know. I just feel like there's no win here.
15:02Do you feel like McCarthy Aaron Rogers is going to, you know, cause it's, it seems like a one chapter story to me.
15:08I think we all agree. This is a one chapter story.
15:11Do you think it's going to be a good read?
15:14I think the Steelers are hoping that it's a good read because with their actions, they've taken, they're a team that doesn't want to rebuild.
15:21The ownership is in pretty vocal about, no, we don't want to rebuild.
15:25We always might be contending. And that's why they always end up finishing with eight or nine wins.
15:30And to Debrose point, sneaking into the playoffs, getting bounced in the first round, rinse and repeat.
15:35They can't get a franchise quarterback. All they get, Kenny Pickett, not a franchise quarterback.
15:39And that's just kind of where they have been over the past 10 years.
15:43But Derrickson, they got Drew Allard out. They're, they're problems are solved long term.
15:47They're uninstalling everything you learned at Penn state because it was horrible.
15:50No, like we got to basically erase everything. This guy learned to college.
15:54Cause it was nothing and learn how to actually run an NFL and play actual football.
15:58I would say from the Rogers McCarthy chemistry, I think that time apart was probably good for them.
16:03I think that you see this with a lot of relationships between top quarterbacks and head coaches that sometimes you're just with
16:09one player and a coach pushing each other so hard to the brim every single year.
16:14Eventually you go tired of each other. Like I'm so sick of this guy.
16:18I can't be in the same room with this person now time apart.
16:22I think Rogers probably seen that. Okay. Maybe the green isn't always, you know, the grass isn't always greener in another pasture where we were pretty good.
16:29Him and Mike McCarthy, we want a Superbowl together.
16:32And I think that there's a buy-in between that with Rogers communicating to the rest of the team with Mike McCarthy as the new head coaches.
16:39Hey, this can work. It has worked before. So I think that's what the Steelers are envisioning would say too, with Rogers,
16:45he did get hurt multiple times last year, hurt his wrist late in the season.
16:49He also got hurt in war-ups against the Colts.
16:52And then if you look at the game logs after that, that's when things really started to tail off from his production.
16:58Now, because he's an older quarterback, is he going to be able to stay healthy?
17:02That remains to be seen. I do think that the Steelers though, I'm guessing their win total is probably around that eight, nine number.
17:09And I think that that's right. But I do think that there's an, an opportunity where they either bottom out or surprise
17:15because McCarthy, look at what he did in Dallas, especially on the offensive side of the ball with Dak Prescott.
17:21They won a lot of games in Dallas. I don't think my mom currently is a terrible head coach.
17:26No, I don't. I don't either. I thought it was actually much to the chagrin of this.
17:31It has them between Prescott and Rogers though, at this point.
17:34Yeah, that's absolutely true. Look to me, I think the Pittsburgh Steelers organization, I think had a little favor with the fan
17:40base that they've thrown away where had they just said, you know what, we're going to suck right now for a year,
17:46but it's going to be better in the future.
17:49Instead of this, you know, nonsense where we make the playoffs by a game every year and get bounced every single year
17:55in the, in the first round, like especially next year with such a good theoretical quarterback class too, that you could turn the organization over to me.
18:03Maybe the Rogers move was the wrong move. It was, it was a, it's the same thing they've been doing for almost
18:09a decade now, which is hanging on by the cliff of relevance by their fingernails.
18:13And it's just not a good situation for them.
18:16Whereas if you just took the big L for one year, maybe you're a five win team.
18:20Maybe you have a shot at getting one of these quarterbacks to mention how the draft falls.
18:25Right. And I just think, and you could have evaluated the guys that are on your roster at the same time.
18:31You could have taken a look at drew our later in the season.
18:35If you really were that fascinated by it, you could see what will Howard really is.
18:39And then you would really, and I'm spoiler. The answer is none of those options are good, but you know what?
18:45Neither is Aaron Rogers at this stage of 42 years old.
18:48I don't think that's a great situation either. It's this fool's gold.
18:52And to the point too, if you look at the defensive side too, right?
18:55So you've got Joey Porter, you've got Nick Herbig, you've got TJ Watts still.
18:59It's about what do you think this defense can be also?
19:02And it's going to be some different voices talking to, I think once you fired Tom, when you had some grace period
19:09with the, with the Steeler fan base to say, okay, we're going to turn things over now.
19:13It's like, okay, well now we got to think that we're a playoff team again.
19:18And then do we really think we're a Superbowl team?
19:20Cause I don't think there's a Superbowl roster to you, Debra.
19:24No, this isn't a Superbowl contender. My other thing is like, now that we know the financials with Rogers, why?
19:29Why in the ever loving hell were they not at least in the Malik Willis conversation?
19:34Tell me that. I don't know. You know, if Tomlin was still there, why?
19:38They didn't have Mike Tomlin anymore. Yeah. If Tomlin was still there, I do believe he would have been with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
19:44I agree with that a hundred percent, Andrew. I would rather see Malik Willis than Mike McCarthy.
19:49That'd be great. You know what? I think that had Mike Tomlin been there, I agree with Andrew that Malik Willis would have been that guy.
19:56But you know, look, clearly Vegas doesn't think much of the Steelers.
20:00It's plus 8,000 for them to win the Superbowl plus 3,500 for them to be a conference winner.
20:05I don't think anybody's taken those to win the division.
20:07It's plus 600, which I wouldn't even put it in.
20:10And they won the division last year. I know.
20:13But to make, well, look what it took for that to happen though.
20:16Yeah. I know all the quarterbacks. They're not beating the Bengals though.
20:20Because they're going to the Superbowl, baby. All the quarterbacks to basically, you know, get hurt and injured at the same time.
20:26To make the playoffs plus 170. No is minus 165.
20:29I'm on the 165 minus side. You all agree?
20:31Yeah. I'm just not betting it, but yes. I wouldn't bet it either.
20:35And then the last one is the win total, which right now on average is seven and a half, which is...
20:41Wow. I was going to say eight and a half.
20:44Okay. Some markets is eight and a half. Okay.
20:46And this shows on betting pros feed today too.
20:49So we're talking a little bit from this angle.
20:51So Andrew, I mean, seven and a half. You're going over or under on that?
20:55I'm probably going to go, probably going to go over.
20:58Cause I mentioned earlier, I didn't know what the line was closer to eight and a half.
21:03Steelers always find a way to squeak out those eight to nine wins.
21:07And with Mike McCarthy there, I don't really see it any other way.
21:10I do again, but I, I can't get past the point that I do feel like that there is a high range
21:16of outcomes where I think that the roster is not that bad to be honest.
21:21And if they actually had a above average quarterback, I feel much better about them.
21:25I think that their defense is a lot of good pieces.
21:28Added Jamail Dean. He's really a really good corner.
21:31If Michael Pittman's healthy, he's useful. But again, it's like, you know, the division is obviously really, really tough too.
21:36And it's going to be tougher than it was last year.
21:39So that's where you run into some potential issues with the Pittsburgh and we have to face a first place schedule.
21:45So probably a win loss total that I would like to stay away from, but I don't know, man.
21:50Could you see a scenario where they fit it again?
21:53If you're taking the under the seven win and a half win totals, what if they do only win five games, even
21:59with my book are the aiming with Aaron Rodgers?
22:02Is that like more realistic to you guys versus, oh, they're going to probably get to like nine wins.
22:07For me, I, it really, I'd have to go look at their schedule again and kind of really contemplate on the travel aspects of it too.
22:15And when they're hitting certain teams, but my gut tells me it's an under on this one.
22:19I feel like this is more of a seven win team than a nine win team because of what you said, which
22:26is Aaron Rodgers ability to stay healthy and play the whole season, which I think is fictitious.
22:30I would be very surprised if he plays 17 games, I'd be shocked.
22:34Well, I like the point that you made Joe about how this team is just begging to tank for a year.
22:40Just start your alley. I think the fan base is begging them to do it.
22:44It's like we're they're mature. I just spent a week in Pittsburgh.
22:47They're amazing people. They get it. They're smart football fans.
22:50They desperately want to move forward here. And I feel like they're on the hamster wheel.
22:55Andrew or just like the same thing over and over and over again.
22:58And I just, I feel bad for them in a way.
23:02Nevermind. I just looked at their schedule again. I'm taking the under.
23:05Forget it. No, I'm taking the under. All right.
23:07I just don't see where the wins are going to come here, guys.
23:11Like you got two games against the. A lot of this has to do with what the Browns look like this year,
23:17too, for me, because like you can't always. Yeah, the Browns are competitive defensively.
23:21And if they take to this other head coach and all of a sudden they get that, you know, dead coach balance
23:27in Cleveland and they become a little bit more of a handful.
23:31That could be a problem for the Steelers as well.
23:34The other part about this, like even they're out of their divisions tough.
23:37They're out of division games. They're playing the Patriots, the Buccaneers, the Eagles, the Broncos, the Texans, the Jaguars, Carolina, Tennessee.
23:43Like that's that's right. I feel like I'm forget it.
23:46Now I'm feeling more like I think it will win to tell you the truth.
23:50I think it's seven. Like, I think it's one of these like by the skin your teeth unders.
23:55So maybe you want to stay on away from it.
23:58But the Tomlin voodoo magic, though, is gone. So I guess I'm like under this impression that the team is going to
24:04be around eight to nine wins because that's what the Steelers do every single year.

25:27I will talk about the defense because last year they missed a league high.
25:31170 tackles last year. A hundred and let that number sink in everybody.
25:35170 tackle. So Duke Tobin is the guy to overhaul this leaky run defense to say the least.
25:40Let's talk about it. Can the Bengals finally figure things out defensively?
25:43I know they made a big trade in the offseason with the Giants.
25:47Andrew, do you think that that's enough here what they've done this offseason to remake a defense that was basically a joke last year?
25:54A hundred percent. A hundred and ten percent. A hundred and twenty percent.
25:57Dexter Lawrence being the stalwart of that defensive interior, he makes everybody around him better in my opinion.
26:02I think that you look at this defensive line.
26:05It's totally revamped from the unit last year and something that I've been thinking about from a real life perspective.
26:11When guys are missing tackles, I think that's more of an effort issue than an actual.
26:15Oh, I don't know how to tackle when you know that your offense sucks and you can't score and you're going to
26:21give up points every single time the other opposing offense takes the field.
26:25I think that's really demoralizing for a defense. So I think that that was contributing to the fact that they missed so
26:31many tackles because they're like, what's the point? We have Jake Browning throwing pick six after pick six.
26:36Whatever we do, it's not going to make a difference.
26:39I think that's coaching effort is about coaching. Well, but but I think that's still part of it.
26:44I mean, technique also says hi. I mean, I think that in the end of the season when guys are banged up
26:50and tired that they make business decisions. They're like, no, I'm not going to try to tackle this guy.
26:56Yeah, but you know what? 170 that that that doesn't show up in that's not week 17 and 18.
27:01And in fact, the Bengals played better in those weeks towards the end.
27:05My question, too, is Debro. How do they replace Trey Hendrickson's rushing the quarterback?
27:08Because that is that's like he was barely. How many should he even play last year?
27:13He seemed like he was checked out. Well, that was also a big problem with the defense last year.
27:18But historically speaking, he's been that one kind of shining light there.
27:22They've they've already done that, though, guys, like they signed Boyamafe.
27:25They brought in Jonathan Allen and they drafted Cassius Howell.
27:28And on top of that whole heap, whatever you get out of Shamar Stewart, even as like an opportunistic pass rusher, like, OK, kudos.
27:34They've remade the D line. And I would be very curious of what the breakdown is of all those missed tackles and
27:40how many of those were on just strictly their linebacking core.
27:44Rookie linebackers. Yes. But again, now they have another year like of seasoning.
27:47I think the secondary adding Brian Cook can be better.
27:50Yeah, I think this is a middle road defense with the chance if their D line all comes together this year to be a top 12 unit.
27:58All right. So looking at them to win the Super Bowl plus twenty five hundred, which I assume you both already bet conference went on plus twelve hundred.
28:05Interesting. You want to sprinkle on it? I'm not mad at it.
28:09A division winner plus two ten. This one actually I like.
28:12I like this straight up two to one to win a division.
28:15I think is really interesting to make the playoffs minus one fifty.
28:19Yes. Plus one thirty seven. No. So again, I think we all think this is a playoff team.

28:30If the playoff line is steamed already, I'm guessing it's going to be ten and a half.

29:01So done. If we think they're a ten win team, I think all three of us do.
29:06Even if they have some Bengals weird luck, they have to get off to good starts.
29:10I know like that's been historically a problem. I know last year they tried to correct that and they did.
29:16And then they had it for two. Yeah, they did.
29:19Good start. And then they had an awful middle for about, I don't know, fourteen games.
29:23And then it was a great finish. But you got to do a little bit more in between a little bit more.
29:29That's also a market inefficiency guys, too. Like we're all saying like they need ten or eleven wins probably to get into the playoffs.
29:36And that's basically what their their odds to make the playoffs are telling you.

32:49Will it be a little bit more modernized? Potentially a Declan Doyle is the new OC.
32:53So Debro talk to me about Lamar Jackson with this new OC with his new head coach, where we think things are
33:00going to go here for the Ravens who still on paper have a very talented roster.
33:04Let's be honest. Yeah, still on paper. They have a talented roster.
33:07I think it just depends on where, which version of Lamar Jackson we get this year.
33:12Is it the motivated by Lamar Jackson? Is it, is this the big, was last year, the beginning of the decline?
33:18I, that's my only, that's my only worry about this team.
33:21Like, I think the defense is obviously going to be improved with the coaching change.
33:25And honestly, you can talk about health. You can talk about personnel, all those types of things.
33:30I think the defense will be better. I also have hope for the offense because in the draft class, they gave him
33:36more pass catchers like drafting Matthew Hibner, drafting Elijah Surratt, like getting these guys that can add something where they're not having to start like freaking Devontes Walker.
33:44Now, again, going to back to what does he have left in the tank?
33:48Mark Andrews. He's going to be asked to play a pivotal role.
33:51If not being the number two pass catcher on the offense, maybe being the number one pass catcher on the offense next to Zay Flowers.
33:58So how all that looks, I'm more positive than I am negative about that.
34:02My biggest concern about Baltimore is have we already started to see the decline on Lamar Jackson?
34:07And what does this offensive line look like? My biggest question about this team, especially for a team that is so run centric, run heavy.
34:14If they cannot impose their will on the ground and be efficient on the ground as a rushing team.
34:19What does that look like? Well, the Linderbaum loss because then their offense, I think it's the Linderbaum loss is a big one.
34:26I think we all agree on that. Their interior offensive line outside of Aione is not.
34:30He's right. So like that matters. And he's a rookie.
34:33Erickson, let's talk about it because it does feel like this team will ebb and flow basically upon Lamar Jackson's health and performance.
34:40I mean, as most teams will, depending on their quarterback's health and performance.
34:43But this one is even more so. Now, maybe there's an extra motivation here.
34:47Maybe again, new is a good thing here. Whereas a fresh start, it's a fresh start for every team in this division except one.
34:54Right. Which is also fascinating. Like how often does that happen in division where you get three of the four teams firing their head coach?
35:01I mean, there's just it's an oddity. It doesn't happen in the NFL very often.
35:05And the one that stayed was the one that we all kind of thought was going to be the first.
35:11But he was not. He was not. We're all like Zach Taylor.
35:14God. I mean, that's the Bengals are like, no, no, no.
35:17I mean, Zach Taylor. Look, man, losing Burrow last year and going to Browning, but then immediately figuring out.
35:23Okay, like we got to pull the plug on Browning and not like sticking to that signing flack.
35:28I mean, like giving them a chance. I still can't believe that.
35:31I still, you know what? Mike Tomlin. I couldn't believe it either.
35:34Mike Tomlin did nail that. He's like, so we're helping out teams in our own division now.
35:39Is that what we're doing? Like, could you imagine like his reaction when that phone alert came through?
35:44Because you know, that's probably how he found out too, right?
35:47There's no like inside dope that got passed around there.
35:50Nuh-uh. He was on his phone at some practice.
35:53He's on the treadmill or whatever. He's on the elliptical machine and he sees that bing and he looks up.

36:04Who would you rather starting for your NFL team right now at this stage of their career?
36:08Joe Flacco or Aaron Rodgers? Oh, Joe Flacco. It's not even, it's zero chill on that one at this stage.
36:14And I'm not saying Joe Flacco is Aaron Rodgers, everybody.
36:17So just calm down. No. Take a breath. All of you people who love the Packers.
36:21Look at the level of play last year, man.
36:24There's nothing I love more than riling up the Packer Twitter base about something.

36:30Is this just an extension of you riling up Fitzy on a daily basis?

36:40Go ahead. I'm more concerns and question marks about their offense compared to someone like Cincinnati, where you just feel like they're
36:46going to absolutely cook no matter what. And you have health question marks with both quarterbacks.
36:51I think they feel a top heavy to me as well.
36:54Right? How good do we feel about because a flowers is going to miss a month of the high ankle sprain.
37:00How are we feeling about this offense passing wise?
37:02Not great. Like a lot of question marks about well, can Mark Andrews?
37:06How much does he have left in the tank?
37:08I think losing out Isaiah likely is a big miss for the Ravens this offseason.
37:13It was a weird decision to extend Mark Andrews and let go of.
37:16Yeah, likely. I was very much that Isaiah like obviously going to the Giants with Harbaugh.
37:21I Harbaugh thought likely wasn't all pro player. And clearly that's why he brought him to New York with him.
37:26But from a Ravens standpoint, why they didn't sign him to an extension instead doing the Andrews.
37:31Yeah, it was really bizarre, especially with a player that had flashed a ton of upside and was probably going to get extended.
37:38But then he got hurt at the beginning of last season, missed the first part of the of the year, and just
37:44had weird turnouts with how many touchdowns Isaiah likely scored that didn't count last year.
37:48Where he has this big play and then no, he's out of bounds.
37:52At least two, maybe three. There's definitely two in my brain I can remember.
37:56He walked across the end zone, but that wasn't a touchdown.
37:59Well, Debro, I remember two specifically to Andrew's point, but there might have been other ones throughout the year, but there's definitely two for sure.
38:06I remember two. Yeah, so he ran pretty poor last year when it came to actually finding the end zone.
38:11I would say on the positive side, though, Lamar Jackson seems very invested in this new offense.
38:16Seems like they've talked about him stepping up more as a leader in this offseason program where traditionally and I don't want
38:22to get into the nitty gritty of it because this is the NFL slow news cycle when they talk about well, Lamar Jackson's not at OTAs.
38:30Does he care about his team this year? It's like guys, he cares about his team.
38:34He's an NFL quarterback. He doesn't have to always be at OTAs.
38:38It's voluntary for a reason, but he does seem like he's a little a little bit more interested and invested because it
38:44is a new offense that's being installed. A new head coach and Jesse Minter has been praising him.
38:49Needs a new contract. Needs a new contract. So I could see a scenario where Lamar just gets back to MVP level caliber.
38:55I could also see this being the last year.
38:58He's a Ravens quarterback and that it doesn't work and he goes somewhere else and finishes out the second half of his career wearing a different uniform.
39:05All right, let's talk about what Vegas thinks about the Baltimore Ravens.
39:09Okay, because Vegas is more bullish than you guys.
39:11They're a little bit more closer to where I am.
39:14And I understand why. I mean, it's two years removed, not even a year removed from Lamar Jackson MVP.
39:19So again, plus 1100. We also saw them fall apart.
39:22I know, I know, but that was health. And you know what?
39:26They still came back and played and he was not anywhere close to healthy.
39:30And they still almost kind of became relevant again.
39:32You know, he was just like, he was not a healthy quarterback last year.
39:36The biggest question for me if the Ravens is, is this the year that Derrick Henry slows down?
39:41That is the thing to me. The large acts of the guy I have questions about.
39:46It's the Derrick Henry. Is this it? Is it coming now?
39:49I don't think it is. But that to me would be the death knell of the Ravens.
39:53That's the thing they can. I'll bet on Derrick Henry over Lamar Jackson 10 times out of 10.
39:58And I understand why. And I think that's okay.
40:01But my point is, if injury or bad performance befell Derrick Henry, this running back room is not deep enough to recover from that.
40:08So that to me is the death knell of the Ravens.
40:11It's not so much the season, you know, Lamar, I still think will be okay.
40:15But if Derrick Henry is not, I don't know what that leaves Lamar to do.
40:19And I think that's problematic. Super Bowl winner plus 1100 for the Ravens.
40:23I think I got it last year plus 700.
40:25I was like, oh, this is great. I think they said maybe it was nine.
40:30Maybe it was 900. I got it last year.
40:32Conference winner plus 500. Anybody interested? Ravens win the conference.
40:35All right. Division winner minus 115. They're still the favorite for their division.
40:39Hell no. I want the Bengals have better odds than Ravens.
40:42If I think it's close and neck and neck between these two teams at the top, I think it's just clear to
40:48go with the better value, which is the Cincinnati Bengals.
40:51Well, look, they're slam dunking the Ravens to make the playoffs at minus 340.
40:55There's some heavy ass juice. But but sounds like you two might be interested in the latter grapefruit juice, which is the no of plus 285.
41:02It's the playoffs. See, but it could still be a wildcard team.
41:05So I'll say no. It's a tricky one. It's interesting.

44:24And he thinks that he can have a good season.
44:27And he also thinks that it's possible that he could parlay that into an extension with the Cleveland Browns.
44:32And I tried very hard not to fall off the bike I was riding this morning when I read that.
44:38And it was a stationary bike, which is really hard to fall off of.
44:42And I tried my hardest. You have to throw your stuff off, man.
44:46I don't know. Joe heard that and he like legit just vaulted himself over the handlebars.
44:50I mean, you can't make this stuff up. The Peloton instructor was like, I mean, hey, look, at least he's got the right frame of mind, right?
44:58He's thinking about the future Deshaun Watson. I mean, he hasn't played good football in years.

45:05So this is really about the quarterback battle. First and foremost, I believe all three of us believe that Shadar Sanders should be the guy to start.

45:21Like he's not going to be the long and short term answer for your franchise.
45:26If he wins a lot of games, then you're you're hurting yourself in the quarterback marker for the 2027 NFL draft.
45:32I mean, the other thing about it is like from a PR perspective, nobody, not even Browns fans, nobody wants to see Deshaun Watson play football.
45:39Nobody. And if they tell you they do, they're lying to you.
45:42Andrew Erickson, would you like to share your thoughts about the quarterback battle in Cleveland?
45:46I think it makes more sense to start Shador Sanders because if he ends up playing well into a job at 2027,
45:53then you have a quarterback on a rookie salary, a fifth round quarterback on a rookie salary.
45:57So very, very cheap when you're building a lot of young talent around this roster.
46:02So I think he makes the most sense from a futuristic standpoint of the Cleveland Browns.
46:06I think Deshaun Watson, I think the time is up for him where the game has changed dramatically since he was good.
46:12How different is the NFL passing game now than it was when he was good in Houston?
46:17However many years ago that was. Emphatically. It's totally changed.
46:20Emphatically. So although Deshaun Watson, we can remember that he was at one point a top five real life quarterback, defenses have
46:26totally changed and adapted to what he did the best.
46:29And he's been sapped of so much of his athleticism, explosiveness and mental capacity because of everything that has transpired.
46:35Again, not partly on him, partly not him because of bad luck with these injuries.
46:39But I think that his, his time is basically up as an NFL quarterback.
46:43And even if he does start the year, because it seems like that's kind of what the Browns are telling us.
46:49They want to start Deshaun Watson for not exactly sure what reason.
46:52I don't know how long it's going to necessarily last.
46:55And I think that the Todd Munkin connection and talking about, oh, I love this new offense.
47:00This is just typical trope may talk, right? Like this is best shape of my life.

48:56you want him to earn it like old school coaching.
48:59You want him to earn the starting job over the bed.

49:05Maybe they're just gamifying it in terms of Deshaun Watson is going to make us lose more games.
49:10Like that's really what they're trying to play here because again, the way that we're talking about this Todd Munkin probably wants his guy.

49:20We didn't, we had the draft. And neither of them I think are his guy.
49:24We had the draft. So it's like in 2026, we drafted the infrastructure.
49:28We went tackle wide receiver, wide receiver next year.

51:40knows that they're like this might be his final chance to put something on film to make another team want to employ him next year.
51:47So all these guys are going to be motivated to win because if if they just play bad, they're gone or the head coach is gone.
51:54So they're going to want to win games like if they start Shador Sanders.
51:58I think they could surprise as a team if they start to Sean Watson wrap it all up, screw it, burn it, whatever.
