A.J. Brown

NegativeInjury45:51

AJ Brown suffered a knee and ankle injury that will sideline him for four to six weeks, which has negatively impacted the development and performance of Drake Maye in the Patriots' offense.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveBreakout25:05

The source is high on Antonio Williams, viewing him as the future leader of the team's offense alongside JD. Despite a recent value bump, the source believes he is showing glimpses of greatness and remains a strong hold or target in dynasty leagues.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeDepth Chart16:32

The source expresses skepticism about a potential trade for Brian Thomas Jr. to the 49ers, citing his inability or unwillingness to block in the run game. Kyle Shanahan's system requires wide receivers to block, and the source warns that Thomas Jr. could end up in the 'dog house' or on the 'garbage heap' if he does not adapt to these schematic requirements.

Insight page
NegativeRole21:38

The source notes that Brian Thomas Jr. lost his momentum after a poor performance in a loss where he was outperformed by Travis Hunter. Following an injury, Parker Washington took over his role, and the team has been rolling since, making Thomas Jr. a player that many 'bag holders' are struggling to move on from.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveProjection8:16

The source views Brock Purdy as significantly underrated, noting he is having the best season of his career. With MVP-level production and a high touchdown rate, Purdy is considered a high-end fantasy asset, though the source still slightly prefers Joe Burrow in a straight-up dynasty trade.

Insight page
PositiveProjection42:24

The source asserts that the debate over Brock Purdy's success is over, noting that his production is 'night and day' compared to other young quarterbacks. The source suggests that anyone still doubting Purdy is simply 'hating'.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveProjection43:02

The source notes that Bryce Young is looking 'really good' recently, contrasting his current performance with the earlier doubts about whether he could even remain a starter in the NFL.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeValue39:16

The source prefers Caleb Williams over Drake Maye in a one-for-one trade scenario, indicating that while they wouldn't sell Maye for pennies, they would gladly swap him for Williams if the opportunity arose.

Insight page

Cam Ward

NegativeProjection3:21

Despite recent struggles and poor fundamentals, the source advises patience with Cam Ward, citing his 15-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio over his last 15 games and the institutional failures of the Titans franchise.

Insight page

Case Keenum

PositiveRole13:00

The source argues that the Bears should continue starting Case Keenum over Tyson Bagent. Keenum is praised for his professional demeanor, mental control, and ability to perform under pressure, as evidenced by his recent outing against the Eagles. The source believes Keenum gives the team the best chance to reach the playoffs.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveUsage63:04

Chris Olave is expected to benefit significantly from the Saints' offensive scheme, particularly with the upcoming return of Jordan Tyson, which should create more single-coverage opportunities.

Insight page
PositiveProjection85:52

Chris Olave is viewed as a cornerstone dynasty asset, with the source projecting him for at least 150 targets and placing him in the same elite echelon as Drake London.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveValue23:29

The source strongly advocates for Chuba Hubbard, noting that the Panthers organization clearly believes in him despite repeated attempts to replace him with players like Rico Dattle or Jonathan Brooks. Hubbard remains a solid, reliable asset who contributes in both the run and pass game, making him a buy in dynasty formats.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

PositiveValue29:19

Despite a slow start and injury, the source is actively trying to buy De'Von Achane. The source believes the Dolphins' offense will improve as the season progresses and maintains that Achane is a stud running back who can do everything.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveProjection27:21

The source highlights Drake London's massive production when Michael Penix is at quarterback, citing 143 targets, 91 receptions, 1356 yards, and 8 touchdowns over 13 games. The source compares his potential to a 'Brandon Marshall-Jay Cutler' type connection, making him a cornerstone stud wide receiver.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveValue37:07

The source views the current struggles of Drake Maye as a massive buying opportunity. While acknowledging he is not playing well, the source attributes this to a difficult schedule and poor offensive structure, insisting that selling him now would be a mistake.

Insight page
PositiveValue45:04

Despite a rough patch and recent struggles, Drake Maye remains a buy-low candidate. The source argues his current struggles are circumstantial, citing the injury to AJ Brown and a poor offensive scheme under Mike Vrabel. He should not be moved lower than Lamar Jackson in dynasty rankings.

Insight page
NegativeRole64:53

The source suggests Drake Maye is experiencing growing pains due to a rigid offensive system and a lack of a reliable slot receiver like Stefon Diggs, contrasting his situation with more favorable coaching environments.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveValue80:33

The source considers Garrett Wilson a stud and a 'buy' in dynasty, refusing to trade him for Rome Odunze and a second-round pick, noting he has always been a high-end asset.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

PositiveValue11:55

Despite the emergence of Brock Purdy, the source maintains that Joe Burrow remains the preferred asset in dynasty leagues. The reasoning is based on environment and volume, noting that Burrow's passing volume is elite and he remains a superior long-term upgrade over Purdy, even if the Bengals' current performance is underwhelming.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveUsage56:36

Josh Downs is seeing a significant target share, recording nine and 11 targets in his last two games, making him a strong hold in dynasty formats.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveProjection66:00

The source briefly highlights Juwan Johnson as an awesome and fantastic fantasy asset.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveUsage31:13

The source defends Malik Willis, arguing that the Dolphins' offense was artificially handicapped by coaching decisions that prevented him from running. The source believes Willis has looked decent considering the circumstances and expects his usage to improve, making him a buy-low candidate.

Insight page

Mitchell Trubisky

NegativeDepth Chart71:18

The source strongly advises against benching Cam Ward for Mitchell Trubisky, implying that such a move would be a fireable offense for the organization.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBreakout84:44

Parker Washington is noted as having jumped 22 spots in the source's dynasty rankings, representing a significant rise in value.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

PositiveBreakout56:36

The source views Rome Odunze as a high-value dynasty asset and advises against trading him for Josh Downs, expecting the Chicago offense to eventually prioritize him as a primary target.

Insight page
NegativeValue81:08

While the source believes in Rome Odunze's talent, they note that the current Bears offensive situation is weird and that he is currently less valuable than Garrett Wilson.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

NegativeProjection37:16

The source expresses concern over Trevor Lawrence's play, noting that he and Drake Maye seem to be playing 'two different sports' and that Lawrence's recent performance has been disappointing despite his high draft pedigree.

Insight page
PositiveUsage43:52

Trevor Lawrence is showing significant confidence and skill in the red zone, throwing with high velocity before receivers break. Despite occasional boneheaded plays, his performance is trending upward due to the coaching staff's influence.

Insight page

Tyson Bagent

NegativeRole10:51

While the source acknowledges Tyson Bagent's potential and the team's desire to see what he can do, they suggest he should remain the backup for now. The source notes that while Bagent's feelings might be hurt by not starting, the team's priority should be winning games with the veteran Keenum.

0:00All right, hold on. We're live. Here we go!
0:03First time in a while, we're back. How you doing?
0:06Is this thing on? We're on. We've done several different shows, but this is the first time that we've done this show in about a month.
0:14So I just got to remember what to do with my hands.
0:18You know, I got to remember what to do when a Dynasty asset isn't performing.
0:23the way you want them to. That's a good point.
0:26That's what we're going to talk about over and underperforming here is talk about some Dynasty rankings as we go through.
0:33Feel free to shoot some questions our way if you'd like.
0:36But it's been a while. We had a lot of stuff going on in September between the three of us and just
0:44it was just going to be difficult to make it work.
0:47But we should be back rolling on Wednesdays now live for the foreseeable future.
0:51So appreciate all of you who joined us. Join us.
0:55Rejoin us back. James, good to see you. What is good?
0:58I just went to a little festival with the wife, a music festival in Louisville.
1:03We went to Bourbon and beyond. It was a lot of fun.
1:07Did our 10th anniversary there and had a blast.
1:10So that's why I wasn't here last week. And Big Co filled in with Stan and Chev's been manning his redraft tower over there.
1:17Everybody's been doing good shit. So it's been a fun, fun start to the season.
1:22But that was a lot of fun. I've almost never missed football season, but we were going to go sit on a
1:29beach and my wife was like, I've never been to a music festival.
1:33I've been to a bunch, but she was like, I've never been.
1:37I'd rather do this. We can sit on a beach whenever.
1:41Like, what if you lose a leg tomorrow? You know, you lose a leg tomorrow.
1:46A lot harder to walk. We're walking like 18,000 steps a day at the music festival, you know?
1:51So that was a lot of fun. Louisville was awesome.
1:55I've never been there before. That was, that was a cool spot.
1:58Oh, that's different. Enjoyed, enjoyed the area. And like I said, in the last show, we can, we could gamble, but anyhow, enough drumming on big co.
2:07We'll join the show here. We'll get, we'll get in full swing.
2:11But we have gone over 1 million swipes here.
2:14So that's pretty cool. We did it. 1 million over there.
2:17Appreciate everybody who's chipped in for that. And, you know, just to reassure, you know, this is this website is basically manned
2:24by two people and built by two people. And everything we do around here, nobody's full time.
2:30Everybody's part time. So we're really still trying to dial this thing in, trying to figure things out.
2:35We figure we'll kind of roll through this season and then almost have like a relaunch into, into the off season.
2:42And we're really excited where a lot of things are, but we're constantly maintaining and figuring this thing out and fixing things and remaking things and recreating tools.
2:51So appreciate everybody who's used it. Everybody who's threw some hard on bucks at it.
2:56That's been awesome to just go ahead and continue to make this thing as good as we can.
3:02But 1 million swipes is really cool. We basically like dropped this in late April, early May.
3:07And to have that many swipes on here is, you know, means that y'all boys have been getting after it.
3:14So that's, that's really cool. And this is something that we want to be a big part of the dynasty space as
3:21we move forward of just a different way to get crowdsource rankings.
3:24And we are super duper close and having, we've actually all kind of used it in the background.
3:30But we do have customizable swipes. So after you do your 500 swipes, you'll get personal rankings unlocked.
3:36And after those personal rankings are unlocked, you can go then and customize the personal rankings.
3:41So basically just making it a lot easier to have your own set of rankings in the dynasty world, which is, you know, we do it for y'all.
3:50And it's a bear, man. It's a bear to deal with, to even just come up with the first list and then to maintain each, each month.
3:59But this would be a great way for the community to do that.
4:03And it will also all count for the crowdsource stuff, which, you know, again, keep trade cut has been a reliable resource
4:10for a lot of people, but we're trying to get up in them guts for keep trade cut.
4:16And, you know, just, just be another reliable asset for community rankings over here.
4:20So anyway, we're going to talk about some dynasty rankings.
4:23I'm sure we'll get into a bunch of other stuff today.
4:27We'll probably keep it a little shorter than usual since we're just hopping back into it.
4:32But I appreciate, you know, everybody who's listened to the show over the years, done anything that's contributed to the FF dynasty.
4:39We very much appreciate you. And again, there isn't anybody on this staff that does this full time.
4:45And so the fact that we compete with, you know, pod views and listens and stuff with some of the big dogs
4:52is, is really special to us and certainly not lost on it.
4:56So after a long soliloquy of starting the live shows again, we'll get to the chit chat.
5:01But again, wanted to just thank everybody for everything that we do.
5:05Thank, you know, Chev works his butt off for us for not a lot of money.
5:10Big Co basically works for free. Jason is the video editor and the website guy, Grayson, website guy.
5:16We've got Stan, new guy. We've Jeremiah's joined the team.
5:19We've got a couple of guys in the background.
5:22Doug, big D doing Patreon with me, holding it down.
5:25So shout out to all the guys. Shout out to all the guys and girls who listen and participate.
5:31Shout out to the discord people. Appreciate all you guys.
5:34Big Co, you ready to get in here? You need a minute still.
5:38I'm good. All right. Let's go. He's good to go.
5:42So million swipes again, not lost on us. How cool that is.
5:45We're coming for that ass. Keep trade cut. So appreciate you guys.
5:49Anything you guys want to talk about to start this bad boy off here?
5:54And or I got some ranking questions that we certainly can get into here in a while while we go into basically week four.
6:01I think that's a good time to kind of check in on some things.
6:06We got to basically like a marking period done here.
6:09Um, so we can kind of review some stuff, look around, see what we see what we believe.
6:15So if we don't believe you or buy and see what we're selling any, any, any questions, comments, concerns before we get started here?
6:23Um, I just want it noted in the minutes that we are in the minutes.
6:27We are officially putting Zach Robinson. Uh, we are, we are putting Zach Robinson on the Alcocha watch list.
6:33Uh, we're promoting, we're promoting, uh, Matt Nagy to full on, uh, Jihad general.
6:38Of Alcocha. All right. And, uh, there's, there's more to come.
6:41Mike, Mike McDaniel has now entered the chat as a suspected member of Alcocha as well.
6:47So, yeah, I mean, we've got, we've, we've certainly got some things that didn't, um, work out that like the way that
6:54we think we did or think we thought they would.
6:57And, uh, so that's been certainly a bummer. Uh, I got a couple of discord questions from the, uh, $7 holler crew, 50, 50, Tony.
7:05He said he got an offer straight up. He's got Caleb, uh, Jordan love and Stafford.
7:10It's one QB. And then he has got an offer to trade Joe burrow for Brock purdy.
7:15Whoa. Joe, wait, huh? Joe burrow for Benjamin. We see him.
7:19We see him. Appreciate it. Yeah, we could see you.
7:22Um, so he was basically straight up in one quarterback.
7:25He's trying to, he has Caleb and Jordan love and Stafford.
7:29So he's got three quarterbacks. He must have Joe burrow as well.
7:33Would you trade purdy for burrow right now? If I could.
7:36Yeah. So big co, how are you feeling? So you, you're a big block Tavius guy.
7:41Obviously I'm a Niners guy, but, but you would upgrade.
7:44You think burrow is still the upgrade. I, yes.
7:47Okay. Just because, okay. We have to look at it from a, from an environment perspective.
7:52Like we're going to be, it's going to be absolutely ridiculous.
7:56If ball, a Brock party throws a ball like 520 times.
7:59Joe burrow throws a ball 520 times by like week 12.
8:03Like, it's just, it's just, you've got, you got T you got.
8:07Now I do believe that this is going to be, this is, and it's playing out this way that it's going to
8:14be, this is going to be the best season of Brock party's career by far in a way.
8:20Like I've got MVP bets for him. I've got him leading the league in touchdown passes.
8:25Like that's sticky. He's going to, if he's, if he's healthy and he's playing, he's going to throw a lot of touchdowns.
8:32That's just, he's been about 7% touchdown rate twice going on three times, once twice.
8:37And then once he was 6.98. So there's, he's ridiculously underrated, but he's playing so well now that like the whole underrated
8:44thing is kind of, we're sweeping that away and you're just saying like, Hey man, uh, this dude is just really, really, really good.
8:51Like, I don't, I don't know, but at the same time, like I can't, it's closer than it's ever been, but it's
8:58still going to be Joe burrow for me. Big co.
9:02Yeah. I mean, Brock Purdy just, you know, just showed us he's a samurai, right?
9:06Um, he really is. And with what weapons, obviously he's got Kyle Shanahan on the sidelines, but he's got a old tight end.
9:14It just got his ankle tape back together and an old running back who's hanging on for dear life, but they're out there just being ridiculous.
9:22They can't even keep a healthy wide receiver. I don't even want to say what, how much I miss dribbling already.
9:29Um, but you think like, what would Joe burrow be doing?
9:32If he was playing for Kyle Shanahan, you college Joe burrow has got Higgins and chase and he can't, he's not putting
9:39up these kinds of numbers right now. If, because he has Caleb Williams, who's obviously hurt for a few weeks, thank God,
9:46not the whole season, but he has Stafford. I would probably hang on to Joe burrow and wait for better days, but
9:53it one quarterback league you got Caleb Williams. You're already winning.
9:57Right. And if you can add Brock Purdy to the stable and hang on and place that Matt Stafford until he's too old to play anymore.
10:05I can't, I can't, I can't hate on if you make, if you make the move, I mean, it's not going to shock anybody.
10:13If Joe burrow goes onto some massive streak and just starts tearing it up, but at the same time it's the Bengals.
10:20Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's, it's, it's, it's hard to steer away from what's happening with, with Brock.
10:26But yeah, I think still slightly burrow for me right now.
10:29Um, but yeah. All right. I got another question here from the disc board here.
10:34Um, actually it's not really a question, but it was, this is right after the bears game on Monday night.
10:40Should the bears ride Keenum? Um, or just a solid vet outing, or do you think they go back?
10:46Do you think they go to Baygent here in week two of no Caleb?
10:51I mean, I think, I think they had the pecking order set a certain way for a reason.
10:57And, and Baygent being the backup, maybe, you know, Baygent being the backup, uh, that's just, I mean, that's how they wanted, that's how they wanted it.
11:05But Case Keenum is such a professional. And I mean, you, you have him specifically for this in case of emergency break glass moment.
11:13Uh, I think it would be kind of, I think you'd be going against the culture that you said, if you don't at least this week.
11:21And if it's, if it's dog shit, then you can go back to Keenum because Keenum understands what it is.
11:28But if you bypass Baygent getting his opportunity after you paid him, you talk about how you believe that he's a starter
11:35in the league, like you might lose him. Yeah.
11:38I think case is understanding. And, and I, you know, we talked about this, you know, the year before when, uh, what's
11:45his face was the head coach over there and, and Waldron was in the room and they didn't have a veteran and
11:52how big it was to have somebody like Case Keenum come in the last year for him and just be with this team.
11:59And he understands what's going on here. He understands that, you know, this is like, he's not going to be causing a
12:06ruckus or be butthurt that, Hey, I had a good game.
12:10Look what I just did for you. And now we're going to start the kid Baygent again, you know?
12:16So I think this is a great scenario. They've built a great room there quarterback wise, uh, for the, for the bears.
12:23Um, I was excited to see Baygent get a, get a run.
12:27Um, and, and it didn't, and I can't imagine they don't.
12:30Um, so big go. Well, you hit it. You hit it, right.
12:34I mean, it's, it's, it's a good problem to have.
12:37There's a lot of teams in the league that would love to have a second and third quarterback that was apparently good
12:44enough to be arguing about who needs to be starting.
12:47Um, I saw a couple of big, big names in the industry, not just fantasy and regular NFL industry talking about how
12:54there was a couple of throws that could have gone the other way.
12:59It's like, all right, well, the kid hadn't, the old man hadn't played in three years either.
13:04But if so, I don't, I think you're right.
13:07I think you're both right. Case Keenum would handle this situation perfectly, but I think bad shit, bad shit probably handle it well too.
13:15So I say you take Keenum and start him again, because you're trying to go to the playoffs.
13:20You're not trying to see what your second quarterbacks got.
13:23Like, you know what? He's got enough to pay him.
13:27You know what? You know what? He's got enough to slap him on the back and be like, dude, at a boy.
13:34Everybody likes the idea of Bayesian. I think it'd be crazy.
13:37Not the, uh, the, the phrase in control is not even enough to say what happened out there when Casey, he was
13:4411 on 11 when the Eagles blitzed. He hadn't played in three years.
13:48What are we talking about here? Why in the world would you start anybody other than the guy who just tore up
13:55the Eagles defense when he was supposed to get killed?
13:59What are we doing? Play case Keenum and you can put Bayesian in.
14:03It's just like the, the new quarterback thing that we talked about for the giants last year when Jackson Dart was a rookie.
14:10You can't, you know, like you can't take a bag out.
14:14Like just if you take you, you basic come in later if you need to.
14:18Right. And if the, and if it works great for the bears, but like I could not, I do nobody in that locker room.
14:26Look, what are you talking about? Start the guy who just crushed.
14:30Yeah. I don't think you're in a, you're in a, you're in a good spot either way for, for that.
14:36I think, I think, like you said, I think you could do either direction with it.
14:42And I don't think either quarterback or not is necessarily going to be terribly hurt.
14:46I do think it would be, I think Bayesian would be feelings would be a little more hurt if he didn't get
14:53the opportunity, but it's hard to argue deep down inside.
14:57Sure. And he should be as a competitor. It should hurt.
15:00If it doesn't stink, we don't want him anyway.
15:03Get him out of here. It's definitely better. I want to listen to his dad say shit.
15:08You better be upset. He's not playing. He better be upset.
15:12He's not playing, but in a, in a tiny room with just him and the coach, like, you listen, dude, nobody thought
15:19that was going to happen, but he's hot. And he's, and even, even, um, case Keenum said afterwards with SVP, he was
15:26like, I was in complete control mentally. He started, he, he, he just pulled a Phillip rivers and he still had some legs to move around.
15:34You know, he was out there and you could hear him talking to you.
15:39The mic on the field was picking him up and it was, it was awesome.
15:44Yeah. I, if dude play case Keenum, what are we doing?
15:47He says Keenum. And I'm a, I'm a magic.
15:50I got bad on my, on my benches. Yeah.
15:53Yeah. I thought for sure you would just go Beijing, but Hey, you're, you're old.
15:58We about the same age. Keenum's old. I'm actually five years.
16:01I'm five years older than the old man Keenum.
16:04I just think that you're trying to make the playoffs.
16:07Yeah. You know, you're the whole team came into the season thinking we can win this thing.
16:13Benjamin Nontel says he just traded Jalen hurts and Mike Evans for Caleb Williams last week after the injury and FFPC league.
16:20How does that, I mean, is QB is, I don't see one quarterback.
16:24It could be anything. I like it a lot.
16:27Should the 49ers trade for Brian Thomas jr. If Kyle thinks he can play in his system.
16:32Yes. This is a tough one because they're taking them off the field now to block.
16:37And you know, one thing about the one thing about 49ers wide receivers is you got to get your ass out there and block.
16:45You got to block downfield. You got to block, you got to block in the screen game.
16:50They might have you insert like C gap and try to block, like try to lead block for a linebacker.
16:57Like that's more of the McBay stuff he does with Puka.
17:00But even still like the, the OG at all that was Kyle Shanahan.
17:04So the point being, this could be, they could trade for him and turn him into Dante Pettis if he won't, if he won't block.
17:12And so I don't love it. I don't, I would love it from a, from a schematic perspective, but also like if
17:20you don't block, Kyle Shanahan will throw you on the garbage heap and it does a draft capital doesn't matter to him.
17:27Yeah. Well, this point draft capital doesn't matter if you're getting traded anyway.
17:31So I think I don't, I'd be surprised. So I'm saying like the draft capital that they give up.
17:37Yeah, yeah, for sure. Okay. Yeah, I got you.
17:40Even the secondary draft capital. If, if the 49ers trade for Brian Thomas, I'd be surprised if he showed up and didn't block.
17:47Right. Right now, if I, if I'm in a dog house over here for the Jags and second year in a row, something ain't going right.
17:55And just my skill set's not working or either we don't see head to head, whatever's going on in the background.
18:02If it's, if it's front ground, background, side ground, whatever the problem is over there, I don't want to go get, get
18:09rolled up on blocking out of the slot coming in.
18:12I don't want to be inserted into the C gap either, bro.
18:16Not, not, not if you're not going to throw me in.
18:20I'm just trying to stay healthy and move along.
18:23If it ain't working. I think the craziest part is that you let all that value tick away on him when you
18:30certainly could have traded him at the trade deadline last year.
18:33Yeah. You should have. It was, that was, that was the, the Brian Thomas thing is a weird case of, of things to take place.
18:41There's, there's obviously still got to be, I mean, I want to see Jordan Watkins play.
18:46So selfishly, I just want to see, like, he's been on this team.
18:50He's made some noise in preseasons. He's had some plays.
18:54He's looked good. They keep putting them in sweatpants.
18:56He came out there last week and got an opportunity and look good doing it.
19:01I think he had two for 60 or something along those lines, but he's somebody who can take the top off that
19:08defense or the top off a defensive and just speed that they just don't have on that offense.
19:14And, you know, old reliable Demarcus Robinson got hurt a couple of weeks ago.
19:19Right. Now you're going to get some guys back.
19:21Eventually it looks like Michael play, but you know, I want to see, give me, let me see what some, let me
19:28see what him and Cowan can do. Give him, give him a run out.
19:33Let's see what's up. Obviously trading for Brian Thomas would be fine.
19:37Also to be noted, I've given a little Niners celebration after the win was a change of, you know, just a, just a side note.
19:45See if, uh, you know, so a small like positive move from the IA camp.
19:50Somebody finally got ahold of the phone too late, smart move, but to that said, would you, would you said about they should have traded them?
19:58Chip, you both of it. Like some NFL GMs need to play some dynasty real quick.
20:03Y'all boys need to get some seasons in and understand what you lose and what you could do.
20:09You could have traded Brian Thomas. I don't know.
20:12And you stink on him already. A fourth round pick would have been huge for him last year to trade deadline.
20:18Fifth round pick. Now you're not getting that. Maybe, maybe you still get a fifth.
20:23I don't know. I mean, you probably get it.
20:26It's a crazy five, six or seven, somewhere in there.
20:29I would assume, but I mean, they probably don't want to move them, but yeah.
20:34You know, I, it's just wild that like there had to know in that building that it seemed like it was maybe going to be like this.
20:43Um, and, and you apparently loved Parker Washington, you know?
20:46And so, you know, you're seeing, you're seeing the whole thing.
20:49Come together. And, and you just feels like you, you squandered an opportunity to get back something on right now.
20:56Next back half of the season next year, we could see Brian Thomas get right back.
21:01Like it's still in there. Like we, it just, it seems like he's been banged up and just mentally, um, kind of,
21:08I don't want to say checked out, but like he's not, he's in his feelings.
21:13It seems. Yeah. He's not, he's not there. He wanted to be, he wanted to be treated like, you know, the guy.
21:20And when they gave him the opportunity to be the guy, there's more than just, you know, catching the football, you know,
21:27catching deep balls and like catching and running to being the guy.
21:31It's the, and you know, he was dealing with personal tragedy, injuries, all that stuff.
21:35But the thing about the NFL is like, Hey, we'll move on.
21:39We'll move on without you, especially an offensive mind, like Liam Cohen.
21:43It's not like one, one player, one, one cog in this engine.
21:47Isn't going to stop the engine from functioning. We'll adjust.
21:50We'll adapt. I mean, they were about to go to Travis Hunter as a, as a primarily wide receiver before he injured himself in practice.
21:58Right? Like that, that's the, that's the, like the, the cannon event in all this Jags stuff is Travis Hunter getting hurt in practice and Brian Thomas Jr.
22:07being absolute dog shit in that last game where they lost.
22:11And it was like, they got embarrassed and Travis Hunter showed up, but Brian Thomas didn't and they were like, okay, we've seen enough.
22:18We gotta, we gotta start giving the kid the ball.
22:21He gets hurt. Enter Parker Washington. And they've been rolling ever since they trade for Jacoby Myers.
22:27Parker Washington starts rolling the back half of the year and the rest is history.
22:32Right? So, right. I just, you know, it, I mean, it stinks because there's a lot of Drake London or excuse me, not Drake, Brian Thomas Jr.
22:40Bag holders are like, it's still good. It's still real to me.
22:44Damn it. And it's just not. It's not guys.
22:47It doesn't seem like it is right now. And we're going to, we're going to talk about some dynasty rankings here in the show.
22:55I'm going to try to answer some more of these questions, roll through some of them here.
23:00Appreciate a ghost over here. Presentation doesn't matter when the ball knowledge is on point.
23:05Keep grinding. Appreciate you. Appreciate you. All right. Let's shoot down here.
23:09Let's go over to Mo barks, 19 RB needy team.
23:12One quarterback, 10 team Chuba Hubbard or a late 20 or late second.
23:16Doesn't say what year. And Antonio Williams thoughts. You're already.
23:19This is pretty. This is. So he's betrayed. He'd be getting Chuba for a late second.
23:24And Antonio Williams. That's pretty easy. It's a pretty easy Chuba for me.
23:29You think so? Yeah. If you're RB needy. If you have, if you're, if you're in contention, I guess, you know, I
23:36mean, they keep trying to find ways out of Chuba, it seems, but he just keeps going back.
23:41Okay. Okay. So this last, this last way was a psyop because Rico Dattle was real.
23:47Okay. Rico Dattle was real and we should have, we should have given that a lot more credit than we did, but
23:54everything also went in the way of, Hey, Rico's going to get a real opportunity.
23:58They wanted it to be Chuba. Even when Chuba was healthy and Rico was running way better, they were giving him opportunities.
24:05This organization believes in Chuba Hubbard. And I feel like we're just not giving that enough credit because Rico Dattle was clearly better.
24:13And they still, as soon as he came back, they started divvying up the target.
24:18I mean, the carries and the targets. And, and then they, we tried to, they tried to Wally Pippis with Jonathan Brooks.
24:25I wasn't buying that shit. Was not buying for one say.
24:28I was like, no, buy as much Chuba, buy as much Chuba Hubbard as possible.
24:33And we've gotten plenty of things wrong around here.
24:36But I didn't seem like anybody on the team was overwhelmingly in on Jonathan Brooks.
24:41It was, it was kind of a sell 75, keep 25 situation.
24:44Yeah. Just, it was cheap enough for a long time.
24:48It was. And then it got too expensive. It was, everybody was like, I don't like Chuba.
24:53He's not good. Yeah. I mean, and it's, you know, he, he's been very solid.
24:58So I, obviously I'm an Antonio Williams guy. So it's hard for me to give up the second and Antonio Williams.
25:05So I do think he's going to be great.
25:07We're seeing glimpses of greatness. I think he's going to be the guy for that team to lead them into the new
25:15offensive sort of era of where they're going to go with, with JD and him.
25:19Unfortunately, we haven't seen JD thought Blau called a much better game.
25:23You know, that, that, that was, that was good.
25:26Good to see, right. If Blau is the real deal that in this Antonio Williams thing could be super awesome.
25:32Big co, how do you feel about that? I know we've been talking about maybe trading Chuba in an FFPC league and
25:39we've had some twos on the, on the table and haven't taken them.
25:44Yeah. I mean, a 10 team league, you know, you gotta, you always gotta have running backs, but you gotta be able
25:51to, Chuba is, like you said, he just keeps showing up.
25:54And it shows up in the passing game too.
25:57And the, uh, some, not that it really matters to Chuba really, but some massive strikes to the defensive backs for the Panthers this week.
26:05And sometimes that might lead to a little bit more higher scoring potentially.
26:09But like you said, Antonio Williams, after week one, he was everywhere.
26:13Right. Um, good week one for the rookie and, you know, everybody was all over some Antonio Williams for a minute.
26:20And obviously, you know, y'all been on him for a long time.
26:24He got really, we got, he had a nice little value bump there.
26:28So this is one of those things like cute RB, RB needy.
26:32I'll probably take a Chuba as well. But in, you know, a year you'd be like, did I really need a running back that bad?
26:40Cause my other four guys got hurt anyway. And my team sucked and I don't have Antonio Williams or you can stay,
26:47or you can stay healthy and everything runs good and you don't miss them.
26:51Yeah. They're, I was just seeing how close they were there.
26:55They're pretty close in crowdsource data right now on, on the FF dynasty.com.
26:59We got Antonio Williams charging up, but Chuba's on his own little research here.
27:03Um, one 32, one 26. So, um, so I split room there on that one.
27:08So that's, that seems like it's probably a good trade then.
27:12Um, all right, let's do, we'll take one or two more and then we'll get into some rankings.
27:17Drake London or a Chan and a two for a rebuild.
27:21Oh, Drake. Yeah. I've got some stuff. Hmm. Really?
27:24Just to share with the class. 13 games for Drake London with Michael Penix at the helm.
27:29Uh, that's 143 targets, 91 receptions, 1356 yards and eight touchdowns.
27:3313 games. Penix likes Drake. Yeah. So do the, do the, or do we believe in Penix?
27:38Cause if we believe in Penix, then we, we have a cornerstone stud wide receiver and Drake pretty much bar none.
27:45When, if Penix is in the ball game, let me, let me, I, I put it in the group chat a few
27:52days ago, but like last year, last year from weeks three to 11, before he injured his PCL, Drake London was tied
27:59with JSN fantasy points per game, 22 and a half full PPR.
28:03Like if Penix is a quarterback, we're looking at, we're looking at a ridiculous, like Jamar Chase-esque target share, but there's no,
28:10there's no T Higgins to, to level, to flatten this out.
28:13So like Penix cannot be great, but he could match shop his way into making Drake London, you know, making Drake London
28:20into this, this, like a, a Brandon Marshall type of Jay Cutler with Brandon Marshall type of ridiculous fantasy outcome because he
28:27just peppers him with targets all the time. Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall is a nice pull there.
28:33Hmm. Penix might not be Brandon Marshall, might not be Jay Cutler, but, uh, did, uh, they did go under center like
28:40two or three times more than Penix had ever done his entire career.
28:44And I don't know if it was just the Packers being the Packers right now or Penix and the head coach figured something out.
28:52Um, because that was, that was different. Well, I mean, with Stefanski, they're going to be under, under center more, right?
28:59Well, then they would be with Al Cocha and Zach Robinson from, you know, yeah.
29:04Yeah. I mean, Penix look, Penix look fine in his first game without Zach Robinson.
29:08And so does Kirk cousins. So this is interesting for, this is interesting for, for Chev because I, you know, both of
29:15these guys are, are your boys and you, I love H and two.
29:20Yeah. And both Chev has really, really stuck by with both guys at any moments of darkness, not saying that, you know,
29:27big co, you know, you haven't been there with a Chan, but you know, obviously you, you had a bad couple of
29:34weeks for a Chan and the dolphins to start.
29:36I do think things will continuously get better for the dolphins.
29:40It's not going to result in anything, but I just think as, as the season goes on, unfortunately, we're not going to
29:47get a chain or are we, I don't want to say selling low, but I mean, at one point a Chan was,
29:54was, you know, probably a top, you know, four or five RB for you.
29:59And I'm trying to buy a Chan. I'm trying to buy a Chan for sure.
30:03Drake wouldn't be the button you're pressing. It's hard to give away Drake.
30:07I mean, everything Chev says right there. If when, when Penix is on the field, Drake London is like even week two,
30:15you could see, but obviously before Penix was in there, Drake only had like four for 40 or something, but the four
30:22times the ball got anywhere close to him. You could see that flash.
30:26So there's Drake London. It just flash on the screen for a second.
30:30It's like, but what, you know, what's the name?
30:33The old backup for the Cowboys that was starting for two weeks.
30:37Oh, Cooper rush. Oh, Cooper rush. Just couldn't get it.
30:40Drake London. That just wasn't happening. Right. Um, so I, Drake London is not the guy I want to give up for a Chan.
30:47I, especially he's helping me this year as well.
30:50I mean, obviously a chance, you know, out for the year.
30:54If a Chan was in there doing Drake London things, I'll take dry.
30:58I'll take a Chan. Cause he's a running back and he's a stud and he can do everything.
31:04And let me just say real quick before we get away from the dolphins here.
31:09Like I was hammering Malik Willis and a Chan in the off season.
31:13I said, a Chan will have the biggest run gaps he's ever seen to run through and Malik Willis, everything like none
31:20of that was predicated on me thinking that Malik Willis wasn't going to run the ball.
31:25Yeah. There's a, there's a stat going around Twitter after two weeks.
31:29Well, you finally got it this week a little bit.
31:32Well, I, because I think they put it some, they put them on public notice about tanking from the top down.
31:39Like, how do you have, how do you pay Malik Willis to come in and be your starting lineup?
31:45I mean, be your starting quarterback. And then there is, you can, there is nothing you could do to convince me that
31:52somebody didn't say this is the playbook and these are the plays and you, we call this play.
31:58And unless there's a 285 pound man whispered in your ear, you do not take off running.
32:03Like this is like, yeah, this is crazy to me.
32:06It's it's so the whole Miami office was handicapped from the get goes like they had their shoes tied together.
32:13You bring, that's what Malik Willis does. You have to run around and stretch out the defense.
32:18And you know, we talked about that a little bit on the, uh, on the, on the redraft show.
32:24Um, the heroes and zeros sort of shove. And, you know, we were alluding to, you know, Hey, not looking great for,
32:31for Willis, but it's like, man, you got, this is what has to happen to, to soften some things up.
32:38And, and hopefully I think maybe this is the start of that.
32:41Obviously H and not being around, you know, really stinks.
32:45Um, but you know, hopefully we can get bell back.
32:48We can get Douglas back out there. Malik Washington and, and have an, you get, maybe a little more Dulcet's rolling.
32:54Um, so hopefully we can get, I think things will look a little better for Miami.
33:00And I think generally the people in charge and Willis and those like, I think they're going to keep the, you know, keep this.
33:07And again, Miami's coming in with their hands tied behind their back.
33:11Cause the cap's a mess. This is the saints from a few years ago, right?
33:16Where a, we, we got to eat, eat shit for a year or two here and we'll, we'll rebuild and kind of figure this out.
33:24I think they've got the, a good nucleus of an offensive line, although it hasn't looked good.
33:29Um, but you know, I think go ahead. One more lap around one more lap around.
33:34Like these guys come in majority talentless, right? They, you sell off everything you got to get as many traffic as you can go into the future.
33:43And I don't hate that at all. We just, you know, talked about the, uh, Jags not selling Brian Thomas when they
33:50could like good for them for getting a first round pick for waddle, et cetera.
33:55Like in selling everything. I don't, I don't mind that at all.
33:59Then, and then that being said, you come in talentless, your wide receivers literally look like a team in week 12 that
34:06have cluster injuries at the wide receiver position. Right.
34:09You, you, it looks like you've already lost three guys to IR based on their, their week one wide receiver rankings depth chart.
34:16And did they still come out and look respectable for the first half of the game two weeks in a row?
34:23And then respectable this year to this week, too.
34:26Like for me, I buy him Malik Willis again.
34:28I no doubt he has looked very decent considering.
34:31We don't even know what it would look like if they just said, Hey, go out and do what you got to
34:38do week one to win the game. They obviously said, you can't do that, which is crazy to me.
34:44And at like the, the dolphins owners already been suspended chart, like charts, money, whatever you call it.
34:50Like they, like they had to, they gave them, if they find him for two, a gate or whatever, like the Brian
34:57Flores got fired because they made him tank games.
35:00Like, yeah. Well, he just said, Hey, I don't want to lose.
35:04And so it was such a big riff. He was like, dude, these boys told me to take, and I don't want to do that.
35:12I'm going to win. And the dolphins have literally already did this recently.
35:16And you can't tell me that the way that Malik Willis started, it's been playing.
35:21It hasn't been an obvious tank job. And, and I don't mind the roster build tank.
35:26I get it. That's what more teams should do and, and, and build up equity.
35:31And, but then to say, Hey, your quarterback can't, can't go out and run us.
35:36That's BS, man. That's BS. And I like, and I'll take, I'll take more Malik Willis as it goes because of what
35:43I've seen double and buy and low. Double and a chance.
35:46Double and down. All right. Let's, let's go here.
35:49Cause there's, there's questions in the FFD website inbox here about, um, Drake may there's some questions in the chat for Drake may.
35:56Um, I see another question in here about breeze for the FF dynasty question.
36:01And we're going to get back to using all that stuff.
36:04It's been a bit of a hiatus for the live stuff.
36:08And we're gonna get back to using all that stuff and getting questions and, and whatever, um, you know, sort of, we
36:15need to do there for, for, uh, to get those questions back.
36:19Ready to roll. That's going to be one of your best ways to get your questions in and answered.
36:25But, um, let's, we're going to talk some dynasty rankings here for, for a while, but let's talk about, let's, let's skip over to, uh, the Patriots.
36:34Let's go, let's go quarterback dynasty rankings. We can start there a little bit.
36:38Um, and just get some questions answered on Drake may and see where he kind of lands for us.
36:44I mean, people are asking, is it a slump?
36:47Is it bad game? Should I trade for him?
36:50Should I trade off of them? Um, so generally how are we feeling about Drake may and what, what do you, what do we think the issue is?
36:59Where do we rank him right now? As far as a dynasty asset, what do we think here?
37:05Uh, now's not the time to sell him. Um, he's just play, he's not playing with, if you watch him play, you
37:12watch Trevor Lawrence play, it's almost like they're playing two different sports right now.
37:16Like you watch him play and watch Brock Purdy play like there's too much going on upstairs for Drake may.
37:23Um, and that to me is, that's a big part of the problem.
37:27Another part of the problem is I don't think that they, I don't think that they have for some reason, they don't
37:34have the answers built into the offense that they had that made things a lot easier for them last year.
37:40Could be that they won 14 games and went to a freaking Superbowl.
37:44So now they're everybody's Superbowl and they've had a really hard schedule too.
37:48I mean, playing Jacksonville and Seattle, the first two of the first three weeks.
37:53Um, and I mean, Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh's defense isn't bad and they, I mean, I just hadn't represented themselves.
37:59Well, I think that they'll figure it out, but I think this is a huge, a massive buying opportunity.
38:05We've seen him perform with a much worse offensive coordinator with a much worse offensive line with much worse weapons.
38:11He's just not playing well right now. And you can just chalk it up to that acting, doing anything permanent right now
38:18would be a fool's errand to me. Like if I'm doing anything other than buying Drake may, I feel like I'm making a mistake.
38:26What'd you think? Because shout out to big smooth, dropping some cashies for the boys and OG appreciate you.
38:32Big smooth, big smooth for sure. Um, what, what's, what's your thoughts here?
38:36And I, I, I agree with a lot of what you said there, Shev.
38:41What, what, how are you taking the Drake may start to the season here?
38:45I like the, uh, if I'm doing anything, permit talk right there out of, out of Shev.
38:50That sounds, sounds good to me. Um, I was looking at my, in my trying to find the league that big smooth
38:57and I have together that I've shouted out a couple of weeks ago when he was on the, on the, um, show here.
39:05I think big smooth's undefeated with the most points in the league.
39:09Go big smooth. That's what I'm talking about. Um, I'd love to have Drake may in a package where I got Caleb Williams back.
39:16Um, I got no problem trading Drake may, if he's in a package to get you another high end quarterback, if that's
39:23what it takes, maybe there's a Patriots lover, or maybe there's a Caleb Williams, you know, some people just, I don't know
39:30if you have Caleb Williams and you'd rather have Drake may, I do that swap right now.
39:36One to one, I take Caleb Williams and let go of Drake may, but yes, I'm I will take a page out
39:43of big smooth, big smooth out of chef's book there and be like, I'm not selling Drake may on the low to me.
39:50That's not selling low to, to grab Caleb Williams.
39:53Um, but I wouldn't want to, I wouldn't want to make it.
39:57I wouldn't want to make any wild, you know, wild trades right now where I really regret that.
40:03I did see something that there's apparently, and maybe this is all speculation, but there might be something with him in between him and the head coach.
40:11And they might've just been a variable hater. Um, but they were like, you know, remember variable didn't let, uh, Tom Brady
40:18come to Tennessee before he went to the bucks.
40:21Yes. Vrabel wants to be the lead dog in the face of the franchise.
40:26And he's got an issue with Drake may and something, something, something.
40:30And that may have, that may have just been clickbait.
40:33But if there's anything to that, yes, I did say that it wasn't fair for the Patriots to get Mike Vrabel so
40:40quickly after Belichick, because I don't want to see them be awesome, but I'd, I'd keep may and kick the coach out.
40:47If that's, if that was the case. Yeah. I saw something about some insider having maybe a scoop on it and they're
40:54maybe going to be on a radio shot, you know, who, like you said, it seemed like potential clickbait, but who knows?
41:01But generally, so is there, are we buying Drake may and, and, you know, we, me and Stan talked about this week,
41:08one or two, like big co, you know, a few years ago we got on our, on our soap boxes and we're
41:15like, let other people deal with the rookie quarterbacks.
41:18Right. And then it seemingly for the next two years, it seemed to blow up in our face a little bit, but
41:25now we've, you know, you had a period where you overrated Stroud and you moved him up too fast and you overrated
41:32Jaden Daniels and you moved him up too fast.
41:35To be fair, there's been some injuries. Maybe you've overrated May and you moved him up too fast.
41:41Right. And then, and then we drop guys like Lamar down too far, too quick.
41:45Right. Or at least the, the, the people do.
41:48Um, so with that sort of weighing into it, is there, you know, and I don't know that anybody's really getting out
41:55of Drake may for super duper cheap right now, but is there, are you reinvesting in Drake may?
42:01And then we, we can speak to more of maybe what we think is wrong with them for a second too, but
42:08is there, is there a buying opportunity here? Or are you kind of sitting tight for a minute?
42:14Let me ask you this. If you have, you have Drake may on a contending roster, would you, would you trade him
42:21straight up to get a guy like Brock Purdy?
42:24I knew that was coming. I don't, I don't think I can go straight up right now just because I, what the market was bearing previous.
42:32Um, but I mean, from a production standpoint, it's, it's night and day right now.
42:37And, and, you know, we, we, like at this point, there's nothing to even do that justice.
42:42There's nothing anybody can now say anymore about whatever, however, whatever spin you want to put on why Brock Purdy is successful.
42:49Right. We're done with the, if you're not done with that, you're just hating.
42:54Right. Um, so that being said, it will be interesting to see how Bryce young at an early second for Drake may no drink may.
43:02I mean, yeah, if I can get Drake may for that, then I'm going to, that's kind of like, if people are
43:09the hour out, out on Drake may, that's the, you know, I'm fine with sending those kinds of deals.
43:15But to be fair, like, and this is why I would say I'm buying Drake may is because look at Bryce young for so long.
43:23Like we were, we didn't know if he could be in the league.
43:27He's looking really good right now. You know, it looks like as chef calls him, bam, up, right.
43:33Trevor Lawrence was just as soon as last year was by big pundits, fantasy data points, guys, big guys, big guys in the league all over the place.
43:42He's not even a starting quarterback in the league.
43:45Yeah. And now like, I mean, like you, you, I only mentioned that because you kind of led off with Trevor Lawrence
43:52being, you know, look like they're not playing the same version of football or however you phrase that.
43:58Yeah. It looks like, I mean, just you, you watch, I don't know if you, I don't know if either one of
44:05you guys have had a chance to watch some of the, like some of the touchdown throws, like the red zone, like
44:12the low red zone throws that Trevor Lawrence is throwing, but it's, I mean, it's straight up gas, but he's throwing it
44:19before people are coming out of the breaks to a spot.
44:22And it is like the Jacoby Myers touchdown, both Parker Washington touchdowns, even though like the one that counted in the one
44:29that didn't like the, the throw week one to Brenton strange, the touchdown, the old Brenton strange is only touchdown.
44:36Go look that up. It is an absolutely ridiculous throw, but, but they're, you know, they're going to deal with some boneheaded plays from quarterbacks generally.
44:44And so, and so you had that from Trevor, but what you're, what you're saying right now, that comes from the confidence
44:51of being with who your coaches, what they've instilled in you, how you've been playing for a while.
44:57And Drake may had that confidence a little bit and now seem that seemingly has lost a little bit of it right now.
45:04And, you know, so I do think there's certainly some by window, but I don't know how open it is right now.
45:11I think people are still probably patiently waiting. But I think, I think I would be buying, I think you do have to move them.
45:19How far do you move down Drake may right now in your dynasty rankings?
45:24I guess right now we're looking at the PPR super flex crowdsource rankings current.
45:28Let me say something before. Okay. Okay. That's why he's thinking about his rankings on the fly.
45:33So everything you just said about Trevor Lawrence was awesome.
45:37Shiv and Liam Cohen and the Jags. We've been talking about that for 18 months now about the, you know, the turnaround, maybe 12 months.
45:45But like you take what, what you're saying there and you look at the Patriots play football on offense.
45:51Obviously AJ Brown got hurt. AJ Brown was a big deal.
45:54He comes in supposed to be the savior to the wide receiver room, reuniting with his coach.
46:00He's out of Philly. He's excited to be away from Philly.
46:03AJ Brown's going to be a beast. He takes a kneed at an ankle and he's out for four to six weeks, whatever.
46:11We might not be talking like this about Drake may if AJ Brown didn't get hurt.
46:16There's, you know, it's circumstantial, man. If things happen in NFL, things happen fast there.
46:20You know, that was the first two quarters of AJ Brown and Drake may working together in live reps.
46:27And it was starting to look okay. And he got hurt in what third quarter, whatever.
46:32And you know, we don't know what would have happened, but that's gone.
46:36That being said, it's malpractice for the Patriots offense right now.
46:39We, we, we thought Josh, Josh McDaniels was coordinator face.
46:43He tries, he got literally voted out of town two times in a row quickly or whatever.
46:48He sucks as a head coach. That's, that's a given, but he's offensive coordinator and he's a genius.
46:54Why are they not throwing the ball to Travion Henderson?
46:57Like that's dumb. Like the whole opera. So it's a complete, you got the Jags over here firing on all cylinders.
47:04Trevor Lawrence is looking gassy in the red zone, you know?
47:07And then you come over here to the Patriots and you got the all world young quarterback who's supposed to be the savior.
47:15And then you got this little mighty might running back who runs a 4.0 40 yard dash and he can catch and you're not giving him the ball.
47:24That's crazy. It is. It is. It, well, I think this comes down to, you know, this is one of those things
47:31that I feel like is the blind spot of Rabel where it's like we get, we get, we get too much hard
47:38on hard shit with raves where it's like, that's the shit that gets in his way.
47:43While there are things about it and that very much helped the culture out.
47:47And that's all we heard was the culture last year.
47:50And we had a big issue with sort of a crack in the culture here, which can be something that could be
47:57low key affecting the locker room of just like, Hey, you're saying all this shit, but you're preaching it and not living it.
48:05Um, also I guarantee you that shit wrecked his home life.
48:08So, you know what that man, his head ain't, when he comes to the office, his head ain't clear.
48:14Yeah. He's all messed up. Hop in there. He's all messed up.
48:18I know you wanted to get in there. Hop in there.
48:22Look, man. I told y'all motherfuckers get ready to speak.
48:25Brable knees. I told y'all like awesome, awesome leader of men, not the best when it comes to like putting your guys
48:32in a position to succeed and accentuate their skill sets.
48:35If it's not like, Hey, we're just going to run through this motherfucker's face all the time.
48:41Like it just, it just doesn't, it works when you have a generational running back and Derek Henry.
48:46And then you have baby Tio in AJ Brown, like healthy AJ Brown.
48:51Yeah. It works when it's stuff like that, but for a young impressionable quarterback who is very clearly, uh, he's never had
48:58to deal with the rigor of being, being well, so they put him in a situation like he was in a UNC
49:05early in his career, you know, his rookie year.
49:07And he responded well, then he has all this success.
49:11Then he struggles in the playoffs and we don't see that same type of drag may, but this is the guy, this
49:18is the guy that was number one in deep ball accuracy last year.
49:22Like we've seen everything we need to see. It's just a rough patch.
49:26Like if you're, if you're, if you're panicking, if you're panicking, like if there's people in your league that are panicking the
49:33lowest that I could move him case, you had the rankings up a second ago, the lowest I could move him would be, you know, the crowdsource rankings.
49:42I could move him below Lamar, Lamar Jackson. That's it.
49:45I'm not making any long-term determination. Like if he sucks this whole season, we can have a different conversation, but right now,
49:52and I've said this, I've said this a number of times, like right now, these first four weeks are teams figuring out
49:59who they are because they can't practice like they used to.
50:03So you're figuring, you're building the airplane in the air in the NFL now.
50:07And for young quarterbacks, for a guy like Drake may repetition is, is, is the most important thing.
50:13Being able to do the same shit over and over again is the same thing.
50:18So you're not going to get the same result that you get from a guy, like from a seasoned vet that's in
50:25a, that's in an incredible system, like a Matthew Stafford, that level of consistency is not going to be there.
50:31Yeah. It's just not, he hasn't seen it enough.
50:34Yeah. There's, you know, you put Aaron Rogers in a system where like everything's, everything's perfect.
50:39And look how he looks. I tweeted today, like some of the throws that he's making, it's like, yeah, that's a dude
50:46who's seen everything and done it twice. Like you're not going to get the same level of consistency from these young quarterbacks.
50:53So I would encourage people to go. If there's panic in the streets, I'd go buy Drake may.
50:59I just can't, I can't. I mean, like we're, we're thermostats.
51:03We're not thermometer guys. The temperature right now is, is a little tepid on Drake may.
51:08And I would say you got to take advantage of that uncertainty because we've seen enough from him in really shitty situations
51:15where he can use his legs and get out of trouble, where he hits the deep balls consistently.
51:21Like it's just their offense isn't functioning at a high level.
51:24Now. Do I think that that corrects itself? Yes.
51:27Cause you've got a seasoned offensive coordinator face. I mean, he's great coordinator face and Mike Rabel is going to get those
51:34guys doing what they need to do eventually. But it's just, he's not the nurturing, put your, put your, he's like, Hey,
51:41you want to go fight about it? So you'll play better.
51:45Like Drake may is like, what are you talking about?
51:48I play quarterback. What are you? He's like, well, you gotta be ready to die at any moment.
51:53It was like, Whoa, Whoa, pal. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
51:56So. Well, we've got, I want to go back to, you made a good point.
52:01I mean, you can, I don't know if everybody can see it here cause it is a little small on the screen,
52:08but I mean, you start off with Seattle in Seattle and you play Pittsburgh, which defense is good.
52:14Um, and then you had Jacksonville this past week.
52:17Um, and they're, they're pretty crispy, uh, at the moment.
52:20Right. Um, so those are three games to start off the schedule.
52:24Yeah. The schedule kind of loosens up a little bit.
52:27I mean, you have the bills, which are obviously good, but I mean, I don't, you know, I don't think anybody's terribly concerned about the bills defense.
52:36Then you got the Raiders, the jets, the bears dolphins, Packers.
52:39Those are your next six. Right. Um, and like you said, Jeff, if you, if it's bad this whole year, then there's
52:46something weird going on and we can have a different discussion, but I'm, I'm right there with you.
52:52Um, I mean, we, we wrote, we wrote Caleb off and now, you know, he's playing awesome.
52:57Right. That's the exact, that's the thing. Like we, and we can, the statistic year for Drake may cannot look good.
53:04As long as we're watching and seeing, Hey, there's like, we can look at all the bad Caleb stats.
53:10And if you didn't watch, you go, well, he's last in this and he's 36th in this.
53:16And Patrick Mahomes deep ball accuracy is this, these, you know, but if you're watching, you're going, well, there's reasons for these things.
53:23And Trevor Lawrence is making good, a bunch of good plays.
53:27And then he makes one bonehead play and you know, they lose the game or whatever.
53:32And that's what everybody focuses on. Or he fumbles a couple of times.
53:36And now, you know, nobody has shit to say about Trevor Lawrence.
53:40Right. And it's just, but if you were watching, you were like, okay, we're all right here because there's some rushing upside.
53:47The tools and traits are there. They're just the Jags.
53:50So yeah, I think we can wrap the Drake may conversation a big co where, where would you sort of rank Drake
53:57may and, and right now, like, you know, Lamar Jaden Daniels.
54:00You know, I think we got to talk about moving him down as well.
54:05Right. But what's your thoughts? Yeah. I mean, up and down to quarterbacks list is again, I don't want him to go too far.
54:13I think it's more along the lines of trying to, you know, find the, who knows where that trade came from that you read out.
54:21It was like, what's his name in a second from the Panthers.
54:24Right. Like this is just a guy throwing up.
54:27Right. So yeah. Bryce Young in a second for me.
54:31Like, I don't know. But like you immediately said, Casey, yeah, those are the types of offers.
54:36Right. So like, if you have, you know, a couple of leagues and it's still manageable to go out and send trade offers.
54:43If you, if you're not a degenerate like me and you got way too many leagues and you're like, ah, it ain't worth it.
54:51Whatever. But like, you know, like if you, if you can still go out and play the wire and you know, you
54:58still got your young buck, then go out and try to make, send those offers for Drake May and check the room.
55:05You know, um, I would, I would, I'm not trying to drop him too far down the list.
55:11It would, like I said, it would be, I have no problem using him in a package to make my team better.
55:18If I thought so, he's not, to me, he wasn't like Josh Allen to begin with, you know, to me, he wasn't,
55:25he wasn't the one to like the value there was too hard.
55:29I had to take him and just make the pick to me.
55:33It was always trading back anyway, cause there was, you know, there's too much.
55:37The, the, the market was giving him too much value to be sitting there.
55:42Yeah. Quarterbacks does seem, uh, you know, strangely enough, especially if there's rushing to be elevated very quickly.
55:47Um, well, man, it's just, it's, yeah, it's just real hard to, it's real hard to keep the alligators down when you
55:54got a guy that scores a bunch of touchdowns, throws a pretty, throws a pretty deep ball and they're having like team success.
56:02It's like, Oh, this dude's going to be my guy for the next 10 years.
56:06Yeah. Look at Mendoza going up and he's not even playing.
56:10Love it. Yeah. Well, I want to, I want to, I want to talk about a couple of, well, at least one
56:17more quarterback and then we'll move over to receivers, um, and talk about them for a minute.
56:22But, uh, Latino heat, um, bugged himself out. Some old school wrestling right there.
56:27Some old school wrestling right there. Yeah. Oh yeah.
56:30Yeah. Shout out to Eddie. Rest in peace. Eddie Guerrero.
56:33Oh man. Uh, send Rome for Josh downs. Dynasty.
56:36Fuck no. No, no. I hate it. I don't like it.
56:39Yeah. I don't hate it. That's a Roman duns a all day long.
56:44That's that is a, that is a Rome Roman.
56:46Oh, duns a the first. Yeah. Yeah. We're yeah.
56:49I'm a, I got a hold. I got a hold tight on that one.
56:54I like Josh downs a lot. It's back season too.
56:57So he's probably, I mean, it's clearing up for him to get a ton of targets, nine targets and 11 targets last two games.
57:05Right. But I, I just, I believe that the Chicago offense is going to, level itself out.
57:10This Khalif Raymond, uh, business is going to slow down at some point.
57:14And then we're going to get into big boy football where you start throwing, throwing the ball to Rome and Luther and Colson Loveland and bike.
57:23They're going to need those guys to win games.
57:25You need the ball in those guys hands to win games at some point.
57:30Yeah. I'm with you. All right. Um, let's jump back into the quarterback rankings and then we'll run over to wide receivers.
57:37We'll probably have some more Rome and bear conversation at that point.
57:41Um, but I don't know how far we'll get done.
57:44We'll probably run for another 30 minutes or so, 20 minutes or so.
57:48Um, and, uh, see where we get, but we will be back Wednesdays lives, eight 30 and talking, you know, dynasty rankings,
57:55answering questions, maybe doing some NFL power ranking stuff throughout the season.
57:59We're going to have some buckets talk, bring that back.
58:02Um, but now is the part where we, where I'll start adjusting rankings here.
58:07We've had a little bit of quarter of a season or whatever you want to call it here.
58:12So where, where does Tyler Shuck land right now in the pantheon of, of quarterback rankings?
58:18Cause he was somebody coming in who we all liked and we're like, yeah, but, and we like him and we like
58:25him good well enough, but there was still a question to be answered and we're early in the season, but on the
58:32juxtaposition of what we've seen from May, we're seeing, you know, huge growth from Shuck and, and, you know, obviously different head
58:39coach, different thought process, um, different positioning of the saints generally than, than kind of where the, you know, the Patriots stand
58:46on kind of the public thought process on the team.
58:49Um, but, uh, where, where does, I mean, where I would bring them up here.
58:54Let's see. He is shooting up the board. He's at QB 16 right now.
58:58Mendoza is one ahead of him. I don't think there's any way, shape or form that you can have Mendoza ahead of Tyler Shuck right now.
59:07Um, no, shook up, shook up to 55 overall.
59:09Now, you know, Shucks 27 and Mendoza's 23. So there is a gap there, but quarterback wise, we're not, I'm not terribly, I'm not concerned about it.
59:18Right. I shouldn't, that shouldn't factor into your evaluation at all at this point in time.
59:23Um, not for me. Yeah. So where does, where does somebody like Tyler Shuck kind of rank here for you guys?
59:30Like, are you taking them over Jordan love, right?
59:33You got to correct. Yes. Big co you're a Jordan love.
59:36Oh, for sure. What I've, why is he 57 on?
59:39He's 65 on your screen. And you know, that's just the quarter.
59:43That's just a Q, that's just a QB view.
59:46Is it not? Yeah. I'm just on QB. I'm on super flex PPR.
59:50Gotcha. Um, you could be on a different setting as well, but yeah, flex tight end premium.
59:56That's fine. Okay. You got to go PPR. And then I'm just sorted QBs.
60:00Um, so he's at 16 right now. Overall quarterback wise.
60:03Yeah. We got him above Mendoza. We got him above, um, Jordan love.
60:08Bo Nix. Sure. Why not? They're probably pretty close.
60:11Yeah. They are really close in age. It's real.
60:13Yeah. It's real close. Um, I think it's safer to go Bo Nix, but I mean, this trajectory that this trajectory that
60:20Tyler Shuck appears to be on is just, it's aggressive.
60:24It is aggressive. It's, it's, uh, and Kellen Moore, we trust.
60:27I mean, I've seen, you know, I came in here and I was like, listen, I didn't have any saints really.
60:34I'm a little bit of a lobby and some Jawan Johnson, but down the stretch, I didn't have any Shuck in our lineups.
60:41Um, Casey and I had one Tyler Shuck last year.
60:44We traded him before he started even, he wasn't, he was still, he was still.
60:49Could you imagine we're fucking smoking that leak right now?
60:52Well, like, could you imagine where we would be if we didn't have Daniel Jones instead of Tyler Shuck?
60:58I know we traded him for Daniel Jones in a package.
61:02We gave away more than just Tyler Shuck for day.
61:05We got Rick. Whatever that was, I think too.
61:08Maybe. Um, anyway, I didn't have any Shuck and I wasn't really paying attention.
61:13If you don't that type of, you know, come out of nowhere points.
61:17If you don't have them in your lineup somewhere, you don't, you don't appreciate it.
61:22You can't. Well, and we, we were hurting on quarterbacks.
61:25We needed a trade for, we need a start.
61:28We needed a starter and we had a great lineup.
61:31We ended up winning the championship without him. Sure.
61:34We did. Um, but he wasn't playing at that point.
61:37So we were getting nothing at all. Right. Yeah.
61:40But anyway, I was saying you can't, I didn't have, I wasn't watching Tyler Shuck play football down the stretch.
61:46I didn't see those saints games to see. Appreciate it.
61:49In the off season I go and I'm like, I got to figure out what's going on.
61:55I need to know what I'm doing. And I watched the highlight tape for Tyler Shuck.
62:00First of all, it took forever because there's a lot of highlights.
62:04Oh yeah. And he, and he was nasty and it was, I love with a ton of, you know, Chris Alave doing
62:11work and Juwan Johnson, but it was also no name players.
62:14I never heard of coming out of nowhere. And you could hear the commentator going and look at this play design and look at these X's and O's.
62:23And then, you know, the way the highlight tape works, it's rolling.
62:27So the commentator gets cut off as well. But it was like, basically if you had to summarize it, it was like,
62:34that was a lot of awesome plays. And Kellen Moore is a beast.
62:38And we know he has a neutral pass rate.
62:41It's going to be in the top three every year.
62:44We've already seen enough on paper and we saw what he did with Jalen Hurst got the best statistics out of him and through the air ever.
62:53And I'm like, all right, I just come, I come right to y'all.
62:57And I'm like, Hey guys, I in Kellen Moore, I trust.
63:01I didn't know it was going to look like this through three weeks.
63:05I didn't know he's going to go on the road to Baltimore and dice him up like that.
63:11I didn't know he was going to be basically, what is he?
63:14Top two. Was he QB one? Is he QB three?
63:18He's up. I think he's QB three right now.
63:21Right. I know it was going to look like that.
63:24And it was basically, it was basically the saints either have their quarterback or Tyler Shook comes out and stumbles and whoever
63:31they get, it's going to be amazing because of Kellen Moore and Tyler Shook has done the opposite of stumble.
63:37Right. So, so I, you've been, you've been, you, we haven't been together in a few weeks, but Casey will tell you, I've been, I've been singing.
63:46I've been yelling from the, from the mountaintops about how, uh, you, you were real aggressive about the, about the saints offense early on.
63:53And that was, I mean, that was a phenomenal shout because I mean, I was, we're all, we're all like, all right, it's trending up.
64:01It's, it looks good. It looks good. Right. But the way that it looks now is like, we're not to the finished
64:08product because we're going to get Jordan Tyson here in the next three, two or three weeks.
64:14That adds a little, that adds another layer to it.
64:17That's, Hey, we're going to get some Chris Alave singled up with some guys and it could get aggressive.
64:23And then you gotta, then you gotta deal with Jordan Tyson.
64:27You gotta deal with, you gotta deal with Juwan Johnson.
64:30They figure out what the hell to do with the run game.
64:34Like it could get, it could get real drew breeze ish very quickly and it's going to make people very uncomfortable, but that's where we are now.
64:42So I, I just wanted to, I told Casey when we first started, uh, when we like, we'd done a couple of
64:49shows, I mean, we're three weeks in, but we had done it.
64:53I was like, yeah, it's like, I talked to big call.
64:57I'm gonna tell him that this, that was a, it was a fucking phenomenal call.
65:02So shout out to you for that. But I don't think that he'll ever have to go through.
65:07I don't think he'll go through these Drake may style growing pains because his head coach isn't an asshole.
65:13Uh, and his offensive coordinator isn't like a, you know, his offensive coordinator is like, Hey man, what do you like?
65:20Instead of like, this is my system and this is how I do it, which is an element, I think of what's going on with Drake may.
65:29Um, sure. Also not having, not having Stefan digs is kind of the easy button working out of the slot.
65:35That's, that's what I saw. You go from Stefan digs to Mario Douglas, Mario Douglas, fine player.
65:41But as Will Campbell once said, Hey, you give up 12 sex, you'd be working at Amazon.
65:46Not that there's anything wrong with that, but when you're here, like, yeah, there's just a, there's just a difference there.
65:53So I think you just got to with Tyler Shuck.
65:56It's found money because he was a second round rookie pick beyond that.
66:00He is, you know, he's operating this offense at a really, really high level.
66:05And it's just like, Hey, when you, when you do the right stuff by a young quarterback, you can get explosive results like this.
66:12So we're all just, I mean, we're all just happy as can be for the guys that have Tyler Shuck and the
66:19guys that, you know, on the redraft side, if you got them, Oh my God.
66:24And Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson's awesome. Fantastic. Fantastic.
66:27One last thing. You know what? There is also going to be shift.
66:31The saints don't need a quarterback. So now they're just free as a chamber.
66:36Well, and you know, we'll be, we, we, we talk about the dolphins and start this off.
66:41Like they're, they're, they're jammed up with a salary issue.
66:44Like the saints have been jammed up with some salary issues and Kellen Moore hasn't even really had a huge opportunity to
66:51come in here and really put his fingertips and mold this thing because they've been, they pushed that drew breeze era and Derek car era.
66:59They pushed things down the line for a while.
67:02And they had to, you know, at some point they had to, you know, pay the piper and they've been doing that.
67:09And so, you know, they have some older play like this, this team should have quite the comeuppance generally.
67:15And I think offensively we're already, they've already done it.
67:18And I want to switch to wide receivers and talk to about a lobby, but the real he came out here and
67:26he, he asked if, you know, we might as well hit some cam ward because he threw some ducats at the boys
67:33here and asked if camel board is on the T law arc.
67:36Thanks fellas. So if we look at, I was planning on getting off QBs, but Hey, we got it.
67:42We got it. We got to do what the people want here.
67:46So cam ward, uh, currently 40% exposure on Tyler Shook and underdog, by the way.
67:51I mean, that's, that's, that's a real good feeling.
67:54Yeah. Dimes for Shook wolf now, but I mean, before he was playing and you needed a quarterback and dimes, by the
68:01way, it was a top, I don't know, six, seven, five quarterback through the period when we had, so it was great
68:08until he got hurt, but yes, now it's gross.
68:11Um, yes, for sure. That's certainly not the way momentarily, but 75% exposure in the, uh, super flex leaks on underdog winning
68:18championships and, and scored a lot of points this year too.
68:21So, you know, uh, in your pipe and smoke it.
68:25Yeah. So I think we got to yield the, well, actually maybe we'll, you know, I wouldn't mind.
68:30I don't think I've heard big co talk about cam ward of the Titans at all yet.
68:36Um, this football season. Um, but currently Stan, him and Stan took a big old dump.
68:41Oh, on both of them. Haven't did not haven't listened.
68:44Just, I actually stood up for, for cam ward.
68:47I think he's a great by low, just a Murfreesboro meat missile of just straight poop.
68:52Oh my God. No, I'm kidding. It was look, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not gonna lie to you.
68:58This is again, everything I just said about Drake may you've got to, we can, we just exercise a little bit of
69:05goddamn patience when it comes to, when it comes to number one, overall quarterbacks.
69:10Like I could see, I could see if I could see if it was just him just going out there and Jamarcus
69:17rustling this shit up, but it's like, he's clearly trying to trying to play in this very finite box, which is also,
69:24Hey, I don't want to get, I don't want to get killed in the pocket because that's what I had to adjust to last year.
69:32Our offensive line has been second and pass block win rate as a whole throughout the first three weeks of the season.
69:39And he's been a little skittish in the pocket.
69:42He's got to get better. We all see that.
69:45We all know that, but we're talking about a 15 to one touchdown interception ratio over his last 15 games.
69:51We're talking about a guy who hadn't turned the ball over at all over the course of the first three games, three
69:58weeks until he threw that fucking McChicken to what's his face?
70:02Javon Bullard on the last play of the game.
70:04And that was an inexcusable throw. The biggest thing right now that I see with cam Ward, cause I've watched, like, I
70:12just enjoy things that make, cause me great pain and emotional, emotional damage.
70:16So I've watched like every single fucking drop back of his.
70:19And the biggest thing is just, he's not like his fundamentals are off.
70:23Like he's not setting his feet and throwing. Like he missed Carnell Tate wide open for a touchdown the week before against
70:30the, against the, uh, against the Eagles, he bails out of the pocket.
70:35If he steps up in the pocket, it's a 45 yard touchdown to Carnell Tate.
70:39Like there's plays available. And then the error of young quarterbacks is just sometimes things like you're not patient enough, or sometimes you're too patient.
70:47Like it's, it's finding that balance. But again, you're not playing enough.
70:51You're not practicing enough to, to get through enough of the reps, especially in a new system like if it still looks
70:58really shitty at the end of October, I got to put my hands up and say, Hey man, it's just not going to happen.
71:06But right now is, you know, we're not like, he hasn't taken any, any, he hasn't had, he hasn't taken any hardly
71:13any deep shots, anything over 20 yards, like the off schedule stuff just isn't there.
71:18He's missing, he's missing easy throws. It's just not, it's just not clicking right now.
71:23And I don't think that one, here's the thing.
71:25You can't fucking bench him because you're going to put Mitchell Trubisky in.
71:30Like, are you, are you kidding me right now?
71:32If you, if you decide to do that as an organization, everybody's getting fucking fired.
71:37Everybody like the GM, the coach, everybody's getting fired.
71:40You put Mitchell Trubisky in over there, over cam ward.
71:43Everybody's getting fired. You're 0 and 3. What's the worst you can do?
71:47Be 0 and 6? Oh, you're not benching him.
71:50Yeah, no, no. That's what I'm saying. Well, there's not, they are, they are already asking these questions and it's, you know,
71:57I don't, I don't, I don't really understand it.
72:00And I mean, the people asking those questions will probably, you know, took a little too much.
72:06Their parents probably took a little too much Tylenol when they were pregnant with them.
72:11You get what I'm saying? They're riding a bus.
72:13They're riding a bus. They're got a class. They're in classrooms with three people in them and somebody's wearing a helmet from time to time.
72:21Yeah. I don't, I don't understand why you would be, I don't understand the crowdsource ranking currently.
72:27I'm surprised he hasn't been down a little, isn't down a little further than kind of what we're seeing right now.
72:34But you know why, how Jared golf is not ahead of him, I guess age maybe, but yeah, I mean, generally like
72:41I missed a decent amount of football this week.
72:43I have been slowly catching up on it because I was at the music festival hanging out with the wife, but he
72:50missed, he missed one to, to the rookie this week too.
72:54Yeah. That's what I'm saying. He missed. So week two, he missed a, I saw that one.
72:59I mean, I watched that one. My wife's an Eagles fan.
73:03So yeah. Eagles always get a screen. Yeah. And then in week three, he missed an easy one in the end zone.
73:10Like, it's just like a literal lollipop. Just five yard dinker.
73:14Furthermore, like I'm very intrigued by the Titans. So I, they usually do get a screen until like the ball game.
73:20I mean, I liked it. This is the kind of stuff that I like though.
73:25Like I like, I mean, I don't weeds on like, listen, the Titans are just simply the worst franchise in football right now.
73:32That's it. Like, that's all this comes down to, to me.
73:36Like you have to solve that problem first before the quarterback can dig you out of it.
73:41Like that's, that's it. And that's all like, it's institutional to me.
73:45Well, let me, so they almost beat the Eagles in week two.
73:49And there was a part in that game where he played extremely, he was accurate.
73:54He was confident. They, that they, yes, all of that.
73:57Like, and then they go to the giants when the giants are trying their best to get over the Jackson dart injury.
74:04They've had a week to digest it now to come into the game and say, okay, we're going to, we need a plan that doesn't involve Jackson dart.
74:13And oh, by the way, defense step up and make it real hard on the, you know, young quarterback.
74:19So we can get a dub and go to two to one.
74:23And then they played in the worst weather game of the week.
74:27It was, it was almost as bad as the bears Vikings the week before.
74:31And so they played in the slop, absolute slop against the giants who needed a dub quarterbacks out for the year.
74:38And Harbaugh had them ready to play in the slop.
74:41And they, and just, I don't think the story, you can't write the story on cam ward right this second.
74:48I don't know. That'd be, that'd be the wrong way to play it.
74:52Well, here's the thing. We're about five plays away from being two and one.
74:56So that's what I'm saying. And that's what I'm saying.
74:59But that's the, that's the fickle nature of the beast in the NFL.
75:04And with the 24 hour news, this is why I say we got to be thermostat, not thermometer guys, because like, if
75:11you're not watching football, if you're looking at spreadsheets and I'm like, Oh, his average net area, his per attempt is 33rd amongst 32 starting quarterbacks.
75:19You see how I did that? That's funny. Yeah.
75:22Like, like if you're doing all that dumb shit, then yeah, you're going to miss out on the fact that like, yeah.
75:29Okay. So it's a little inconsistent, but most young quarterbacks are really inconsistent for like, I've been here for a year and a half now.
75:37And I've been saying for the longest time, like, Hey, Bryce Young's actually good.
75:41Like you just have to give him, like, you have to give him the tools to succeed.
75:47He's not a Cam Newton style guy. He's not a Joe burrow where he can just like, he just has it to
75:54where he can elevate every single person around him.
75:57And they gave him fucking Jamar chase, by the way, like he's not one of those guys.
76:02You're going to have to surround him with elements that could lead to his success.
76:07You got to leave a little breadcrumbs, lead him down the path of success.
76:11Trevor Lawrence. Again, you had that fucktard Scott Barrett being like, Oh, well, he's not a starting quarterback in the league.
76:18I just get, I get so sick. I get so sick and tired.
76:22He's trolling. That's all he's doing. Oh yeah. I realized, I realized that he's trolling sometimes, but sometimes they'll do stuff like the Caleb Williams thing last year.
76:31And it's like, you're, you're intentionally. He's over two on good quarterback.
76:35So let's leave the quarterback evaluation to somebody else.
76:38So, so what, like, seriously though, I just, I just want to live in a world where we can just be a
76:45little bit measured where it's like, Hey, I, is he playing well right now?
76:49No. Is he capable of playing better? Yes. Do I think he'll play better?
76:54Yes. Yeah. And that's the answer. Change. Like, have you guys forgotten what it's like to watch Mitchell Trubisky play football?
77:01No, because I haven't. Everybody forgets about the backup quarterback so fast.
77:04And look, we'll, we'll wrap this up on, on the quarterbacks with this of just like, and unless you guys, anybody wants
77:11one other quick aside, but it's the hardest position to play.
77:15And I think it's the hardest position to evaluate because so much goes into it, you know?
77:20And so like, I just, I, I pumped the brakes.
77:24I I've liked what the, what the guy has to offer as far as from, from, you know, shoulders up.
77:30And I think the tools are there. He's got some of that magicianship to him.
77:35Like it's just, to me, this is institutional issue at the moment and confidence.
77:39Right. And like, we just told, we talked about Trevor at one point, like making the throws now, like there was times
77:46just throughout his career where confidence wavered. Um, and you know, we've seen some moments of confidence and I think day ball
77:53is, is a guy who can at least get the ship heading in the right direction with cam ward.
77:59I think Sal will get the defense in, in, in a decent shape.
78:04Sal is somebody who just consistently for whatever reason to get shit on.
78:08But like, I think he's an okay head coach.
78:11I don't know if he's great or not yet, but, um, I think, I think, I think we need to just wait a minute.
78:18Uh, so anyways, the last thing that I'll say, the last thing I'll say is this, like, we still were dealing with,
78:25with these questions about Caleb Williams, the first month of the season last year.
78:30And now, like, how did that turn out? Like you were dealing with those same questions, 12 games in the Jordan, 13 games in the Jordan loves.
78:38And now inaugural year starting. Like, let's just not.
78:41And the bears have, you know, the best, maybe the best, one of the best, you know, minds in football.
78:48And it's kind of the talent. Yeah. That's with, that's with Ben Johnson.
78:52It didn't look, it didn't look phenomenal with Ben Johnson to start out of the gate.
78:57Same thing with Trevor Lawrence. First eight weeks of the year.
79:01It was like, Oh man, I don't know. See, I told you guys, he stinks.
79:05I told you. And now like, dude's playing like a freaking MVP.
79:09Yeah. Like, yeah. Sam Darnold's stuck for years. Well, he's terrible.
79:13Yeah. How'd that work out? Yeah. I mean, Baker Mayfield, same thing.
79:17I mean, both were institutional failures. Come on, man.
79:19Here we are. All right. In the transition here, we'll, we'll hit some wide receiver rankings here.
79:25And there's, I know, uh, Jake, Jacob's V2 kind of had a question in there.
79:30So we'll all transition from that into, I want to get a little wide receiver rankings in before we call it a
79:37night, but see Morse two 31 says Eagles fans and Niners fans in the same house is rough.
79:42Uh, it was in our marriage vows, uh, to be kind to each other when the Eagles lose and when the Niners
79:50lose and when we play each other. So, um, I swear to God, big, I was there.
79:55It was, he's not lying. We both had to say, I do to that.
79:59That's incredible. Hey, we're 16 years in 10 years of marriage.
80:03Had a great time at the music festival. Um, had a, had a blast.
80:07It was awesome. It was an Emmanuel Sanders. Fuck.
80:10He was, you know, he was there. He was open.
80:13The amount of holding the chiefs got away with that.
80:17Not super bowl. Still drives me nuts. Um, anyhow.
80:20All right. Let's shoot over to some wide receiver questions and we'll use this as a transition or at least some talk about some rankings for a second.
80:29Uh, much love fellas. Have a good team. Off to a rough start.
80:33Oh, and three, not panicking yet, but would you entertain Rome and two 27 seconds for Garrett Wilson?
80:38You giving it? What are you getting Garrett Wilson?
80:41Uh, I don't, I'm not, I'm not selling Garrett Wilson for Roman two twos.
80:46Not happening. If I can acquire Garrett Wilson for Roman two twos, I pull the trigger.
80:51I'd give it. I'm not taking it. Right. You know, always.
80:54That's why I said always. Oh, um, did you see the penics pause?
80:59Of course. Oh, so good, man. Pause. Wait a minute.
81:02I can't even say pause. Oh yeah. Good. Yeah.
81:05You got to say pause or something like that.
81:08Hang on now. Hang on now. I mean, it's we, here's the thing.
81:12Like I, I have a, I'm a firm believer in Rome.
81:15We saw it through eight games. We saw it.
81:18We've had some injuries. He's probably a little injured.
81:21The bear situation is kind of weird right now.
81:24Offensively. Like nothing is how we thought it would be.
81:27I think she makes up a good point. Eventually it will.
81:31It was always Garrett Wilson though. That, that right.
81:33It was always Garrett Wilson anyway. Well, what I, right.
81:37And if it would have continued for Rome last year, the way it did through the first eight and ended the way
81:44it did for Loveland, then maybe we would have a conversation where this is a little closer and we'd be surviving some of this.
81:51And this would be kind of talking about how Garrett will, but right now the talk is, is, Oh, imagine that we got a mediocre, decent quarterback.
82:00Who, and the guy who's calling okay plays offensive line.
82:03That's relatively healthy and okay. Run game. And Garrett Wilson's a stud, you know?
82:08So, I mean, always been a stud. He's just somebody who consistently has been like, well, when do we give up on Garrett Wilson?
82:15The answer was never. Yeah. Um, it just, you know, he was crushing last year with fields.
82:21The first couple of games, like you just need somebody who could throw him the ball.
82:26Uh, and, and, and we're man, I don't know what's going to happen in between Gino and whoever else is next.
82:33Um, but this, this is working and I, I tend to agree with you.
82:37So, yeah, it's just, uh, so again, like these, you have these cannon events, like him getting hurt, opened up an opportunity
82:44for Loveland to take a step forward, like burden to take a step forward.
82:49And now it's just kind of, they're trying to, they're trying to figure it out, but they're just, I think Ben Johnson
82:56has put an onus on like, Hey, let's take the easiest, let's take the easiest path to points possible.
83:02Don't force anything. I've got all the answers written out for you.
83:06If you'll just take the easy answer, we're going to score a shit ton of points.
83:11And then we're going to be able to dictate where the ball goes and when, but this is all kind of set up.
83:18Cause that's, I mean, that's how Ben Johnson calls his games.
83:22This is all set up for like the third and fourth quarter of the season.
83:26Hey, if you can't stop, if you can't stop this easy shit right now, like, of course you're not game planning for Kalief Raymond.
83:34You're game planning for our fucking 10th overall pick tight end.
83:38Yeah. Yeah. Take them away. Take them away. We're going to score 50.
83:42We're going to put fucking 60 on you. How do you feel about that?
83:46You feel good about taking them away now? How'd that work out for you?
83:51Yeah. Like, yeah, I, I think that this is just a different level of psychological warfare from a person that you know is a true sicko.
83:59Well, I mean, we, we see this all like, I mean, this is what these guys talk about though.
84:05Like, you know, you gotta get, you don't want to show all your cards and we got to get through this portion of the season.
84:13You know, it's almost like the preseason where we're trying to be vanilla and you know, we're kind of in phase one,
84:20then we're going to go to phase two and we're trying, we're trying to stay right through this as well or get our guys right.
84:28Um, so, all right. Who would be the big, big code?
84:32Do you want to get out of here? Yeah.
84:34My knee just busted up on me for no reason at all.
84:38I'm getting old boys. Well, if you want to jump out, he's hurting and I didn't do anything.
84:44Jump out, but I'm going to pose the question of what, what receiver has jumped the highest so far in dynasty rankings for you, for you fellas here?
84:53What receiver has jumped the highest? Yeah. Like, is it, is it, is it, is a, obviously we've missed some debt time
85:00was able to have gotten like one great quarter from flowers, but it's like, Oh, love.
85:05They would be somebody like, so where does it like as a lava, where, where does a lava workers up?
85:12Parker's up 22 spots. Yeah. Parker's up 22 spots.
85:14It's going to be crystal lava, but probably belongs where we're either.
85:18That's not a big enough jump though. So it's Parker Washington.
85:22Yeah. Quantity of jump or, or like high up in the rankings.
85:26I think, you know, quantity is what that sounded like.
85:29Olave is, he's still in cornerstone range. Has a lava basically moved himself into like a cornerstone type of player right now?
85:36Yeah. We're talking buckets. Yeah. How are we, how could you not like we're over?
85:41We would rather, we like, if we start up this next year, you know, and a lot of is 27, are you taking them above big booker?
85:49Are you taking them above Ted row McMillan? Yes.
85:52You taking them above George Pickens? Yes. Oh yeah.
85:55Yeah. That's a locked in 160 targets with a, with a guy on the other side.
86:00That's going to command. Oh, you have a, you have a guy who's got all the traits of the T like of another elite wide receiver.
86:09And you're locking Chris Alave into at least 150 targets.
86:12There's zero reason why you should be, why he shouldn't be in that cornerstone, that cornerstone echelon, like him and Drake London
86:19back to back right by each other. Like they were during draft season, 2024.
86:23But there's just, there's no reason to not do it.
86:26I like it. All right. I mean, it's just, he's, he's just doing elite stuff all the time.
86:32I mean, if the, if the health is there, then we're, then we're, we got to consider him up there with, with all those types of dudes.
86:41I mean, you, you mentioned Parker Washington is up a bunch of spots here.
86:45Like if, if we, if obviously we were, we're on, we could do a lot of on pace stuff, but he's seemingly
86:52going to be the wide receiver one for them.
86:55I mean, like we're taking, are we taking them above Devonta Smith?
86:59He's 24 years old. You got to. Lad McConkie.
87:02I would. I mean, you know, who are you talking about?
87:05Parker Washington. Washington. Oh yeah. I'll take Parker over.
87:08I'd go, I'd go all the way up to right behind Zay Flowers.
87:13Do you take him over Carnell Tate? Yes. I can do that too.
87:17Without, without, without a single solitary question. I mean, we can't put any respect on Luther's name right now.
87:23I mean, it's not, it's not about, it's not about, it's not about like the guys behind him not being good.
87:29One, one, I said some dude in the comments before the season started, when I said that Parker Washington is going to
87:36be in the same, the same tier as Garrett Wilson, he was like, what?
87:41This is the worst tape that I've ever heard.
87:44I hope that you're listening right now because suck it nerd.
87:47Yeah. Suck it nerd. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Parker Washington does have a better coach than 99% of the league.
87:53That's what factors into this too. Right. It works.
87:56It's working right now. And it's, it's not going anywhere.
88:00He's about to get paid and the quarterbacks there and the coach ain't going to go anywhere anytime soon.
88:06That's, that's exactly what you're looking for. That environment to move forward with and try to keep whatever points you're getting right now.
88:13That makes you so happy. How can you consistently, who's, who's going to keep getting those?
88:18And that's going to happen for Parker Washington. And this setup, that's going to keep coming.
88:23The, um, uh, Chris, a lobby for concussions. And he's wearing a fancy hat.
88:28Like that's going to keep coming outside. If, if, if, if it's not a concussion, it's a lobby.
88:33Right. So like, that's going to keep coming. Shuck saints, kill him more.
88:38Everything. God. Oh my God. Oh, I was not prepared for that.
88:41Yeah. I mean, obviously we, I think, I think we're about to see a big emergence of Zay flowers as long as we can get these hammies.
88:50Right. Right. Thanks. All right, boys. I'm out on that one.
88:54Right. George can stand it. I made you laugh.
88:56I'm out. That's it. That's it. That's you. That's it.
89:00You're good. We'll kick it for another couple of minutes here.
89:03Uh, and then we'll, we'll close up shop, but Zay flowers.
89:07Looks like he's going to emerge. We need to obviously see a little bit more on the field, staying on the field here.
89:14Um, but the first couple of weeks have been, you know, the first week was awesome.
89:19Then this week we had another good week. Seems to be good to go.
89:24Um, so he's going to be climbing up dynasty charts.
89:27Uh, I think John, some, somebody said that he'd put Parker Washington above Zay too, because of age.
89:33That's fine. I mean, I think they're, they're kind of close enough.
89:36Yeah. Zay is what year, year and a half.
89:39This is saying 24 and a half to 26, basically.
89:43Yeah. It's not a factor for me at this point.
89:46Yeah. I don't, I don't think too, too much, but I mean, I certainly could see similar outcomes from, from a point scoring situation.
89:53Um, how about Rashi rice? Where does Rashi rice fall in the spectrum of a lot of, a lot of talkings about
90:00Rashi, about how he stinks and this and that, uh, stinks.
90:04And I hate him, you know, and talks of whether or not he's going to be a chief or, or, you know,
90:11or not, you know, that that's TBD. I see, I tend to lean on the fact that he will be a chief
90:18because the chiefs are, you know, they'll take the risk and they'll give him money and he's been around and they kind
90:25of know what he is and they know how to use them.
90:29Patrick obviously likes him, knows how to use them.
90:32If he plays, he usually scores fantasy points. I don't really understand why everyone's tries to just shit on this guy.
90:38You can shit on him for the, for the human being things that he's done of not being very smart about, uh,
90:46protecting the bag as you would say. Um, but I don't know to me, he's kind of been, you know, with the
90:53off season stuff, it's, it's hard to say that, you know, you, I can't say with any conviction to say I'm all
91:00in on buying as much Rashi rice as I can, but I was before there was any of that going on and
91:07nobody would have been selling him because he was so damn productive.
91:10Um, and now we're getting further and further away from an injury.
91:14Um, and you know, Kelsey looks good and the homes looks fucking awesome.
91:18Um, so all that tells me is that, you know, life is about to get way easier for all the past catchers in Kansas city.
91:26And I think you're about to really reap some Rashi benefits here down the line.
91:31And I think, you know, I be hard pressed for me to go through games and not saying six is like, uh,
91:38uh, you know, six, six targets is not your, what is going to be, you know, your average bottom for Rashi rice.
91:45We're in, we're in peak where she writes season right now.
91:49And I think the blue birds are coming out.
91:52No, pull that back up real quick. Pull it back up real quick.
91:56So, I mean, we've steadily seen the ramp up.
91:59Obviously we knew you should have known that coming off of the knee injury.
92:03And then once they gave Kenneth Walker, the ball four straight plays, we're not going to get a lot of Rashi rice tonight, guys.
92:11Nobody got the ball a lot. Kelsey might have, but right.
92:14Like we're not, we're not going to get a lot.
92:18We're not going to get a whole lot of, uh, Rashi rice tonight.
92:22And it's, it's slowly ramped up six targets in week two, nine targets in week three.
92:27And it's going to start to, it's going to start to get back to that volume.
92:32He is still the primary. He's still the primary option in the short passing game.
92:37I mean, Kelsey looks like he drank from the fountain of youth.
92:41I don't know. Uh, what's it, what's her face getting married.
92:44He's got a secret supply of adrenochrome now that he has just on tap.
92:49Like if she's got some doctors, some doctors that they just don't have access to at the NFL level because she's a billionaire, but he looks phenomenal.
92:57Like you said, it's just going to get a lot easier.
93:01So for Rashi rice, the issue is just from a dynasty perspective, what happens if he's not a Kansas city chief?
93:08Because yeah, everyone assumes that there's, this is the only team that likes to use.
93:12What's funny. What's funny, Casey is so the Ravens and the Ravens in the Ravens in the chiefs played opening night a couple of years ago.
93:21And that was where she writes is basically like breakout game.
93:24You saw him do all the things and be matched up on linebackers.
93:28Well, now the Ravens are using Zay flowers in the exact same fashion.
93:32And you see how good it is from a fantasy perspective.
93:36So the role, like the way that he's used, isn't just, it's not just systemic to the chiefs.
93:42It's not like he can go somewhere else. And if they're willing to use him like that, he's going to score fantasy points.
93:49It's just for me, like when football is not getting played, I don't know that he values his freedom as much as we do as dynasty managers.
93:58Yes. And that's completely a fair take on him.
94:01I, I, I really don't understand the, um, you know, I guess, I guess basically you're just calling them a volume merchant
94:08essentially, which is, you know, kind of what you want your number one receiver to be, uh, generally be fed on your team.
94:15Hey, Drake London. I don't like that guy. He gets too much volume.
94:19Yeah. Yeah. Like what? And he, you know, he's just, it's close to like he, Rashi rice can, uh, you know, SMU,
94:26he used to take the top off defenses. That's what I'm saying.
94:30Like he has, and I've said this, I said this, if you go week two, 2024, I know Ian, Ian Harditz will
94:37always post the Rashi rice touchdowns of 20 plus air yards.
94:41And it's literally just one play and it's 2024 week two against the Bengals up the left sideline.
94:46He just runs, he runs a, he runs a go route and he burns, uh, whoever their good DB is for a long touchdown cam Taylor Britt.
94:55So like, I don't really, he can do things.
94:58What he's being used for now is not what they could, what they could see.
95:03What is, what is possibly right? I agree. I think they know, they are comfortable with using them in these ways and
95:10they know how to use them and it works, uh, for what they've been doing, but they've also been running an offense that's been hindered by the coverage.
95:19Right. So it's, but they were basically like, Hey, we don't want the chiefs to get over the top on us and
95:26we don't need to, because now we can just kind of stay in the shell.
95:31Right. With like cover, the coverage was being dictated to them because they couldn't run the ball and they didn't run the ball.
95:38And now they're going to run the ball, which is going to change the outcome.
95:43I think of how Rashi rice can score and where his availability on the field is going to become easier and easier, I think.
95:50So that's, you know, kind of why, um, you know, yeah, I'm with you.
95:55Like I, like I said, it's just, if we didn't have the off the field concerns, this would be a no brainer.
96:02He'd be in a totally different tier and you would have the, well, he's just a, he's just a slot merchant or whatever.
96:09Right. You have those dumb ass talks and it's not like you're like, Hey, he scores a lot of fantasy points.
96:16Let's just, let's just shut up about it. Yeah.
96:19Well, where would we, where would, is, is, is a, is wide receiver 25 ish a good, you think that that's probably
96:26a fair ranking for Rashi rice currently, right? That's that's, that is turning the sliders up on his off field risk to the max.
96:34Okay. All right. There's no, there's no world where he plays and he's healthy and he's just out there scoring points where he's not wide receiver 25.
96:42I mean, where he's not beating wide receiver 25.
96:45Excuse me. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right. You ready to wrap this thing up for today?
96:50Yeah, let's do it. Appreciate everybody for tuning in.
96:53If we didn't get your questions, come back in next time.
96:57We'll get them. Uh, we're going to get back to using the website for fielding questions as well here.
97:03Um, but I appreciate everybody tuning in. Uh, like I said, I don't know if you can see this up here, but,
97:10uh, over 1 million swipes on the community dynasty rankings there.
97:13So we're, we're, we're well underway to getting ourselves a foothold.
97:17Um, and we're constantly again, improving and trying to make this site work the best it can.
97:22Again, there are two guys basically doing this entire site.
97:25Um, and one of them is Jason who edits all the video.
97:29So he's, he's got a whole bunch of stuff going on in season.
97:33So shout out to those guys. Uh, you know, if there is any problems, please tell us, we want to know about them.
97:41Like that's going to be a big part of it.
97:44We can't be everywhere all at once, all the time.
97:47Um, it's very, very difficult. Uh, but we're excited about where the website's going.
97:52We're excited about the resource that it provides to you.
97:55And we're, we're constantly working and building new tools in the background.
97:59So a lot of good stuff coming. Appreciate you guys.
98:02We'll be back, uh, every Wednesday from here on the rest of the season.
98:06So keep it locked in. Keep it coming on stream tonight.
98:10Appreciate you. We'll catch you next week. 830. Peace.
98:13Wednesdays.
