A.J. Brown

NegativeInjury35:45

AJ Brown is dealing with a high ankle sprain, which typically requires a minimum six-week recovery period; even upon return, players often show decreased performance, making it difficult to expect the best version of him immediately.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

NegativeInjury15:39

Deepak Chona notes Mayfield's thumb injury on his throwing hand will likely cause swelling and difficulty playing, with a minimum suspicion of a multi-week absence pending imaging.

Insight page
NegativeProjection42:49

Baker Mayfield's recent performance has been rough, and he is not considered a strong fantasy option currently.

Insight page

Blake Corum

PositiveUsage44:33

Blake Corum is expected to be part of a heavy dose of running back usage for the Rams against Denver.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveSleeper7:28

Tara Roberts recommends Braelon Allen as a top waiver wire add, noting clear separation from Isaiah Davis and his potential for standalone value, including usage in the passing game.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeInjury6:46

Deepak Chona notes Breece Hall suffered a thigh/quad injury that typically carries an average recovery timeline of two weeks for lower-grade strains, pending MRI results.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeValue63:42

Brian Thomas Jr. should not be dropped; his recent struggles are likely due to a brutal early schedule that should improve after the bye week.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection50:57

Brock Bowers returned to a full workload with 13 targets, 10 catches, 116 yards, and a touchdown, confirming his status as a top-tier tight end option.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

NegativeProjection42:49

C.J. Stroud is preferred over Drake Maye, especially with the potential return of Nico Collins to the lineup.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

NegativeRole43:25

Chris Bell's recent opportunity was partially influenced by the absence of Caleb Douglas.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeInjury24:50

Deepak Chona confirms a Grade 2 hamstring injury for Caleb Williams with a 3-4 week recovery timeline, noting that while passing production may remain stable, his rushing upside will likely drop significantly.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveSleeper43:25

Chris Bell is a recommended pickup and stash based on his talent as a prospect; his previous limited snap count was due to a lack of an offseason and injury rehab, but his recent increased capacity is encouraging.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveUsage68:30

D'Andre Swift is a preferred start over Dalton Ferguson for a 15-point requirement due to his guaranteed baseline of target volume.

Insight page

Darnell Washington

PositiveUsage43:23

Darnell Washington led the Steelers in receiving with 68 yards on four catches, showing significant playmaking ability after the catch.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeUsage55:38

David Montgomery's efficiency has declined, and he is splitting work with Woody Marks; while he retains goal-line value, his chunk yardage and volume are concerns.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeInjury1:54

Deepak Chona notes concern regarding a potential ACL or meniscus injury after Achane's knee turned inward sharply; he warns that while an MRI is pending, the team's post-game comments suggest a high risk of a significant injury.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection35:53

Drake May is struggling significantly with a lack of touchdown upside and rushing production, leading to a '10 level' panic; he is currently a streaming option at best and should be sold in redraft leagues.

Insight page
NegativeProjection42:49

The outlook for Drake Maye is poor, with the recommendation being to start C.J. Stroud over him at this point.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveInjury5:49

Deepak Chona reports that Garrett Wilson was cleared from concussion protocol after being checked for a head injury, suggesting he has a good chance of returning for next week's game.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

PositiveValue16:50

Tara Roberts prefers Jameis Winston over Jalen Daniels as a replacement for Baker Mayfield, citing trust in Winston's experience despite recent team offensive struggles.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

NegativeUsage63:45

Jameson Williams is still receiving targets but has yet to clear 50 yards in a game; he is a hold for now.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeInjury25:37

Deepak Chona notes that while Daniels' elbow injury might typically require surgery, the team is likely to push for a return in about three weeks; he expects no major performance impact since it is his non-throwing hand.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

NegativeInjury29:00

Deepak Chona notes that Jayden Reed was fortunate structurally despite a scary injury, with a likely return timeline of approximately three weeks.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveBreakout42:35

Jalen Warren had a massive game against Cincinnati, showing impressive ground production; he is a key part of the Steelers' offense and should have been ranked higher.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeDepth Chart3:51

Tara Roberts identifies Wright as the direct handcuff to Devon Achane based on last year's sample size, though she notes uncertainty regarding his current status after he missed the game; she advises keeping him on the radar for waiver bids.

Insight page
NegativeValue44:44

Jalen Wright is a potential pickup, but his status depends on receiving news before Tuesday night.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

NegativeInjury11:46

Deepak Chona identifies Jefferson's ankle injury as a classic high-ankle mechanism, noting that even mild cases typically require 2-3 weeks of recovery, while higher-grade injuries could lead to IR and a 4-6 week production hit.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveUsage45:54

Keaton Mitchell is seeing increased usage in the Chargers' backfield, running more routes than O'Maury Hampton and scoring a receiving touchdown; he should be added on waivers.

Insight page

Kendre Miller

PositiveSleeper22:36

Tara Roberts advocates for Kendre Miller as a deep-league RB2 pivot, noting Alvin Kamara's declining efficiency and the likelihood of a committee approach where Miller could earn ground and goal-line work.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveUsage44:16

Kyren Williams is expected to see a heavy workload against Denver, as the best way to attack the Broncos is through a ground-and-pound approach.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveValue54:09

Despite recent struggles due to injury and weather, Malik Nabers remains the clear wide receiver one for the Giants; he is a buy-low target.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeInjury8:49

Deepak Chona expects Evans to have a rib contusion or fracture, noting that while players can play through it, they often see a significant drop in snaps and targets for 2-3 weeks post-return.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeInjury26:58

Deepak Chona states that if Nico Collins practices by Thursday, he is likely to play, though he warns of a 15% re-injury risk for his Grade 1 hamstring strain.

Insight page
PositiveInjury42:58

There is optimism that Nico Collins could return to the field this week, which would bolster the Texans' passing attack.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon

PositiveValue44:44

Ollie Gordon is recommended as a running back pickup for fantasy rosters.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeInjury28:21

Deepak Chona reports Nacua is dealing with a core muscle injury that could linger; he advises potentially trading him away if he has a big game upon his return due to re-injury risk.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveUsage38:52

Terry McLaurin remains productive even without Jayden Daniels, as evidenced by his six-catch, 77-yard, one-touchdown performance with Marcus Mariota; historical data shows Mariota is not a detriment to McLaurin's fantasy output.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeInjury18:25

Deepak Chona expresses concern over Etienne's hamstring re-aggravation, noting that he was limited in practice all week; he expects a minimum of two weeks out, with potential for a four-week absence if it is a Grade 2 injury.

0:00This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed Human. What's going on everybody?
0:04I'm your host Scott Bogman. Welcome to the Fantasy Pros Sunday Recap Show.
0:08I'm joined of course by Tara Roberts and Deepak Chona.
0:11And today we are going to go over all the action that happened in the NFL.
0:16And there were a lot of injuries to kick us off here.
0:20I mean, Sunday, bloody Sunday, we have two graphics.
0:23It wasn't enough for just one today. We have this one that has HN, Dart, Brees Hall, Garrett Wilson, Mike Evans.
0:30This was when it was kind of, you know, okay.
0:33And then Callie put together this one for us, which I kind of like better.
0:38The Week 3 Bloodbath. For some reason HN is still in a Jaguars jersey.
0:43But other than that everybody is banged up here, of course.
0:46But yeah, lots of injuries, but we're going to talk injuries first.
0:50Then we're going to go over the storylines, talk about who we're panicking about and get your questions at the end.
0:57We're trying to get it all in before Sunday Night Football.
1:00So Tara, how was this Sunday for you today?
1:03This Sunday was a fun betting Sunday. It was a frustrating DFS because I conceptually had, I knew it was a Geno day.
1:11I know, I know how you feel about Gino, but I'm pro Gino.
1:15The Gino, the double stack with Garrett Wilson and Kenyon Sadiq.
1:19It was beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. But the RB2 just didn't come through.
1:22So yeah. Other than that though. Deepak, the Texans are 0-3 man.
1:26They got to get it together. Are you doing okay?
1:30I'm doing okay. We should get Nico back soon.
1:32We are still, I think a good defense, but we're losing a little mojo.
1:37So it would be nice to have him back.
1:40No, man. Yeah. Well, let's get to these injuries here and let's start out with the ones on the graphic.
1:46We'll get to all of them here, but, uh, Devin, a Chan first epoch with the knee, uh, heavily didn't sound very, uh, positive after the game.
1:55What are your thoughts on a Chan? Yeah. The concern here is, uh, especially in the setting of those comments, the ACL and meniscus at risk.
2:04Uh, the real issue here is that the knee seemed to turn inwards pretty sharply as he was going down.
2:10The foot wasn't really planted and usually that saves players from tearing the ACL, but it sounds from the way they're talking
2:17that that's kind of what we should be looking out for a high risk of something incoming here once the MRI confirms,
2:24but usually they're pretty good on the exam. No, man.
2:28Uh, Tara, where do we go after H and is it even worth picking up Ollie Gordon or Jalen Wright right now?
2:35I know Ollie just had cramps. He went back in.
2:38So nothing major there. Jalen Wright missed this game.
2:41Yeah. Uh, what are your thoughts on the dolphins backfield right now?
2:45Yeah, that's the problem is that theoretically it should be Ollie Gordon because he's the healthy one, but Jalen Wright is the
2:52RB two and the depth chart, but we don't know.
2:55He's a backup, right? We don't know if this was a, Hey, we don't need for you for this game.
3:02Um, if we were serious team and you were a starter, you can gut it out.
3:07We don't know how serious this injury is for him.
3:10So you kind of have to hedge your bets there because both of them will probably be used.
3:16And while the sample size last year of when HM was down was like super, super slim.
3:21It was Jalen, right? That was the direct handcuffs.
3:24So just keep that in mind. We're putting our, put your bids on the healthy one, but also keep Jalen right on the radar.
3:32Try to push it up as much as you can to where you're adding waivers on Wednesday.
3:38All right, let's go back to the graphic here.
3:41Brees Hall and Garrett Wilson. Breece Hall left with a thigh.
3:44Uh, Garrett Wilson with a head injury. Deepak, your thoughts on these jets injuries.
3:49Yeah. Starting with Garrett Wilson, they checked him out for a concussion.
3:53Glenn said it was basically, he would be fine.
3:56And he was cleared from that. So it sounds like he doesn't have to go into concussion protocol and has a good
4:03chance of coming back next week with regard to Brees Hall.
4:06He pulled up saying he felt something in his thigh.
4:10And that usually points to kind of the quad area where he was holding on the front of it.
4:16Uh, the average quad strains about a two week injury.
4:19We don't know the severity. We don't have an indication that he was dealing with anything of this nature going into the week.
4:26So those are all positive signs. Uh, but usually an MRI tomorrow.
4:30And then again, average is going to be two weeks for the kind of lower grade severity, which is what we're hoping to hear on this one.
4:39Uh, good news for your boy Gino, because Adonai Mitchell already has a finger issue, Tara.
4:44Uh, I'm so what do you, what do we think is Braylon Allen?
4:48Like probably going to be our number one waiver wire at this point.
4:53Yeah. Must add, uh, there's a clear separation between him and Isaiah Davis.
4:57So go ahead and make that claim. And we have at least seen there is some mild standalone value, not a great
5:04matchup this week, but still one where we should see, um, cause we've got Caleb, uh, they're playing Chicago.
5:10We've got Caleb Williams dealing with the injury. We don't know if he'll be back.
5:15So even though it's not the best matchup on the ground, definitely better through the air, we'll still get plenty of burn for Braylon Allen.
5:23He takes check downs as well. So definitely worth an ad probably top waiver wire ad this week.
5:29All right. What about Mike Evans here? Mike Evans left with the rib injury.
5:34Deepak, uh, looked like he was in a lot of pain for a guy that doesn't show a lot of pain.
5:40How bad do, how bad did it look to you?
5:44And, uh, what, what do you think our timetable is initially here?
5:47Yeah. So, you know, the good thing about even rib fractures is that these can sometimes be played through and, uh, without missing games.
5:55Most players do miss at least one game, but we just saw a lad McConkey come back without missing any time.
6:02And he turned out to have a fractured rib.
6:05So something similar is what I would expect either contusion or a break of the rib for Evans.
6:11Now the question becomes effectiveness. If players come back that early and typically you're doing so with kind of a big padded
6:18vest, a, uh, numbing injection and with a significant drop in both snaps and targets for two to three weeks after return.
6:25So I wouldn't expect prime Evans next week. Uh, but there is a chance he plays.
6:30Jordan Watkins like the last healthy guy left him and right there.
6:34So, uh, I, I guess we just pivot their way.
6:37Right. Tara. Yeah. It's just deep. I mean, then Debo's very high rostered, so he's probably not available on waivers in most leagues.
6:45I mean, you could turn to Watkins, but really I feel like this is going to be a situation where we see
6:52a massive increase involvement of Christian McCaffrey. Yeah. At least Caitlin black is involved this year.
6:57Exactly. So maybe that'll help. Yeah. So, uh, glad to see Caitlin black in there.
7:02Uh, Justin Jefferson, not on the graphic because it happened later.
7:06Deepak left with an ankle injury. How bad did this look?
7:09Please give us good news. Yeah. Well, unfortunately I don't have great news on this one.
7:14The ankle twisted outwards and that's kind of the classic high ankle mechanism.
7:19The concern here, he was ruled out. And then the concern becomes what severity is it?
7:24Even the low grade severity on these average about two to three weeks.
7:28With some degree of a production hit when players come back higher grade often ends up on the IR with an average
7:35of in that kind of four to five week range.
7:38So, uh, if he ends up in that higher grade category, his production, most players would see a production hit, especially at
7:46wide receiver for about four to six weeks once they even come back.
7:50So you're really hoping he lands in that medium or mild category.
7:54And you, the way, you know, that is basically whether they put him on the IR this week.
8:00Okay. Well, uh, who do we pivot to here?
8:02I mean, obviously Addison is a great ad, but probably highly rostered.
8:06Juwan Jennings. Maybe do we think Hawkinson takes a little bit more?
8:10What are we thinking Tara? I was hoping to see an uptick for Hawkinson with Kyler Murray back.
8:16Cause we did see, you know, those have some usage of the tight end, um, heavily in terms of targets in Arizona,
8:23but I do think it's going to be Juwan Jennings.
8:26We didn't see him get a high uptick involved in volume, but maybe that's something that they have to work into the game plan.
8:34It was just default rhythm with Jordan Addison. So if I have to make a pivot, this is a long-term thing.
8:41We know at least that Juwan Jennings can give us high upside plays.
8:45So yeah, Juwan Jennings is the one that I would lean towards.
8:49I'm going to try to clump a couple of these together here.
8:53Deepak. Um, let's do it. Jack Jackson dart with a knee injury.
8:57Obviously what is his long-term outlook? Then we had Baker Mayfield with a thumb injury, a couple of quarterbacks here.
9:03Yeah. So starting with dart, I think his long-term outlook is relatively good in that it takes about six months for full clearance.
9:11And with that, you wouldn't typically see any major production impact when players do come back from this, uh, especially given that
9:18he has almost a year to recover fully before next season.
9:22Uh, the long-term also is that because they're repairing the meniscus, that shock absorber tissue remains intact and therefore you would expect
9:29a pretty low rate of having like the degenerative knee type situation that sometimes evolves from trimming it.
9:35Uh, with regard to Baker Mayfield. Now this looked like his thumb bent pretty far.
9:39Uh, the question is, did he break or fracture something in there?
9:43And they'll get the, that x-ray shortly here, I think.
9:47And we'll probably find out right after the game as to at least that answer.
9:51Now, did thumb injury on the throwing side, it's going to swell.
9:55It's going to be hard for him to play through that even as tough as he is.
10:01Uh, my minimum suspicion on this is a couple of weeks, but it really depends like what was the internal damage x-rays and MRI almost certainly pending.
10:10If, if it is a long-term injury Tara for Baker Mayfield, would you rather have Winston or give a shot with Jalen Daniels, uh, in Tampa Bay?
10:18I would rather have Winston. I mean, we've already seen, I think there might be, um, might be some potentially offensive coordinator
10:26issues that are going on there in Tampa Bay because the past game just has looked mediocre in general.
10:32So at like, am I saying high positive things about the offensive coordinator situation in New York?
10:37Nah, but I trust Jameis a lot more and I can make any excuse for why Jameis had a bad week last week coming in hot.
10:46Um, just our cold off the bench against the LA Rams of all teams.
10:50And then this week the weather. So yeah, roll with, roll with what we know and Jameis.
10:56Yeah. Daniels had Jalen Daniels has upside a lot of rushing upside, but he's got to prove it.
11:02He's shown us nothing about Travis HN with the hamstring injury.
11:05Deepak Jalen Coker with the quad. We saw Mark Andrews leave with a hand injury and Ty J Spears with an ankle injury as well.
11:13Yeah. So the most concerning to me on that list is Travis HN.
11:17He was dealing with a hamstring going into the week.
11:21He was limited all week in practice. Part of me wonders is maybe a hamstring that we didn't hear about.
11:27The reason his usage has been limited weeks one and two as well.
11:31Maybe. Uh, now with that being said, when, when you re aggravated hamstring as he did, uh, you're looking at usually minimum two weeks out.
11:40So I would be surprised if it's not at least that long, uh, when players come back, we, the concern is really
11:47re injury risk for even the first four to six weeks back.
11:51And this is again, in best case scenario, the, the higher level of hamstring grade to grade, probably not a great theory based on his reaction.
11:59But even if it's a great two injury, uh, you're usually looking at about four weeks for a running back.
12:05And then with regard to Jalen Coker, he, uh, they are listing him with a quad.
12:11He reports self reports that it's very mild. He's not that worried about it.
12:15If that's the case, then he would have kind of a one to two week expectation possibility of coming back even this week.
12:23Just depends on, you know, it's hard to say, can we really trust the player's assessment on the day of the game
12:30with the adrenaline still kind of going, uh, with regard to Ty J Spears.
12:34Now I, I couldn't see the ankle injury, uh, on video, but you know, the question becomes, is it low ankle, which
12:42is often played through, or is it a high ankle, which would usually cause the absence.
12:47So we may get some clarification on that shortly here.
12:50But, uh, at this point I would say that's kind of the best distinction I'm waiting to find out.
12:56Um, and then with regard to the hand injury with any receiving player, basically a lot of them are played through and,
13:03uh, you'd be kind of surprised, but they tend to have production impacts as you can imagine, just not being able to grip at full strength.
13:12So, so that's going to be the concern with Mark Andrews, whether or not he misses time is, is, will he be,
13:19will he be usable in any sort of lineup?
13:22Hmm. Uh, Tara, where, where are we pivoting with these guys with HN?
13:26I mean, it seems like a mess behind him.
13:29Um, you know, Bryce young looked like he turned into a pumpkin against Cleveland this week for Coker.
13:35Um, I hit her had a touchdown for, uh, Baltimore and I mean, the Titans have no offense.
13:41So what are our pivots here? So there, yeah, no Titans pivot because we'll broke the work.
13:46We'll be Tony Pollard. Um, and no real pivot.
13:49We did see, you know, met you step up, but again, you know, that would be like a really deep situation.
13:56I am interested in Kendra Miller though. Um, because we have continued to see Alvin Kamara look very mediocre.
14:02And I think at this point, I mean, we've got just stacks and stacks of evidence at this point that he is just a shell of himself, unfortunately.
14:11So I would anticipate that we knowing that we, uh, the, the split we've been seeing is that Kelly Moore does like
14:18to run a committee outside of Philadelphia. He has run a committee consistently, um, over time in LA and Dallas.
14:25So we should see Alvin Kamara and Kendra Miller with Kendra Miller getting the preference on the ground and goal line preference.
14:32So yeah, I would tilt towards Kendra Miller. If you're dealing with some, uh, some deep issues at RB too.
14:38Yeah. I mean, people are dealing with a lot of injuries after this week.
14:43All right, Deepak last just real quick. Any, uh, updates for Jane Daniels, Caleb Williams, Puka, Nico, Jane, read Jonah Coleman, anybody else?
14:50Yeah. So, uh, Caleb Williams, they announced today grade two hamstring.
14:54That makes so much more sense with him kind of being stopped in his tracks, severe pain, all of that.
15:00Uh, they called it a three to four week injury.
15:04The average is closer to four to five. So I would lean towards that four week being the target here.
15:10They didn't put him on IR. Uh, and my suspicion is they aim for returning within that four weeks on that fourth game.
15:18I guess, uh, the question is re injury is as high as 20% in some of these cases and rush and quarterbacks
15:25passing production tends to not be drastically affected. Rushing tends to drop off pretty significantly.
15:30So that's the big concern with Caleb Williams, especially with his speed with regard to Jaden Daniels, typically surgery would be recommended.
15:37The question is, you know, it sounds like they're going to basically push forward and bring him back most likely three weeks
15:44would be the realistic target since that's about what he did last year.
15:48With that being said, the elbow did get re aggravated last year as well.
15:53And we would think that a fall onto the elbow or a big hit would lead to a potential re aggravation here
16:00so that the re injury concern remains somewhat high.
16:03My suspicion is he's probably thinking off season surgery is, is in the books, but again, it's his opposite hand, non throwing hand.
16:10Uh, so as a result of that, I don't expect any real major performance impact when he's out there with regard to Nico Collins.
16:18He's missed basically a week and a half to this point, two to three weeks is kind of the average for a grade one hamstring.
16:26And especially a player who's had a pretty significant hamstring history.
16:30You wouldn't expect them to rush him back. If he practices in any capacity Wednesday of this week, which would be exactly
16:37two weeks since the injury, then I would pretty strongly say he's likely to play this coming.
16:42Uh, I don't think they're going to rush him.
16:45So if he, if he doesn't get out there by Thursday, probably you're missing him this week.
16:51Uh, the concern is not so much performance impact, but again, somewhat of a re injury risk, usually about 15% with these grade ones.
16:58And then the next guy up to Puka Nakua.
17:01So he, uh, has what is sounding more and more like a core muscle injury.
17:06The question is, you know, these don't necessarily heal all the way and can therefore linger and sometimes even shut a player
17:13down if they can't make it all the way back.
17:17They have given us some, some strange reporting. They're sounding very much like next week is the target and expectation for him to come back.
17:25But, uh, I think this may not be prime Puka and the re injury risk is going to be a major concern
17:32still starting him as soon as he's active, but I would potentially look to trade him away if he has a big game.
17:39Uh, then Jaden read he, uh, from all reports that we've gotten, sounds like he structurally was a little bit fortunate with all of this.
17:47It was a scary injury. Of course, uh, my suspicion is he comes back about three weeks from now.
17:54They didn't put him on IR and that's kind of the key indicator here, but, uh, this, they haven't released a lot of information either.
18:02So my suspicion is the next spring that they're planning on getting him back relatively soon.
18:07All right, Deepak. Thank you. Please tell everybody where they can find all of your work.

20:57All right, Tara, storylines. Number one, you want me to ask you, is Drake May startable?
21:02He has been miserable. And today was another bad day.
21:0514 of 25, 199 yards, two picks at Jacksonville.
21:08The New England offense mustered six points. This is coming off 208 yards and a pick, 178 yards, a touchdown in three picks.
21:16So he has one touchdown and six interceptions so far this season.
21:20A brutal run for Drake May. Good God, have mercy.
21:23We knew that the schedule this season was bad compared to last season.
21:27Like we all acknowledged, okay, cupcake schedule last season.
21:30It's going to be more difficult, but you've got AJ Brown and you're going to throw the ball more.
21:36And that's okay because you were super efficient. So, you know, hey, we can work off a little less efficiency, a little more volume with superstar superstar.
21:45And we have AJ Brown go down. The receiving core is rather mediocre.
21:49They traded away. They lack depth now because they traded away Kayshawn Booty.
21:53And you're looking at Drake May and just the upside is just not there.
21:58Touchdowns aren't there. The rushing isn't really there. Struggling overall.
22:01And it's painful because you're sitting there and you're getting outperformed by guys like Geno Smith.
22:06You're getting outperformed by Kyler Murray. You're getting outperformed by literally like Marcus Mariota.
22:11Literally anybody and everybody else that is Aaron Rodgers is putting you to shame.
22:15So looking at next week, we've got a matchup against Buffalo.
22:19And then after that, you've got, you know, and then Buffalo is a friendly matchup in terms of, you know, you have to chase volume.
22:27You have to push. But we did see Justin Herbert in that exact same scenario.
22:32And it just was very mediocre from a fantasy perspective.
22:35So how much more can we expect from Drake May?
22:39You're chasing points and will you be able to put them up?
22:42We've seen you chasing points, buddy, and you're not putting them up.
22:46So after that, the Raiders, then you get into a softer portion of the schedule.
22:51But he's already moved back into this week was a borderline QB one.
22:55And we were starting guys like Tyler Shuck clearly over him.
22:59So, yeah, I mean, with all the injuries, maybe you have to.
23:03But it's just pushed back so much to where he's a streaming option at this point.
23:08It's just just ridiculous. Yeah, it's bad. I mean, I, you know.
23:12You got to at least pick somebody up. Like you said, you mentioned a bunch of guys.
23:17I'm looking at Yahoo rosterhood percentage. Sam Darnold's under 50%.
23:21So is Malik Willis, Daniel Jones, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Ward, Kirk Cousins, though.
23:25Kirk Cousins, yes. And Jacoby Brissette. So not the Gino.
23:28So not terrible options all over the place. No Jaden Daniels, no problem.
23:32Mariota brings Terry McLaurin to life. The run game didn't really get going.
23:37And even, I mean, Mariota threw three touchdowns. That was nice.
23:40Yeah. But McLaurin did have six catches for 77 yards and a score.
23:44So at least we're saving a little production without Jaden Daniels.
23:48And I don't even know if I'm excited for Jaden Daniels to come back with this injury.
23:53Yeah, Sam. I mean, he just needs because we went through this last year, right?
23:58Where he came back, was came back from the injury, just wasn't, you know, and it's tough because a lot of that is also mental.
24:06We are, you know, playing more apprehensive. You're dealing with this injury.
24:10You're not being the exact same player that you were before.
24:14So, yeah, I mean, Marcus Mariota has held it down before.
24:17And I'm not shocked that we had this performance because my concern coming into this game was not Marcus Mariota.
24:24He can give us volume. He can provide fine fantasy production games for Terry McLaurin.
24:29We've got ample examples of that, right? We've got stacks and stacks of game logs that say Marcus Mariota is not a detriment to Terry McLaurin.
24:37Is Terry McLaurin a detriment to Terry McLaurin based off the first two games was the question.
24:43And to see him bounce back like this in a difficult matchup against Seattle, that was fantastic.
24:48Get the win. Hello. So, yeah, that was fantastic to see.
24:52Very encouraging moving forward. It makes me, you know, wonder, like, what are we doing with Terry McLaurin?
24:58Are we riding it out? Are we are we are we buying?
25:02Are we selling high? Like there's a lot of different directions you can go with that because now you've got the flexibility
25:09of seeing your guy and he looked good on the field and look like himself.
25:14So there's a lot less panic going on an upcoming schedule.
25:17We got Indianapolis, the New York Giants. Those are plus games from a defensive perspective.
25:22And then you've got San Francisco, who unfortunately keeps going down with we totally talked about the offensive injury.
25:28Talk about all of the other. We didn't literally run out of our spots.
25:33Yeah, they've lost an offensive line. We saw trip.
25:36So we saw I mean, just it continues to just get worse and worse for them.
25:41Yeah, it's been bad. Story number three that you have here.
25:44The Cincinnati defense struggles, which they look great. They had really impressive through the first two weeks.
25:50But today they allowed 411 yards to Pittsburgh. Rogers had 292 yards and three touchdowns.
25:55Shalen Warren had a massive game tripped over the 10 yard line twice trying to get a get us a touchdown and extra six points.
26:03But Darnell Washington was your leading receiver in this game with 68 yards on four catches.
26:08And, you know, three yards of total air yards, probably running over everybody for the other 65 yards.
26:14You can tackle him. He's a monster. But yeah, I was obviously very happy that my Steelers won.
26:20But I don't know. You know, no Rico Dattel and Jalen Warren went crazy here.
26:25Mm hmm. Yeah, I underestimated like I moved Rico Dattel up in rankings, but I think I undersold it a little bit
26:32because I believed that the Cincinnati defense had changed.
26:35And to be fair, you look at it. Now you're kind of looking at these teams that they have played in Tampa Bay in week one.
26:43OK, we know that you have issues. So that wasn't Cincinnati's defense being excellent.
26:48That was Tampa Bay working through these issues that they have shown repeatedly week after week.
26:53After that, it was Houston. We know that CJ Shroud has the issues.
26:57I believe that game was without Nico. Yeah, that game was without Nico Collins.
27:02So again, maybe the Cincinnati defense isn't exactly the Cincinnati defense that we thought that it was and maybe it's still vulnerable.
27:09So just kind of keep that in mind as you're looking at these matchups that this was a gauge of them actually facing a somewhat competent offense.
27:18And really, quite frankly, this offense had struggled to really produce anything heading into this game.
27:23So to see this level of output, highly impressive to see this, especially Jalen Warren on the ground.
27:29Spectacular Roman Wilson stepping up as well. DJ DK Metcalf actually catching a touchdown pass.
27:33Fantastic. I mean, good to see. He had a drop in two holding penalties also.
27:38So let's not give him too much credit. But yeah, that was the best performance he's had this year.
27:44So this one is weirding me out because someone asked me and I said, I do not think this will happen.
27:51And then it did. The Chargers are actually splitting snaps between O'Merry and Hampton and Keaton Mitchell.
27:57It was 29 of 69 snaps for O'Merry and Hampton.
28:00He had six routes run 15 for 56, one target, no catches.
28:04And Keaton Mitchell was only three fewer snaps, 26 of 69.
28:08But he did run eight more routes, 14 routes run.
28:11He had eight rushes for 52 yards. He had negative receiving yards, negative five, but he did score a receiving touchdown.
28:18So a better day for Keaton Mitchell. Now, third down snaps went to Vidal more than anybody else.
28:23That's five for Vidal, four for Mitchell, one for Hampton.
28:27Two minute drill snaps, five for Vidal, four for Mitchell, zero for Hampton.
28:31So Hampton is in the doghouse right now, it seems.
28:34It's weird. You know, we had a comment in the chat from Michael F.
28:39And Scott said, Tara told me to draft Hampton.
28:42I am sorry, Michael. I'm so we're all sorry, because I think I suspect I was not the only one.
28:48Find an analyst that didn't think the Chargers were going to go crazy.
28:52Yeah. Everybody thought the Chargers were going to go crazy and it has not happened.
28:57Yeah. This felt like, yeah, this felt like an experimentation because we had seen Vidal be iced out of the offense.
29:04So it like, were they trying to figure out how can they work in all three and maybe that would give them some kind of boost.
29:12And like, I think they're just trying to find a way to get this offense going rather than just sticking.
29:19But it does concern me with Amari and Hampton because it's a weird, it's tough to kind of play because Keaton Mitchell is on waivers.
29:27So he should be added on waivers. But the thing that you have to remember is, is that if Amari and Hampton
29:34goes down, Kamani Vidal then becomes Amari and Hampton and Keaton Mitchell stays Keaton Mitchell.
29:39So it's just such a weird backfield to kind of handle from that perspective.
29:44Our hope here is that Amari and Hampton is the clear lead back.
29:48I don't think we have questions around that. But in order for him to be successful as the clear lead back with
29:55someone working in significantly as the change of pace back, this offense has to get to the goal line.
30:01They have to be productive. They have to move the ball up and down the field.
30:06And that becomes a problem when we look at the schedule ahead because it just continues to be a massive juggernaut.
30:13Unfortunately, we've got Seattle coming up. Denver, Kansas City doesn't get better after the bye week.
30:18Rams, Houston, Baltimore. I mean, my God, this is just a mess.
30:22Would you try to trade him now? Yeah, I think you might need to.
30:27Yeah. And I just see someone in the comments.
30:30Marquis says, just traded Hampton for Nico last week.
30:33Thank God you made a solid move right there.
30:35Even if Nico doesn't come back this week. We know that's the clear wide receiver one.
30:41There was no competition in that offense for him.
30:44So I think you've got out while you could.
30:46So there are still people that need running backs.
30:49I think it's possible to sell. So shop it around.
30:53See if you can. I mean, lots of injuries today at RB.
30:57So, yes, definitely. And then number five here. Brock Bowers.
31:00Welcome back. 13 targets, 10 catches, 116 yards and a touchdown for all my teams.
31:05Thank God. Brock Bowers is back. I am very, very happy.
31:08Oh God. It was so good to see. Cause there was that worry, right?
31:13Because we didn't have that early confirmation of like, okay, we feel super good and the snap count is going to be
31:20high and we're going to get him on a full workload.
31:23So to see him come back to this degree, that was excellent.
31:27Especially after the trauma that we suffered last year where he came back and was clearly still bothered by it up and down play.
31:35And the real big takeaway here is that the offense as a whole just looks so good under new coaching, new offensive line.
31:43Yeah. New quarterback. You could say maybe Gino could have done it behind this offensive line.
31:48I don't know. But regardless, all of the right changes to get this team back on track.
31:53So feeling very positive about the guy that we drafted to be the tight end one.
31:59So wheels up where we're feeling so much better.
32:01All right, let's talk about the panic meter. But before we do that, let me tell you guys about the waiver planner here.

32:35That's fantasy pros.com slash plan. All right, everybody hit us in the comments.
32:39Who are you panicking about right now? There's a lot of injured players to be panicking about.
32:45I got a couple off the top right here to ask you about.
32:49Are you panicking about Malik neighbors Tara? You know, barely made week one six for 89 one catch for one yard against the Rams.
32:57We just banged up in that one. There was weather in this game.
33:01So we kind of do we kind of have excuses for neighbors or are we worried?
33:06We have excuses. I'm at a buy low point on this one just because I think it's come down to two weeks in a row.
33:14I've got excuses so I can get into it and buy because he's the clear wider super one.
33:20That's not a question. Um, but yeah, at mild panic.
33:24But at the end of the day, looking at the overall schedule, I don't think we need to massively just dump and
33:31say, okay, we just got to bail out on this situation.
33:34So my mild panic, but it's more of a buy low for me.
33:38David Montgomery. Houston's offenses look bad without Nico. Uh, last week he was six for 10.
33:44He had two catches for 14 this week. Improved 11 for 33 and two catches for 15 yards.
33:49But he opened up with that three touchdown banger.
33:52And then the last two weeks have been complete duds.
33:56Yeah, he opened up with the three touchdown banger, but efficiency was not good.
34:00And to follow that up with the two games, this is kind of what I feared is that this offensive line.
34:07Now, granted, you know, they had struggles with the offensive line in Detroit, but still it's better than the one that they had in Houston.
34:15So my concern is, is that this just isn't giving him the lanes that he needs to be effective.
34:21Um, still should have goal line opportunities. So things once they can actually get Nico Collins back and progress the ball up
34:28and down the field will get better. So he'll still have priority at the goal line.
34:34He's great at that. But in terms of chunk yardage and volume, I think we're going to continue to see this split
34:41with, um, Woody Marks because he does in fact look fantastic in the Texans like him.
34:46They do. Uh, here's one from, uh, O G Devin that says, why can't I show this?
34:51There we go. Uh, Drake may is terrible dropping for Deshaun Watson.
34:55I'm done. That's a true panic, right? Yeah. That is a 10 level panic.
35:00Uh, so if we put, if we put Drake may on the panic meter, what, what number would you give him?
35:07It's like an eight. Yeah. I get it. Like I don't physically don't want him to start.
35:12I wasn't, I wasn't joking before when I said I have a dynasty roster where I started may and there were Gino
35:19Smith and Mariotta sitting on the bench. And I'm just looking at it in fury.
35:24Like if I lose purely because I thought, Oh, I'll play Drake may over Gino and Marcus Mariota.
35:30Um, yeah, it's high. It's high. Cause especially what deep, uh, what Deepak was talking about with the high ankle sprains is
35:37that we have to remember that it's not just when you come back.
35:41So we were looking at six weeks of minimum.
35:44And then when you come back, you're still looking at decreased performance.
35:48So we're not going to see the best version of AJ Brown.
35:52And you go back and look at the comp from like CD lamb last year.
35:57We look at it now. CD lamb is CD lamb.
36:00It wasn't George Pickens. It was ankle. He had the high ankle sprain.
36:04That was the issue. They don't look the same when they come back.
36:09Yeah. It's buying dynasty selling redraft, uh, for Drake may right now.
36:13Absolutely. Uh, this one from Nelson panic meter egg, Buka without Mayfield.
36:16If long term on this hand or thumb entry, whatever it ends up being.
36:21Um, about a five because the production we've been getting out of him thus far has been rather mediocre.
36:27Unfortunately, like he's clear wide receiver one is getting you just over double digit fantasy points in full PPR.
36:33Yeah, touchdown, but the volume is just not there.
36:36So panic in the fact that he's not painting out the way that we thought he would.
36:42Yes, but panic in the fact that it's going to change from what he's been doing now.
36:47I think we're going to continue to see this.
36:50He's going to continue to get the targets. They're going to continue to be hit or miss going to be mediocre production,
36:57but it's going to get you by from a flex perspective because you can't bench him because at the very least it's
37:04a flex because he can in fact get you double digit fantasy points in PPR.
37:09And, uh, the last one here and then I got a rapid fire for you.
37:14Uh, Mark asks panic on likely probably not because of the weather, right?
37:18Yeah. James first week out there as a starter.
37:21Yeah, I it's like a two, uh, you know, a little panic because darts not there.
37:27Yes, but Winston's inexperienced started throws the tight end a lot.
37:30So I think we'll be okay. Um, are you panicking?
37:33Like what's your panic on the Patriots running back situation?
37:37Uh, I think it was just a bad matchup, but again, this, so this is an overall, um, I not just this.
37:44Yeah. Yeah. It's a split backfield period and they can be successful when they're, um, in the lead, when it's a good
37:51matchup, um, when there's competent play going on. But the problem is, is that their backfield will ebb and flow with the
37:58quarterback situation and it is a tougher schedule. So, I mean, it just, it's, it's more like a five, right?
38:05Um, you would wish that after so many fumbles that one, it's funny, you know, Jadarian price fumbles and he goes vanished.
38:12Remondre Stevenson fumbles and is Remondre Stevenson. Yeah, that's true.
38:15So, uh, let's, uh, I got, I got four wide receivers.
38:18You tell me which, which ones you wouldn't drop yet.
38:22Uh, Brian Thomas, a little Shakir, Quentin Johnston, Jamison Williams.
38:25I'm not dropping BTJ because you can argue this is a matchup issue.
38:29Just, we knew that this early schedule was brutal.
38:32It opens up after the bi-week. So we're not like just hold on.
38:36We're not dropping. Can't drop right now. Can't do it.
38:40Can't do it. I know. And I know the Josh Cameron ascendance is concerning.
38:44They had the same amount of snaps today. Yeah.
38:47That is concerning. Not going to lie. Um, man.
38:50Yeah. I would like my first drop out of these.
38:53I don't know. I'm going to drop all of them.
38:56Honestly. Uh, like Shakir can go. Yeah. Quentin Johnson can go.
39:00Trey Harris had more targets than him today. They might be experimenting a lot in, in LA.
39:06Yes. And then, uh, Jamison Williams is probably the one I wouldn't drop yet, but he hasn't cleared 50 yards in a game yet.
39:13Yeah. He's still getting targets, but has not cleared 50 yards.
39:17Yeah. Uh, those are all nines. In tens, if you're dropping them, but nines at least for sure.
39:23So, all right, we are going to go to questions.
39:26So anybody that has questions, throw them in the chat.
39:29We will answer as many as we can up until, uh, Sunday night football starts here.

40:23All right, everybody, we will answer your questions. Go ahead and drop them in the chat.
40:28Like we were talking about before. All right, Tara first up here.
40:32I believe you starred these for me. Thank you.
40:35Yes. The first one says, what do you think about Puka moving forward?
40:39So supposedly, it will be potentially available to go.
40:42So next week, I feel I mean, at this point, there's nothing you can truly do in terms of we need to
40:49see him get on the field and actually physically play through it.
40:53But I've heard enough positive things directly from the Rams that I feel a little bit comfortable with thinking, OK, next week, we'll get him back.
41:01And they're feeling like they're just being a little bit cautious with them.
41:06Let's get to this one real quick because it is pertinent for tonight.
41:10Ferguson in a few minutes or Swift tomorrow. PPR need a 15 point performance.
41:14This is for a dub. Oh, man. 15 point.
41:17I mean, I think I still would. I would lean still Swift on this one.
41:22I know the appeal of Ferguson with Puka out, but it is entirely possible that they throw those targets to another tight end and it just throws off.
41:31And just from a pure volume perspective, not a great matchup.
41:35But you know, there's a guaranteed baseline of target volume that DeAndre Swift is going to get.
41:40You can get targets as well from him. So I still lean DeAndre Swift.
41:45Yeah, I'm with you. I it's the volume. Just like you said, guaranteed volume for Swift.
41:50You could call it even probable volume for Terrence Ferguson.
41:53But those are targets and not all targets are caught.
41:57So are the Raiders for real? Yes, I think they are.
42:00I mean, kudos to fantastic coaching. What? I mean, we said it before.
42:04What what what can coaching and an offensive line do for you?
42:08Yeah, clearly it can literally turn your entire franchise around.
42:11So I think this is legit. This is the coming.
42:15I wish they had a wide receiver one that I mean, we had trade Tucker.
42:20I mean, he's kind of coming through. But imagine if they add one of those high end others because it's a good receiver class coming up.
42:28Imagine if they add one of the receivers in this draft.
42:32It really round out this offensive group. Hmm. Yeah.
42:34Yeah. I mean, Jeremiah Smith would look really nice there.
42:38I don't but they're not going to be picking.
42:41No, no, they're going to have to get one in the in the.
42:45Mid to back. So go Raiders. Ryan Wingo looked pretty good yesterday.
42:49How about should I panic with May? My other QBs are Mayfield and Stroud.
42:53Not good at all for all three. It's been rough for those guys.
42:58Yeah. Well, theoretically, we should maybe cross our fingers be getting Nico back this week.
43:02So you might be OK. And then if that was the case that I would roll with CJ Stroud over.
43:09Yeah. Over Drake May at this point. Yeah. Yeah.
43:12It has been it has been pretty rough. Yeah.
43:15He gets Dallas next week. It's Dallas. Let's see.
43:18Got another one here. Do you think Chris Bell's worth a pickup or is this decent play only result of Caleb Douglas being out?
43:25Well, I would say he's probably worth the pickup because what are they going to do without a chance?
43:32Right. Correct. Yeah. Yeah. And I and I know, you know, I've seen people debate this between him and, you know, Malik
43:39Washington because Malik Washington has been there steady and, you know, PPR can get there.
43:44But Bell is the one that I do want to pick up and stash just based off talent, who he is as a prospect.
43:51We know that the only thing that was holding him back is he was on a half workload, only playing around 50
43:59percent or a little bit less than snaps because he had no offseason.
44:03He was just rehabbing. So the ramp up has been very quick with him.
44:07So to see him come out in this capacity in the first game where they say, hey, we need you to step up.
44:15That was very encouraging. And last one. Will Kyron Williams beat his projected points this week in a PPR league?
44:21It sounds like somebody who has just Kyron Williams left.
44:24Yes. 100%. No, I can't guarantee that. Yes. They're the best way.
44:28The best way to attack Denver is just ground and pound.
44:32So I do think that we are going to see a heavy dose of Kyron and Coram.
44:37The real last question, which running back are you picking up?
44:41For health, we do have to go with Ollie Gordon.
44:44Yeah. If we knew on Jalen Wright, maybe we get some news on Jalen Wright before Tuesday night and you can make
44:51that, you know, but I don't know if I'm going to get it.
44:56It's possible. It's possible. And remember, thanks for spending some time with us tonight.

46:45Today we tip our wrench to rock auto customer Noah.
46:48My first car was a 2001 Dodge neon with a blue wing.
46:52And it happened to match my high school sweetheart.
46:55Who's now my wife, her black 2005. So my uncle has been in the industry for well over 25 years.
47:01He recommended rock auto immediately to buy my first set of brakes.
