Cooper Kupp is a sit for Week 1 after finishing as WR58 in fantasy points per game last year with a 14.9% target share, 1.53 yards per route run, 37.1 receiving yards per game, and 17.6% first-read share. He had more than 50 receiving yards in only three regular-season games. Kupp ran only 48.6% of his routes from the slot last year but that number is expected to climb with Rashid Shaheed on the team. Against a secondary that allowed the ninth-fewest yards per target and 13th-fewest fantasy points per game to slot receivers last year, Kupp is a sit this week.

Kupp is past his first-round days but writing him off is a mistake. Last season he played 16 games with 47 catches on 67 targets for 593 yards and two touchdowns, finishing as WR53 in PPR leagues while averaging 12.6 yards per catch with 290 yards after the catch. When on the field, he remains a chain-moving target who fits cleanly into Seattle's scheme. His name value is gone, but his instincts aren't. He's a high-floor safety valve offering reliable production without boom-or-bust volatility as a steady bench receiver or FLEX option.
