0:03University of Texas, Jonathan Brooks has
0:05had one of the worst run-outs for a
0:07player. Back-to-back ACL tears here.
0:10Obviously, it's not how you want to
0:11start a career. Things have sounded
0:14pretty good out of camp, but again, it's
0:16we're not that close to the situation.
0:18This is an incredible like uphill battle
0:21that he's facing. They've obviously kept
0:23him around. They used a second-round
0:24pick on him despite him on his way off
0:26of an ACL tear. So, they obviously had a
0:28lot of confidence in him, and there's
0:29not a ton of running backs with success
0:31coming off of multiple ACL tears. I
0:33tweeted something out that was a joke,
0:35but real last week about Frank Gore, how
0:37he tore his ACL twice in college, went
0:39on to become one of the most durable
0:40backs of all time. Jonathan Brooks, does
0:43it get to a point with the multiple
0:44injuries where you simply can't be the
0:46same running back that you were
0:48beforehand? Brooks was explosive. I
0:50looked at him as someone who is like
0:52Aaron Jones, where he's got these
0:53intangibles where it's like the vision,
0:55the balance, the contact balance. Like,
0:57he has so many positives going for him.
1:00I don't think that like the breakaway
1:02speed was ever anything that I was like,
1:04"Oh, this is what's going to set
1:05Jonathan Brooks apart." And I still love
1:07his price at like the 10th, 11th, 12th
1:09round, only competing with Chuba
1:11Hubbard, but maybe you could tell me
1:12otherwise.

1:17Obviously, it didn't work out. He got
1:18injured. I think it was the first game
1:20or second game when he came back. And
1:22maybe he got eight or 10 carries total,
1:24which just is unfortunate. And he, you
1:26know, he ended up just That was it. And
1:28then he had the go back to the drawing
1:30board and do it all over again.
1:32Um I'm actually I like his potential. Uh
1:35I I I tweeted something about him
1:36earlier in the off-season. I don't
1:38remember exactly what it was.
1:40I remember the response, though.
1:43I get a DM from him.

1:49said, "Don't count me out. You don't
