Braelon Allen

NegativeUsage33:28

Despite a 100% opportunity share, Braylon Allen failed to produce fantasy value because the Jets' offense failed to fire, but Matt Kelley suggests there is no reason to regret the process of starting him.

Insight page
PositiveUsage35:10

Braylon Allen is a high-priority target despite a poor team performance in Week 4; he commanded a 100% opportunity share and effectively a 100% snap share, proving his role is secure regardless of the Jets' offensive struggles.

Insight page
PositiveUsage62:44

Matt Kelley recommends bidding aggressively on Braylon Allen, citing his 100% opportunity share as a reason to keep him in lineups.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveValue54:35

Matt Kelley identifies Brock Purdy as a buy-high candidate, citing his elite efficiency (0.6 EPA per play) and arguing he is not yet perceived as the elite talent he truly is.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeUsage24:15

Matt Kelley admits that playing Bucky Irving was a mistake, noting that his usage trends shifted negatively toward Kenneth Gainwell with the backup quarterback under center.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveValue55:45

Matt Kelley labels Carnell Tate a buy-neutral player, noting his elite 30% target share—comparable to Puka Nacua and Drake London—despite a lack of touchdowns suppressing his fantasy points.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

NegativeBust52:01

Chris Godwin is suffering from a loss of athleticism and explosiveness due to a history of lower-body injuries, fitting the 'Tara McLaurin corollary' for players entering their 30s.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveUsage17:07

Matt Kelley highlights the Carolina backfield as a prime example of touch consolidation, with Chuba Hubbard being a key beneficiary of the team's concentrated offensive distribution.

Insight page
PositiveUsage38:42

With no competition from Jalen Coker, Ligot, or Jonathan Brooks, Chuba Hubbard is the primary beneficiary of the backfield opportunity consolidation.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveValue70:24

Matt Kelley names Colston Loveland the best buy-low candidate across all formats, noting his consistent red zone usage and projecting him to be the second most productive tight end behind Brock Bowers.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

NegativeBust50:06

Cortland Sutton is considered 'dust' as he turns 31, evidenced by a poor one-catch performance on six targets in Week 4.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

NegativeUsage68:55

Matt Kelley defends starting Deandre Swift in week four as a 'great process play' despite the poor outcome, noting that the matchup against the Jets remains a factor.

Insight page

Darius Cooper

PositiveSleeper56:48

Matt Kelley suggests adding Darius Cooper everywhere as a dynasty stash, noting the team's high regard for him, though he was not an obvious start for the previous week.

Insight page
NegativeValue61:44

Matt Kelley advises against chasing Darius Cooper in seasonal leagues because he is currently a wide receiver three/four; he is better suited as a dynasty stash due to his talent and positive team buzz.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeValue42:47

Matt Kelley suggests staying away from David Montgomery, citing concerns about the Houston offensive line and the team's inability to function as a consistent running offense.

Insight page
NegativeBust53:39

David Montgomery is a 'value trap' due to the Houston Texans' poor offensive line, which prevents him from operating effectively. Matt Kelley regrets drafting him and advises against buying him.

Insight page
PositiveValue63:12

Matt Kelley explicitly warns against buying low on David Montgomery, suggesting that Emmanuel Wilson is the superior back to target for production in the coming weeks.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveProjection45:22

Derrick Henry is delivering elite production, averaging 25 fantasy points per game.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection70:54

Matt Kelley praises Drake May for his performance against the Bills, noting that he validated his Josh Allen comparison on PlayerProfiler by remaining competitive despite a lack of receiving talent.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

PositiveUsage10:37

Emmanuel Wilson has become the focal point of the Seahawks' offense, with touches consolidating around him and JSN as the team struggles to maintain competitive game scripts.

Insight page
PositiveUsage58:02

Matt Kelley recommends aggressively adding Emmanuel Wilson off the waiver wire, as he is a primary back on a team with a great offensive line and favorable game scripts.

Insight page
PositiveUsage62:02

Matt Kelley identifies Emmanuel Wilson as the top waiver wire priority, projecting him to serve as a primary back for several weeks while Zach Charbonnet recovers from a leg injury; he expects Wilson to outproduce David Montgomery.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeBust50:16

J.K. Dobbins is no longer the efficient player he was last year, with his success rate dropping to 25% and fantasy points per snap declining to 0.23. His history of lower-body injuries is cited as the primary cause for his loss of explosiveness.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

NegativeProjection42:55

Matt Kelley notes that while Jameis Winston threw three touchdowns, he was less efficient and threw more interceptions than the backup quarterback, suggesting his performance was not as strong as the box score implies.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveProjection45:27

Javonte Williams is trending upward, coming off a performance that brought his average to 20 fantasy points per game.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

PositiveUsage11:54

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is seeing his role consolidate alongside Emmanuel Wilson as the primary options in the Seahawks' offense.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeBust35:35

Despite being named the starter, Jalen Wright is viewed as a 'slasher' who lacks the size and versatility of Ollie Gordon. His 10% route participation rate in Week 4 compared to Gordon's 45% suggests he is not the preferred long-term asset.

Insight page
NegativeDepth Chart41:58

Matt Kelley questions why Jalen Wright is being named the starter over Ollie Gordon, noting that Wright is not the same caliber of receiver or between-the-tackles runner as Gordon.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveUsage45:34

Despite a Week 4 dip, Jeremiah Love's usage is trending toward a high-50s to low-60s opportunity share. Matt Kelley views Week 4 as a blip and expects touchdown production to follow, making him a strong buy.

Insight page

Joe Mixon

NegativeValue63:24

Matt Kelley dismisses Joe Mixon as a fantasy asset, stating he is 'dust' and not worth prioritizing despite reports of him working out.

Insight page

John Metchie

PositiveValue20:54

John Metchie becomes an interesting fantasy option in deep leagues when the Carolina offense consolidates touches, as evidenced by his increased involvement when other receivers are sidelined.

Insight page
NegativeUsage67:11

Matt Kelley suggests considering John Mechie as a startable option if he is operating as a wide receiver two in a game projected to be a shootout.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveUsage8:48

Following the injury to Marcus Mariota, the Colts shifted their offensive strategy to rely heavily on Jonathan Taylor to protect a lead, consolidating touches in his direction.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveValue55:48

Jordan Love is a buy-low candidate after a blip in production caused by the Packers playing with a lead and not needing to be prolific.

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeUsage8:57

Matt Kelley notes that Josh Downs saw his usage drop because the Colts pivoted to a run-heavy approach with Jonathan Taylor after Marcus Mariota left the game.

Insight page
PositiveValue50:21

Matt Kelley maintains that Josh Downs is a buy-low candidate, attributing his recent lack of production to in-game injuries rather than a lack of talent or role.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveUsage30:19

Kenneth Gainwell saw an uptick in usage in the Buccaneers' offense, specifically on dump-off passes, following the shift to a backup quarterback.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

PositiveUsage66:56

Despite a zero-point performance in Week 4, Kenyon Sadiq is a recommended add due to his high snap share and route participation rate, which suggest better production is coming.

Insight page

Keon Coleman

PositiveUsage71:54

Matt Kelley highlights Keon Coleman's 23-point fantasy performance in week four, noting that he was fed targets by Josh Allen in the absence of DJ Moore.

Insight page

Laquon Treadwell

NegativeUsage67:08

Matt Kelley suggests considering Laquan Treadwell as a startable option if he is operating as a wide receiver two in a game projected to be a shootout.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveBreakout51:17

Matt Kelley highlights Malik Nabers' strong metrics, noting his route participation climbed to 91% and his air yards surged to 113 in week four, confirming his status as a top-tier target.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveValue56:28

Matt Kelley classifies Michael Wilson as a buy-neutral player, highlighting his 35% target share over the last two weeks and his consistent red-zone involvement.

Insight page
PositiveValue64:18

Michael Wilson is a buy-neutral/buy-low candidate who is seeing a massive 35% target share over the last two games, despite not finding the end zone in Week 4.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon

PositiveBreakout35:35

Matt Kelley prefers Ollie Gordon over Jalen Wright, citing Gordon's superior size, between-the-tackles ability, and passing game utility. Gordon's route participation rate (45%) significantly outpaced Wright's (10%) in Week 4, making him a strong buy-high candidate.

Insight page
NegativeValue41:51

Matt Kelley advises selling high on Ollie Gordon, noting that fantasy managers are overvaluing him compared to Jalen Wright, despite Gordon's 2,000-yard rushing potential.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

PositiveMatchup69:02

Matt Kelley recommends starting Quinshawn Judkins against the Jets, emphasizing that the matchup is favorable regardless of previous team performance.

Insight page

Rashid Shaheed

NegativeUsage11:57

Rashid Shaheed has failed to produce a spike week because the Seahawks are not being forced into passing situations, limiting the deep-ball opportunities he relies on.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveUsage37:00

Rhamondre Stevenson is dominating the Patriots' backfield with a 59% snap share compared to Travion Henderson's 37%, while nearly doubling Henderson's route participation rate.

Insight page

Roman Wilson

PositiveSleeper43:58

Matt Kelley considers Roman Wilson the best receiver on the Steelers and actively looks for reasons to play him, though he remains a fringe wide receiver three option for now.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

NegativeProjection65:43

Matt Kelley acknowledges Romeo Dobbs is a startable fantasy asset because he operates as the number one receiver in a high-scoring offense, despite questioning his actual talent level.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

NegativeUsage9:02

Despite being in a matchup with a high projected total, Stefan Diggs' fantasy output was limited by the game script and the Colts' shift to a run-heavy offense.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

NegativeValue51:01

Matt Kelley reiterates the thesis to sell high on Travis Kelce, arguing that he is outperforming his target share and benefiting from unsustainable positive touchdown variance.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

NegativeValue53:29

Matt Kelley is moving on from Trevor Lawrence, noting that the Jaguars' reliance on their defense and a strong running game limits Lawrence's fantasy upside.

Insight page
NegativeUsage60:41

Trevor Lawrence is a sell candidate in seasonal leagues because the Jaguars' defense and running game are strong enough to allow the team to sit on leads, limiting his passing volume.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

PositiveUsage51:57

Matt Kelley believes Xavier Worthy remains a potential smash play, arguing that the Rashee Rice injury inadvertently suppressed Worthy's production by forcing Tyquan Thornton into a larger role.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeInjury62:27

Matt Kelley highlights significant muscle atrophy in Zach Charbonnet's surgically repaired leg, noting that his quad is half the size of his healthy leg, which will likely delay his return to a primary role.

0:00Top 10 Takeaways Whoa Whoa Boo Boo Well, that was a week.
0:04That was week four. I hope you all survived and advanced somehow.
0:07I don't know of many of my teams that won their matchups.
0:11Full disclosure, this is the worst week the Podfather has had in fantasy football in a long time.
0:17In a long, long time. Perfectly happy with the usage of a bunch of players that we liked.
0:22Very unhappy with the result almost across the board.
0:25Some good processes, some bad results, but also some bad processes and some bad results.
0:30And yes, there was a little bit of good process, good result along the way.
0:35Yes, that did happen, but it wasn't like week one, two, three.
0:38Right? Week one, two, three, we saw everything coming.
0:41We knew week two would be a shit show as it always is.
0:45And week one, week three, we completely shredded. Nothing was a surprise.
0:49Everything was normal through three weeks of NFL action.
0:52Everybody's talking about how weird this season is and how weird week one was, but it doesn't compare to how weird week two was.
0:59And then all week three was such a weird week.
1:02I didn't find anything weird about anything that's happened so far until now, until today.
1:07And there was, there was a signal. It was known that this would be a cataclysmic week for fantasy points scoring, NFL
1:14points scoring, some very smart people with a lot of money to spend with sports books.
1:19They knew it, they knew it. And I found the breadcrumbs leading back to what they knew and how they knew it.
1:26These are the NFL week for betting odds on ESPN.
1:29Okay. The NFL week for betting odds. I think that you'll see something interesting as we scroll down and look through these odds.
1:36Colts commanders opens at 48 and a half close at 48 and a half.
1:40Nothing to see here. All of a sudden, we see jets bears opened at 45 closed at 43 and a half Patriots
1:47bills opened at 49 and a half close at 48 and a half Cardinals giants.
1:52Giants opened at 45 and a half close at 44 and a half Cowboys Texans actually bumped up from when it closed
1:59from when it opened by a point Jags Bengals stayed at 51 and a half the entire week.
2:05Now look at Packers Buccaneers. It opened at 47 and a half.
2:08I couldn't even get my head around this. Like I was like, wait, is that a seven or a five?
2:15That's actually a seven. It opened at 47 and a half.
2:18It closed at 38 and a half when this line opened originally, maybe it was pre Baker Mayfield injury, but it went down even more from there.
2:26Rams Eagles opened at 47 and a half close at 42 and a half.
2:31No quarterback injuries there, right? Titans Ravens. There was a quarterback injury in game.
2:35Lamar Jackson opened at 47 and a half close at 42 and a half dolphins Vikings opened at 43 and a half
2:42closed at 38 and a half on and on and on and on.
2:46We're seeing up to a 10 point correction from when the line opened.
2:50And again, could have opened before the Baker Mayfield injury comes down to 42 and a half after the Baker Mayfield injury
2:57with the, you know, super early lines come out before the games on Sunday have even finished for the following Sunday understood.
3:04And then it corrects and it corrects. Most of these games kept correcting down, kept correcting down those that are studying with
3:11the most computational firepower, finding out, wait a second.
3:13This team is a terrible matchup for that team.
3:16That team is also a terrible matchup for this team.
3:19This team strengths are going right into the teeth of this team's defensive strengths.
3:24So the offensive strength is going up against the defensive strength and it becomes strength against strength.
3:29Or you have a situation where the Packers, they have a strength, which is air yard, pushing the ball downfield.
3:35They're going up against a pass funnel defense in the Buccaneers.
3:39You would think, well, that's, that's strength against weakness.
3:42But then what that's offset by the fact that you need competent quarterback play on the other side to force the Packers to throw it all.
3:50So I loved this idea of the Packers playing the Buccaneers.
3:53If Baker Mayfield were under center, I think that would have been a very different game.
3:58It would have been a prolific Jordan love game.
4:01A lot of interesting stuff. When you look at these lines, it becomes clear that once all the data came in and
4:08all the conclusions were drawn about how these game scripts were going to play out and how the strengths and weaknesses of
4:15the offenses and defense that were matching up in week four, that very smart people with a lot of money to spend
4:22came to the conclusion that most of these games were going to disappoint and that the games where there was going to
4:28be a lot of scoring, it was going to be a lot of random events and outcomes on the field and wouldn't
4:35necessarily affect your fantasy team in a positive way.
4:38So if you had a bad week four, just know that the bookmakers and the smart money saw it coming and you shouldn't feel as bad.
4:46Like I felt much better about this. Like if I woke up very tilted, I went to bed tilted.
4:52I woke up tilted. This was a tilting week.
4:55This was the week. Everyone's talking about every week.
4:58This is the weird week. This was the weird week.
5:01I mean, it started so badly on Sunday morning where we needed Marcus Mariota to stay healthy.
5:06I can't believe I'm saying that out loud, but that's something we needed.
5:10We needed Marcus Mariota to stay healthy. And what, right?
5:13He goes down and then they're bringing in a guy, it's hard to pronounce name.
5:18I'm not even going to try. And they bring in a guy that I've barely heard of.
5:23And of course, what does that mean for what the Colts are going to do?
5:28That just means the Colts are like, okay, we're just going to run Jonathan Taylor.
5:33We don't need to, we don't need to throw the ball to Josh Downs.
5:37And the commanders are like, we'd love to throw the ball to digs if we could.
5:42So us fantasy gamers playing Josh Downs, playing Stefan Diggs with a matchup that was supposed to have a high, a high
5:49total with two pass funnel defenses playing against each other.
5:52This is what you want. It was a 48 and a half point total.
5:56You cannot feel bad if you streamed Daniel Jones or you streamed Marcus Mariota, the two most popular streamers of the week.
6:03Like when we were setting up the plays of the week, I felt bad.
6:08I was like, we're going chalk with these streaming quarterbacks, but I mean, Daniel Jones, there's no better week to play him.
6:15There's no better week to play Marcus Mariota. So when they're both in great situations to play each other, you should just play one of them.
6:23That was the logic that was sound logic. And then Mariota gets hurt in the first half and it's over.
6:29It's finished. It's vaporized. The game becomes just foobard.
6:32You can't worry about it. When injuries happen before the game, that can really help us.
6:37You can find a way to plug in Emmanuel Wilson.
6:40When you hear, Oh, Jadarian Price, he's going to IR.
6:43Oh, where, where, where's, where's Emmanuel Wilson? Where's Emmanuel Wilson?
6:46That news comes out Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening. I had a birthday party to go to.
6:51I'm finding out about this stuff and I, I've had some cocktails and then I got to wake up and do starter stream with Chuck.
6:59And I'm trying to process on this foggy brain.
7:02What is Emmanuel Wilson's upside? This is pretty good, pretty good situation, but also there's George Alani.
7:07Then it depends. Can the Chargers force the Seahawks into passing situations where we're going to see some George Alani or is
7:14it just going to be the Emmanuel Wilson show?
7:17And every single week, I think, well, the talent of this team, it has to find some balance at some point, some
7:23footing where they can at least make it a game where it's not just going to open up 20 to six in the first half.
7:31And you just lean on Emmanuel Wilson, the entire game.
7:34If you've watched football over the past three weeks, that's what you assumed would happen.
7:39But knowing the talent profile of the Chargers offensive line, their quarterback, their weapons, the, this vaunted, esteemed coaching staff, you'd have
7:46to think that, well, they could eventually give the Seahawks a game.
7:50No. And what does that mean? It's the Emmanuel Wilson show touches targets consolidate JSN Emmanuel Wilson.
7:55Maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe you're going to get some Rashid Shaheed, maybe a deep bomb to Rashid Shaheed, but they don't need it.
8:02They don't need it. These teams are not putting the Seahawks in a position where they need to throw the ball down the field as much.
8:10And so Rashid Shaheed has not yet had a spike week, but then again, the Seahawks didn't have to do it last year either.
8:18Seahawks have been in more close games, been playing with a lead less this year than they have been last year, a
8:25lot less this year and still no Rashid Shaheed.
8:27It's just an incredibly different, it's an incredibly difficult team environment for a deep bomb taker, a deep bomb executor, a shot
8:34caller, if you will, in a Rashid Shaheed to have a spike week.
8:38Things really need to line up and they're not.
8:41So really, it's consolidating around Emmanuel Wilson and JSN.
8:44When you find out about these injuries before the game, you can get excited.
8:48When they happen during the game and you're streaming Marcus Mariota, or you're streaming Daniel Jones, all you can do is shake
8:55whatever device you're watching the game on. We found out, thank you to Adam Schefter, by the way, we found out well
9:02before the game, Jalen Coker is unlikely to play.
9:05We found out in the morning. That was so important.
9:08Before Adam Schefter was around, we used to go into Thursday night football wondering whether Jalen Coker was going to play.
9:15And then if you have to sub him out that now your choices are highly limited.
9:20So I want to thank Adam Schefter for letting me know to take Jalen Coker out of all my lineups.
9:26It was actually quite a tedious process to take him out of all my lineups, but I'm glad I did.
9:32Sleeper has this auto sub feature. Use the auto sub feature.
9:35Every time I see a guy is questionable. Even though I thought Jalen Coker was going to play, we assumed he was
9:42going to play, seemed like he was on track to play, didn't play.
9:46It happens, but at least we found out beforehand.
9:49Little less notice with Terry McLaurin because the game is starting at nine 30, but still like, Oh, we have time.
9:56We can, we can get Antonio Williams in lineups in these deep leagues with lots of flex options, especially dynasty leagues.
10:02I'm in a lot of dynasty leagues. As you know, these, all these orphans I took over plugged in some Antonio Williams seemed like a good process play.
10:11He almost scored a touchdown, but his quarterback went down and the game became, Hey, let's watch the Colts sit on a lead with Jonathan Taylor.
10:19And then we're just crumpling up papers and throwing them away.
10:23But before the game, the Carolina game, we knew it was going to be consolidated.
10:27We knew this was Tett McMillan week shift into Ted McMillan overdrive.
10:31It was just a shame that that game wasn't on the main slate.
10:35Oh, if only that game was on the main slate.
10:38Oh baby, Ted McMillan, Ted McMillan, Ted McMillan. And it was the most consolidated touch distribution of the year.
10:44That was the beauty of that game. And then we saw the law of the conservation of touches was on display like
10:51never before in Carolina with this Carolina game. I mean, it was a beautiful thing to watch.
10:56It was a beautiful thing to behold. What if you don't have any more running backs left?
11:02And what if you don't have any more wide receivers left except your number one running back and your number one receiver?
11:08It's just, it's a very rare thing that that would ever play itself out.
11:13And yet it did. And they happen to be at home against the lions.
11:17It was just the absolute nuts setup for Ted McMillan.
11:20And then typically what would happen is just when you were ready to go all in on young Hubbard McMillan, that, that
11:27trio Bryce Young would go down, right? That's what would, Oh, that's what we can't have nice things throughout the day.
11:34We couldn't have nice things. We couldn't have nice things.
11:37The NFL kept dangling and then taking away, dangling and then taking away.
11:41But I can't claim that it was the most shocking random event because as we talked about at the beginning of the
11:48show, the smart people, the bookmakers, they knew. And during the starter stream show, we get questions about why is player X?
11:55We had the questions about Jalen Coker. How could you have Jalen Coker ranked so high in week one, week two?
12:01I remember these questions on Sunday morning. And a lot of it went right back to, Hey, the game total is up
12:08there now, like especially week two, week three, week four with Carolina, the game totals getting up there.
12:14So you got to get McMillan in your lineup.
12:17You got to get Coker in your lineup. We recommended playing Darren Waller and you know, it was a catastrophe.
12:23We're going to get into this a little bit later in the show, but we are going to go through some of
12:30the plays of the week from last week. Some of my top 10 takeaways, some of the fab guidance.
12:36I want to do a retrospective, a learning retrospective to find out where the process was wrong, but the outcome might've been right where the process was right.
12:44And the outcome was wrong and so on and so on and so on.
12:49McMillan had 16 targets and almost 200 yards with two touchdowns because the second receiver was John Mechie.
12:54John Mechie becomes interesting in that game environment. When you're me and you have John Mechie in these deep dynasty leagues, John
13:01Mechie is a guy that I play. I started some John Mechie, just like I played some Antonio Williams because it's a
13:08question of, will I have all these wide receiver threes?
13:11And I'm trying to find the exact right scenario.
13:14And I thought, as we talked about in the plays of the week, it might've been Sky Moore.
13:20No, no Sky Moore playing Sky Moore as a fringe desperation option was not good enough.
13:25That was bad advice because the game total was 38 and a half.
13:29That's why for no other reason, no other reason than that game total is a fun marker in the sand to aim
13:35for, to challenge, to push every week. There's a game where we're like every game has tens of millions of lines of
13:42code grinding predicted outcomes, projections for yards, points scored, ultimately fantasy points for all these games across all these bookmakers, all these sports books.
13:50It's the law of big numbers, the big data game.
13:53That's the best thing you can go on is the game total.
13:57That is every week. Our starting point for creating projections is what is the game total?
14:02And we work from there because that's where you have the ability to take advantage of big data.
14:07Big data is your friend and it is best illustrated in the world of betting and fantasy sports in the game totals.
14:14And yet there are situations where we have edge and we say, I think this game is going to go over.
14:21I think this game is going to go under.
14:24I have a self-imposed rule that because game totals are such a powerful signal, such an incredible tool, the foundation of any
14:30projection system that you can at most go against game totals, predict a game total to be significantly one way or the
14:37other over or under once a week only. That's it.
14:40And the game I chose last week to say, you know what?
14:44I'm going to take some players in this game with a 38 and a half point total.
14:49I posted it on Twitter. I said, I think, I think I got to play Bucky Irving this week.
14:55I got to do it. I might even dabble with a little sky more in these deep leagues.
15:01And the theory is that it's not a pass funnel defense that the Buccaneers have.
15:06It's not just that it's that not only do the Buccaneers have a pass funnel defense, the Packers themselves have a pass funnel offense.
15:13So you have pass funnel defense with the pass funnel offense.
15:17They meet it's a pass fire hose. We coined the term we talked about on every show.
15:22We coined the term on the starter stream show and I just couldn't get off it.
15:27Couldn't get off Matthew Golden. Couldn't get off Christian Watson.
15:30Couldn't bench those guys. Wasn't saying these are plays of the week, but when I was trying to pick a fringe wide
15:37receiver three, not knowing all these guys would eventually become wide receiver twos because of injuries being reported on Friday night, Saturday,
15:44Sunday morning, we had, we, we identified Antonio Williams and sky more Antonio Williams.
15:48Like, Oh, he's a wide receiver too. If we were republishing it Sunday morning, I would have said John Mitchie wide receiver two, right?
15:56If we had the option, I like Roman Wilson.
15:58We didn't have those options. We ended up with sky more in a game, a wide receiver three in a game with
16:05a 38 and a half point total and playing Bucky Irving in a game where the Buccaneers had the fewest implied points
16:12of almost any team on the slate. It was a terrible game situation to play Bucky Irving.
16:17They're going on the road with their backup quarterback.
16:20And this is not a top 10 backup quarterback in the league.
16:24What are we doing? Right? It was actually at home.
16:27It was actually at home. That was why that had to be why, you know what?
16:32That is why I think that is why I was concerned.
16:36If you go to my tweet at fantasy underscore mansion, I was concerned about the game total.
16:41I said, in spite of the game total, I'm playing Bucky Irving.
16:45Anyway, we have this new sponsor sport dot fun.
16:47It is very fun. It's a fun game. It's a fun game to play.
16:52You basically set up five guys. It's a five man DFS team.
16:56And then if they exceed expectations, you get gold.
16:58You can use that gold to invest in players.
17:01You have a portfolio of players. And if you hold for three weeks, if you sign up from our code or clicking
17:08the link in the description, you get 50% back in extra gold.
17:12So there's a link in the description to sign up at sport dot fun.
17:16I just happened to sign up before week four a week that wasn't fun.
17:21Right? So that was the problem. Like, well, I should, I'll get some extra gold.
17:25I'll be able to invest in more shares of players.
17:28It's going to be great. Played Bucky Irving. Right.
17:31In spite of the low game total. And the reason I did was because he was at home.
17:37I was like, okay, well, at least he's at home.
17:40You know, if it were a road game, if they were going to green Bay, no way I play Bucky Irving.
17:46No way. But I talked myself into it because it was a home game.
17:51That is how, that is how it played out.
17:54So I'm thinking through, I'm like, how did it come to be?
17:57There's no way I would have played him on the road, but at home, what else are they going to do?
18:04They're going to be drawn up plays for Bucky Irving.
18:07They want to make it easy. They want to make a point and click offense for Jalen Daniels.
18:13And then a running back did score a touchdown on a dump off, but it was Kenneth Gainwell, right?
18:19All the usage trends for Bucky Irving went in the wrong direction.
18:22We're like, he's getting a 70 plus percent snap share and opportunity share.
18:26And then now with the backup quarterback, suddenly it's more Kenneth Gainwell.
18:30Okay, cool. I could look back and say, I was playing Bucky Irving based on this usage trend.
18:36And then the team inexplicably changed that trend. Not my fault.
18:39It was my fault. It was my fault. If there was one takeaway where I made an error, where I would admit
18:46making an error in week four, it was playing Packers and Buck and Buccaneers in a game with a 38 and a
18:53half point total, because I said, this is the one game where I think it's going to go over.
18:59Jalen Daniels can make plays. He's not Jaden Daniels, but he can make plays.
19:03And this team has weapons. He can get the ball to a Buka.
19:07They're going to draw plays in and around the line of scrimmage that will allow them to matriculate the ball down the field.
19:14He doesn't have to push the ball down the field.
19:18They got Godwin. They get a Buka. They got Bucky.
19:21They got Kenneth Gainwell. This is a great setup for a backup quarterback.
19:25I think this game's going over, especially because on the other side, you're going to have Jordan Love airing it out against
19:32the Buccaneers secondary and the Buccaneers aren't going to let the Packers run the ball at all.
19:37So the Packers won't be able to run the ball at all.
19:41So this game's going over. It didn't, it went under.
19:44And you play this game where you try to beat Vegas.
19:47Sometimes you get got. So we got got, we pushed it.
19:51We pushed it. We're like, okay, three weeks in a row.
19:54We can find the game that's going to go over.
19:57Usually it's because of the jets follow the jets this week.
20:01Didn't love the jets. Not sure why wasn't super into all these jets.
20:05Wasn't playing Isaiah Williams as a fringe option. Could have didn't.
20:08We were playing Braylon Allen. Not good. Even though that one is the opposite of the Bucky Irving play.
20:14The Bucky Irving play was a mistake. You push your luck every week going against Vegas three times.
20:20You, you, you're in the clear and then you roll a seven on the fourth shot.
20:25And that's, that's what happens. That's sports, but it was a mistake.
20:28Absolutely. Playing Bucky Irving over better options was a mistake.
20:32Playing Sky more in that game with that game total, even though everything looked like it was going over, there was information
20:38I didn't have about that matchup that a lot of smart money had and a lot of big machines with big computers
20:45crunching data had that I didn't that that's the, that's the makings of an error.
20:50I was happy to see it actually, because I was looking at some of these other outcomes thinking, man, it's hard to
20:57argue that this was a mistake, but there's no way you can have a week this bad and not have correctable errors.
21:04And putting any chips on a game with a 38 and a half point total is usually a mistake.
21:10And this week it was, but if you played Braylon Allen, you can't, you can't be regretting that decision.
21:16Braylon Allen had a 100% snap share, 100% opportunity.
21:18He didn't have a 100% snap share, but he had a 100% opportunity share.
21:23He had effectively 100% snap share. I mean, you couldn't have asked for anything more.
21:27It's just the Jets didn't fire at all ever in this game.
21:31You shrug your shoulders and move on. There's nothing you can do.
21:35It was a good process. Just like our process of picking up Ollie Gordon over Jalen Wright, right?
21:40We said there's going to be an opportunity to get Ollie Gordon at value, put more, even more down on Braylon Allen
21:47because fantasy football, by the time you get to week four, it's a week to week sport.
21:53It's a week to week game. So you might as well go and get Braylon Allen for this week against the bears next week against the Browns.
22:01And then all these future weeks where anything can happen.
22:04You want Braylon Allen and then you want Ollie Gordon and get out of here with Jalen Wright.
22:10And they're naming Jalen Wright, the starter. And I'm just like, okay, go to the dynasty rankings, go to any rankings.
22:16You're going to see Ollie Gordon is here. Jalen Wright is here.
22:20Why? Because Ollie Gordon sadly is similar to Ramadre Stevenson in that he's bigger.
22:24He's better between the tackles and he's better in the passing game than a slasher like Jalen Wright.
22:30And that's what's happening in new England is the Patriots are deploying their offense and all these different games situations.
22:36And they're like, well, Ramadre Stevenson actually helps us here.
22:39Ramadre Stevenson is a better, a better player in this situation.
22:43Ramadre Stevenson has more utility in this down and distance.
22:46And then you look up and this is how Ramadre Stevenson has played 59% of new England snaps to Travion's 37%.
22:53Ramadre is almost doubling the route participation rate of Travion Henderson.
22:56This is a, this is an absolute debacle. What's happening with Travion Henderson.
23:00He is looking like a bust. Shadarian Price looking like a bust.
23:04If you go down the board, another takeaway, I think this is takeaway three, four.
23:08I don't know. I've already lost track. Will we get to 10 takeaways?
23:13Will we go over 10 takeaways? We're never going under 10 takeaways.
23:16How far over 10 takeaways really is the question or as, as it is every week, right?
23:22Takeaway number one was nothing compares to full opportunity consolidation.
23:25No Jalen Coker, no Ligot, no HN ETN in the backfield, no Jonathan Brooks.
23:29What does that mean? It's all about Hubbard, all about Tett McMillan, and maybe some Darren Waller for lucky.
23:35And we weren't lucky. That was takeaway number one.
23:38And takeaway number two is I guess really we're not anywhere.
23:41We haven't gone anywhere. We've really, we're just wrapping up takeaway number one.
23:45So we can move on to takeaway number two.
23:48There was some other sub takeaways in there. So there were some micro takes in there.
23:53I guess that there was a, there was a whole looking back at lessons learned from last week.
23:59And the biggest blunder that I've made all season was explainable and something we can build on and learn from.
24:05So that's a takeaway. So now we're on a takeaway three.
24:08So now we're in takeaway three takeaway three is interesting.
24:12Robust RB was the only way to go in seasonal league drafts.
24:15That was it. And that was all. And by the way, I know I'm still wearing the Mike McDaniel sunglasses.
24:22If you're wondering why the Mike McDaniel sunglasses, I will be wearing these sunglasses until Mike McDaniel is fired.
24:27And I think he will be the first offensive coordinator fired.
24:31He is a fraud. I think he will get another job somewhere, probably in college.
24:36And he will, end up rebuilding his career and he will be back in the NFL, but he has to go to
24:42college and pay a penance in college, but he'll be back.
24:46I'm sure chargers fans are saying there's no way he'll be back.
24:50This is, this is unforgivable. We're Owen for we, I thought we're going to make the super bowl.
24:55I thought charges were a contender to make the super bowl.
24:59Did you put it in the comments? Let us know.
25:02Did you think the chargers had a chance this year during the summer?
25:06Did you think the chargers were a contender for the super bowl?
25:10I did. I did. So it's understandable that he's gone banished forever, never to return.
25:14Not so fast. We will see Mike McDaniel again, but I will continue to wear his sunglasses until he is fired.
25:21So let's go somewhere. I had a listener, I had a listener, send us an email podfather at roto wonderworld.com.
25:27Great email by a listener said, it makes no sense why you wouldn't show the data analysis tool more often on the show.
25:34And I thought about it and I said, well, that's true.
25:38I mean, I use it all the time when I am preparing the show, but I don't often show it on the stream or streaming it live.
25:46So we stream this show top 10 takeaways is streamed on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter X every Monday around one o'clock.
25:52Sometimes it's 1230. Sometimes it's 130. Just depends on how long it takes me to get 10 takeaways.
25:58I wake up in the morning with like five takeaways.
26:01And then I have to find my next five takeaways.
26:04And it, sometimes it takes a few hours. Sometimes it takes five minutes.
26:08And I think it all comes to me at once.
26:11So it's in that zone. We can't always promise exactly one o'clock, but at some point around the one o'clock, we're going
26:18to be live streaming the top 10 takeaways. So we have it up here on the screen, the data analysis tool on
26:25player profiler, subscribe to it and you support everything we're doing and you get incredible access to downloadable data.
26:31Unlike anything else. So we go here, we can look up underdog ADP from this past season, this past summer, and then
26:38just juxtapose it with the fantasy points per game.
26:41And you're going to see sorted everyone you would expect to see Gibbs, B-Jean, Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor, James Cook, Chase Brown, Kenneth Walker.
26:48Those were the, the, the top 15 players that were running backs.
26:52That's the list. Then you're, you're at Saquon at that point.
26:55I think Saquon went like 15, 16 in most drafts right after him was a Marion Hampton, H-Chan.
27:01So it falls apart, right? The first five plus running backs, seven running backs, they're all delivering Chase Brown, not exactly, but Chase Brown's giving you just enough.
27:10And these other guys are smashing. Then you get to Barkley, Hampton, H-Chan.
27:14Barkley has been dealing with nagging injuries. H-Chan has a season ending injury.
27:18Anna Marion Hampton is dealing with Mike McDaniel and a dysfunctional offense.
27:22And then you're at Gentee, pick 20. Derrick Henry is absolutely smashing 25 fantasy points a game.
27:27Javante Williams, he's up to 20 fantasy points per game after this week's performance.
27:31He was amazing. He was the running back you wanted.
27:34Jeremiah Love, his usage is going up. I mean, it came back down this week.
27:39So it was massively on the rise. His opportunity share was like over 60%.
27:43That was not sustainable. That week three opportunity share was not sustainable.
27:47But I think what you're going to see moving forward is something between what we saw, like 50-50 with Algier getting the touchdown, sadly.
27:55And then the week before, Jeremiah Love was at closer to 70%.
27:58And it'll settle in high 50s, low 60s, the opportunity share tilting toward Jeremiah Love week in, week out.
28:04So I think week four was a blip. I think what we saw in week three, calling the bottom on Jeremiah Love.
28:11It's only going to continue to go up from here.
28:14He hasn't really cashed in with touchdowns yet. That's coming.
28:17So big spike week's coming for Jeremiah Love. Continue to buy him wherever you can.
28:22And then if you see, if you go right through, Swift went off the board at pick 40.
28:28Then you're into David Montgomery and Cam Scadaboo. If you draw a line right at 50, Quinshawn Judkins, Bucky Irving, Basial Tootin,
28:35if you draw the line right there, that would be essentially the first five rounds of fantasy drafts, right?
28:41Or the first five and a half rounds, however you want to think about it.
28:45Depends if you're in a 10-team league or a 12-team league.
28:49So the first, around the top 50, right? If you say, you know, round down, you're pretty much going to go through Basial Tootin.
28:56And Basial Tootin was good again. He didn't score a lot of fantasy points, but Basial Tootin was an interesting process play this week.
29:04Again, it did not work out for Basial Tootin, but he did see a season high snap share, 57%.
29:10I mean, his previous high snap share was less than 50%.
29:13So it's the first time he's been over 50% with the snaps and he had like 70% of the carries.
29:19And I think his previous career high for carry share was something like 55%.
29:24So we're seeing continued increased usage, a continued commitment to increasing the opportunity share for Basial Tootin.
29:29It's just that in week four, like with most of these players we like, they didn't actually score fantasy points.
29:35And that's okay. Because again, the smart money saw that most of these games in week four were going to get dragged into the mud.
29:43So we know it, it was, it was identified as a trend for this week before anyone kicked off on Sunday.
29:50I was worried. Chuck was worried. We were worried.
29:52This is this, this week smells and we got it.
29:55We got the stinky week, the inexplicable week, the apocalyptic week.
29:59And there are also some, some performances where players dud it out, especially if they were Broncos players that we've all seen this coming.
30:06Cortland Sutton, we know he's dust. This alpha profile turns 31, the big lumbering alpha profile wide receivers.
30:12They turn 31, they're dust. They catch one pass on six targets.
30:16That's the Cortland Sutton experience. J.K. Dobbins. J.K. Dobbins is the running back version of Chris Godwin.
30:21J.K. Dobbins was very efficient last year, right? He had like a 40 plus percent success rate on his runs this year.
30:28It's down to like 25%. Okay. His fantasy points per snap is down from like 0.35 to 0.23.
30:34Like he is not the efficient player. He was last year.
30:37The Broncos offensive line is not what it was.
30:40And I'm done, right? I am done. I am done playing anybody behind one of these bottom five offensive lines.
30:46And I could tell you a team that if they don't have a bottom five offensive line, it's pretty damn close to
30:53bottom five, it's got to be the Houston Texans.
30:56Because I understand that J.K. Dobbins and David Montgomery have had a number of lower body injuries.
31:01And we talked about the, we discussed at length, the Tara McLaurin corollary, whereas if you have a clean bill of health,
31:08you're explosive and you don't suffer a myriad of lower body injuries during your twenties, you can turn 30 and still be a sports car.
31:16J.K. Dobbins does not have that luxury, right? It's been all lower body injuries, all career for J.K.
31:21Dobbins. And it's been all lower body injuries the last five years for Chris Godwin.
31:26So no one is surprised when these players are not efficient anymore.
31:30You can't be. Well, you can't be now that we have the Tara McLaurin corollary.
31:34I'm surprised about Chris Godwin. I thought I was expecting more from Chris Godwin.
31:39Now, if you were bullish on Chris Godwin, you can blame the quarterback situation.
31:43I'm not, I'm blaming myself for not ideating on the potential loss of athleticism and explosiveness due to lower body injuries that became the Tara McLaurin corollary.
31:52The Tara McLaurin corollary was not invented until week three of this season.
31:56So I ended up drafting some Godwin. The teams, according to Dan Fornick, our offensive line expert with the worst offensive lines,
32:0225 and below, like the bottom seven, the bottom eight, right?
32:06Texans, Panthers, Dolphins, Commanders, Browns, Chargers, Titans, Packers. What's wrong with the Chargers offensive line?
32:11I don't know. They have a lot of talent.
32:13They have a lot of draft capital invested and they're incompetent and it's hard to understand why.
32:19The Houston Texans cannot block anybody. So yes, David Montgomery is like J.K.
32:23Dobbins in that a lot of his explosiveness has been sapped over the years and he's 29 years old and and he was a purgatory back.
32:31We had this argument, my argument with John Paulson about is David Montgomery a purgatory back?
32:36Is he a dead zone back? I said, well, he can't be a bad.
32:40I can't, he can't be, he doesn't fit the definition of a dead zone back.
32:45He's being drafted inside the top 50. And this is a team that wants to be a running team.
32:51That's their identity, right? So I think this is a reckoning week for the pod father where I'm getting wrecked.
32:57I want to be reckoned on bad advice in the summer, the errors of the summer.
33:02We get to surface the errors of the summer and surface the errors that happened pre week four, right?
33:08Betting against all the Las Vegas firepower that was fading Packers box.
33:12That was a mistake playing Bucky Irving on sport.fun mistake streaming sky more in a deep dynasty league in flex mistake drafting David Montgomery at all.
33:20Given the Houston Texans offensive line was a mistake just because a team says their identities.
33:25We run the ball. Doesn't mean they just run the ball.
33:28If the Packers say we want to run the ball, doesn't mean they can run the ball.
33:34They can't run the ball. They can't, they've no way to open up any creases or crevices to allow a running back
33:40any space to get any positive yards. So then they have to throw and throw.
33:45They will. Oh, the Packers will continue to throw.
33:48If you can somehow get Matthew golden or Christian Watson or Jordan love now as a buy low, you do it.
33:55That was a blip. That was simply because they knew the bucks had Jalen Daniels and they were going to sit on a lead in the second half.
34:03They didn't have to throw. They didn't have to be prolific.
34:07They will have to be prolific and a bunch of other games against the lions and Kayla Williams in these games in the future.
34:14Bye, bye, bye, buy low on these Packers, but I'm not buying low on David Montgomery because this offensive line is giving him no room to operate.
34:23And even when they have a lead against the Cowboys, the offensive line does not allow them to run for first downs.
34:29And then they have to punt and the Cowboys can come back.
34:33That's the situation when you actually really want a good run blocking unit.
34:37It doesn't matter as much. You'd much prefer to have a great pass blocking unit than a run blocking unit.
34:44If you had to choose, however, in the fourth quarter, if you have a lead, that's when you really want your team
34:50to build a run block and the Texans can't.
34:53And if you have David Montgomery, it's a damn shame because Dave Montgomery has an all-purpose skill set.
34:59He is a touchdown machine on a team with an offensive line.
35:03No matter what the Texans are saying and what they want, it doesn't matter if they can't execute it.
35:08So that was my mistake of the summer thinking, well, we're going to draft based on identity.
35:14Texans want to be a running team. I'm going to, if Dave Montgomery slips to me, I'm going to draft him.
35:20I think it, I think he's a potential value pick in the fifth round.
35:25Look where he's going on underdog. He's going in the fourth round.
35:28I drafted him in the, the player profiler staff league.
35:32I was like, Oh, why you guys don't want Dave Montgomery?
35:35I remember bragging about it. Don't want Dave Montgomery.
35:38I'll take him value trap. Dave Montgomery was a value trap and Bucky Irving at his discounted salary was a, was a value trap this week.
35:46Dave Montgomery was a value trap in redraft and seasonal leagues.
35:49And that's about as much podfather blunder post-mortem as we're ever going to get on the show because I don't like looking back.
35:57I like looking ahead. I like looking ahead, but sometimes we have to look back to look ahead.
36:02So what was one of the takeaways? Do you remember takeaway number five last week?
36:07Takeaway number five last week was Basial Tootin is officially the bell cow in Jacksonville.
36:12You have to get him now. This is a team that is going to what play with a lead.
36:17Everything we've learned, right? Everything we've learned about what matters, what scores fantasy points, where do they come from?
36:23Just in the last five minutes points us where it points us to Basial Tootin.
36:28You have a team with a quarterback that can operate the offense competently at the very least.
36:33Now the problem with Trevor Lawrence is their defense and their running game with Basial Tootin at the head of it is too good.
36:41So if you wanted to sell Trevor Lawrence in seasonal leagues, by all means move on, because this is a situation where
36:48they're going to be able to sit on a lead.
36:51They play the Titans, right? This is not good, right?
36:54There's going to be plenty more games where Trevor Lawrence just doesn't produce.
36:58You're thinking, oh, he's playing the Bengals. I'm starting him.
37:01And then they didn't, they didn't necessarily need him.
37:04It was 13 to three at the half. You know what happens?
37:0813, three, their game plans, like we got to take the air out of the football in the second half.
37:14And that's what they did. The team ended up running the ball almost 30 times.
37:19Again, we talked about it. Basial Tootin had a huge share of the snaps and the carries 17 carries, but no touchdowns.
37:25Didn't get a lot of catches that we ran more routes this time than he's ever run.
37:31And yet only 10 fantasy points. And one of the reasons why was this was a road game.
37:36If they were at home, I'm sure Basial Tootin would have scored a few more points, but Tootin is still under the radar.
37:44He is still very attainable. So if like what we wanted of the Texans is what's happening now with the Jaguars, like
37:50what I thought would play out with the Texans is this is a great defense.
37:55They're going to play defense. They're going to want to run the ball.
37:59They have David Montgomery. They're going to find their running game.
38:03They're going to architect a running game. How could they not at least architect a successful running game?
38:08They've been talking about it all off season. That's all they care about doing to support their defense.
38:14I thought they would. And instead of, you know, going player by player across their offensive line depth chart and come to
38:21the conclusion, it's not going to happen for David Montgomery Jacksonville's offensive line is much better.
38:26And so a Basial Tootin does have that crease to make a big play.
38:30And he has the speed where he gets through that crease and suddenly it's a 20 yard run.
38:36It's a 40 yard touchdown. That is very much in his range of outcomes this year over and over and over again.
38:43We're going to see more of that. I'm all in on Tootin now.
38:47I've seen enough. And the beauty is because week four was such a strict week.
38:51A guy like Tootin is actually still attainable. There's a bunch of guys that didn't score because random players scored.
38:58Michael Wilson's a buy low still. You can, well, buy low, buy high, wherever you think your league mate is on Michael Wilson, buy.
39:05Okay. Maybe your league mate was expecting more somehow.
39:08I think Michael Wilson's delivering at about what I expected.
39:11So I guess I thought, whatever that is by neutral, Michael Wilson's a buy neutral because he's getting all the opportunities that the opportunity share is huge.
39:19Target share for Michael Wilson, like 35% the last couple of games, Marvin Harrison Jr.
39:24Got the touchdown. Elijah Higgins got the touchdown, but not so for Michael Wilson, because again, we couldn't have nice things in week four.
39:32That's the theme. We weren't allowed to have nice things.
39:35We certainly made some errors and didn't help ourselves in some situations, but also the team matchups were conspiring against us with
39:42strengths on strengths and weaknesses on weaknesses. And Vegas saw it.
39:45So clear as day. So I better than I could see it, but thankfully I don't need to have supercomputers running.
39:52I can just check the lines and be like, wait, these lines have all moved down four or five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10 points.
39:59Oh, this game, this game, this game, this game, this entire slate, it's going to be a debacle.
40:05And it was, but I mean, I stand by Ollie Gordon over Jalen Wright, feeling pretty good about that.
40:11Stand by Braylon Allen getting, oh, I don't know, a hundred percent opportunity share, even Kenyon Sadiq, right?
40:16Go back to the fab guidance. We said, get Kenyon Sadiq, bid up Kenyon Sadiq, 10 plus percent of your fab budget on Kenyon Sadiq.
40:24Why not? I'll spend more on Kenyon. We suggested spending more on Kenyon Sadiq than any wide receiver last week.
40:31And Kenyon Sadiq put up a zero, but he put up a zero with a higher snap share and a higher route participation rate.
40:38The underlying usage metrics on guys like Basial Tootin, guys like Kenyon Sadiq, Braylon Allen, Ollie Gordon, all good, all good.
40:45Especially, especially the one, the one metric, the one usage metric from week four.
40:49I was very encouraged by Ollie Gordon's route participation rate compared to Jalen Wright.
40:53It was 45 to 10. So Ollie Gordon is absolutely a buy high coming out of this week because it's not that high.
41:01It's the beauty is with a guy like Ollie Gordon is whoever has him thinks that they're hoodwinking you because, oh, I
41:07got lucky with a long run for a touchdown from Ollie Gordon.
41:11I'm going to sell high. I'm going to, I'm going to pump and dump, like go to the fantasy manager with Ollie
41:18Gordon and let them cash out on their pump and dump scheme thinking, oh, well next week it's going to be Jalen Wright.
41:25No, no, no. Jalen Wright is not the receiver that Ollie Gordon is.
41:29And certainly not a guy that you can run between the tackles.
41:33Like you came with all the Gordon, Ollie Gordon's a 2000 yard rusher, how they're still naming Jalen Wright, the starter.
41:40I don't know. It's not my problem, right? It's just like with Houston.
41:44I don't know why they thought they could be a running team.
41:47That's not my problem. Offensive line's not good. So you stay away from David Montgomery.
41:52I mean, Badgen looked good. No fantasy points, right?
41:55He was more efficient than Jameis Winston threw fewer picks than Jameis Winston was in general performed better as a backup quarterback
42:02than Jameis Winston, but Jameis Winston threw for three touchdowns.
42:05All the touchdowns in Chicago went to Monungay. When you look up and guys like Monungay are dominating Deandre Swift and you
42:12see that trend repeating itself over and over and over again, go all the way back to Thursday night football.
42:18A problem I had with Thursday night football is I would have played Roman Wilson.
42:23And I'll show you a team. I'm going to put a team up on the screen soon.
42:28One of my dynasty league teams in the Kings classic.
42:31I played Cody. I'm going to show this team.
42:34I'll put up there right now. Okay. I'll put up there right now.
42:38So put this team up there. This is it.
42:41Okay. I'm starting Bryce Young, Kendra Miller, Emmanuel Wilson, Devon Vele, the aforementioned Sky Moore, Zay Flowers, Tyler Warren, Mike Gusecki, Arande Gadsden, Michael Penix.
42:48This is a bad team. This is an 0-3 team, but guess what?
42:53I won this week. I'm going to beat Cody.
42:55I haven't won yet, but I will win. Okay.
42:58I'm probably going to win. Actually, given how this week is gone, I probably won't win.
43:03I'm favored to win 68% to 32% based on win probability on sleeper.
43:07That means nothing. Why? Week four. It means nothing.
43:10I can't believe I just assumed this is a game I won.
43:14No, you haven't won yet. What are you talking about?
43:17You're far from winning. Think Vele and Kendra Miller are going to come through?
43:21Maybe. Maybe not. Think Michael Penix is going to come through?
43:25I hope so. He has Shuck. He has Shuck.
43:27Now, I do have Shuck in Monster Leagues. I played my daughter.
43:31And for the second week in a row, you play whatever opposing player on Monster Leagues you want to play.
43:37So you take your players, your team, and you match it up with whoever you want.
43:42The only catch is, if you beat the player you're matched up against, you get to capture that player and they're on
43:49your team and you get to play them moving forward.
43:52They're on your roster. So you get to decide, how aggressively do you want to try to capture players?
43:58And with Jalen Warren being the primary back with no Rico Dowdle, I'm thinking I can shoot high.
44:04I can aim high. I can go for Jeremiah Love last week.
44:08Got beat by one point. Less than a point.
44:11Fraction of a point. This week, I said, I'm going to capture Ashton Gentry, right?
44:15They'll be playing from behind against Kansas City. Well, they weren't playing from behind.
44:20That was the problem. Why? Week four. Because a lot of, again, some blunders, but mostly who knew?
44:25And then of course I said, I, there was like a minute left.
44:29And I said, I'm going to lose this. I'm not going to be able to capture Ash and Gentry.
44:35Watch it happen. Watch him overcome Jalen Warren. And sure enough, boom, he did.
44:40My daughter, on the other hand, picked up Malik neighbors last week.
44:43Cause she played against him last week in a genius inspired move.
44:47Then decided to play neighbors against Pickens this week, captured Pickens.
44:51Then she played Wandale Robinson. No, actually what she did was no, no, she did something even crazier.
44:56She played neighbors against a Dunze to just get the win.
45:00So now she has a Dunze. Great. Caleb Williams about to come back.
45:04I'm like, that was a smart decision. Way to go.
45:07Capturing a Dunze. Then with Wandale, she had a matched up against Pickens.
45:11I couldn't even get my head around it. I still can't.
45:14And how did you know to do that? She won't say she wants, I want to share it with you.
45:20I was like, we have a duty, right? To tell the audience of top 10 takeaways.
45:25How did you know to do that? And she's like, well, the cornerback matchup with Houston was tough and thought this was more of a lamb week.
45:34I was like, what? No way. Stop it. Stop it.
45:37No. I mean, it's, it's great logic. That was actually the logic of playing Dalton Kincaid, right?
45:42Dalton Kincaid. The logic was, well, Christian Gonzalez, right?
45:45Well, Christian Gonzalez was ruled out. And then I was like, oh yeah, this is just all the papers this week thrown into the air.
45:53Like, oh, I guess, I guess the logic behind Kincaid is now invalid.
45:57And then you're like, well, does that mean I don't play Kincaid?
46:01Because Kincaid's usage has been way up this year and he's been one of the best fantasy tight ends.
46:07This is going to be a shootout. Look at the game total.
46:10Why wouldn't you just play Kincaid? So of course you're playing Kincaid still, regardless Christian Gonzalez or not.
46:16It's just Christian Gonzalez playing would force more throws to the middle of the field.
46:21So it's understandable. Just like Stingley playing forces more passes to the middle of the field.
46:26I don't even know if Stingley played. Did Derek Stingley Jr.
46:29play? Did he play at all? I'm sure he did.
46:32I hope he did. Now I'm like questioning everything.
46:35I'm like, wait, did I miss that one? Did I miss that inactive?
46:39No, no. Of course. Why did Pickens not produce?
46:42She knew. She just knew. This girl, she has been trained well.
46:46I I'm still not sure because I'm not, I'm not a hundred percent sure that the thought process is as sophisticated as
46:53she makes it sound because if it is, she's like the smartest, uh, 14 year old in the history of fantasy football.
46:59So I'm like, I'm a little dubious of how you're doing this, but I'm, I'm getting beat in this game.
47:06Okay. I'll tell you right now, I was winning after this week.
47:09I'm now losing. It really is going to come down to shock.
47:13This is the reason I even mentioned this is because Cody has shuck and I have shock.
47:18So I have shock against my daughter, but Cody has shock against me in the Kings classic.
47:24And if we were talking about this a couple of weeks ago, I'd be like, Oh dude, I definitely want to get
47:31a W in the Kings classic, even though I probably should be trying to tank.
47:35I'm not because I'm just wired to win and too bad.
47:39And it will help me in the long run.
47:42And I want to beat Cody and that's it.
47:44Now I'm like, I don't even care about what Cody does with shock against me in the Kings classic.
47:50I need to beat my daughter. This is getting out of hand.
47:54And now she's capturing all these great players. And the rope is like just slipping through my hands.
48:00Oh, I captured a Buka this week. That was my big inspired.
48:03I was like, Oh, well, a Buka everyone knew to bench a Buka.
48:07Okay. That was not like, that was not a super sophisticated under the radar expert play, right?
48:13That's what she, she does the expert plays. I'm doing these like chalk plays, like playing against a Buka, which of course
48:20it worked, but it's not like, I'm going to come on here and brag about it because it was just the chalk move.
48:27Just like I, you know, I had a choice of Emmanuel Wilson or Ollie Gordon and it actually worked.
48:33I played Emmanuel Wilson because it was a home game and game script and Ollie Gordon was going on the road to Minnesota.
48:40Nothing to do. You have to believe me. It had nothing to do with Jalen Wright.
48:45It was all about our typical process that we follow on this show and the plays of the week show and playing
48:52Emmanuel Wilson worked even over Ollie Gordon. And hopefully it results in a win against Cody, but because Pittsburgh was playing on
48:59Thursday night, I did not play Roman Wilson. I wanted to play Roman Wilson.
49:03I think Roman Wilson is actually the best receiver on the Steelers.
49:07I am looking every week for reasons to play Roman Wilson, but I also knew there were a bunch of wide receivers that were questionable.
49:15Some would be ruled out. And so I was like, I need to hold back because I might want to play Antonio Williams.
49:22I might want to play John Mechie. I might want to play one of these players.
49:27That's an actual wide receiver two instead of a wide receiver three, which technically Roman Wilson's a wide receiver three Brown's game is not supposed to shoot out.
49:35So I didn't feel like I was missing out a lot in keeping Roman Wilson on the bench, but it's just, it's
49:42part of the strategy that goes into these Thursday night games where if it is a fringe option, I will typically leave
49:49that guy on the bench just because I know a wide receiver will end that I can play that I can either
49:56pick up and play, or I have on my bench already.
49:59I can pick them up and stream them because there's an injury ahead of them in the depth chart.
50:05I have Laquan Treadwell on that team. I have Roman Wilson on that team.
50:10I have Demario Douglas on that team. I have Isaiah Williams on that team.
50:14I had a lot of options that produce 15 fantasy points.
50:18You know who didn't produce 15 fantasy points? Josh Downs, right?
50:21Again, that one, not our fault. In-game injuries. No, feeling fine.
50:24Josh Downs continues to be a buy low. Oh, the tight end position, man.
50:29Last week, if you played Darren Waller or you play Dalton Kincaid, don't feel bad.
50:33We were playing him. We loved him as a play.
50:37Play of the week, off the waiver wire, Darren Waller.
50:40I would do it again. I'm just telling you, tight ends, targets can consolidate.
50:44The moon and the stars can align. The game can shoot out where you can set your watch by like a number
50:51one wide receiver, like a Tett McMillan. You can never truly set your watch by any tight end.
50:57And that was part of the whole thesis of selling high on Travis Kelsey.
51:01Like Travis Kelsey is outperforming his target share and he's enjoying positive touchdown variants.
51:05You got to get out of Travis Kelsey. So certainly we're feeling good about some moves we made last week.
51:12It wasn't a complete debacle, especially Malik Neighbors. Calling the bottom of Malik Neighbors felt good.
51:17His route participation rate was up to 91%. Target share went up.
51:20Air yards went way up, right? Everything's been up from the beginning of the year.
51:25It's been climbing. I mean, if you combine week three and week four, it's interesting because he had the 29% target share
51:32week three, the 24% target share week four. So you saw as of week three and four, the target share was starting
51:39to get back up to the traditional Neighbors level target shares, but the air yards did not kick in until this week.
51:46We had five air yards last week, week three, this week, 113 air yards.
51:50And that's when you get the fantasy points. Ba-boom.
51:53And we're getting air yards from Xavier Worthy. Xavier Worthy, that was a spike week.
51:57We called the spike week on Xavier Worthy. And of all of our calls from last week that I feel good about
52:04is just going through, was this, did this come through or not?
52:08That's not interesting. What's interesting is to talk about how and why it may have come to fruition or not.
52:14Xavier Worthy technically did not have a spike week because on his 41 yard bomb, it was not a touchdown.
52:21The touchdown scored the long touchdown on a 55 yard bomb was scored by Taequann Thornton.
52:26So if you combine Worthy and Thornton, it was a spike week.
52:29It was a massive spike week. It was like Ted McMillan level spike week, CD lamb level spike week.
52:35If you combine Thornton and Worthy, not quite Ted McMillan, nothing could compare to Ted McMillan, but then you're, you're starting to
52:42be like, okay, I can compete against Ted McMillan.
52:45If I have worthy and Thornton in one wide receiver spot, but that's not possible in fantasy.
52:50Okay. This was the rare case. What you saw from Xavier worthy was the rare case where the number one wide receiver goes down.
52:58And because the next man up was actually a redundant player, it hurt worthy.
53:02The fact that rice got hurt meant more snaps and routes for Thornton.
53:06And then that's a second choice. Now a second choice is on the field for Patrick Mahomes and his huge arm to connect deep.
53:14I contend that if rice never left the game, worthy gets those bombs.
53:18Worthy does get the spike week, but the rice injury inadvertently suppressed worthy in week three in week four.
53:24Does that track? Are you following me on this?
53:26Is that, is that being followed? Does that even make sense?
53:30Let's bring our producer in Justin. I'm going to bring you in.
53:34Did that make sense? Justin makes sense. Yeah. Yeah.
53:36Uh, where they actually looked really good too. Uh, I love how surprised you were.
53:41I, we did talk about you joining the show at some point just because you're so good pre-show.
53:47I'm like, listen, man, we got to get you some more airtime.
53:50And so now you're here, but we didn't say when, like it's not on the show sheet.
53:56I just like clicked a button, turn the camera on.
53:59Oh, there's Justin. And you're like, Oh, um, what worthy?
54:02What are we talking about? So knowing that we, we were touting worthy, we get, we had the spike week alert on the plays of the week.
54:10What would you like what you saw from worthy?
54:13I did. Um, I, I liked the involvement. Uh, my home seemed to look at him on third downs, uh, until like you said, rice was there.
54:22And then Thornton started being the number one, deep target, number one, big play target.
54:26Uh, and he made the plays, but then he had that ugly injury.
54:30So it's probably going to be worthy again. We're going back to worthy.
54:34We're going back to worthy. There was an, uh, what was the ugly injury?
54:39Uh, Thornton, uh, his ankle is looking the opposite way.
54:42He made a big play on the left hand side.
54:45His, you could, you could see the, how it didn't even, he didn't even feel it.
54:50Uh, he stood up like he was so excited to make a play and immediately fell back down.
54:56It was, it was an ugly one is it was turned the opposite way.
55:00It was a, it was a bad one. I didn't know that.
55:04I didn't know about that injury. Apologies. Uh, I should have led with that.
55:08The empathy, I apologize. There's just a lot of injuries in the NFL.
55:12It's not good, man. It is not good. So, okay.
55:15Worthy continues to be a potential smash. Nothing's changed.
55:18Okay. Okay. Now another, another, uh, I guess we went with sell high, buy high, sell low, sell high, sell high was Kelsey.
55:25A buy high has to be pretty. I think about quarterbacks.
55:29I want people trying to, I'm, I'm, I'm moving on from Trevor Lawrence.
55:33I know we have people that are saying, Hey, we're moving on from Trevor Lawrence.
55:37Is that fine? And I'm thinking, yes, it is fine because this is a team that's going to be relying on their defense.
55:45They're going to be able to sit back. They're not going to be incentivized to throw.
55:50They clearly have a running game with Tootin in this offensive line that's working.
55:54So there's gonna be plenty of games where you just don't get much from Trevor Lawrence.
55:59This is a team I think where you want to play Parker Washington, play Brenton strange in spots.
56:05We said this was the get right week for Brenton strange.
56:08I always find it's so funny. We focus on the negative.
56:11I'm like, Oh, it didn't work out with Darren Waller.
56:15Oh, right. Uh, Christian Gonzalez actually is out. So the, the, the thesis around Kincaid has fallen apart, but actually the other
56:21tight end we talked about did that did hit one out of three is, is all you can hope for a tight end most weeks.
56:29And the buy high continues to be after what we saw this past week on Brock Purdy, right?
56:35I mean, we're talking about a 0.6 EPA per play for the first three weeks, which was number one among quarterbacks the
56:42last decade talked about that last week. And then what did he do this past week?
56:47Just an efficient 19 for 32 touchdowns, no turnovers.
56:50He is one of the most efficient quarterbacks of the decade, but you can actually get him.
56:55You can actually, you can actually get him in fantasy because he was the last pick and you know, he's just, he's
57:02not yet perceived as the elite talent that he truly is.
57:05Would you agree with that? Yeah. Uh, I mean, Mike Shanahan or Kyle Shanahan, excuse me, Bronco fan, uh, Kyle Shanahan handpicked
57:12this guy, you know, even though he drafted the trail and super high wasted all the capital he saw with this guy doesn't practice.
57:20Like you said, he's just efficient. He gets the ball out on time.
57:24He runs the offense the way it's supposed to be run and he just keeps getting better.
57:29Uh, you know, I don't see why he isn't, uh, and I'm in the MVP conversation this year.
57:35He should be. I think he will be like, yeah, I think it will be.
57:39You need to get him now. You need to get him coming off the back of an uninspired fantasy performance.
57:45That was actually quite good in, in real football terms.
57:49I think that's the perfect time to buy a player.
57:52Uh, we, all you're seeing is, is, is good things, good signs, good signals, but the fantasy gamer in the box score
57:59is like, ah, I wish I would've got more from Purdy.
58:02It's funny. My daughter captured Purdy this week. So she played, she played Bryce young against Purdy and captured Purdy.
58:08So all she's doing is like stacking players that I can't compete with.
58:12Like I have Jordan Addison. I have Brian Thomas.
58:15I've captured Emeka Egbuka. She's rolling out pickings. She's rolling out neighbors, Purdy.
58:19I can't compete with this girl, man. I'm getting dominated.
58:22Pod daughter is dominated. It's in the blood. It's in the blood.
58:26There's some, I don't, I'm very proud. It's tough when you're getting beat, but at the same time, there's a little bit of pride there.
58:34So it's a very cool experience. I've got some clips you want to show coming up, some wide receiver clips.
58:40So I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to go back to the, uh, the solo show.
58:47Justin's great. Love having a producer to jump in and, and, and, uh, and, and, and talk, talk football.
58:53I can't believe how long the show is going.
58:55The show is just going on and on and on and on.
58:59There's no stop. We're not, we're not even close to being done because we're buying low on Carnell Tate.
59:05We're also buying low on Carnell Tate. Uh, I, if it's even low though, I mean, how many fantasy gamers are ignoring targets.
59:12He's not getting any touchdowns. I only say it's by low because it should be so much better.
59:18There should be so many more fantasy points for Carnell Tate.
59:21He's unbenchable. Okay. He's got a 30% target share.
59:24That's Malik neighbors, Drake, London, Puka Nakua level that those are the only rookie receivers that have ever posted a 30% target share.
59:31That's the kind of class that he's in. That's the company he's keeping, but he's not getting touchdowns.
59:37So he doesn't have these spike weeks that are making fantasy gamers drool salivate.
59:41So he's gettable. He's still very gettable. He's not a buy high.
59:45He's not about, he's very much like Michael Wilson.
59:48Michael Wilson actually has a 35% target share in the last couple of weeks and he's getting red zone looks just couldn't
59:55quite convert in the red zone, but he will be.
59:58So Michael Wilson and Carnell Tate, these are by neutrals.
60:01These are by neutral players. Absolutely. That is like takeaway seven or eight.
60:05I don't know. I do want to talk about Darius Cooper.
60:08I want to talk about Efton Chisholm. Takeaway nine is wide receivers are much better than they were 10 years ago.
60:15It's now commonplace for wide receivers to make one hand catches.
60:18I mean, it's pretty unbelievable. If you watch Darius Cooper, if you watch Efton Chisholm, we need to play these clips.
60:25I mean, they, they, we, they are, we are, they are ready to go.
60:29We got a clip ready here. So we're going to play it.
60:33And you just got to see this to believe it.
60:36I mean, it's, it's unbelievable. It really to see it to believe is unbelievable.
60:41So we'll play it. And then he comes over the top and then somehow Moss is the guy.
60:46I have a bunch of Darius Cooper. I have him in that King's classic roster.
60:51If I was scrolling down, if I had scrolled down past Roman Wilson, you would have seen Darius Cooper, but I didn't
60:58play Darius Cooper because Darius Cooper was technically the wide receiver three.
61:01And that game total was one of those game totals that had come down.
61:06So my rule of thumb, when I'm streaming one of these random wide receivers into these deep dynasty rosters, you know, the
61:13third or fourth or fifth flex spot, I'm picking the player regardless of their talent profile that is highest in the target
61:20pecking order with the highest game total. Right. And that's why it was like, at first I was thinking Jordan Watkins is
61:26interesting because there's a high game total there. And he's now moving into that wide receiver three role.
61:32We talked about him in the plays of the week, but by the time Sunday rolls around, we had Antonio Williams, Laquan Treadwell, we had all these players.
61:41They're actually moving into the wide receiver two spot.
61:44The difference with Cooper, the reason why Cooper was, is more of a dynasty stash and wasn't necessarily an obvious play this past week.
61:51Of course he wasn't is that the team loves him just based on the Parker Washington corollary.
61:56I suggest adding Darius Cooper everywhere. Are you going to be adding him aggressively in the waiver wire?
62:02No, the guy to aggressively add on the waiver wire this week is Emmanuel Wilson, because it's a week to week sport.
62:09And the best thing you can do is get a primary back on a team with a great offensive line.
62:15That's going to be enjoying a lot of positive game script.
62:19That is Seattle. Okay. And I, and the reason why you can get Emmanuel Wilson and he's not even that expensive is because look at Zach Charbonnet's leg.
62:27Most people are like, Oh, Zach Charbonnet back soon.
62:30Zach Charbonnet is back soon. Janarian price only out for four weeks.
62:34What are we really getting from a, you know, Emmanuel Wilson's going to give us a few weeks of production.
62:40Okay. Well, you bet you should have picked him up on Saturday and Sunday.
62:44Even if you didn't, just like with Braylon Allen, I say bid a lot.
62:49Like if just get out ahead of the fab guidance, we're going to drop on Patreon, patreon.com slash podfather.
62:55You're going to want Emmanuel Wilson. He is going to be the key to victory for some teams in the next few weeks.
63:02He already has been, he already was in week four, but he's going to do it again and do it again, because
63:09this is the time he's going to outproduce David Montgomery.
63:12Don't buy low on David Montgomery. You want to buy high on Emmanuel Wilson because look at that leg, look at Zach Charbonnet's leg though.
63:20I thank you, Justin, our, Justin, our producer mentioned that Joe Mixon is working out.
63:24Joe Mixon, is dust. I don't care about Joe Mixon.
63:27I'm not getting fooled into underbidding on players. I know are going to be primary backs in great situations.
63:33I'm not going to get fooled. This, there is a significant difference in the size of the leg.
63:39Look at the thigh of Zach Charbonnet on the right versus his thigh on the left.
63:44His quad is half the size. The quad on a surgically repaired leg is half the size because his muscles have atrophied.
63:51It's going to take many weeks for him to build that back up.
63:55And in that amount of time, Emmanuel Wilson is going to be playing the primary back role in helping you win fantasy matchups by scoring touchdowns.
64:03And sometimes he's going to catch some balls out of the backfield on random occasions and score like he did last week on a reception.
64:11But that's how you play fantasy football. You go out and you put it, you put your, your bids down and you
64:18go get a Braylon Allen for two, three, four weeks.
64:21You go get Emmanuel Wilson for two, three, four weeks and you piece it together and you make the playoffs and you make a run.
64:29That's how you play. You don't waste it on wide receivers.
64:32You don't waste those fab bids on players in doom situations like Caleb Johnson.
64:36It's a doom situation with that offensive line in Green Bay.
64:40That's why we weren't, we would have been super in on Caleb Johnson if Green Bay had a better offensive line, but they don't.
64:47So we weren't, but it's just, it's super cool to see how good these players are.
64:52I mean, it really is unbelievable, right? Look at Efton Chisholm.
64:56I mean, Efton Chisholm is a backup to a backup to a backup.
65:00And you look at what he's doing, making these one hand catches, getting his coach fired up.
65:05It's a pleasure to watch. And we did not have this level of talent in the league.
65:10The Patriots could not just roll out their number five wide receiver and have him make spectacular one hand catches a la
65:17Edelman in the Superbowl that you just wouldn't see that.
65:20I mean, this was, this was a feel good video that I saw where you have Efton Chisholm getting congratulated.
65:27Look at that. I would want to play for that right there.
65:30That's all I need to see. I want to play for Mike Vrabel just based on that.
65:36I felt so good for it for Chisholm, felt good for the Patriots to win this game, even though Romeo Dobbs, man,
65:43Romeo Dobbs, again, how smart and how good at this is my daughter.
65:47When she saw Romeo Dobbs score a touchdown, she was both happy and sad at the same time.
65:52And I was like, why are you, why are you conflicted?
65:56She's like, dad, I'm conflicted about this because I don't want people thinking Romeo Dobbs is good.
66:01And I was like, well, that's a, the right perspective.
66:04I agree with that. And then he does this, right?
66:07He does this in that game as well. I think this might've happened before or after.
66:12I don't know. It might, I think this happened after the touchdown or he scored two touchdowns.
66:18Maybe this happened between the two touchdowns. I don't remember the timeline of events probably between the two touchdowns.
66:23He, he, uh, he caused an interception that, uh, boggles the mind.
66:27So there were some mind boggling catches and interceptions in this one game and in the NFL in week four, that's a
66:34Romeo Dobbs special where he somehow makes the catch and then flicks the ball up in the air as he's rolling over untouched.
66:41And then it becomes interception. I mean, that was just so Dobbs right there.
66:46And yet what does he do? Has it, hasn't he, he puts up a nice fantasy performance because you follow the targets.
66:53He's still playable, startable in fantasy. Why? Because he's the number one in a high point total game.
66:58It's supposed to be a shootout and he's the number one receiver.
67:02So you have to play him. I hate it, but you have to play him just like you're considering.
67:08Maybe I play Laquan Treadwell. Maybe I played John Mechie.
67:11Why? Because they are operating as wide receiver twos, starting receivers in games that are supposed to shoot out.
67:17You can't worry about the talent profile of the wide receiver at that point.
67:21You just can't, you can't, if you chase a guy like Darius Cooper, because you know, the team loves him and he's
67:28capable of these kinds of big plays and he's been touted wildly throughout training camp, you're probably going to end up with
67:35fewer fantasy points at the end of the year.
67:38If you keep playing wide receiver threes and wide receiver fours, just hoping that they get an opportunity as opposed to the
67:45guys, you know, are going to be running the routes.
67:48You know, we're going to get targets. It might be eight fantasy points, but they might score a touchdown.
67:54That is the way to go. So I don't want to chase Darius Cooper, though.
67:58I love him. I didn't play him at all this week.
68:02I don't feel bad about not playing him, but you can love.
68:06That's why we have dynasty teams and we have seasonal league teams.
68:09So we can pick up players and play them in seasonal leagues and in dynasty as well.
68:15But also if we're not ready to play them, if they're still technically the wide receiver three, but we know there's a lot of positive buzz.
68:23We know there's talent 40% dominator rating at Tarrington state.
68:26Wait, Darius Cooper is a good player. He's a good football player.
68:30We know this. The Eagles know this, but playing a wide receiver three in a low point total game is not good
68:36process no matter what, no matter how good that player is.
68:40So you, you pick them up, you stash them in dynasty and you reap the rewards.
68:45That's the way to, that's the way you capitalize, right?
68:48Just like when teams are playing the jets, you play those running backs, right?
68:52If you play Deandre Swift, don't feel bad, right?
68:55Week four was a debacle. Deandre Swift was a great process play.
68:59Just all the production went to modern guy this coming week.
69:02You're playing Quinshawn Judkins. Doesn't matter. It's the Browns.
69:05It's the jets. You play Judkins and I'm running it back with Braylon Allen as well, because he had a hundred percent opportunity share.
69:13So running it back with Emmanuel Wilson, whether they signed Joe Mixon or not, Mike McDaniel is going to be fired at some point.
69:20A Marion Hampton is going to, is going to erupt.
69:23He got the touchdown this week. So now you might see a manager's thinking, well, actually I'm going to sell high.
69:30This is a little mini sell window. You should approach the Marion Hampton dynasty owner because they might view week four as a mini sell window.
69:38When you're not trying to pick up a Marion Hampton for next week, you know, this offensive line, this coaching staff is
69:45a debacle just like week four was the debacle week, but you want a Marion Hampton for his career.
69:51He is going to be awesome. He is a total all purpose stud being dragged down by circumstance.
69:56And this might be a little, you might convince the fantasy manager who has him to sell now on the back of
70:03this touchdown, but there's no better buy low right now.
70:06I mean, Hampton's a buy low in dynasty in a very specific search circumstance where the manager that has him is a win now manager.
70:14You could potentially pry a Marion Hampton away from that manager.
70:18I would use this as an opportunity to do that, that touchdown he scored in week four, but the buy low of
70:24all across the board in every format right now is Colston Loveland, nine more targets in week four, still no touchdowns, even
70:31though he's getting red zone targets in every game just hasn't actually scored a touchdown.
70:36As soon as he scores a touchdown, everyone's going to wake up, but for now you got to get him from here.
70:43Moving forward, he will be the second most productive tight end in all of fantasy after Brock Bowers.
70:48And the final thing I want to say before we wrap up today is thank you to Drake May.
70:54It was a huge relief. We talked about it on the starter stream show at length, how there was so much at
71:01stake for a couple of these teams. Number one, being the Patriots that if they got embarrassed by the bills that their season was over.
71:09Drake May rose up and showed why he has a Josh Allen comp on playerprofiler.com.
71:14There have been whispers at player profiler that maybe, maybe Drake May would lose his Josh Allen comp and he rose up
71:21and he said, no, he said, I know receivers matter and I don't have any.
71:25And that's okay. They both did. You know what he and Josh Allen both did.
71:30They said, you know what? DJ Moore's out. We're going to feed Keon Coleman.
71:34We're going to be competitive in this game with Keon Coleman in the back of the end zone.
71:40Why? Because Josh Allen's elite. And then Drake May says, I see your Keon Coleman and I'll do you one better.
71:47I have Romeo Dobbs. We're going to make him a top fantasy producer this week.
71:51Both Romeo Dobbs and Keon Coleman posted exactly 23 fantasy points in week four.
71:56And if that is not the perfect illustration of one of those weeks, I don't know what is.
72:01It would have been great for Wilson. It would have been great for Wilson.
72:06There's a lot of Wilsons to talk about today, but not necessarily in that game.
72:10It would have been great for Watson. Great for Golden.
72:13Guess if you combine Golden and Watson, you get Wilson.
72:16That's probably where that came from. Anyway, that's what we talked about with Chuck on the, on the place, on the top
72:2310 takeaways on the, on the starter stream show doing too many shows.
72:27Can't keep them all straight. I probably talked about all, we coined the term we talked about on every show.
72:34We coined the term on the starter stream show.
72:36It's a past fire hose.
