0:04about a month until kickoff. And two,
0:06does it move Jonathan Brooks up because
0:09he's getting more training camp snaps,
0:10or are there other ulterior motives here
0:13that you're moving Brooks on one way or
0:15another?
0:16>> So, the injury to Brooks, it's a
0:19nothingburger for me cuz I wasn't
0:20drafting him anyways. It's just not the
0:22running back that I like to target in my
0:24draft.

0:28wasn't drafting him to begin with, and
0:30an injury to him, it just makes it
0:31easier for me to draft Brooks. I I'm
0:33going to chase him up the draft board. I

0:39ranks. So, I I'm willing to push Brooks
0:43pretty high up the board. The one thing
0:45that is particularly intriguing for me
0:48in this spot, and Brian Heath had a good
0:50tweet about it earlier this off season,
0:52and it's something that if you've been
0:53paying attention over the last couple
0:55years since Dave Canales has arrived in
0:58Carolina, Dave Canales, he just gives
1:01the ball to whoever is playing better at
1:03running back. In 2024, we saw Chuba
1:05completely ice Miles Sanders. Last year,
1:08it was the Rico Dowdle show after he
1:10broke out following Chuba's injury.
1:12Obviously, Chuba does start working back
1:14in down the stretch, but players who are
1:15good are rewarded. And and we see that
1:17time and time out. The thing that makes
1:19me excited about Brooks is if Chuba does
1:21miss time in the regular season, Brooks
1:24has a really nice opportunity to show
1:27that he's the real deal. The Panthers
1:28get the Bears in week one, and last year
1:32they had a horrific run defense, bottom
1:3510 in yards per game, yards per carry,
1:37yards before contact per attempt. So,
1:39this is a primo matchup. Of course, the
1:42Bears defense, they had some injuries
1:43last year. They make some additions this
1:46off season, but this is an opportunity
1:48for Brooks to put his talents on display
1:50and really seize the backfield right
1:51from the get-go. And from a talent
1:53perspective, Brooks is a complete
1:55mystery box. I liked the profile coming
1:57out of college. He's a dynamic playmaker
1:59in space. He can catch the ball out of
2:01the backfield and do something in the
2:02receiving game. So, there's a lot to
2:04like there. Coming off two ACL tears, we
2:06never know what we're going to get, but
2:07it's setting up to where he's going to
2:09have the opportunity to potentially
2:11seize at least the 1A role in this
2:14backfield right away, which to me is
2:16particularly exciting because we know
2:18how run-heavy this offense is. Perhaps
2:20they improve as a whole.
