Bijan Robinson

NegativeUsage10:02

Bijan Robinson is used as a benchmark for the elite receiving workhorse role that the source believes Jaleel McLaughlin needs to achieve to reach his fantasy ceiling.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveUsage12:27

Brock Bowers is expected to be the primary focal point of the Raiders' passing attack. The source notes that a lack of quality wide receivers on the team will likely lead to Bowers being the main target, potentially increasing check-down volume for running backs by default.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

NegativeValue10:13

CeeDee Lamb is used as a draft capital benchmark, with the source expressing hesitation about taking Zamir White ahead of elite receivers like Lamb in high-stakes formats.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeBust12:59

The source explicitly fades Chase Brown at his current ADP, noting that drafting him ahead of elite players like CeeDee Lamb and Justin Jefferson in FFPC formats is unjustifiable. While he may be more viable in best ball as part of a well-structured team, he lacks the elite talent upside required for redraft formats.

Insight page

Chris Brooks

NegativeDepth Chart56:56

Brooks is currently behind MarShawn Lloyd on the Packers' depth chart, though he saw some work in pass protection and on third downs during the preseason game.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveProjection45:05

Chris Olave's fantasy upside has received a significant boost following recent injuries to other players.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeValue12:13

Christian McCaffrey is viewed as a gold-standard receiving back, but the source questions the logic of drafting him at his current age over high-upside first-round rookies in mock draft scenarios.

Insight page

D'Onta Foreman

NegativeInjury37:03

The injury to D'Onta Foreman is cited as a key turning point that changed the fantasy outlook and opportunity for Mike Washington.

Insight page

Demarcus Robinson

NegativeDepth Chart29:24

Demarcus Robinson is currently running ahead of Stribling on the depth chart.

Insight page

Devontez Walker

PositiveValue54:58

Walker is viewed as a superior prospect to Pearsall and has had an impressive summer. He is expected to play a significant role and serve as a primary target, making him a better value relative to the current market hype surrounding Pearsall.

Insight page

Dylan Laube

NegativeValue37:02

Dylan Laube's current ADP is considered inflated due to overreactions to the Zamir White injury scare. While he has utility as a managed league stash for his clear 'start' signal if White is out, he is not a 'clean' prospect like Dameon Pierce or Isiah Pacheco. He is a two-down backup with limited receiving upside, and his college statistical profile is compared to Kalen Ballage, which the source views as a red flag.

Insight page

Isaac Guerendo

PositiveValue35:46

Isaac Guerendo is a strong comparison for a handcuff play, noted for being a valuable, low-cost target during his rookie draft cycle. He is also used as a benchmark for potential value in downside scenarios for other prospects.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveValue41:08

The source identifies Janarian Price as a priority draft target, specifically recommending that drafters lock up the correlation between him and Jeremiah Love.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveProjection12:13

Jahmyr Gibbs possesses massive upside, with the source noting that a path to 29.5 points per game is plausible and comparable to peak Christian McCaffrey production. He serves as a benchmark for elite receiving backs featured heavily in their passing games.

Insight page

Jakobi Meyers

NegativeValue30:16

Jakobi Meyers is considered to be in the same tier as Stribling, marking the point where the source becomes willing to consider Stribling's upside.

Insight page

Jaleel McLaughlin

PositiveRole10:02

Jaleel McLaughlin's fantasy success hinges on a sophomore leap in receiving volume, potentially reaching a Bijan Robinson-level workhorse role. While the source is skeptical of his elite downfield receiving talent, they highlight his 2023 efficiency with 3.19 yards per route run and his ability to operate in space as a tackle-breaker, comparing his potential year-two growth to Le'Veon Bell's breakout.

Insight page

James Conner

NegativeDepth Chart60:18

Conner's presence on the roster is cited as a factor that could lead to the release of younger players like Trey Benson, highlighting his status as a veteran the team prioritizes.

Insight page

James Cook

NegativeBust12:06

James Cook is a fade for the source despite his talent in a top-five offense; he carries 'silent killer' bust potential in the first round. While he posted 16.5 PPG last year, he had a concerning 14% advance rate and was not a strong fantasy pick at his ADP. The source believes he could easily regress in scoring this season.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

NegativeInjury15:15

The source is concerned about Javonte Williams due to an ankle injury and the team's quarterback situation, which could lead to back-weighted production. While he was previously a first-round pick, his value is better in the late second round, even if he fails to hit a 23 PPG ceiling.

Insight page

Jayden Higgins

NegativeInjury3:38

Jayden Higgins suffered a significant, major injury during the preseason.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveValue33:26

Jeremiah Love is considered a high-value draft target who should be selected early in dynasty formats and is used as a pricing benchmark for other players like Gentry.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveRole59:16

Jonathan Brooks is emerging as a rookie running back that his team clearly trusts, marking a positive development for his fantasy outlook.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeRole57:26

Jacobs faces uncertainty regarding a potential suspension and is coming off a less efficient season. His workload could be challenged by MarShawn Lloyd, potentially leading to a committee backfield that negatively impacts his fantasy value.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

NegativeValue10:13

Justin Jefferson is used as a draft capital benchmark, with the source expressing hesitation about taking Zamir White ahead of elite receivers like Jefferson in high-stakes formats.

Insight page

Kayshon Boutte

PositiveRole36:55

Boutte is projected as the most likely WR2 in two-receiver sets for Houston. While Xavier Hutchinson may start the season with more trust due to incumbency, Boutte is considered the superior talent who excels at winning on downfield splash plays, making him a viable late-round target (ADP 160-170) on C.J. Stroud teams.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

NegativeUsage28:07

Keeton Mitchell is used as a stylistic benchmark for the type of space-running touches, such as sweeps and tosses, that Mike Washington might receive in the offense.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveInjury5:01

Kenneth Walker dealt with a minor foot issue, but the source indicates it does not appear to be anything major.

Insight page

Kirk Cousins

NegativeUsage12:36

If Kirk Cousins plays a significant portion of the season, his tendency to check the ball down frequently could provide a reliable volume floor for running backs in that offense.

Insight page

Le'Veon Bell

NegativeProjection9:26

Le'Veon Bell is used as a historical benchmark for the type of significant performance leap a running back can make during their sophomore season. Le'Veon Bell is used as a historical example of a running back who made a significant leap in his sophomore season, providing a template for the potential growth the source envisions for Jaleel McLaughlin.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveUsage56:46

Lloyd has clearly established himself ahead of Chris Brooks in the Packers' rotation, earning trust as the clear number two back. He was utilized in the red zone and on a downfield passing target, suggesting upside beyond pure contingency; he could potentially push Josh Jacobs for work, leading to a committee backfield. Additionally, the source notes Lloyd has successfully turned around a disappointing rookie year.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveValue30:10

The source expresses a personal preference for Matthew Golden, ranking him ahead of Stribling.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

PositiveBreakout27:06

Mike Washington has been electric in the preseason, recording 15 touches for 130 yards with two long breakaway runs, establishing himself as the clear RB2. He has real utility as a potential starter if Ashton Jentsch is out, and would be started over fifth-round picks like TreVeyon Henderson. His profile is compared to Isiah Pacheco, where extreme athleticism and speed may overcome poor college production metrics.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveValue45:05

Nico Collins is a preferred draft target whose upside case has seen a significant boost following recent injuries.

Insight page

Ricky Pearsall

NegativeValue54:11

The market has become over-extended on Pearsall in best ball formats. Even with early production, significant spike weeks are unlikely until mid-season. While his role in the Shanahan offense offers upside, he has become too expensive to draft in best ball, though he remains a consideration in redraft formats.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

NegativeUsage32:11

Trey Tucker is used as an example of a deep-threat role within the Raiders' offensive scheme, specifically regarding how the team utilizes deep shots.

Insight page

TreVeyon Henderson

NegativeValue45:13

TreVeyon Henderson is used as a benchmark for players drafted in the fifth round, with the source suggesting Dylan Laube would be a preferred start over him early in the season if Zamir White were injured.

Insight page

Trey Benson

NegativeRole60:09

Benson's early career trajectory is viewed as disappointing, with the source noting that the median expectation for his type of start is being cut to keep an injured veteran like James Conner.

Insight page

Xavier Hutchinson

NegativeRole36:58

The source expects Xavier Hutchinson to rotate in and potentially start the season with more snaps than Kayshon Boutte due to incumbency and coaching trust, though the source views Boutte as the better long-term talent.

Insight page

Zamir White

NegativeBreakout3:56

The source maintains optimism for Zamir White's sophomore leap, citing his elite prospect profile and ability to operate in space. While an ankle sprain creates an uneasy floor—with a base expectation of one game missed and a range of zero to three—the source believes White has massive upside as a focal point of the Raiders' offense alongside Brock Bowers. Following a price decline, White is now a comfortable target in the late second round for redraft and best ball, whereas he was previously overpriced in the first round of FFPC drafts. Additionally, the source prefers White over Dylan Laube due to White's superior receiving ability.

0:01Welcome to the legendary upside podcast and YouTube channel. My name is Pat Greene. You can follow my content at legendaryupside.com.
0:08With me today, Sam Sherman for our That's Fair Pod. Sam, how's it going?
0:15>> I'm good.
0:16I am streaming this from inside my office. Bit of a Jacob Sanderson move back in the day, but uh yeah, excited to get into some preseason
0:28takeaways. I think a lot of a lot of news has happened since we last chatted.
0:31We had the the Gentry death and rebirth.
0:35>> Yep.
0:35>> You know, a lot a lot of things have happened, so excited to get into it.
0:38>> And you were telling me before we started that this is an office that you're in every day. You've really kind
0:43of made it made it home away from home.
0:45>> Yeah. [laughter] I got everything here to sort of remind me of all the family and friends in my life.
0:51Um >> [laughter] >> you know, it's just I did think about doing like the the Calla you watch the you know, first not
1:00first take around the horn on ESPN back today. Calla Shaw, he was the guy always had like stuff written on his whiteboard
1:06in the background.
1:07>> Oh yeah.
1:08Yeah.
1:08>> I thought about doing like, you know, a bulleted list of like T Higgins verse dot dot dot question mark like a couple
1:15of uh to-do's, but I didn't quite have the time to pull it together. But imagine imagine some good bits.
1:21>> Imagine if that's there. It's just It's just off camera. As is Sam >> [laughter] >> is behind him. You just can't see.
1:28>> here. Yeah, yeah.
1:30>> Is it actually there?
1:31>> No. No.
1:32>> [laughter] >> There's nothing.
1:33>> The way you looked over at it, I was like oh it's It really is.
1:36>> Yeah, there's It's a really sad office.
1:38So I I talked about on the stream. I'm moving uh from Boston, so I not only is my apartment clear uh completely cleared
1:45of all my furniture, that's why I'm here, but also my office is cleared out of all my stuff. So it's pretty just pretty depressing vibe um
1:55all around in this office, but yeah, excited. Excited to get into the show.
1:59>> Yeah, it's uh it's fine, you know.
2:02Pete's got the cool background. Dave's has got his background all set up. The background's not important, you know, the the content. That's that's what
2:07we're focused on here at That's Fair.
2:10Um so yeah, we wanted today to get into some of the takeaways from week two of the preseason, as you mentioned.
2:18I Some of the big takeaways have been injury. Fortunately, uh obviously Jayden Higgins' injury, which you talked about last week was a a big major injury. Um
2:28and then we've had a couple scares since, but nothing that ultimately is going to cost someone, you know, the season. Jeanty's injury was quite
2:37concerning. Turns out that looks like an ankle sprain. Might cost him some games or you know, even he might not be 100%
2:43when he first plays or whatever. We don't really know. The Raiders are kind of being cagey about that, but >> Yeah.
2:48>> it's not his knee. That's awesome. It's not going to be season-ending thing or even like, you know, an 8-9 week thing.
2:53So that's that's really, really fortunate. Ja'Marr Chase had a like a hyperextension incident. He seems fine.
3:01There's been, you know, kind of the like Kenneth Walker had a foot thing. That doesn't seem like anything major. So there's lots of little injuries popping
3:08up. It's kind of like, "Hey, what what if we just chilled? You know, what if we What if we got to week one? Like I think we're
3:14good, right? Everyone's basically kind of healthy, sort of. What if we just uh you know, went to week one? I'm starting
3:21to get nervous that we're going to lose someone else, but you know, fortunately over the last few days haven't been anything too major.
3:27>> Yeah. Now, I was really happy to see the the Jeanty news didn't I mean, it's honestly, like this this might sound like
3:36I don't know, disingenuous, but like I I honestly feel like in fantasy football, like it's really not fun when you don't
3:42get a chance to see who was right or wrong about someone. I'm actually someone coming into the season who was fading Jeanty, but I just think it's
3:49like so unfair to people who were drafting him uh if there's that random outcome in preseason where he he tears his ACL. Like it's always fun to see
3:58players healthy going into the season.
4:01Jalen D's obviously an exciting player.
4:02I do think the interesting thing with him which we can still talk about.
4:05There's There's one which is like the speculation of how many games he's going to miss. I mean I'm I'm kind of with you
4:11where we just like don't know. They're being very cagey. They're not incentivized at all to give us information about that. So like my base
4:20expectation is like one game missed. It could be zero. It could be three maybe.
4:26I think that's all in the range at this point, but I think we really just just don't know.
4:31Um so yeah, I guess I'll I'll pause there. Do you Do you have a similar like base expectation on on games missed for
4:37him or how >> Yeah, I think he might miss a game. I don't think he'll miss, you know, he I think the way you laid it out is is
4:45pretty pretty correct. Like he could miss, you know, maybe three games, but probably not. But it's not impossible either. And then yeah, he could miss no
4:52games. He could be totally fine. I'm writing up his his legendary scenario right now. Um I'm going to have tomorrow morning I'm
5:01going to publish. I'm breaking into parts cuz I I want to get it out sooner rather than later. And so I'm going to have round one part one
5:08drop tomorrow morning. Jalen D's not going to be in that now because his ADP has fallen out of round one, but I do
5:15have his scenarios written up for the second part. And I kept them both at 17 games. I just felt like it was kind of
5:21it was actually kind of cleaner to just be like as you're thinking through whether or not he's a good pick leaving the ankle injury aside and just
5:29kind of thinking about what this player is going to look like when healthy. So I just started him healthy in both
5:34scenarios and just, you know, I felt like isn't this nice to be able to kind of just ignore the ankle injury actually.
5:42And of course it in reality could affect his season in a significant way, but I think you can tell a story where he's a
5:47bad pick without the ankle injury, which goes to, you know, you're saying you weren't really into him before he got hurt. I think, you know, with the
5:54ankle injury, if he's even if he like has a slow week one or week two, he can still absolutely crush this season.
6:02Um I came away from Jente actually, just on the subject, thinking it's receiving. It's It's he needs to emerge as like, you know, kind of in the
6:10Bijan level receiving workhorse.
6:13>> Yeah.
6:14>> Um uh you know, type of role. And if he gets there, I don't think we're going to care about a slow start to the ankle. If
6:22he doesn't get there, I think the ankle is not going to be the reason why he doesn't work out. So, um yeah, his his
6:28path was one of the almost more binary ones where it's like, yeah, it really comes down to to whether or not he has this big jump in
6:36receiving, which is the type of thing we sometimes see from year two backs, but also the type of thing that could
6:41totally not happen. So, Yeah, that's an interesting one.
6:45>> Yeah, I've been trying to think the receiving thing through with him a little bit because number one, his like college profile is
6:52is kind of interesting to that degree where earlier on in his college career, he had pretty solid receiving volume.
6:59And then his final year, his receiving volume actually tanked because his carry volume was like absurd. It was like 370.
7:08And And so, me, like you can There's no scientific right or wrong way to interpret that. Like, to me, like that
7:15combined with like what I saw from his rookie year is like he definitely strikes me as someone who is more in the
7:22accumulator competent realm of receiving versus someone who you want to get designer receiving downfield running back air yards targets to.
7:33So, I am like a little skeptical that he has like this massive receiving talent where the team it feels inclined they got to
7:40feature him in the pass game like you would with Bijan, like you would with Gibbs or CMC. But, could he do the thing
7:47where um the wide receivers are horrible, it's only Brock Bowers, and like kind of by default, uh there's a lot of check-downs. Maybe Kirk Cousins
7:56plays a big stretch of the season, and he's checking down the ball a bunch, uh and and Jentis just like a competent
8:01receiver who accumulates a ton of volume? I think that's possible, but yeah, he like it's it's a bit of like a
8:09a film take, I guess, but I I he just doesn't strike me as like that talented of a of a receiver at the end of the
8:14day. But, curious what you think about that.
8:16>> I think from a downfield target perspective, that's fair. From a from a YAC and big play perspective, tackle breaker, kind of elusive guy out
8:26of the backfield, that kind of weapon, I think you're underrating how high the upside is for him as a receiver. I mean,
8:33as a receiver in that junior in that sophomore season, uh the 2023 season, he had 3.19 yards per route run, which is like elite
8:42stuff by wide receiver uh standards. So, he was he was incredibly efficient.
8:49>> Yeah.
8:49>> as a receiver, and you know, he had an ADoT of minus 0.9. So, he was, you know, primarily getting dump-off type of
8:57stuff, but he was really making the most of that and as he was as a runner, just incredibly hard to bring down,
9:07you know, big play machine, and you know, he has that ability to operate in space that I think he can build on in year two. And And the
9:16reason that I do have a lot of optimism for Jentis, uh and and believe that his ceiling um you know, scenario is quite plausible,
9:26is that we see running backs make those types of leaps in year two. Like those like Le'Veon Bell, you know, for
9:32example, like when he's you're like, "Oh, damn. Okay." Like you I remember I've like still remember watching Le'Veon Bell that first game in his
9:41sophomore season and just being like this is a straight-up different running back than the one I watched last year.
9:47That's the kind of leap that sophomore running backs can take. And I don't want to just be willy-nilly betting on that,
9:53but Jentzi was one of the all-time running back prospects of, you know, the last couple decades. Like he he's a truly special running back prospect. I
10:00think he can make that leap. There's no guarantee that he does. And honestly, coming away from writing it up when I
10:06cuz I finished it when he before he got hurt, it did leave me feeling a little uneasy about him in the in the
10:13first round, especially in the FFPC where it was like you have to take him over CD and CD Lamb and Justin
10:17Jefferson, it did leave me feeling a bit queasy about that. And I was kind of like I don't know. Like he's a player that I
10:23have been targeting in best ball, but you get him later at the 1-2 turn. You don't have to take him ahead of the
10:26receivers.
10:28I'm not I'm not as keen on taking him in in the FFPC, which we hadn't done yet.
10:33So I don't know if I'm going to be targeting him where you have to get him in the main event. And now, of course,
10:38with the price decline, if I can get Jentzi in the in the late second round, I'm doing that. I think I think, you
10:44know, again, the ankle injury is we need a little more information to know for sure if that's a good move, but I
10:51based on what we know now, I'm comfortable taking him in the late second round. I think that's in redraft and and definitely in best ball, but,
10:57you know, in redraft I think the opportunity cost has fallen far enough where I'm I'm pretty into it, actually.
11:02Uh I think the the the floor on him is actually pretty scary, but I I think his upside case is real
11:10and he could, you know, as soon as he's back to 100%, which which hopefully will be some point in December some point in
11:16September, uh excuse me, he uh he has access to a ton of upside as a real focal point. Because to your point, they
11:23don't have any receivers, man. Like it's going to be Bowers and Jentzi. Like those are those that's how you run this
11:27offense, right? And as long as you throw to Jentzi enough as part of that, he could crush.
11:32>> Yeah.
11:33Yeah, I have been >> [clears throat] >> a bit skeptical of him as well. I think it's like a bit of the
11:40silent killer thing with him. Well, where for me it's just been like all season uh you look at the other running backs
11:47that are around him at the one two turn talking best ball and you have James Cook on the Bills top five offense,
11:54Saquon Barkley on the Eagles top 10 offense, Derrick Henry Henry on the Ravens top five offense, Kenneth Walker Chiefs, whatever. So on and so forth.
12:03Like it's just backs that I think have really strong talent cases. Maybe maybe not the extreme case that you can make
12:10with JT from like a talent perspective, but I think very very strong talents in like awesome offenses and with the JT
12:17thing it's just like you're you're likely betting on an offense that's going to be quarterbacked with a rookie quarterback for 12, 10 games this
12:25season.
12:26I also did Yeah, it's for me >> similar to the Achane bet. You know, it's more similar to Now it's not as
12:31dire situation, but you're you're betting on a player and the receiving ability and the explosiveness really kind of making up for some of that
12:39offensive Like James Cook's really explosive, but he's he's also has the benefit of playing with Josh Allen behind a you know, a really good offensive line.
12:46Like I don't I wonder how he would do on on the Raiders or the Dolphins, you know? Like you do have I I think you
12:53you're you're getting that talent with JT and with Achane to help make up for the situation.
12:59Chase Brown is the guy I came away from writing him up being like, well, this isn't easy fade.
13:05Like in the first round you take Chase Brown is is now going ahead of CD Lamb and and Justin Jefferson in FFPC. I I
13:13couldn't I I couldn't do that. Yeah, it's he he is just it's like to get him to the legendary output, it's like, well, he has career
13:23efficiency as a runner and receiver.
13:26Uh they throw to him even more than they did last year when when it was already a pretty big spike. He scores 22
13:32touchdowns like the most by a running back since like 2006. Like he's it's like and and and and you know it just felt
13:40like holy crap. And then he you know he had he he had 16 something points per game last year 16 and a half something like that.
13:51And he was around like an ADP of the 23 turn like the 23.5 something like that.
13:58He had a 14% advance rate.
14:00He was just like not actually a great pick and >> Yeah.
14:04>> I think he could he could pretty easily score fewer points than he did last year even if he scores the same amount as he
14:08did last year which like is not a lock by any means then he he has like just a ton of silent killer
14:16potential in the first round. He's I think he's very much as like you know he's the he's like the 208 going at the 108 kind of thing or the
14:23210 going at the 110 whatever whatever you want to say but it's that that one I felt like cuz Cook scares me as as someone I'm not taking a
14:32ton of. I can totally see how that does not work out for me as a fader. Chase Brown was the one where I was like
14:37obviously guys can have career years and surprise you but it did it did feel a little cleaner as a fade stance for sure.
14:47>> Yeah. I think that makes sense and I think it's it's probably a like best ball even in best ball I don't
14:52have a ton of him but I I am not feeding him.
14:56Um it's just like a couple guys I like a little bit better going near him but I I think it makes more sense in in best
15:01ball that I I think I'm kind of with you in redraft like the talent upside is not there to to justify it. I think you can
15:07build like a pretty well structured team around Chase Brown in best ball where you get him at especially >> Especially in the second.
15:13>> Yeah yeah exactly.
15:15Um but yeah back back to Jente like the H and clump is I think he's just like interesting where I get like the Raiders
15:22situation is better than Miami.
15:26>> There's not a lot of situations they're better than, but it's one.
15:29>> It is for sure better, but also we know Achane is an awesome receiver and we know he is an explosive playmaker.
15:38Achane, we can be confident in that to some degree, but we don't know it like we know with Achane.
15:44Like Achane to me is like locked-in difference-making like he's a running back if he hits open market and I'm a fan of a team I'm actually like happy if
15:52my team like goes out and pays Devon Achane. I think he's a difference-making weapon in an offense. Achane, I'm like I
15:59need to be convinced a little bit more.
16:00Like year one was like This you're right about the Le'Veon I was saying with the Le'Veon Bell thing cuz that that's super interesting.
16:06There's also the the Melvin Gordon year two I remember in year one and everyone was like Melvin Gordon sucks as a
16:12rookie. He was he's so bad. He's going to be terrible forever and then he smashes. Like this this can happen with
16:18running backs, but it can go the other >> McCaffrey was McCaffrey was a second-round pick. I mean he was it's not like people were
16:24out on McCaffrey, but he you know, it wasn't like Bijan where after year one or even frankly Achane where he became,
16:31you know, a first-round pick. He was like at the 203 204 and then absolutely crushed in that sophomore year immediately legendary season, but
16:40>> Yeah.
16:42But the Gordon even the Gordon and Le'Veon Bell thing like that if I'm not mistaken, that's Melvin Gordon playing with Philip Rivers. That's
16:50Le'Veon Bell playing with prime Ben Roethlisberger. Like that's a little bit different.
16:54>> Denver quarterback was that year, but >> Oh, wait. Did he start his career on the Chargers?
16:59>> Oh, you're right. It's the Chargers. I'm sorry. Yeah, it would have been it would have been Rivers. Yeah.
17:02>> Yeah, so I'm just saying like the like big later stage Big Ben and Rivers are like smash situations for running backs
17:09in a way that Fernando Mendoza Kirk Cousins hybrid I don't know, man. It I'm just scared of the situation, um, with Jentee, but it
17:20Yeah, go ahead. You got something else there?
17:21>> Well, I yeah, I think that I totally get what that To me, this is like a price conversation. I think the Jentee ankle
17:26injury, perhaps, might make it like I have a Best Ball Mania team that's that I did uh this is from two nights ago now.
17:35I started Puka um, ahead of Chase whenever the Chase little little scare was. So, I took him at the 103. Puka, Neighbors, Jentee.
17:44And I'm like >> That's you know The you know, those prices >> arguing against that. I'm not arguing against that, yeah.
17:50>> No, I know you're not. And I think you're you're going to be you know, what there's plenty of teams that have first round Jentee and now
17:57those are those are kind of fighting with them one arm tied behind their back potentially for the first month of the
18:01year. But if you're now getting him in the late second, I think you can start to think about, "Okay, what if he doesn't have 23
18:09points per game? What if he has like 21?" Well, Saquon Barkley at like 21 and a half had like a 48% advance rate. Jonathan Taylor
18:17had like a 49% advance rate last year.
18:20He falls to to 21.7 points or whatever he had, um, over the course of the full season. He He did have more front-loaded
18:30production, but you you get down into the late second round and you can you can kind of do like the the sub 23
18:36points per game and still absolutely smash kind of season. And with Jentee, because of Mendoza, I think it could be more back-weighted where as opposed to
18:45having like the Jonathan Taylor crazy advance rate, isn't the guy you need in the playoffs.
18:49It could be the opposite where the advance rate's good, but then Mendoza is what allows him to take that next step
18:57up. Where Mendoza, I think the hope there for me is that he's getting through his reads really quickly. And that's something we have seen him do at
19:04least some of so far. I was listening to Greg Rosenthal talk about how he he was impressed with his ability to get
19:10through his reads. And I think Gentry's going to be pretty high in the re in the progression. Maybe not the first read,
19:16right? But he's going to be like the second read at like a much higher rate than the typical running back. And
19:22that's where I think some of that receiving could really come into play where it's like okay, you know, we're going to we're
19:27taking a deep shot, but if that deep shot's not open, you go to Gentry. Like we we it's like a Trey Tucker deep shot
19:32play with a Gentry check down. Like that's you know what I mean? Like we're we're not going to be asking a ton of
19:37Mendoza other than to just like get through things pretty quickly. And the offense is going to be really, really powered through Bowers and Gentry and
19:45you know, if that takes a little bit a little while to get going, that really hurts you if you have Gentry at like the
19:52110.
19:54It doesn't hurt you if you have him at the 210 so much.
19:58>> Yeah.
20:00Yeah.
20:01Yeah, similar to, you know, when he's once he starts getting priced more like H N, more like Jeremiah Love.
20:07>> Yeah.
20:07>> Um I think it it makes more sense to me.
20:09Um should we talk let's talk about Mike Washington cuz I think I've heard smart people uh on both sides have very different takes on the Mike
20:19Washington uh thing. I think like going to the the facts of the situation, I mean he's been electric in in the
20:27preseason. I think it's something like 15 touches for 130 yards. He's had two long breakaway runs that in my opinion just like watching them on tape. Like
20:37some sometimes you see a breakaway run like the famous uh like Chase Brown rookie year like long run where it was
20:44just like a wide open He didn't have to do anything, right? You just you run and there's nothing there. Mike Washington's
20:48have been like breaking tackles um like hurdling over defenders. Like I think actually making something out of nothing a little bit. I get it's still the
20:56preseason, but on the spectrum of breakaway runs, I think they've been impressive. I think he's like pretty clearly the the running back two now um
21:06based on that performance and >> like it, yeah.
21:09>> Yeah, the stare at the rest of the roster, I mean, and it's, um, you know, guys who've been on Davis Maddox
21:13podcast mostly.
21:15>> [laughter] >> Yeah, so, anyways, I I think you get kind of an interesting like hybrid situation with Mike Washington where he
21:27could add some early season value if things break your way, uh, and and start a couple games, and then I think he's
21:35like a pretty exciting handcuff. In in kind of like even in the worst case scenario where like you think he's very overrated, he's very limited
21:44as a player, that could all be true.
21:46Like, it's kind of like Isaac Guerendo rookie year-ish, right? Where like >> a good That's a good comp, I think.
21:53>> Yeah, like even in a downside scenario, I think it kind of is like that type of player uh who had some big games, uh,
22:00as a rookie. People people kind of forget. So, um, yeah, I'm in on him.
22:04It's His price is like all of I'm trying to get his latest ADP cuz I'm uh, he's at 142 on Underdog right now. Like, I I am uh
22:15still in on him there, but I've seen plenty of drafts where he goes like 110, like stuff like that. So, >> I'm out on that. I've been out on
22:22Washington, you know, before the D'Onta injury. I was pretty pretty out on Washington. His one of his closest comps for me was Kalen Ballage, and I think he
22:31is a similar His college stats are like very similar to Kalen Ballage, and then he's also incredibly athletic like Kalen Ballage
22:39was. Um, and you have a guy who was a really inconsistent runner in college with really poor elusiveness, and actually
22:50pretty poor breakaway numbers, and then was also a two-down runner. Uh, really not like awful awful receiving, but
22:58pretty bad. So, it's like the the hope for Washington um is really the athleticism I would say kind of like Pacheco, you know, where
23:09it's like, well, he is really fast, you know, and that sometimes can be enough.
23:14Like being in a good situation and really fast, you know, and having actually turns out, for whatever reason, your college numbers didn't tell the whole
23:23story. This guy actually more explosive in the pros than he was in college, which kind of makes sense cuz he's really big and really fast.
23:29Uh I I can see that kind of playing out, but for me it was about the situation.
23:33I'm like, well, yeah, he's the two-down backup to Gentry, but the reason I like Gentry is the receiving. So, you know,
23:40I'm not that interested in the Raiders two-down runner.
23:45Of course, I have seen him run, and he looks pretty good. Like that def- it's hard not to be like, oh. So, when Gentry
23:52went down, I did start taking Washington. I was on the I was on the clock in a bunch of slows in like the
23:56140s, the 150s, the 160s, 170s, you know, when Washington's there, I'm like, yes, let me get some Washington. Since then, since the Gentry injury hasn't
24:05been serious, I've kind of stopped taking him again, to be honest. I I I struggle with the the price that's now actually a little
24:12inflated by, you know, people pulling him up trying to thinking they were going to get the Raiders starter.
24:19Um so, yeah, I mean, I think he's locked in. I think he's a a solid handcuff. If he was free now, I would I would take a lot of
24:27them, but he's not, and I'm still pretty skeptical that like in actual NFL games against first-team defenses that he's going to be have that
24:37kind of profile. The college numbers to me just matter a lot, and he's not set up clean. Like this isn't a
24:44Damien Pierce situation, another guy who just like pretty bad college profile, but was set up to to produce right away.
24:53Um Pacheco, similar situation. You know, there are these guys you they just kind of hit the nuts. Woody Marks, pretty bad college profile.
25:03Uh, more of a pass catcher, but still pretty bad profile overall. Gets set up in an awesome situation, delivers on it.
25:08Gurendo, I think is a is a really good comp because it is kind of a handcuff play, but Gurendo was was very, very
25:13cheap that year.
25:15So, I think if you have a bag of a really cheap Mike Washington, you got to feel good about that. Um, if you're
25:20trying to build a Mike Washington position now, it's it comes with some opportunity costs and I think he's just going to be one of those guys where
25:27I'm a little exposed. Like, I wish I had that that cheap Mike Washington uh, out for in my portfolio, but but I
25:34don't and I I'm not going to get it and I can't like make it happen now. So, I don't I don't feel like chasing Mike
25:41Washington into the the 12th round or whatever.
25:44>> Okay.
25:45Got it. Yeah, sounds like I'm I'm a little bit higher, but I'm with you.
25:47Like, where where he is right now is about like the max I'm willing to take him and um, I think it could be a situation
25:54where like his ADP came way up cuz there was people taking him in like the 60s or 70s for a period of time or whatever.
26:01And he could slowly like trickle back down into a more draftable range potentially.
26:07Uh, but but we'll see. Also, yeah, this is like a manager's redraft point. Like, once you get to a certain point, like I
26:13just want shots on guys that have a chance to like start week one, right?
26:18And like Washington still has that out in a way that, I don't know, um, Tank Bigsby or um, Brian Robinson or whoever, right?
26:27Doesn't. So, at a certain point, I think in your in your managed leagues, like draft him if he's not crazy expensive
26:33and then you can cut him, you know, pretty quickly, but um, yeah, different different question.
26:39>> like him as a managed league stash.
26:41That's a good call.
26:42Um, >> Yeah.
26:43>> it's the yeah, he could definitely be a dude where I mean, it's possible like, what if Gentry's just not right? What if Gentry
26:51suffers some kind of setback or whatever, you know, like you're the ability to move off of him and then also like the one thing I do like about
26:59Washington a lot from from a manage league perspective is even if you're basically like, okay, he's not he doesn't have his massive
27:06massive upside cuz he doesn't catch passes, he's on the Raiders, you would know when to start him. If Jentsch's out, you're starting Mike Washington,
27:13you're starting him over like guys that you were drafting in the fifth round.
27:17Like you're starting over Trevion Henderson, you know, like pretty easily if Jentsch's is out, you know, to start the year. So, hopefully not by the end
27:25of the year, but to start the year you'd start Mike Washington over over Henderson, you know, so >> For sure.
27:30>> there's some some real real utility to having a guy that could could do that for you, especially early in the season.
27:36Uh so so I completely agree with you on that point.
27:39>> Yep.
27:41Yep. I don't think it's out of the question that he has a like I guess what I'm trying to say is like I
27:50I think there is maybe a chance that Kubiak obviously Ashton Jentsch's way better than Mike Washington. There's a chance that Kubiak identifies, hey,
27:57there are five runs in the playbook where we actually get the benefit of Mike Washington um over Ashton Jentsch's. They're probably like sweeps uh tosses, right?
28:07Like Keeton Mitchell-esque touches, less so on the receiving game, but more on like the the space running game. Or maybe maybe he has something of a role
28:15like that um which >> see that, too.
28:18>> Yeah, it's at least at least possible after this preseason performance.
28:22Um cool. Any other I guess uh takeaways from preseason you wanted to to hit on?
28:30>> Well, the Stribling hype is just uh >> Yeah.
28:32>> It's wild now. Or here you [laughter] go. Like where he where let's have a Stribling check-in where you and I were
28:38on an island in the beginning. Not totally, there was a few other people milling around, but it was like it was pretty sparsely
28:45populated. Now this thing's like you know, the full moon party, you know, is is begun. [laughter] Like there's there's boats there's boats docked
28:53offshore. Everyone's going nuts.
28:56This is the locals are completely crowded out.
28:59You know what I mean?
29:01>> They're talking about it on CNN. It's like one of the top top Yeah, yeah.
29:06It's getting crazy.
29:07>> Yeah.
29:07>> Yeah.
29:08>> Yeah. Yeah. The kids are here now.
29:11Jacob's out here dribbling. Like what's what's going on?
29:14>> Okay, I I I got to say I I'm disappointed in Jacob. I I needed like the the foil who was just going to like
29:21keep coping about dribbling all season.
29:24Like I I needed Jacob to say like Demarcus Robinson is you know running ahead of dribbling and two other receivers. So I I needed him to go like
29:32full into it and he's skipping it like yeah, which is which is a little bit sad to me, but um you know.
29:39Anyways uh serious answer the question.
29:43I think that he you know, he's one of these guys where like his ADP seems fake to me cuz I'm looking at Underdog right now. It's like
29:53110 ADP. I swear every single draft I'm he's in like the 70 like whatever people take him so early.
30:02Um >> Yeah.
30:03>> I think like around 115 like I still like I definitely like Casey Concepsion for sure better than him.
30:10Um I'm a Matthew Golden guy, so I like Golden better than him. Once you get into like the Wan'Dale Dobbs, Jakobi
30:17Meyers, that's where I'm like, okay.
30:19I I get the upside with dribbling. Um you know, people say like, you know, preseason, you know, you shouldn't react to it at all. I I do think like the
30:28targets per route run stuff in the preseason matters to like just a little bit. I think Kevin Kevin Cole actually did some analysis on on that at one
30:36point of like what preseason stats matter and targets per route run for receivers is one of them. Like the fact that when he's on the field, like he
30:43he's just like beating man coverage and they're just going to him. Like, I do think that like it does matter and we
30:48should move him up. But, yeah, it's like I guess what I'm trying to say is like Concepcion is kind of the line for me
30:54where I will never take him above Concepcion. But, kind of after that, I kind of think it's like fair game, to be
30:59honest.
31:01>> I think from a redraft perspective, I'm I'm with you, but he's he's gotten into the range of best ball where I'm just
31:08like I don't think this is the way. First of all, I have got a pretty big bag of of Stribling on Underdog. Um and on DraftKings less
31:19so, but I have him a good amount in the 555. So, I feel okay, you know, on Stribling. I don't think it's the type of thing where
31:28like, you know, we were we were open to the idea of this happening when he was free, which is which is I'm
31:35glad we were because he's not free anymore. And I think a lot of people with a player like this, and I get it cuz he didn't
31:41have much college production, but they it they needed to be kind of like like prove it to me, you know? And to me
31:48that's like don't prove it to me, just be free.
31:51Prove it later after I get a big bag of you at free at free prices, right? So, I don't think I just I'm not sure we're
32:00learning that much more now. Like, I I I agree that like the targets per route run stuff, you know, it just fits with the larger picture of
32:08he's clearly going to have a role. They clearly view him as a part of the the the team right away.
32:14But, to what extent ultimately? Rookie wide receiver, how big of a role is he really going to have in week one, you know?
32:21Like, if he if he had 60% route participation as a rookie receiver, that wouldn't surprise me even after all this. Like,
32:29guy it's it's it's tough it's really tough for rookie wide receivers to like truly truly hit the ground running even if they're getting the playing time.
32:37Um, and a lot of times we see guys, their routes will start good not great, and then they're playing really efficiently and they ramp up the
32:45routes and they're able to to remain efficient, and then you're like, you know, now we've we've got a star.
32:51I think even if Skribbling is producing like pretty quickly, we're still not seeing huge spike weeks until, you know, week five, six, or whatever. So, I'm
32:58starting to wonder if you know, the I'm feeling like maybe the market's now getting over its skis compared to guys like Concepcion. And I
33:05completely agree. Like this was a a much better prospect. And the dude has had an awesome summer as well. Like they're
33:10really excited about Concepcion. He's he's hit the ground running. He's going to play a bunch. I think he'll probably have you know, it's probably close to
33:18maybe a fewer routes than Skribbling, but I don't think it'll be like a huge difference. And I think his targets per
33:23route run is going to be really high. I think he's going to be like a a big first read guy for them. So,
33:28yeah, this Skribbling stuff for me, I mean, he's he's gotten too expensive in best ball really.
33:33Uh, redraft I think I'm still willing to think more about like, well, what if he's just the truth as part of a Shanahan offense, and just
33:43thinking on that like pure upside, like leaving aside, you know, some of the the full range of outcomes, and just you know, I'm just taking that slice of
33:52what's the the high end stuff look like in this offense.
33:56I think it makes it maybe a little bit more sense to still chase him there, but yeah, I I haven't taken him in best ball
34:01in a little while now.
34:04>> Yeah.
34:05Makes sense.
34:06Um, the other thing I thought uh, was was interesting was the the the MarShawn Lloyd. I I guess more of a smaller
34:16point, but just um, Lloyd clearly was ahead of of Chris Brooks in the Packers preseason game.
34:25So, that was encouraging. I mean, I think that was the base expectation, but you know, Brooks was in there for some
34:30pass protection some third down to be to be expected. But Lloyd was the guy who was designed the red zone touch in the
34:37passing game, you know, everyone's favorite topic this year, running back air yards. It was a downfield target for Lloyd. Um so, I think yeah, that's we'll
34:46wait and see on the Jacobs suspension. I still think we don't know uh for sure the outcome there. Um so, I still think
34:56uh yeah, you know, wherever you have Lloyd, I think he should go up after after week two.
35:00>> of the preseason.
35:01>> Yeah, I I like Lloyd. I've I've liked Lloyd for a while. Um he's one of these guys that we have we
35:07haven't really seen play, but the Packers seem to trust him as their uh their number two guy very clearly, as you're saying, and um you know,
35:17apparently he's he's, you know, good fit for the zone run stuff they want to do, and Jacobs did not look as good last year. I
35:25would not be surprised if if Lloyd is actually good, he could push Jacobs, you know, I don't think that means he's going to
35:32be like a true starter, but I think he could form a committee with Jacobs in a way that would be like pretty bad for
35:39Jacobs even in the as a fourth-round pick. Um much less when he was at the two-three turn, so I I think uh
35:46there is upside for Lloyd beyond pure contingency, and then you have the suspension out uh as well. So, yeah, I agree. He's a pretty good pick. It's
35:54been fun to see him.
35:56I mean, it's the the fact that we got Jonathan Brooks and Marlon Lloyd emerging as guys that their teams trust after all this
36:05is kind of crazy. I like I thought both could dudes were just we were just working out. I mean, like kind of like
36:09Trey Benson, right? It's just like >> Yeah.
36:12>> just doesn't That's that's kind of the the median expectation for the for that type of start to your career is that you
36:18just get you get like cut so they can keep an injured James Conner.
36:22Like okay.
36:23>> Yeah.
36:23>> You know, it's pretty rough.
36:25>> I know.
36:27You got to feel bad for Trey Benson cuz you I thought he was like looking pretty good to start his second year too after
36:33a disappointing rookie year.
36:35Uh but I I guess you can it gives a guy like that hope uh that that Lloyd and Brooks have been able to turn it around.
36:42Um but yeah, that's that was a bummer to see. Uh people in the chat are asking about the the Boutte trade. I think
36:49>> just note I jumped in a a DraftKings BBM draft if people want to jump in. There's only one more spot
36:55left, but if anyone wants to to join us there.
36:58Uh that'll be kicking off in a second.
36:59But yeah, let's talk Boutte.
37:01>> Yeah.
37:03Boutte, so for me I think uh he slots in as the the most likely wide receiver two in two wide receiver sets in Houston. I do
37:13think it's going to be a rotation um with Xavier Hutchinson still getting some some reps there particularly to start the season. I think just
37:22incumbency might might lead to Hutchinson being trusted. I do think over time Boutte is the better talent. I think he's a guy who's proven his
37:30ability to win on sort of splash downfield plays.
37:34Uh I think that could fit pretty well with C.J. Stroud's skill set. Uh so for me I I think like I am fine with Boutte
37:43you know, on the later side, the 160, 170 or so on Stroud teams. Um I'm pretty much out on everyone everyone else,
37:54Noel Hutchinson Dell.
37:56>> I mean yeah, me too at this point. I think I'm not sure what happened with Dell, but it seems like maybe a a setback or
38:02some kind of you know, him not dealing with the ramp up well, but but you know, we've just stopped hearing about Dell and they
38:10trade for Boutte.
38:11Uh I'm not taking Dell anymore. We'll see We'll see what happens, but doesn't look like I mean it seems like at this point
38:19I'm thinking anything we get from Dell is is basically a bonus this year.
38:23Um the Boobie trade makes, you know, like you would you would think, hey, he's potentially next man up. Clearly not. So, you know, and that's obviously
38:32related to his health.
38:34Uh so, yeah. So, Boobie I think is decent enough pick. We've actually taken a good amount of Boobie since the trade.
38:39Um Yeah. I do expect that he'll be a starter on the outside in a in an offense that has some potential to be
38:46better than last year. You know, they they could really regress positively.
38:50Of course, it could be kind of a crappy offense like it was last year, but I think there's upside for them to be a
38:55lot more competent and um you know, Boobie is a solid player. Like he he's a very limited player in that like he
39:03doesn't really get separation. He requires you to kind of drop it in the bucket, but if you do, >> [laughter] >> and he's down there, you know, he got
39:11down there where the where the ball can be dropped into a bucket. Uh I assume you're good with Bijan here.
39:16>> Mhm. Yeah. Yeah, he's kind of like a uh you know, Walmart brand Alec Pierce or something like that.
39:24Uh he's a splash play player except he's not he doesn't do it >> career George Pickens.
39:31>> Yeah, like he doesn't even do it on athleticism. He just does it on like dunking on on smaller corners.
39:37Um But yeah, I think I don't know. As a Patriots fan, I was kind of this is like not a fantasy conversation, but I was
39:43pretty disappointed to see him go for pennies. Like it seems like if there is a Dobbs or AJ Brown injury, we're just
39:51going to be like, why don't we have Kayshon Boutte on the roster instead of a seventh-round pick and a backup safety? I think they were trying to do
39:59right by him, which I respect to some degree. Like I think it was a situation where he didn't deserve necessarily what
40:05happened to him. Like he he played well um stepping up into a bigger role for them and maybe it was like they want to,
40:11you know, not have a malcontent in the locker room who kind of lost his job undeservedly to some degree. Maybe that's like kind of what happened, but
40:19it seemed like unnecessarily forking over depth as a Patriots fan, so Uh we'll see.
40:25>> Did you get a player back? They got a safety. I'm not frankly sure how much he's going to >> Janarian Price sixth overall. That just
40:32happened.
40:32>> Woah.
40:34Okay.
40:35>> [laughter] >> Okay. Um >> Here we go.
40:38>> about Price, but I I didn't >> It's August 26th.
40:41>> [laughter] >> Let's go.
40:45>> I mean, you got to take Price over C- Why would you take 35-year-old Christian McCaffrey over a first-round rookie? Um
40:52you know, you just >> that this the username here is Peekaboo.
40:57>> [laughter] >> Peekaboo.
41:00That would not surprise, you know?
41:02>> Yeah.
41:02>> [laughter] >> No, it's a fits the username. It's a It's a good pick.
41:06>> It's a good pick.
41:08>> [laughter] >> All right. Well, we we're going to have at least one player fall a pick past.
41:13Plus, Peekaboo picks again.
41:15>> Before we pick.
41:16>> Peekaboo picks again.
41:17You know what they're probably going for here? I I tweeted this out. It's the Janarian Price Jeremiah Love correlation. And you got to lock that up
41:26in the You know, if if >> Oh. Well, yeah. Most people take Love first but >> [laughter] >> Yeah, that's where they get it wrong.
41:32Never heard of flip- flipping the board?
41:34It's uh you want to get you want to get unique in the first couple rounds, so >> is front to front to back back to front
41:41drafting. [laughter] It's the Eagles that line, but you just actually draft the players >> It's a mistake that they Yeah, yeah. I
41:47mean, if you want to lock them up, it just makes it makes sense.
41:50>> sense. I mean, if you want to make sure you get Janarian Price, then I get it, you know?
41:56>> Yeah.
41:56>> Dude, that's that's wild.
41:58>> That's crazy.
41:59>> Uh But yeah, I think Booty Booty's like He's a solid player. I think he's you know, he's very much an outside wide
42:06receiver. That's clearly what they need now with with Higgins out. Like he's better than Xavier Hutchinson, for sure.
42:14Um and yeah, so I like start starting outside wide receiver should be drafted, you know, so we I've been taking a good amount of
42:23them in in the final rounds.
42:26>> Yep.
42:27I agree.
42:28Someone said you just entered the new dynasty basketball tournament.
42:32Um >> Even then even then it'd be a bad pick.
42:35>> [laughter] >> Yeah, even then it's still a really bad It's like you you're if you're in a dynasty NFC West only league, I think you go to
42:43the 105 maybe. You got a slight value on him.
42:46>> I mean again, Jeremiah Love should go first in that league.
42:48>> [laughter] >> Yeah. Yeah, now Puka, Jeremiah Love, JSN, uh Stribling, you got to take Stribling over him for sure.
42:59>> Yeah, I mean >> Yeah.
43:01>> [laughter] >> By the way, a guy in a I was so bummed to miss this. I I couldn't make our
43:07rookie draft this year. I just like sending a list of the players I want I don't I didn't have a first round pick
43:11that year. Uh you know, and I won the league. So I was I was picking late in the second round. So
43:16>> Yeah, yeah, it doesn't matter.
43:18>> Yeah, so but apparently one of the guys was like he he doesn't really follow football that well. He's he's done surprisingly
43:25well in the league, but he doesn't follow football that well and he was using chat GPT to ask him who to take
43:32and it was telling him [laughter] to take It told him to take Jayden Higgins.
43:37>> Oh, no.
43:39devastating >> [laughter] >> And then it told him to It told him to take Calvin N'Gandu.
43:45>> [laughter] >> And it told him to take some random dude with no one knew his name and he's like he's like he doesn't he's not
43:52even like on a practice squad anywhere.
43:54He like was UDFA who's now like not in the league anymore.
43:58>> Just like a pure hallucination.
44:01>> Yeah, like we would give you this guy cuz that would be awesome for us, but he's not eligible.
44:05>> [laughter] >> We can't even Yeah, we can't find him in the player pool.
44:08>> And then he started yelling at Chat GPT.
44:10He was like, "You're embarrassing me."
44:12>> [laughter] >> So then he was like, "I need a player who wasn't drafted last year." So then it gave him a guy like some other random
44:20dude, no one knew who he was. He looked him up. He's like on Illinois. He didn't declare for the draft yet.
44:25>> [laughter] >> It's better to be a year early than a year late. That's what That's what I would say.
44:32Rasheed Shaheed in the second round, by the way, for the draft.
44:35>> Oh my god. All right, well, we'll see.
44:38>> This is actually annoying. He's just like sniping all my targets, but like eight rounds too early.
44:43>> [laughter] >> This This is kind of pissing me off.
44:47>> We got Neighbors here.
44:49>> Yeah, yeah, let's see if I can I can take him.
44:51>> contact.
44:53>> Yeah, I can take Nico Collins with my own money.
44:56Which I'm doing plenty of. Uh but yeah, Neighbors I >> Gente's Gente's not uh popping here, which is interesting. He He went at the
45:03two two 12 here.
45:05Uh here's Nico Collins if you want him.
45:06>> Nico, let's go.
45:08Yeah, I love Nico.
45:11This uh 2 3 turn has like gotten really fun for me because the Neighbors Neighbors saying him hanging around here is great. I I think Olave and Nico both
45:21saw big boost to their upside case with injuries. Jeremiah Love, like if all those guys are gone, I'm I'm bringing up
45:29Jeremiah Love. I think he's he's pretty undervalued now, so it's uh these these one 101 102 teams, I think,
45:40are looking are looking pretty stacked these days.
45:43>> I love the 101 and 102. I Every time I don't get the 101, I'm always a little disappointed. If I get the 102, then I'm
45:49like, "Okay, that's fine."
45:51If I If I don't If I get like the 107, I'm like, "What's even the point?"
45:56>> Yeah.
45:57>> [laughter] >> This is just like getting pissy now.
46:00It's It's so late. I've done so many drafts. I'm mostly entering drafts with a hope I'll get the 101 now. So, yeah,
46:06I'm fully with you. It's not just about Gibbs, which is like I'm writing up his scenario. I I had Gibbs for 23
46:12touchdowns because he scored 20 touchdowns. So, I was like, this is not unrealistic. But, 23 touchdowns is so many. It's like uh last time someone
46:23scored more than 21 was literally LaDainian Tomlinson. So, I was like, this is probably unnecessary to put him here. Like, I don't want to lose anyone
46:33with 23. So, I just I brought it down to 21. I was like, he he cruises to 27 points per game. Like, I'm like I'm
46:41reducing upside on his stuff to make it like more like plausible. And he's he's hitting like 20 Like, if you wanted to
46:48to outline how Gibbs gets to like 29 29 and a half points per game, like like peak McCaffrey type stuff, it's really not that hard. [laughter]
46:58It's It's really really wild.
47:00>> Yeah.
47:01>> you know, you're the you're the guy I should let you take the floor here cuz you've been advocating that people
47:05should take more Gibbs.
47:07>> I've been saying I Not a lot of fantasy analysts Like, I've seen a lot of exposure screenshots. No one's advocating to get overweight on Gibbs,
47:14which I think is interesting. You're saying he's the best player in the league and >> [laughter] >> and no one >> I am.
47:18>> And okay. Well, um what's your exposure?
47:21Are you I mean, >> I I'm underweight. I'm underweight.
47:23>> Okay. Well, it's a little bit like Derrick Henry situation. I I do have to say. Uh you're you're touting [laughter]
47:29You're touting a guy who you're underweight on.
47:32>> stout.
47:36>> It's so funny. I I sent that >> tell you how much I would [laughter] like to be non-disingenuous stout.
47:44I would love to be overweight. When I saw the 14% Gibbs, I was I was livid. I was livid.
47:50>> You would think that like, you know, with what whatever I'm doing on on Twitter these days, like the universe should not like reward me for that, but
47:57I I sent that tweet and then immediately did two more drafts and I got two more 101s. And now I'm up to 16%.
48:05>> Wow. Oh my god dude.
48:07>> Bijan Gibbs. [laughter] >> I can't believe that. I'm I'm I'm literally like I'm seething.
48:13>> [laughter] >> Like I'm trying to be cool right now, but my body's like >> [laughter] >> All I want is more Gibbs.
48:21>> Dude.
48:21It's yeah.
48:23I mean, you can just take him. That's what I'm doing. You just yeah. I was actually I think it's mostly a joke, but
48:28there was that people forget there was that stretch in like March, April, maybe even part of May where Bijan was above
48:37Gibbs and I I know it's like arguing 101 versus 102 is like very much like 2008 fantasy football arguments, but I was
48:44just like I'm taking Gibbs every time.
48:46There's no reason Bijan should be going >> Yeah, you're right.
48:49>> ahead of Gibbs in in my opinion. So, that did help me, I think, on the margins.
48:53>> So, I think I'm starting to think that this draft is going to get thrown out.
48:57Draft King's bar is higher.
48:59>> Well, this No, this guy's just using the ETR rankings with Cooper Kupp at the 407. I I mean >> [laughter]
49:10>> Okay. All right. I didn't know they had him that high.
49:12>> No, they had No, well, Deion came back for his from his sabbatical and >> We have a Ebuka following here. Uh
49:19somehow we're getting followers in this draft weirdly enough. He jumps up Jacobs jumps up McMillan.
49:25Uh What do you want to do in this draft that's definitely going to not get thrown out?
49:29>> Yeah.
49:30Um I mean, I I rarely take Ebuka. Oh, we're on the clock. Let's take Ebuka. This is a big enough fall that
49:36>> Yeah.
49:37>> Uh let's scoop the value there. Um I actually like I like Swift a lot.
49:43Um If you're okay with him on the next turn. I also like I like T-Mac, too, or he just went.
49:49Um >> I think we should take Jacobs if he's available with the 502.
49:54That seems like it'll not be particularly common.
50:00That quote that got aggregated about him getting suspended was uh not correct.
50:08>> He was the I'm going to I'm going to get >> was basically like, "We have we have contingencies in place." was
50:14more or less what he said.
50:15>> Yeah.
50:16>> Where yeah, it wouldn't we wouldn't be caught off guard if he does get suspended.
50:20Um yeah, but you know what, Sam? I'm not sure Is this Is this going to matter?
50:26>> Does this draft matter? Yeah, that's why I kind of like I don't want to take it but I was like I don't think it's worth
50:30arguing. It doesn't doesn't matter.
50:32>> want to jump in another one?
50:34>> Sure. Yeah, yeah. Should we >> time? Yeah. I I just think this is this is just >> Yeah, let's try let's jump on another.
50:42It's a good start for a team.
50:43>> It's a good start. More people should have starts like this.
50:47>> [laughter] >> It's a little easier, you know, when someone uh when Peekaboo's in the room.
50:52I'm going to check and make sure Peekaboo's not in this new room cuz if so >> Do they Does Draft Kings throw out What's What's
51:00the rule?
51:00>> They don't throw out I I have seen Uh I don't know what we got. I think the one We got the 111 now.
51:06>> Oh, A.J. Barner in the fifth.
51:08>> [laughter] >> The idea of doing like a Seahawks only team but getting sniped on JSN is like so funny to me. It's
51:16like like there's there's going to be a better version of of the >> team in the final of Draft Kings in the
51:24playoff format. Like that I had this exact team.
51:28>> [laughter] >> Oh, man.
51:32Man, that's tough.
51:34>> Yeah.
51:37All right. Well, I'll I'll I'm sick enough to keep I'm just going to keep drafting that one.
51:42Um if that doesn't get thrown out >> You never know.
51:45>> Um you know, we'll we'll see.
51:48But, uh, we'll share this one instead.
51:51>> Yeah.
51:51>> can actually sweat a real team.
51:54>> [snorts] >> Thanks a lot, Peekaboo.
51:57>> Peekaboo.
51:59>> Unbelievable.
52:02Maybe they just got Yeah, dude, I that that's possible. They just melted down.
52:08>> It's It's not a bad strategy. If you don't get the I mean, I think I did that when I was
52:13like in in a league when I was like 11 years old. Like a trade a trade happened that I didn't like in my league and I just
52:20like dropped everybody on my team. It's It's kind of an effective strategy.
52:25Um >> [laughter] >> I don't know for what, but >> kicked out?
52:29>> Uh, no, but it was close. It was close to that. There's it caused a huge You know what it was? This was like This
52:37was like I forget who who was this running back? It was over the most insignificant trade of all time, but someone in my league draft I
52:46think it was Isaiah Crowell. Um >> Oh, yeah.
52:49>> Someone in It was a year that he was supposed to be good, which obviously didn't work out. But, someone in in my
52:56league, we did an auction draft and someone spent like $25 on him.
53:02And then the same day of the draft traded him for a player who went for $1 because he This guy was like obsessed
53:11with handcuffs and someone sniped his handcuffs, so he traded a player he spent $25 on for a $1 handcuff to to secure his running back,
53:20too.
53:21And I said, "Fuck this. I'm I'm dropping all the players on my team." Um, over Isaiah Crowell, which, uh, turned out not to be turned out to not
53:32be the the most impactful trade. I probably could have let that one slide.
53:36Um >> [laughter] >> Isaiah Crowell?
53:43>> Yeah, I was like the competitive integrity of the league is ruined.
53:47Isaiah Crowell got traded for too cheap.
53:51>> [laughter] >> I love the idea of panicking before your guy even gets hurt. Like it's one thing to like [laughter] be
53:57like "Well I >> Yeah, yeah.
53:59>> [snorts] >> You know, I I was so good at identifying this player's situation as being the nuts that like now that he's hurt, I'll trade
54:06away just a better player for that guy's handcuff." That'd be one thing.
54:10>> Yeah.
54:10>> Trading for the handcuff just for the safety blanket makes no sense.
54:16>> I I I understand the frustration.
54:17Dropping your full team over Isaiah Crowell, you may have overreacted.
54:21>> I might have overreacted. There's a chance I overreacted. I'm willing to admit I'm willing to admit that looking back on it.
54:28Um the league still existed today though, so going strong. I think that brought us closer, you know, that that experience.
54:36>> Sam, you will never believe who Peekaboo drafted in round six.
54:41>> Um No, wait. Let me guess.
54:45Elijah Royal?
54:46>> Nope.
54:48I I like I truly don't think you'll believe it.
54:50>> Oh.
54:52Um >> It is not a Seahawk.
54:54>> Oh, it's not a Seahawk.
54:56>> Yeah.
54:57>> DK Metcalf?
54:59>> Marvin Harrison >> Oh.
55:01Okay. Well, >> Harrison.
55:04>> That's Yeah, [laughter] that's that's that's tough.
55:07>> Justin Jefferson here?
55:08>> Yeah, see Jefferson.
55:10>> Let's do it.
55:13I took Tyler Warren in the in the other in the other draft.
55:19>> Okay. Yeah.
55:20>> And then Ramondre Stevenson, how do you feel about that?
55:23>> Yep.
55:25>> All right.
55:26That's LeGarrette Blount Stevenson.
55:27Yeah.
55:27>> That's LeGarrette Blount these days.
55:30>> All right. So, this team doesn't get thrown out. It's actually pretty damn good.
55:34>> I still have Let's be clear. I still have a share in this.
55:37>> Yeah, yeah, yeah.
55:38>> Okay. All right, I just I just wanted it on the record.
55:41Um >> Yeah.
55:43>> I'll Venmo you the $12.
55:44>> It's a double draft.
55:46>> No, no.
55:47>> [laughter] >> It's a free It's a guest free roll.
55:52That's That's how we roll here. Um Saquon Barkley, I'm pretty into at the 202.
55:58>> Yeah, yeah. Let's do Saquon.
56:00Especially with the I don't I know the Walker thing is like very likely to be nothing but it's a tiebreaker.
56:07>> Yeah, I'm with you.
56:11Uh while this draft's going, I'll I'll share this one again.
56:17So Peekaboo has become a normal drafter after taking >> Okay.
56:23>> five straight Seahawks.
56:25Peekaboo's doing normal stuff.
56:27So, uh we're back on the rails maybe.
56:30>> It might That might be enough to If they just like go by ADP the rest of the way, I don't think that this would get
56:36Actually, I I'm I'm speculating. I've no idea, but it's not like they're taking like all the five players they took are
56:43like going to score points this season.
56:45They're um >> It's a unique combo in a big final.
56:50>> It's unique, yes.
56:51>> It's over 1,000 seats in this final, so you know.
56:56>> Maybe they have a sim that um you know, they they're they're using their own inputs and they put in JSN
57:03Terrace and ACL.
57:05>> ACL. Yeah.
57:06>> Do you think this is my buddy asking ChatGPT what to take?
57:08>> [laughter] >> Yeah.
57:12I mean, if you put in inputs JSN Terrace and ACL, it's not the worst team of all time.
57:18It's up there.
57:20>> [laughter] >> It's still up there, man.
57:24Well yeah so this team's looking pretty sweet uh for us. And then let's go back here, see what's going on.
57:32Oh, Josh Allen just went in the second round of this draft.
57:35Uh Gente goes at the 208.
57:40Uh nothing too crazy here. Oh, Pickens went at the 201, Etienne at the 112.
57:45This this This draft is not I mean it's not completely bizarre, but it is not uh you know, I would say like strictly normal either.
57:54>> Yeah.
57:55I mean Draft Kings is just kind of I do kind of think that like an Underdog the users like just stick to ADP so much to the
58:06point where like you don't even feel like I don't you don't even get like one round fallers like these days in
58:11Underdog much at all. Um except later rounds you do, but like uh people stick to ADP so much these days.
58:20>> They really do.
58:21I I wonder how much of it is like the kind of the snake eating its own tail thing of like, you know, like ADP value
58:26is important, but then everyone knows that, so that we're all kind of we're not doing what ADP is supposed to do. Like if there's one guy who like
58:35knows, I'm just going to take ADP value in this and everyone else is like I'm trying to make the most efficient market
58:39possible.
58:40>> Yeah, yeah.
58:41>> Then that guy's benefiting more, but if everyone's like I'm going to scoop the ADP value, you're not making the ADP as efficient
58:46as it should be ultimately.
58:48So >> Yeah, it's like um it's somewhat similar to like the herding effect and and polling. I don't know if you're familiar with that, but
58:57yeah.
58:58>> Similar idea. But I mean I think you see it in like Jordan Tyson is still like in the 90s in
59:04Underdog.
59:05Uh it seems kind of crazy to me.
59:09>> Seems high, yeah.
59:10>> Like I think it just takes guys so long to fall cuz people are like, oh, scoop the value.
59:15>> Right.
59:18>> Etienne Etienne goes early. I guess that's not that crazy for Etienne uh with the the Kamara news, but still a bit early.
59:27>> Yeah, Etienne in the fourth has been like a decent part of what I've been doing and I'm >> Yeah.
59:32>> about that.
59:33>> I love and I love I love love.
59:36>> [laughter] >> I love love.
59:41>> You sound like a dude at a wedding.
59:43>> [laughter] >> Practicing my yeah, my speech.
59:47>> Uh you want to get >> Yeah, I'd go love. I'd go love.
59:51>> Okay.
59:51>> I'm guessing part of what the sim is telling us is like, "Hey, you're going to get you know, Breese coming around." But
59:57>> Yeah.
59:58>> I don't I'd still go Jerry my love, but >> Let's do it.
60:01>> Yeah.
60:02>> I was going to say McConkey's more likely to come back, but um you do have this guy that one-two turn kind of doing
60:08his own thing. So >> Yeah.
60:10>> So who knows? But yeah, McConkey, T Wilson McMillan What do you What do you like the next pick?
60:21>> Um >> You go Swift. See, so he's kind of doing his own thing.
60:25>> Yeah. I think we're going to get Ladd.
60:28>> Yeah, let's let's get Ladd. That's That's exciting.
60:30>> Awesome.
60:31>> All right. Now let's get back over the other draft because we're on the clock here.
60:37>> Ooh.
60:38>> This is it. It's a wild ride. Patrick Mahomes popping up in the eighth round, top of the top of the sidekick. Josh
60:44Downs is here. Trevor Lawrence is here.
60:47We could try to push the quarterback around because they have Drake May. So we could try to get an eighth round
60:51Downs, which I'd be good >> Yeah. Yeah, let's do Downs. He's a pretty He's fallen quite a bit here, right? Um
60:56>> Yeah, he's about 10 picks past.
60:59>> Oh, and we had Warren on the team, too.
61:00Sorry, I'm getting disoriented with with who we have, but that makes sense. I think stacking them up is kind of fun,
61:05actually.
61:07Uh do we have any stacks at quarterback?
61:10That makes sense here? I guess not really unless >> Not really.
61:12>> Yeah. Uh So we could go I would go Lawrence or Mahomes here.
61:21Um >> I'd be Mahomes, you can back stack him.
61:26>> Okay.
61:27>> They're picture it up.
61:28>> Sure.
61:30Yeah, I think I don't I wouldn't want to completely I think passing a quarterback there could be bad cuz we would keep get probably pretty wiped
61:37out. So.
61:38>> And Peekaboo took Blake Corm. So Peekaboo's still >> Okay.
61:41>> Peekaboo has not relapsed. So we still might be good on this one.
61:45Uh all right, let's head back to the other draft. This is a wild one, man.
61:50This is a wild stream.
61:51Uh okay.
61:53So here we are.
61:55>> Nice.
61:56>> Anything DJ Moore with the next pick, then Colson Loveland.
62:01Uh nothing too crazy than that, but yeah, this is a >> What What do you What do you think >> Living the life out here, you know?
62:09>> Yeah. Now, I I appreciate that. Um >> [snorts] >> Yeah, it It's like I don't know.
62:20What What What is it? What What is it that makes Draft? Is it more because more people on DraftKings enter Best Ball like not
62:28really knowing what it is or they're more casual? Like What is it that makes Is it just cuz the Underdog Draft is like just way too like
62:38plugged in on like Twitter and YouTube and streaming? Is that the difference?
62:43I'm trying to figure out like why it's so different.
62:46>> I think there's more humans on DraftKings. That's I I think part of it.
62:51>> Yeah. Less of a bubble.
62:53>> less of a bubble.
62:55>> Yeah.
62:55>> I think if it's just like less of a bubble, I think you have more kind of people coming in.
63:01They do their They do their Best Ball teams. They're kind of getting ready for, you know, DFS and everything. And it's just like not as much of you know,
63:10that particular you know, more people on Underdog have seen Best Ball Bros.
63:17You know what I mean? Like that that universe. That's that's my theory. Um But yeah, I don't know. I mean it cuz it
63:23is I think also the draft I think honestly the ADP algorithm has like a a decent uh influence as well because
63:32guys are it's it's easier for players to fall because the like literally it's it's looking at like a more recent snapshot of where players have gone.
63:40It's like Underdog ADP.
63:42>> Real time versus like daily refresh or something like that.
63:45>> I I forget exactly the difference between the algos as far as how many days factor into it, but it's but there is
63:52uh it's it's just a shorter time window that DraftKings covers so you can have so guys literally rise and fall quicker.
63:59>> Yeah.
63:59>> With with fewer fewer days.
64:04>> I I feel like there's some This is something I'm I'm never going to do myself, but I think there's some
64:09interesting analysis to be done of like historically what has like DraftKings ADP been more accurate on versus what has Underdog been more
64:19accurate on.
64:21>> Um here I would probably go Rome if you're I >> I'm down.
64:27>> Yeah. Um All these guys are just all picks at the top there. But yeah, I like I I feel like there's something where like
64:35the rookies like are certainly better values on Underdog.
64:41But I feel like sometimes they like get out of control in some ways, but I don't I don't know. I don't know how you would
64:49do it, but I think there's like maybe certain archetypes of players that are like more accurately priced by different sites if you did some research on it.
64:57Could be interesting.
65:00>> Yeah, I think that's probably true.
65:02Uh so Henderson and Evans go at the turn here. Watson's at the top of the sidekick, which I think is what I would
65:07prefer. I I Yeah.
65:10Yeah.
65:11I'd say Warren would fine, too, but um taking a little less Tate, just Cam Akers.
65:19I'm worried about him.
65:20>> I'm worried, yeah. I'm worried about worried about Ward.
65:25I uh Yeah, I think I think Tate like it's kind of funny cuz he got picked super high, which is obviously good as an input, like draft
65:36capital matters, firm believer in that, but like it was close to the close to the worst situation.
65:43>> Peekaboo.
65:43>> Oh, no, back.
65:45No, come on.
65:46>> You relapsed.
65:48Peekaboo relapsed after after solid four-pick run, Harrison, Pollard, Korem, Purdy. And then George Iloka on a Judarian Price team.
65:58In the 10th. If Listen, if you're taking Judarian Price in the first round, you don't need George Iloka, right? Like he's he's not George Iloka is not
66:07factoring in. You do not want to handcuff first-round Judarian Price.
66:11>> [laughter] >> I really don't think that's that's the way you win.
66:15Best Ball Millionaire, you know.
66:17>> [snorts] >> Yeah, what kind of what the custom ranks that this person who's using are are wild. Um >> [laughter]
66:25>> Now, I'm not I'm not familiar. Does Does ZTR have George Iloka this year? And is it >> [laughter] >> Uh I meant to Xavier Worthy here is for
66:34the stack if if you're good with that.
66:36In this draft it doesn't matter.
66:38>> Yeah, exactly. Definitely going to matter. What are we even at?
66:41Structurally at 1 3 5 K? We're we're pretty balanced.
66:45Uh >> I mean, the team is we're cooking, you know, there's no way to say we're not cooking, but uh also
66:51I I would like to like just get the feeling from from other people in this draft, like where their heads at,
66:57you know.
66:58Uh Jake Ferguson, Dalton Kincaid, Aaron Jones, Travis Kelce at the top of the kick here. Uh Mhm. What do you What do
67:04you like?
67:05>> Kincaid seems seems good Pretty another huge ADP value.
67:10>> Yeah, big time.
67:12>> Yeah.
67:12>> Let's do that.
67:15All right.
67:17Hopefully Peekaboo doesn't doesn't go crazy while we're gone.
67:22>> No. That's going to be a uh Yeah, well, the next Yeah, it's Zach Charbonnet. I'm unfortunately I mean, the fact that they have they put in
67:30their custom rankings to rank Holani above Charbonnet is >> Well, honestly, and so as bearish as it is that they took Harrison, Pollard,
67:39Korman, Purdy, who are now done. Like all of those I'm fading all of those guys going >> [laughter] >> But like
67:47this team having Holani over Charbonnet, I think it's actually bullish for Holani, you know?
67:54>> Mhm.
67:54>> Like like this person's dialed in on the Seahawks at a minimum.
67:58>> Yeah, that's who I actually do trust this guy's Seahawks opinion. I mean, >> Yeah.
68:02>> I you know, people have said that you should Yeah, have very limited >> Oh.
68:07>> um player pools that you're willing to take, you know, don't don't >> um >> [snorts and sighs] >> I saw you you you scored a touchdown in
68:20practice THE OTHER DAY.
68:22>> [laughter] >> YOU'RE DEFENDING THE PICK.
68:27>> I think you're I mean, Terrence If Terrence Ferguson uh you know, I don't even know what I'm trying to say. I can't
68:37>> [laughter] >> do it. I can't do it.
68:38>> Did you see the um uh uh who was it?
68:44John over at RotoWire had a good he had the good um human resources meme with uh with Terrence Ferguson and Alundra Gadson.
68:53>> Mhm. I saw I saw that one. Yeah.
68:56Make that one with Elijah Royal. I mean, their their rookie year stats, Terrence Ferguson and Elijah Royal Royal, probably the same thing, basically.
69:04>> [laughter] >> Well, when you factor in the preseason touchdown, I think they're they're about even.
69:09>> Yeah.
69:09>> Seahawks onslaught.
69:12>> Um >> Yeah.
69:14>> Little little tough bummer. Little tough scenes.
69:16>> Yeah.
69:17>> Bummer.
69:20>> I I will say like it's tough for me not to I'm going to still draft first that team, you know, like that's
69:25>> Yeah, it's it's it's He's done just enough to like give us just a little, you know, hope that it's not going to
69:33get thrown out. That's >> Once you win BBM, like you start to think about very unlikely things as being possible, you know, like that
69:39draft not getting thrown out.
69:41>> [clears throat and laughter] >> Yeah, that's true.
69:43You start to see the world start to see the the point 0.001% outcomes a little bit differently >> [laughter] >> than other people.
69:51>> Yeah.
69:54>> Uh maybe he's colluding with someone else in the draft to get him the super team.
69:58Okay.
69:59>> Trying to remain under the radar. I don't know.
70:01>> It's not very under the radar.
70:03It's not very under the radar, yeah. It's it's >> It's extremely over the radar.
70:10>> Yeah.
70:11>> It's fully on the radar.
70:14>> Yeah.
70:14>> You can't be over the radar, you're just on the radar. You're not There's no way to go above. I guess if you were above
70:20the radar in a sense, you'd sort of be under the radar in that you wouldn't be on the radar.
70:25>> You would be >> the radar would be bullish. Above the radar uh bullish.
70:30>> Yeah.
70:31>> In a sense.
70:32>> In this situation.
70:33>> Yeah.
70:35So here we are, one pick away from something I think would be pretty pretty awesome. And this guy has Lamar.
70:41So we'll see how that goes.
70:43>> Yeah.
70:43>> Yeah, I think Hurts, man.
70:45>> Yeah. What do you say? To Hurts.
70:48>> Yeah.
70:49Boom.
70:52>> Sweet.
70:53>> This draft is actually pretty cool, too.
70:55>> Yeah, there's no one taking like um backup tight ends anywhere that I can identify.
71:01>> I don't see any I only see a couple Seahawks so far.
71:04>> Yeah, I got Rashid Shaheed.
71:07Still on the still on the board.
71:10Um okay, so we're going to Yeah, what are your thoughts on Pollard? He's he's a guy that I've been like >> I'm getting nervous on Pollard, but
71:17>> Yeah, yeah.
71:22He's still probably him or Dowdle, I think would be my pick here.
71:27Um To be honest, I'm like >> guy.
71:30>> Yeah.
71:32Let's go Dowdle. I feel like we've taken Pollard like so so much on our team. So let's let's mix it up a little.
71:38>> We do have a good Pollard, I think.
71:40>> Part of it honestly for me is that Oh, I see your down to Is that Is that your exposure 7%? Um
71:46>> On Pollard? Yeah.
71:49>> Okay, got it.
71:50Yeah. So I got up to like >> Cuz I take I started taking Brooks over him. There's like a >> Oh, okay. Yeah.
71:57>> That's part of it.
71:58>> Yeah, see that's not That's not something I'll do.
72:00I'll do. What do you do?
72:03>> I don't even know who this is.
72:05M. Foster Jr.
72:10>> That's a Chat GPT actually told me to to draft him.
72:14>> [laughter] >> He's still in college, but >> This might be Key.
72:21>> [gasps and laughter] >> Uh there's a basketball player named Michael Foster Jr. who's on the um 76ers.
72:32>> I don't know.
72:33All right, I'm just going to take Baker.
72:35>> It Yeah whatever.
72:37>> Yeah.
72:40M. Foster Jr.
72:42Who is that?
72:44Chat, do you know who this is?
72:45>> It takes It takes a lot to get to a a that neither of us have heard of, to be honest.
72:52>> It It does. All right, Keaton Mitchell.
72:54People say I don't draft Keaton Mitchell. I As long as the draft doesn't count, I'm down to take him.
72:59>> I only take Keaton Mitchell when M.
73:01Foster Jr. is is off the >> [laughter] >> That's why That's why I don't get a lot of Keaton because I'm always taking M.
73:08Foster Jr. ahead of him.
73:10But, once he's gone, I think >> I think when M. Foster Jr. is off the board, it's a good pick.
73:18>> Oh, he's a hard knocks He's a hard knocks favorite. Oh, man.
73:22>> Oh my god.
73:24That's crazy, man.
73:26>> Do CFL stats drafting stats CFL stats, right?
73:31>> [laughter] >> Uh I You know, I don't know. I'm not sure. I don't think it's ever come up before. No one's [laughter] No one's
73:37attempted it.
73:40All right, you know what? Since he's not been drafted here, we can look up who I don't know why I decided his name was
73:44Matt. So, Foster Wait, he's not even He's not even coming up.
73:50It was Foster, right?
73:52>> Yeah, it was Foster.
73:54Montorie Foster, I think.
73:57>> Okay.
73:58>> Montorie Foster Jr. You spell it Montorie.
74:03>> Like he's not showing Oh, here. See, he He's not showing in the pool for me on this other Oh, no.
74:11I see. I'm in the I'm in the wrong I'm in the one where he was drafted. All right. So, here we go. So, Foster
74:17M. Foster Jr. Here we go.
74:19>> You have him ranked at 265?
74:21>> I I don't [laughter] have actual rankings. I have I have the DraftKings The DraftKings ADP is supposed to just be the rank. He's
74:29not in the lay-up ranks.
74:31>> [laughter] >> We don't have him in the sims.
74:33Uh 227 ADP. Like, that means he's been taken before now.
74:39>> Well, how many teams has Becca moved on?
74:42>> Well, Sam, you know what this means? If he has an ADP, that draft still might count.
74:47>> Okay.
74:48>> So.
74:49Uh we'll we'll keep switching back and forth. We'll see.
74:53Um >> I mean, it's hey.
74:57Uh Tory Horton still injured. Jake Bobo is on IR.
75:02Who's going to be the wide receiver four in Seattle?
75:05>> So, Peekaboo now took Jay Wright.
75:09>> Who? Jaylen Wright?
75:12>> Uh yeah, Jaylen Wright. No, Jay Wright, the Seattle player.
75:15>> [laughter] >> Can I get a Can I get a position?
75:20>> Jay Wright is a running back from Seattle. Also has an ADP.
75:25>> You I mean, you have him You have him ranked. You're ranked. You're ranked.
75:29Say >> That's just the DraftKings default.
75:32>> Dude, he's probably just drafting off your ranks. I mean, I don't know what to say.
75:36This guy's probably like up sub.
75:38>> [laughter] >> He's got a blend of the ETR leg up ranks.
75:44him to to him Foster and Jay Wright.
75:48>> [laughter] >> Oh, his name's Jacardia? Okay, I'm kind of in.
75:53>> What What did Jacardia do in college? I actually I might add him to the model.
75:57>> [laughter] >> Yeah.
75:59>> See if [snorts] he's in there.
76:00>> up Jacardia Wright college stats.
76:03>> Jacardia? Wow.
76:05That's That's kind of exciting, I got to say.
76:08>> Man, at sportsreference.com, just like don't don't make me verify that I'm a human. Like >> Like every single time?
76:15>> Yeah, like >> some of the time you do it.
76:16>> Yeah, why why is it Well, okay, this guy has 41 career carries in college, so he's got fresh legs heading in the NFL.
76:23>> That's That's Harold Fannin's top of the kick We're on the Q.
76:27We're on the clock. Pikai Lemon would be pretty fun here. He was part of the Herk thing.
76:32>> Yeah, it's part of the Herk thing.
76:34Uh >> I know you have concerns about Fannin's Cedrick Tillman.
76:39Uh >> Yeah, no, I like both I like both these guys here.
76:45Here, do we go I probably go Le'Veon. I like both these guys at this at this cost though.
76:50>> Uh Fannin is probably more likely to come or less likely to come back, but he has a portal, so maybe he doesn't snap.
76:57>> Yeah, yeah.
76:58>> So, we probably should have taken Fannin.
77:00But, we'll see. We'll see how that goes.
77:03Over on this one, uh Peekaboo took Cam Akers. God damn it.
77:07>> [laughter] >> Cam Akers.
77:15Come on, Peekaboo. What was the point of Kenneth Walker >> [laughter] >> like what were you doing? What was that?
77:21>> Oh, we got Fannin to come back.
77:23>> [snorts] >> Uh yeah, Hilarious said he had like in his mind, you know, trying to get inside the mind of
77:31Peekaboo. Like yeah, you got to take >> Scary place to be, dude. Be careful.
77:36>> You got to take It makes sense to take AJ Barner over, you know, Blake Corum.
77:43But, at the same time it makes sense to take Jay Wright, Cam Akers.
77:50>> [laughter] >> That's four Seattle running backs and two of them are definitely not going to play.
77:58>> I don't I mean once you see stuff like that, I just feel like this guy maybe has a time machine or
78:06um like what Okay, here's this. What if the Seahawks stack is what you need in weeks 15 and 16. They absolutely go off. JSN
78:16is on IR at this point. He hasn't been part of the team for a while.
78:20And then, I hate to say it, but the entire team gets in a plane crash.
78:25>> Oh my god, dude. What is that?
78:27>> He's got Donald.
78:29>> And then we I know okay, he's going to get the backup at some point. And then in week 17, you need the entire backup
78:35Seahawks roster in week 17. So, you need you need duplicates of I'm just I don't know. I mean >> You're saying you need You're saying
78:43Seattle's first string offense is the advanced [laughter] rate pieces you need.
78:49>> And then you But you need all their back >> offense.
78:52>> But you need guys that literally You need guys that literally aren't on I hate to say it, but when the plane goes
78:57down, like Jay Wright, Foster Jr., they're not even on the plane. So you need you need those guys.
79:03Yeah.
79:04>> Oh my god. Yeah, that would be one way in which this is not an absolute dog team.
79:11>> It's a classic ping pong strategy.
79:13Uh Jackson >> for our buddy Davis Maddox.
79:17Uh The next pick after Cam Akers was Emmit Johnson.
79:21>> [laughter] >> Oh.
79:23Oh, no. That's >> It's It's pretty bearish. It's over.
79:27It's over for Emmit.
79:29>> So he's I'm guessing he's on the Seahawks practice squad by midseason.
79:35Um is what's is what's happening here.
79:38>> Yeah.
79:39Yeah, unless Emmit Johnson gets traded to the Seahawks following the crash.
79:44Then uh >> [laughter] >> crash >> You should have titled this team the the crash.
79:55>> The crash. Peekaboo also like the I can't quite make out the picture where it's this woman that's And let's see if we can It's kind of got
80:03this stare that's really [laughter] kind of creeps me out.
80:06>> It is something out of a a horror >> [laughter] >> It is. It's out of my night It's out of
80:10my nightmares, yeah. Yeah.
80:12>> Yeah. It's like >> Peekaboo if that's like your mom or something, but [laughter] I just the the the look on her face is a little eerie,
80:19I would say. Wouldn't you Wouldn't you agree?
80:21>> The pixelation, something about it is is off.
80:26>> Yeah.
80:28Well anyways um >> Looks like she's in Twin Peaks. Yeah, that's that's kind of the vibe, right?
80:33Yeah.
80:34>> It's all Is that that's not Dolly Parton.
80:36>> No.
80:37>> Come on. Not Dolly Parton.
80:38>> Rest in peace.
80:39>> She's like the uh receptionist at the motel uh that's very friendly at first and then things things >> Things yeah, things kind of things goes
80:50out.
80:51>> [laughter] >> I like how you didn't want to get into the details there.
80:57>> No, yeah.
80:58>> [laughter] >> Exactly what happens with the Seahawks.
81:03>> Yeah, I'm I mean I didn't want to say that, but >> [laughter] >> you know.
81:09>> Peekaboo put me in a tough spot.
81:11>> Peekaboo put me in a tough spot.
81:13>> [laughter] >> Peekaboo put me in a tough spot too with this team, which I was enjoying.
81:19>> Yeah.
81:20>> not going to be a part of the portfolio, unfortunately.
81:24>> Bummer.
81:25Do you think if you stream a draft like this it has to make it more likely that it gets flagged to DraftKings cuz
81:30>> I think it it would probably would, yeah.
81:32>> The PR of of us winning uh this tournament would have us you know talking about a plane crash and yeah.
81:38>> Right, yeah.
81:40>> crew Uh one of these running backs makes sense.
81:45Uh >> We have Jefferson, I think you know, you get the Vikings correlation >> there with Jones.
81:51>> Yeah, let's do that.
81:52>> I think if I given given the suggestions, it might have Rodriguez at the top after the Jones pick.
81:59>> Yeah, it does.
81:59>> I'm taking a lot of Rodriguez.
82:02I think he's uh very you know, best ball for sure pick, not not a redraft pick.
82:07>> Very much so, but I I think he's a solid pick in best ball and we only have four running backs. I think Jones is a pick
82:14with the Viking like the tiebreaker goes to Jones with the Vikings correlation, but uh if Rodriguez gets back here, I'm into
82:20that.
82:21>> Yeah.
82:22I also know that like most injuries at this point are like nothing, but I didn't love the like Keaton Mitchell had a setback. A setback
82:30to what?
82:31>> Yeah, that was weird, right?
82:33>> Yeah. It's like what it it I don't know.
82:35Maybe it's just the word it's probably just um I assume it was Harbs who >> No, no, it was like McDaniel, I think.
82:42>> Oh, it was McDaniel. Okay.
82:43>> talks He always says weird stuff.
82:45>> He Yeah, I Yeah, he always says weird stuff, but it's like what Yeah, just he's probably just intentionally trying to be vague. That's why he said that,
82:52but it still is a little just like a little weird to me.
82:55>> Agreed.
82:57Um I took Jalen McMillan on the other team cuz I'm trying to get a little bit more diversified on that and uh
83:05you know, I can tell myself I did even though this team's not going to count.
83:09>> Yeah, yeah.
83:10I uh I was thinking about the McMillan thing because I [snorts] don't know. Like part of me thinks like he's like
83:22I don't know what the description is, but but because like he didn't hit a ceiling really in his first two seasons and he's just been like
83:32okay, I think people are like bored and sick of him, but as sort of like a round three receiver, he's been kind of like
83:40successful, I would say but based like compared to the average round three wide receiver who goes to the NFL. Like you
83:46said a successful career and now you're going to a situation where like Buca is injured to start the season potentially. Godwin I've actually been
83:55taking some Godwin, but like there's a chance he is, you know, no longer Christian >> I've started taking some Godwin. He He's
84:01had a strong camp. Kind of kind of more under the radar cuz he's not a young guy, but he's looked good in camp. Seems
84:06like the connection with Baker's been strong. Buca's got the potential turf toe thing, so I've started taking some of him, too. Yeah.
84:13>> Yeah.
84:14But I just think McMillan could be like I don't know. There's not like I don't know. He's at 17% targets per route run, 1.4 yards per
84:21route run to start his career. Like there's nothing like special there, but it's also not horrible and yeah.
84:29I don't think he's like too overpriced either. So, not a guy I have a ton of, but I think I feel similar to you where
84:34I've been like, "Yeah, okay, if this is a Mbu injury like does something, like I think Mcmillan could be could be a solid
84:41later on pick."
84:44>> Yeah. I I think Hurst is probably going to eat his lunch. It it looks like he's really taking advantage of the first team reps
84:51that he's gotten.
84:52Um and I think he's going to end up making [clears throat] an impact this year and uh it looks like Mcmillan will play X to
85:00start with Mbu at Z and and Godwin in the slot and Hurst is they've talked about, you know, his natural position is
85:07X even if that doesn't mean he's the starting X right away.
85:10Um but I do think Mcmillan is going to lose playing time to Hurst probably, but you know, this team was a Baker team and
85:20uh I got him for us at 191. So, >> Yeah.
85:25>> building him in where it makes sense at a discount, I think is still fine even if I my base case is, you know, I just don't
85:33think he's going to he's going to pay off even as a late round pick, but he could.
85:37Um >> Yeah.
85:38>> So, now there there's a couple updates on Mbu that I'll that I'll get us uh here shortly, but uh we're
85:47we're are about to be up.
85:49Chigozie Okonkwo is the tight end two popping up. Uh a quarterback two, we only have Jalen Hurts.
85:55>> Oh, yeah.
85:56>> Would probably be a good idea. Uh so, we're seeing we're seeing a lot of tight ends and quarterbacks right at the top
86:03here cuz we're at five receivers and in pretty good shape at receiver. We took five receivers took four receivers through the first six rounds, five
86:10through the first nine.
86:11Um so, yeah, I think looks like quarterback's probably the the right move. We could even go to a guy like Rodgers with
86:20But we have D'Onta Foreman. Who cares about that? So we should probably just I mean I'd I'd be down to take Young.
86:25>> [clears throat] >> Yeah, I would take I guess the only question is do we do If we're just taking one quarterback on this turn, do
86:31we take Schultz and then >> Yeah. Yeah, maybe Schultz. I think that's probably right.
86:36>> Yeah, yeah.
86:38The lights in my office just went out automatically, which I think is uh kind of the stream. But yeah, I'm down to take
86:47>> [laughter] >> I think this has been a pretty chaotic and wild stream.
86:52How much excitement do your lights need, man?
86:54>> Yeah, I don't know. I'm not moving I'm not moving enough in here. I feel like these are going to go out.
86:58>> Jr.'s off the board?
86:59>> Yeah.
87:00>> Bummer. We're learning about players today.
87:02>> We're learning Yeah, this guy is He's kind of mogging us by teaching us names.
87:06He's he's >> He really is.
87:07>> Yeah. Normally you don't get a chance to teach me and you names, but he's doing it.
87:12>> That That's one of my sayings. You know, like we're going to learn names in the season, right? And we are going to learn
87:16names when we draft with Peekaboo, too.
87:18>> When the plane crash happens, you're going to learn names. I I hate to I hate to tell you.
87:25>> Uh Bryce Young here at the top of the sidekick is the quarterback two. We successfully pushed him.
87:29>> Yeah.
87:30Yeah.
87:31>> I think I'm good with that.
87:32>> Um Yeah. Yeah.
87:36>> Rodgers, we have the D'Onta Foreman thing with it. Rodgers could come back and also >> Yeah, Rodgers, that's what I was
87:40thinking, too. Really.
87:42Yeah. And we need some like we could use a uh late tight end on this team. So like Waller Waller could be in play.
87:49>> Sure.
87:50>> Um I had something on uh I had a real point to make, but I forget now. Uh >> Well, that That's good because I want to
87:57talk about Peekaboo, and that's not >> [laughter] >> That's not a real point at all. So Peekaboo has taken Oh, Peekaboo keeps
88:05like absolutely wrecking with some real picks. So [laughter] So M. Johnson uh then Tyquan Thornton, Kyle Williams and Kobe Parkinson. But the thing I
88:15wanted to point out is Puka Nacua took Cam Akers took Jaylen Wright, first of all, Zach Charbonnet, [laughter] Price, then George Kittle, then Jaylen Wright,
88:24then Cam Akers. So this is a team with four Seattle running backs. Then takes Charbonnet.
88:28>> And and they didn't take Charbonnet.
88:30Wait.
88:30>> And Charbonnet [laughter] goes at 189.
88:33>> They passed. They took four Seattle running backs and they passed on Charbonnet like many times.
88:41>> Pretty bearish for Charbonnet.
88:43>> That's I mean actually I'm not even kidding. Charbonnet is is completely undraftable after that.
88:48>> Yeah.
88:49>> Like even this guy knows like oh I've seen the injury report.
88:51>> Oh no and I timed out on Isaac TeSlaa.
88:53So now I'm now I'm going to notify >> [laughter] >> Draft Kings.
88:59>> Should we [snorts] should we take some players without ADP's try to get this one cancelled?
89:04>> I think it's going to be cancelled already.
89:06>> [laughter] >> And I don't don't worry, Sam. This one's going to get cancelled.
89:11Uh I'll take Nick Singleton today.
89:12>> Singleton, sure, whatever.
89:15>> Uh once you take TeSlaa you actually switch to wanting it to get cancelled.
89:18That's the way that goes.
89:18>> Yeah, no that's that's what I was thinking is I don't know if we TeSlaa on the team I don't know if you
89:23want this anymore.
89:25>> [laughter] >> People have been taking TeSlaa all summer like for real.
89:32And now is a bit. Now is a time out.
89:34It's wild.
89:35>> I've taken him for for some of the first times cuz he's he's been in like the 18th round now.
89:41Um >> Is this why Charbonnet is actually that [laughter] picks?
89:49>> [laughter] >> Is he on the plane or not?
89:52>> He's This is the sad part. He's not healthy but he is on the plane >> [laughter] >> Yeah, no it's yeah.
90:00So that's why he's on cuz you I mean there's two phases. You need the before Seahawks and the after Seahawks and Charbonnet is actually [laughter]
90:06ne- in neither. So >> Yeah, the Seahawks.
90:11It's wild, man.
90:13>> [laughter] >> The after Seahawks.
90:18>> [laughter] >> Man, he's he needs a quarterback. He's the He's a Seahawks QB, too. Let me Let me look this up. Oh, it's J- it's
90:30Melton.
90:30>> It's Melton, yeah.
90:32>> Yeah, but you might >> Yeah, do you do you want quarterback >> quarterback, too? You might want the quarterback three.
90:37>> you want the quarterback three.
90:39>> Drew Lock.
90:41>> Man, Drew Lock See, Drew Lock would wait He He would chuck it enough. He actually could take down a DraftKings final.
90:48>> J Lock or J- I can't even talk anymore.
90:51Drew Lock.
90:52>> Montour Foster Jr.
90:53>> [laughter] >> I'm just using guys' letters cuz I don't know their names anymore.
90:57But, M Foster and and D Lock could be a potent combo.
91:02>> Jacardia right?
91:04>> Jacardia.
91:05That's like your [ __ ] >> yeah.
91:07>> That sounds like that analysis that Sac Religeous did, the Jacardia tree or whatever.
91:11>> Jacardia, [laughter] I think that's what it is. Mont- Montouri.
91:15>> All right, good names.
91:17>> Good strong strong names.
91:20>> Really strong names.
91:21>> me that like Montouri Foster Jr. was like the top wide receiver in the 2028 class, I would believe you.
91:27>> I'm already in.
91:29>> Right?
91:30It's a shame. I I wish Montouri was was a good pick.
91:33Maybe he is. Maybe we should dig into it.
91:37We're going to have I'll tell you I'll say this much. If Puka Nacua wins BBM, we're going to have egg on our face,
91:42Sam.
91:43And we are going to look like a couple of goobers.
91:46>> This stream is Yeah, no, we'll never recover from >> We'll never recover >> stream.
91:53Um Man, it's hard to focus on I'm just still thinking about thinking about the crash.
92:01>> [laughter] >> I'm going to be thinking about building crash based and competency plans into
92:12all my teams going forward.
92:16>> This specifically is a Seattle angle or you do you drafting [laughter] backups on one of all of the teams?
92:21>> I I don't I don't know. I just feel like this guy's found a new meta and I don't want to be I don't want to
92:27be left out, you know?
92:30>> I need to message Pete and see if he's done with the Best Ball Bros video cuz this is this feels like [laughter] a
92:34worthwhile addition.
92:40Oh my god. Pat won't recover, but Sam will have been 100% on the crash.
92:46>> Yeah, that's true. Actually, if if he wins, I think I will be I will look good in this video. I'm not
92:52sure about I don't know if Legendary Upside's going to survive, but I think I'll be I think I'll be okay.
92:58>> There's something so somber about a small pause and then >> [laughter] >> the crash. I mean, it is a very exciting
93:03somber.
93:05>> Yeah.
93:05>> Yeah.
93:06>> No, it's >> It's tough.
93:08>> It's not a laughing matter.
93:09>> It's not a >> [laughter] >> laughing matter.
93:12He said through gales of laughter.
93:18Oh man.
93:18>> Oh.
93:20>> All right, Travis Hunter uh is the guy I've got uh a lot of exposure to as you can see.
93:24Uh K'Shawn Boutte we talked about.
93:27>> Mhm.
93:27>> Lamar Cooper, Trey Harris, anything I'm missing down here?
93:31>> I mean Yeah like I like Hunter. Man, he's so wow, he's so late on DraftKings. I've been in a lot
93:38of DraftKings.
93:39>> It's It's pretty wild, man.
93:41>> Yeah, I would I would I would do Hunter.
93:43Um do we need How worried are you about locking up a quarterback three um on this team?
93:49>> Not especially for one thing. I think uh Penix is on the menu now. Oh, yeah, yeah. You know, you you can do that
93:57later.
93:59Dulcic and Barner I think are both good tight ends that that we can use as tight end three.
94:04>> Yeah, I'm a I actually like both these guys. I'm more of a Barner guy, if you want to if you're good with that.
94:09>> So, Barner?
94:10>> Yeah.
94:12>> A couple weeks ago someone someone called me out in the comments for being like a big Barner guy. So, like Pat
94:20Pat talks about Barner all the time. He he just can't stop. I was like, well, I don't [laughter] I don't know that I've really said much
94:27about the guy other than I think he's a good player.
94:30Like I've never You know, you kind of look back like, did I do a big Barner you know, kind of breakdown bull case
94:35thing at any point? I was like, I don't think so, but I I think maybe in in passing I've just been like, oh, I like
94:40Barner.
94:41A lot, you know?
94:42But I I do like I do like Barner.
94:44>> I like Barner.
94:45>> It is true.
94:46>> Yeah. Yeah. I think we've had this conversation before on Barner. Like I He's one of those guys that I like, but
94:51I can't can't really like come up with a Like I've tried to You know, you you do research, you try to like make an
94:57argument for a player. Like you do it on Barner, and I'm like, man, I got nothing. Like I I I tried. Uh there's nothing that
95:04really pops out about him, but I I do think like just he's a good player on a good team.
95:11My My actually like one somewhat serious thing is like the the Seahawks like passing game. Like what are your
95:22thoughts on like Okay, is JSN 31% targets per route run last season?
95:29Like do you think it's more likely that holds or slightly increases or drops down to say more of like typical
95:39alpha wide receiver on the normal team?
95:42>> alpha wide receiver, yeah.
95:43>> Yeah, like 25, 26, right? Like that's that's more likely.
95:47I I think like >> their pass volume is is likely to increase some, though.
95:51>> Yeah.
95:52>> Like Yeah. Yeah.
95:54Which could be good for the peripheral. If If you get the combo of pass volume increases, JSN's targets per route run goes down, I
96:01kind of think these like Seattle secondary guys are like systematically like a little bit >> I think that's probably right. I think
96:07that's probably right. Yeah. Now, as underrated as Peekaboo thinks, probably >> [laughter] >> I didn't even I didn't even realize I
96:17was I was talking about it.
96:19>> You're literally making the case for Peekaboo's team.
96:22And of course we have gotten Pick Pick Axe pushing back on >> [laughter] >> I mean, you like pick a lane, man.
96:30>> [laughter] >> What What's going to happen?
96:33>> Well, there's I mean, the sad part about the crash is there were a couple survivors that that did have to witness
96:43the whole thing, but I There were some They They did an emergency landing.
96:50Um you know, on a on a stretch of flat land and it was it was horrible. I'm not going to go into details, but there were
96:56some survivors and >> Yeah, please don't go into details, man.
96:58>> And okay, now this is This is what pulls the whole, you know, you said Peekaboo didn't draft the Seahawks back at quarterback. That's
97:07kind of weird with the crash. You know who can take snaps at quarterback?
97:11>> My god, >> AJ Barner.
97:14Emergency quarterback. Week 17, AJ Barner.
97:18That's how it all comes together.
97:21>> That's actually [laughter] You just did the crash bullish for AJ Barner.
97:29>> The crash No, it's actually good. You don't get it. It's good for AJ Barner.
97:32>> It's good for AJ Barner.
97:36You will never believe who Peekaboo finished the draft with. To the point that I [laughter] think Peekaboo might either have used chat GPT this
97:48whole time, be my friend Keith, or >> [laughter] >> be listening to this stream because it is too on the nose.
97:59Who he closed in the 19th round, Puka Nacua took none other than Jayden Higgins.
98:05>> [laughter] >> Wow.
98:08>> Yeah.
98:09>> That's a yeah, good value.
98:12>> And then he took a player less likely to score points this season than M. Foster Jr.
98:19>> [laughter] >> Tua Tagovailoa.
98:26>> [laughter] >> We're on the clock. Omar Cooper.
98:32>> Pretty good value.
98:33>> Yeah.
98:34>> pick here.
98:35>> Yeah. Yeah. Let's take >> Seems good.
98:37>> To finish something about finishing that draft with Tua is just so so funny to me.
98:42>> Yeah, that's so good.
98:44I can't quite explain it either, but it is it is truly a masterpiece.
98:48>> Wow.
98:50>> So K'Lavon, our buddy Charlie Kolar, Penix.
98:54>> Yeah. I kind of like >> We're going to lock up that. Yeah.
98:56>> I kind of like Penix here.
98:58>> [snorts] >> Let's do it.
98:59>> Um >> I think Penix is going to play a lot this year. I think Tua it's over. If Tua can't win this job, and it seems like
99:06maybe he can't.
99:08Like Tua lost If Tua doesn't start this If Tua does not start week one, he straight up lost his job to no one. Like
99:17Penix wasn't able to play in 11 on 11 until like Monday or whatever. Like he just straight up though he was a
99:23quarterback competition against no one, and he lost.
99:28>> Yeah.
99:29>> that's that's historic. That's pretty historic stuff.
99:33>> I always thought it was so so crazy that it was like the default assumption that >> is the crash.
99:39>> [laughter] >> Yeah.
99:41That's true. It's a documentary about Tua's career.
99:47Yeah, the the language that like I feel like, you know, these reporters are like usually like kind of measured with like
99:53what they say, you know, and then but the language I'm trying to find it out what Rap Sheet Evets said about
99:59Tua's performance. It's like his performance like made it impossible for him >> Yeah.
100:05>> Like it was something like that. Let me try to find it again.
100:07>> so bleak, man.
100:10>> It was bad.
100:10>> It's so bleak.
100:13>> Oh, yeah.
100:13>> I love the Tua pick.
100:15>> [laughter] >> Oh, yeah. Put it in the Louvre, yeah.
100:21>> Yeah.
100:22>> If my if M Foster Jr. would take the field, it's going to be so hard to explain why I'm laughing.
100:28>> [laughter] >> It's going to be extra hard to explain, Chris.
100:34After the crash.
100:36>> After Yeah. Don't want to Don't want to Don't want to say it.
100:39>> You're laughing.
100:40>> When you're When you're laughing about the crash, it's going to be hard to explain to people.
100:43>> It's going to be very hard to explain.
100:45>> You're going to have to go to therapy, probably.
100:48>> Yeah.
100:49No, you don't understand it. This was predicted accurately in August. That's not going to make it any better.
100:55>> No.
100:56Way worse.
100:57>> Way worse.
100:58>> Yeah, way way worse.
101:00>> Yeah, your friends and family will not take that in stride, let me tell you.
101:03>> No.
101:05You're going to have to explain like who me and Pat are and your friends.
101:10>> [laughter] >> Two guys who did a podcast together and then they both won $2 million. You're going to start sounding crazy.
101:15>> Two guys who start >> [laughter] >> You're going to start sounding crazy.
101:19And then they both won $2 million.
101:21>> separately won $2 million a couple years apart.
101:24>> Yeah, [laughter] you're basically going to have a full-on schizophrenic I mean, you're going to be telling the reality, but from everyone else's perspective
101:30you're having a schizophrenic breakdown.
101:33>> You're going to start to question if you have been like how when did the breakdown happen?
101:37>> Yes.
101:38>> may have happened in 2022.
101:40>> Yeah.
101:40>> This last 5 years of your life might not even be real.
101:43>> They're not real.
101:45>> Yeah.
101:45>> [laughter] >> This is full-blown Shutter Island.
101:52>> [gasps] >> Okay, I got some breaking news. I did check the official depth chart for the Seattle Seahawks. Um Montorie Foster Jr.
102:02is he might be the wide receiver four cuz Jake Bobo is on IR.
102:05>> No [ __ ] >> Uh Torrey Horton questionable. So it's it's either him or Emmanuel Henderson Jr. Those are the two
102:13guys listed with the second team. Um And Henderson >> Someone coming after your office. Looks like Sam OWES [laughter] $2 MILLION.
102:27>> [laughter] >> YEAH.
102:31>> HE'S MOVING.
102:32>> I'm moving. Come on.
102:34Come on.
102:36The bank I mean the bank examiner jokes I did a podcast this year with Pete where like all the [ __ ] was like packed
102:42up in my background. Like if I hadn't That was where I was like man it's it's so such a bummer that I won $2 million
102:48cuz the bank examiner jokes would have hit so hard.
102:52Like when you once you're successful it's like you can't be as funny. So people don't think about that.
102:57>> Yeah. Winning $2 million is derogatory.
103:01>> Yeah. No it's >> Yeah. Kind of ruined the joke.
103:03>> really doesn't really help my life at all.
103:05>> [laughter] >> Look Look at where I am man.
103:09>> Look at where I am.
103:11Let me tell you money isn't everything.
103:14>> No. [laughter] It's not worth it.
103:16>> Yeah.
103:17Man I can't believe Montorie Someone said they just took him in the last round of an eliminator.
103:22He's He's actually maybe kind of a good pick.
103:26>> [laughter] >> DeeJay Dallas Frost is in.
103:30>> I can't tell if that's serious.
103:32>> I don't think it it's a joke. I mean, he's the fourth string wide receiver on the Seahawks as we talked about. There's
103:39contention upside on that team.
103:43Because of crash.
103:44>> next pick here I'm I'm not going to be able to to to comment on, but you're allowed to.
103:50>> Okay. [laughter] >> But I'm just going to kind of a moment of silence situation.
103:54>> All right, hang on.
103:57Let's go ahead and take the Charlie Kolar.
104:00And I'm going to add Sam back to the stream.
104:02>> Thank you. I I know the lawyers we have hashed this out beforehand of how we would handle this type of situation.
104:08>> [laughter] >> Thought that was Thought that was well done.
104:10>> I appreciate it.
104:13You've not You've still not been on stream taking Charlie Kolar. Do not worry.
104:17>> Yeah, no.
104:19>> Yeah.
104:19>> Can't be held against me.
104:21Fifth tight end. Never done that before.
104:23I think Jeremy Man, I've taken I'm taking the stand >> Kolar for us.
104:27>> No, I'm just saying that the that someone in you know, those guys are recommended pretty highly. Jeremy would would be
104:34Man like I guess Leggett with Bryce, I guess.
104:39>> Yeah, but you know, what whatever.
104:41I I'm I'd be fine with with Leggett if Jeremy doesn't get back, but 20th round, second round wide receiver who
104:50apparently there was a report today that the in having gone through preseason, the Steelers are pretty disappointed in Roman Wilson and are reconsidering the
105:01their plan at slot receiver. Yeah, right? Like And you know, people have I don't know. Maybe I'm Maybe I'm wrong, but it feels like
105:10people have been taking the training camp stuff like way more at face value this year and like with a longer You know, and I say this to someone
105:21who's taking Charlie Kolar who's built almost entirely on training camp stuff, but like he there's but he's in the 19th, 20th round still, you know? But
105:28there's like this like not only am I going to believe that whatever is happening in training camp is what's going to happen week one, but
105:36then that it will continue for the whole year.
105:39There's always some of that, but if I feels more this year like the Roman Wilson one It's like, how are we getting How are we
105:47allowing Roman Wilson to to matter at all in fantasy drafts? And and he does because he's pushing Jeremy Bernard down to the final round of drafts.
105:58And then Yeah. Of course Bernard. Of course he's probably going to flip him before week one, you know? Like and even
106:03if he doesn't, who cares? Like that's not It sort of doesn't matter to me because these he just won the 20th
106:08round. I I need him to score well like one time in December.
106:12Um >> Yeah.
106:14>> you know? But it's it does seem It it it seems different to me. Omar Cooper here as well at 203 because of an
106:21Isaiah Williams uh sign up that has already ended.
106:25They've already flipped him back over Williams and he's still down at 17 11 here. Like I don't know. What what are your
106:31thoughts on that?
106:33>> I'm with you. Yeah. I'm just trying to remember if it like is different this year or not. I feel like
106:41It's almost like we've gone backwards in time to like how we used to think about things like five years ago.
106:46Where like I I don't know. I always think like these things like I know some people have extreme takes where it's
106:51like preseason doesn't matter at all.
106:53You shouldn't care about the snap counts at all. Like you shouldn't adjust your priors at all. I'm definitely not on that side of things, but
106:59um Yeah, certain certain situations I do feel like I've been very poorly interpreted um this season and
107:10Yeah, like the Cooper like you just got to put everything in perspective. Like is it good that Omar Cooper didn't immediately win the job from Isaiah
107:17Williams? No.
107:18It's not good. Did that mean that was very likely to hold all season? Like absolutely not. Um so yeah, it it's uh
107:27>> As it turns out, it didn't hold for more than one preseason game.
107:30>> Yeah, yeah. Which it's like he's a first-round pick. Like you got to be serious. Um doesn't mean he's going to
107:35be a doesn't this doesn't mean he's going to be a good pick.
107:38Whatever.
107:39>> doesn't.
107:40>> But yeah, I mean, where he goes is is kind of insane.
107:44>> Yeah, it really is.
107:46When you said we got to keep it in perspective, that's what I feel like has been lost a little bit this year. You
107:51know, it's like can we have priors? Like are we allowed to have priors? Feel like maybe we should consider having some
107:57priors. Uh things like first-round pick will play over Isaiah Williams at some point. Uh pretty early into his rookie year kind of stuff. Um
108:06guys bust, of course, but you know, it's uh >> [sighs] >> It's like he can't like frankly, he can bust and still hit. Or both guys can
108:16bust and still be awesome picks. Um in the 17th and 20th round. So.
108:21>> Yep.
108:21>> Uh Can I get an honest bull case on Kolar?
108:24I will never understand. Sure. Um so Charlie Kolar looks like the starting tight end for the Chargers and is catching a lot of the ball a lot in
108:32training camp. Uh I don't think he's going to be a big-time producer, but he's on a really good offense. He can
108:38catch some touchdowns and he could have you know, some solid outings for for very cheap and he's unlikely to be a
108:43total zero. So, you know, he hits your lineup a few times, helps you get through week 15 or maybe even you know,
108:49helps cover an injury at tight end or something. He could be a pretty worthwhile pick and not a completely useless pick, which you do find pretty
108:57regularly in the 20th round and 19th round or whatever.
109:00Uh Sam, I was just talking to the chat about something random.
109:04>> Yeah, no, sorry. I had an internet issue. I don't know if the something's something weird's going on in my office today. Um
109:12but yeah, no, it uh I'm I'm now. So all right, we can move on.
109:18>> Just in time to uh to wind things down.
109:20We're going to be I'm going to be recording a a stream tonight with with Steph Miller and the the guys for on ship chasing. We got
109:32another another draft that we're going to be recording tonight and then I believe we're releasing that not tonight, I don't know.
109:40I record I know for a sure we're doing it tonight. So, the there there you go.
109:44I think we might be releasing it later though. And then crack rocks stream is live tomorrow night.
109:50Um that one's going to be absolutely nuts as it always is.
109:55And got some more ship chasing streams next week including with the the new stat chasing crew excited to to jump on
110:03for that. We're we got the the 5K big payback with Leone and Gretch coming up soon. So, tons of great stuff happening on ship
110:10chasing. I'll be back here tomorrow with Davis. We're going to be doing another draft, talking some ball, and then RotoPat on Friday is going to join. I
110:19I'm planning my plan right now is just to like pick his brain on what he thinks the most outrageous [ __ ] that is
110:24happening in best ball is I assume Jonathan Brooks will be one of the things that he thinks is is just absolutely jumped the shark.
110:30Luther Burden he talks about as if his career is over and he's and he's having the retrospective of why it didn't work.
110:37So, I'm definitely going to get his thoughts on Burden. But, just >> That's very good.
110:41>> Yeah, uh I think the >> Can I can I give can I give a quick quick >> spoiler a quick spoiler I I
110:47not to say too much but I think his Brooks take will surprise you based on what I've heard.
110:53Okay. All I'll say. So, maybe a bit of a a plot twist there.
110:58>> Wow. All right, interesting. But, yeah, I'm I'm I'm excited for that. We're we're going to be doing that Friday and then we'll
111:04both be on with Pete on Monday for for best ball breakfast. Um anything else you want to you want to shout out?
111:11>> No, we got our main event stream. I forgot if you mentioned that coming up next Thursday, which I'm excited for. And then besides
111:18that, just all the the normal stuff. I'll be back to I'm actually going to have to start doing DraftKings. I'm I'm back in in
111:25Maine for a couple weeks um after the move.
111:29So, um yeah, I have to get some more DraftKings streams going. But, uh yeah, looking forward to some more drafts next week.
111:38>> Awesome. Um shoutout to our buddy Grech, by the way, who uh just published a an ebook of all his um
111:44kind of like the best of Stealing Signals, which is which is really awesome. He's been tweeting about that.
111:49Um and I want to shoutout your new book uh that it's it's going to be dropping, The Crash, uh that will be uh detailing the the
111:562026 season upcoming.
111:58>> There's a lot of data in there about um crash rates of Boeings versus Airbuses.
112:04It's a detailed breakdown. So, um yeah, I I thought I mean Grech covered a lot in his 1,000 page book, but there's a
112:10couple key things I thought he missed.
112:12So, I thought I needed to kind of >> [laughter] >> add add to the story there.
112:15>> Well, you know, his book and actually, you know, as I I used Grech's book to get to to another bit. But, Grech's book
112:22is real and you honestly should check it out. Uh and it's a you know, it's kind of a collection of his writing over the
112:27years. He hasn't written about uh you know, potential plane crash in the 2026 season and that would be a strange thing
112:33for him to have done. So, the two books, if you decide to write yours, uh will be quite different.
112:39>> Yeah.
112:39>> Uh Grech in Seattle, maybe a full full circle moment that I that I didn't even realize.
112:44>> Mhm.
112:44>> Um anyway, all right.
112:47We'll be back here uh next Thursday. Are you Are we back on our regular regular schedule next Thursday? All right.
112:53>> Yep.
112:53>> See you there for another uh episode of That's Fair. Thanks for watching. Uh thanks for uh riding with us as we we
112:59jump around in two different drafts.
113:01Thanks to Peekaboo, frankly, for uh for some from some Thank you for some phone times, yeah.
113:06>> A memorable one, for sure.
113:08>> For sure.
113:09>> And we'll see everyone back here tomorrow. Later.
