Insight page

Bo Nix

PositiveValue29:31

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveRole20:23

The source notes Christian Watson is being moved to the Z position with a significantly reduced depth of target compared to last year, potentially making him a completely different and more effective player.

John Brotherton has drafted Colston Loveland on all three of his fantasy teams, indicating high confidence in his role.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeProjection17:11

The source is skeptical of De'Von Achane's outlook, noting he is coming off a pinnacle year on a poor offense with uncertainty at quarterback and wide receiver, which could lead to stacked boxes.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

NegativeUsage30:29

John Brotherton drafted DeVonta Smith after he fell in drafts, viewing him as a potential target hog, though he remains cautious about wide receiver twos transitioning into alpha roles.

Insight page

Drake London

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveSleeper24:00

The source is extremely high on Jadarian Price, labeling him a 'must-draft' sleeper at his RB24 ADP in round five, citing his potential to be a workhorse while Zach Charbonnet recovers from injury.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveValue22:18

The source prefers Jahmyr Gibbs over Bijan Robinson for the first overall pick due to the uncertainty surrounding the Atlanta offense.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveUsage10:37

John Brotherton considers Javonte Williams a 'blue chip stock' and a core part of his strategy, valuing his consistent goal-line opportunities and the strength of the offense over the flashier appeal of other backs.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

NegativeBust24:25

The source is wary of Jaxon Smith-Njigba, citing a potential 'Super Bowl hangover' and lack of trust in his production following a pinnacle year.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeBust16:35

The source expresses concern about drafting Jeremiah Love due to the team's potential to rest him late in the season if they are out of playoff contention.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeBust22:30

The source is skeptical of Kenneth Walker III, noting that the Chiefs' offense hasn't produced a top-12 running back since Kareem Hunt and expressing concern that Walker could be a total bust.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveValue10:35

John Brotherton has drafted Ladd McConkey on all three of his fantasy teams and believes he will serve as a primary gadget player for the Chargers' offensive coordinator.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeProjection28:48

John Brotherton does not own any shares of Nico Collins because he does not yet trust the Texans' offense or CJ Stroud to sustain high-level production.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveBreakout11:48

The source is 'all in' on Omarion Hampton and refuses to leave a draft without him, citing him as a must-draft player.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeBust24:31

The source is avoiding Puka Nacua due to concerns regarding a potential suspension and general uncertainty about the Rams' offense.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

NegativeProjection33:37

0:00Happy Sunday everybody! Everybody's drafting in the final draft weekend and I'm telling you we got some must-draft players we want to
0:06discuss here before you go into your drafts tonight or maybe even tomorrow if you're drafting tomorrow here on Labor Day weekend.
0:13And on this show I've got a very special guest and we've been talking to him friends for like five years now
0:19because we were in a bunch of fantasy leagues together and he's super passionate about it.
0:24It's the wild and wonderful, the great and powerful, I'm using these words here, I'm building you up here John.
0:30He's an actor, we've got Hollywood in the house believe it or not.
0:33I'm building you up here. He's been on one of my favorite shows growing up Full House, but on the newer version
0:40Fuller House, The Conjuring, Fast and Furious, I think Furious 7 I believe it is.
0:44I don't know, the resume is too long John, I'm building you up.
0:48And a fantasy enthusiast, John Brotherton, welcome to the show man.
0:51Hey man, thank you so much and like it's crazy, it's been, it has, it's been, I think it's even been longer than five years.
0:58And it brings me back to one of our first connections, which we were just talking about off air, but the amazing
1:05and CJ2K, which was, you know, we all know what he's going through.
1:09So just a quick shout out in prayers, because he was one of the first people that brought you and I together in that league.
1:16We were in a fantasy league together when we first met.
1:19And what a gracious dude, he came on our show, and we just nothing but thoughts and prayers for him.
1:25Because he was also, man, for lack of a better term, he was one of the OG sexiest fantasy football picks, man.
1:31If you got CJ2K on your team, he was, he came at the same time that fantasy football like exploded.
1:37So he was like the OG on the cover of the magazine that you wanted to get on the airport when you were getting on the plane.
1:45You were like, I want CJ2K because there is nobody sexier than watching that man run the football.
1:50So anyways, I just had to get that in there because our hearts and prayers and thoughts are obviously with him and everything he's going through.
1:58So, yeah, we talked about how humble he was and that was my brand was just developing then like it was big,
2:04but it wasn't as big as I am now.
2:07And I'm grateful to be where I am today.
2:09And like he was like so gracious to come on our show and and be part of our fantasy football league at the time.
2:16And so I'm wishing him the best considering all circumstances.
2:19Very sad to see that happen to anybody. Never mind someone is as nice as Chris, Chris Johnson.
2:24So very unfortunate. Totally. Well, speaking of his grace, I'll tell you a quick 30 second story.
2:29The year we had him on and this shows the kind of his true character that people wouldn't see.
2:35He was supposed to come on our show. We had a schedule for I think 8 p.m.
2:40Little did I know he was two hours away.
2:42So his 8 p.m. or our 8 p.m. was his 6 p.m.
2:46So he gets on and is waiting and waiting and he's texting us like, where are you?
2:51And we don't really know him well at the time.
2:54This is all we're just we had just met via like email and we're in pre-production for the show.
2:59So we're ignoring our phones running around like mad people.
3:02And he's sitting there waiting and waiting and waiting and thinking we just entirely blew him off.
3:07Our one opportunity to talk to CJ 2K on our show that we're trying to get off the ground.
3:13Finally, we check our phones. We're like, oh, I can't believe we left him.
3:17You know, we connect with them. He was so gracious.
3:20He said no problem. He sat there those that two hours and then came on our show like nothing had happened and was so nice.
3:27And we geeked out because we were me and Jay were such big fans of his.
3:31And you would have never known that that man would like totally just sat there and had waited to over two hours
3:38to then sit and have a conversation with us.
3:40So it's a testament to his character again. Thoughts and prayers to CJ 2K.
3:45Yeah, super humble guy. Amen. Amen. Prayers out to him.
3:47So yeah, too much to catch up on. I just wanted to do a quick video jump on and you're like, why is John on your show?
3:55Well, he's super passionate about fantasy football. And again, we've been talking for years and I just was meaning to get him on.
4:02It's just he's been so busy. You know, he's too busy for me.
4:06I'm just kidding. He's in Hollywood. No way. Come on.
4:09But it's funny. You say it's draft season. It's crazy.
4:12It's the last weekend because this is this is how it goes.
4:15I had two drafts at the exact same time the other day.
4:19Have you ever had that happen? Right. Where it's like being they both.
4:22So I walk in to one room. We were at Dave and Buster's with one league and on my cell phone, the
4:29ESPN like goes off and everyone starts laughing because everyone immediately knows that I'm in another league.
4:34Right. Because it's like we're all programmed to that sound now.
4:37And so at 8 p.m., I've got one on sleeper going and I got one on ESPN going and I'm like, this is classic fantasy.
4:44Just like they're like, hey, who are you getting?
4:47You know, as I'm like, I'm not telling you because I'm not tipping my hand in this league.
4:52And oh, man, I've limited myself honestly to like four leagues last year.
4:56I had 10 and it got ridiculous. And the thing is, I get angry.
5:00I get like seriously violent because I'm watching one game and I'm like, OK, I've got this player on this team and
5:06he's I'm playing against him in this team in this league.
5:09I'm like, which team, which like the conflict of interest.
5:12Yeah, I know. I got too angry. The first year you and I had played together, I was in seven leagues.
5:18And that was I realized that year too much because I don't care about anybody anymore because I care about everybody and anybody.
5:25And like, so I've realized three is right. The tipping point force too many and I could I could do three and
5:31still because then I end up having often a lot of favorites on all three teams.
5:36And then a couple other players that I just want to like, I'm interested in what he does this year.
5:42Like in one league this year, I reached for AJ Brown a little bit in the second round because I had it or I had it.
5:49I was like right after the turn. I was on like 9-11 and I didn't have AJ in it in my other two leagues.
5:56And and I really am curious about I think he's he could really explode with Drake May.
6:01I really love what Drake May is doing there.
6:04And so I'm like, all right, well, and this is a situation where I'm going to reach a little bit further than
6:10his ADP because I'm not going to get him by the end of this third round right at the 29th pick.
6:16So sometimes you got to do that. Sometimes you just got to reach for the guy that, you know, you want to
6:23have on at least one roster that year just so you can be a fan of his.
6:28But then other than that, I got guys that I have on all three.
6:32I've got Colston Loveland on all three teams. I've got I think Lad McConkie on all three teams.
6:37I've got a lot of Javante Williams. But anyways, I'll let you cue it up, but I was just jumping in.
6:43Yeah, no worries. I mean, that's what I want to talk about.
6:47Kind of like your must draft. Can't leave the draft without in the early rounds.
6:51Who are you kind of all in on like my guy people know I don't even want to spend too much time
6:57on my guys more focused on you coming in because you've been doing this a long time and you and I have
7:04talked and you know we have some difference of opinion here and there.
7:08Like my guy everyone knows Omar and Hampton. I love them.
7:11I'm all in. I can't leave the draft without him.
7:14I faded Jenti. I wanted to get your thoughts on Jenti because I think a lot of people have mixed feelings as
7:20soon as I saw them draft Mike Washington back in April man, I had him in my dynasty.
7:25So I'm in four leagues three main leagues. One's my big money, but one's a dynasty.
7:30I drafted Jenti last year. He was he finished 11th amongst running backs.
7:34I traded him as soon as I found out Mike Washington was there and then because I think Mike Washington could be
7:40a three down workhorse on his own. And then I find out in preseason now everyone's finding out that Mike Washington is an absolute monster.
7:47He's awesome. He's a beast. He's so good. And then I think he's going to dip in so much into Jenti's value
7:54and everyone's talking about now where it's going to really push Jenti out of his ADP.
7:58What are your thoughts on Jenti before we get into some of your early round guys?
8:03Yeah, no, I love this because this actually just comes down to kind of fundamental philosophies of fantasy football.
8:09I don't have any Jenti because I don't have any Raiders.
8:12You won't find me with any Cardinals. I won't have any Dolphins.
8:15I don't have any Jets. I don't have and this comes down to how I draft.
8:20I only have guys in like top 12 offenses period and like because everyone else is a question even if it's a
8:26volume guy or a chain and you know, they might get this many carries.
8:30I've just at this point gone. You know what this works for me is sticking to offenses that no matter what are
8:37going to produce because to me a guy like Javante Williams is is like a blue chip stock because he might not
8:43be as sexy as Jenti, but he's going to fall in the end zone on that offense.
8:48No matter what if he's just healthy like he doesn't have to be spectacular.
8:52I think Jenti has to kind of like be a little spectacular to then produce in fantasy football and he might be
8:59spectacular and that could work out, but there's going to be games where that offense just gets stifled.
9:04I don't think there's going to be games where the Cowboys are going to get stifled.
9:08I think you know, he's going to have so many free points basically like a guy like Javante Williams.
9:14So for me, I'll wait around and then scoop him versus kind of wondering maybe if just like, you know, love in Arizona.
9:21I hope he has a great career. I don't own any of them.
9:24I don't own, you know, there's like I said, I don't there's there's probably half the league.
9:29I don't own a single player on any team because I just I, you know, I don't want that's just kind of
9:36become where I like a philosophy that I stick to and it's in it.
9:40It tends to work out. So anyway, I want to add to that.
9:44I love the thought process there. Although I do think love has a ton of upside.
9:48The problem with those guys crappy teams is that like maybe they rest them near the end of the season if they're
9:55like oh and 12 like they're probably not going to play Jeremiah love when it comes to your fans.
10:00That's my only caveat to those guys. But yeah, like I've got Javante Williams as part of my core for what I'm
10:07creating this year is kind of like what I've done is I've gone running back.
10:11I kind of go running back, running back wide receiver, running back, running back.
10:15So I've got four running backs, you know, in the first five rounds because there's a major fall off about where I
10:21believe after Jadarian Price, the rookie for the Seahawks.
10:24I just yeah, I just have to get those running backs early.
10:27But again, I do love Javante. Like you said this year.
10:31I love the mind mind thought the thought process there and go back to a chain or a chain or whatever they
10:37call him like he is coming off a pinnacle year on a terrible offense.
10:41We don't know who the wide receiver one is.
10:44We don't know how good the quarterback is going to be.
10:47And so we're probably going to see a lot of stack boxes, you know, contrary to like what's going to happen with with Javante.
10:54They got receivers there. They got CD lamb pickings spread the defense back and open things up and no competition there.
11:00So, yeah, man, you got to kind of think strategy can't always go for the name and we're going to see so many.
11:07I'll tell you. I'll get I'll get into this, too, because this is what I love about fantasy football as well is
11:13like and you and I always we we have a differing opinion and I love it because you're you're you love those early running backs.
11:20In fact, I know sometimes in our league you went running back, running back, running back.
11:25And I am I am a old school before anyone knew what zero RB was.
11:29You can ask anyone in my leagues that I've been in for two decades.
11:33I was doing zero RDB way back in the day because I love to do opposite of trends.
11:39So for me, I have no problem going wide receiver, wide receiver, wide receiver, because I think alpha wide receivers are the
11:45easiest person on the field to to predetermine what their game will look like.
11:49In other words, I know the alpha wide receiver is going to get about 10 targets no matter the games game script.
11:56Now, I personally and this is, again, personal strategy, have an easier time than always leaving alpha wide receivers in my two
12:02receivers in a flex spot and then rotating running backs on due to matchups versus if you go running back early.
12:08Those guys are in no matter what. But sometimes those guys, you know, are going to run into a buzz saw because
12:14they're going to be playing against some defense at that.
12:17The game script is never going to get let Janty, you know, go wild when they're getting scored.
12:23It's say that the Chargers put up 40 points on them early.
12:26Like it's just going to change everything where so for me, I like to balance.
12:30I'll balance a bunch of like RB twos and threes because I'll find good matchups like, oh, you know, Krosky merit is going to have.
12:38I think, oh, this is a week where I can easily put him in an RB two and leave my receivers alone.
12:44So I am like totally opposite of most people where I'll go receiver, receiver, receiver, and maybe get one early RB that
12:50I know I can hang my hat on again, like a Javante Williams, who I know is just going to fall in the end zone.
12:58I don't really have to worry about matchups with him for me.
13:01Like I'll, those are the kind of early running backs.
13:04I like to plug in and then three receivers that I'm never going to have to worry about matchups.
13:10I think people run into a problem. They see lots of value receivers in the mid rounds, but then you end up
13:16with six, seven receivers and you get stuck every week going, well, what's three of them are going to go off.
13:22And it's very hard to pick which wide receiver twos are going to explode.
13:26I feel like that's very, to me, more difficult to predict than what running backs are going to be in situations to,
13:33to kind of determine, you know, to, to then rotate in and out of just like you could rotate defenses in and out.
13:39I'm a, I'm a streamer on defense as well.
13:42Um, but not this year. Cause I got Colston anyways, that's my, that's my strategy rant.
13:46No, no, I see that. I see how, cause I load up on wide receivers.
13:51Like I got Matthew golden, who I think is going to break out.
13:55I got Deshaun Striebling. I got Zachariah branches, the wide receiver two on the Falcon.
13:59So I've got like eight of them. I only got to plug it into two wide receiver spots, but the first couple of weeks, it might be shaky.
14:07Um, but I did anchor my team with an ace wide receiver early, like an Amika or a lad early.
14:13So it's only that one wide receiver spot. I'm kind of worried about.
14:17So we're talking strategy. I still like to go that robust RB early, but since you like those wide receivers early, who do you like early on?
14:25Because again, I, JSN, I just feel like super bowl hangover.
14:28I know pinnacle year. I don't trust him. We got a liability with Puka.
14:32Like he's got, he's, I don't know if he's biting people allegedly and all this, like suspension looming.
14:37Like, I don't know who I trust outside of Jamar Chase, who's pretty safe.
14:41And then we, do we trust Burrell staying healthy?
14:44Jefferson, do we trust Kyler Murray? Like somebody's funny.
14:46You say that because this has been my most difficult year to implement my zero RB strategy.
14:51No doubt. Because for that very reason, you're hitting it on the head.
14:55I don't have any Puka because is, is it, can I trust him or I love Stafford as much as anybody.
15:01At some point he's going to, you know, there's going to be regression or an injury or something.
15:06I hope to God it doesn't happen because I freaking love the way that dude plays football.
15:11But unfortunately everyone, all our heroes at some point.
15:14So to me, like I just, Puka isn't quite there.
15:17I am biased on JSN and that might just because I'm a Seahawks fan.
15:21So like, don't, I'm just, listen, I, you know, he was my first pick in one league at seven.
15:26And some people would agree. Some people wouldn't. For me, that's a hometown favorite.
15:30Uh, I, I agree with what you're saying that, cause that's, that's, that's what, you know, the stats say is there's a hangover happening.
15:37Um, it's for anybody usually. Uh, so, but you know, we'll see what the, I would say in that defense, the absence,
15:44you know, the departure of Ken Walker and the absence of shards early on, they may just have to lean on, uh, more.
15:51And that, you know, they lost a little D line love.
15:54So maybe they're in some more shootouts early where, uh, they're going to be throwing it a little more before they get
16:00the defense, you know, locked back where they were end of the season.
16:04So it could go either way with him. I love him.
16:07Cause I'm a, I'm a home. He's a hometown guy.
16:10Other guys, again, I, uh, AJ, I think is going to be just tried and true.
16:15Cause I think drank man, that Patriots offense is going to score a ton of points.
16:19Um, I, let's see early. I, I only got one share of jets.
16:23I'm really kind of nervous about him. Um, Drake London.
16:26What do you think? I don't know if the quarterback situation is going to be good in Atlanta.
16:31Drake London. I know, you know, I have him in a league where I have him on contract.
16:36So I have him as he came back. I didn't draft him in, in the other two leagues where, uh, it's, I'm nervous about him.
16:44I love, here's the thing. He might just get a million targets.
16:47Um, and, and, and so, uh, they might not be the best targets, but if he's getting 12 to 15 targets a
16:54game and catches six or seven of them and is constantly in that like 70 yard game with every once in a while breaks one.
17:01And then, you know, he was finding a lot more end zone targets.
17:05So I think like he might be all right.
17:07And that D I, you know, they might just have to throw the ball a bunch.
17:12I don't know. So, you know, he might be a sneaky one that everyone's kind of sleeping on.
17:17Cause they just assume he doesn't have a quarterback.
17:20But he might just get a zillion targets and end up producing, um, at the end of the year.
17:25Uh, who else? I think it's sneaky. Say it again.
17:28Nico Collins is coming off ahead, but we have to trust the Strout now.
17:32Yeah. Well, that's it, man is again, the, I don't own any Texans because I don't believe in that offense necessarily yet.
17:39Cause I don't necessarily trust CJ. I hope he goes back to his rookie season and that offense explodes.
17:44I think it'd be fun to watch the Texans.
17:47They got a great defense. I love their coach.
17:49I would love to see them make a run.
17:52It's just like, they deserve it after all this, you know?
17:55Um, but I don't necessarily trust them yet. Uh, so I don't have any Nicos.
18:00I don't have any, uh, shares of him. Um, who else early on?
18:03Um, but yeah, I was, I think lad, I think that chargers offense is really interesting.
18:08Obviously you get that cause you, you're all in on, on Hampton.
18:11Um, I just think, you know, offensive coordinators make such a difference in guys' lives.
18:16Um, both quarterbacks, receivers, running backs and McDaniels is, I just feel like lad's going to be his gadget.
18:21Um, and he loves gadgets. Uh, uh, that's how he operates.
18:24So that's just sort of my, my guess. So I have a lot of lad.
18:29Um, and Devante, I got some, and I actually didn't go into the drafts wanting to reach for Devante Smith.
18:35Um, interestingly enough, he fell to me in every league to write where I was like, okay, I can, this was either,
18:41I think I got him in like three in the third, third or fourth.
18:45Um, and I just feel like that's a situation where I wasn't going to reach for him, but I think he's just going to be a target hog.
18:53You know? Um, I always have issues again. I always have issues with wide receiver twos becoming wide receiver one.
18:59Some of them never really, I do too, man.
19:02That's, that's why I wasn't going to reach for him.
19:05Cause that I dude, I, you hit it on the, you hit it on the head.
19:09I actually rarely, rarely, rarely, just like I'm still nervous about Parker Washington.
19:13I'm still, you know, cause people have like, they explode for a minute when no one kind of had their eye on them.
19:20And then it's like, okay, but now can you dictate like number one coverage?
19:24Can you now what I'll help Devante is if they bring in some other receivers, like if, if Makai Lemon can actually
19:30figure his stuff out and can like start to be a threat, at least like on the field somewhere and like relieve that then.
19:37And then, and then the only other silver lining there is the times where in the past, say like AJ Brown was
19:44out of the game, Devante Smith actually did produce as the alpha versus sometimes when that wide receiver two is put in
19:50that alpha role, they don't produce to your point.
19:53I totally agree. That's why I didn't reach for him.
19:55That was always my gut is I'm like, well, I'm not sure where he, where he inevitably fell to me was a
20:02situation where I'm like, he's just going to get, I just feel like he's going to get the targets.
20:07John, thank you. All of this discussion is now reinforced by robust RB strategy because there's so much uncertainty at wide receiver.
20:14So there you go. You just helped my point.
20:16Like, I just think there's just, cause the uncertainty have in the early rounds, I'm getting that same uncertainty in the mid
20:23to late with these wide receivers because look, Christian Watson, who hasn't finished a season who can't crack 625 yards is coming
20:29off three rounds ahead of Matthew golden who came off, went off the game last year behind Romeo Dobbs and Dobbs is gone.
20:36So like, I just think there's so many guys, some rookies, some mid tier guys, mid round guys that could absolutely take off.
20:42Now, Christian Watson's a big one, especially because they're putting him in a completely different situation.
20:47Now where they're putting him at Z they're going to move his depth of target.
20:51Apparently it's half where it was last year in camp.
20:54It's been like eight and last year it was like 15.
20:58And so he's going to be a completely different player to me.
21:01That's he's just health. Like I love the player.
21:04I don't have any teams, unfortunately, cause I just, I've had him.
21:07He's burnt me too many times again. And what's the uncertainty?
21:10Let's let's flip it though. Cause there's a lot of uncertainty in that first round with running backs.
21:16Cause you could say, you know, CMC Mac would be number one overall period.
21:20If people weren't concerned. Well, again, I know. But so like you could, there's concern.
21:24I love Jonathan Taylor, but there's question marks, right?
21:27With that offense is Daniel Jones. Like what I love him, but is it, or is there going to be a regression there?
21:33Love James cook. Can he do it again? Can he lead the league in rushing again?
21:38Does that ever happen? It where, you know? So like, and these are all first round guys, right?
21:43So B. John love, love B. John. Does he have a quarterback?
21:47What's going to happen? He's going to have some stacked ax boxes, right?
21:50Like the, if I had number one pick, no doubt.
21:53To me, that's just easy. It's like tried and true locked in, you know, great offense situation.
21:58It checks every box. Cause like the one box that B.
22:01John doesn't check for me is like, they're going to be in some situations.
22:06I mean, listen again, he's amazing. I don't want to take anything away from him, but that it's where you start to go.
22:12Okay. One a versus one B, you know, the pros and cons.
22:16And that would be where I would always go Gibbs over B.
22:19John. If I had that pick is because there is uncertainty in Atlanta.
22:23And then after that, there's a lot of uncertainty in that first round.
22:27I mean, truly all the way to like Ken Walker people.
22:30I have one share of Ken Walker, but I'm also totally unsure.
22:33And he could end up being a total bust.
22:36You know? So that's why, that's why I think that Hampton is going to finish as the top running back behind Gibbs.
22:42Like, because he's trending up Mike McDaniel offense and he can do it all.
22:47He can run, he can catch. And then you talk about Taylor, man.
22:50He always gets hurt. Like, like prior to last year coming off a pinnacle year, he's regressing.
22:55And Ken Walker, the last time the chiefs had anybody finished even top 12, not even top 10 was Kareem Hunt.
23:01Kareem Hunt. Yes. Dude, that was pre, I mean, and the difference was, and if you go back to that offense, they
23:08had guys that could explode over the top. And so Kareem Hunt was not facing, they were a different team.
23:14I don't really. So I have one Ken Walker, Ken Walker share.
23:17Other than that, the chiefs offense, I'm actually, it's been a minute because if Patrick Mahomes actually is to me, and I
23:23love the guy and I've always been a fan is not as threatening of a quarterback if he does not have a
23:30Tyreek Hill and a Kelsey at his prime because Kelsey at his prime was a security blanket.
23:35And then that defense was stretched so wide because of what Tyreek Hill could do.
23:39It made Kareem Hunt's job really easy. This is a totally different offense now.
23:43And it makes me a little nervous, you know, um, he might just get the volume because they might just be a
23:50power running team, um, at this point. So, but yeah, there's so much to talk about here.
23:55I want to just go off on a quick tangent here.
23:58I got that. I love, absolutely love this guy.
24:00I'm all in. I cannot explain the value. Love, love, love.
24:04I cannot express the word love enough, especially RB 24 right now, round five ADP.
24:08And you're a fan of the Seahawks. I know I knew this was coming.
24:12Jadarian Price, dude, I'm all like, I'm giddy about this guy.
24:15I'm so excited. Shabronay starts on IR. Who knows if he comes back to a hundred percent.
24:20I am all in on Jadarian Price. I'm a kid at Christmas when it comes to Jadarian Price.
24:25What are your thoughts? How good is this kid in your opinion?
24:29First round pick Seahawks. I know. I, I, I literally missed him by like someone sniped him in every league.
24:35Cause he's that mid round guy. You're kind of going, who's going to take, you know, he, you have to go all those mid round guys.
24:42You're balancing when they're going to go. And, and I actually don't have any shares on this year.
24:47And it kills me as a Seahawks guy, because I think I'm, I think I'm as all in as you.
24:53So it, it, it, I'm trying to think, you know, again, I, I, I'm a hometown hero guy.
24:58I will see what Sharbs, if he, I mean, I hope he comes back fully healthy, you know?
25:04Um, but they may just, I don't, I know you, you're always ruthless about the injuries, but like, uh, I, you know,
25:10uh, if all signs point to them, just leaning into him early, you know, it's like a healthy young bell cow while their veteran is recovering.
25:18Um, it's like all signs lead to just like volume.
25:20And so, yeah, I'm all in and he could be the absolute steal of the draft because there is a scenario he
25:27could end up, you know, I always go with any player.
25:30Is there a scenario this person could end up being, you know, wide receiver one overall, you know, there's a world lad
25:36McConkey could be wide receiver one overall or whoever you're going through the scenario.
25:41Is this, and like, he's a player. There is a scenario.
25:44He could be running back one overall, you know, there, there's a, and it's not like that crazy.
25:49And there's an even easier scenario that next year he's undoubtedly a first round draft pick.
25:54Well, that only happens if he explodes this year.
25:56So like, I think I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm all in on your take.
26:00Like, I think he could be, you know, the absolute RB 24.
26:03Are you kidding me? On the super bowl, you know, winning team that just shipped out has one injured running back and
26:10just shipped out the MVP and then drafts this guy in the first round.
26:14Like they couldn't give you more signs that this is their guy.
26:17And then, and no one wants to give him respect, which is so funny.
26:21Everyone wants to draft the other love so early and it's like, great.
26:25He might have the, the higher talent, but we've seen this happen before him.
26:29How many Trent Richardsians are going to come out?
26:32Najee hair. I mean, love them all. Like at one point in their career, I don't wish bad on anybody, but like,
26:38we've seen so many like first round talents that were supposed to be so general generational or like someone, unfortunately, like a
26:45Jonathan Brooks game changing guy injury happens. So like why, why he's so late, but you've got like love so early, you
26:51know, with the cardinals on a worse offense. That's what I'm saying with the Cardinals.
26:55So like you have to realize this dude over here will fall into the end zone while this guy over here is fighting for every yard.
27:03Like the opportunity is just, so if this guy over here has a little more skill sets, like at this point to
27:09me in the NFL, that doesn't really matter anymore.
27:12Like I'd rather, you know, opportunities on the field period.
27:15Like situations. If I'm Jadarian price, you've been like, don't mean to knock him, but he's kind of been living in the shadow of Jeremiah.
27:22Love on the same team was the backup to him to some degree.
27:26You know, he didn't get as much volume. So it's like, dude, now it's my time to shine.
27:31Right. Right. No, totally. Everyone approaches kickers. Like no one goes behind the scenes and is like, Hey, I know this kicker
27:38has been working out or like, no, we look at it as situationals, right?
27:42We look at kickers as, as completely their situation.
27:44You're like, I want to kick her on a team.
27:47It's going to move the ball a bunch and score a bunch of points.
27:51Either he's going to get a ton of extra points or is going to drive down and maybe get stalled a bunch,
27:58you know, but we want indoor kickers. Like we approach that position totally as without any sort of like emotional attachment to them.
28:04If that makes sense as like an athlete, but it's funny.
28:08Then other positions, we get so attached to their, like what they did in college or like their athletic profile or like,
28:14and then you forget, and this goes back, this is my coming full circle.
28:18My point, like the situation in Seattle versus the situation in Arizona, I'll take the situation in Seattle every time.
28:24Just like I want Seattle's kicker every time, you know?
28:27Cause like it's, it's, I just look at the opportunity often above is my kind of first guiding light before I go
28:33then to the talent of the player, which might sound crazy.
28:36Um, cause some people are like, just, you know, talent always wins out, but, um, that's just kind of what I stick to.
28:43So anyways, it's amazing how long we've been talking.
28:46Once you talk about your passion and what you're passionate about, you can keep rambling.
28:50So just to kind of wrap it up here, I know you're kind of on the go here.
28:55It sounds like you're, you're busy too. And I know you're, you know, I appreciate you coming on today, but, um, so who is someone in your draft?
29:03So you've got, I know you have a lot of lad.
29:07Is there anyone else that you just couldn't leave the draft without?
29:10Like you're, you're in the draft. I got to have this guy.
29:13Who was that? Who was that guy for you?
29:16Um, let me think why I did. I mentioned that I have Colston Loveland on every team.
29:21Um, you know, I actually, and this wasn't that this is a side note.
29:25Uh, it's not that I couldn't leave the draft without him, but I have a lot of Bo Nick shares.
29:31I think he's a crazy value. He's literally been a top seven quarterback every year in, in, in like they only got better.
29:38Their defense is awesome. Their offense is great. He, he throws the rock round.
29:42He's only more comfortable. His receivers are singing his praise.
29:45They're talking about what a leader he is in the locker room.
29:48Like what is going on that if, if he, again, if you were to take away any kind of like emotional and
29:54you just zoomed out and looked, Oh, top seven finishes, like what changed?
29:58So for me, I'm just like, he was a no brainer to be able to stack everything heavy and then just pluck him late and go, okay.
30:06And then listen, if someone else explodes and I want to, you know, try to gamble, but he was just such an easy blue chip stock.
30:14That was so late that like was going undrafted in leagues.
30:17I'm like, this is almost crazy to me. If he like, it's almost like if you had a different name or pedigree
30:23or something, people would respond to him differently. But like, for whatever reason, you have a guy that is a top seven quarterback back to back years.
30:31And like, he's literally going outside the top 15 at quarterback.
30:34So anyways, he's a guy, um, any, I'm trying to think of late round, um, guys that I have, I actually think
30:41Blake Corum is a sneaky, uh, stash. Um, I think he could quickly take that job and run with it, especially in
30:47the situations that the Rams that, that a fantasy running back will score in the rain.
30:52I think he could be their goal line guy, kind of their red zone guy.
30:56Um, he's, he's at least at the end of last season was, was certainly like the explosive change of pace.
31:02And if anything happens to, you know, Williams, like it's Blake's job.
31:05Um, who else do I have? I'm trying to, I almost want to look at my, I wish I had my rosters in front of me.
31:13I agree with you on all these. Um, I don't have a lot of Loveland stock, but I see the opportunity.
31:19Romo Dues, they already banged up the other day.
31:22Uh, Luther, I think steps up outside of those guys with that DJ Moore exit.
31:26That's solid. I think he'll be good. I just didn't want to pay the premium for tight end.
31:31Love Bo Nix. I think the rushing upside is there finished top seven last year.
31:36So yeah, obviously if the Hertz is gone and Justin Herbert, then you're looking at him and you get him for like round nine, 10.
31:43I mean, it's such amazing value. So I agree here and Walter football, who's been on the show.
31:48He's got this amazing site. If you guys don't know Walter football, he's been, you know, studying NFL.
31:53He does drafts and all that. He's been kind of co-hosting with me here a couple of times a week.
31:59He's all on board with the AJ Brown and the Blake Corum picks.
32:03Cause I, I've seen a regression out of Kyra Williams and Blake Corum.
32:07Yeah. Kyra going like this. I mean, he's been a workhorse, right?
32:10It only lasts so long. They fall off a little bit and Blake is a dude.
32:15I don't know if you've seen his Instagram, but his workouts are crazy.
32:19Yeah. I saw the great Corum one. Yes. I saw that video.
32:22I'm on top of that. Okay. He's looking like McCaffrey in some of his, like, you know, uh, behind the shows hunger,
32:28shows hunger, man workout, uh, some sneaky late round.
32:31I have, uh, he is not sexy, but there's a situation because everyone's sleeping.
32:35Cause Jane Daniels has been hurt. If, if Jane Daniels goes back to what he was his rookie year, that offense is
32:41all of a sudden super high flying moving in that any offense with a running quarterback like that, those running backs produce.
32:48So there's a world where seventh round draft pick, you know, Krosky merit is going to end up falling in the end
32:54zone a bunch, getting a lot of handoffs, a lot, you know, and, and just isn't in some situations if Jane Daniels is healthy.
33:01Cause just, you know, if you go back to his rookie year, that was a great situation.
33:06So he's going so late that like, I've just scooped him up as a guy.
33:11That's like, okay, fine. I can bill, I can throw him in situations in an RB two spot when I see, Oh,
33:17that's a game where, you know, I can plug him in.
33:20Um, I'm trying to think anyone else. A good guy who's on the show last year, JCM.
33:25So yeah, I think him a lot. Nice guy.
33:28That's awesome. Um, who else? Yeah, no, I'm trying to think any other late.
33:32Receivers that I have. Uh, to the same, I got, I have a bunch of Romeo Dobbs actually.
33:37I think I don't like him. Walter likes him too from Walter football.
33:41He thinks he's going to be like the Wes Welker that offense.
33:44I don't know, man. I'm not sold. Well, here's, here's what I think.
33:48I think there's a world Drake may could throw for 5,000 yards.
33:51I mean, he's like, there's, there's a, I think he's a true gunslinger.
33:55Now he has an alpha receiver. And in any offense like that, it's like the old Eric Decker days of, you know,
34:02Peyton Manning and Denver, or like those receivers end up putting up crazy numbers, being a wide receiver to across from an
34:08alpha in an offense that goes bananas. And so I see that as an offense that could end up being like a top three offense in the NFL.
34:16So give me a shares there. Like, I think he'll be, he'll get, I wouldn't be surprised if he's a 10 target guy game.
34:23Um, they paid him. They let other guys go, you know, um, he's actually has a really high separation rate.
34:29He's just not had the situations I think in, um, uh, green Bay necessarily.
34:33Um, but quarterbacks have always loved him. Like, I think there's a reason like maybe like, so I think this is a situation we'll see.
34:40And he's going virtually undrafted. So like you can grab him so late stash him and he could quickly be a guy that's, you know, producing consistently.
34:48Yeah, man. I'm excited about the season, man. That was really good insight.
34:52I liked the back and forth. The conversation I thought was great today.
34:56Instead of just going, I usually do lists like, Hey man, here's our top 10.
35:00Let's go. You go. I go. This was a really good dialogue and I really enjoyed it.
35:05Hey man, dude. Hey man. I always like chatting.
35:08Appreciate you. All right. We're going to, we're going to guys go follow John Brotherton on social medias.
35:13And, um, yeah, man, I'm always a great conversation.
35:15I'd like to have you on more. I know, I know time scheduling and all that, but you know, maybe next season.
35:22Yeah, for sure. For sure. All right, guys, we're out today.
35:25Appreciate you guys subscribe and, uh, go grab 60 rounds.
35:28If you still got a draft, we're out. Thanks, John.
35:31All right, brother. Cheers.
