1:12So this is the time where you get smarter than everybody else.
1:16Videos like this. But today we're just going to talk about some of the busts.
1:21Some of the guys that maybe we don't feel so warm and fuzzy about.
1:25So Andrew Erickson, who is a guy that's got you all concerned heading into 2026?
1:29Concerned about Bucky Irving running back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
1:33He is still nursing an injury from last year, which does not make me feel warm and fuzzy because the sophomore season for Bucky was a big disappointment.
1:41He was limited to just 10 games because of his injury and he was really inefficient.
1:46Fourth lowest rushing success rate, third worst in yards per carry at 3.4.
1:50He scored one rushing touchdown in 2025. And as I kind of project this backfield out into 2026, where is Bucky Irving
1:57going to pay off his ADP ECR ranking when he's splitting touches not only with Kenneth Gainwell, but also with Sean Tucker?
2:04Sean Tucker has been a touchdown vulture in the fact that Zach Robinson was so happy to use Tyler as year with
2:10the Falcons at the red zone, taking B. John Robinson off the field.
2:14If they prefer Sean Tucker at the goal line, I think that's going to be a concern for Bucky Irving when it
2:21comes to his touchdown upside in the Buccaneers offense.
2:24And then Kenneth Gainwell. Gainwell carved out a really big role last year for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
2:29And I think game was been underrated at a lot of different stops in his NFL career.
2:34At one point, I remember because I was riding the Kenny G bandwagon.
2:38He was the starter in Philadelphia over DeAndre Swift, but then he got injured and Swift ended up taking the job.
2:44But I think that his talent was really on full display last year with Pittsburgh and he finally got paid deservedly so.
2:51And I think he's going to have a big role.
2:54Todd Bowles and his offensive coaching staff has already talked about how Bucky is the 1A.
2:59It's almost June and we're already talking about we love our three headed monster backfield.
3:04And you have to take the most expensive guy inside the top 20 after a disappointing sophomore year.
3:09And I don't hate to play like the draft capital card, but he was a former day three pick.
3:15So if they decide to go away from him, even just to split touches, keep him healthy throughout the season.
3:21I really think that's going to hurt his fantasy upside.
3:24So for me, Bucky Irving is a player that checks off a lot of a potential bust, especially among running backs.
3:31I've already talked about on the show, I'm going to have a lot of shares in PPR leagues of Kenneth Gainwell this year.
3:38I don't like that Bucky Irving is not cleared by now already.
3:41Like, you know, not because OTAs are important, but because clearance this time of year is important to kind of get going in the right direction here.
3:49So I'm where you are, Erickson. Bucky Irving is one of the biggest fades in the black book for me to this year.
3:56Like I'm just not buying in right now. Don't like the ADP, especially that it's currently at now.
4:02That's going to be interesting to see if it fades as we get closer to Labor Day weekend where you have all the drafts going on.
4:10But right now where it is, it's a lot of wishful thinking.
4:14Scott Bogman, give me a guy that you are concerned about this season.
4:17Yeah, it's Ken Walker. And I know that people are very positive about Ken Walker.
4:22He ended up in a really good spot, had a really good playoff run as well.
4:27But I want to remind everybody and Joe, I was surprised to not hear you bring up this point on a recent
4:34show because you are the one that was reminding us about Saquon last year, getting that heavy usage on the Super Bowl run.
4:41And, you know, he had more usage in season than Walker did.
4:44Well, it was more of the 400 plus carry.
4:47Right. And that that's the golden child number of you have 400, not touches, just even carries that sends you off the edge.
4:54You're never an RB one the next year. And guess what?
4:57Saquon was RB 14. So did he miss it by a lot?
5:01No, but he didn't miss it. And he certainly wasn't a good first round pick.
5:06Yeah. And I just don't get it. You know, I know Ken Walker's been moving a little bit back and he was at nine.
5:13Now he's at 11. I have him at 16.
5:16You know, he's going to a great offense and should see a lot of carries early while Patrick Mahomes is presumably down.
5:22We'll see if he makes it back by week one.
5:26I know that's what they want. I don't know that it's very realistic, but Marco was 26 in touches, 48 in inside
5:32the five carries behind Henderson, Gainwell, Marks, Singletary, those type of guys.
5:36Zero games with more than 20 touches last year, two with 29 games under 15.
5:40He was 44 out of 49 in rush success rate.
5:44The injuries are too heavy to ignore, in my opinion, as well.
5:47Started his career career dealing with the hamstring and then got her had the hernia surgery.
5:52After that, missed a couple of weeks in 2023 and 2024.
5:55He only missed two games with an oblique, but before week 12 and then after week 12, he was shut down for the year.
6:03He survived last year because of you sharpening so heavily right next to him.
6:07I just don't think that Kenny Walker is a guy that is going to take, you know, a three down role and lion share.
6:14Absolute lion share. Will he have the most touches?
6:17Yes, but an absolute lion share. I don't think so.
6:20I think people a little thing about him as an RB one.
6:24I think that's where we're putting him. He's in a better offense.
6:27Yes, because he had more chances for touchdowns. Yes, because I don't think they're going to take him off the field inside
6:34the five as much as the Seahawks did. But with his injury history, wouldn't be surprising to see Emmett Johnson get that
6:41role or Brashard Smith or anybody else, really. So I'm not as high on Ken Walker as everybody else.
6:47Oh, look at Ken Walker, that checkered injury history, too.
6:50When you do give him a lot of carries over a longer period of time, it hasn't always gone well, necessarily.
6:56That's hence the Seattle split backfield with Charbonnet the last couple of years that we've seen.
7:01So I think the ADP is tenuous there for him.
7:04I would definitely agree with that. And you don't know what the offense is going to look like.
7:10There's definitely a scenario there where Patrick Mahomes does not play the first month of the season.
7:15Right. And nobody wants to hear me say that out loud.
7:18But I'll tell you this much. The last time I heard Andy Reid speak last week on it, he said he's doing a great job.
7:26He's doing he's working so hard. He did not say we expect him for week one.
7:31Those words never came out of his mouth. Now, maybe he doesn't want to raise expectations.
7:35But to me, I read between the lines and they're saying, yeah, we're going to be real careful with this and make
7:42sure we don't put it in a bad spot, especially because they have an early bye.
7:47I think it's week five that they have that bye, Kansas City.
7:51So they can very easily, first month of the season, I've been playing.
7:55And then what happens to Ken Walker, like in terms of how much equity he has on offense run by Justin Fields?
8:01I don't know what that is. All right. Next one here from Andrew Erickson.
8:06Sometimes you're an ageist, Andrew, and I feel like you're going to go old for this next pick.
8:11Yes. Devontae Adams, wide receiver, the Los Angeles Rams is going to be a bust in 2026.
8:16Just trying to fade the touchdowns from last year, because that's really what Adams did to make him the most effective for fantasy football purposes.
8:2415 touchdowns last year. Very touchdown dependent. But when you look at a lot of the efficiency marks, there are a lot
8:31of red flags with Devontae Adams getting up there in age.
8:34Posted a career low catch rate, 53%. Yards out to the catch per reception.
8:38Also hit a career low. And the biggest thing for me about his touchdowns not repeating is there's no storyline narrative with
8:45we have to get Matthew Stafford the MVP. I think that that was driving up and boosting Adams numbers last year because
8:52they were trying to pump up Stafford's numbers as much as humanly possible.
8:56And it was just easiest to just throw it to Devontae Adams in the end zone every single time.
9:02When you look at his end zone and red zone targets compared to everyone else in the NFL, it's comical how much
9:08higher it is than everybody else in the NFL.
9:11So even if he still has a moderate red zone role, I think that's still closer to seven, eight, nine touchdowns, not
9:1815 touchdowns like he had last year. Matthew Stafford, the number one thing I look for in terms of fading quarterbacks a
9:24year after a big season is their touchdown passing rate.
9:27Matthew Stafford had an outlier touchdown passing rate last year.
9:31Who was this the year before? It was Baker Mayfield.
9:34And what happened? His touchdowns plummeted the following season.
9:36So if Matthew Stafford is not force feeding Devontae Adams as much in the red zone, he's going to be 33 years old in 2026.
9:44When I see him next to Zay Flowers in the ECR rankings, I'm taking Zay Flowers every single time over Devontae Adams.
9:51I want to take the guy that's on the ascend and not someone that I think is more on the decline.
9:57That's fair. That's a good point. I think of the Baker Mayfield thing.
10:01You're in a situation where he got hurt. Pieces around him got hurt.
10:05It was just kind of like a first six weeks of the season.
10:09He looked like an MVP and then everything kind of just fell apart health wise all around demand with him as well.
10:16But I still do believe in Matthew Stafford. I will say that, you know, I'm a Stafford defender.
10:21I'm going to defend the old farts around this podcast.
10:24That's my job. How many touchdowns does Adams have?
10:27This coming year? I'll say he scratches double digits.
10:30I think he gets 10. Okay. That's silly. You're probably right in line then with ECR.
10:35Yeah. Yeah, probably. But to Andrew's point, I think Zay Flowers around that same ADP is a much better investment.
10:41And it's another year older for Adams. And Adams did have a couple injury things pop up during the season last year.
10:47So I definitely think Adams is being a little overrated on how just based off how many touchdowns.
10:53I got flowers at Adams too. Which is unrepeatable.
10:56Let's go. All right. There you go. Three for three here in the podcast.
11:00All right, Boggs. Close us out strong. Give us another guy that you are not too excited about in 2026.
11:06Yeah, it's RJ Harvey. Yeah, I'm just avoiding this running back situation whole and completely.
11:11I mean, he was incredibly inefficient last year. 41 to 49 in rush success rate.
11:15Coleman is better on first and second downs, I think, right now.
11:19And he might be a better pass blocker right now than Harvey as well.
11:23Dobbins is still in this mix. They added Waddle.
11:26They added two pass catching tight ends as well.
11:29So there's just more weapons in this offense in 2026 than there were in 2025.
11:33He had the nice finish to the season Harvey did last year, but that was because Dobbins went down and now Coleman
11:40is going to be next to him the whole year.
11:43I don't know that Coleman is the main reason.
11:46He's definitely not the only reason that I'm down on Harvey, but I just think, you know, if this was the same
11:52as last year where it was Jaleel McLaughlin, you have Dobbins and you have Harvey.
11:57I'd be pretty high on Harvey, right? Because we know Dobbins is going to get hurt.
12:02It's what he does. It's what his career has been right.
12:05And so Harvey's going to get that big role in the second half.
12:09Now, I don't know. Like, and just having three backs here, keep Dobbins a little bit healthier this season and extend his run.
12:16So I think we're going to have a gross three headed mix in Denver that I want no part of and RJ
12:23Harvey's obviously at the front of it. So pass on RJ Harvey in the Denver running back situation.
12:28Unless Coleman is really cheap. Yeah, I'm with you here.
12:31This was another one to where I'm fading this whole group here because I think it's such a mess barring injury.
12:38And all of a sudden things get a little clearer.
12:41I think it's going to be really tough on a weekly basis to figure out who's going to be that guy.
12:47So I just don't want any of them. I'm just going to continue to pass or look for other guys.
12:53Yeah, that's right. Hard passing. So are you passing on these guys?
