0:00Good morning, friends and enemies, and welcome in to Victory Monday for those who celebrate.
0:12Big weekend this weekend. Is it the biggest fantasy week one of all time? I don't know. Felt like it. It was It was
0:19a great one. We had touchdowns. We had touchdowns. And we had far more touchdowns. ton of dudes with, you know,
0:29two touchdowns, three touchdowns, more touchdowns, four touchdowns. Like, [ __ ] was popping, man. What a weekend. And I just happen to have all those players on
0:38on my Idiot League team. So, uh, great time for week one. Lot of things to panic about, a lot of things to
0:44overreact about. Every single Monday throughout the season, you guys know I will be live around this timeish, depending on when I get done with my
0:52research and recap and all that kind of stuff. uh live here going game by game breaking down everything that you need
0:58to know for fantasy football. We are talking about injuries. We are talking about big plays. We are talking about snap counts, routes run, all the [ __ ]
1:06y'all need to know in order to make informed decisions. And I go on a little bit late here. It's like 2:30. Sometimes
1:13I'll be on around noon, but it's important that you you hit the little notification, the bell underneath the video so that you you know get a
1:19notification when I do go live so you don't miss it. Obviously, these will be available on the channel after the fact
1:24video on demand version. But, you know, I like to take my time. I like to to to really sink my teeth into the data and
1:31when I come to you, I come correct. You know, I just I I I don't want to put out slop here. Everybody talking about AI
1:37slop this, AI slop that. A lot of human slop out there. A lot of shitty content out there. All right. With bad takes and
1:43and worse takeaways. So, I just I just hope that when you watch this video, you come away saying, "You know what? You
1:49know what? You know what? Um, veteran type [ __ ] out of your mouth. So, that's what we're doing today. All
1:56right. Game by game, full fantasy recaps. We do this every single Monday.
2:00We going to do this every single Monday throughout the remainder of the season.
2:03So, subscribe if you want these videos in your face hole. I will upload them via the podcast uh feed after the fact.
2:10If you'd rather just listen on podcast, you didn't even know it existed. BDGE fantasy football. Can't be that hard.
2:16Just go into a [ __ ] uh podcast thing and type in BDG. Yeah, you got to be able to find it. All right, without
2:22further ado, let's literally cook. Starting off with the very first game of the NFL season.
2:29Also, uh should be noted if you guys are in the chat. If you're in the chat and you're chatting right now, I don't even
2:34put the chat up on the screen. That's how [ __ ] locked in I am. I get locked in during these streams. I just want to
2:39provide value to you. I just want to talk through the takeaways that I have for the games. So, if you're in there
2:44asking questions, especially if you're in there dropping super chats, please don't bother because I won't get to them. I won't reverse it. Put it in
2:51reverse. Throw that ass in a circle and get back to the super chats. Not going to happen. All right. So, just hang out,
2:56tuck your shirts in, relax, get yourself some water, get yourself maybe an energy drink. We are rocking with the purple cotton candy Alani. One of these days
3:06I'll maybe grow up and stop drinking purple drinks that will destroy my insides, but it ain't going to be today. It ain't going to be today,
3:16but if you're hanging out in the live stream, of course, make sure you hit the button that looks like this down below.
3:20Let me know, let YouTube know that you enjoy these videos. So, Seattle takes down the Patriots in the Super Bowl matchup 13-10. Um, borderline making my
3:31eyes bleed. Similar to the Super Bowl, we have some significant injury statuses to go over. uh at the top of this game. Sam Darnold hurts his booty
3:41cheek very early in the game. Drew Lockach has to come in. So Sam Darnold apparently has gotten opinions from four different doctors at this point. We
3:51don't really have word on like a really concrete timeline yet. So originally when he got hurt, you know, there was a
3:58a spectrum of outcomes where it could have been very very serious and we could have lost him for the year. I say we,
4:04he's my quarterback, too. And you're already a league mate. I need you to lock in. I need you not to split your
4:08booty cheek five [ __ ] plays into the season, bro. I really need you, dog. And I traded for JSN in that league.
4:14Not the point. Neither here nor here. So Sam Darnold, they are optimistic that this is not a long-term injury. They said he's almost definitely
4:23going to miss week two, which sucks because playing Arizona, and then I believe they play Washington in week three after that. So would have been a
4:30really nice slate of matchups for Darnold and JSN. I think JS uh Darnold coming back in week three is a possibility. Um wouldn't put it as a
4:40sure thing. I also like wouldn't take the IR off the table. It seems unlikely, but I'm just saying, you know, I don't
4:47think he's he's out of the woods yet, having gone around and seen all these like specialists and doctors right now.
4:53So, very much still a situation to monitor. If you're in a Superflex league, Drew Lock, he does have, you know, some good matchups coming up. Do I
5:02think he's going to be like a really good quarterback to fill in for you? No, I don't. Um, he played well in this
5:07game. I mean, most of his fantasy stats were just padded by JSN going nuclear on that 45 yard touchdown catch. Otherwise,
5:14very pedestrian day from Drew Lockach.
5:15He's a serviceable enough backup like Seattle can definitely win their next two games with him as quarterback.
5:20Fantasy wise though, he's a very much a low-end QB2 that I'm not like looking to spend a lot of fab on, especially with
5:26Sam Darnold probably back in a couple weeks. Um, the backfield situation was definitely the one that we were looking at. You have Zack Charbanet on the IR.
5:35We have Jadarian Price, the rookie, firstrounder, George Helani, and then Emanuel Wilson kind of as the third guy.
5:40As you could see, Jiren Price, 10 carries, 52 yards. George Hani, eight carries, and uh 29 yards. Let me just check the the
5:49chats and make sure that like my dumbass audio is working. Yes. All right, we're cool. Fire.
5:57Yeah. So, we have the backfield and we'll go into, you know, the snap counts and everything like that. So, Jiren Price played on 50% of the snaps. George
6:03Helani on 44% of the snaps. He um, you know, had the upper edge in rushing attempts. Let's turn this into pure
6:10numbers here. Jiren Price ran 11 routes to George Hani's seven. Emanuel Wilson just a clear afterthought, which is good because you never knew like this could
6:18have been a three-man backfield for all we know, but it turns out it's very clearly between Jadarian Price and George Helani. And the one like you know
6:25clear number that sticks out here long down and distance very obvious passc catching situations it's George Hani here 9 to0 so I think they had very
6:33clear roles whereas like Jadarian Price early down guy they're both going to run a decent amount of routes when they're in the uh very obvious passing situation
6:40it's Hani we didn't get any carries inside the five on the goal line we didn't get any uh plays inside the
6:45two-minute drill for the Seattle offense so we don't really know how that's going to shake out I would imagine we'll see a
6:50split of goal line carries when these guys are on the field I think It's probably most likely kind of like whoever was on the field for the
6:57previous play will likely stay in. I don't know that either of these guys profile as like, yeah, he's the dude we
7:02need on the goal line. Both of them, neither of them are like bigger power backs that you think of, but overall
7:07snaps 24-21. I walked away relatively optimistic about Jaren Price. He looked very good, extremely explosive, like way better than George Hani. Every time he
7:16touched the ball, it kind of felt like he was going to spring off like a 10 or 15 yard run. Uh, and this was against a
7:21really, really good Patriots run defense. Milton Will, uh, Milton Williams, one of my absolute goats. Um, Christian Barmore in the middle there.
7:29Like really, really strong New England defense, obviously. So, I think that's like one of the takeaways. Usually with these, um, you know, early games, the
7:36Wednesday night, the Thursday night games, like the first games of the year, a lot of times we could see it really,
7:40really sloppy. Seattle didn't play any of their starters throughout the preseason either. So, you know, these teams a lot of the times, especially
7:46when they're implementing a brand new offense, new scheme. They do have a new offensive coordinator there in Seattle with Brian Flurry, like it takes a
7:53minute to really get going with what they're doing here. So, um, most of this game I'm I'm like pretty willing to kind
7:59of just like wash off if you have any strong takes about it. Overall, Jaren Price, I think he's definitely going to
8:04be flexy over the next couple games, uh, because the matchups are really good.
8:08Like I said, Arizona and Before I start talking out of my ass, let me just make sure. Yeah, it's Arizona and then
8:13Washington. So, really good couple games here right now for um Jadarian Price with Drew Lock under center. You'd imagine they're probably going to lean
8:20on their defense. They're going to lean on their running back. So, Jiren Price, I think, is a pretty good flex play.
8:24George Flani is a guy that like, you know, I'll do my running back rankings videos obviously later in the week, but
8:29not a dude that you want in your lineup.
8:32Same thing with anyone behind JSN.
8:33Moving over to New England, we have Drake, what people are calling the schedule May, not me, but you're hearing it around there. You know, the last five
8:42or so games that he's played, including the playoffs, have been against the toughest defenses in the NFL, and he is struggling mightily. This one I'm not
8:50like overly concerned about. Um, you know, made some boneheaded plays.
8:54Overall, I think Seattle's defense is just that good that they're going to make most quarterbacks look like this.
9:00178 a touchdown, three interceptions, though, not great. 47 yards on the ground though. You did see that rushing ability and in better matchups like
9:06that's going to be games where he explodes for massive fantasy days.
9:11Trayvon Henderson sat out in this one.
9:13There was a report today that I believe he returned to practice and um that's obviously important for this backfield split here and uh without him Stevenson
9:23kind of just like dominated touches.
9:25Corey Kiner. I think he was like the sixth round or six [ __ ] depth chart Cardinals running back last year for
9:30some reason. Getting hella spin out there, averaging 1.8 yards per carry.
9:34Shout out him. Um, great great guy, I suppose. I mean, the personality's got to be the only thing getting him on the
9:39field at this point. But Raandre struggles again unsurprisingly against this Seattle ferocious front uh seven.
9:46But yeah, Raandre ends up with 23 touches, 95 yards from scrimmage, five catches, does not get into the end zone, but this team really only had one, you
9:55know, scoring play here. It was a uh play action pass to Eli Riden early on in the game. The other, you know,
10:03obvious big takeaway here is the AJ Brown injury. So, he suffers a high ankle sprain. He gets put on IR. So,
10:08we're going to see him out for a minimum of four weeks. Uh I think there's a chance that he ends up missing more time
10:13than that. This is a relatively severe high ankle sprain and once you get back from the IR, you know, there might be a
10:19little bit of a ramp up time here for a guy like AJ Brown. So, not great. And we want to talk about not great. Romeo
10:24Dobs, one of the worst wide receiver performances you're ever going to see.
10:27Um, you know, they they gave him $70 million this off seasonason to be at least a nice number two for AJ Brown.
10:34And uh, he didn't do that. He dropped one of the easiest passes I've ever seen and only saw three targets in a game
10:40where Demario Douglas got seven, Raandre Stevenson saw six. Matt Collins to me was the guy that kind of like popped out
10:46as like Drake May's go-to. Now, with AJ Brown out, you know, I I do think it's it's likely going to be a target share
10:54that's very spread around. I I don't see like ceiling games that any of these guys can really have that are adjacent
10:59to what AJ Brown could put up. Um, it's going to be an offense that probably spread spreads the ball around a lot. I
11:04should bring the schedule up. I usually have my iPad with the uh with the schedule going forward. The Patriots play the Steelers at the Jaguars at the
11:12Buffalo Bills. So, not a great slate with AJ Brown on the mend here. Um if I'm picking guys up off the waiver wire,
11:19there's no one that I'm like super excited about. Matt Holland would probably be my number one outside of Romeo Dobs. Um maybe a little bit of a
11:26boost for like a Hunter Henry. Pop Douglas will get some targets as well, but he's never been a dude who's like
11:31turning targets into high yardage totals or touchdown totals. I don't know if you want to talk yourselves into Kyle Williams, go for it. But they clearly
11:38have not given you any room for that.
11:40Um, but kind of just like a devastating hit for people that took AJ Brown in the second or third round there. This could
11:45be one of those injuries that really like, you know, kind of [ __ ] the whole year for you, unfortunately. So,
11:52moving on to the Thursday night football game in Melbourne, Australia, we got the Niners. absolutely swacking the [ __ ] out
11:59of the Rams. 27-7 just dominating um pretty much every part of this game. And I will just say just a blank statement.
12:06I am good to just write off almost everything from the Rams side. Like Stafford played poorly. I don't think Stafford is now just a poor quarterback.
12:15Uh Puka 5 for 74, got tackled on like the 0.2 yard line at another like could have had a massive day. One of the one
12:23of the big takeaways here though and I think this is valid and something that we talked about a lot throughout the
12:27summer was the backfield split between Blake Horm and Kron Williams. Blake Horm 10 carries, Ka Williams 11 carries. I think this is going to be similar to
12:34what we see most of the year, but I also think Kairen is the more trusted goal line guy and Kirn is the more trusted
12:42pass catching back. And I think we will also see that kind of play itself out throughout the year. We can go over to
12:49the Rams running back group here. Um, yeah, Kyron Williams, I mean, 36 snaps here to Blake Horm's 13, but in the 13
12:57snaps that Blake Horn played, 10 rushing attempts and ran two routes. So, he's going to be involved when he is on the
13:02field. But for right now, I think they just obviously and and Shawn McVey has kind of always trusted Kairen Williams um as this guy that can sort of do it
13:10all. Good pass blocking back, good pass catching back as well. So, going to be a split there, but Kron Williams to me is
13:15still like a a really solid RB2. Much better days ahead for the Rams, obviously. Uh, not a great game for Devonte Adams either, but you know, just
13:24just just relax. Uh, one other takeaway though for sure is, you know, a guy that we talked a little bit about on this
13:29channel, Terence Ferguson. They were hyping him up about, oh, he's going to be the wide receiver three in this offense, etc. And while I was like,
13:35yeah, I'm I'm fine taking a shot on him.
13:37I picked him up in a league of mine. I was like, there's a million ways where this just goes absolutely sideways. And
13:42one of them is the fact that there's four tight ends on this team.
13:45Kobe Parkinson, Tyler Higgby, Terence Ferguson, Drew uh Drew Allen, and yeah, it wasn't great. Like, they're all running routes out here. Kobe Parkinson
13:53actually led the team with 18 routes.
13:55Ferguson with 13. Higgby and Allen both got, you know, a few of theirs, and uh Ferguson had the lowest target per route
14:01run rate. So, yeah, this is definitely one of those situations where it was like, we're shooting for high upside, but we might learn really quickly that
14:07there's really no difference in the situation from last year into this year.
14:11a whole lot of [ __ ] that they said about how he's going to be used differently.
14:14Then we get out there and there's just four tight ends being used all the time.
14:17I will say though in some of the research I was doing this morning on uh I think it was Sumer Sports Sume R.
14:23Pretty good website for stats and stuff, the Rams and the Bills ran 13 personnel at the highest rate in the NFL. So I
14:32think the Buffalo Bills are at like 40% and 13 personnel is you know very very jumbo package. So, that's three tight
14:38ends, one wide receiver.
14:41Um, it was 40% for Buffalo, around 37% for the LA Rams. There wasn't a single other team in the NFL that was above
14:5018%. So, clearly there's like a boundary being defined here by these types of teams, which means tight ends are going to be on the field for a lot of time,
14:58but like I just don't see a world right now where Terence Ferguson could even come close to getting into your lineup.
15:03He's just he needs to prove to us some there's some sort of consistency for the uh for for his role in the LA Rams
15:12backfield or uh tight end group. On the other side of things, Brock Perie played lights out. He was awesome. San Francisco uh
15:18offense just so many moving parts here.
15:20So, we have Deon Shribling, the very hyped up rookie, ends up uh twisting his ankle. It's a it's a significant ankle
15:29injury. He's going to be out for like the next month or so. Um, which opens up the door for Debo Samuel. It opens up
15:34the door for, you know, Demarcus Robinson to run more routes. Uh, Mike Evans looked like a [ __ ] dog out
15:40there. And if you have Mike Evans, I would feel phenomenal about what he looked like in this opening game. He was
15:46clearly like the go-to guy for Brock Perie every time there was a big catch that needed to be made, third downs.
15:51Like, it was Mike. It, you know, it was Mike being Mike. And I wish I stayed a little bit stronger because I was so
15:57high on him throughout the spring and summer. I think I I at one point I had him as like the wide receiver 15 which
16:03was about 12 spots above like rankings in ADP but as he was dealing with these little like minor tweaks throughout the
16:10summer groin this quad that I started moving him down and down and down and down I I really couldn't get a great
16:16read on the situation and listen like obviously it's a very long season he's old so maybe those do pop back up at
16:21some point but as long as Mike Evans is on the field he looks great and then they're also now dealing with way or injuries
16:30cuz Christian Kirk's on the IR already.
16:32Scribbling is now, you know, basically on an IR stint. Um, you have George KD who's working himself back. Two catches, 12 yards. Very clearly to me didn't look
16:42like George KD yet, and I think it's probably going to be a minute before we actually see that. Uh, he did run 17
16:47routes. Luke Ferrell ran 19 routes. Jake Tongis, five routes, but he ended up getting hurt. So, Tongis looks like he might miss some time here uh for the
16:57tight end spot in San Francisco, which will likely, you know, almost force KD to play uh more routes than they probably wanted to have him on this this
17:06early in the year. But overall, like very funky situation. They're going out to Australia, first time being played for. They got the whole narrative of
17:12like, do we show up early? Do we show up late to the game and like get our sleeps, Arcadian rhythm, whatever that [ __ ] is. Yeah, just
17:18one of those like funky games where, you know, I I don't want to like make any sweeping assumptions for how either team
17:25looked in week one because of this. Um, Debo looked great. I think this was one where I'm not shocked that he had a good
17:32game week one. Like it it seems a little bit to me like the Keenan Allen situation last year where everyone's kind of like written him off, but he's
17:39so intimately knows the offensive scheme and the situation there that of course he's just going to get in there and be
17:46able to run plays immediately and be a semi-focal piece of this offense. And now he's going to be forced to be a
17:50focal piece of this offense because Shribling, Kirk, Joan Jennings is gone.
17:53Like all the all the guys from yester year are now gone and Evans and Debo are like the only veterans there that can
17:58really make a difference here. Um, so KD is a guy that right now if you own him, like he's not going in my lineup until I
18:06I see him run, you know, a a full slate of snaps. Until I see him in like the 60% range, 65 70% range. I'm probably
18:14looking elsewhere at the tight end position. Evans is in my lineup. Debb thinks a fine wide receiver three going forward. The backfield is one of those
18:20situations where, you know, this one got a lot of run here cuz Christian McCaffrey 10 for 68. Kalon Black his rookie backup. clear handcuff here, 14
18:29for 65, but like let's let's relax here.
18:33Um, CMAC was one like again dealing with minor injuries throughout the summer.
18:39Like didn't get that back to practice until a couple days before the game.
18:43Don't want to load him up in week one.
18:45He's a veteran. Like still catches five passes on eight targets. Leads the team in targets. More importantly, was dealing with cramps in this game. Um,
18:53yeah, Christian McCaffrey is dealing with cramps, which led to Caitlin Black taking a lot more work. To me, this is like Kaylin Black's a very, very clear,
19:01very high-end handcuff to own, like going to get a ton of work if if Christian McCaffrey goes down.
19:05Definitely needs to be targeted on the waiver wire.
19:08I would not even blink at moving Christian McAffrey anywhere in my rankings. Like, still going to have insane ceiling games even if Kalon Black
19:18takes a little bit of the work within the 20s. Like, I I do think he'll have a little bit of a role. like he looked
19:22good, he looked explosive, but CMAC has every valuable touch in this offense.
19:28The targets are never going anywhere, especially with the injuries piling up.
19:31He's going to get all the goal line work when they get down there, and Kayon Black maybe will will jump in for like a
19:38a breather series or two. Um, so I have absolutely no concerns about Kalon Black's crampled involvement in this game.
19:50Moving to the Sunday slate, we've got the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals win 33-27 thanks uh almost fully in part to the
19:59fact that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fumbled and lost four fumbles, four balls. Um Baker Mayfield lost three fumbles and uh that's how you ruin a
20:10fantasy day. Obviously, Bucky Irving also lost one. On the Bengals side of things, I mean, they they never win week one. They did walk away with a win, so
20:18that's positive for them. Joe Burrow, 254 touchdown, interception. He's had better days. Jamar Chase, very bad day, unfortunately for the people that
20:26drafted him, you know, second, third, fourth overall. Uh, you know, he's Jamar Chase. He'll be fine. T. Higgins, three for 59. Yeah, just like not a great day
20:34overall from the passing offense. Chase Brown does get in though. 164 for 56 and a touchdown. 5 for 22. So, he ends up
20:40like piecing together a good fantasy day. Joe Burrow, the thing I'm very encouraged about is how good the offensive line looks. like they're
20:46holding up and I think this is one of the better offensive line units or probably the best offensive line unit that he's had uh in Cincinnati since
20:53taking over as the quarterback. So, long-term very optimistic about it. I think the offense is going to look exactly like it did over the last few
21:00years. It was a good game by Micah Siki.
21:02Um kind of out of nowhere, seven targets, five catches, 78 yards, and a touchdown. Kind of leads the team in all
21:07of those attributes there. Um very unpredictable about when he's going to end up being a guy. They did get rid of
21:12Noah Fant who's on the Saints now and he was kind of like a thorn in the side of Gasiki last year. But like if that's the
21:18case, kind of annoying.
21:22Um let's look at the backfield splits between both teams. However, Chase Brown obviously, you know, kind of dominated touches there. Dominated
21:31snaps, too. 46-18.
21:34This is where Samaji Pion ended up getting into the game a bit. Uh, long down and distance, six snaps for P Ryan,
21:41three snaps for um, Chase Brown. But short down and distance inside the 5yd line. This is great to see. Chase Brown
21:48got all three of those. Uh, two-minute drill. He got all six of those. So, like really, really good utilization for Chase Brown. Love to see that in week
21:55one. Better days ahead, obviously. Um, had a good day, but like sealing games ahead for sure. On the other side of
22:01things for the Buccaneers, we did have Shawn Tucker out of this one, which left the backfield completely open to Bucky Irving and Kenneth Gainwell. Uh they
22:09just didn't run the ball very much.
22:10Eight rushing attempts for Bucky, five for Kenneth Gainwell. Bucky really strong route run rate here. Um 21 routes, ended up getting seven targets.
22:19Do I think that's sticky where he's going to outtarget Kenny Gainwell 7 to1?
22:22No. But it's great to see um short down distance, three snaps. Also gets in for a touchdown. Long down distance, six
22:28snaps. Really strong utilization for Bucky Irving. Has a very, very strong day here. Eight for 45, gets a touchdown, catches seven passes for 48
22:35yards. This is the Cincinnati Bengals defense. And I will say they looked way better, way, way, way better. But that's also going I mean, they added a lot of
22:44pieces. Dexter Lawrence looked awesome yesterday. The the defense is definitely revamped, but you're also going to look a million times better when you end up
22:51causing and resing four [ __ ] fumbles in a game. That's just not something that's going to happen. like if you if
22:57you recover one fumble a game that's very good. Uh so four times obviously that's going to make [ __ ] look terrible
23:03for any opposing offense. Um overall though it does not feel ultimately like this might be a defense like last year
23:13where you just run all over them at will. But Bucky looked good. The receiver core I mean they just kind of
23:20um were flat across the board. Ibuka was really good in the first half and then I I I don't even think he caught a ball in
23:28the second half. Five for 63, whatever PPR day. Was hoping to see a little bit more from Chris Godwin. Uh four for 40
23:34with Jaylen McMillan ruled out. Ted Hurst was kind of just out there running sprints on the side. Um I do think
23:39Jaylen McMillan, you know, I I don't know if he'll be back in week two, but I do feel like he's probably hopefully
23:45close week two, week three. Um I I feel like he could carve out a really big role in this offense like pretty quickly
23:50if Chris Godwin um doesn't really like separate himself from the rest of the receivers in this room. No concern for Ibuka though. I do think he probably saw
23:58a lot of DJ Turner and DJ Turner pretty pretty good.
24:05Lions Saints, this [ __ ] was [ __ ] awesome. What uh what a game. 3130 overtime. Saints go for two. Don't
24:13connect. Lose it. Um, but what a comeback by them. Tyler Shuck was drowning in the first half. The entire Saints offense was so, so bad in the
24:22first half. Um, but you know, they end up pulling through. And this was the thesis of drafting Saints players, man.
24:29Like they ran, I think it was 86 or 87 offensive plays in this game. Obviously, you know, overtime included in that. So
24:38maybe you drop it down to like 79 or 78 regular game uh regular quarter snaps, which is so high. And this was the
24:47thesis behind getting as many pieces of this game into your lineup as possible with Chuck and Etienne and Alave and Vele and Jawan Johnson and Gibbs and
24:57Aman RA. Some of the other pieces obviously didn't hit, but like I mean this was this is why you draft guys like
25:03this and it's like you sometimes you want your cake and you want to eat it too. You want 80 plays per game and you
25:09also want [ __ ] Pton Manning to be the quarterback. No, we're we were drafting these players because of the environment. You know, we were drafting
25:15these players because Kell Moore runs a shitload of plays because they play in a dome and it should be high scoring
25:20because they're going to pass the ball like 56 pass attempts in this one. That is what you drafted them for. Like you
25:25you can't be upset that it didn't look pretty because this is what we were expecting, you know? So, um, ETN, there's a lot of questions about ETN and
25:35whether or not we should be nervous. Do I like what we saw? No. I I think there's a He had nine carries, 46 yards.
25:43Kendra Miller, nine carries, 30 yards.
25:44He does end up getting the touchdown from about eight yards out. ETN though does see nine targets in this game.
25:50Catches seven for 32. So, PPR he had an end he ended up having a fine day. Uh, it makes it a little bit messy cuz like
25:56Alvin Kamar is probably a week away from returning. Like he could be back in week two. So what does that look like even
26:01more? So does Alvin Kamar end up seeing five targets per game to me? It it kind of felt like early on this Saints
26:07offense was just having no success. So it's kind of like, hey, let's see what another player on on the bench can do
26:13and see if we can get a spark from him.
26:14So I don't necessarily know what the game plan is to split these carries 9 to9 or 50/50 for, you know, the games
26:20going forward. You don't sign a guy to a $50 million contract and do that. I also think there's a very real chance that
26:26the Detroit Lions run defense. you know, we're figuring out a a lot early on. You know, we're we're going to have
26:32incredibly we're only working off of last year stats for whether or not we think a defense is going to be good. And
26:38then for these first few weeks, we're only working off of a sample size of, you know, one game, then two games, then
26:44three games to select and highlight what parts of these defenses or offenses are going to be good. I think there's a
26:51really good chance that this Lions defense ends up being like a very significant passfunnel defense where, you know, they're without Kirby Joseph,
26:59they're without Brian Branch, they lost Terren Arnold this offseason. Like they're down a ton of secondary players, but they played a lot of last year
27:06without Alien McNeel who was like a very very good inside the uh inside the line defensive tackle. He is a very good run
27:13stopper. He was back. He's back, you know, kind of in full force. I think between him and Hutchinson, like they have a decent defensive line that I
27:19think is going to be tough to run the ball against. Um, and again, we're not going to really know all these things.
27:24We're just kind of hypothesizing early on in the uh in the season, but I I I think there's a very very real chance
27:30that like the Lions run defense is actually pretty good. So, that's why we didn't see a lot of success. But, Ave
27:35goes [ __ ] nuclear here. Um, you know, I I he left the game like four [ __ ] times, dude. I I've never seen a guy get
27:43injured so much. There there was a tweet that was like he's he's on the he's on the sideline with his socks off.
27:49I'm like what do you I don't even What am I supposed to do with that information? Is he hurt? Is he just
27:55grounding? Is he trying to get like good energy going? I don't understand. But regardless had a [ __ ] huge day. Was
28:01awesome. Devon, one of my like sleepers of the week in the wide receiver rankings video. Love to see it. Going to
28:06be one of the top waiverwire guys as long as Jordan Tyson is out. We'll say this was like the cake matchup. you
28:12know, if they didn't perform in this game, if they didn't end up having a big game, like that would have been very
28:16worrisome. Do I expect these types of outputs in in better games? And I think they play at Baltimore next week. So,
28:21going to be a little bit of a of a tougher one, though. That that should be pretty [ __ ] high scoring. And I think
28:25you're looking to start most of these guys again. Dwan Johnson ends up getting home, was very high in him this week.
28:31Ends up like, you know, saving it all to to the fourth quarter. Wanted wanted to give every fantasy player that started
28:37him a [ __ ] heart attack, but, you know, he saved you. You didn't die.
28:42no flatlining. So, my concern level for Travis ETN, I would say going into the game was like uh zero to one. Right now, I'd still put
28:53it at like a two to three. I'm not I'm not like going all in on this this split here between him and and Kendra Miller.
28:59I think when we look at the snaps, I have not looked at this yet, but I still think it's going to be super heavy in
29:03favor of ETN. Yep. 50 snaps for ETN, 26 for Kendrick Miller. someone named I believe CJ Donaldson. Yeah. Getting 14 snaps that nobody asked for.
29:14Uh so that's kind of weird. I I don't love that. We'll have to kind of keep an eye on what Kell Moore says about the
29:20backfield, but two-minute drill was all ETN. Long down distance snaps was mostly ETN. We didn't get any carries inside the 5yd line, so we don't know who the
29:28goal lineback is. Kendrick Miller did get that one touchdown, but that was from eight yards out, you know, when they're inside the three or two. Do they
29:34do they flip-flop a little bit? Routes run though 25 to six to seven. So, as long as as long as the Saints continue
29:40to do what the Saints are doing, high volume, fast pace, passing the ball a lot, ETN, I think, is going to be fine.
29:53Jets and the Titans. So, the Jets take it down 23-10. Gino Smith 215 scoreless yards. The backfield was definitely a split between Bruce Hall and Brilon
30:02Allen, but Bruce Hall looked great. I mean, this is a Titans team that's in absolute [ __ ] shambies right now. Uh,
30:08like I don't know. I don't think you could sell me on any team being I guess even close to them in terms of like competing
30:15for the number one overall pick right now. They are they are as bad as it gets. You know, we were hopeful that
30:21things could maybe turn around with Brian Day and listen, it's week one, but like you're playing the Jets and there's just no heartbeat out there. Um,
30:30backfield. Yeah, Bree looked great. 22 102 and a touchdown on the ground. Two for 16 through the air. I wish he was a
30:35little bit more involved in the passing game. Um, but Gino did only attempt 24 passes there and kind of spread the ball
30:41around a little bit. Let's look at the splits between the back field here.
30:45Where art thou?
30:48Breeze 37, Brilen Allen 25, 22 to 10 in terms of rushing attempts. Ran the same amount of routes. A little sus.
30:59So listen, I just don't think we're going to get a world where Bree Hall is like getting 85 to 90% of the snaps
31:04here. It's just doesn't feel like it's going to happen. So you just need Bree to be good when he's on the field. And
31:09he certainly has a talent to do it. What will games look like when they're not playing the Titans and they don't have
31:14good game script? Don't know. Uh this is a little bit concerning here. Long down and distance snaps. Eight for Brayon Allen and two for Bree Hall. Little
31:24weird, but inside the five the goal line rushes. Two for Bree Hall, zero for Brilon Allen. you do like to see that.
31:28So, overall, I mean, definitely more of a positive game for Bree than uh than a negative game. Good to see the
31:36offense like be able to be functional in a game against the Titans. Like, they kind of control the script here and
31:40whatever. Uh, excuse me for one sec.
31:56We are literally so back. That's ridiculous. There was no thumbs down and as soon as I said excuse me for one sec, a thumbs down [ __ ]
32:03populated. So rude.
32:08Um, so pass catchers Garrett Wilson six for 79, seven targets, more than doubles any other player on the team. obviously going to be the number one target there.
32:19Adnai Mitchell, strong game, three for 60 on only three targets there. Omar Cooper ended up having a really big play very early on and then he ended up
32:26suffering a high ankle sprain. He's going to be out for quite a while here.
32:30This is kind of the problem with investing in the um passing offense of the New York Jets. Uh Frank Reich just
32:37he he plays not to lose. He just doesn't really want to pass the ball. And I get it, you're up scores, but like I I don't
32:44think he ever wants to throw the ball more than 30 times in a game. They're not going to throw for many touchdowns
32:49this year. You know, Garrett Wilson will probably end the year with a very very high target share. Um PPR will look
32:56good, but I just don't know how many touchdowns we can count on out of this receiver group. If you're not going to
33:02get it get it done against the Titans, you know, when are we going to get it done? I I do really like Adani Mitchell,
33:07though. think he's going to have some big [ __ ] blowup games. And he's very clearly the wide receiver too here.
33:11Running as many routes as Garrett Wilson here. 21 routes a piece. Didn't have as many targets obviously, but the A dot
33:18and this was kind of what we saw last year for Adonai as the wide receiver won when Garrett was out. A dot of 19.7
33:26yards downfield, which will lead to boom games. It will lean lead to bus games. I think in good matchups though, he could
33:32be an intriguing kind of like sneaky flex play down there, especially with Omar Cooper now out. Kenyan Sadi ended up getting in for a rushing touchdown,
33:40which, you know, could have went to Bree, could have went to Brilon or something like that. Could have went a different, you know, different way,
33:44bounced a different way on a different day, whatever. Um, Kenyan, yeah, he's cool. Cool player right now. Not a guy I
33:50really want in fantasy. On the other side of things, I don't really know how you'd want anyone uh in fantasy here.
33:56Wandell was like the only guy in this offense I was interested in in PPR leagues and after this game I don't
34:02really know how we I don't know how to be optimistic about anyone here. I was I was just off Carnell Tate. Um I was off
34:12I mean who the [ __ ] was on Calvin Ridley? Nobody. Uh didn't really want Tony Pard. Didn't want Taj Spears.
34:19Definitely don't want Cam Ward. Yeah, it just doesn't look good. Tony Pard and Taj Spears split snaps almost evenly in this one. Um it amounted to almost
34:26nothing for either of them. 34 total yards for Tony Per on eight touches. Taj Spears 24 total yards on five touches.
34:33So this is just an unstartable offense for the time being.
34:39Ravens and the Colts. I mean this was Oh, I should also note Minka Fitzpatrick got hurt in this game um for the Jets
34:48and I think there's a pretty good chance he misses next week. So I believe they play the Packers next week. could be
34:54wheels up for Christian Watstein. Once again, Ravens Colts.
34:59Holy [ __ ] did the Ravens look [ __ ] good. If there's one thing that I might want to overreact to, it is this. It is
35:05the Baltimore Ravens offense under Declan Doyle. He might very well be the chosen one cuz my goodness did Lamar look good. Did this offense
35:15look good. Zay Flowers looked [ __ ] unbelievable in the first quarter, first half before he got hurt. five for 150
35:23and a touchdown before halftime.
35:26Then he pulls up with what we don't know yet to be some sort of hamstring tweak or strain. We don't know the severity of
35:35it. Uh from Baltimore, they seem a little bit optimistic. I don't think we've gotten any like real confirmed reports about like a timeline on it. I
35:45do believe we heard that the hamstring injury or the hamstring reinjury was a repeat of the hamstring that he had been
35:55dealing with throughout August. So, he missed a lot of practice time because of a hamstring tweak in August. And then I
36:00believe this was the same hamstring that he ended up um kind of retweaking.
36:06I I don't really know. I I I can't really give you much more insight. I would say the reports like don't seem
36:13that pessimistic at first. Um or at least so far. I' I'd be kind of surprised if he doesn't miss a game. You
36:20know, with a hamstring injury, especially a reinjury, tends to lean towards missing a little bit of time.
36:25And that's, you know, brutal run out for Zay Flowers Raptors cuz clearly, you know, he's I will say he did the exact
36:30same thing last year in week one and then probably didn't score a touchdown for like five straight weeks. But this this one feels a little bit different.
36:36He he looks like he was moving different a little bit and the way that they were lining him up out of the [ __ ] back
36:40field all over the place. Like yeah, he looked incredible. Um so yeah, we're just going to have to say tapped into
36:46the injury reports. Obviously unfortunately Jacobe Lane, the promising rookie, uh he ended up fracturing his wrist. So he's going to miss minimum
36:54three weeks, could be up to like six, eight weeks, something like that. So unfortunately the guy that I felt like could have been fun to have with like
37:01some upside would have been Jacobe Lane.
37:04Uh Rashad Baitman kind of next man up. I guess maybe they activate Elijah Serat who is another rookie uh that was not
37:11active on game day for this one. Chris Moore catches a 53 yard pass. Like obviously you want pieces of the Baltimore Ravens passing offense. Um
37:19maybe it's Mark Andrews. I guess he looks so [ __ ] dusty though. Four for 49 in this game.
37:25It's a little bit tough to tell as well with a guy like Baitman because like once we got into the second half, you
37:29know, Baltimore, they had this game pretty securely. They were up 18 and a half, right? So they can kind of like do
37:34it do what they did and give the ball to Derrick Henry who's never going to age apparently. 24 for 144, three
37:41touchdowns on the ground. God damn it.
37:42Is nice owning that man in my most important league. Yesterday was fun.
37:47Yesterday was a good [ __ ] time watching the King reassert himself upon the throne. They were they were running plenty of plays under center, which is
37:56great for a running back like Derrick Henry being able to build up some steam rather than playing from shotgun all the
38:01time. It's also great that Lamar Jackson can run under center plays, play action.
38:05It's like a cheat code right now. So, love to see what Declin Doyle did in week one. Derrick Henry also did this.
38:11He faced the Baltimore Ravens faced the highest percentage of heavy boxes in week one. The highest percentage of any NFL team and Derrick Henry said, "I
38:19don't give a single [ __ ] about what you're doing. Put another guy in there.
38:23Put another guy in there. Put your whole team in there and I'm going there."
38:27Didn't matter. So, Dererick Henry goated. Z Flowers will have to wait on uh on what happens with him. On the flip
38:35side, Colts looked really good for like five seconds. They looked really [ __ ] good for five seconds. At least our
38:40passing offense did. Daniel Jones and them, you know, they looked good out the gate. Jonathan Taylor got his rocks off.
38:4519 for 98, two touchdowns. As long as Daniel Jones under center, Jonathan Taylor should be fine here. Um should also be noted Baltimore without Nad
38:54Mikke. Don't know when he's going to be back. has obviously had a very very long absence, but he will increase that play
39:00in the offensive line pretty significantly here. So, if he is back under center going to be a little bit more difficult to run, but JT did what
39:06JT does. Uh, big game from him there.
39:09Um, receivers Josh Down started off very hot out the gate. Ultimately though, Daniel Jones 19 for 31, 5.4 yards per attempt. Just like not a very strong
39:18game from him. So, not a very strong game from most of these pass catchers here. Let us look at these snaps though.
39:24Keenan Allen leading the team in both targets and uh receptions. You just love to see that.
39:31So, 32 routes from Josh Downs. Good to see. Leads the team in routes. Playing a lot in uh 11 personnel and and or 12
39:38personnel, which is, you know, kind of what everybody was getting excited about this off seasonason. Keenan Allen second with 26 routes. Alec Pierce
39:46unsurprisingly third there. He's obviously going to take a little bit of time to ramp up from the surgery that he was dealing with in the off season, but
39:53still seeing insane air yards, over 100 air yards despite uh seeing only six targets, a dot of 17.8. So, kind of
40:00right back in the role that he saw last year. Going to be a a tough wide receiver room to really trust on a
40:06weekby-eek basis until we see Daniel Jones really like clicking again. So, I I I'm kind of hands off for the time
40:13being, especially in any sort of like relatively tough matchup here.
40:19Moving to the Steelers and the Falcons.
40:21Moving past the Steelers and the Falcons, Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers here. This is f. All right, we'll go back.
40:44I just can't believe some of you dumb idiots fell for Kyle Pittz again this year.
40:51The dude had like three straight years of just [ __ ] production. Was bordering on the fourth straight year of [ __ ]
40:57production last year and then Drake London got hurt. He had one big game and then it's like, yep, Kyle Pitch the
41:02goat. Kyle Pitch the goat. I don't know what to tell you. I don't know what to tell you. Cooper Rush though, he's a bit
41:10of a problem for us. Our quarterback room, we have Tua who has back spasms and oblique strain that happens right before we're about to kick off. He's
41:18supposed to be our starting quarterback.
41:19We have Michael Penn who doesn't feel fully himself coming back from the ACL tear. We have Cooper Rush.
41:25We have Cooper Rush. Um, which basically made our offense turn into like just get the ball in Bejian Robinson's hands as
41:32many times. The fact that we were one touchdown away from winning this game and all it was just strictly the Bejian
41:38Robinstein for this one. Bad. Um, yeah.
41:42If Cooper Rush is under center, very worried about Drake London. I got other news for you. If two tag is under
41:47center, I'm worried about Drake London.
41:48like as the summer progressed and you know I went on kind of like a tweet storm this morning about things I picked
41:53up from the games.
41:55Uh if Michael Penn is under center I listen I think Tua and Michael Penn will both be back sooner rather than later. I
42:01think we have at least one of them back for week two. I don't think we can rush Cooper Rush out there again. No pun
42:06intended. Uh if Pennix is under center I feel better about Drake London. I think by the end of the season his end of season numbers
42:16will be there. He's a phenomenal wide receiver. But as the summer progressed and the reports got worse and worse about like Pennix not being ready, Tulle
42:24looks horrendous. Like that became a scarier and scarier click where he was going in the mid to late second round for sure. So if I own Drake London,
42:33yeah, I would be a little bit concerned about and by a little bit like I'd be pretty [ __ ] concerned about the
42:37situation right now. Great player just in a [ __ ] situation. Um, so yeah, there's nothing you want besides Bejan in that offense right now. On the
42:46flip side, Aaron Rogers, 40 pass attempts. Kind of good to see the first time under Mike McCarthy, at least for like people who invested into this uh
42:55wide receiver room here. Not that anything really came from it. But, you know, Michael Pitman three for 58 leads the team in receiving yards, but very,
43:04very far behind in targets, unfortunately. I do want to see the snaps and the routes run here among that receiver group.
43:12Where the [ __ ] is you Steelers?
43:17Um, all right. So, [clears throat] 42 routes for Metaf, 39 routes for Michael Pitman.
43:23Just not a lot of targets there. Uh, AOT crazy for Mechaf and Russell Wilson.
43:27Insane amount of air yards there. I mean, he's got to be amongst the lead league in air yards for this for this
43:33week. know 239, DK Metaf 171. And shout out both the Packers receivers. I actually can't wait to talk about that game. Um, yeah. So, Pittsburgh,
43:44I mean, listen, like with the style of passing offense they have, both of these receivers are going to be so hit and
43:49miss, so boomer bust as wide receiver threes, if you even want to consider it.
43:53Like, great to see DK Maf get 10 targets. Could had a much bigger day.
43:57Had a touchdown pass that was a tough catch, but like kind of slipped through his fingers. had some deeper passes where like he's going to get penalties
44:03called on him or against him and on him defense offense whatever. Uh so obviously there's going to be some boom games for DK Metaf but you know this was
44:11against the Falcons like this is a matchup you kind of got to take advantage of if you drafted a DK or a
44:16Michael Pitman. I think Pat Fymouth is kind of like a sneaky he's like a sneaky one of those tight ends in like the
44:21Dalton Schultz or the Jake Ferguson range where no more John Smith I I do think matters for a guy like Pat
44:27Frymouth. So he goes 5 for 46 in the touchdown. He's going to be one of those guys where like, you know, he'll go
44:31three for 40 multiple times, but like he will have games where he goes five for 50 and a touchdown here. So, good to see
44:37that with him, I guess. Um, Jaylen Warren out carries Rico Dattle also sees six targets to Dadd's five and does a lot more with them. So, I I I prefer
44:48Jaylen Warren much more to Rico Dattle this offseason. Rico was not a guy I was really like in on and um it's just hard to be optimistic
44:58really about him as like Warren just profiles so much better as a fit with Aaron Rogers. Um Rico did outnap him 37
45:07to 23. I think that will happen in game scripts where they're up significantly, but I also don't expect that to happen
45:13uh very often. You know, you're playing against Falcons. are going to be some of the w some of the w um overall. Yeah, I mean it's it's going
45:22to be a little bit tough to there will be production in this backfield, no doubt about it, but it'll be it'll be a
45:26clear split. Like this is what's going to be the case going forward for the rest of the season unless one of them
45:31gets hurt.
45:33Bears Panthers, this will probably be the overreaction game of the year. No doubt about it. Um highle takeaways, the Panthers defense is [ __ ] atrocious.
45:44Obviously, the Bears defense, I actually don't know what's worse, the Bears letting the Panthers put up almost 40 on them or the Panthers letting the the
45:52Bears put up 60 on them. Like, I actually think relative to their teams, they're both equally bad. Um, so Caleb goes nuts obviously, 270, two touchdowns
46:02through the air, adds another 65 and two touchdowns on the ground. Their running game was so [ __ ] good. Almost 300
46:09yards on the ground, six touchdowns.
46:11DeAndre Swift goes crazy. 18 for 124 and three. Kla Nungai 10 for 100. Busts off a long 60-yard touchdown on the ground.
46:17Wasn't even sure he was going to play this week to be honest with you. He missed almost all of August with a
46:21little bit of a I think it was like a knee contusion or a uh hyperextension, but he goes right back into the lineup
46:28here. And I will say I Swift looked awesome and I think he's going to be a phenomenal fantasy pick. But I think as
46:33the season progresses, we probably will see a little bit more of what we saw last year in that it's like uh more of a
46:39one-two punch than like a swift 70% common guy 30% here. Um the big the big takeaway here that everyone's freaking out about is like, oh my god, the
46:48Chicago Bears scored 60 points. Coulson Lovelin has zero [ __ ] catches. Uh Roma Dunay two catches for 50 yards.
46:57Luther Burden 63 yards. None of them score a touchdown. Cole KT involved. I get it. I think worrying about any individual player on the Bears offense
47:06right now after they score 60 points is like you are so missing the forest for the trees there. If I have any of these
47:13players, like if I have Burden, if I have Lovelind, like this does not worry me at all. Like I love what we saw from
47:19the Bears offense. Caleb looked in complete control. Looks like he's clearly taking that next step. This is a a dude in Ben Johnson came out and said
47:27he wants to be the highest scoring team ever. Like he's not taking his foot off the pedal. No doubt about it. So, this
47:33is going to be a defense that is clearly letting up points to [ __ ] everyone and anyone that steps on the field. And
47:39in return, they're going to have games where they throw the ball a lot. So, yes, they're going to have games where
47:44they do donate dominate on the ground. We saw this happen. And when Kungai breaks off a 60-yard run and DeAndre Swift breaks off
47:54big runs, like sure, there's going to be fewer catches and touchdown catches to have for receivers here, but like I'm not bugging about any of the receivers
48:03on the Chicago Bears after they put up 60 points. It just didn't happen to go their way. There's going to be games
48:08where they put up 50 and those two or three guys are going to be the only ones who score fantasy points and then you're
48:12going to be like, "Oh, [ __ ] I was an idiot." On the flip side of things, Panthers, Bryce Young actually has a
48:19great day. looked really good. Coker eight for 138, two touchdowns, nine targets. This will be a huge talking point all week. This is another one
48:26where like you simply cannot overreact to the Carolina Panthers dropping 37 on the Chicago Bears defense. This is a bad Chicago Bears defense. So, yes, they
48:38look good, but like relax. I to me to me there's two takeaways. Like Jaylen Coker looks very legit. He's going to run every single
48:47route outside of T McMillan. Like both of those guys are going to be on the field for every single pass play. Coker
48:53is running the easier routes. Ted's going to be on the outside a lot. You know, there's a lot of talk about him
48:58running more routes from the slot. I looked last year he was around a 19 to 20% slot guy. Obviously, just a single
49:04oneweek sample size. He ran about 26% of his routes from the slot in week one. So an uptick but you know
49:13a 5% increase in slot snaps when you are running let's see how many routes he ran in this game 39 routes uh what is 5% of 39 I have no
49:30idea but it just it simply can't be more than like one or two routes so that is the extent of like the increase we're
49:38talking about if things hold steady here. Um, but Jaylen Coker is Jaylen Coker is just very good, dude. And if you drafted him late in your draft, I
49:45think you have, you know, a really solid depth flex option there that's not going to do what he did yesterday often. But
49:53like, great to see. This was a guy that a lot of the fantasy community was very high on and he delivered for you in a
50:00beautiful matchup. Darren Waller, I think, needs to be called out a little bit here too. Came in, kind of ate Sanders as lunch. um did split some time
50:07with Tommy Tremble, but I do think Darren Waller was probably the best looking tight end, pass catching tight end on this team. Ran a bunch of routes,
50:13also had a touchdown, called back, so like could have had a better day. Uh you know, we obviously got to talk about the
50:18backfield. And this became more and more evident as the final week or two went into week one that Chuba was going to be
50:26the clear guy for week one. Jonathan Brooks missed like the entire last week of practice with like knee soreness. It just didn't feel like the vibes were off
50:34there and it felt very obvious that Jonathan Brooks was going to play a very very secondary role here. Uh Chuba Hubard 10 for 49 on the ground,
50:41touchdown, 3 for 38 through the air, touchdown. Jonathan Brooks 4 for 14 did have one very big play. Um looked explosive, which is good. And I think
50:49there's going to be a role for him, but this was always what I felt Jonathan Brooks [clears throat] was. and I was so
50:53high on him in the offseason, but like to a point there was a point where once he started going above round nine,
50:59that's where I was like, I don't I don't know that I really want much more of him at that point because then Chuba was
51:06almost certainly coming back before week one. like he had the hamstring strain and then that's when Jonathan Brooks went to like the sixth round and I was
51:12like this is this is a really bad choice by I think most fantasy drafters um because Chuba was still slated to be
51:17ready for week one and then Jonathan Brooks ended up getting banged up and the snap counts here like Chuba dominated 43 to2 had more rushing
51:25attempts significantly more routes run like it was bad it's going to be bad it's going to be bad for Jonathan Brooks
51:33man uh two-minute drill long down in distance took the only goal line snap here so listen I don't think this is how
51:38it's going to run out for the rest of the season. I think they still like need to ease Jonathan Brooks back into game
51:44shape and gameville there and dealing with the injury at the at the end of August, early September was like always going to be kind of a thorn in the side
51:51of what we're going to see early on. So, I'm not dropping Jonathan Brooks. I am very likely playing Chuba until we see
51:57something otherwise. They play the Falcons next week. So, like wheels all the way to [ __ ] up. Put hydraulics in
52:03it.
52:06Browns and Jacksonville.
52:09Um, I mean, I don't know what I could tell you about Cleveland. Sounds like they're gonna start Watson again. Sounds like you can't really start any player
52:17in this offense. I will say we'll say I'm gonna start Harold Fannon again next week. [ __ ] it. [ __ ] it. We ball. It's
52:24bad. Shidor is going to be under there sooner rather than later, but yeah, it's not great. Judkins, not great. Nothing is great. The Jaguars defense very good.
52:31So, this was like [snorts] the least surprising finish of the day. Uh, the Jaguars passing offense was [ __ ] awesome. Trevor Lawrence 245, four
52:40touchdowns, almost had as many touchdowns as he has incompletions in this one. Liam Cohen is just like that dude, man. He just understands
52:47offense and the the modernday NFL offense. He's like pass rate, pass rate, pass rate, like play action. Let's just get it cooking, man. Just just love to
52:58see Liam Cohen like having pieces of the Jacksonville offense. You know, Parker Washington was obviously to do we were super high on all summer as was kind of
53:05everybody and he just proved everybody right. Five for 83 touchdowns, six targets. They just didn't need to do much in the second half. If they had if
53:12this was like a shootout game when the Jags play like the Lions or the Jags play the Bills or something like that,
53:17it's going to be a movie. It's going to be bad. It's going to be bad. Uh yeah, PE Wash [ __ ] awesome. Jacobe Myers.
53:25So the the route distribution here um only 23 pass attempts for Trevor Lawrence. Uh obviously going to be higher and better better passing game
53:34scripts for them. Jacobe Myers actually led with 20 routes run which was nice.
53:39He only saw two targets caught one of them. Big play scramble drill taw 32 yard touchdown caught in the back of the
53:45end zone. Was quite beautiful. Shout out me. Um Parker Washington and Brenton Strange both tied with 18. And then Brian Thomas Jr. had 14, but he left
53:55this game at one point with a shoulder injury. And it could be an AC sprain, could be like a minor AC sprain.
54:00Apparently, it's not too serious here.
54:02But yeah, I mean, Brian Thomas Jr., it's one of those guys where if he's not making a big play, you know, he's
54:09probably not going to have very many uh opportunities to really get it done for you in fantasy. But I think he is ready
54:16to go. This was this was a game where like I I I I felt like it favored the the inside guys a little bit more uh
54:22with Denzel Ward on the outside for Cleveland. So, it's kind of just like BJ looked kind of good though early on
54:28before he got hurt. So, I don't know. I don't know what the [ __ ] I'm saying about BJ anymore. I don't give a [ __ ]
54:33Uh rushing back field. Let's go. Two in Chris Rodriguez. So, two ends up, you know, getting a lot of work here. 15
54:39carries, 66 yards. Looked pretty good.
54:40Looked relatively explosive. Chris Rodriguez was playing a lot early on but really didn't amount to much. 6423 in that back field. Bashaw Tuton also
54:50catches just a single pass for 22 yards.
54:53Um so not much cooking in terms of like getting the running backs involved here, especially through the passing game, but like Con was just cooking with the wide
55:00receivers, man. He just likes the group that they have there. Uh Josh Cameron made a little bit of noise two for 20.
55:06Didn't even know who he was, but he got a lot of hype throughout the summer. Um and he played more snaps than Travis
55:10Hunter. So, I should should also finish that up where BTJ had 14 snaps or 14 routes run. Josh Cameron had seven and
55:17then Travis Hunter was down at three.
55:18So, again, this was felt like [ __ ] obvious as soon as the season ended. But Travis Hunter, they need him to play
55:24Dback. They need him to be really good at one of the positions. Not like not clueless out there on both sides. That does them no good. They
55:32could be a very good defense if they get Travis Hunter as their DB1. And they did that in this game. And [ __ ] was sweet.
55:42Bills Houston. I mean, holy [ __ ] This was a fun game for for someone who had Josh Allen and Nico Collins in your
55:50idiot league mates. Like, let's just say I enjoyed this one. All right. Uh Josh Allen went full [ __ ] Superman mode in this one. 334, two
56:00touchdowns through the air. Another two touchdowns on the ground. probably should have lost this game if if Kamari Lasser catches that interception in the
56:06end zone uh very end of the game, but he doesn't and Josh Allen makes him pay. Uh not worried about James Cook. 13 for 57.
56:13I think it's just how the game script went. Um last two seasons he actually dominated the Texans on the ground while
56:18Josh Allen really struggled, but they flipped it. Vice versa. Um, you know, I I I should bring this up as well,
56:25mentioned it earlier in the video that the Buffalo Bills ran the single highest rate of 13 personnel in week one. 40% of
56:35their players were from 13 personnel.
56:36So, three tight ends on the field. And I tweeted something out earlier in the summer about Dalton Concincaid. How last year Daltton Concaid ranked first in
56:44like every stat category that's on like a a route run basis. fantasy points per outr run, yards per out run, yards per
56:50target, yards per reception, but he only played like 55% of the snaps. At the end of the tweet, I was like, you know, this
56:57whole trend and movement towards heavier personnel, 12, 13 personnel, if the Bills buy into that, this is great for Don Concaid because we'll have extra
57:08tight ends on the field and they could do the blocking whereas Concaid could run the routes. And we saw that in this
57:13one. And Concade was [ __ ] awesome.
57:15kind of picking up where he left off the big games from last year. And this was a tough matchup against the Texans. He was
57:20making plays against Derrick Singley like one-on-one. So great to see Concaid um let's actually check how many snaps he was on the field for, how many routs
57:28he ran.
57:3122 routes. So clearly like dominated uh the other tight ends there. 12 for Knox, three for Jackson Haw, and one for Latu.
57:39Um yeah, he just you just love to see that. So Good for concade. DJ Moore first game five for 100 and a touchdown, eight
57:50targets. He he felt like as the summer progressed, he was going to be more and more of a a really solid pick in fantasy
57:57this year where people who are like obsessed with yards per run. Um would just completely, you know, wipe him off their boards. Don't want to go crazy.
58:06It's week one, but looks like a very good fit in that offense. Obviously, he did get rolled up on at one point with
58:11an ankle. I I he and then he returned, but like I something to monitor. I don't think I've heard anything like Stark or
58:18uh concrete with DJ Moore, but definitely something to look at or look for. Flip sides, Shroud, you know, he had his ups and downs. Overall, I I
58:27think looked way better obviously than the way that last year ended. This is a pretty tough pass defense for Buffalo.
58:32Uh David Montgomery, though, he's the story of the game. 20 carries, 60 yards, ends up scoring three touchdowns, one through the air there. Was he efficient
58:39on the ground? No. But this is kind of like why they got him. So they can give him 20 useless carries and
58:44they're going to use him on the goal line, you know, nonstop here. So this is what they brought in David Montgomery
58:50for. This is what you drafted him for.
58:52Um there will be games where he does this without touchdowns though and he will give you, you know, seven or eight
58:58points. You kind of just take the good with the bad here. So obviously a very good game from David Montgomery. Um
59:04we'll have to see how that plays out going forward. Woody Marks almost 10 carries but only a single target to David Montgomery's three. So that was
59:12also good to see in the receiving group.
59:15I mean it was pretty much just all Nico Collins and nobody else I think ran more than 55% of the snaps in this one. Don
59:22Schultz eight targets. Xavier Hudson six targets but no one really does anything.
59:26Jaylen Noel a couple big plays but again he's not really running any routes. So you're not buying into any of the uh
59:31passing options here outside of Nico.
59:33It's not a freaky Nikki.
59:35Raiders Dolphins. Brutal day for Miami.
59:38The Raiders win 27-13 stain. Um, yeah. I mean, stories of the game. Lee Willis plays eh all right. Ends up getting home
59:47via the rushing. So, like, you know, he does all right. I think the Raiders have a chance to be like a decent defense.
59:52They have a good defensive line already.
59:54Uh, pretty good defensive line already at least. And they retoled their entire like linebacker group this offseason to Kobe Dean, Quay Walker. So they they
60:02have a chance to be much better uh than they were last year, especially against the run. And it showed with Devon Chan.
60:08Now again, week one, like we're not making any sweeping takes or anything like that, but this was pretty much exactly why like a lot of people were
60:15fading Devon Chan. If you look at the points that people made as to why like the ADP he he had, especially early in
60:22the summer, were like so aggressive. It was fact that Miami would just never really have game scripts that go in their favor of their running back. And
60:29this was one of the games where like you could talk yourself into saying Miami will have a pretty good game script
60:33here. Didn't happen. Um Malik Willis rushes for 40 yards, takes the only rushing touchdown. It wasn't like a goal line rush. He took it from far out but
60:43or 14 yards out. But point is like this is going to happen with a mobile quarterback. And when Malik Willis tucks
60:49it and runs six different times last year, Tuo was never doing that. those six rushes more often than not were turning into an extra two or three
60:57targets per game for Devon Han. So it was like everything we were worried about as fantasy players about investing into Devon Han was like it came to
61:05fruition in week one. Han will have his big games obviously you know that's the type of player he is and I'm sure he'll
61:11have very very high ceiling games because he's so explosive but you know like this is this is this is what they
61:17warn the kids about man. uh receiver group. Caleb Douglas leads the team.
61:22Seven targets, five catches, 94 yards.
61:24This was like what we were kind of saying most of the summer is like if you're going to take a shot uh at like a
61:30random rookie receiver, like I preferred Chris Bell, and he wasn't the right one this week, but Caleb Douglas was one of
61:36the other guys. It was like, all right, you know, see what happens in this receiver room. Is it Chris Bell? Is it
61:40Caleb Douglas? Chris Bell was a guy that, you know, first of all, he's just coming off the ACL tear, so gonna take
61:45him a minute to get ramped up, but Caleb Douglas was making plays, and he was all summer. So, he's going to be ranked very
61:50high on people's Waverwire pickups, uh, their rankings, you know, those videos tomorrow. I will be doing our Waverwire video tomorrow, of course, which will go
61:59live probably around noonish Eastern time. And if you are a fantasy member on the site, you will have access to our
62:06uh, rankings, which actually are they're not live right now. These are like dummy ones, but this is where they will be.
62:12We'll have a lot of good information for you. So, we'll have um you know the waiverwire ranking. Obviously, you'll get full writeups in here. You'll get
62:21our fab suggestion, whether or not we'd use the number one waiverwire on this player. You'll get their Vegas props for the upcoming week. Uh you'll see their
62:27next three matchups. But you could always click into the player here. Uh look at the write up for their waiverwire section. Look at the matchup
62:33data. You'll be able to see their player props again. You'll be able to see if there's any weather concerns for the
62:37upcoming matchup. You'll be able to see rest of season schedule, etc. Like that.
62:41everything you need to make like your better waiverwire decisions. Um you can sync your league and kind of just see who's available, who's not available in
62:48your league as well relative to our rankings. Again, if you're a fantasy member, you have access to that as well as our sitar rankings and our sitar
62:54decider tool on bge.co.
62:59Um yeah, so Caleb Douglas will definitely be on the waiverwire rankings for this upcoming week. I'm still uh very very fine holding on to Chris Bell
63:09as well. Raiders Kirk Cousins 160 and three story here no doubt about it.
63:14Ashen Genty 23 102 on the ground adds six for 45 touchdowns through the air.
63:20Amazing game comes through with a 30 banger for you in PPR leagues. Uh are they playing Miami every week? No. Will
63:26this happen every week? No. But just good to see him out there dominating touches. Um you know getting 29 touches off the rip. Great to see. Clearly very
63:35fully healthy. Clearly explosive. no uh remnants of the, you know, the death the deathly ankle sprain that he suffered in August here. So, Genty looks locked and
63:45loaded. Looks like he's going to, you know, kind of come to fruition, the the the chosen one that many people were
63:50riding on this off seasonason. But again, you know, harder matchups ahead will be far worse games. No Brock Bowers in this one. Had the random knee
63:58cleanup. Feel for the for the people that drafted right before the Bowowers news and then they just dropped that randomly. That's a tough one. Um,
64:06don't know don't know what his status really is going to be for week two or week three. You know, they're saying
64:12like, oh, he might be ready for week two. I really don't know. I'm not going to make a proclamation about his health.
64:18Feels [clears throat] feels like a a tough sale to me right now, but who knows? And if he is ready for week two,
64:23is he going to [ __ ] reinjure that thing again like he did last year when he tried to play through it? It's tough.
64:28It's a tough situation for Bowowers, guys. Um, I do really like Michael Mayer behind him, though. I know he had like a
64:34relatively disappointing game, but seven targets did lead the team. Six catches, 32 yards. So, overall, not a not like a dud of a PPR day and I do think he'll
64:42continue to be like a feature part of this passing offense, especially with Kurt Cousins um at the helm here. You know, when the Raiders are dominating
64:49game script like they were 37 carries, like that's not going to be the norm here. Uh only 21 pass completions to 37
64:57carries in games where they're playing tougher opponents. Like not going to be the case there. Um D. Yeah, behind Genty and Mayer, like a whole lot of nothing
65:06here. So, no, no one in the Raiders receiving group do we want to have in our freaking lineups.
65:13Packers Vikings next game. I mean, holy Um, the Packers like like won this game except they lost by 17. I don't
65:24know what to tell you there. Uh, injury concerns here. Kyler Murray goes kind of two mode, gets uh hit really hard in the
65:32head, suffered a concussion obviously.
65:35Very real chance he misses week two. Um there is, you know, a slight chance he still plays in week two, but I don't
65:43know there most uh most of the time when a quarterback suffers a concussion, they miss one week and then return the
65:48following week. Carson Wentz filled in 133 and three thanks to Justin Jeffstein just being goated. Uh the kid is back 8
65:54for 92, two touchdowns. This was uh in in in non McCarthy, non Brosmer starts last year, Justin Jefferson averaged 95 yards a game. And you know, receiver
66:04touchdowns just feel very fluky um from year to year. They're very hard to predict. So maybe we're seeing him bounce back into his favor. the
66:13backfield split for Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones. I was pregame before kickoff I was really toying between Jordan Mason and Jacobe Meyers as to
66:23like who I should get into my lineup and like I posted on Twitter 90% of the replies were like Mason, Mason, Mason. I
66:29ended up going Myers and it was right but barely. It was like Myers had like 12.3 points and Mason ended up with like
66:3511.8 points. But like my hesitation to Mason was like, "Yeah, all the chatter this summer was about how like they're building their running game through
66:44him." And then I tweeted this out pregame. I was like, "Yeah, but I don't know. Like it wouldn't surprise me at
66:50all if Aaron Jones started this game and then Aaron Jones gets goal line work."
66:54And like both of those things happened.
66:56And I just don't think they're like I just don't know how much legitimacy there is to Jordan Mason being the guy
67:02in the back field. They had a drive start on like the literally the one yard line and Jordan Mason scored because of
67:07that. But Aaron Jones is very very involved. Neither of them catch any passes here. So like to say I'm confident in in Jordan Mason
67:15going forward would definitely be a lie.
67:17Um I think he's like a shaky flex but you know guess you could do worse.
67:22Packers. So we had no Josh Shakeups. I'm going be honest. I was kind of high on Marshon Lloyd. Turned out to be a
67:28terrible choice. Here's here's what happened in this game. Jordan Love threw for almost 400 yards, two touchdowns.
67:34Brian Flores dialed up a pressure or a blitz on almost 80% of the Packers drop backs. That's kind of what he's known
67:43for, right? Like exotic blitzes and stuff. And that was a stat that uh I'm relaying from Hayden Hayden Winks over at Yahoo. Um so shout out to him for the
67:52for the deep dive there. But why this became a problem, it was it was like a bend until you break situation for the
67:59Packers. Jordan Love, he had so many plays where the pressure got to him so quickly and then he was just kind of like [ __ ] chucking it
68:10off his back foot and it worked sometimes. It worked very early on for that early touchdown rip to Christian Watson where he broke down the sideline.
68:21Uh, but the problem is like the Packers offensive line is bad, man. They are bad. And when you continue to dial up
68:26pressure at the rate that Brian Flores does, like that's just not a match that's going to hold over well for the
68:33entirety of the game. And it it ends up coming down to, I guess, like a lot of 50/50 balls or a lot of like just
68:39gambles that you're taking. And Jordan Love is that's the type of player he is.
68:42And, you know, he's good enough where a lot of the time that works out, but this one it didn't. mainly because Laflur is
68:48making some [ __ ] boneheaded decisions down the rip. But like that's kind of the story of the game to me here. Um
68:54Christian Watson looked awesome. Matthew Golden 12 targets. Tucker Craft I want to say was only on the field for like 40%
69:02of the route. So they are very clearly taking that like ease him back into the game um mode seriously. Let's see. 22 routes on
69:1242 drop backs. Yeah. So just above 50%.
69:14All right. So, a little bit higher than I thought actually, but still like Tucker Craft is a dude. He should be on
69:17the field obviously for nearly every single down. That that will, you know, that'll get higher and higher. I think he looked good though. So, it was good
69:23to see overall the receiver room again.
69:26Like, listen, if you're surprised by this was this was what they were telling us all summer. They were like, "It's Watson and it's Golden as the wide
69:34receiver. One and two. Jaden Reed is going to play a purely slot role."
69:39If you're surprised by this, you have nobody to blame but yourself. So Jaden Reed's got to make the most of his
69:45opportunities. Three for 20 there. Did get seven targets. So it's not nothing, but like there's very very very very clearly a pecking order here. Um
69:54Golden's the outside dude. Six for 95.
69:57Would have believe that's probably the best game of his career already. Watson, best fantasy day of his career uh as well. So feel really good if someone has
70:05Watson in his big money league. Um Golden I'd feel pretty good about this as well. We'll have to see what kind of
70:13splits they end up, you know, carrying forward with this lack of success from their running backs between Marshon Lloyd and Chris Brooks. Uh, we should
70:21have Josh Jacobs is hearing like Well, let me get the exact date for you. I got to say, I forgot how much these [ __ ]
70:29live streams hurt my throat, bro. Just yapping for 80 minutes straight.
70:35His court date is scheduled September 10th and then he's meeting with the NFL. When in the I thought that
70:44I thought it was like in a week.
70:50Did he have the court date already?
70:53Am I an idiot? Please. No contest to misdemeanor charges. Okay. Yeah. I think he's meeting with the NFL.
71:00Wow. They had him pay a thousand fine.
71:03It's huge.
71:06All right, we'll see. We'll probably get worried about his suspension length, I would say, in the next couple weeks. Um, I don't know. If I had to guess, it
71:13won't be more than six games. So, uh, for now, we'll probably get a high level of passing from Jordan Love in this
71:21Green Bay Packers offense.
71:26Eagles and Commanders, I mean, you want to talk about a sloppy game overall.
71:30Like it's funny because you look at Jaylen Herz 8.1 yards per attempt three touchdowns looks you know great on paper. Saquon Barkley 5.4 5.5 yards per
71:39carry there. Uh we just like didn't see it didn't feel smooth. It didn't feel like the players that we wanted to have
71:45big games for fantasy had big games.
71:47Smitty led the team in targets with six but only caught three for 53. Dallas Gddard. This was something we were talking about before games kicked off,
71:53too, that like Dallas Gddard, it feels like he's being underrated in the in the fact that like everyone's really high on
72:02Smitty, myself included, because AJ Brown's gone. But like Dallas Goddard also going to be a huge beneficiary of AJ Brown not being there. And we saw
72:09that come to fruition in week one. Four for 77, two touchdowns. So huge fantasy day from him. Obviously, Dantavian Wixs all summer was kind of like the clear
72:16wide receiver too here. While Mai Lemon missed most of summer camp with his hamstring strain, he ends up He only catches two passes, but 73 yards in c
72:24including a 64 yard uh catch. And he does get into the end zone as well.
72:30To me, uh I mean ran a lot of routes, 31 routes, only two more than Mai Lemon. 13% target per run rate.
72:41Yeah, I I get it. I get it with Wix, but like he's not someone I'm going to be prioritizing on the wire. Mainly
72:46because like I think at best he's the third most prioritized target in an offense that's just simply not going to throw
72:54the ball a ton. So like sure, he'll have some spike games like he did today, but I think more often than not, he's going
72:59to put up dud games for you.
73:02Um, also just a note about both of these teams. Both these teams implementing brand new offenses, brand new offense coordinators, brand new schemes for the
73:11very first time. So, I think there's a real chance. One, I was not expecting much success from the Commanders regardless with this, you know, being in
73:17Philly for the first game. Was not expecting a good game by any stretch.
73:21Um, the Eagles, obviously, you'd like to see way more success against the Washington Commanders. But I will say like again to make a sweeping judgment
73:29about teams that have brand new offensive coordinators, brand new schemes right away like feels dramatic.
73:36So, I would I would sit on that pause resume for a couple more weeks before we want to like, you know, ride the train off
73:44the tracks here. Washington Stain. Uh, yeah, I had absolutely no hope in Terry McLaren this week. I just I'm I'm I'm
73:52worried about Terry, but I'm I'm really worried about him going against uh Quinan this week, and obviously that was not a good match up. He started him.
74:00Jiga Conquo, I believe, left with a hamstring strain and opened things up for Antonio Williams. Man, he was a guy that we really liked early on in the
74:06summer, but like he got almost no run with the first team. Ended up seeing four targets, made the most of it, four
74:12for 64, caught a touchdown. Diggs really strong game, nine targets, obviously with like Terry getting locked up by Quinnon. Diggs ended up kind of running
74:19a muck in the slot there. And that could be a really valuable role for him if he's not like asked to run a ton of
74:24downfield routes. Nine targets, more than doubled anyone else on the team.
74:28455 any touchdown. I think one of the the other bigger takeaways was JCM uh versus the rest of the backfield. So
74:35Jakoy Kroski Merrett, he was the dude I wanted to target in this backfield. I think he looked by far in a way the best
74:43out of any of the runners in this backfield. Uh 16 for 63, you know, more than uh more more than both Rashad White and
74:52Kron Allen combined for a touchdown. He did lose a fumble though or he did fumble the ball and uh that's when Kron
74:59Allen kind of came onto the field at the end of the game. So something to keep an eye on. But JCM did get the goal line
75:04work, scored the touchdown, 16 carries, pretty strong. And Rashad White supposed to be this like big-time pass catcher.
75:10Stinks on the ground. We already knew that. But again, Jaden Daniels just does not really throw the ball to running backs. So yeah, Rashad White always felt
75:17like a bad pick.
75:20And they'll they'll have better days ahead because they'll have better matchups ahead. So, Washington plays Cowboys next week. Seahawks is tough,
75:26but Colts, Giants, yeah, Niners, Rams, tough. Giants, Bengals, Cardinals, Titans. That's a [ __ ] nice stretch right there. Um, yeah. I mean, not the easiest schedule,
75:37but like when they're not playing at Philly, I expect better days for Jakory.
75:41I expect better days for Terry and definitely Jaden. Jad Jaden ended up being all right. Two touchdown passes.
75:47Um, running for his [ __ ] life, man.
75:49That offensive line is uh Yes. Little little problematic. Don't want to get political here, but little problematic.
75:57Next up, we got the Cardinals and the Chargers. She Cardinals win by 12 points, 26 to 14, knocking 97% of people
76:04out of their survivor pools here.
76:05Chargers were 10-point favorites going into the game. Jacobe picks up where he left off last year despite uh Oh, I got
76:12a sneeze coming. Come on.
76:19got another [ __ ] 45 minutes of energy out of me with that one. Uh, Jacobe 37 pass attempts, 277, and a touchdown
76:26through the air. 7.5 yards per attempt.
76:28Trey McBride goes crazy. Nine for 95 and a touchdown. So, those two just pick right back up where they left off last
76:34year. You just actually love to see it.
76:35I was worried about this game for them because I thought the Charge defense is going to be good. Turns out they lose
76:40Jesse Mer and they lose their identity.
76:42Not great for this defense. So, they're not a very talented group of players.
76:46They have like a few talented guys, but overall they're not a great defense. And now that they lose Mter, there's there's
76:51a chance that they're not very good as a defensive unit. Um, Michael Wilson, seven targets, Marvin Harrison, three targets, one catch, 33 yards. This
77:01terrified me all summer. I really wanted zero piece of Marvin Harrison. And like this was why everyone kept citing the fact that when Marvin Harrison returned
77:09last year, he got all the targets while Michael Wilson, you know, kind of fell back to a secondary role. To me, that
77:17never felt like a talent thing. That felt like a, oh, we we need to force the issue with Marvin Harrison Jr. Like he's
77:23our top five pick. We need to get that going again. And now we have a brand new coach and a brand new offensive
77:28coordinator and a brand new scheme being implemented here. And I'm not saying that Michael Wilson's going to outtarget Marvin Harrison every single week, but
77:35I'm not not saying that either. So, yeah, Marv to me felt like a a terrifying mid round pick. Um, and I
77:44will say, man, like as as good as the first week kind of felt for Arizona, they've got a schedule from [ __ ]
77:50hell.
77:52Seahawks next week at 49ers the week after that. Giants. Nice little letup, but after that it's Lions, Rams, Broncos Cowboys Seahawks Rams
78:01Chiefs. Uh, yeah, tough one. But I guess, you know what, like Giants, Lions, like Lions are not a defense you're scared of. Cowboys are not a
78:09defense you're scared of. They're just going to get beat. They're just going to get beat a lot. Like a bad step kid,
78:14man.
78:16Shout out my stepdad.
78:19I don't have a stepdad. I've never had a stepdad. Never had a real dad either.
78:24But, you know, we're not talking. We're not here to to to therapize, talk about therapeutic things. Uh Clint Kubak said he now considers tight end
78:33Brock Bowers to be dayto-day after last week's meniscus trim. We'll see about that. Let's see about that. Clint, um
78:45what else is going on? All right. Yeah.
78:46So, backfield, backfield, back field.
78:48Jeremiah Love's first game as a rookie.
78:51Yeah, he I mean, listen, he split touches drastically with Tyler Algier. I I can't imagine anyone was expecting anything other than that coming off of
78:59the high ankle sprain. This is about what I expected this split to be. Maybe maybe a little bit more in favor of like
79:0450/50, but this it's going to be fine.
79:06Jeremiah Love going forward. by like week four onwards after week four it's going to be the Jeremiah Love show with Tyler Alier getting he'll be like I
79:14don't know like Blake Corin maybe where it's like Love gets 13 carries a game, Alier gets nine, but Love probably gets
79:21all the pass catching work in again an offense that's going to throw the ball 40 times and probably gets the majority
79:26of goal line work. So yeah, week one fine. He saved you if you had him in your lineup because he scored a
79:30touchdown, but he's going to get better and better and better as the week progresses. So, I'm I'm not worried about this split being like sticky all
79:37throughout the year. What I am worried about is this [ __ ] Chargers offense.
79:42They looked horrendous. Every part of this team looked horrendous. They looked clunky. Uh I will say Vlad Maki was on fire to start the game. Seven targets,
79:50five catches, 82 yards, touchdown. He ends up getting hurt. He takes a big shot over the middle. Um they said it's
79:56a chest injury, which probably points towards it being a rib injury. uh don't have any sort of like concrete information or update I believe until we
80:06get scans or an MRI. Let me uh search his name on on Twitter real quick.
80:26Lad did have a 38% target share over the first five drives. You do hate to see that.
80:32>> [snorts] >> Yeah, I mean we just don't really have a uh don't really have any updates. Could be a rib contusion, could be a pain
80:41management thing, could be a rib fracture. Like we just don't know right now. Obviously, it's a huge hit to the Chargers offense if he's gone. Like,
80:49who's the next guy up? QJ was terrible in this game, but you have to think he is kind of the next guy up. Trey Harris
80:54played a ton of snaps, though. I think he ran as many routes as Quint Johnson did in this one.
81:04Yep. 27 apiece once lad Maconi left and Trey Harris actually had a higher target per route run rate. Um, running short
81:12routes. Kind of like a very low A dot for these types of players. An eight out of eight for Trey Harris and just 11 for
81:19Quint Johnson. Shout out to Mario D or Darius Davis though. 54 A dot.
81:25It's [ __ ] nightmare blunt rotation.
81:28Um, so tight ends getting involved in Jooku 5 for 58. Or on Gatson, two for 32. Um, gotta look more into Jooku here. I
81:37didn't realize he had such a strong statline. Ran 17 routes. Charlie Charlie Kolar ran 12. Gatson ran five. Uh, Jooku may be a player this year, especially if
81:46Vlad is out. Let's keep our eye on that one. Let's put him into the waiverwire rankings this week. Backfield for the
81:52Chargers. Amarin Hampton does get in. He didn't look good in this game. I will say that. Didn't get a single target in
81:56this one either. 12 of 43 on the ground.
81:59Um, you know, again, don't want to overreact, but after all the positive reports of Mike McDaniel this uh this summer and then going against the
82:08Cardinals, who were like one of the worst defenses in the NFL last year, like again, don't want to overreact, but like
82:15something's got to give here.
82:18I had a really intrusive thought that I put on camera [clears throat] right before we kicked off our live stream yesterday about the Chargers. And this
82:27was before the game happened, too. So, it was about why I think the Chargers could possibly struggle this year. It's like something I don't want
82:36to put on record yet. Like, it is somewhere out there on on camera, but it wasn't like in a in a in a right to your
82:41face kind of way. I'm gonna I'm gonna wait another three weeks.
82:47to to let things flatten out before I actually uh before I actually like come out and say why I think the Chargers are struggling
82:56if they do end up struggling over the next few weeks. They have a really good game next week and then their schedule
83:01gets [ __ ] brutal. So, they get the Cardinals, they get the Raiders next week, but then they get the Bills,
83:05Seahawks Broncos Chiefs Rams Texans Ravens. Like, I don't think you could draw up a more difficult six team schedule if you tried.
83:16So yeah, I mean if they don't beat the Raiders next week, they're in hell.
83:22Uh the interior of their offensive line looked like a problem. You know, they get their tackles back, which is great, but then they signed Tyler Bottes, who
83:30then they just lost for the season, and their interior was not good. So that looks like it might be a problem once
83:36again. But you bring in a guy like Mike McDaniels because like he's typically very good at scheming up run games that
83:42are successful without having a super strong offensive line. So again, don't want to overreact, but like it's not like the Chargers were playing Philly or
83:51Houston or Denver. Like they were playing the Cardinals. So a little bit worrisome.
83:58Last game of Sunday, the Giants versus the Cowboys. The Giants take them down 28-20. And shout out New York. Shout out
84:07both New York teams starting 1 and0. I don't know when the last time that [ __ ] happened was, but it had to be minimum a
84:13decade ago. Uh Jackson Dart was [ __ ] awesome in this one. 233 touchdowns. Cam Scatteraboo was awesome in this one. 18
84:19for 81 and a touchdown on the ground.
84:22Gets it done for fantasy. Doesn't catch a single pass which is kind of [ __ ] annoying, man. Like come on now. Devin
84:28Singleary out here catching four passes and a touchdown. Um Dart was awesome. I think my biggest takeaway is that the Dallas Cowboys defense like
84:38like they were supposed to do what the Cincinnati Bengals did where they were like completely revamped and should look a lot better immediately. They just
84:44didn't. I'm not saying they won't get better, but it's very clear that the Dallas Cowboys were not a good defense on the field last night. They did not
84:51put a good product on the field last night. And Jackson Dart looked great.
84:55Looked poised. Made the right throws.
84:58Was floating them up and down the zones. Like Dart looked awesome.
85:02Isaiah likely looked awesome. It was awesome that we got Malik Neighbors out there. Uh, clearly not 100%. Like clearly we're we're lacking a little bit
85:09of that Malik Neighbors kind of swag, aura, explosiveness, but led the team in targets with nine. Six for 69. Like clearly going to be uh pretty good
85:20pretty [ __ ] fast. I do wonder how many routes he ended up running in this one.
85:2524 routes. Okay, so you know, not surprising. 26 routes for Darn Amoon, 21 for Malachi Fields. target per route run though 38%. Like once Malik is I
85:34mean once he's running you know once he's running a route on every drop back I mean 29 routes 29 drop backs for
85:41Jackson Dar 24 routes is pretty heavy but once he's up in the 29 out of 29 range he's probably still going to be
85:47sitting around 35 to 38% of the target per run rate like Malik's going to go bonkers this year once he gets
85:52healthy. So, might be a little bit of a slow start, but even even in the slow start like this, like kind of a nice
85:58floor. Six for 69. Isaiah likely was awesome. Again, this is one I don't want to overreact to fully because the Dallas
86:06Cowboys defense might just be pretty bad. Cam Scatabot. Let's look at the snap rates, though. 61% for for Scat, 37% for Deon Singleary. He took,
86:16you know, almost all of the rushing work. Split routes pretty evenly, though. 41% to 53%. Just didn't get the targets. I think that's just, you know,
86:23a one game sample size. We don't want to overreact to Singleary getting four uh four targets while Cam almost ran as
86:31many routes as he did. That that could easily flip next week. So, not overly concerned, but love to see the short
86:36down and distance was all Cam inside the five was all Cam. Uh two-minute drill.
86:40You do wish it was a little bit more in favor of Cam. He's a player that could play that way, but he's just like their
86:44battering ram man. And Naji Harris, a couple other notes on the back field.
86:48Tyrone Tracy went in like got one snap, fumbled the ball like he's done with New York. Uh Naji Harris inactive for this
86:54one. I do think he likely ends up being active. Um week two, probably week three
87:04at the latest.
87:07Uh so will add possibly another wrinkle into this backfield, but overly optimistic for Cam. I thought he looked great and you know, just fun to see him
87:14on the field there. Um flip side of thing for the Cowboys, no real takeaways. I mean, bad game from Dak, obviously. Wish wish we saw a little bit
87:22of a a better game out here for him.
87:24They are missing um what the [ __ ] his name? Tyler Smith or one of their stud offensive linemen for uh that's not
87:31Tyler. Is it Tyler Smith? Tyler Smith is is the uh guard for the Chiefs. I don't know why this is evading me right now.
87:38They lost one of their best offensive lineman like right before the season started for the next like six weeks or eight weeks um on IR. So maybe that
87:45played a role. But Javvante Williams, Bellcal, 17 touches, ends up getting into the end zone twice. Pretty predictable here. Um, receivers CD eight targets, five for 44
87:55and a touchdown. Gets home via fantasy, but they just didn't have like the Giants dominated game script here. I believe the Cowboys had two drives the
88:03entire second half. Like just a beautifully executed game by the New York Giants. Uh, so just not much you could really do for the Cowboys. like he
88:12had to take advantage of their of the the limited opportunities they had and George Pickkins did not do. I'm not worried about him obviously, but he had
88:18two he had a couple plays where it's just like probably should have made the play. He he sometimes he just gets like
88:24it's annoying owning him. Like it's it was awesome having him last year in my big league, but it got kind of annoying
88:29because there would be like times where he could do [ __ ] that nobody else could do, but then he just like he just like
88:35he was like, "Nah, I don't feel like really doing I don't feel like catching this ball that's right here for me. I
88:40just feel like kind of being lazy right now. Like [ __ ] it. Just just like hit me next time, you know? And he'll do that
88:45and it'll just be like drops that go through his hands and it's just kind of frustrating. Like there's there's still tough plays out there obviously. Like he
88:51ain't trying to drop them, but that's that's kind of the George picking show.
88:54So not overly concerned about anyone on uh on Dallas here. It's still very very targeted between, you know, you start Dak, you start Javvante, start CD, start
89:02George, and move off.
89:05Likely though, I mean, this is this is one of the stories of the game for sure.
89:08It's just the fact that like all summer long everyone was saying Likely's, you know, the wide receiver too in this offense. It's likely. It's likely. It's
89:14likely. And then he goes out and just balls. So, good to see, man.
89:20Good to see you, man. All right. 2,000 people in here. How you doing? 2,000 people with only 300 thumbs up.
89:27You guys are trying to hurt my feelings.
