Adonai Mitchell

PositiveSleeper45:35

Davis Mattek identifies Adonai Mitchell as the 'chalk cheap wide receiver of the week' at $4,300, citing his high target volume and 180 air yards in his previous game.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeValue0:23

Davis Mattek views Brian Thomas Jr. as a strong DFS value at $4,600, arguing he is significantly more talented than other cheap wide receiver options despite a difficult shadow matchup against Christian Gonzalez. Mattek notes that while current projections of 13.8 points may be too high, Thomas Jr. remains a superior talent compared to other low-priced alternatives like AD Mitchell.

Insight page

Cade Otton

NegativeUsage47:25

Davis Mattek questions whether Cade Otton will see an increase in route participation to 80% following Mason Taylor's absence, or if the team will utilize Rucker instead, potentially leading to a 'rug pull' for fantasy managers.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

NegativeInjury21:43

Davis Mattek notes that DJ Moore's injury status is a key factor to monitor, as his potential absence would impact the fantasy outlook for other players in that game.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

PositiveBreakout21:43

Davis Mattek is high on Dalton Kincaid, comparing his fantasy potential to Trey McBride within the Buffalo Bills' offense. Mattek considers him his favorite tight end play of the slate, arguing that his projection should be as high as Brock Bowers' current output.

Insight page

Dalton Schultz

PositiveValue41:16

Davis Mattek highlights Dalton Schultz at $4,200 as the only playable Texans player, noting he benefits from playing without Nico Collins against favorable tight end defenses. Mattek prefers Schultz 'by a lot' over Isaiah Likely due to concerns about Likely's usage and expects Schultz to carry high ownership.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection4:04

Davis Mattek expresses concern regarding Drake Maye's performance, noting he has not looked the same this year and citing potential issues with his shoulder. While the matchup against Jacksonville is theoretically a pass-funnel scenario, Mattek is skeptical of the Patriots' offensive output and shell-like play-calling, noting that any success depends on Maye playing significantly better than he has shown thus far.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

NegativeDepth Chart32:33

Emanuel Wilson received a promotion in the team's depth chart while George Holani was demoted, though Wilson remains in a backfield competition with Jaray Price.

Insight page

Geno Smith

PositiveValue40:12

Davis Mattek recommends Geno Smith as a value quarterback at $4,900, projecting he will have high volume due to the likelihood of the team trailing. He notes that Smith projects similarly to Jameis Winston but in a better game environment.

Insight page

George Holani

NegativeDepth Chart32:33

George Holani was demoted in the team's backfield depth chart.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

NegativeUsage40:22

Davis Mattek expresses skepticism regarding Isaiah Likely's fantasy value, noting that he is not consistently playing red zone snaps and is not involved in run blocking, which makes him a less attractive option than Dalton Schultz.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

NegativeProjection37:21

Davis Mattek is conflicted on Jameis Winston, noting his high-variance style can force high-volume passing, but his arm strength is questionable and his passing yards per game over the last four years is below 200. Mattek views him as a potential low-owned GPP play if the market overreacts to the 'Flacco-esque' high-volume narrative, though he notes Winston projects similarly to Geno Smith, who is in a better game environment.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveUsage41:23

Jaylen Warren is highlighted as a top running back play for the slate, coming off a career-high 50 offensive snaps. Mattek projects him for 16-17 carries, 5-7 targets, and all goal-line work, noting he is a superior play to Aaron Jones due to the Steelers' willingness to throw to backs.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

NegativeRole32:43

Davis Mattek discusses the uncertainty surrounding Jaylen Wright's role, noting that while he expected Wright to take short-yardage work, Emanuel Wilson has seen increased usage instead.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveValue29:31

Davis Mattek remains high on Jonathan Taylor as a fantasy play in every matchup this season, noting that his salary remains reasonable despite his central role in the Colts' offense.

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeUsage27:37

Davis Mattek notes that while Josh Downs runs elite routes and looks like the best player on the field, his fantasy output remains capped by the Colts' run-heavy offensive strategy, projecting a modest 12-13 PPR point performance.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

NegativeUsage29:46

Davis Mattek expresses frustration with Keenan Allen's recent performance, specifically citing a poor route execution against Kristian Fulton where Allen was beaten on a slant.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveUsage13:39

Davis Mattek expects Kenneth Walker to be extremely high-owned (30-35%) in DFS, citing his heavy involvement in the passing game with 10 targets last week and his status as second on the team in targets through two weeks. Mattek considers him an amazing play every week, noting he is a preferred target for screen passes over the team's wide receivers and is one of the best running back plays on the slate, potentially superior to Jaylen Warren.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveUsage41:53

Davis Mattek likes Ladd McConkey for DFS but notes his interest is contingent on a full practice; he expects McConkey to be less limited than in Week 2, where his snaps were reduced.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeInjury39:09

Davis Mattek is skeptical of Malik Nabers' DFS projection due to his current shoulder injury; Mattek notes that if Nabers were fully healthy at his $6,500 price point, he would be a much stronger play.

Insight page

Parker Washington

NegativeBreakout0:00

Davis Mattek identifies Parker Washington as a primary breakout candidate and an undervalued DFS play at $6,000. Mattek ranks him as the WR8 overall, projecting a high-floor performance of 15-16 PPR points per game rest-of-season. His value is driven by his role as the team's primary target, high route participation, and usage in slot and motion formations that help him avoid difficult defensive matchups.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

NegativeUsage21:01

Davis Mattek highlights a bearish sentiment regarding Quentin Johnston, citing a quote from Justin Herbert who, when asked about increasing Johnston's involvement, responded, 'I think he's got a bunch of targets.'

Insight page

Rashee Rice

PositiveUsage9:12

Davis Mattek argues that Rashee Rice is mispriced at $6,400 given his current 12% target share and poor success rate against man coverage. Mattek notes that his role has been diminished by other players, including Xavier Worthy and Emani Johnson, who have alleviated the need for the specific role Rice previously occupied.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeRole5:09

Davis Mattek expects Rhamondre Stevenson to lead the Patriots in snaps but notes his explosive play rate is lower than TreVeyon Henderson's. Mattek highlights a significant risk to Stevenson's playing time due to the team's tendency to bench players who fumble, referencing Stevenson's recent ball-security issues.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

NegativeInjury41:32

Davis Mattek notes that Rico Dowdle was seen in a boot on Wednesday due to a toe injury, leading to the expectation that he will not play. Mattek further suggests Dowdle is on the 'downside of Q' and is significantly less valuable than Jaylen Warren.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveBreakout44:13

Davis Mattek highlights Tee Higgins' strong underlying usage through two weeks, noting he is due for a breakout performance soon despite a lack of touchdowns so far.

Insight page

TreVeyon Henderson

PositiveValue4:04

Davis Mattek identifies TreVeyon Henderson as a viable DFS tournament play at $5,200, noting his explosive play potential with six touchdowns of 39+ yards in his first 18 games. Mattek views him as the primary early-down rusher for the Patriots and a high-upside pivot from Rhamondre Stevenson, especially given Stevenson's recent fumble and the team's tendency to bench players who turn the ball over.

Insight page
PositiveValue4:59

Davis Mattek highlights Trevion Henderson as a viable DFS tournament play at $5,200 due to his explosive play potential, noting he has recorded six touchdowns of 39+ yards in his first 18 games. While he may not project well in standard models, his sub-2% ownership and ability to rip off massive runs make him a high-upside pivot from Rhamondre Stevenson.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

NegativeUsage9:12

Xavier Worthy is a viable DFS play at $4,400 due to his high route participation (82%) in a positive game environment, having already accumulated more targets than Rashee Rice through two weeks. However, Mattek notes he struggles with deceleration and route nuance compared to peers like Josh Downs or Zay Flowers, and he is functionally similar to Devon Vele.

0:00We said that Parker Washington was going to be one of the breakout stars of the year. DraftKings appeared to not listen
0:06to us because Parker Washington is still only $6,000 on DraftKings. He is going to be more owned than the baseline algorithm on Run the Sims has him right
0:14now. I actually don't think the ownership will get too insane on Parker Washington. Some of the projection sites have lagged behind. I mean, 15.2 points
0:23I think is quite fair. 13.8 for Brian Thomas Jr. is way too high. That is sadly going to have to come way back
0:29down. But I mean, Jacob, the huge thing about this matchup is Mr. Christian Gonzalez will probably not be matched up on Parker Washington at all in this
0:38game. It will be all Brian Thomas Jr.
0:40for uh for Christian Gonzalez.
0:42>> Well, except for in uh in in sets where Brian Thomas Jr. is not on the field and then it'll probably be like Jacobe Myers
0:48or Josh Cameron. But uh yeah, totally agree. Um, we talked about the the New England matchup last week with DK Metaf
0:56and how Pittsburgh was kind of unlikely to do anything creative to alleviate that matchup and that was correct. Like I I I just uh when I was watching our
1:06film like Christians basically was across from him on almost every single play and I think it's just hard to do that with Washington because of the way
1:14that he's moved around in motion. They put him in budge formations. They put him in the slot. It's going to be
1:19difficult. So, I think it's it's just a great every week is a great week to be Parker Washington, man. I mean, you get
1:27to be the number one target on your offense. You get to live with this incredible creative offensive coordinator who moves you all around the
1:33formation so you never have any difficult matchups and then you also get to run all the routes. Like truly, he's God's favorite. Parker Washington.
1:42>> It's It's like actually insane how much like even if you I I believe my final preseason ranking on him for seasonal
1:49stuff was 47th overall. I mean that that just looks like laughably low now. Like even as someone who fully bought in like
1:57would you rather have Parker Washington or Drake London for the rest of the year?
2:02>> Well, I just did rest of season rankings this week. I put Parker Washington at wide receiver eight. Yeah, I and and
2:11that is that it's right about where he deserves to go. I I mean, I expect him to easily score 15 16 points per game in
2:18PPR the rest of the way. I think he will get played in cash games this week on DraftKings. The only question you really
2:24have to ask yourself going through this game is >> are the Patriots a SLOG team, Jacob? We we've seen a lot of evidence through two
2:31weeks they might be one of these SLOG teams just like they they take the play clock down to double zero. They spend a
2:37lot of time running the ball on early downs. There's a lot of punting. There's a lot of like like the Patriots last
2:42year were all good game environments.
2:44Like Drake May's breaking out of the pocket. It's exciting. Trevan Henderson's breaking off these long runs. Like they were they were a fun
2:50team and now I like I feel even for me I feel a bit reactionary being like I don't know about this Drake May stuff. Like that
3:00feels a bit reactionary to me. But uh let me throw it to you. I don't know about this Drake May stuff brother. The
3:05the offense the offense looks pretty pretty bad. I know they easily won last week, but like a lot of teams are easily
3:11beat the Steelers.
3:12>> Yeah.
3:14>> I mean, maybe part of last week because the Steelers were so uncompetitive and and that New England got that fumble
3:20pick fumble recovery touchdown and they got the Henderson run and so they kind of just didn't have to try.
3:25>> But it it is weird. I mean, you could in some ways blame it on the AJ Brown injury, but they didn't have AJ Brown
3:31last year and they still passed a ton and they looked great. So, it's it's definitely odd to see them go this far
3:38into his shell. There's all sorts of conspiracies about Drake May's shoulder.
3:43Is he nursing a secret shoulder injury?
3:45Has he just never recovered from the shoulder injury he had in last year's playoffs? I I don't really know. I think
3:51it's too early to say, but it's it's concerning. He just has not looked quite the same this year so far. And then in
3:59theory, this is a matchup where they could be fun, right? because you have Jacksonville has always been a pass funnel defense. One of the best rundies
4:07in the NFL. The way you want to attack them is by throwing. I also expect Jacksonville will put up points in this
4:13matchup. And so I think New England will have to play a lot more competitively on offense than they did last week against
4:19just kind of a hopeless Steelers team.
4:21So I think that there's paths for this game to get pretty fun. But it will depend on Drake May playing well like
4:29better than he has. I think the most interesting thing, like may maybe not even for DFS because I think the answer
4:35for DFS is you just ignore both of them, but the most interesting thing about the game is what in the world do we do with
4:42the Patriots running back projections?
4:46Like how do we expect things to look after last week? And would you consider playing any of them in DFS? My my answer
4:52on the last question would be no, but I'm still curious on what you think the the breakdown will be between them. I
4:59would consider playing Trevian Henderson because I do think that one of the things that if they are a good self- scouting team and I don't know if the
5:09Patriots are a good self- scouting team or not would be that Henderson obviously is going to be the better early down
5:16rusher than Randre just because a greater proportion of his runs are going to be explosive runs. Even if even if you do get a fair amount of two yard
5:24carries from both of them which is does seem to be the case. I mean, Henderson had the 39 yard rushing touchdown last
5:30week and then I believe he had 28 rushing yards on all of his other attempts and I think he got 14 attempts.
5:36So, not a ton of explosion there.
5:38However, you know, the rate of explosive plays handing the ball to Arandre or even throwing the ball to Arandre is going to be lower. This is a competitive
5:46game. This is a game they uh for like tiebreaker purposes, playoff purposes, I think they would really really like to win this game in general. So, I do
5:55wonder if in these spots a little bit more of the work tilts that way. And the the bounceback was immediate, right?
6:01Like Raandre fumbles and that's it. You you become Sage P Rin once you fumble.
6:06They've now had a week to sit there, watch the film, think about what they want to do. You know, I I probably can't
6:13quite get to playing Trevion, who is 5,200 just because there's a lot of good running back plays this week.
6:20But if he's like, it would actually not surprise me if he ends up simming okay because >> because of the explosive plays and
6:27because he's 5200 and because he will be like sub 2% because he >> does not project well in our stuff. He
6:33doesn't project well in ETR. He just is not going to project that well. And I I don't know. I mean, we've seen him do it
6:40so many like he has had now in his career in what uh 17 total games or I guess 18 total games, he has had now six
6:50touchdowns of 39 or more yards, which is that's a very high rate of occurrence of that for a young running back.
6:58>> Yeah, if I was going to play either, it would definitely be him. uh just kind of leaning into the range of outcomes and
7:04the chance for the explosive plays where even if he is in a 50/50, he could always rip off uh those massive runs in
7:11a way that Stevenson usually does not.
7:14So, I I agree with that angle. I probably won't play either. I my expectation is Stevenson to lead in snaps and the touches to be fairly
7:21similar is what I think is like the most likely scenario. But I get in DFS if there's low ownership, you want to lean
7:28into the possibility of other scenarios.
7:30Like there's definitely a world where that's wrong and it's, you know, maybe it's 50/50 snaps, but it's Henderson is is 65 35 and touches. That's like that's
7:38a possibility for sure.
7:39>> Yeah. Um and then I mean Brian Thomas Jr. He does feel like I know the matchup's going to suck for him, but
7:46he's 4600 and we're going to go through this, but like the list of other guys at 4600 are a bunch of guys who are not who
7:52have never put anything on film or on uh like in terms of like fantasy points per game. They're like totally like the the
7:59chalk cheap wide receiver this week is someone who's actually very near and dear to both of our hearts, Adai Mitchell. Um and like Brian Thomas Jr.
8:07is just way better than that guy probably. Well, unless unless AD Mitchell has started taking his aderall, in which case AD Mitchell might be
8:14better than Garrett Wilson, which we will uh we will we will get to. All right, this game honestly is just not
8:18really that interesting. It's going to be an early window game. I think it'll be one we don't talk about too much on
8:23the shipcast on Sunday morning. Kansas City and Miami, a very interesting game because you have to say, well, how long does Kansas City try?
8:32Like, is it like the 49ers kept scoring points in the second half? I just don't know what Kansas City will do. I do know
8:39Kenneth Walker is going to be giga mega infinity chalk like he will be as chalky probably as Bejon Robinson was last week
8:47like 30 35% he is 7400 DraftKings dollars he had 10 targets last week he right now is second on the team through
8:55two weeks in targets um the Chiefs proe did rebound last week uh after being what was they they were like they were I
9:04believe they were 32nd in the NFL after week one in PE they're now a positive a POE team. Travis Kelce is 4,500. Worthy
9:12is 4,400. He has more targets so far than Rashi Rice at 6,400. Uh, Jacob, what what say you about my Kansas City
9:20Chiefs?
9:22>> So, I mean, they're throwing more, but they're not really throwing more to the wide receivers. So, it's a little bit of
9:27like a >> um you know, obviously specifically as it pertains to Patrick Mahomes, it's a big positive like in terms of some of
9:35the discussions about like Rice and Worthy, it's like yes, they are throwing more, but almost all of the additional pass attempts are going to Walker and
9:45Johnson and Kelsey. Um and so I don't know that it like makes a huge difference kind of like they could they
9:52could give Walker five additional carriers. They could give him five additional targets. Um it It actually helps Walker. It helps Mahomes. It
9:57doesn't help the receivers. Um I mean they might have a positive POE in this game. They're probably not still going to have that many pass attempts because
10:05they're gonna they're going to win this game um by about a million. Um and they're probably going to do it really
10:11fast. So I I think it's just one of the classic cases of like which Kansas City Chiefs get the touchdowns before we're
10:20watching Chris Latakun or whoever their backup is. These Justin Fields. Justin Fields will be playing in this game, I think, for most of the fourth quarter.
10:27So, who who gets the touchdowns in before the music stops? Um, we also saw last week with Miami, they have no
10:36interest in um trying to play competitively. They they had a minus7 proe in a game that they got completely blown out of the stadium. U they lost by
10:4722 and they had 23 pass attempts. So like they're just content to kind of white flag it if you come in and you
10:54obliterate them quickly. I think Ken Walker is obviously an amazing play this week and every week and I think that if
11:05you wanted to play Patrick Mahomes and you know bet that the touchdowns flow through him and he's the one who throws
11:10four touchdowns before the game is over that that sounds completely reasonable.
11:14I would probably just play him with Walker like you capture all of the touchdowns. Walker's averaging eight targets per game, so it's not like he
11:21can't throw a touchdown to Walker.
11:23That'd be my favorite pairing. Um I think Kelsey's looked better than than he has in years and um he would probably
11:29be a favorite of the pass catchers, but I also thought that was somewhat predictable. The Colts linebacking group is like a complete joke. Um so I I think
11:37that most title >> I mean isn't every positional group for the Dolphins defense also a complete joke? Like a similar a similar degree of
11:44joke?
11:45>> Yeah, fair. Yeah. So, I'll tell you your your the eye test for Kelsey is backed up by the data. Uh Nate Ty tweeted this.
11:53Um he he got the last seven years of NextGen stats data on Travis Kelce to find his average speed and his average
12:01speed as a ball carrier through two games this year is his highest since 2018. So, people are speculating. Travis Kelce got himself in very good wedding
12:11shape and it just carried over uh into into the season. I would rank Chiefs plays Walker first, Kelsey second,
12:20Worthy third, Rice fourth, and Taekwon fifth. But Taekquin, I think, is like legitimately playable. It's just a matter of does he So last week he was
12:29down >> salary. It's got to be >> he's 3,300.
12:32>> Okay, that's fine.
12:32>> I mean, he he is legitimate like he plays full routes. I mean, he is out there. He is out there every down. He he
12:38plays more in his role than MBS or Demarcus Robinson ever did, which I think says a lot about Cyrus Allen and
12:45Jaylen Royals and Noah Gray and Jake Bing stool that they're like these guys are no good. Like let's just play. It's
12:51very funny that most of the NFL has really drifted towards the 12 personnel was like all we were talking about in
12:57the offseason and most teams have done it and the Chiefs actually have gone the other way. The Chiefs have actually said, "No, let's let's try and get as
13:04many fast guys out there as possible."
13:06I I'll do a little cope corner here on Worthy. I mean, I don't even need to cope because he actually finally had a
13:11good fantasy game in just like a very normal way. He does not look very good because he I've realized this um with
13:19Worthy, which is that he's actually too fast.
13:23So when he when he you know these plays that like Josh DS or JSN or like a really good receiver does or Z Flowers
13:31where they are running across the field, they're running horizontally across the field. They have the ability to stop and cut and decelerate and go backwards or
13:40go to the side. Worthy cannot do that at all. Worthy basically cannot decelerate at all. Um maybe someday he will learn.
13:47However, this is a $4,400 guy on a what I expect to be a positive POE offense who's going to run 82% of the routes.
13:54Like, if you just change his name from Xavier Worthy and and called him Devon Vele, I don't even really think it's all
14:00that different. I mean, Vele might be a better NFL wide receiver than Xavier Worthy. Um, I I think he is legitimately
14:06playable. To me, really, the only question is, is it worth doing a Momes Walker Chiefs passcatcher lineup? Do we think they score enough? Do we think the
14:15Dolphins are able to keep it competitive enough to get all of those guys? And >> yes, >> the answer is I don't.
14:21>> Yeah, I just don't really know.
14:23>> Yeah, I don't think it's going to be a remotely competitive game. Like like the only way I mean specifically I don't
14:28think that the Miami Dolphins have any chance to score points. So the only way it's competitive, I think, is like if
14:33the Chiefs offense just inexplicably sucks, which obviously is not what you want for DFS. So, I think if you're playing it in DFS, you're you're kind of
14:42assuming it's going to be like the 49ers last week, which is that they'd score 35 points. They do it very stress-free
14:50fashion.
14:52>> And you just hope that you kind of get the guys that get the touchdowns and that like >> I mean, what you what you need though, I
14:58think, is you need the touchdowns to match the big plays. Like the the way it would fail is like 58 yard pass to
15:07Taekquin Thornton down to the four >> down to the four >> and then Ken Walker gets the touchdown but like he only gets the touchdown. He
15:13doesn't get anything else on that drive and then it's like you know the next drive is a pick six and then it's like
15:21uh Noah Gray somehow gets a one-y touchdown. You're like ah shoot like it's 216 and nobody's at 10 points yet and you know no one's no one's going to
15:31get there. Um, but I I definitely I would play Mahomes and Walker together.
15:35And I think you can add Kelsey or Worthy if you want. Rice at $6,400 is just mispriced. Like his he's a 12% target
15:42share. So, um, we need to see a lot more from his role before we're playing him in the 6K range. I think he's eventually
15:48going to get some of the screens that Worthy is getting because >> like if you look at like Harmon did a a
15:55mid-season report on Rashi Rice. Do you know what what percent not percentile percent his success rate is versus man coverage? This is not percentiles and
16:05not like him out of 100. Just like literally the percent I assume it's like legitimately like 1%.
16:12>> Well, that would assume he's run a 100 routes against man coverage. So that can't be true.
16:16>> Uh percent what? Zero.
16:19>> It's seven. So he's he's won one route against man coverage. I that that is so like that basically I don't think Rashi
16:27Rice physically is any different than the guy he's ever been. I just think the presence of Ken Walker and frankly even
16:33Emma Johnson has just alleviated the need for what Rashi Rice offered which is some people said that in the offseason uh maybe some people that I
16:41podcasted with and those people were right and as someone frankly as someone who was so giga mega bullish on Ken Walker I should have been more like not
16:51that I was like slamming Rashi Rice actually of the Chiefs relevant skill position players I have the least amount of Rashi Rice Walker the most worthy the
16:59second most Kelsey the third most like I I saw that there. I didn't foresee worthy I did not foresee worthy getting
17:08the short area stuff that that to me was likeable >> and and I don't think and I actually don't think that will continue like but
17:16what I was getting to is like and also um Rice's zone success rates even are like way down in Harmon stuff versus
17:22what they've been in the past. He just thinks he's not healthy and like I guess like I don't know like maybe he'll get
17:26healthy. He'll probably get healthier.
17:28Um, I don't know whether he'll get back to like 2024 Rashi or not, but I I think that even despite all of Rashi Rice's
17:38flaws, he is still clearly a better yards after cash player than Xavier Worthy is, who like might be the worst yards after
17:46catch player ever seen, frankly. Um, like he gets tackled by like 180 lb corners by like one arm. It's like kind
17:54of crazy how unable to break tackles he is. So, I'm guessing as Rice gets healthier, he will start to see more of
18:02that stuff. I just think what we'll see less of is the like eight yard hooks and seven yard drags and like all of those
18:10routes that Rice used to get a ton of.
18:12But I do think he'll start seeing some more of the screens. I guess the other option would be they involve EMTT more
18:18and they just throw to the running backs even more but they throw to both of them because I mean I would rather throw
18:23screens to Walker or EMTT than any of these receivers.
18:27>> 100%. Yeah, I'm I'm completely with you there. Uh all right, you know what? A game that uh Justin Herbert really needs
18:36to have a good freaking game here because the discourse the discourse is discoursing uh the Los Angeles Chargers Bills. Stephen Steph Steven Ruiz tweeted
18:45yesterday. Uh I well and this is he tweeted why why do the anti-Herbert people never provide any visual evidence? And I I made the mistake I I
18:55got got I quote tweeted him and I said I can't I like actually can't believe we're still doing this. Like I can't
19:01believe 29-year-old Justin Herbert that we're still getting this discourse. And it was a mistake. I should not have I should not have engaged. That's on me.
19:08Um, but if Justin Herbert stinks against like a pretty bad Buffalo defense again, I I like I mean I'm sure everyone's seen
19:16their schedule now. It's like basically the most preposterous schedule in NFL history. What What do we even do with Harbaugh and McDaniel and Herbert and
19:26all these they're like they could legitimately start 0 and9. I mean the balance of probability would suggest they won't because if you just these are
19:32like weighted coin flips, but it's so bad dude.
19:36>> Yeah. I mean, I understand like I'm I'm going to always be a Herbert defender and like I certainly would be through
19:42two weeks. I he hasn't played great, but I I really do think he's the least of their offensive problems. But I also get
19:49why the Herbert haters like think that the Herbert defenders sound like a bunch of clowns because every year the Chargers add something that we think
20:01will be positive for Herbert and then we say like this is the year and then it like never works. And so it's like I get
20:07what I I I I I get what you guys are saying that like yes, all off season, you know, people like me were very high
20:16on the Mike McDaniel hiring and now we come in and we're saying like Herbert's being failed by his play caller. And
20:23it's like, you know, we actually are admitting that we're wrong. We're just not admitting that we're wrong about the thing that you want us to admit we're
20:30wrong about.
20:32>> I I would like to say I actually did have this thought. I don't know if how many times I ever verbalized it, which
20:37is the best McDaniel ever looked was when he basically got to turn Tua into like an automaton where it was like all
20:45to it was just pointing and clicking.
20:47That's not really the best use of Justin Herbert based on on what I understand.
20:51Like you kind of want to use you you kind of want to give Herbert some artistry. You want to give him some
20:57license. you want to be letting him just rip, you know, uh, 37y frozen rope dots in between the two safeties. Like you
21:07you and that just isn't really the McDaniel thing. It's kind of a weird marriage, right? Where it's like these two people who have been very successful
21:15in two different ways and then asking them to meet in the middle and the results have been very middling thus far. To to that point,
21:26I would like to say it's very possible that just because the Bills defense is so bad and the Bills are going to be up
21:31by so much, Herbert could have himself a 350 yard three touchdown day just via the just via like garbageio time in this
21:40one.
21:41>> I hope so. I mean, did you see um did you see the quote that Justin Herbert had um about Quinton Johnston?
21:52>> Uh no, but I assume it's like the most bearish thing I'm going to ever hear.
21:56>> It is. He was asked if there's a emphasis on getting Quinton Johnston more involved and he responded, "I think he's got a bunch of targets."
22:06>> Oh no, dude. Oh god. Honestly, like the the this the salary combo here of Herbert and uh Aronda Gadston at 3500
22:16I'm I'm pretty into. I will also say if DJ Moore does not play here. You've got Kincaid who basically looks like Trey
22:23McBride but on the Buffalo Bills. Uh you've got Shakir at 4,800. You've got Keon Coleman who did not practice who is
22:314300. Skyler Bell is minimum salary.
22:34Josh Palmer with Liam. Well, it's just like I I dude the the Daltton Concincaid stuff is >> Oh, the Concaid stuff is real. I'm
22:44rolling my eyes at the Keon Coleman stuff. The Concaid stuff in just beautiful.
22:48>> Yeah, but if I mean I guess we have seen Josh Allen have these giga mega >> Oh, yeah.
22:53>> Oh, if more misses if more misses and and Keon plays, then yeah, Keon's Keon's fine.
22:59>> Um, what would like this this game rules what would be your preferred stack in this game? And it rules like not only
23:06because it rules mostly because the Bills are amazing on offense and very questionable on defense, but then the Chargers stuff like even though they
23:16look like a bunch of clowns, you do get some underpriced guys because of the injuries to the tight ends.
23:24>> I don't know. I just like I I'm just so the honestly the only Charger I want to play in this game really is Gadston
23:32because I think he's underpriced for his ceiling and for the role and as far as I can tell the Chargers have not added a
23:39depth tight end. They've not called like Will Dley or Tyler Conklin. I think Tyler Conklin might even be a Lion the
23:46Lions.
23:47>> Yeah. So your your options for backup tight This is this [ __ ] is so funny dude. They're they're backup tight ends.
23:54I mean, first off, their only tight end on the roster right now who's healthy is Gadston. They have Hayden Ruchcci, who
23:59they signed off the practice squad from Jacksonville. They also have another tight end. They signed off the practice squad in Jacksonville. Not a bit. His
24:06name is Patrick Herbert. It's literally Justin's little brother. I would imagine he will probably be activated for this game. And it's like, I don't know how
24:14many snaps can those guys do. Is Scott Matlock hanging around?
24:19>> I have no idea.
24:20>> No, he's not. So, they only have they have the one they have the one fullback.
24:23They have uh >> He stinks, by the way. He's killing their offense. He does nothing. He does nothing. He's He misses so many blocks.
24:31He doesn't add anything. He put He's in motion 78 different ways, which confuses everybody. Like there's um go watch the uh the QB school Patreon Chargers
24:42videos. Like, as a Chargers hater, I think you would find it a really great use of like an hour and a half of your
24:47time to just like chuckle at the Chargers be clowning themselves over and over again. But um I I think my favorite
24:56like if I'm going to play the Herberts, I guess my favorite combination of this h it's tough because my my two my four favorite plays in this
25:05game are two quarterbacks and two tight ends. So I probably will do a half D like I might do a lineup that has both
25:13the tight ends in it. Um and then one of Allen or Herbert. Um, I do also like Lad in this game and I would like more if he
25:23gets in a full practice. I I worry a little bit like Lad already got a full practice on Wednesday, so his snaps were
25:29super reduced last week. He was very obviously their wide receiver won in week one. I'm expecting him to not be limited this week. So, I would be pretty
25:37into the LA play. And then more it's just like I'm a little bit worried that if he plays it would be what we saw from
25:45lad last week which was like limited routes not getting targeted as frequently. I I would need to see a full practice to play him in DFS. But um if
25:54we get that I I would play him. The worst outcome I guess would be if he plays but doesn't get into full
26:01practice. I wouldn't want to play more but then I also wouldn't want to play Shakir or Coleman. So I'd only want to
26:05play King Kade or James Cook. I probably won't want to play any of these jabronies even if DJ Moore is out
26:13honestly. Um I I think I'm just concaid and concaid is my favorite tight end play of the slate and if we get like not
26:22particularly great ownership on or like like not like crazy high ownership on concade like I would think concaid should project whatever Bowers is
26:33getting right now against New Orleans. I would think that his projection should honestly be that good. Um I I'm thinking about making him my gold star play. Uh
26:43just ownership ownership considerations.
26:45All right, the Houston Texans at the Indianapolis Colts really easy for me on the Texans. Uh Daltton Schultz the only playable player. The Montgomery time
26:53share stuff is so brutal that and and I just don't think he'll get a hat-tick again. My guess is that'll be his only
26:58hattick of the season. However, the Colts are Man, Schultz at 4,200. Jesus Christ. I mean, he's gonna be gig.
27:07That'll keep Concincaid from getting >> the fact that Schultz like gets these two weeks without Nico Collins against probably the two worst tight end
27:17defenses in the league is just outstanding. I mean, he's he's just going to do it again.
27:22>> Yeah, >> he's going to eat us.
27:24>> So, he is he is he's he's going to be fed. Uh Josh DS is 5700. He's he's get you're getting uh the the slappy like
27:33people have already been playing him so he's not that cheap. But Peter Peter actually said this better than I did which is like Josh Downs looked like the
27:41best player on the field against the Chiefs. He looked like he looked like JSN West and then you look at the box
27:47four and he had 14 points. So, like, can we translate Josh DS looking like Z Flowers to fantasy points or is it he's
27:56gonna run seven of the most breathtaking routes you've ever seen and and get 12.3 points?
28:02>> Probably the latter. It was really um I mean that game like killed me. um like like Shane Syken like broke my spirit in
28:12that overtime period. But the one thing I'm very happy about is that a national audience got to watch Josh DS run really
28:19sick routes because like yeah he looked he looked so good in that game. Um I mean part of the issue is that without
28:27Alec Pierce um the whole like Shane Stiken mantra of throw to score run to win that is out the window. the the new mantra is run
28:38run run and run some more. They were I think minus 10 proe. I think part of that was obviously they just like had no
28:45faith in their defense to stop Patrick Mahomes or Ken Walker and so they were just trying to eat up as much clock as
28:50possible and juice the variance of the game and that was like I think pretty clearly the correct strategy. But u I
28:56think a large part of it is just without Pierce. Like this passing game is substantially worse. And I know I've been lower on Pierce for fantasy, but
29:05from a real life perspective, it really helps to have a guy who averages like 21 yards per catch on half decent volume
29:12running a ton of routes. And like when that presence is replaced by the presence of Lacoan Treadwell or Darius Sllayton, defenses are not quite as
29:21concerned about getting burnt deep and they are allocating a lot more resources to shorten intermediate zones and to stop Jonathan Taylor. And like now the
29:31Colts weapons are Downs, who is probably the best like the best downfield weapon on the team and he's he's more of a
29:37short intermediate guy. Warren who had a a had negative 13 air yards the other night and then Keenan Allen who dude
29:46like >> he's running he's running routes >> enough I mean that pick that he gave up like was so on him where it's just like
29:55all right man like you're one-on-one like here's a slant against Christian Fulton it's like he got like fathered by Fulton on that route so I think I think
30:03Dance is a totally fine play but if it wasn't like my favorite player on my favorite team. I could probably acknowledge that there's ways where this
30:12fails where like either the offense just gets completely shut down by Houston or actually we win the game, but if we do
30:19then we probably only attempt like 26 passes um and like it's not like downs to some big end zone threat. So, there's
30:26a lot of paths to Josh Downs having 12 or 13 PPR points here and you feeling kind of uninspired. Um I do quite like
30:34Jonathan Taylor. I I like him in in every single matchup basically every week this year and his salary is still pretty darn reasonable.
30:43>> Yeah, I think you're I think you're probably right. I mean, this game is just I I don't think this game is going
30:47to be very fun. I think both these teams just kind of want to run the ball and get through the game and move on. Uh I
30:54mean, big big game for both these teams, I suppose, in terms of win loss type stuff. The Texans >> Yeah.
31:02>> O and two in a division full of 0 and2s.
31:05>> Yeah. Yeah, it's it's very very relevant. I I probably will not be able to resist the siren song of Josh DS's
31:12very very fancy and aesthetically pleasing 12.2 points. It will I'll tell you what, it will feel a lot better than begging DK Metaf to catch a ball, which
31:21I did in a lot of my lineups last week.
31:23Like at least >> at least I'll feel that if Josh Downs is targeted, he will he will catch the ball. Yeah, like I I'm just gonna keep
31:31showing about QB school today, but I he also did one on the Steelers, which was hilarious that he chose to do one on the
31:36Steelers. That is funny.
31:37>> But um but he uh anyways, he he referred to DK Metash catching style as uh someone trying to grab the last crouton
31:49at the salad bar with two wooden spoons.
31:55>> That is so good. That is that is phenomenal. Phenomenal content. Wow. The Seattle Seahawks with maybe Sam Darnold playing according to the most recent
32:05update from Mike McDonald. We will we will see about that. It will certainly be Marcus Mariota starting for the Washington Commanders. The only playable
32:14player in this entire game to me is myth Mr. uh Smith and Jigba. Your question just being what does his projected
32:22ownership end up relative to the other very high point guys? because the the uh commander secondary has not covered themselves in glory. Just gave up a huge
32:33game to CD Lamb the week before that.
32:37Gave up a big game to Dantavian Wixs actually, which is very funny. I mean, they're just they're just a really bad
32:43secondary. But like Price, even assuming that Price plays, I was into him last week. I assumed that he was going to
32:50rest the short yardage work away from Emanuel Wilson. That did not happen. In fact, Emanuel Wilson got promoted.
32:55George Helani got demoted. So looking like I will probably end up being wrong about Jerian Price. They are in no way,
33:02shape or form going to unleash him. I don't think >> I'm not quite as sure about that. I thought Price had a meaningfully better
33:09role before he went out. He he was out touching Wilson uh 14 to7 at the time that he went out. He started every
33:16single drive that even included the drive right after a fumble. Like um he seemed like he was the very clear lead
33:22to me on early downs. I know Wilson got that goal line sequence. Price did get a carry at the seven um before Wilson got
33:32the three from the four in and then Price also got another carry at the five later in the game. So I I don't like I'm
33:39not so sure that this goal line split is that different from like Bree Hall Brilin Allen where Bree is very liable
33:47to get touches from the three or the four but yeah it's probably Brilin if it's literally at the one. Um, so I I'm
33:54still into Price. I I we'll need a full practice for sure, but I think we're going to get it. He already practiced
33:59yesterday.
34:00So full practice. I think Price would be in my player pool. Like whether he makes it into a lineup, I'm not really sure.
34:06There's other good running back options.
34:07But I I I like directionally would like to be on the side of buying on Jarian Price because I think last week was more
34:15bullish than market sentiment believes.
34:17Um the only like the only other guy I would play in this game would be JSN. I don't think I want to play any of the
34:23Washington side with Marcus Marriota against the Seattle defense. That that feels like we're getting like 47 plays and seven points.
34:33>> It's going to be really tough. I I would like for Stefon Diggs to continue his ascension as an old man, showing that it
34:40can still be done. Two touchdowns last week. Very good for the best ball bags.
34:44Not interested in playing him here. I mean, I would be very interested in playing the $3,800 Seattle Seahawks defense. The only issue is unlike uh
34:50well the freaking Buccaneers defense did not work last week. Um no shout out to to Baker Mayfield and the the I like I
34:59haven't even looked at Survivor stuff yet this week because of my few remaining teams. I'm just so bummed out about the the run out last week. Just
35:07absolutely horrible.
35:09Don't really have anything else to say about this game. The Tennessee Titans at the New York Football Giants. So this is
35:15frankly if you had the answer to this question um you you will be able to generate yourself at least some theoretical Sims dollars this week
35:22because if we get old Jamus you know I miss the old Jamus the I don't care if I throw a pick Jamus the I'll throw a 37y
35:31Hail Mary to Malik Neighbors Jamus if we get that Jamus he's one of the best plays of this late Neighbors is a good play despite the
35:38shoulder injury likely is a good play fields is probably fine you know whatever however the recent vintages of Jamus, including the Browns version of Jamus, the New
35:49Orleans Saints version of Jamus, and the version of Jamus that we saw on Monday Night Football against Rams. You know, basically people are pegging all of the
35:56Jamus stuff on oh what uh uh the the Detroit Lions game, 366 yards, two touchdowns last year. Basically every other start we've
36:07got out of Jamus other than the they had a snow game on Thursday night football at the Browns. He was awesome. But his
36:13yards per game as a passer in the last four years is below 200 when he's gotten starts.
36:21>> I don't know, man. I I don't know if I can do $4,000 J. It is a good matchup.
36:26>> I mean, he was still pretty fun on the Browns for that stretch just based on like Yeah, like he was horribly inefficient,
36:37but he was still just like plunging catchable air yards out there. I mean, he still had that Broncos game, didn't he? Didn't he have like 500 yards and
36:46four touchdowns and four picks against the Broncos or something when he was at the Cleveland with with the Cleveland? I think he I think it was like a Monday
36:53night game, wasn't it?
36:55>> We're going to find out. I will pull up his Pro Football reference page. Uh, so Cleveland would have been what year?
37:012024. It would have been 2024 cuz it was the year that Jerry Judy like went nuts.
37:06>> He did. He did indeed have >> Yeah. Broncos 34 of >> four 497 and four with three picks.
37:12Yeah. Like I want that dude back. I don't know if that dude exists. Um >> his arm looks pretty shot.
37:21>> Yeah, it I guess the variance with him is so wide. Like it's so funny. Like literally the week before that game he
37:27goes 18 for 27, 219, zero touchdowns, one interception, you know?
37:33Yeah, the variance is high. I mean, I guess the big issue that I would have is that Kevin Stfansky like was willing to call high pass rate
37:41teams prior to Jamus and then with Jamus you really dial it up and Harbaugh like his preference would
37:52be to not do that. I guess the question is do your preferences matter when your quarterback is Jameus Winston? Like I I
37:58do feel like to some degree these quarterbacks like a Joe Flacco or a Jameus Winston almost just necessitate a certain style of offense because nothing
38:06else works.
38:07>> Nothing else works.
38:08>> Like I I mean I don't think that Shane Stiken like if you had asked him before a lot of the Flacco games like hey is
38:13your plan to drop back 48 times today.
38:15Like he probably would have said no that's not the plan but it just kind of ends up happening. And so I wonder if
38:21maybe that's just what we fall into. And then there was a lot of commentary on Jav's arm being dead. I mean, it looked
38:28pretty darn dead. I guess like what I would wonder is has his like has his arm ever been that great? Like it was really great with the
38:37Bucks early on. I don't think it was actually that great with Cleveland either. Like I don't know that he necessarily actually has like a particularly
38:47good deep ball ability. He just kind of heaves like balls downfield like in a the vague direction of the receiver and
38:56like that's usually kind of helpful and fine. I don't know. I I'm very conflicted on what we'll see out of Jamus. If if he's like not very owned
39:06because everyone is saying, "Okay, Harbaugh's just going to keep him in check and it's going to go terribly."
39:11then I would like to play him some because I do think that there's some upside that that like no one can change
39:18the Jamus experience. But if everyone is assuming, oh my god, it's Flamus, like we're we're getting 50 drop backs, 350 yards, three picks, three touchdowns,
39:28then it's like, okay, I I'm going to bet the other side of it. So, I'm just curious, sorry, what the market does.
39:35>> I would I would guess uh pretty early. I would guess he actually does not end up getting played. I I would think that his
39:42projections are going to be low enough around that he just is not going to project that well. Therefore, he will not sim that well, therefore he will not
39:49play that well. Neighbors, I don't think is going to project that well. If Neighbors had not gotten banged up and $6,500 Neighbors was fully healthy, like
39:57raring, good to go, then I think that probably would again, it probably would be a a different thing. It doesn't look
40:04like we're doesn't look like that's happening, which is a huge bummer. Uh, but I mean Jamus basically projects the same as Gino and Gino is in a much
40:14better game. Not not maybe not a better matchup, but a much better game and has two healthy stacking options. Um, that
40:22you know and people like Isaiah likely, but I don't know if they like him enough to get to get Jamus in there. I it does
40:29feel kind of silly to waste a Jamus spot. Although I mean we will probably get big answers on if the Jamus experience still exists on if
40:39Flameus can still be found cuz if he does have a crazy game here. Although I do wonder if the games you want Jameus
40:45in are not these like not the one that the Giants can win with him just handing the ball off to Scataboo and Naji
40:52Harris. Like they could still win this game pretty easily. I wonder if you want Jamus as a nine and a half point dog
40:57throwing pick sixes against the Eagles or whatever. That that feels more what you want the Jamus stuff.
41:06Yeah. Yeah. I I agree. Right. And so it could just be like this could be a game that they just actually dominate, right?
41:12And then you don't get any of it. So >> yeah. Which would be >> like who who do you prefer out of um
41:16Likely and Schultz?
41:19>> Uh I prefer I prefer Schultz.
41:22>> I'm with you.
41:22>> I prefer I prefer Schultz by a lot. I I just I am having a I am having a hard time
41:30buying into the likely thing. I I know.
41:33I guess I should. Everyone else is buying in, but I'm I'm having a hard time with it personally. He still is not
41:38playing all the red zone snaps. Still is not run blocking. I don't know. It seems to be a bit of an issue. Uh the
41:43Cincinnati Bengals traveling to play at the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jaylen Warren plays a careerhigh in snaps last week.
41:5250 offensive snaps, the most he's ever played. Rico Dowel toe injury seen in a boot on Wednesday. I would guess that
42:00Mr. Dael is not playing. Uh Jaylen Warren for for all intents and purposes looks like basically the best play at running back on this slate. Maybe
42:09outside of of one Mr. Kenneth Walker.
42:12The question is I I don't believe we've actually ever gotten a Jaylen Warren spot like this where where Naji or his
42:18or Gainwell >> No, Naji refused to get hurt. It was so annoying.
42:23>> There was a couple weeks where he was on the injury report and like oh my god it's going to happen and then it'd be
42:26like oh like he's going to play. was like, "Ah, who needs this?"
42:30>> Um, so maybe Rico is going to do the same thing to us. But I I agree. It sounds like Rico is on the D side of Q
42:37and Jill Warren would be an outstanding play. Um, if that's the case, absolutely.
42:44>> Yeah. I I I would be down I would think he would probably be like in almost every lineup play. Like he's a better
42:51play than Aaron Jones was last week at similar salary. Yeah.
42:56>> Yeah. cuz cuz the Vikings don't throw to backs.
42:58>> Yeah.
42:59>> Um even though Aaron Jones is a good pass catcher, they just don't really throw to backs systemically.
43:04>> But Aaron Rogers will throw backs as much as humanly possible. So yeah, I think with Warren, he's also looked really good this year. He's like way
43:10better than Dow. I think he should be getting more of the work anyway. Yeah, we could we could pretty much pencil in
43:15like 16 17 carries and five to seven targets for Jaylen Warren and all the goal line work. I'd be pretty excited.
43:24haven't gotten uh have not seen an update on Michael Pitman Jr. yet. I do want I like I think he'll probably be
43:30out again. Um would you play Muth? Would you play Would you play Jeremy? I mean Jeremy is I I suppose probably
43:37>> I think I think play. He practiced yesterday.
43:40>> Okay. Well, there you go. Never mind. Uh and then last week was a crazy good Jamar Chase spot just because he was
43:46only about 12% owned. Uh I don't know. I don't know if I view this as as the same. I mean, he's a he's a good player,
43:54the same that he always is. Uh although these AFC North divisional games do tend to just be like some of the most boring,
44:01least fun football slogs of all time.
44:04Like it's I mean, this game is totally fine and it's totally fine to play Chase, but I don't think this is like a
44:09slam dunk Chase spot or anything.
44:13>> Yeah, he's he's always in play because he's Jamar Chase. I think the one guy on Cincy that I think would be I mean I
44:20don't know we live in like a projection based world now but Tiggins has just had like um really good usage I think
44:27through two weeks and has not like erupted cuz he hasn't scored a touchdown and he had a couple close calls taken
44:34away in the first game and then they just haven't been forced to like throw a lot yet. I mean they probably won't be
44:39forced to throw a lot yet here. I don't expect Pittsburgh to put up a whole ton of resistance, but I do think TE's
44:44underlying usage is float a little bit under the radar. So, I think he's going to he's due for a blowup spot, I think,
44:51in the next week or two.
44:53>> All right. I love I I I like the call. I like the I like a a good do T- spot. Uh
44:59All right. A game that is just like I think is actually going to end up being quite owned. The Detroit Lions in uh for
45:05them what is a must-win spot against the Jets. their their season's going to be real sideways if they if they find a way
45:11to lose to the Jets. But we've got Gibbs at 8,800 which is again just very interesting because I actually don't think his ownership is going to be
45:19insane this week like it was in week one. Like week one it was like I think he was like 55% owned in the spy or
45:24something. I don't think that will happen to him this week. I think St.
45:28Brown will draw some of it. St. Brown an absolutely nuclear start to the year with four touchdowns. Jameson Williams has been awful. Then on the other side
45:35of this game, you've got Adnai Mitchell actually has one more target than Garrett Wilson this year. Garrett Wilson is 6,300. He does score the touchdown
45:42last week. Adnai Mitchell is 4,300 coming off of an 11. I think he had 180 air yards in that game and drew one uh
45:50big deep DPI. Adnai Mitchell is your chalk cheap wide receiver of the week.
45:55Surely that has never gone wrong before and will not go wrong here. Surely he will just easily uh you know focus in
46:01and provide value. And then you've also got Gino at 4,900. I mean I do think I think I would rather play Gino than
46:09Jamus even if the the volume will not be the same.
46:13>> Yeah, I agree with you. I would definitely rather play Gino. I think I mean I think the volume is going to get
46:17there because I I think that they're probably going to fall behind pretty rapidly and then they're going to have to keep up. So, I'm in on on the Gino
46:26play for sure. And I'm I'm definitely I think I mean I don't even think you need to choose between AD and Garrett. I
46:33think you just play a both. Personally, that that'd be my first preference. You know, if you prefer to play Bree and and
46:40one of the wide receivers, I think that's also completely reasonable. Um I expect Bree will get plenty of work in the pass game here as well and makes him
46:49very stackable with Gino. And then Mason Taylor's going to miss. I think that's probably one of the big questions on the
46:54slate is um as it pertains to tight end like obviously going to be a lot of ownership on Schultz. Kelsey's interesting likely
47:03is interesting.
47:05>> Spend up guys are interesting but like could do you think that we're going to get 80% routes Kenyan Sadi without Mason
47:12Taylor or are they going to use Rucker in the Mason Taylor role and then going to get a rug pull?
47:19>> We'll get more snaps. we'll get more routes, but it just doesn't seem to be the way. It it feels like everyone maybe
47:27kind of took the wrong message from the the the rushing touchdown in week one.
47:30Like, oh, dude, I didn't think I was going to get basketball points from Kenyan Sadi in week one. But it's also
47:34like, okay, we know this guy's really good and we want to use him, but we have to use him in these hyperspecific
47:40designed ways because we just don't trust him to be a full-time tight end. I I would imagine we are going to see a
47:45lot of uh Jeremy Rucker and Moali Cox in in this game. We'll see a decent amount of uh Andrew Beck in this game who is
47:56listed as a fullback but says he practices with the tight ends. I mean, we'll see. I I would love to be able to
48:01play Kenyan Sadi here, but I think it is probably just a little bit too fancy.
48:04And he's he's not minimum salary. If he was 2500, I probably would have been into it, but he is 3500. So, probably
48:11just probably just play Daltton Schultz.
48:13probably just play. He's the same price as a Ronda Gadston who is just like a way better a way better play. I I mean
48:19Garrett Wilson is going to end up being the leverage play in this game because the chalk is going to condense on Gibbs
48:25St. Brown 80 Mitchell and then what what percentage of people are going to go back to the J Mo well or is this going
48:31to be one of the weeks that you can actually play J Mo at like 6% instead of 12%?
48:35>> I'm going back. I'm going back. I'm going back.
48:38>> You got to try. Sell me. Sell me on it.
48:41Well, it's just this like this is what Jameson Williams is. Like we all know what Jameson Williams is.
48:46>> Like I I'm sorry. Did you expect something different? You were expecting Jameson Williams was going to have, you know, a floor of 14 points per game
48:55every every week. Like no. If he did, he would have gone in round two. I mean, the reason he was a round five pick was
49:01that you are getting one of the higher ceilings in the league, but that comes with being frustrated half the time. I
49:10mean, his usage in week one was incredible. He dropped several footballs and he ruined like what should have been a blowup game um into a very mediocre
49:21performance and then he also got tackled on the one which wasn't his fault. And then week two was just kind of the
49:26classic Jameson Williams experience which is like some games he gets lost in the sauce especially because they're trailing basically the entirety of the
49:34game. They're down 21 nothing immediately. And yeah, when you're down that much, like the defense isn't going to give up big plays down the field.
49:42They're going to make you earn it one first down at a time. Burning clock on along the way. And that means that the
49:47targets are going to go to Almanra and Gibbs and Leaporta. It's not really going to go to JMO. Um, I expect them to
49:52play from ahead in this game. I expect they'll have more opportunities for big plays in this game. I think JMO is a is
49:59a pretty pretty nice play. I mean, it's not you're not really getting much of a discount on the salary, unfortunately.
50:045,400. It's like completely normal salary, but I will probably try to play some JMO. And I'm definitely into playing Garrett. Like, I I don't I'm I'm
50:14not buying the uh like that that AD is the one or or whatever. I mean, I think that also like we we have to we have to
50:22be cognizant of the fact that AD Mitchell's rate of converting air yards into real yards remains highly >> below. Yeah, highly highly variable.
50:32>> Highly highly variable. Yes. Yeah. Most most certainly.
50:35>> But I think he's obviously a very good player. Yeah. He's going to get a bunch of targets.
50:39>> Yes. Uh the Carolina Panthers traveling to play against the Cleveland Browns. We we have basically uh one play from this
50:47game unless you want to be a cokehead, which is well Chuba Hubard and the Carolina Panthers defense priced at 3,000. I will be going back to the well
50:55and the Panthers defense. And frankly, Chuba Hubard with no thorns in his side playing as a favorite. The the Panthers are number one in the NFL through two
51:04weeks in Pier Oe. Bryce Young is cooking. Some of my reservations from last week look really silly. Uh Josh Norris reached out to let us both know
51:15that the plan is to let Bryce Cook basically regardless. And this is frankly the the defensive quality here is about as bad as the Bears defense
51:22that they absolutely sliced and diced in week one. they'll be playing with a lead in this game.
51:30>> I I love the Bryce film so far. Um and and to back up how he looks, he in his first three seasons of his career, he
51:40had three total games with 8.0 yards per attempt or higher. He's now hit that mark in his first two games of the
51:47season. So, he could he could match his career total this week.
51:52Uh, I like was not particularly impressed with the Browns. I'm super tilted that they ruined all my survivor pools. I think that that was mostly just
52:02Baker missing open guys repeatedly. I don't think it was like the Browns secretly having a great defense.
52:09I think that Carolina is probably going to thrash this team and I think they're probably going to look pretty good doing
52:14it. I'm into all of the main four Carolina Panthers. I mean, they're like they're fun. They're kind of like the Teeu Cowboys right now where you have
52:24>> very much the Teeu Cowboys. Yeah.
52:27>> Yeah. Like you have a fun like pass focused team with two really great receivers and you have like a running
52:35back who's not that inspiring but he gets all of the touches and is good enough and then you have, you know, a
52:43pocket quarterback who's willing to sling it pretty accurately. So, yeah, it's it's a really really fun team to play for DFS and I'm I'm definitely I'm
52:53definitely going to be into it. I suspect I'm going to be into it all year.
52:57>> Um I have not gotten there as much with the Coker stuff and I talked about this on the show last week. Like it's just
53:03one of these fantasy football memes that passed me by and and the data is demanding that we take it seriously. I
53:09mean, do we do we want to talk about Conpion or Boston? The the usage for both of them has been quite good. It's
53:14just I mean Boston just keeps scoring these touchdowns. He he looks great Denzel Boston does. But uh what are your what are your thoughts there?
53:23>> I'd probably rather play KC just because I assume most people would rather play Boston off of the off of the touchdowns.
53:30But if that's a wrong read by the time we get to Sunday, I would switch it. I'm happy playing either of them as a bring
53:34back. Um you know who I won't play is Quinn Shodkitz. He needs to average four yards per carry one single time before I
53:42play him again.
53:44I don't, you know, I don't want to say it's Jover for Chudkins, but I think that I will say it's it's certainly on
53:51pause for for Chudkins right now. Like I like So, we're in that we're in that Yahoo League together, the Roto World
53:56one.
53:57>> And I I am sitting Judkins on my bench for Tferg. Like, you got to you got to you got to show me something, brother.
54:03And I I'm seeing very little. A game I I wish I could answer what I think is going to happen in this game, but what a
54:10what a bizarre game. the Minnesota Vikings with Kyler back again. We've seen about six plays with Kyler at quarterback. Then they played the
54:18monsoon last week or traveling to play at the Tampa beer Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming off a loss to the Cleveland Browns. You've got this insane blitz
54:27heavy defense from floors. You've got Jefferson, who I actually think after last week, I don't do not think he will be 15% owned. I think you'll see single
54:35digits on $7,500 Justin Jefferson. Aaron Jones is now listed as questionable. He injured his knee last week and then came back in with a brace on. Don't know if
54:45he's going to be able to play. What do they go DJ Dallas? Do they just say we cannot win with DJ Dallas, so let's do
54:51Deont Clayborn? Do they I I don't know what they do. The only guy I know for sure who's a good play in this game is
54:58uh Maris Bucky Irving at 6,300 DraftKings dollars.
55:03>> Yeah, love Bucky Irving. Uh he was seventh among all running backs in snap rate last week. Looks super dynamic.
55:10getting work in the run game, getting work in the pass game. The only thing we still haven't seen is like what happens
55:15if they get down to the one yard line, but I I don't see anything that suggests that like there would be a designated
55:21goal line back. I think Bucky will probably receive the majority of the goal line work just like he receives a majority of the work for uh my friends,
55:30the Shawn Tucker Bros. Uh he was uh played no snaps last week while active.
55:36We'll see if that continues. So, love Bucky.
55:41I I'm going to need I Bua's price to drop quite a bit before he enters my consideration set. I would potentially
55:49play Ted Hurst at 3K. He continues to be very involved. Uh so, if you need to like really save salary, that's kind of
55:55fun. But probably I would just be looking at Bucky. And then I don't know what's going to happen with the Vikings
56:00running backs. Like if Aaron Jones is active, I think I just have other guys I prefer playing like $1,500. I don't feel like
56:08I'm getting any sort of discount there.
56:10If he's not active, I have no idea what to make of it. Like I mean they're going to be cheap, but I'm probably just not
56:17even going to bother. Like I what would it be like some committee between Jerome Ford, De Man Claybourne, and DJ Dallas
56:22against the Tampa Runy? Like that's just a no thanks for me.
56:26I do think that probably the idea would be let's play DJ Dallas until it becomes unviable. Like their plan would be for
56:36every touch to be for DJ Dallas and then it's like okay DJ's tired. We got to get him out of there or DJ has absolutely
56:43nothing. Let's see what Claybourne can do. Like >> that can't be DJ Dallas. That's not a plan. That's a bad plan. If the if the
56:50if I think that's most certainly the plan because if the plan was not for DJ Dallas then Deon Claybourne would have
56:56been a bigger part of the plan last week because you I mean we talked about >> the plan last week was Aaron Jones
57:01because the plan was dear God I don't want to play any DJ Dallas or >> but we talked about this last week the
57:07plan it's a bad it's a bad idea it was a bad idea to give Aaron 24 touches it was like a it was like a bad idea going in
57:14>> just like it was a bad idea to run 82-year-old Joe Biden for president like it didn't work >> it didn't it didn't work. It did not
57:21work at all. And I think that that that shows to me that their plan would just be to do the same with DJ Dallas cuz cuz
57:26they could have given Deon Claybourne more touches last week in the >> But they could have given Dallas more touches. They didn't want to do that
57:32either.
57:33>> I mean, Dallas played a lot more than Claybourne did. I think he got like 15 snaps. Claybourne got two, I believe, in
57:38the end.
57:39>> I thought it was like eight and four. I I don't I could be wrong.
57:42>> Maybe that No, you you could be right. I just I remember being excited that Claybourne got a rush at all. I was
57:48like, "Okay, let's go. We got Dean Claybourne season."
57:51>> I you're you're right that probably none of them are a play. And frankly, I also wouldn't really want to play Aaron Jones
57:56because Minnesota does not throw the ball to their running backs and the Tempe Run defense is >> Oh, eight. So, you were right about the
58:02two, but I was right about the eight.
58:04Yeah, eight and two.
58:05>> Um Ted Hurst route participation for a $3,000 player is really good. The >> the the sad thing is is he uh dropped
58:14what would have been the uh the game winner.
58:16>> Oh. You think I'm not aware of that?
58:20>> You think I didn't see that play?
58:22>> Not not ideal there. But Jaylen McMillan is back and playing um and just not playing. He played C. He he played six
58:31snaps last week.
58:33>> I mean, I'm guessing he will eventually work up into a larger role, but like I don't know. I would be surprised, I
58:39guess, if he went from I'd be surprised if he went from missing practice and games for six weeks to six snaps to 50 snaps. Like that, it seems I
58:50I wouldn't have even been that surprised if he played 50 snaps last week, but knowing that the baseline was six, I'm
58:56I'm guessing that he has either just been passed by or that they have a slower ramp up plan in mind for him. And
59:03I mean there's some TZ snaps that Jel McMillan could come for before he even gets to the Ted Hurst snaps. So I'm I'm
59:09not that worried about Ted Hurst snaps.
59:11And frankly, they need Ted Hurst because Chris Gobin looks very slow. And Amecha Ibuka like I don't know just
59:22>> he doesn't he just doesn't do it for me.
59:24Like that's like a very it's a very Davis Mat analysis, but like I just he does not do it for me.
59:29>> He doesn't do it for me either, man. I'm I'm with you. It just like he he has felt like I just have not been able to
59:34get with the market on Guka this whole time. I I just I've been I've been out.
59:39I I'm I'm actually with you on that one.
59:42He just doesn't look draw targets like run like he just does not seem like a receiver that like you know he's being
59:50drafted next to Jaylen Wadd and Lad Maki and these guys and I'm like okay I see it with these guys way more than I see
59:56it with Ibuka.
59:58>> Yeah. I I like uh would will you be playing Kyler and Jefferson? I assume yes. You love >> Yes. And in fact, Kyler Kyler is going
60:05to find himself being very very popular because he is very likely to be the cash game quarterback. And anytime that someone is the cash game quarterback,
60:14they are just going to be a little bit more owned than you would um anticipate.
60:19>> Yeah.
60:20>> I guess that's my concern is that this game builds itself in too obvious of a way, right? It's just Kyler Bucky
60:24Jefferson.
60:25>> Kyler Bucky. If you want to play this game, that's how you play the game. Then it's like, okay, maybe throw on Hawk or
60:30something. But >> yes. Yeah. Uh, all right, let's move on to the next game, which is the Arizona Cardinals at the San Francisco 49ers.
60:39Uh, I I mean, I'm pretty done playing uh Arizona players. I mean, McBride obviously is a good play. So, interesting spots here. Does Evans play
60:49after injuring his hip last week? I would guess yes, but Demarcus Robinson is going to be out, which means I think
60:56probably a increased reliance on KD. His route scaled up. He scored a touchdown last week. He's only 4,800. Quite nice.
61:04You also have, I mean, legit 3K guys.
61:07You have Jordan Watkins. You have Jacob Cowing. It was Cowing who played last week as the the third wide receiver. The
61:1549ers look fully operational on offense.
61:17I mean, just total Death Star mode uh engaged for the first two weeks of the season. The CMC usage rebounded last
61:24week as was the most obvious thing of all time. And CMC, well, just, you know, given the proximity to Jir Gibbs, the
61:31the week one anchor effect. I mean, this like we're going to be talking about CMC losing work to Caleb Black in like week
61:38seven because people saw it on Netflix on the opening game of the season and Christian McCaffy will like easily be the second highest scoring player uh in
61:46fantasy. And then you know what? Mr.
61:48Perty, dude, just Pury is just good. I just want like this guy is so good. I I mean, he's an awesome play here. Stack
61:54him with whoever you want on the 49ers, I think.
61:58>> Yeah, this is this is a pretty simple situation. The the only Cardinal that I would ever consider playing here is Trey
62:03McBride. Um, every week I think Trey McBride is a great play and then I'm like, ah, I don't want to spend that
62:08much at tight end and then I find another thing to do and he's he's awesome. Um, so I don't know if I'll get
62:14there again. But I mean, most other than McBride, I'm just playing ners and like take your pick, you know? It's like
62:24Pury, Debo, KD, Evans, if he gets in a full practice, is fine, but he's really overpriced, I think. So, pro probably
62:31mostly into Perty, CMC, KD, and then maybe Debo if Evans is out. But all all these guys are really fine. I think
62:38they're going to put a bunch of points on Arizona.
62:41>> Yeah. Yeah. I'm uh I'm I'm with that.
62:44Do you do you have a thought between cowing Watkins Cadrell Haj?
62:51>> Yeah.
62:52>> Uh, no. No. I think it would just like No, Dro. If Evans doesn't play, I just think it's just going to consolidate
63:00more and more volume on CMC Kill Depot.
63:03Like I'm sure I'm sure one of these guys will get a couple of targets, but I'm not playing them.
63:08>> So, historically, it's gone one of two ways.
63:12the volume entirely consolidates on the good players to the point that like Cowing and Watkins and Cadral Hodgej receive no catches, no targets. It's
63:23pure empty calories. Or >> every once in a while Shanahan will gift us a 10 for 186 and one from Richie
63:30James, a Kendrick Bourne backtoback hundredyard game out of absolutely nowhere. I have no way of knowing uh which one of these that it my guess
63:39would be with KD and Debo there. I I would guess it would just be a huge consolidation particularly for Debo like
63:48Debo could have like 11 receptions or something. Uh I I think so. But I don't the Evans ro I guess the the Evans role
63:56is the one that again historically that role has been the one that more random guys have popped in than in the Debo I
64:03role. But who would even play that role?
64:05Because like theoretically next up would be Stribbling and then next up would be D-Rob, but they're all gone. Like Jordan Watkins maybe.
64:16>> It'd be Jordan Watkins, >> I guess. I don't I have a hard time thinking Jordan.
64:20>> Isn't Jordan Watkins just our generation's Richie James also punt?
64:24>> Could be.
64:24>> Yeah, >> could be. I mean, he did have exactly the Richie James game like for Lane Keifin in uh college one time where
64:34after Trey Harris was out for the season, he had um like truly one of the wildest games and I'm like saying this
64:42really slowly so I can stall. He had Yeah, it was Here's the game. It was right after Trey Harris went out for the
64:49year. He played Arkansas. He had eight for 254 and five.
64:54>> That's a really good game. So, if he has eight for 254 and five here, he's probably in the optimal.
65:01>> I'm I'm I'm I'm into I'm into that.
65:04Yeah, I'm I'm very into that, actually.
65:06I I think I think I mean, we're not going to Well, actually, you know what?
65:10We will know. We will know about Evans.
65:12We We'll get information on that. He's not going to be a game.
65:14>> We'll get the Shaft overnighter for sure.
65:16>> Yes. Uh the Las Vegas Raiders against the New Orleans Saints. My my real interesting way to diagnose this one is
65:26Genty has a mediocre fantasy game last week. Not like a terrible game or anything uh in a game that the Raiders
65:32win.
65:34Does does that take his ownership at 7100 from 15 20% down to like 8 n%.
65:42Because I would love >> I would love to just play Ashen Genty every slate for the rest of the year.
65:47This guy is so [ __ ] good at football.
65:49It's crazy. Yeah, I wish he was good enough of football to have not dropped three catches last week, but I'm I'm not
65:55that worried about him long term. I think that would have happened in the past. I think people are just going to
66:00look at the uh the 21 carries and the seven targets and just keep jamming it probably is more how we how we play DFS
66:08these days. Um either way, I think he's a great play and I will be into him. Um I'm I mean I'm just going to keep
66:16playing this shock train probably until the wheels fall off. like I'm I'm open to Shak L Vle or Jawan like that seems to be a
66:26viable way to play every week. Um I'm I'm curious for two spots from your perspective.
66:34One is will you play Brock Bowers first week back which was famously an incredible thing to do last season. Um, and then
66:44two, if Travis CTN misses this game, he was limited with a hammy on Wednesday.
66:52What could get you to play Alvin Chimera in 2026?
66:55>> No, nothing. Nothing. Because we've already seen we've already seen why Chimera would not be a play, which is there would be some there would be some
67:04running back we don't even know who would end up getting touches. Like it'd be like, okay, well CJ Donaldson is going to play the Chimera role. that
67:10Cimera will play the ETN role and then let's go, you know, let's go to the Saints depth chart and figure out what
67:15running back >> or Kre just get repromoted.
67:17>> We would learn um Zamir White >> Zamir White is on the practice squad. So yeah, there you go. I mean they it's
67:24already over. Like no, there's no chance I would play Alvin Chimera when >> that's the correct answer because I mean Chimera's best outcome is probably
67:32having the week one ETN role that he had without Chimera and that role sucked.
67:37That roll was >> um Chimera, by the way, last week 14 touches for 22 yards. Awesome stuff.
67:44>> Yeah, really, really bad. Really, really, really, really not ideal there.
67:48Um, so the the Vle and Alb stuff is fascinating because I mean they're they're both having a great start to the
67:56year and Joan Johnson having a pretty good start to the year as well. The Saints play volume has been preposterous through two weeks.
68:05Actually, I want to I want to look at the actual number of plays up because I I'm sure >> Well, they ran like 90 in week one
68:11because it was an OT game. I think they were back into the like mid60s.
68:15>> The The Saints have run This is so funny, dude. The Saints have run 150 plays on offense. The Titans have run a
68:22100 The Saints have had a whole extra game over the Titans, the Browns, the Dolphins, the Broncos. The Cowboys have only run 106 because they've just been
68:31pretty uh efficient. But it's just like meh that's a lot of plays. 90 plays and 60 plays is is a lot of plays.
68:39>> Um and I'm worried basically I'm worried that in any situation where a team is able to just run and just kind of handle
68:46the Saints that is like we're we're over we're definitely over our skis on Vle. I mean the skis the skis are not even
68:53strapped to the feet anymore on on Devon because I keep the only thing keeping Vle from being 13% own this week is
69:00Adnai Mitchell.
69:03Yeah, it's true. It is true. I'd rather play AD than file >> of those two.
69:08>> Yeah, I agree. Uh, all right. Next game and our final game. This game, this is, Dude, this is so weird. So, Baltimore
69:16and Dallas are playing in the afternoon window. They are playing in Brazil in the afternoon window. This isn't the Sunday night game. This isn't the Monday
69:24night game. This isn't a standalone game on Saturday. It's just in the afternoon window. Um, something to note is that they played on
69:33this field last year. It ruined Jordan Love's knee. It also basically ended Dantavian Wixs as a starting receiver for the Green Bay Packers because he had
69:42three of the most horrendous drops you've ever seen as a result of the turf where he tried to plant and get the ball
69:48and couldn't do it and then he was like banished forever since then. Sounds like Z Flowers is not going to play. It's
69:54Thursday. He has not participated in practice. So, we're probably going to run back Baitman Wester and the tight ends uh as their as their base set with
70:03Chris Moore rotating in. Really, my my question for this game for you is is the field just going to be so shitty that
70:11like Lamar is kind of a bad play cuz like I don't want like if the coaches are cognizant of it, you're not going to
70:18have and Lamar I believe only has one design rush through two weeks anyway.
70:22Like it this might not be the Lamar spot that it seems that it should be.
70:26Yeah. Um, it's pretty annoying because it it feels like Zay actually would probably be tracking to be back this week if it wasn't for this field,
70:36>> but now I don't think he's going to play. Has it been confirmed for sure that they're going to play on this
70:40field? There was talk last week that it might get moved to Dallas because the field was so bad. Is that still a
70:45possibility or is that dream dead?
70:48>> Uh, I mean, I have not seen anything about it changing >> today. doesn't mean it won't. I mean, there's there's a chance they show up
70:58and they're there on Friday or Saturday and they're like, "Dude, this is not we're not doing this and that they fly
71:03back." I I would guess.
71:06>> Yeah, it's it's such a [ __ ] show. Um it's really unfortunate that like that's something we have to deal with in the
71:11National Football League. Um I mean, it reminds me of when we used to have games in in Oakland on the on the baseball
71:17diamond and it's like halfway down the field, someone's running in in sand. Um, yeah, I think that I think that while it
71:28might not be like it's a high varian spot, but if you remember the Brazil game um from a couple years ago, it was the opening
71:38week Eagles Packers game and a lot of people were really concerned about the field and it ended up being a total
71:44shootout because at least the offense knows which way they're cutting. It's >> just it's it's the snow thing, right?
71:51>> Right. So, like, do you remember like Jaden Reed had an insane game and I think multiple of his big plays were
71:57just like >> him making one cut in the open field and defenders just falling trying to match him.
72:03>> I I certainly I certainly do remember because Dantavian Wix couldn't figure it out, >> right? Dante Wix is just like on a slip
72:10and slide all game. So, I mean, it adds a lot of variance to everybody, but I would think that like there is an
72:17increased potential for a 75 yard Derrick Henry screen pass for CD Lamb to like get open on a slant, make one cut,
72:27and he's gone for 70 yards. And these things can speed up the game. So, I think my initial reaction is to
72:38play into the field being good for offensive production as long as it doesn't like literally get someone hurt.
72:44And I'm probably going to try to be quite overweight this game. I'm especially going to try to be overweight players who I think like are most
72:52dangerous in a after catch capacity. So, Henry is a huge play for me. Um, and then I think really both Lamb and
73:01Pickins can do that on the Dallas side.
73:04>> I'm I'm good with that. I do have a concern about uh Mr. Dember, which is is there any man who who would they whose
73:14knees would they rather protect more, Lamar or Henry's knees?
73:19>> Um, I think that they don't have a choice. They're they're going to play Henry.
73:23>> Yeah, they're going to play Henry. Uh, I mean, I guess theoretically it is a bounceback spot for Javante whose volume
73:29does continue to be preposterous. is his like backfield. I mean, he's going to end the season. Him and Gibbs are going
73:36to be like one and two in like backfield like market share of snaps and touches like to the point that it's like
73:41legitimately surprising to see Mari de Marcato be like, "Oh god, Darc that's not what's going on. Why is D Marcato on
73:48the field? Juvante get hurt." Like that's the that's the that's when you know a guy is really entrenched is when when you see their backup you your
73:57immediate thought is is the starter hurt? like did did I miss something happening to the starter and Javante is there the the Jake Ferguson stuff that
74:05was very much a uh you know whatever that happens once a season where Jake Ferguson scores twice. Uh I mean Baitman
74:144700 and then what about Wester? I mean Wester did he didn't get any targets but he did just play Z Flowers's position.
74:21He was third on the team in routes. He just straight. I mean, I you probably can't do it because they just won't
74:28target him, but man, that's a lot of routes on in a crazy high total game. He was kind of a fun prospect at at
74:35Colorado.
74:36>> Yeah, he was fun. I liked him.
74:39>> Yeah. Uh, all right. Well, let's go ahead and build our DraftKings lineup.
74:43You guys can comment down below your gold star play. And if Jacob and I win $1 million, one of you guys will get
74:5010,000 bucks. And uh I will uh we'll we'll make our picks. We'll give our gold star plays and we'll we'll get out
74:57of here >> and I will I will give you the first pick.
75:02>> All right. I will I will be picking um Mr. Derek Henry.
75:10>> I like it. I like it. I will do my gold star play and I think Bowers is going to play this week and I'm going to
75:19highlight $5,500 Dalton Concincaid as my golden star biggest play of the week. I I don't even care if he's if he's 20%
75:29owned, whatever. I still think he's a great play. I think he should be priced with Bowers and McBride. The usage has
75:34been preposterous. DJ Moore might not play. I still think he's great if DJ Moore does play. He he he's he's he's he
75:42is him.
75:44>> Sweet. I will go on the other side of that game. I will give my gold star play here, which is not actually the tight
75:54end a Gadson, although I think he's a great play. It is Lad McConi, who I'm guessing will come in a little bit under
76:00because I think >> most people >> most people will play the Josh Allen side of this game, which means they're probably going to play max one of Lad
76:08Maki or Ronda Gadson. I think they're going to play Gadston. Um or they just won't play Chargers. And Maki to me is
76:15like in a great spot. He looked in week one he was the only functional thing about the Chargers offense and then in
76:21week two he was clearly limited by injury in terms of his role. I don't read at all into the week 2 production
76:26and he's already practicing in full. So I think he's going to be back to what we saw in week one. He gets a great
76:31matchup. They're going to be chasing points. Um so I'm I'm very into lad. I also think they're going to have to pass
76:37a lot more without Cole and Jooku. Like playing Gadin as your tight end one is fun for us. It's It's not fun for your
76:43run game. I think that they're going to just have to lean into throwing a lot.
76:47Um and that's going to be positive for Maki for sure.
76:50>> Yes. Yeah. I I I would just have a hard time playing him because I'm just so annoyed with the Chargers overall. But there's no doubt
76:59that like he will be overindexed by like good players for for sure. Lad lad mcconi will be uh I will save us a
77:07little bit of salary and I will take just an obviously good play $4,300 Adnai Mitchell against the Detroit Lions he he
77:14is going to be exceedingly exceedingly popular and to me anytime you can play one of the most volatile players in the
77:20NFL at 43 you know what it's basically just like playing Trey Tucker if you just think about it like that it's
77:25actually much easier >> and cheaper >> Trey Trey Tucker with very very good fancy metrics Yeah.
77:35All right. I will just just make an adult play here. Uh we'll take Jaylen Warren, who I think, assuming Rico Dael
77:43is not um a factor, will be very owned and project very very well.
77:48>> Yeah. Um you know what? I'm going to take Brock Perie and I'm just going to say it's totally fine to do naked Brock.
77:54I don't think you have to force KD. I don't think you have to force McCaffrey.
77:57I I mean is because I naked Brock would have worked last week, right? He got he got 20 >> 28 points with no one else carrying with
78:05him like naked naked Brock with with this version of the of the 49ers. Naked Brock works just fine and he can always
78:11run one in too. People People forget.
78:15>> All right. Um this is going to put some stress on our salary, but I trust you to find us at cheap wide receiver play.
78:21We've already discussed a couple. I will pick Mr. Ken Walker.
78:26>> All right, we'll do Ken Walker. And if I put in the Carolina Panthers defense, that leaves us $4,000 at wide receiver,
78:36which gives us Jeremy uh to your boy your boy Trey Harris.
78:42>> Oh, this is getting worse.
78:43>> Okay, worse than I thought.
78:47>> Maybe I'll take Walker out.
78:48>> No, no. Gino with Admir.
78:51>> There we go.
78:51>> We get the 5600 and we can play Jameson Williams.
78:55>> Perfect. Look at that. Gino Smith, Dererick Henry, Jaylen Warren, a Lad McConn star from Jacob Sanderson, Adnai Mitchell, Jameson Williams, a Daltton
79:05Concaid gold star from yours truly, Kenneth Walker in the flex, the Carolina Panthers defense at the Cleveland Browns. Uh, Jacob, immediately after
79:14this program, you are about to go do the long view. You've been writing extensively at thinkingaboutthinking.com. What else do you want people to know about? When is
79:24your when is your uh are you doing the athletic article again this year?
79:27>> I Yeah, so Ben's doing them every week.
79:30Um we we'll record our long view episode once he's done writing. So that'll probably be yeah in an hour or two. And
79:36then uh I'm doing them quarterly. So I'll have a my next athletic article will be like a a rookie analysis article
79:43that'll be after four weeks. So it'll be a couple weeks on that. But um I have a bunch of stuff up on thinking about
79:49thinking this week already. I have the hitchhiker's guide. I have my rest of season reddraft here, which is kind of a
79:55one-off. Don't expect that every week.
79:57Um, and then I have my updated dynasty rankings and a dynasty column focused mostly around like some rankings processes, some training strategy, and
80:08kind of how to handle the injuries to Jaden Daniels and Jackson.
80:12>> Yeah, there you go. All right, everyone.
