0:00I don't want to be dramatic after just watching the game, but Kenneth Walker looks like a top three running back in the NFL.
0:09He looked so good today.
0:12And the role that the Kansas City Chiefs gave him against what was supposed to be a really good defense that couldn't
0:18tackle looks to be so valuable that after one game of a 17-game season I'm throwing in the towel. I'm going to
0:26admit I was wrong. I was horribly wrong, okay? I drafted Kenneth Walker in the flock league at the 205. I wasn't
0:34excited to take him there. I took him there because I knew he was the best pick, and I figured I would be able to
0:39trade him before the season happened. I then proceeded with my own team to go through and trade Kenneth Walker and I
0:45think about 30% of my fab for Justin Jefferson.
0:50And I then proceeded to recommend that y'all do the same in trading Walker for Jefferson, and it was a horrible horrible call.
0:59I had Walker way too low in my rankings.
1:02I disrespected him. We need to update the ranks. We need to talk about everything that happened in this game because it was legitimately insane.
1:11So, let's go through and dear God, um, let's first, I guess, talk about the Denver Broncos.
1:18I want to first say regarding this game environment in general. Coming into it, we thought that this was going to be a
1:24really bad spot for both teams, right?
1:27The Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos, the over/under this game is like 44 and 1/2 points. These are supposed to be two good defenses,
1:34division game going up against each other, obviously big rivals. So, it was supposed to be a slugfest. Neither offense was supposed to be that good or
1:42that enticing.
1:43But Bo Nix looked horrible.
1:48Horrible. Now, of course, you can say like, "Oh my gosh, he was scrambling right when they snapped the ball, right?
1:53He didn't have time to throw, blah, blah, blah." This is supposed to be one of the best offensive lines, if not the
1:58best offensive line in the league.
2:01And Bo Nix could not get anything going at any point. He had about six plays that were laughably bad. Like we were
2:08live streaming on the Flock League channel during this game watching it.
2:11There were about six, seven times where we died laughing. In terms of Bo Nix fumbling the snap, Bo Nix throwing the
2:18ball to nowhere, Bo Nix running around for 15 seconds and then just dropping the ball in front of him.
2:25I will say at this point, like there's no way, even with this being a tough match-up, that I could say that Bo Nix
2:32is anything more than a waiver wire quarterback. Like I would rather have Goff, I'd rather have Stafford. Bo Nix is in like the Jordan Love
2:39Baker Mayfield, Tyler Lock range. Maybe in a better match-up he looks better, but uh Bo Nix in your one quarterback leagues, he's nothing.
2:47Going over to the running back usage, at the beginning of the game we got a lot of RJ Harvey, right? RJ Harvey was out
2:53there a ton, and RJ Harvey kind of looked like the main guy, especially as a receiver. But it frankly didn't matter
3:00because at the end of the day, RJ Harvey had three carries.
3:04JK Dobbins had eight carries. RJ Harvey had four targets. Um JK Dobbins had zero.
3:12So when we're looking at these Denver Broncos running backs, I still prefer RJ Harvey for a couple different reasons. I had RJ Harvey as the running back 29
3:22going into this game. I'm probably going to go ahead, honestly, keep him as the running back 29 because Harvey does have
3:28the receiving upside where if something occurs to Dobbins, he probably expands his role. And in a game in which the Broncos offense will be able to move the
3:35ball down the field, which is occasionally going to happen, um RJ Harvey will have some upside in that.
3:41The problem with Dobbins though, and I said this all along, and this is why he was down here at running back 37 in my
3:47ranks coming into this.
3:49What's the upside case with Dobbins? I guess realistically we should have Lloyd down. But regardless, what's the upside case with J.K. Dobbins?
3:58He's not going to catch the ball.
4:00Clearly that role is going to R.J.
4:02Harvey. He is never been a league-winning player at the fantasy at the running back position and he was drafted back in
4:102020.
4:11If we go through and look at this, his highest finish ever was running back 18 in points per game. He's never cracked
4:1715 fantasy points per contest. He can't catch and he's the most injury-prone running back in the NFL. So, I don't want to start Dobbins now.
4:27And his floor is so damn low based on the fact he's never finished the season healthy. So, um Dobbins is nothing.
4:34R.J. Harvey at least has receiving upside. I would rather not start either guy unless it's a beautiful match-up.
4:41And then James Robinson at this point, I would probably rather have Keaton Mitchell over him. Like, James Robinson literally uh we see nothing. Zilch.
4:48Nada. So, I guess he's really only the handcuff if we were to get something to Dobbins.
4:53Now, going over to the receivers, I will let y'all know obviously if you watch the Flock League channel you already understand this, but um in the Flock
5:00League, which is the league I play in, we have $5,000 to the highest scoring team every week.
5:07And luckily, I had the most points coming into this game.
5:12I needed a fade 40 combined points from Kenneth Walker and Jaylen Waddle, right?
5:17If Kenneth Walker and Jaylen Waddle scored 40 plus points, then I would have fallen to the second highest scoring team of the week and I wouldn't win the
5:255,000.
5:27Thank god Jaylen Waddle could not do anything.
5:31Thank god Waddle comes away with three targets, one reception for two receiving yards.
5:40There were times where Waddle wasn't on the field. They were just firing it away to Pat Bryant.
5:48Like Waddle realistically, I thought he was a good pick in the fourth round.
5:52Like going through and looking at my rankings of Waddle coming into this, I had him in this massive tier of receivers. The guys like Zay Flowers,
6:00Devonta Smith, Christian Watson, Tee Higgins, Ladd, Waddle, DJ Moore, Egbuka, Garrett Wilson, Tutu Atwell, and McMillan. Now, I have Egbuka on my
6:07fantasy team. If the Jalen Waddle owner offered me Waddle for Egbuka, I'm peeing my pants laughing.
6:15No way in hell I'd make that trade. I don't think Waddle's in this tier after this game. Bo Nix looked like garbage.
6:22It's not like they were forcing targets in the direction of Waddle. I think Waddle comes down to being more so a
6:28low-end wide receiver two, high-end wide receiver three. I hate to say this after one game, and maybe I'm overreacting cuz they went up against a good Chiefs
6:35defense, on the road division game, but these top 22 wide receivers are set it and forget it. You start them every
6:44single week, regardless.
6:46These wide receivers in the D tier like Evans, Burks, and Jameson Waddle, Parker Washington, Davante Adams, I think you start them most weeks. They'll have high
6:54floors, but low ceilings, and they are volatile. I think that's where Waddle now belongs. So, I think he's right here. Maybe put him ahead of
7:03Jameson, maybe he's wide receiver 24, but God, that was ugly.
7:07Now, going over to the other wide receivers here in Denver, Courtland Sutton did nothing for the vast majority of the game until the very end. He
7:15started getting targeted, blah blah blah. Um, Sutton walks away with two receptions for 11 receiving yards.
7:20Here's the deal. Pat Bryant may have just snatched Courtland Sutton's chain.
7:23Pat Bryant may be the dude. Pat Bryant may just be the younger version of Courtland Sutton now.
7:28So, with Sutton, I have no idea how I could ever consider putting him in my lineup. I have him down here alongside
7:35like um, Wan'Dale Robinson, Josh Downs, Casey Concepcion, Jordan Addison, Xavier Worthy in this tier. Uh, players that they're worth a roster spot? You do not
7:45cut them, but there's no way you play them outside of you being extremely desperate in a bye week.
7:52Now, Pat Bryant is going to be somebody that we are moving up. I think Pat Bryant is a very intriguing waiver wire
7:58pick up. At this point, it would be like him neck and neck with some of these other waiver wire names like Romeo
8:05Dobbs, Devante Parker.
8:07Um honestly, you could consider him up there with like a Jacob Coby Myers. So, I think Pat Bryant like wide receiver
8:1255, he's down in the range of these guys are probably worth the roster spot, but you're definitely not excited to start
8:17him until we see the continued role expanded.
8:20Now, let's go over to tight end and let's look at Evan Engram.
8:23So, Evan Engram played well in this game, right? Um to the point where in deep formats like yeah, I'd rather have
8:29Evan Engram probably over guys like Greg Dulcich, Terrance Ferguson, but I would say Evan Engram, you're probably not starting him regardless. So.
8:37Train wreck of a game for the Denver Broncos. Nobody could get anything going. I still think you start Jaylen Waddle in week two. I still think you
8:45start Jaylen Waddle in week three. I think Bo Nix will be better in the future. This was a very tough game
8:50environment. But damn, if you did not get scared off this offense in the slightest based on this game, I don't know what you were watching. We
9:00may be have just been watching two completely different games.
9:05Now, let's go over and let's talk about the Kansas City Chiefs. And obviously, this is the exciting thing to discuss.
9:13Now, Mahomes early on, he missed a couple of big plays.
9:19Like Patrick Mahomes in this contest had uh some boneheaded throws maybe in the
9:29first quarter.
9:31What ended up happening is obviously when the Kansas City Chiefs get to a big lead, then all of a sudden they can be a
9:36little bit more conservative, blah, blah, blah. But, Mahomes, in my mind, doesn't look like his prime self. It does look like he's not 100% coming off
9:46of this injury. So, I would still have Patrick Mahomes in this range of quarterbacks that definitely should be rostered and quarterbacks that
9:53definitely have upside, but for week two, I'm not jamming Patrick Mahomes.
10:00I want to see him another week removed from the torn ACL. I want to see him another week healthy. And then if he
10:05comes out, if he drops 20 fantasy points, he's going to be quick to move up my rankings. But, as he's injured
10:10right now, I want a slight discount.
10:13So, let's go through and let's talk about Kenneth Walker. So, again, if you weren't here at the beginning of the live stream, I need to remind everybody
10:21I was dead wrong about Kenneth Walker.
10:25I preferred running backs in round two like Saquon Barkley. I got so upset when I was sniped on Saquon Barkley in the
10:33Flock League draft. I snapped my clipboard in half, right?
10:39I then proceeded to draft Kenneth Walker at the 205, traded him and some FAB dollars for Justin Jefferson.
10:48And I publicly said at the same time as well that I did not like Kenneth Walker, and if I could pivot to Justin
10:53Jefferson, if I could pivot to CeeDee Lamb, if I were y'all, I would do so.
10:58Now, the Jefferson pivot, not so bad.
11:01But, dear god, the other running backs, Saquon Barkley, doesn't hold a flame. He doesn't He He can't even compare to Kenneth Walker
11:10right now.
11:11CeeDee Lamb cannot even compare to Kenneth Walker right now.
11:16He is operating at a completely different level.
11:19He should not have been a second-round fantasy pick this year. He should have been a first-round pick.
11:24They told us coming into the season they were going to run him into the ground.
11:28They told us coming into the year that he was going to be their entire offense.
11:32We had never seen that at Seattle.
11:34Seattle, they had decided to decrease his carries per game every single year through the first four years of his career. And then after he won his Super
11:42Bowl, the Seattle Seahawks front office and coaching staff said, "Now we're good. You can leave."
11:49And he signed for the same amount of money as Travis Etienne with the Kansas City Chiefs.
11:53So I'm sitting here going, uh, are we sure that they're going to use Kenneth Walker that way? And yes, they are.
12:00Every time he got the ball, he looked like the best player on the football field.
12:04He looked like he was significantly better than anybody else.
12:07And almost every single play when it mattered at the beginning of the game before it was a blowout, it was the
12:14Kenneth Walker show.
12:17He was incredible from start to finish and what was supposed to be a tough match-up. 23 carries, 173 rushing yards, and the rushing touchdown, including a
12:2660-yard rushing touchdown.
12:29Again, I was sweating 40 points from Walker and Waddle for me to win the highest scoring match-up or the have the highest scoring
12:38team in my fantasy league this week and win 5K.
12:41And Walker almost got 40 on his own. He legit almost did.
12:46So at this point, if I go over to my running back rankings, I was already doing this in the Flock League live
12:50stream.
12:51There is no way I could keep Kenneth Walker from being inside the same tier with McCaffrey and Jonathan Taylor.
13:00Now I have Jonathan Taylor on my own fantasy team. If I got offered Walker for JT right now, I would say no, uh, to
13:08be honest with you all. I'll say yeah, uh, Kenneth Walker, incredible game, blah, blah, blah, but we haven't seen him hold up to a workload where he does
13:14get 20-plus touches a game and he remains healthy all season. That's not to say that he can't do it. The Chiefs
13:20are definitely going to try for that to be the case, but given the injury history for Walker, again, the fact we
13:26hadn't seen him have that full-blown workload, I would still prefer McCaffrey and Jonathan Taylor over him.
13:33But if you were to tell me that Kenneth Walker's your If you were to tell me that you'd rather have him over JT after this game, I'm
13:39not going to argue with you.
13:41I can't.
13:43So, Walker's in that same tier. I think I would very clearly prefer him over Derrick Henry, over Ashton Denty, over Chase Brown,
13:51over James Cook.
13:53We have offensive coordinator upgrade in Kansas City. This offense looks good again. And Kenneth Walker looks like one of the most talented running backs in the
14:01league. It's unbelievable. It's so crazy how good he looked today.
14:05Now, going over to the pass catchers, Travis Kelce got the ball that he was wide open with. He ran a while. He
14:11scored 10 fantasy points. Is this probably what you're going to get from Travis Kelce through the rest of the way, right? I'm not necessarily
14:16expecting much when it comes to um changes with the Kelce profile from a week-to-week perspective. Probably a player that does have a slightly capped
14:27ceiling in general, just given his age and his athletic profile at this point.
14:32But at the same time, like he's going to get targets. Going to be a damn good offense. And I think Patrick
14:38Mahomes is probably only going to get better as time goes on.
14:42So, I would not fault you for wanting to ex- be excited to start Kelce every week. I have Kelce inside the same tier
14:49of like Dallas Goddard, Kyle Pitts, Harold Finnen, and Isaiah Likely.
14:54Again, I think the ceiling's going to be a little bit capped, but regardless, you're completely fine to go with Kelce here.
15:01Now, going over to the receivers.
15:06Actually, let me go Do we want to go back to the running back real quick?
15:10Do we want to talk about Emari Johnson?
15:17Uh we probably don't need to. We probably don't need to. I'll say real quick, we We need to update him in our
15:20rankings, but Emari Demercado is the very clear handcuff running back.
15:26So, if anything were to occur to Kenneth Walker, Emari Demercado is the guy that you want, and you probably want to be rostering Emari Demercado if
15:34you aren't already if you have Kenneth Walker.
15:39Now, let me go through and swing this over to Rashee Rice cuz Rice is going to be the next conversation point that we need to have.
15:50Rashee Rice scored the receiving touchdown. So, if you started Rice and you needed 10 fantasy points, cool, you got them.
15:56Rashee Rice had two targets the entire game, wasn't generating separation, did not look good. The touchdown play was cool.
16:02But, for Rashee Rice coming off a knee surgery this offseason, spending time in jail, it is concerning. Now, of course, one,
16:11it was a really bad matchup for Rice.
16:13Two, on top of that, wouldn't be that surprising if Mahomes gets better as time goes on, Rice gets better as time goes on. So, I'm not
16:22nuking Rashee Rice in my rankings by any stretch of the imagination, but I did see enough today where I would prefer
16:28Chris Olave over Rashee Rice. I'm going to move Rashee Rice down one spot in my wide receiver ranks. And then tomorrow,
16:33if something happens, we'll move him down further. And then Xavier Worthy, I have him on the bottom end of my bench
16:39in the Flock league. I'm definitely not considering starting him anytime soon. I think he's still probably worth a roster spot, but yeah, not much else.
16:48So, I think we've talked about everything here. The big, big story from this game, in my opinion, is Kenneth Walker is now
16:59a top-10 player in my rankings.
17:03I think I could go back and forth between having him, Justin Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Taylor, CMC, like all of these guys in
17:14the same tier. If you wanted to put Walker all the way up at six, I'm not going to fault you for it.
17:19Like actually, if we go ahead and pull up Polymarket US right now, you're going to actually see that Kenneth Walker now
17:26with the market of regular season rushing leader has jumped to now being the favorite in this category at 21%.
17:37Before this game, Kenneth Walker was at 4%.
17:41And now he's at 21% and Kenneth Walker is the favorite to lead the NFL in rushing yards.
17:49I can't ignore this. I can't ignore I I just have to roll with the punches.
17:54But I think that's all we got for this live stream. Of course, if you wanted to check out any of those markets, you can
18:01find the link to Polymarket US in the description as well as the comment section. If you sign up with code flock,
18:10you're going to get $50 out of your account after you deposit your first 10.
18:14Polymarket US is also available in 49 out of 50 states. The only state they're not in is Nevada.
18:22But yeah, links in the description, in the comment section.
18:25I really appreciate you, ladies and gentlemen. I am very sorry about Kenneth Walker. I wish I kept Kenneth Walker on my team and um
18:33again, I'm not going to cry about having Justin Jefferson. I very much love Jefferson. Still scored the most points in my league this week, so very excited
18:41about that, very excited to be the king yet again, the number one team in the standings and hopefully I can stay
18:46there. But it'd be a lot easier to do so if I had Kenneth Walker on the squad.
18:50But much love, ladies and gentlemen. I really appreciate you and I will see you out with the live stream tomorrow.
