Antonio Williams

NegativeUsage15:50

Antonio Williams was a viable deep-league flex option who saw usage, though his production was capped by the Colts' run-heavy game script.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveUsage21:53

Braylon Allen saw a 100% opportunity share in his recent game, which Matt Kelley describes as the best possible outcome for a fantasy manager. Despite the Jets' offense failing to produce, the process was sound, and Kelley advises managers to acquire Allen for upcoming matchups against the Bears and Browns.

Insight page
NegativeUsage35:10

Braylon Allen saw a 100% opportunity share, but his fantasy output was limited because the Jets' offense failed to fire.

Insight page
PositiveUsage103:33

Matt Kelley recommends aggressively bidding on Braylon Allen, noting his 100% opportunity share and advising managers to secure him for a multi-week stretch to help make a playoff run.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveValue53:38

Matt Kelley identifies Brock Purdy as a 'buy high' target, citing his elite efficiency (0.6 EPA per play) and arguing that he is not yet perceived by the market as the elite talent he truly is.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeBust24:10

Matt Kelley regrets starting Bucky Irving, noting that the usage trends shifted toward Kenneth Gainwell and the game environment was poor for a backup quarterback.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveValue55:35

Matt Kelley labels Carnell Tate a 'buy low' because he is posting a 30% target share—company kept only by elite rookie receivers like Puka Nacua—despite a lack of touchdowns suppressing his fantasy points.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

NegativeBust30:46

Matt Kelley regrets drafting Chris Godwin, citing the 'Terry McLaurin corollary' regarding the loss of athleticism due to repeated lower-body injuries. Kelley admits he failed to account for this decline in explosiveness.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveSleeper110:16

Matt Kelley names Colston Loveland the top 'buy low' across all formats, noting his consistent target volume and red-zone usage. Kelley projects him to be the second-most productive tight end in fantasy behind Brock Bowers moving forward.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

NegativeBust30:14

Matt Kelley considers Cortland Sutton 'dust,' noting that the big-bodied alpha receiver profile typically declines sharply at age 31. Sutton's recent performance of one catch on six targets confirms this decline.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

NegativeUsage108:45

Matt Kelley defends the process of starting DeAndre Swift in week four, despite the disappointing outcome, labeling it a 'great process play' that simply didn't yield production.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

NegativeProjection10:00

Despite being a popular streaming option in a favorable matchup, Daniel Jones failed to deliver for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Darius Cooper

PositiveSleeper57:19

Matt Kelley suggests adding Darius Cooper in dynasty leagues, noting the team's high regard for him and his impressive ability to make contested catches.

Insight page
NegativeValue107:12

Matt Kelley expresses personal love for Darius Cooper's talent and 40% college dominator rating, but advises against chasing him in seasonal leagues because he is currently operating as a WR3 in low-scoring game environments. Kelley suggests stashing him in dynasty formats instead.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeBust32:10

Matt Kelley labels David Montgomery a 'value trap' and a mistake to draft, citing the Houston Texans' incompetent offensive line. Despite Montgomery's skill set, the line cannot open lanes, forcing the team to pass more than intended.

Insight page
NegativeProjection42:50

Matt Kelley suggests staying away from David Montgomery due to the poor performance of the team's offensive line.

Insight page
PositiveValue102:57

Matt Kelley explicitly advises against buying low on David Montgomery, suggesting that Emmanuel Wilson is the superior target for fantasy managers looking for immediate production.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection110:43

Matt Kelley praises Drake Maye for his performance against the Bills, stating that he validated his Josh Allen player comparison by remaining competitive despite a lack of elite receiving options.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

PositiveUsage12:30

Emmanuel Wilson emerged as a primary beneficiary of the Seahawks' game script, consolidating touches and targets in the offense.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper57:50

Matt Kelley identifies Emmanuel Wilson as the primary waiver wire add, noting he is a primary back on a team with a great offensive line and favorable game scripts.

Insight page
PositiveUsage102:30

Matt Kelley identifies Emmanuel Wilson as the priority waiver wire add for the week, citing his role as a primary back on a team with a great offensive line that benefits from positive game script. Kelley emphasizes that Wilson will provide several weeks of production while Zach Charbonnet recovers from a quad injury that has caused significant muscle atrophy.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeBust30:24

J.K. Dobbins is no longer the efficient player he was previously, with his success rate on runs dropping to 25% and fantasy points per snap falling to 0.23. Kelley attributes this to the Broncos' poor offensive line and Dobbins' extensive history of lower-body injuries.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

NegativeInjury15:00

Jalen Coker was ruled out, forcing fantasy managers to make last-minute lineup adjustments.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

PositiveUsage12:30

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is part of the consolidated touch distribution for the Seahawks alongside Emmanuel Wilson.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeDepth Chart21:44

Matt Kelley criticizes the decision to name Jalen Wright the starter, labeling him a 'slasher' who lacks the size and versatility of Ollie Gordon. Kelley notes that Wright's route participation was only 10% compared to Gordon's 45% in Week 4.

Insight page
NegativeDepth Chart42:25

Matt Kelley questions why Jalen Wright is being named the starter over Ollie Gordon, noting that Wright lacks Gordon's receiving ability and interior rushing capability.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveUsage27:38

Matt Kelley views Jeremiah Love's Week 4 usage as a blip and expects his opportunity share to trend toward the high 50s or low 60s moving forward. Kelley advises managers to continue buying Love, as touchdown production is expected to follow his increased workload.

Insight page

Joe Mixon

NegativeBust103:12

Matt Kelley dismisses Joe Mixon as a fantasy asset, stating bluntly that he is 'dust' and not worth consideration despite reports of him working out.

Insight page

John Metchie

PositiveUsage20:50

John Mechie became an interesting fantasy option in deep leagues due to his role as the second receiver in the Carolina offense.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveUsage8:50

With Marcus Mariota injured, the Colts shifted to a run-heavy approach, relying heavily on Jonathan Taylor to sit on a lead.

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeUsage8:50

Josh Downs saw his passing game opportunities evaporate after Marcus Mariota's injury forced the Colts into a run-heavy game script.

Insight page
PositiveValue50:22

Despite a lack of production in the most recent week due to in-game injuries, Matt Kelley maintains that Josh Downs continues to be a 'buy low' candidate.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveUsage30:10

Kenneth Gainwell saw increased usage in the Buccaneers' backfield, including a touchdown catch, as the team shifted away from Bucky Irving.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

PositiveUsage40:22

Despite a zero-point performance in Week 4, Matt Kelley remains bullish on Kenyon Sadiq, noting that his snap share and route participation rate actually increased. Kelley advises managers to continue bidding on him.

Insight page

Keon Coleman

PositiveUsage111:23

Matt Kelley highlights Keon Coleman's 23-point fantasy performance in week four, noting that he became a focal point for Josh Allen in the absence of DJ Moore.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveUsage51:14

Matt Kelley highlights Malik Nabers' breakout performance, noting his route participation climbed to 91% and his air yards surged to 113 in week four, signaling a return to elite target share levels.

Insight page

Marcus Mariota

NegativeInjury10:25

Marcus Mariota's injury in the first half vaporized the passing game for the Colts, negatively impacting fantasy managers who streamed him.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveUsage38:57

Michael Wilson remains a buy-low target for Matt Kelley, as he continues to command a massive opportunity share, including a 35% target share over the last two games. Kelley notes that Wilson is delivering as expected despite not finding the end zone in Week 4.

Insight page
NegativeValue56:18

Matt Kelley classifies Michael Wilson as a 'buy neutral' player, noting his 35% target share over the last two weeks and consistent red zone looks, even if he hasn't converted them yet.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon

PositiveUsage21:44

Matt Kelley prefers Ollie Gordon over Jalen Wright, noting that Gordon is bigger, superior between the tackles, and more effective in the passing game. Kelley highlights that Gordon's route participation rate (45%) significantly outpaced Wright's (10%) in Week 4, making Gordon a strong buy-high target.

Insight page
NegativeValue41:51

Matt Kelley advises fantasy managers to 'sell high' on Ollie Gordon, characterizing his recent long touchdown run as lucky and suggesting managers should cash out on the hype before his role or production regresses.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

NegativeValue109:12

Matt Kelley identifies A'Marion Hampton as a 'buy low' dynasty target, suggesting that managers should use his recent touchdown as a mini-sell window to pry him away from win-now owners who may be frustrated by the team's overall situation.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

PositiveMatchup108:54

Matt Kelley advises starting Quinshawn Judkins in the upcoming week, noting that the matchup against the Browns is favorable regardless of the team's overall struggles.

Insight page

Rashid Shaheed

NegativeUsage13:10

Rashid Shaheed has struggled to find a spike week because the Seahawks are not being forced into passing situations that require deep shots.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveUsage22:49

Rhamondre Stevenson is dominating the Patriots' backfield with a 59% snap share compared to Travion Henderson's 37%. Kelley notes that Stevenson is doubling Henderson's route participation, proving his superior utility in the current offensive scheme.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

PositiveUsage105:31

Matt Kelley acknowledges Romeo Dobbs' frustrating tendency to cause mind-boggling interceptions, but insists he remains a must-start in fantasy because he operates as the number one receiver in high-scoring, shootout-potential games.

Insight page

Skyy Moore

NegativeBust22:00

Matt Kelley admits that recommending Sky Moore as a fringe desperation option was a mistake due to the low game total.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

NegativeUsage9:00

Stefan Diggs was a victim of a poor game script where the Commanders were unable to sustain passing volume.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

PositiveValue50:58

Matt Kelley reiterates the thesis for selling high on Travis Kelce, noting that he is outperforming his target share and benefiting from positive touchdown variance.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

NegativeProjection53:42

Matt Kelley suggests moving on from Trevor Lawrence, as the team's reliance on their defense and a successful running game limits his passing volume and fantasy upside.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

PositiveBreakout51:52

Matt Kelley contends that Xavier Worthy's production was suppressed by Rashee Rice's injury, which inadvertently funneled deep targets to other players, but Worthy remains a potential smash play moving forward.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeInjury102:15

Matt Kelley warns that Zach Charbonnet's quad has suffered significant atrophy following a surgical procedure, noting that the muscle is half the size of his healthy leg. Kelley argues this will require many weeks to rehabilitate, clearing the path for Emmanuel Wilson to serve as the primary back.

0:00Top 10 Takeaways Whoa Whoa B B B B B Well that was a week, that was week 4.
0:06I hope you all survived and advanced somehow. I don't know of many of my teams that won their matchups.
0:12Full disclosure, this is the worst week the Podfather has had in fantasy football in a long time.
0:18In a long, long time. Perfectly happy with the usage of a bunch of players that we liked.
0:24Very unhappy with the results almost across the board.
0:26Some good processes, some bad results, but also some bad processes and some bad results.
0:31And yes, there was a little bit of good process, good result along the way.
0:36Yes, that did happen, but it wasn't like week 1, 2, 3.
0:40Week 1, 2, 3, we saw everything coming. We knew week 2 would be a shit show as it always is.
0:46And week 1, week 3, we completely shredded. Nothing was a surprise.
0:50Everything was normal. Through three weeks of NFL action, everybody's talking about how weird this season is and how weird week 1
0:57was, but it doesn't compare to how weird week 2 was.
1:00And then all week 3 was such a weird week.
1:03I didn't find anything weird about anything that's happened so far until now, until today.
1:08And there was, there was a signal. It was known that this would be a cataclysmic week for fantasy points scoring, NFL
1:15points scoring, some very smart people with a lot of money to spend with sports books.
1:20They knew it. They knew it. And I found the breadcrumbs leading back to what they knew and how they knew it.
1:27These are the NFL week for betting odds on ESPN.
1:30Okay. The NFL week for betting odds. I think that you'll see something interesting as we scroll down and look through these odds.
1:37Colts commanders opens at 48 and a half close at 48 and a half.
1:42Nothing to see here. All of a sudden we see jets bears opened at 45 closed at 43 and a half Patriots
1:49bills opened at 49 and a half close at 48 and a half Cardinals giants opened at 45 and a half close
1:56at 44 and a half Cowboys Texans actually bumped up from when it closed from when it opened by a point Jags
2:02Bengals stayed at 51 and a half the entire week.
2:06Now look at Packers Buccaneers. It opened at 47 and a half.
2:09I couldn't even get my head around this. Like I was like, wait, is that a seven or a five?
2:16That's actually a seven. It opened at 47 and a half.
2:19It closed at 38 and a half. When this line opened originally, maybe it was pre Baker Mayfield injury, but it went down even more from there.
2:28Rams Eagles opened at 47 and a half close at 42 and a half.
2:32No quarterback injuries there, right? Titans Ravens. There was a quarterback injury in game.
2:36Lamar Jackson opened at 47 and a half close at 42 and a half.
2:41Dolphins Vikings opened at 43 and a half closed at 38 and a half on and on and on and on.
2:47We're seeing up to a 10 point correction from when the line opened and again could have opened before the Baker Mayfield
2:54injury comes down to 42 and a half after the Baker Mayfield injury with the super early lines come out before the
3:01games on Sunday have even finished for the following Sunday understood and then it corrects and it corrects.
3:07Most of these games kept correcting down, kept correcting down those that are studying with the most computational firepower finding out.
3:13Wait a second. This team is a terrible matchup for that team.
3:17That team is also a terrible matchup for this team.
3:20This team strengths are going right into the teeth of this team's defensive strengths.
3:25So the offensive strength is going up against the defensive strength and it becomes strength against strength.
3:30Or you have a situation where the Packers, they have a strength, which is air yard pushing the ball downfield.
3:36They're going up against a pass funnel defense and the Buccaneers.
3:40You would think, well, that's, that's strength against weakness.
3:43But then what that's offset by the fact that you need competent quarterback play on the other side to force the Packers to throw it all.
3:51So I loved this idea of the Packers playing the Buccaneers.
3:54If Baker Mayfield were under center, I think that would have been a very different game.
3:59It would have been a prolific Jordan love game.
4:02A lot of interesting stuff. When you look at these lines, it becomes clear that once all the data came in and
4:09all the conclusions were drawn about how these game scripts were going to play out and how the strengths and weaknesses of
4:16the offenses and defense that were matching up in week four, that very smart people with a lot of money to spend
4:23came to the conclusion that most of these games were going to disappoint.
4:27And that the games where there was going to be a lot of scoring, it was going to be a lot of
4:34random events and outcomes on the field and wouldn't necessarily affect your fantasy team in a positive way.
4:39So if you had a bad week for just know that the bookmakers and the smart money saw it coming and you shouldn't feel as bad.
4:48Like I felt much better about this. Like after I woke up very tilted, I went to bed tilted.
4:54I woke up tilted. This was a tilting week.
4:56This was the week. Everyone's talking about this. Talking about every week.
5:00This is the weird week. This was the weird week.
5:03I mean, it started so badly on Sunday morning where we needed Marcus Mariota to stay healthy.
5:09I can't believe I'm saying that out loud, but that's something we needed.
5:13We needed Marcus Mariota to stay healthy. And what?
5:16Right. He goes down and then they're bringing in a guy.
5:19It's hard to pronounce name. Not even going to try.
5:22And they bring in a guy that I barely heard of.
5:26And of course, what does that mean for what the Colts are going to do?
5:30That just means the Colts are like, okay, we're just going to run Jonathan Taylor.
5:35We don't need to. We don't need to throw the ball to Josh Downs.
5:39And the commanders are like, we'd love to throw the ball to Diggs if we could.
5:44So us fantasy gamers playing Josh Downs, playing Stefan Diggs with a matchup that was supposed to have a high, a high
5:51total with two pass funnel defenses playing against each other.
5:54This is what you want. It was a 48 and a half point total.
5:59You cannot feel bad if you streamed Daniel Jones or you streamed Marcus Mariota, the two most popular streamers of the week.
6:06Like when we were setting up the plays of the week, I felt bad.
6:10I was like, we're going chalk with these streaming quarterbacks.
6:13But I mean, Daniel Jones, there's no better week to play him.
6:17There's no better week to play Marcus Mariota. So when they're both in great situations to play each other, you should just play one of them.
6:25That was the logic that was sound logic. And then Mariota gets hurt in the first half and it's over.
6:32It's finished. It's vaporized. The game becomes just foobard.
6:34You can't worry about it. When injuries happen before the game, that can really help us.
6:39You can find a way to plug in Emmanuel Wilson when you hear, oh, Jadarian Price, he's going to IR.
6:46Oh, where's Emmanuel Wilson? Where's Emmanuel Wilson? That news comes out Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening.
6:50I had a birthday party to go to. I'm finding out about this stuff and I've had some cocktails and then I
6:57got to wake up and do starter stream with Chuck.
7:00And I'm trying to process on this foggy brain.
7:03What is Emmanuel Wilson's upside? This is pretty good.
7:06Pretty good situation. But also there's George Alani. Then it depends.
7:10Can the Chargers force the Seahawks into passing situations where we're going to see some George Alani or is it just going to be the Emmanuel Wilson show?
7:18And every single week, I think, well, the talent of this team, it has to find some balance at some point, some
7:25footing where they can at least make it a game where it's not just going to open up 20 to six in the first half.
7:33And you just lean on Emmanuel Wilson the entire game.
7:36If you've watched football over the past three weeks, that's what you assumed would happen.
7:41But knowing the talent profile of the Chargers offensive line, their quarterback, their weapons, this vaunted, esteemed coaching staff, you'd have to
7:48think that, well, they could eventually give the Seahawks a game.
7:51No. And what does that mean? It's the Emmanuel Wilson show.
7:55Touches, targets, consolidate, JSN, Emmanuel Wilson. Maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe you're going to get some Rashid Shahid, maybe a deep bomb to
8:02Rashid Shahid, but they don't need it. They don't need it.
8:05These teams are not putting the Seahawks in a position where they need to throw the ball down the field as much.
8:12And so Rashid Shahid has not yet had a spike week.
8:15But then again, the Seahawks didn't have to do it last year either.
8:20The Seahawks have been in more close games, been playing with a lead less this year than they have been last year.
8:26A lot less this year. And still no Rashid Shahid.
8:30It's an incredibly different, it's an incredibly difficult team environment for a deep bomb taker, a deep bomb executor, a shot caller,
8:36if you will, in a Rashid Shahid to have a spike week.
8:40Things really need to line up and they're not.
8:43So really it's consolidating around Emmanuel Wilson and JSN.
8:46Then, when you find out about these injuries before the game, you can get excited.
8:51When they happen during the game and you're streaming Marcus Mariota or you're streaming Daniel Jones, all you can do is shake
8:58whatever device you're watching the game on. We found out.
9:01Thank you to Adam Schefter, by the way. We found out well before the game.
9:05Jalen Coker is unlikely to play. We found out in the morning.
9:09That was so important. Before Adam Schefter was around, we used to go into Thursday Night Football wondering whether Jalen Coker was going to play.
9:17And then if you have to sub him out, now your choices are highly limited.
9:22So I want to thank Adam Schefter for letting me know to take Jalen Coker out of all my lineups.
9:28It was actually quite a tedious process to take him out of all my lineups, but I'm glad I did.
9:34Sleeper has this auto sub feature. Use the auto sub feature every time I see a guy is questionable.
9:40Even though I thought Jalen Coker was going to play.
9:43We assumed he was going to play. Seemed like he was on track to play.
9:48Didn't play. It happens. But at least we found out beforehand.
9:52Little less notice with Terry McLaurin because the game is starting at 930.
9:56But still, it's like, oh, we have time. We can get Antonio Williams in lineups in these deep leagues with lots of flex options, especially dynasty leagues.
10:04I'm in a lot of dynasty leagues, as you know, all these orphans I took over plugged in some Antonio Williams.
10:11Seemed like a good process play. He almost scored a touchdown.
10:14But his quarterback went down and the game became, hey, let's watch the Colts sit on a lead with Jonathan Taylor.
10:21And then we're just crumpling up papers and throwing them away.
10:24But before the game, the Carolina game, we knew it was going to be consolidated.
10:29We knew this was Tett McMillan week. Shift into Tett McMillan overdrive.
10:33It was just a shame that that game wasn't on the main slate.
10:37Oh, if only that game was on the main slate.
10:40Oh, baby. Tett McMillan, Tett McMillan, Tett McMillan. And it was the most consolidated touch distribution of the year.
10:46That was the beauty of that game. And then we saw the law of the conservation of touches was on display like
10:53never before in Carolina with this Carolina game. I mean, it was a beautiful thing to watch.
10:58It was a beautiful thing to behold. What if you don't have any more running backs left?
11:03And what if you don't have any more wide receivers left except your number one running back and your number one receiver?
11:10It's just it's a very rare thing that that would ever play itself out.
11:15And yet it did. And they happen to be at home against the Lions.
11:19It was just the absolute nuts setup for Tett McMillan.
11:22And then typically what would happen is just when you were ready to go all in on young Hubbard McMillan, that that trio, Bryce Young would go down.
11:31Right. That's what would. Oh, that's we can't have nice things throughout the day.
11:35We couldn't have nice things. We couldn't have nice things.
11:39The NFL kept dangling and then taking away, dangling and then taking away.
11:43But I can't claim that it was the most shocking random event, because as we talked about at the beginning of the
11:50show, the smart people, the bookmakers, they knew. And during the Starter Stream show, we get questions about why is Player X?
11:56We had the questions about Jalen Coker. How could you have Jalen Coker ranked so high in week one, week two?
12:03I remember these questions on Sunday morning and a lot of it went right back to, hey, the game total is up
12:10there now, like especially week two, week three, week four with Carolina.
12:14The game total is getting up there. So you got to get McMillan in your lineup.
12:19You got to get Coker in your lineup. We recommended playing Darren Waller and, you know, it was a catastrophe.
12:25We're going to get into this a little bit later in the show, but we are going to go through some of
12:32the plays of the week from last week. Some of my top 10 takeaways, some of the fab guidance.
12:38I want to do a retrospective, a learning retrospective to find out where the process was wrong, but the outcome might have
12:45been right, where the process was right and the outcome was wrong and so on and so on and so on.
12:51McMillan had 16 targets and almost 200 yards with two touchdowns because the second receiver was John Mechie.
12:57John Mechie becomes interesting in that game environment. When you're me and you have John Mechie in these deep dynasty leagues, John
13:04Mechie is a guy that I played. I started some John Mechie just like I played some Antonio Williams because it's a
13:11question of, will I have all these wide receiver threes and I'm trying to find the exact right scenario.
13:17And I thought, as we talked about in the plays of the week, it might've been Sky Moore.
13:23No, no. Sky Moore, playing Sky Moore as a fringe desperation option was not good enough.
13:28That was bad advice because the game total was 38 and a half.
13:32That's why. For no other reason. No other reason than that.
13:35Game total is a fun marker in the sand to aim for, to challenge, to push.
13:40Every week there's a game where we're like, every game has tens of millions of lines of code grinding predicted outcomes, projections
13:47for yards, points scored, ultimately fantasy points for all these games across all these bookmakers, all these sports books.
13:53It's the law of big numbers, the big data game.
13:56That's the best thing you can go on is the game total.
14:00That is every week, our starting point for creating projections is what is the game total?
14:05And we work from there because that's where you have the ability to take advantage of big data.
14:11Big data is your friend and it is best illustrated in the world of betting and fantasy sports in the game totals.
14:17And yet there are situations where we have edge and we say, I think this game is going to go over.
14:24I think this game is going to go under.
14:27I have a self-imposed rule that because game totals are such a powerful signal, such an incredible tool, the foundation of any
14:34projection system that you can at most go against game totals.
14:37Predict a game total to be significantly one way or the other over or under once a week only.
14:43That's it. And the game I chose last week to say, you know what?
14:48I'm going to take some players in this game with a 38 and a half point total.
14:53I posted it on Twitter. I said, I think I got to play Bucky Irving this week.
14:58I got to do it. I might even dabble with a little Sky Moore in these deep leagues.
15:04And the theory is that it's not a pass funnel defense that the Buccaneers have.
15:09It's not just that. It's that not only do the Buccaneers have a pass funnel defense, the Packers themselves have a pass funnel offense.
15:16So you have pass funnel defense with a pass funnel offense.
15:20They meet. It's a pass fire hose. We coined the term we talked about on every show.
15:25We coined the term on the starter stream show.
15:28And I just couldn't get off it. Couldn't get off Matthew Golden.
15:32Couldn't get off Christian Watson. Couldn't bench those guys.
15:34Wasn't saying these are plays of the week. But when I was trying to pick a fringe wide receiver three, not knowing
15:41all these guys would eventually become wide receiver twos because of injuries being reported on Friday night, Saturday, Sunday morning.
15:48We identified Antonio Williams and Sky Moore. Antonio Williams like, oh, he's a wide receiver too.
15:53If we were republishing it Sunday morning, I would have said John Mechie wide receiver two.
15:58Right. If we had the option, I like Roman Wilson.
16:01We didn't have those options. We ended up with Sky Moore in a game, a wide receiver three in a game with
16:08a 38 and a half point total. And playing Bucky Irving in a game where the Buccaneers had the fewest implied points
16:15of almost any team on the slate. It was a terrible game situation to play Bucky Irving.
16:20They're going on the road with their backup quarterback.
16:23And this is not a top 10 backup quarterback in the league.
16:27What are we doing? Right. It was actually at home.
16:30It was actually at home. That was why. That had to be why.
16:34You know what? That is why. I think that is why.
16:37I was concerned. If you go to my tweet at fantasy underscore mansion, I was concerned about the game total.
16:43I said, in spite of the game total, I'm playing Bucky Irving anyway.
16:48We have this new sponsor, sport dot fun. It is very fun.
16:51It's a fun game. It's a fun game to play.
16:54You basically set up five guys. It's a five man DFS team.
16:58And then if they exceed expectations, you get gold.
17:01You can use that gold to invest in players.
17:04You have a portfolio of players. And if you hold for three weeks, if you sign up from our code or clicking
17:11the link in the description, you get 50% back in extra gold.
17:15So there's a link in the description to sign up at sport dot fun.
17:19I just happened to sign up before week four, a week that wasn't fun.
17:23Right. So that was the problem. Like, well, I should I'll get some extra gold.
17:28I'll be able to invest in more shares of players.
17:31It's going to be great. Played Bucky Irving. Right.
17:34In spite of the low game total. And the reason I did was because he was at home.
17:40I was like, OK, well, at least he's at home.
17:43You know, if it were a road game, if they were going to Green Bay, no way I play Bucky Irving.
17:49No way. But I talked myself into it because it was a home game.
17:54That is how that is how it played out.
17:57I'm thinking through like, how did it come to be?
18:00There's no way I would have played him on the road.
18:03But at home, what else are they going to do?
18:06They're going to be drawn up plays for Bucky Irving.
18:10They want to make it easy. They want to make a point and click offense for Jalen Daniels.
18:15And then a running back did score a touchdown on a dump off.
18:19But it was Kenneth Gainwell. Right. All the usage trends for Bucky Irving went in the wrong direction.
18:25We're like, he's getting a 70 plus percent snap share and opportunity share.
18:29And then now with the backup quarterback, suddenly it's more Kenneth Gainwell.
18:33OK, cool. I could look back and say I was playing Bucky Irving based on this usage trend.
18:38And then the team inexplicably changed that trend. Not my fault.
18:42It was my fault. It was my fault. If there was one takeaway where I made an error or I would admit
18:49making an error in week four, it was playing Packers and Buccaneers in a game with a 38 and a half point total.
18:56Because I said this is the one game where I think it's going to go over.
19:01Jalen Daniels can make plays. He's not Jaden Daniels, but he can make plays.
19:05And this team has weapons. He can get the ball to Ibuka.
19:09They're going to draw plays in and around the line of scrimmage that will allow them to matriculate the ball down the field.
19:16He doesn't have to push the ball down the field.
19:20They got Godwin. They get Ibuka. They got Bucky.
19:22They got Kenneth Gainwell. This is a great setup for a backup quarterback.
19:26I think this game's going over, especially because on the other side, you're going to have Jordan Love airing it out against the Buccaneers secondary.
19:34And the Buccaneers aren't going to let the Packers run the ball at all.
19:39So the Packers won't be able to run the ball at all.
19:42So this game's going over. It didn't. It went under.
19:46And you play this game where you try to beat Vegas.
19:49Sometimes you get got. So we got got. We pushed it.
19:52We pushed it. We're like, okay, three weeks in a row.
19:56We can find the game that's going to go over.
19:59Usually it's because of the Jets. Follow the Jets this week.
20:03Didn't love the Jets. Not sure why. Wasn't super into all these Jets.
20:07Wasn't playing Isaiah Williams as a fringe option. Could have.
20:10Didn't. We were playing Braylon Allen. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm.
20:13Not good. Even though that one is the opposite of the Bucky Irving play.
20:17The Bucky Irving play was a mistake. You push your luck every week going against Vegas.
20:22Three times. You, you, you're in the clear. And then you roll a seven on the fourth shot.
20:28And that's, that's what happens. That's sports. But it was a mistake.
20:31Absolutely. Playing Bucky Irving over better options was a mistake.
20:35Playing Sky Moore in that game with that game total.
20:38Even though everything looked like it was going over.
20:41There was information I didn't have about that matchup that a lot of smart money had.
20:46And a lot of big machines with big computers crunching data had that I didn't.
20:50That, that's the, that's the makings of an error.
20:53I was happy to see it actually, because I was looking at some of these other outcomes thinking, man, it's hard to
21:00argue that this was a mistake, but there's no way you can have a week this bad and not have correctable errors.
21:07And putting any chips on a game with a 38 and a half point total is usually a mistake.
21:13And this week it was, but if you played Braylon Allen, you can't, you can't be regretting that decision.
21:19Braylon Allen had a 100% snap share, 100% opportunity.
21:22He didn't have a 100% snap share, but he had a 100% opportunity share.
21:26He had effectively 100% snap share. I mean, you couldn't have asked for anything more.
21:31It's just the, the jets didn't fire at all ever in this game.
21:35You shrug your shoulders and move on. There's nothing you can do.
21:39It was a good process. Just like our process of picking up Ollie Gordon over Jalen, right?
21:44Right. We said, there's going to be an opportunity to get Ollie Gordon at value, put more, even more down on Braylon
21:51Allen because fantasy football, by the time you get to week four, it's a week to week sport.
21:57It's a week to week game. So you might as well go and get Braylon Allen for this week against the bears next week against the Browns.
22:05And then all these future weeks where anything can happen.
22:08You want Braylon Allen and then you want Ollie Gordon and get out of here with Jalen Wright.
22:14And they're naming Jalen Wright, the starter. And I'm just like, okay, go to the dynasty rankings, go to any rankings.
22:20You're going to see Ollie Gordon is here. Jalen Wright is here.
22:24Why? Because Ollie Gordon, sadly, is similar to Ramadre Stevenson in that he's bigger.
22:29He's better between the tackles and he's better in the passing game than a slasher like Jalen Wright.
22:34And that's what's happening in New England is the Patriots are deploying their offense and all these different game situations.
22:40And they're like, well, Ramadre Stevenson actually helps us here.
22:44Ramadre Stevenson is a better, a better player. In this situation, Ramadre Stevenson has more utility in this down and distance.
22:50And then you look up and this is how Ramadre Stevenson has played 59% of New England snaps to Travion's 37%.
22:57Ramadre is almost doubling the route participation rate of Travion Henderson.
23:00This is a, this is an absolute debacle. What's happening with Travion Henderson.
23:04He is looking like a bust. Shadarian Price looking like a bust.
23:08If you go down the board, another takeaway, I think this is takeaway three, four.
23:13I don't know. I've already lost track. Will we get to 10 takeaways?
23:17Will we go over 10 takeaways? We're never going under 10 takeaways.
23:21How far over 10 takeaways really is the question or as, as it is every week, right?
23:26Takeaway number one was nothing compares to full opportunity consolidation.
23:29No Jalen Coker, no Ligot, no HN ETN in the backfield, no Jonathan Brooks.
23:34What does that mean? It's all about Hubbard, all about Ted McMillan, and maybe some Darren Waller for lucky.
23:39And we weren't lucky. That was takeaway number one.
23:42And takeaway number two is, I guess really we're not anywhere.
23:46We haven't gone anywhere. We've really, we're just wrapping up takeaway number one.
23:50So we can move on to takeaway number two.
23:53There was some other sub takeaways in there. So there were some micro takes in there.
23:58I guess that there was a, there was a whole looking back at lessons learned from last week and the biggest blunder
24:05that I've made all season was explainable and something we can build on and learn from.
24:10So that's a takeaway. So now we're on to takeaway three.
24:13So now we're in takeaway three. Takeaway three is interesting.
24:16Robust RB was the only way to go in seasonal league drafts.
24:20That was it. And that was all. And by the way, I know I'm still wearing the Mike McDaniel sunglasses.
24:26If you're wondering why the Mike McDaniel sunglasses, I will be wearing these sunglasses until Mike McDaniel is fired.
24:32And I think he will be the first offensive coordinator fired.
24:36He is a fraud. I think he will get another job somewhere, probably in college.
24:40And he will, he will end up rebuilding his career and he will be back in the NFL, but he has to
24:47go to college and pay a penance in college, but he'll be back.
24:51I'm sure chargers fans are saying there's no way he'll be back.
24:55This is, this is unforgivable. We're all in four.
24:58We were, I thought we're going to make the super bowl.
25:01I thought charges were a contender to make the super bowl.
25:05Did you put it in the comments? Let us know.
25:08Did you think the chargers had a chance this year during the summer?
25:12Did you think the chargers were a contender for the super bowl?
25:16I did. I did. So it's understandable. I think he's gone banished forever, never to return.
25:21Not so fast. We will see Mike McDaniel again, but I will continue to wear his sunglasses until he is fired.
25:27So let's go somewhere. I had a listener, I had a listener send us an email.
25:33Podfather at rotowonderworld.com. Great email by a listener. Said it makes no sense why you wouldn't show the data analysis tool more often on the show.
25:41And I thought about it and I said, well, that's true.
25:44I mean, I use it all the time when I am preparing the show, but I don't often show it on the stream or streaming it live.
25:53So we stream this show, Top 10 Takeaways is streamed on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter X every Monday around one o'clock.
25:59Sometimes it's 1230. Sometimes it's 130. Just depends on how long it takes me to get 10 takeaways.
26:05I wake up in the morning with like five takeaways and then I have to find my next five takeaways.
26:11And sometimes it takes a few hours. Sometimes it takes five minutes.
26:15And I think it all comes to me at once.
26:18So it's in that zone. Now we can't always promise exactly one o'clock, but at some point around the one o'clock, we're
26:25going to be live streaming the Top 10 Takeaways.
26:27So we have it up here on the screen, the data analysis tool on Player Profiler.
26:32Subscribe to it and you support everything we're doing.
26:35And you get incredible access to downloadable data unlike anything else.
26:39So we go here. We can look up underdog ADP from this past season, this past summer, and then just juxtapose it with the fantasy points per game.
26:48And you're going to see sorted everyone you would expect to see.
26:51Gibbs, B. John, Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor, James Cook, Chase Brown, Kenneth Walker.
26:55Those were the top 15 players that were running backs.
26:59That's the list. Then you're at Saquon at that point.
27:02I think Saquon went like 15, 16 in most drafts.
27:05Right after him was a Marion Hampton, H. Chan.
27:08So it falls apart, right? The first five plus running backs, seven running backs, they're all delivering.
27:13Chase Brown, not exactly, but Chase Brown's giving you just enough.
27:16And these other guys are smashing. Then you get to Barkley, Hampton, H.
27:21Chan. Barkley has been dealing with nagging injuries. H.
27:23Chan has a season-ending injury. And a Marion Hampton is dealing with Mike McDaniel and a dysfunctional offense.
27:29And then you're at Gentry, pick 20. Derrick Henry is absolutely smashing, 25 fantasy points a game.
27:34Javante Williams, he's up to 20 fantasy points per game after this week's performance.
27:39He was amazing. He was the running back you wanted.
27:42Jeremiah Love, his usage is going up. I mean, it came back down this week.
27:47So it was massively on the rise. His opportunity share was like over 60%.
27:51That was not sustainable. That week three opportunity share was not sustainable.
27:55But I think what you're going to see moving forward is something between what we saw, like 50-50 with Algier getting the touchdown, sadly.
28:02And then the week before, Jeremiah Love was at closer to 70%.
28:06And it'll settle in high 50s, low 60s. The opportunity share tilting toward Jeremiah Love week in, week out.
28:12So I think week four was a blip. I think what we saw in week three, calling the bottom on Jeremiah Love,
28:19it's only going to continue to go up from here.
28:22He hasn't really cashed in with touchdowns yet. That's coming.
28:25So big spike weeks coming for Jeremiah Love. Continue to buy him wherever you can.
28:30And then if you see, if you go right through Swift, went off the board at pick 40.
28:36Then you're into David Montgomery and Cam Scadaboo. If you draw a line right at 50, Quinshon Judkins, Bucky Irving, Basial Tootin.
28:42If you draw the line right there, that would be essentially the first five rounds of fantasy drafts, right?
28:48Or the first five and a half rounds, however you want to think about it.
28:53Depends if you're in a 10-team league or a 12-team league.
28:57So the first, around the top 50, right? If you say, you know, round down, you're pretty much going to go through Basial Tootin.
29:04And Basial Tootin was good again. He didn't score a lot of fantasy points, but Basial Tootin was an interesting process play this week.
29:12Again, it did not work out for Basial Tootin, but he did see a season-high snap share, 57%.
29:17I mean, his previous high snap share was less than 50%.
29:21So this is the first time he's been over 50% with his snaps.
29:25And he had like 70% of the carries. And I think his previous career high for carry share was something like 55%.
29:32So we're seeing continued increased usage, a continued commitment to increasing the opportunity share for Basial Tootin.
29:37It's just that in week four, like with most of these players we like, they didn't actually score fantasy points.
29:43And that's okay. Because again, the smart money saw that most of these games in week four were going to get dragged into the mud.
29:51So we know it. It was, it was identified as a trend for this week before anyone kicked off on Sunday.
29:58I was worried. Chuck was worried. We were worried.
30:01This is this, this week smells and we got it.
30:04We got the stinky week, the inexplicable week, the apocalyptic week.
30:07And there are also some, some performances where players dud it out, especially if they were Broncos players, that we've all seen
30:14this coming, Cortland Sutton, we know he's dust. This alpha profile turns 31, the big lumbering alpha profile wide receivers.
30:20They turn 31, they're dust. They catch one pass on six targets.
30:24That's the Cortland Sutton experience. J.K. Dobbins. J.K. Dobbins is the running back version of Chris Godwin.
30:30J.K. Dobbins was very efficient last year, right? He had like a 40 plus percent success rate on his runs.
30:36This year, it's down to like 25%. Okay. His fantasy points per snap is down from like 0.35 to 0.23.
30:42Like he is not the efficient player he was last year.
30:46The Broncos offensive line is not what it was.
30:48And I'm done, right? I am done. I am done playing anybody behind one of these bottom five offensive lines.
30:55And I could tell you a team that if they don't have a bottom five offensive line, it's pretty damn close to bottom five.
31:02It's got to be the Houston Texans because I understand that J.K.
31:06Dobbins and David Montgomery have had a number of lower body injuries.
31:10And we talked about the, we discussed at length, the Tara McLaurin corollary, whereas if you have a clean bill of health,
31:17you're explosive and you don't suffer a myriad of lower body injuries during your twenties, you can turn 30 and still be a sports car.
31:24J.K. Dobbins does not, does not have that luxury, right?
31:28It's been all lower body injuries, all career for J.K.
31:31Dobbins. And it's been all lower body injuries the last five years for Chris Godwin.
31:35So no one is surprised when these players are not efficient anymore.
31:39You can't be. Well, you can't be now that we have the Tara McLaurin corollary.
31:44I'm surprised about Chris Godwin. I thought I was expecting more from Chris Godwin.
31:48Now, if you were bullish on Chris Godwin, you can blame the quarterback situation.
31:53I'm not. I'm blaming myself for not ideating on the potential loss of athleticism and explosiveness due to lower body injuries that became the Tara McLaurin corollary.
32:01The Tara McLaurin corollary was not invented until week three of this season.
32:05So I ended up drafting some Godwin. The teams, according to Dan Fornick, our offensive line expert with the worst offensive lines,
32:1225 and below, like the bottom seven, the bottom eight, right?
32:16Texans, Panthers, Dolphins, Commanders, Browns, Chargers, Titans, Packers. What's wrong with the Chargers offensive line?
32:20I don't know. They have a lot of talent.
32:23They have a lot of draft capital invested. And they're incompetent.
32:27And it's hard to understand why. The Houston Texans cannot block anybody.
32:30So yes, David Montgomery is like J.K. Dobbins in that a lot of his explosiveness has been sapped over the years.
32:37And he's 29 years old. And he was a purgatory back.
32:40We had this argument. My argument with John Paulson about, is David Montgomery a purgatory back?
32:45Is he a dead zone back? I said, well, he can't be a bad.
32:50I can't. He can't be. He doesn't fit the definition of a dead zone back.
32:55He's being drafted inside the top 50. And this is a team that wants to be a running team.
33:01That's their identity, right? So I think this is a reckoning week for the Podfather.
33:05Where I'm getting wrecked. I want to be reckoned on bad advice in the summer.
33:10The errors of the summer. We're going to surface the errors of the summer.
33:14And surface the errors that happened pre-week four, right?
33:17Betting against all the Las Vegas firepower that was fading Packers Bucks.
33:21That was a mistake. Playing Bucky Irving on sport.fun.
33:24Mistake. Streaming Sky Moore in a deep dynasty league.
33:27In flex. Mistake. Drafting David Montgomery at all. Given the Houston Texans offensive line.
33:31Was a mistake. Just because a team says their identity is we run the ball.
33:36Doesn't mean they just run the ball. If the Packers say we want to run the ball.
33:41Doesn't mean they can run the ball. They can't run the ball.
33:45They have no way to open up any creases or crevices.
33:48To allow a running back. Any space. To get any positive yards.
33:52So then they have to throw. And throw they will.
33:55Oh, the Packers will continue to throw. If you can somehow get Matthew Golden or Christian Watson or Jordan Love now as a buy low, you do it.
34:04That was a blip. That was simply because they knew the Bucks had Jalen Daniels.
34:09And they were going to sit on a lead in the second half.
34:13They didn't have to throw. They didn't have to be prolific.
34:16They will have to be prolific in a bunch of other games against the Lions and Caleb Williams in these games in the future.
34:24Buy, buy, buy. Buy low on these Packers. But I'm not buying low on David Montgomery.
34:29Because this offensive line is giving him no room to operate.
34:32And even when they have a lead against the Cowboys, the offensive line does not allow them to run for first downs.
34:39And then they have to punt and the Cowboys can come back.
34:43That's the situation when you actually really want a good run blocking unit.
34:47It doesn't matter as much. You'd much prefer to have a great pass blocking unit than a run blocking unit if you had to choose.
34:55However, in the fourth quarter, if you have a lead, that's when you really want your team to build a run block.
35:02And the Texans can't. And if you have David Montgomery, it's a damn shame.
35:06Because David Montgomery has an all-purpose skill set. He is a touchdown machine on a team with an offensive line.
35:12No matter what the Texans are saying and what they want, it doesn't matter if they can't execute it.
35:18So that was my mistake of the summer thinking, well, we're going to draft based on identity.
35:24Texans want to be a running team. I'm going to, if Dave Montgomery slips to me, I'm going to draft him.
35:30I think he's a potential value pick in the fifth round.
35:34Look where he's going on underdog. He's going in the fourth round.
35:38I drafted him in the player profiler staff league.
35:40I was like, oh, why? Guys don't want David Montgomery?
35:44I remember bragging about it. Don't want David Montgomery.
35:46I'll take him. I'm going to draft him. Value trap.
35:49Dave Montgomery was a value trap. And Bucky Irving at his discounted salary was a value trap this week.
35:55Dave Montgomery was a value trap in redraft and seasonal leagues.
35:59And that's about as much podfather, blunder, post-mortem as we're ever going to get on this show.
36:04Because I don't like looking back. I like looking ahead.
36:07I like looking ahead. But sometimes we have to look back to look ahead.
36:12So what was one of the takeaways? Do you remember takeaway number five last week?
36:16Takeaway number five last week was Basial Tootin is officially the bell cow in Jacksonville.
36:21You have to get him now. This is a team that is going to what?
36:26Play with a lead. Everything we've learned, right? Everything we've learned about what matters, what scores fantasy points, where do they come from?
36:33Just in the last five minutes points us where?
36:36It points us to Basial Tootin. You have a team with a quarterback that can operate the offense competently at the very least.
36:43Now, the problem with Trevor Lawrence is their defense and their running game with Basial Tootin at the head of it is too good.
36:51So if you wanted to sell Trevor Lawrence in seasonal leagues, by all means, move on.
36:56Because this is a situation where they're going to be able to sit on a lead.
37:01They play the Titans, right? This is not good, right?
37:04There's going to be plenty more games where Trevor Lawrence just doesn't produce.
37:08You're thinking, oh, he's playing the Bengals. I'm starting him.
37:11And then they didn't necessarily need him. It was 13-3 at the half.
37:15You know what happens? 13-3. Their game plan is like, we've got to take the air out of the football in the second half.
37:23And that's what they did. The team ended up running the ball almost 30 times.
37:27Again, we talked about it. Basial Tootin had a huge share of the snaps and the carries.
37:3317 carries. But no touchdowns. Didn't get a lot of catches.
37:36Though he ran more routes this time than he's ever run.
37:40And yet only 10 fantasy points. And one of the reasons why was this was a road game.
37:45If they were at home, I'm sure Basial Tootin would have scored a few more points.
37:50But Tootin is still under the radar. He is still very attainable.
37:54So what we wanted of the Texans is what's happening now with the Jaguars.
37:59What I thought would play out with the Texans is this is a great defense.
38:03They're going to play defense. They're going to want to run the ball.
38:07They have David Montgomery. They're going to find their running game.
38:11They're going to architect a running game. How could they not at least architect a successful running game?
38:16They've been talking about it all offseason. That's all they care about doing to support their defense.
38:22I thought they would. And instead of going player by player across their offensive line depth chart and come to the conclusion
38:29it's not going to happen for David Montgomery. Jacksonville's offensive line is much better.
38:33And so Basial Tootin does have that crease to make a big play.
38:37And he has the speed where he gets through that crease.
38:41And suddenly it's a 20-yard run. It's a 40-yard touchdown.
38:44That is very much in his range of outcomes this year over and over and over again.
38:49We're going to see more of that. I'm all in on Tootin now.
38:53I've seen enough. Because week four was such a strict week.
38:57A guy like Tootin is actually still attainable. There's a bunch of guys that didn't score because random players scored.
39:03Michael Wilson's a buy low still. You can, well, buy low, buy high, wherever you think your league mate is on Michael Wilson, buy.
39:10Maybe your league mate was expecting more somehow. I think Michael Wilson's delivering at about what I expected.
39:16So I guess whatever that is, buy neutral. Michael Wilson's a buy neutral because he's getting all the opportunities.
39:22The opportunity share is huge. Target share for Michael Wilson, like 35% the last couple games.
39:27Marvin Harrison Jr. got the touchdown. Elijah Higgins got the touchdown.
39:31But not so for Michael Wilson because, again, we couldn't have nice things in week four.
39:36That's the theme. We weren't allowed to have nice things.
39:39We certainly made some errors and didn't help ourselves in some situations.
39:42But also, the team matchups were conspiring against us with strengths on strengths and weaknesses on weaknesses.
39:48And Vegas saw it. Saw it clear as day.
39:51Saw it better than I could see it. But thankfully, I don't need to have supercomputers running.
39:56I can just check the lines and be like, wait, these lines have all moved down.
40:01Four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten points. Oh, this game, this game, this game, this game, this entire slate.
40:07It's going to be a debacle. And it was.
40:10But I mean, I stand by Ollie Gordon over Jalen Wright.
40:14Feeling pretty good about that. Stand by Braylon Allen getting, oh, I don't know, 100% opportunity share.
40:19Even Kenyon Sadiq, right? Go back to the fab guidance.
40:22We said, get Kenyon Sadiq. Bid up Kenyon Sadiq.
40:2510 plus percent of your fab budget on Kenyon Sadiq.
40:28Why not? I'll spend more on Kenyon. We suggested spending more on Kenyon Sadiq than any wide receiver last week.
40:34And Kenyon Sadiq put up a zero. But he put up a zero with a higher snap share and a higher route participation rate.
40:42The underlying usage metrics on guys like Basial Tootin, guys like Kenyon Sadiq, Braylon Allen, Ollie Gordon, all good.
40:48All good. Especially, especially the one, the one metric, the one usage metric from week four.
40:53I was very encouraged by Ollie Gordon's route participation rate compared to Jalen Wright.
40:57It was 45 to 10. So Ollie Gordon is absolutely a buy high coming out of this week because it's not that high.
41:04The beauty is with a guy like Ollie Gordon is whoever has him thinks that they're hoodwinking you because, oh, I got
41:11lucky with a long run for a touchdown from Ollie Gordon.
41:15I'm going to sell high. I'm going to pump and dump.
41:18Go to the fantasy manager with Ollie Gordon and let them cash out on their pump and dump scheme thinking, oh, well,
41:25next week it's going to be Jalen Wright. No, no, no.
41:29Jalen Wright is not the receiver that Ollie Gordon is and certainly not a guy that you can run between the tackles like you can with Ollie Gordon.
41:37Ollie Gordon's a 2000 yard rusher. How they're still naming Jalen Wright the starter, I don't know.
41:43It's not my problem, right? It's just like with Houston.
41:46I don't know why they thought they could be a running team.
41:50That's not my problem. Offensive line's not good. So you stay away from David Montgomery.
41:54I mean, Badgen looked good. No fantasy points, right?
41:57He was more efficient than Jameis Winston, threw fewer picks than Jameis Winston, was in general, performed better as a backup quarterback than Jameis Winston.
42:05But Jameis Winston threw for three touchdowns. All the touchdowns in Chicago went to Monungay.
42:10When you look up and guys like Monungay are dominating DeAndre Swift and you see that trend repeating itself over and over
42:17and over again, go all the way back to Thursday Night Football.
42:20A problem I had with Thursday Night Football is I would have played Roman Wilson.
42:25And I'll show you a team. I'm going to put a team up on the screen soon.
42:30One of my Dynasty League teams in the Kings Classic.
42:34I played Cody. I'm going to show this team.
42:36I'll put it up there right now. Okay? I'll put it up there right now.
42:41So put this team up there. This is it.
42:44Okay? I'm starting Bryce Young, Kendra Miller, Emmanuel Wilson, Devon Vele, the aforementioned Sky Moore, Zay Flowers, Tyler Warren, Mike Gusecki, Arande Gadsden, Michael Penix.
42:52This is a bad team. This is an 0-3 team.
42:55But guess what? I won this week. I'm going to beat Cody.
42:59I haven't won yet. Okay? But I will win.
43:02Okay? I'm probably going to win. Actually, given how this week is gone, I probably won't win.
43:07I'm favored to win 68% to 32% based on win probability on Sleeper.
43:11That means nothing. Why? Week 4. Means nothing. I can't believe I just assumed.
43:15I'm like, this is a game I won. No, you haven't won yet?
43:19What are you talking about? You're far from winning.
43:22Think Vele and Kendra Miller are going to come through?
43:25Maybe. Maybe not. Think Michael Penix is going to come through?
43:29I hope so. He has Shuck. He has Shuck.
43:32Now, I do have Shuck in Monster Leagues. I played my daughter.
43:35And for the second week in a row, you play whatever opposing player on Monster Leagues you want to play.
43:42So you take your players, your team, and you match it up with whoever you want.
43:47The only catch is if you beat the player you're matched up against, you get to capture that player and they're on
43:54your team and you get to play them moving forward.
43:57They're on your roster. So you get to decide how aggressively do you want to try to capture players?
44:03And with Jalen Warren being the primary back with no Rico Dowdle, I'm thinking I can shoot high.
44:08I can aim high. I can go for Jeremiah Love last week.
44:12Got beat by one point. Less than a point.
44:15Fraction of a point. This week, I said, I'm going to capture Ashton Gentry, right?
44:20They'll be playing from behind against Kansas City. Well, they weren't playing from behind.
44:24That was the problem. Why? Week four. Because a lot of...
44:28Again, some blunders, but mostly... Who knew? And then, of course, I said, there was like a minute left and I said, I'm going to lose this.
44:36I'm not going to be able to capture Ashton Gentry.
44:39Watch it happen. Watch him overcome Jalen Warren. And sure enough, boom, he did.
44:44My daughter, on the other hand, picked up Malik Neighbors last week because she played against him last week in a genius-inspired move.
44:51Then decided to play Neighbors against Pickens this week.
44:54Captured Pickens. Then she played Wandale Robinson. No! Actually, what she did was...
44:58No, no! She did something even crazier. She played Neighbors against a Dunze to just get the win.
45:03So now she has a Dunze. Great. Caleb Williams about to come back.
45:07I'm like, that was a smart decision. Way to go capturing a Dunze.
45:12Then, with Wandale, she had him matched up against Pickens.
45:15I couldn't even get my head around it. I still can't.
45:18And how did you know to do that? She won't say.
45:22I want to share it with you guys. I was like, we have a duty, right?
45:27To tell the audience of Top 10 Takeaways. How did you know to do that?
45:31And she's like, well, the cornerback matchup with Houston was tough.
45:35And I thought this was more of a lamb week.
45:38I was like, what? No way! Stop it! Stop it!
45:41No. I mean, it's great logic. That was actually the logic of playing Dalton Kincaid, right?
45:46Dalton Kincaid. The logic was, well, Christian Gonzalez, right?
45:49Well, Christian Gonzalez was ruled out. And then I was like, oh yeah!
45:53This is just all the papers this week thrown into the air.
45:57Like, oh, I guess the logic behind Kincaid is now invalid.
46:00And then you're like, well, does that mean I don't play Kincaid?
46:04Because Kincaid's usage has been way up this year.
46:07And he's been one of the best fantasy tight ends.
46:10This is going to be a shootout. Look at the game total.
46:14Why wouldn't you just play Kincaid? So of course you're playing Kincaid.
46:17Still, regardless, Christian Gonzalez or not. It's just Christian Gonzalez playing would force more throws to the middle of the field.
46:24So it's understandable. Just like Stingley playing forces more passes to the middle of the field.
46:29I don't even know if Stingley played. Did Derek Stingley Jr.
46:33play? Did he play at all? I'm sure he did.
46:36I hope he did. Now I'm like questioning everything.
46:38I'm like, wait, did I miss that one? Did I miss that inactive?
46:43No, no. Of course. Why did Pickens not produce?
46:45She knew. She just knew. This girl, she has been trained well.
46:49I'm still not sure because I'm not 100% sure that the thought process is as sophisticated as she makes it sound.
46:56Because if it is, she's like the smartest 14-year-old in the history of fantasy football.
47:00So I'm like, I'm a little dubious of how you're doing this, but I'm getting beat in this game.
47:06Okay. I'll tell you right now, I was winning after this week.
47:10I'm now losing. It really is going to come down to shuck.
47:14The reason I even mentioned this is because Cody has shuck and I have shuck.
47:19So I have shuck against my daughter, but Cody has shuck against me in the Kings Classic.
47:24And if we were talking about this a couple of weeks ago, I'd be like, oh dude, I definitely want to get
47:31a W in the Kings Classic, even though I probably should be trying to tank.
47:36I'm not because I'm just wired to win and too bad.
47:39And it will help me in the long run.
47:42And I want to beat Cody and that's it.
47:45Now I'm like, I don't even care about what Cody does with shuck against me in the Kings Classic.
47:51I need to beat my daughter. This is getting out of hand.
47:54And now she's capturing all these great players and the rope is like just slipping through my hands.
48:00Oh, I captured a Buka this week. That was my big inspired.
48:04I was like, oh, well, a Buka. Everyone knew to bench a Buka.
48:08Okay. That was not like, that was not a super sophisticated under the radar expert play.
48:13Right. That's what she, she does. The expert plays.
48:16I'm doing these like chalk plays, like playing against a Buka, which of course it worked, but it's not like I'm going
48:23to come on here and brag about it because it was just the chalk move.
48:27Just like I, you know, I had a choice of Emmanuel Wilson or Ollie Gordon and it actually worked.
48:33I played Emmanuel Wilson because it was a home game and game script.
48:37And Ollie Gordon was going on the road to Minnesota.
48:41Nothing to do. You have to believe me. It had nothing to do with Jalen Wright.
48:46It was all about our typical process that we follow on this show and the plays of the week show and playing
48:53Emmanuel Wilson worked even over Ollie Gordon. And hopefully it results in a win against Cody, but because Pittsburgh was playing on
48:59Thursday night, I did not play Roman Wilson. I wanted to play Roman Wilson.
49:04I think Roman Wilson is actually the best receiver on the Steelers.
49:08I am looking every week for reasons to play Roman Wilson, but I also knew there were a bunch of wide receivers that were questionable.
49:15Some would be ruled out. And so I was like, I need to hold back because I might want to play Antonio Williams.
49:23I might want to play John Mechie. I might want to play one of these players.
49:28That's an actual wide receiver two instead of a wide receiver three, which technically Roman Wilson's a wide receiver three Brown's game is not supposed to shoot out.
49:37So I didn't feel like I was missing out a lot in keeping Roman Wilson on the bench, but it's just, it's
49:43part of the strategy that goes into these Thursday night games where if it is a fringe option, I will typically leave
49:50that guy on the bench just because I know a wide receiver will end that.
49:55I can play that. I can either pick up and play, or I have on my bench already.
50:01I can pick them up and stream them because there's an injury ahead of them in the depth chart.
50:07I have Laquan Treadwell on that team. I have Roman Wilson on that team.
50:11I have Demario Douglas on that team. I have Isaiah Williams on that team.
50:15I had a lot of options that produce 15 fantasy points.
50:19You know who didn't produce 15 fantasy points? Josh Downs, right?
50:22Again, that one, not our fault. In-game injuries. No, feeling fine.
50:26Josh Downs continues to be a buy low. Oh, the tight end position, man.
50:30Last week, if you played Darren Waller or you play Dalton Kincaid, don't feel bad.
50:35We were playing him. Darren Waller, I would do it again.
50:38I'm just telling you, tight ends, targets can consolidate.
50:41The moon and the stars can align. The game can shoot out.
50:45Where you can set your watch by a number one wide receiver like a Tett McMillan, you can never truly set your watch by any tight end.
50:53And that was part of the whole thesis of selling high on Travis Kelsey.
50:58Like Travis Kelsey is outperforming his target share and he is enjoying positive touchdown variants.
51:03You got to get out of Travis Kelsey. So certainly we're feeling good about some moves we made last week.
51:09It wasn't a complete debacle, especially Malik Neighbors. Calling the bottom of Malik Neighbors felt good.
51:14His route participation rate was up to 91%. Target share went up.
51:18Air yards went way up, right? Everything's been up from the beginning of the year.
51:22It's been climbing. If you combine week three and week four, it's interesting because he had the 29% target share week three, the 24% target share week four.
51:31So you saw as of week three and four, the target share was starting to get back up to the traditional Neighbors level target shares.
51:39But the air yards did not kick in until this week.
51:42We had five air yards last week, week three.
51:45This week, 113 air yards. And that's when you get the fantasy points.
51:49Ba-boom. And we're getting air yards from Xavier Worthy.
51:52Xavier Worthy, that was a spike week. We called the spike week on Xavier Worthy.
51:57And of all of our calls from last week that I feel good about is just going through, was this, did this come through or not?
52:05That's not interesting. What's interesting is to talk about how and why it may have come to fruition or not.
52:11Xavier Worthy technically did not have a spike week because on his 41-yard bomb, it was not a touchdown.
52:17The touchdown scored, the long touchdown on a 55-yard bomb was scored by Taequann Thornton.
52:22So if you combine Worthy and Thornton, it was a spike week.
52:26It was a massive spike week. It was like Tett McMillan level spike week.
52:30CeeDee Lamb level spike week. If you combine Thornton and Worthy, not quite Tett McMillan.
52:35Nothing could compare to Tett McMillan. But then you're starting to be like, okay, I can compete against Tett McMillan if I
52:42have Worthy and Thornton in one wide receiver spot.
52:45But that's not possible in fantasy. Okay. This was the rare case.
52:48What you saw from Xavier Worthy was the rare case where the number one wide receiver goes down.
52:54And because the next man up was actually a redundant player, it hurt Worthy.
52:58The fact that Rice got hurt meant more snaps and routes for Thornton.
53:02And then that's a second choice. Now a second choice is on the field for Patrick Mahomes and his huge arm to connect deep.
53:10I contend that if Rice never left the game, Worthy gets those bombs.
53:14Worthy does get the spike week. But the Rice injury inadvertently suppressed Worthy in week three, in week four.
53:20Does that track? Are you following me on this?
53:23Is that being followed? Does that even make sense?
53:26Let's bring our producer in. Justin, I'm going to bring you in.
53:29Did that make sense, Justin? Makes sense. Yeah, yeah.
53:32Worthy actually looked really good too. I love how surprised you were.
53:36We did talk about you joining the show at some point just because you're so good pre-show.
53:41I'm like, listen, man, we got to get you some more airtime.
53:45And so now you're here. But we didn't say when.
53:48Like it's not on the show sheet. I just like clicked a button, turned the camera on.
53:54Oh, there's Justin. And you're like, oh, what? Worthy?
53:56What are we talking about? So knowing that we were touting Worthy, yet we had the spike week alert on the plays of the week.
54:04Would you like what you saw from Worthy? I did.
54:07I liked the involvement. Mahomes seemed to look at him on third downs until, like you said, Rice was there.
54:14And then Thornton started being the number one deep target, number one big play target.
54:18And he made the plays, but then he had that ugly injury.
54:22So it's probably going to be Worthy again. We're going back to Worthy.
54:26We're going back to Worthy. There was an, what was the ugly injury?
54:30Thornton, his ankle is looking the opposite way. He made a big play on the left-hand side.
54:36You could see the, how it didn't even, he didn't even feel it.
54:40But he stood up, like he was so excited to make a play and immediately fell back down.
54:45It was, it was an ugly one. It was, it was turned the opposite way.
54:50It was, it was a bad one. I didn't know that.
54:54Yeah. I didn't know about that injury. Apologies. I should have led with that.
54:58The empathy. Apologize. There's just a lot of injuries in the NFL.
55:02It's not good, man. It is not good. So, okay.
55:05Worthy continues to be a potential smash. Nothing's changed.
55:08Okay. Okay. Now another, another, I guess we went with sell high, buy high, sell low, sell high, sell high was Kelsey.
55:15A buy high has to be Purdy. I think about quarterbacks.
55:18I want people trying to, I'm moving on from Trevor Lawrence.
55:22I know we have people that are saying, Hey, we're moving on from Trevor Lawrence.
55:26Is that fine? And I'm thinking, yes, it is fine because this is a team that's going to be relying on their defense.
55:33They're going to be able to sit back. They're not going to be incentivized to throw.
55:39They clearly have a running game with Tootin in this offensive line that's working.
55:43So there's gonna be plenty of games where you just don't get much from Trevor Lawrence.
55:48This is a team I think where you want to play Parker Washington, play Brenton strange in spots.
55:54We said this was the get right week for Brenton strange.
55:57I always say it's so funny. We focus on the negative.
56:00I'm like, Oh, it didn't work out with Darren Waller.
56:04Oh, right. Uh, Christian Gonzalez actually is out. So the, the, the thesis around Kincaid has fallen apart, but actually the other
56:11tight end we talked about did that did hit one out of three is, is all you can hope for a tight end most weeks.
56:18And the buy high continues to be after what we saw this past week on Brock Purdy, right?
56:24I mean, we're talking about a 0.6 EPA per play for the first three weeks, which was number one among quarterbacks the last decade.
56:32Talked about that last week. And then what did he do this past week?
56:36Just an efficient 19 for 32 touchdowns, no turnovers.
56:39He is one of the most efficient quarterbacks of the decade, but you can actually get him.
56:44You can actually, you can actually get him in fantasy because he was the last pick and you know, he's just, he's
56:51not yet perceived as the elite talent that he truly is.
56:54Would you agree with that? Yeah. Uh, I mean, Mike Shanahan or Kyle Shanahan, excuse me, Bronco fan, uh, Kyle Shanahan hand
57:01picked this guy, you know, even though he drafted the Trey land super high, wasted all the capital he saw with this guy doesn't practice.
57:09Like you said, he's just efficient. He gets the ball out on time.
57:13He runs the offense the way it's supposed to be run and he just keeps getting better.
57:19I, you know, I don't see why he isn't, uh, and I'm in the MVP, uh, conversation this year.
57:25He should be. I think he will be like, yeah, I think he will be.
57:29You need to get him now. You need to get him coming off the back of an uninspired fantasy performance.
57:36That was actually quite good in, in real football terms.
57:39I think that's the perfect time to buy a player.
57:42Uh, we, all you're seeing is, is, is good things, good signs, good signals, but the fantasy gamer in the box score
57:49is like, ah, I wish I would've got more from Purdy.
57:52It's funny. My daughter captured Purdy this week. So she played, she played Bryce young against Purdy and captured Purdy.
57:59So all she's doing is like stacking players that I can't compete with.
58:03Like I have Jordan Addison. I have Brian Thomas.
58:05I've captured a Mecca Egbuka. She's rolling out pickings.
58:08She's rolling out neighbors. Purdy. I can't compete with this girl, man.
58:12I'm getting dominated. Pod daughter is dominating me. It's in the blood.
58:16There's some, I don't, I'm very proud. It's tough when you're getting beat, but at the same time, there's a little bit of pride there.
58:24So it's a very cool experience. I've got some clips you want to show coming up, some wide receiver clips.
58:30So I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to go back to the, uh, the solo show.
58:37Justin's great. Love having a producer to jump in and, and, and, uh, and, and, and, and talk, talk, football.
58:43I can't believe how long the show is going.
58:46The show is just going on and on and on and on.
58:49There's no stop. We're not, we're not even close to being done because we're buying low on Carnell Tate.
58:55We're also buying low on Carnell Tate. Uh, I, if it's even low though, I mean, how many fantasy gamers are ignoring targets?
59:03He's not getting any touchdowns. I only say it's by low because it should be so much better.
59:08There should be so many more fantasy points for Carnell Tate.
59:12He's unbenchable. Okay. He's got a 30% target share.
59:15That's Malik neighbors, Drake, London, Puka Nakua level that those are the only rookie receivers that have ever posted a 30% target share.
59:22That's the kind of class that he's in. That's the company he's keeping, but he's not getting touchdowns.
59:27So he doesn't have these spike weeks that are making fantasy gamers drool salivate.
59:32So he's gettable. He's still very gettable. He's not a buy high.
59:36He's not about, he's very much like Michael Wilson.
59:38Michael Wilson actually has a 35% target share in the last couple of weeks and he's getting red zone looks just couldn't
59:45quite convert in the red zone, but he will be.
59:48So Michael Wilson and Carnell Tate, these are by neutrals.
59:52These are by neutral players. Absolutely. That is like takeaway seven or eight.
59:56I don't know. I do want to talk about Darius Cooper.
59:59I want to talk about Efton Chisholm. Takeaway nine is wide receivers are much better than they were 10 years ago.
60:06It's now commonplace for wide receivers to make one hand catches.
60:09I mean, it's pretty unbelievable. If you watch Darius Cooper, if you watch Efton Chisholm, we need to play these clips.
60:16I mean, they are ready to go. We got a clip ready here.
60:20So we're going to play it. And you just got to see this to believe it.
60:25I mean, it's unbelievable. It really, to see it to believe is unbelievable.
60:29So we'll play it. And then he comes over the top and then somehow Moss is the guy.
60:35I have a bunch of Darius Cooper. I have him in that King's Classic roster.
60:39If I was scrolling down, if I had scrolled down past Roman Wilson, you would have seen Darius Cooper.
60:45But I didn't play Darius Cooper because Darius Cooper was technically the wide receiver three.
60:50And that game total was one of those game totals that had come down.
60:54So my rule of thumb, when I'm streaming one of these random wide receivers into these deep dynasty rosters, the third or
61:01fourth or fifth flex spot, I'm picking the player, regardless of their talent profile, that is highest in the target pecking order with the highest game total.
61:10Right. And that's why it was like, at first I was thinking Jordan Watkins is interesting because there's a high game total there.
61:17He's now moving into that wide receiver three role.
61:20We talked about him in the plays of the week, but by the time Sunday rolls around, we had Antonio Williams, Laquan Treadwell.
61:27We had all these players. They're actually moving into the wide receiver two spot.
61:31The difference with Cooper, the reason why Cooper was, is more of a dynasty stash and wasn't necessarily an obvious play this past week.
61:39Of course he wasn't. Is that the team loves him just based on the Parker Washington corollary.
61:44I suggest adding Darius Cooper everywhere. Are you going to be adding him aggressively in the waiver wire?
61:50No. The guy to aggressively add on the waiver wire this week is Emmanuel Wilson, because it's a week to week sport.
61:57And the best thing you can do is get a primary back on a team with a great offensive line.
62:03That's going to be enjoying a lot of positive game script.
62:07That is Seattle. Okay. And I, and the reason why you can get Emmanuel Wilson and he's not even that expensive is because look at Zach Charbonnet's leg.
62:15Most people are like, Oh, Zach Charbonnet back soon.
62:18Zach Charbonnet is back soon. Janarian price only out for four weeks.
62:22What are we really getting from a, you know, Emmanuel Wilson's going to give us a few weeks of production.
62:28Okay. Well, you bet you should have picked him up on Saturday and Sunday.
62:33Even if you didn't just like with Braylon Allen, I say bid a lot.
62:37Like if just get out ahead of the fab guidance, we're going to drop on Patreon, patreon.com slash podfather.
62:43You're going to want Emmanuel Wilson. He is going to be the key to victory for some teams in the next few weeks.
62:50He already has been, he already was in week four, but he's going to do it again and do it again because
62:57this is the time he's going to outproduce David Montgomery.
63:00Don't buy low on David Montgomery. You want to buy high on Emmanuel Wilson because look at that leg.
63:06Look at Zach Charbonnet's leg. Though I thank you, Justin, our, Justin, our producer mentioned that Joe Mixon is working out.
63:13Joe Mixon is dust. I don't care about Joe Mixon.
63:16I'm not getting fooled into underbidding on players. I know are going to be primary backs in great situations.
63:22I'm not going to get fooled. This, there is a significant difference in the size of the leg.
63:28Look at the thigh of Zach Charbonnet on the right versus his thigh on the left.
63:33His quad is half the size. The quad on a surgically repaired leg is half the size because his muscles have atrophied.
63:40It's going to take many weeks for him to build that back up.
63:44And in that amount of time, Emmanuel Wilson is going to be playing the primary back role in helping you win fantasy matchups by scoring touchdowns.
63:52And sometimes he's going to catch some balls out of the backfield on random occasions and score like he did last week on a reception.
64:00But that's how you play fantasy football. You go out and you put it, you put your, your bids down and you
64:07go get a Braylon Allen for two, three, four weeks.
64:10You go get Emmanuel Wilson for two, three, four weeks and you piece it together and you make the playoffs and you make a run.
64:18That's how you play. You don't waste it on wide receivers.
64:21You don't waste those fab bids on players in doom situations like Caleb Johnson.
64:25It's a doom situation with that offensive line in Green Bay.
64:29That's why we weren't. We would have been super in on Caleb Johnson if Green Bay had a better offensive line, but they don't.
64:36So we weren't. But it's just, it's super cool to see how good these players are.
64:41I mean, it really is unbelievable, right? Look at Efton Chisholm.
64:45I mean, Efton Chisholm is a backup to a backup to a backup.
64:49And you look at what he's doing, making these one hand catches, getting his coach fired up.
64:54It's a pleasure to watch. And we did not have this level of talent in the league.
65:00The Patriots could not just roll out their number five wide receiver and have him make spectacular one hand catches a la
65:07Edelman in the Super Bowl that you just wouldn't see that.
65:10I mean, this was, this was a feel good video that I saw where you have Efton Chisholm getting congratulated.
65:16Look at that. I would want to play for that right there.
65:20That's all I need to see. I want to play for Mike Vrabel just based on that.
65:25I felt so good for it for Chisholm. Felt good for the Patriots to win this game, even though Romeo Dobbs, man.
65:32Romeo Dobbs. Again, how smart and how good at this is my daughter?
65:36When she saw Romeo Dobbs score a touchdown, she was both happy and sad at the same time.
65:42And I was like, why are you, why are you conflicted?
65:45She's like, dad, I'm conflicted about this because I don't want people thinking Romeo Dobbs is good.
65:51And I was like, well, that's a, the right perspective.
65:54I agree with that. And then he does this, right?
65:57He does this in that game as well. I think this might've happened before or after.
66:02I don't know. It might, I think this happened after the touchdown or he scored two touchdowns.
66:07Maybe this happened between the two touchdowns. I don't remember the timeline of events, probably between the two touchdowns.
66:13He, he, he, uh, he caused an interception that, uh, boggles the mind.
66:17So there were some mind boggling catches and interceptions in this one game and in the NFL in week four, that's a
66:24Romeo Dobbs special where he somehow makes the catch and then flicks the ball up in the air as he's rolling over untouched.
66:32And then it becomes interception. I mean, that was just so Dobbs right there.
66:36And yet what does he do? Has it, hasn't he, he puts up a nice fantasy performance because you follow the targets.
66:43He's still playable, startable in fantasy. Why? Because he's the number one in a high point total game.
66:49It's supposed to be a shootout and he's the number one receiver.
66:52So you have to play him. I hate it, but you have to play him just like you're considering.
66:58Maybe I play Laquan Treadwell. Maybe I played John Mechie.
67:01Why? Because they are operating as wide receiver twos, starting receivers in games that are supposed to shoot out.
67:07You can't worry about the talent profile of the wide receiver at that point.
67:12You just can't. You can't. If you chase a guy like Darius Cooper, because you know, the team loves him and he's
67:19capable of these kinds of big plays and he's been touted wildly throughout training camp, you're probably going to end up with
67:26fewer fantasy points at the end of the year.
67:28If you keep playing wide receiver threes and wide receiver fours, just hoping that they get an opportunity as opposed to the
67:35guys, you know, are going to be running the routes.
67:38You know, we're going to get targets. It might be eight fantasy points, but they might score a touchdown.
67:44That is the way to go. So I don't want to chase Darius Cooper, though.
67:49I love him. I didn't play him at all this week.
67:53I don't feel bad about not playing him, but you can love.
67:56That's why we have dynasty teams and we have seasonal league teams so we can pick up players and play them in
68:03seasonal leagues and a dynasty as well. But also if we're not ready to play them, if they're still technically the wide
68:10receiver three, but we know there's a lot of positive buzz.
68:14We know there's talent 40% dominator rating at Tarrington state.
68:17Darius Cooper is a good player. He's a good football player.
68:20We know this. The Eagles know this. But playing a wide receiver three in a low point total game is not good
68:27process no matter what, no matter how good that player is.
68:31So you pick them up. You stash them in dynasty and you reap the rewards.
68:35That's the way to that's the way you capitalize.
68:38Right. Just like when teams are playing the jets, you play those running backs.
68:43Right. If you play DeAndre Swift, don't feel bad.
68:45Right. Week four was a debacle. DeAndre Swift was a great process play.
68:49Just all the production went to modern guy. This coming week, you're playing Quinshawn Judkins.
68:54Doesn't matter. It's the Browns. It's the jets. You play Judkins.
68:58And I'm running it back with Braylon Allen as well because he had 100% opportunity share.
69:03So running it back with Emmanuel Wilson, whether he signed Joe Mixon or not.
69:07Mike McDaniel is going to be fired. At some point, a Marion Hampton is going to erupt.
69:12He got the touchdown this week. So now you might see a manager thinking, well, actually, I'm going to sell high.
69:19This is a little mini sell window. You should approach the Marion Hampton dynasty owner because they might view week four as
69:26a mini sell window when you're not trying to pick up a Marion Hampton for next week.
69:31You know, this offensive line, this coaching staff is a debacle just like week four was the debacle week.
69:37But you want a Marion Hampton for his career.
69:40He is going to be awesome. He is a total all-purpose stud being dragged down by circumstance.
69:45And this might be a little, you might convince the fantasy manager who has him to sell now on the back of
69:52this touchdown, but there's no better buy low right now.
69:55I mean, Hampton's a buy low in dynasty in a very specific search circumstance.
70:00Where the manager that has him is a win now manager.
70:03You could potentially pry a Marion Hampton away from that manager.
70:07I would use this as an opportunity to do that, that touchdown he scored in week four.
70:12But the buy low of all across the board in every format right now is Colston Loveland.
70:17Nine more targets in week four, still no touchdowns, even though he's getting red zone targets in every game just hasn't actually scored a touchdown.
70:25As soon as he scores a touchdown, everyone's going to wake up.
70:29But for now, you got to get him. From here moving forward, he will be the second most productive tight end in all of fantasy after Brock Bowers.
70:38And the final thing I want to say before we wrap up today is thank you to Drake May.
70:44It was a huge relief. We talked about it on the Starter Stream show at length, how there was so much at
70:51stake for a couple of these teams. Number one being the Patriots.
70:54That if they got embarrassed by the Bills, their season was over.
70:58Drake May rose up and showed why he has a Josh Allen comp on playerprofiler.com.
71:03There have been whispers at playerprofiler that maybe, maybe Drake May would lose his Josh Allen comp.
71:08And he rose up and he said, no. He said, I know receivers matter and I don't have any.
71:14And that's okay. They both did. You know what?
71:17He and Josh Allen both did. They said, you know what?
71:20DJ Moore's out. We're going to feed Keon Coleman.
71:23We're going to be competitive in this game with Keon Coleman in the back of the end zone.
71:29Why? Because Josh Allen's elite. And then Drake May says, I see your Keon Coleman and I'll do you one better.
71:36I have Romeo Dobbs. We're going to make him a top fantasy producer this week.
71:40Both Romeo Dobbs and Keon Coleman posted exactly 23 fantasy points in week four.
71:45And if that is not the perfect illustration of one of those weeks, I don't know what is.
71:50It would have been great for Wilson. It would have been great for Wilson.
71:55Wilson. There's a lot of Wilson to talk about today, but not necessarily in that game.
72:00It would have been great for Watson. Great for golden.
72:03Guess if you could buy in golden and Watson, you get Wilson.
72:07That's probably where that came from. Anyway, that's what we talked about with Chuck on the, on the place, on the top
72:1410 takeaways on the, on the starter stream show doing too many shows.
72:18Can't keep them all straight. I probably talked about it all.
72:21We coined the term. We talked about it on every show.
72:24We coined the term on the starter stream show.
72:27It's a past fire hose. I think I'm going to lose this particular performance on the other brother's allerdings.
72:33I always say in the serenearnya, you know where we're on bone tackle.
72:37Thank you.
