0:00This is the only episode you'll need for Fantasy Football Starts and Sits Week 2.
0:04I'm going to guide you through all the optimal starts and sits at each position.
0:08Who's in a great position to start and who you should consider sitting.
0:12So I'm ready to dive into this, guys. I'm super excited.
0:15I am an independent. I really want you guys to help support the channel so I can continue to do and deliver
0:21on a high level for you guys every single day.
0:23So hit the thumbs up. It takes a second of your time.
0:27Smash it, tap it, hype it, swipe it. And if you want direct access to me, meaning guaranteed access, it means answers.
0:32We're going to go through all this. I'm going to give you guys a ton of answers, but if you want to
0:38ask a specific question with your lineup, a trade question, anything you need, and you want to join the amazing community, patreon.com forward slash FF counselor.
0:45I've linked it below. Join the amazing community. That's patreon.com forward slash FF counselor.
0:49Also linked below. Listen, I'm ready to dive in.
0:52Let's just dive right in here again. Hit that thumbs up and we're going to get right to it.
0:57Okay, so let's start off with the quarterback position.
0:59And if you guys are new here, obviously green means good and red means bad.
1:03Bad matchup based on paper. Okay. Now two is obviously dealing with an oblique injury.
1:07We don't know if it's going to be him or rush, but they've got a phenomenal matchup versus Carolina this week.
1:13I'm still not starting them. And this is why I tell you guys, when you are drafting, make sure you anchor your team of today's quarterback.
1:20Now I ended up getting Josh Allen in one league jail hurts.
1:23Another Tyler Shuff is my backup. I'm good. You always, when it, when it comes to quarterbacks, guys, you don't want to mess around.
1:30You just cannot mess around with the quarterback position.
1:32Don't take any chances. So, that's what I tell people.
1:35So now some people are stuck without a quarterback or whatever.
1:38That sucks. Okay. Joe Burrow, great matchup. Apparently on paper with Houston simply, again, this is, this is pulling the algorithm from last week.
1:45Cause Houston put up a lot of points last week.
1:47It's kind of brought Houston down. Houston's a good defense, but because of last week, you know, they put up a lot
1:53of points, I believe against the bills. It says it's, it's not that good of a defense.
1:58So that's why Joe Burrow on paper has a good matchup.
2:01Kyler Murray. I think he's going to be that concussion.
2:03I think it's going to be kind of day to day.
2:06I still wouldn't consider starting. He does have a good matchup for Chicago.
2:10Jaden Daniels, good matchup. Baker Mayfield, great matchup versus Cleveland.
2:13If you have him as a backup, depending on who your starter is, I mean, such a great matchup for Baker Mayfield versus Cleveland.
2:19Anybody versus Cleveland at this point is good. That's why I've got Emika on the hire this week for receiving yards.
2:25And if you guys have still not gotten an underdog account, make sure you guys do that.
2:29Underdog Fantasy create an account, use code lion, go create an account right now, get it on the action.
2:35And if you want my pictures, go to a counselor's edge.
2:38I've linked it below. Why not create an account underdog, use code line and use the counselor's edge and cash in.
2:43It's a no brainer guys. So I've got Amika Ibuka on the over on his, why we call it higher on underdog on the receiving this week.
2:51So I'm super excited about what the potential is that the Buccaneers can do this week.
2:55So guys create an account underdog, use code lion.
2:57Pat Mahomes, great matchup versus India. I believe this is another primetime game.
3:01I think it's the Sunday night or I believe 8, 8, 8, 8 20 Eastern.
3:05Uh, should be a good matchup. Obviously there's been a lot of talk about, you know, possibly the NFL fixing games all.
3:11It's all hypothetical. We don't know. It's all alleged, but man, did that game look weird, including that holding call by, uh, Travis Cusway held the guy.
3:18And I think later on, I saw a video of him like admitting that he held them or something like that.
3:24This is what's going around on social, but man, oh man.
3:27I mean, you know, we'll talk about that. If you want, who's going to win.
3:31It's in the counselor's edge. Uh, Dak Prescott, great matchup versus Washington is divisional game.
3:35Sometimes these end up being tighter matchups, uh, to tonight.
3:38You know, I'm recording this on Thursday, Josh Allen versus Detroit.
3:41If you guys are tuning in Saturday, that means nothing to you.
3:44I'm sure Josh Allen does well. Uh, Trevor Lawrence, great matchup versus Denver.
3:47We saw how they got cooked by the chiefs last week, but Trevor Lawrence, good offense, and he's going to continue to deliver.
3:54I think, I think Michelle Tootin's got a great matchup as running back.
3:57We're going to get to that in a second.
4:00Jackson Dart and Caleb Williams coming off a hot week.
4:02As you can see 37 points. Now again, green means good.
4:05Red means it's a little bit tougher on paper.
4:08Okay. Daniel Jones, Malik Willis. Mind you, Malik Willis had 18 points last week.
4:12Drake may had a terrible, terrible week last week.
4:14And this is what I say. Some people draft Drake may think it, oh, you know, I've got Drake may I've got
4:20the ace quarterback, but he hasn't been in the league that long to prove that he's one of those ace quarterbacks.
4:26So I faded Drake may he's not a quarterback that I was personally into, but apparently a lot of people had him.
4:32Now I did have Tyler Schuff amazing, amazing week last week.
4:35And he's my backup because I saw the upside at the end of the year.
4:39Some people draft Drake may as their ace. And that was the mistake, right?
4:42That's why 16 rounds. If you got it, you're crushing it.
4:45Uh, jail and hurts. It is a tough matchup, but I'm not going to sit jail and hurts on paper.
4:51It's tough matchup. I still think he does a great week at 25 points last week.
4:55You're not sitting jail and hurts just because they have a tough matchup.
4:59Doesn't mean you sit them, but this is on paper.
5:01Jacoby, CJ, Jordan, love Bryce young, who's coming off a hot 35 point week, a little bit of a tougher matchup versus paper.
5:08And again, this is a guideline. Some people say, well, Joe, I still want to start jail and hurts.
5:13You told me to sit him. I didn't say to sit him.
5:16I'm just saying that the algorithm on this picks up sometimes if it's a relatively tougher matchup versus that position as a guideline.
5:22And I'm giving you guys my oversight and I'm telling you to start some of these guys.
5:27I think if you've got, you know, jail hurts as your starter, some people may want to start Tyler Schuff.
5:32It is a little bit of a tougher matchup versus Baltimore, but if you've got them and you don't have a better
5:38option or a two quarterback super flex or a super flex league, then you may want to consider Tyler Schuff.
5:44Okay. And just a quick glance at some of these guys in the mid range matchups.
5:48Obviously Lamar Jackson is a start. Jared Goff versus Buffalo.
5:51You want to consider starting him. Justin Herbert, I think we'll bounce back versus Las Vegas and Cam Ward.
5:56All these guys, you know, with all mid range matchups.
5:58No, note this Gino Smith. This is why I anchor my team as an ace quarterback.
6:03I don't trust guys like Gino Smith. Gino Smith had a good matchup last week.
6:07Only had nine points. Okay. So this is something to consider when you are drafting quarterbacks for next year.
6:12Make sure that you get that ace quarterback. Okay.
6:14Moving on to the running back position here. Let's go with the easy matchups versus position.
6:19And honestly, guys, it's really a no brainer. If you've got guys like Jameer Gibbs by Jan, they're obviously my starts.
6:24It's just really just a no brainer plug and play.
6:27Again, if you guys want to know exactly, you know, custom Taylor to your league, join the Patreon below.
6:32I'll answer your questions. I dropped the starts and sits quote right now.
6:36And I'm getting to people's questions, answering them for the next couple of days.
6:40I get to people direct access. Okay. And it's a price that everybody can afford to get into the community.
6:45All right. So Robinson, great matchup. I do like tooting this, this week.
6:49Um, I would take, again, when you're playing on underdog, go create a count use code lion.
6:53I would take the over on the rushing guards.
6:56He's playing Denver. We saw what Kenneth Walker did to the Broncos rush defense.
6:59They literally were non-existent. So I do like the tooting on the higher on underdog this week.
7:04Okay. Uh, Kenneth Walker, coming, coming off in a phenomenal week.
7:07Um, you know, 30, a great matchup versus Indy.
7:09And, uh, we've got Christian McCaffrey coming off a bad week last week.
7:13Um, you know, very easy matchup. I, Caitlin Black, some people picked him off waiver wire.
7:17I think it could be a good start. I really think Caitlin Black could be a good start as a flex if
7:23you guys are desperate, but, uh, it's gonna be interesting to see.
7:26I mean, McCaffrey, great matchup versus Miami. And I was, what I was telling people that is very simple guys.
7:32If McCaffrey does not do well this week and we started seeing some more Kayla on black, which again, I told you
7:38guys to face the Christian McCaffrey draft Kayla on black.
7:41If we're starting to see a direct 50, 50 mix or if Christian McCaffrey underperforms this week in a favorable matchup versus Miami, I would really be concerned.
7:48I, I would really be concerned as a CMC owner.
7:51I would just personally, you know, I would look to trade them high.
7:54As soon as he gets one. Derek Henry coming off that phenomenal, uh, 38 point plus we, it was phenomenal.
8:00Uh, another great matchup versus saints. Jameer Gibbs. Awesome.
8:02Love the fact that he's a workhorse with literally just no committee.
8:05And that's what I love about Jameer Gibbs. It's just phenomenal how his situation just opened up.
8:10It's, it's amazing. And, and the same thing goes to Montgomery, right?
8:13In Houston. And we saw both those guys tear it up and we saw how bad committees are because both these guys
8:19were just getting away at each other's volume last year.
8:22Now they're independents. And like, look at them crush it.
8:25Good for them. Right. They're both workhorse running backs, both in good situations.
8:28That's great. That's what we like to see for fantasy owners.
8:31Okay. Aaron Jones. Great matchup. Mind you, didn't have the greatest week last week.
8:35We got Ramondra Stevenson. I think Trayvion Henderson is going to come back.
8:39Follow my story mode on Instagram. I'll keep you guys up to date on injuries on my story mode.
8:44Turn on notifications on Instagram at fantasy football accounts.
8:46Okay. But Trayvion Henderson, I mean, just, you know, good matchup, but him and Stevenson is going to be a bit of a split.
8:53Uh, JCM coming off an average. Weak, great matchup.
8:55Alvin, I think he's banged up, but yeah, Travis ATN, uh, you know, could be a safe start this week versus Baltimore.
9:01Brees hall. Great matchup versus green Bay. Saquon Barkley.
9:03Great matchup. And Kyron, William Blake, we're going to see a bit of a split there.
9:08At chain having a mediocre, I think at 10 or 12 points last week, go look that up.
9:13Did not do well. Devin at chance. I told you to fade him.
9:16I think that offense is going to be brutal.
9:19Uh, we're going to have to see how that plays out.
9:22But guys that have it in tough. Now I'm going to get ripped on this, but that's fine.
9:26We see Omarion Hampton here with the second hardest matchup versus position, uh, versus Las Vegas.
9:31You know, I'm not really concerned here. I think he does better.
9:34I mean, he had an early good start to last week's game and then he just kind of faded off.
9:39I don't know what happened there. I was seeing a little more Keaton Mitchell than I'd like to see.
9:45Hopefully that gets, you know, brought down. And, uh, yeah, it is a tough matchup, but I'm still starting him.
9:50Marshawn Lloyd sucks. Just did, did nothing last week.
9:52Hopefully he comes alive. If you guys did draft them, Deandre Swift coming off a phenomenal week, does have it a little bit tough this week.
9:59I don't expect the same type of performance. Uh, Deandre Swift this week, uh, Shuba Hubbard tougher matchup, but obviously got to start him.
10:06Chase Brown. You got to start him to a tougher matchup versus Houston.
10:09RJ Harvey, JK Dobbins. Again, a bit of a committee split there.
10:13I don't trust those guys, uh, in regards to distribution.
10:15A John, the Taylor, great, um, tougher matchup versus Casey, but you can't sit Taylor coming off a good week.
10:21Uh, Jadarian price and Halani. This is one I'm a little concerned about.
10:24If you got a better option than Jadarian price, you start them.
10:28But, um, eight, eight hardest matchup on paper. I may flex him still.
10:31But again, my concern was I was seeing too much Halani.
10:34I I'm hoping they start utilizing Jadarian price to his full potential because that's ridiculous.
10:38You draft this guy in the first round, you bench him as ridiculous.
10:42I'd like to see more. I would still start him have faith that Halani takes the backseat this week.
10:47Uh, Javante, obviously a must start ninth hardest versus position.
10:50Jalen Warren, all tough matchups and Algier and Jeremiah love.
10:52Do you start Jeremiah love this week? And that's a big question.
10:56The big question is, do you start Jeremiah love for this week?
10:59I, you know, I was not happy. I mean, we had the volume, we had 17 attempts go to Algier and we
11:05had less volume go to, um, love. I think he had 11 attempts, right?
11:09That's an issue. I'm still starting them. And I think it was just coming off that injury.
11:13I think they tried to work them in slowly and the Cardinals look good that week, that, that week.
11:18And they, I think they had a lead. They didn't want to work.
11:22Jeremiah love their, their high investment. So I'm hoping he gets more work.
11:25I, I just feel that Algiers is going to be a pest.
11:29It's just, it's really annoying, but I'm hoping this week we get this straightened out and we see some more Jeremiah love
11:35and he breaks up for a big run. I'm still starting them.
11:38Uh, and David Montgomery came Scadaboo all, you know, Pollard.
11:40I don't trust too much. Uh, but James Cook start all musters and Gentie, Mike Washington.
11:45I don't see Gentie having another 36 point week.
11:47And I definitely see some more Mike Washington get integrated.
11:50They are playing the chargers. It is a tougher matchup and something to watch there.
11:54And Judkins hopefully has a better week as well.
11:56But again, uh, you just definitely want to start your starters.
11:59For the most part, if you guys drafted high draft capital, uh, don't panic, just don't panic.
12:04It's one week. It'll all work out. Okay. It'll all end up working out.
12:08If you got like some players just like my guy is Omar in hand and he was kind of my dud last week.
12:14He still scored a touchdown, but it was under 10 points.
12:17It's like, am I worried? No, like it was one week.
12:20He'll bounce back as a charge is a good offense.
12:23Mike McDaniels. Sometimes they just have that, you know, field rust.
12:26They, they, they're just getting back to the NFL speed.
12:28So they'll be fine. All right. Let's move on to the wide receivers here.
12:32Let's filter here by a, let's rip through it by guys that have good matchups.
12:36I think Luther Burden has a great matchup. Cleve Freeman was the beneficiary last week.
12:40That changes. Cleve Freeman has been in the league for like nine, 10 years.
12:44Hasn't cracked a thousand yard receiving season. He's not the solution.
12:47Luther Byrne is the future. So look for him to tear it up this week.
12:51Emika love the matchup versus Cleveland. Love, love, love him.
12:54Must start. He's the alpha dog. DJ Moore, definitely must start.
12:57And we've got Malachi feels a Malik. Malik was getting the volume there.
13:00Malachi not utilize as much. It was the Isaiah likely show.
13:03Hopefully they start targeting Malik Malachi feels a little bit more this week, but still, I'd still be cautious in regards to distribution.
13:10He's kind of the wide receiver three right now is fields.
13:13Okay. But he's on the field a lot. T Higgins had a terrible week last week.
13:17And I told you do not draft T Higgins in round three.
13:20And so did Jamar chase look for them to bounce back in a better matchup versus position.
13:25We'll see how that goes for them. Justin Jefferson.
13:27I mean, if you drafted Jamar chase round one, you got to start him.
13:31I mean, he had a bad week last week.
13:33You got to start him. Uh, Justin Jefferson, good matchup versus position coming off a hot week, obviously quarterback situations, a question mark.
13:40If Kyler Murray comes back, is that going to help him or hurt him?
13:43Something. This is a situation you definitely want to watch because you know, you get the backup Wentz or whoever it was
13:49coming back and you know, and coming in and feeding him.
13:52And then Kyler comes back. And remember last week, Kyler, before he got hurt through an interception on his first play, I
13:58don't think Kyler should be in the NFL. So I see him come back and flopping again.
14:03So I hope he gets benched and canned. Uh, Roger, all he had was one touchdown last week, but it was a
14:09lucky, I think it was one or two reception.
14:11It wasn't much, another waste of a pick and just major target dilution, which I expected there in Casey, uh, I'm on our St.
14:18Brown. Obviously a must start. Carnell Tate better matchup versus position versus Philly.
14:21I'm starting him. He is the wide receiver one.
14:24I think the Titans had a really rough start last week, but Carnell Tate was getting targeted a lot.
14:29He was on the field a lot. Look for him to have a mini breakout this week.
14:33Um, you know, Drake London, rough week, obviously quarterback play.
14:36If you got them, start them. Uh, Zay Flowers, check the injury designation there.
14:40Uh, I think he's going to miss some time.
14:42I haven't, I don't have no stock in Zay Flowers.
14:45I haven't looked up too much in that injury, but check that out.
14:49Uh, Garrett Wilson, you know, obviously got to start him.
14:51Okay. Take a look at the guys that have it a little bit tough here.
14:55Dobbs, what a bust week one, hopefully looking for a bounce back and putting some, you know, glue on those butterfingers.
15:01I don't know what happened, but this is the thing.
15:04If a player had years to wow you, you're not wowed at one position and one place, he's not going to come out and tear it up.
15:11But again, it's going to be a bit of a crapshoot, right?
15:14With Brown being gone, who's going to step up here for the, uh, Patriots.
15:18You know, some of these guys could really emerge, maybe pop Douglas.
15:21Nobody knows. It's a bit of a crapshoot. Uh, just be cautious there.
15:25Alec Pierce, a must start regardless of the tough matchup versus Casey Parker Washington, you know, um, definitely did well last week.
15:31Must start there for sure. Brian Thomas, hopefully he's back and healthy.
15:34He gets going there. Uh, who else do we got here?
15:37Malik Washington. I, again, some of these guys, I just don't, I don't trust Arizona receivers.
15:41I would say, you know, it's a, you know, Kendrick born did well, you know, Marvin Harrison had a couple of good catches.
15:48It's, it's really just spread around everywhere there, uh, with the, with the Cardinals be careful there.
15:52Uh, we got Malik Washington, Caleb Douglas coming alive, still some uncertainty as to who the one is there in Miami.
15:58They have it in a bit tougher this week.
16:00And again, all these other guys, just check it out.
16:03If your player's playing, you know, Stefan digs, Washington, you know, Antonio Williams kind of came alive last week.
16:08Could he be the one, the way that it sits now, a lot of people picked up Antonio Williams and there's like, do I start them?
16:15It's still kind of a three headed monster there.
16:18They got McLaurin, they got digs and so many ones could emerge, but, but nobody knows right now something to monitor yet as well.
16:24And Ted McMillan and Coker, Coker is banged up.
16:27Uh, check that injury designation. I just posted on my Instagram, but I mean, Ted's still the guy Coker's coming off that hot 35 point plus week.
16:34I don't know if I trust that, you know, that's, he's a hot waiver wire commodity, but he could be a one week wonder.
16:40Alave, you know, he's kind of in and out.
16:43He was in that last week's game. I think him and Vili are both starts this week, regardless of the matchup.
16:49You know, there's no Tyson there. Shuff's looking good.
16:51I would start them. And in this question here, Christian Watson, I do want to talk about this.
16:56I want to talk about Christian Watson, Matthew Golden.
16:58Remember Matthew Golden was the top target getter. I'm starting Matthew Golden.
17:02Watson had that lucky catch for 81 yards that really inflated his numbers.
17:05Okay. 81 yard receiving touchdown. So when you look at the stats, right, you know, Golden had 16 points.
17:10Watson had the 30 plus points. It was all predicated on 81 yard touchdown.
17:14Okay. But when you look at volume, who the guy number one target was, it was Matthew Golden.
17:19So that's something to be aware of. Okay. I'm starting Matthew Golden.
17:22And then you got this Mike Evans situation. Strieblings out for 10 weeks, like on a non-contact injury, which is ridiculous.
17:28But Mike Evans and Debo, I expect some of these two, one of these two guys getting hurt.
17:33I'm just not sure who, but yeah, definitely we're starting.
17:35And then Nico Collins, I would definitely consider trading for him when he's high.
17:39This guy gets hurt a lot. He's going to probably be out.
17:42He's doing anything with a hamstring. I'll look at it.
17:45I just posted on my story as well. But yeah, Nico's going to probably be sidelined.
17:50Right. So we don't know who's going to step up.
17:52Nobody is. It's just anyone that tells you they know is guessing.
17:55Okay. And then we had that big hit against Lad McConkie last week.
17:59I would fire up Trey Harris if Lad McConkie is definitely out.
18:02Look for Gadison to step up. Johnson, all these other guys step up this week.
18:06Okay. And then we've got Trey Tucker, Jack Beck, still a bit of a crapshoot on who the one is there.
18:12You know, Jack Beck had a bit of a better week last week.
18:16Puka, obviously a must start. So those are your wide receivers.
18:18Hopefully it answers a lot of questions. Drop your questions below if you have them.
18:23Tight end. Again, I told you guys last week, you know, outside the top four, it's, it's a bit of a crapshoot at tight end.
18:29Okay. So let's go over them. Kincaid, good matchup.
18:32Chig had a terrible week last week. Good matchup though, versus Dallas.
18:35You know, you got, you know, Josh, uh, John Bates.
18:38Don't trust them. Dawson Knox, obviously don't trust them.
18:40Jake Fergus. A lot of people are high on him.
18:43You know, grid matchup last week. I mean this week coming up, I really don't trust him.
18:47Harold fan had a mediocre week last week. These guys just not performing to a top level.
18:52Michael Mayer had a safe week, but Bowers could be back in check into that.
18:56Gusecki, is he going to, you know, I got him off waiver wire just to pad my tight ends.
19:01Good matchup. If you want to start him this week.
19:04I mean, he was heavily targeted. Is that going to continue this week?
19:07No one knows. And that's why the first two weeks, you got to feel them out.
19:12Sadiq had that touchdown. Is he going to be more integrated in the offense?
19:16I definitely see Sadiq getting more integrated in the game plan this week.
19:19Right. Cause again, he was coming off that injury, right?
19:22Uh, Loveland really, he's got to step up, man.
19:24Tyler Warren's got to step up. All these guys drafted higher just have not really, really done anything amazing.
19:29Auten's a safe start, right? Uh, guys that have a little bit tough Hunter Henry.
19:33We had Eli had that touchdown last week. Eli, uh, Raradon tight end rookie for the Patriots.
19:38Is that going to continue? Who knows? Again, it's all a feeler out week.
19:42Gattison didn't do much five points last week. Um, Gunnar Helm, not, not much.
19:46Uh, Isaiah likely had a good week last week.
19:48Is that going to continue something to monitor as well?
19:51So if you have likely, I would definitely start them.
19:54Let's take a look at the defensive matchups here.
19:56Um, you know, the guys that have a good matchup, they're saying the Browns, but I don't really trust the Browns there.
20:02Uh, Carolina versus Atlanta. Good matchup for nine is versus Miami.
20:05Great matchup bucks versus Cleveland. I told you about that one.
20:08Great matchup Steelers versus new England, you know, based on what new England did last week, again, it's picking up the algorithm that Drake made three, three interceptions.
20:15So it's telling me that Steelers have a good matchup.
20:18I'm not going to disagree. Jacksonville grid matchup versus Denver.
20:21If you look at the stream defenses, consider these guys, Denver absolutely fell apart.
20:25That being said, I think Denver does bounce back.
20:27I do really think they bounced back this week.
20:30Okay. Uh, Ravens versus the saints, uh, Eagles versus Tennessee.
20:32You know how Tennessee played really bad last week.
20:35And, um, and so, yeah, I would definitely think that that, you know, they'd be a good start.
20:40Let me go back to the defense. I lost my screen.
20:43Here. Um, and then Texans versus Cincy and then Raiders versus chargers.
20:46Again, I don't think that's as good. So take a quick screenshot, a glance at some of the potential defenses you can stream.
