Stefon Diggs

PositiveValue0:06

Stefon Diggs is viewed as a reliable chain-mover with great feel and suddenness, particularly when working from the slot; he is currently in great shape with no planned pitch count. While he faces minimal target competition in a thin Commanders wide receiver room, his current ADP in the 90s is considered slightly too expensive, with a preferred target range closer to 105.

0:00What are your thoughts on kind of how
0:01Diggs fits in, you know,
0:03with McLaurin and Dykes and just Diggs'
0:05outlook?
0:06>> So, Dan Quinn on August 7th was asked,
0:10"What does Diggs bring to the offense?
0:11What does he still do at a higher
0:13level?" Quinn said, "When you see him
0:15work inside as a slot player, he's got
0:17great feel. He's a great competitor.
0:19He's somebody certainly that can move
0:21the chains." They also asked Quinn
0:23whether he anticipates any kind of a
0:25pitch count uh this year like Diggs was
0:28on last year in New England. Quinn said,
0:30"We haven't gone through that far yet to
0:33see packages, what we play, how we
0:34feature it. We just know he's in great
0:36shape. We're ready to start building him
0:38in."
0:39Uh they also asked Quinn what stood out
0:42about Stefon Diggs when Quinn played
0:44against him in the
0:45in the past. Uh Quinn said his
0:48suddenness inside.
0:50They then asked uh Quinn how he feels
0:52about the offense with Diggs. He said,
0:54"I love some of the uniqueness that Stef
0:56has in his game as a slot player. When
0:59you have an accurate passer like Jayden
1:00Daniels, the ability to deliver the ball
1:02to the right location against a specific
1:04coverage is a really big deal." Uh Quinn
1:07also said he won't exclusively play just
1:09the slot.
1:10>> It If he keeps moving up and he he has,
1:14you know, it looks like he might end up
1:16in the 90s. I have him more in like kind
1:18of the 105-ish sort of zone.
1:22Uh that might be ultimately like a
1:24little bit too expensive for me.
1:27Um at the same time, I do think they
1:31they maybe think about him as that kind
1:33of chain mover, that reliable guy where
1:36it's not like he's just out there uh in
1:39in a limited way
1:41and they're not [clears throat] thinking
1:42about whether or not he's out there.
1:43Like they might have, you know, specific
1:46situations that they really lean on him.
1:49Um and there is no there's no real depth
1:51at receiver.
1:53I mean, like literally De'Anthony
1:54Brown's going to play
1:56for these guys. Like, you know, when
1:58when Diggs in the slot, who's the other
1:59outside wide receiver with McLaurin? It
2:01might be Burks, Burks, I mean, Brown.
2:03Yeah. So, I mean, he doesn't have a ton
2:06of target competition here. Um
2:09So, yeah, if you have Diggs and I
2:10actually don't have a big bag of Diggs.
2:13Um
2:14>> [clears throat]
2:14>> which Zane apparently
2:16uh
2:17a bag of Diggs is now in my head uh
2:21in [laughter] a different way, you know.
2:24Uh there's been some comments on a big
2:26bag of Diggs in the [snorts] Discord.
2:28But anyway, I don't have a big bag of
2:29Diggs
2:30from before he signed with the
2:32Commanders.
2:34Uh unfortunately, if you do, I think you
2:36got to feel pretty good about that. In
2:38the 90s, I I think I'm not going to be
2:40loading up, but
2:42I've been happy to get him when he falls
2:43into like the the 105-ish kind of range.
