0:02Welcome to the Legendary Upside podcast and YouTube channel. My name is Pat Crarane. You can follow my content at legendaryupsside.com.
0:08With me today, Sam Sherman for That's Fair. Sam, how's it going?
0:12>> I'm good, Pat. I'm excited for the show.
0:14I think it's been, you know, a month, two months of us uh stretching to find topics to to hit on and now we're
0:21flooded with information. So, >> yeah, we're in it, man.
0:25>> It's it's all happening. Um, yeah, we're going to talk through some of the big training camp news. I'll tease that I'm
0:32a few minutes late here because just chatting with Zayn Dani uh for and Eric Bour on the latest Legendary Sicko. So,
0:41that was a fun episode getting his uh getting the download from Zayn a little bit on some of this training camp stuff
0:47and and where he's at on things. But, yeah, it's been kind of uh the fire hose of training camp. It didn't turn on like
0:54as you know, it's like, oh, training camp's starting. It's like is it you know because it's like those first days the rookies show up people are
1:01>> you know get but now dude training camp has started it's like >> started >> you don't check things for a couple
1:09hours and there's a ton of news coming in of course some of it has been injury related um but let's start with a
1:16positive injury related thing maya on Malik Neighbors who I was much more you know for best thinking would would fall >> um not that I was necessarily more
1:26bearish than what I was seeing out there, but I felt like the bearishness that had been reported wasn't fully captured in the ADP. Well, that
1:35bearishness did not uh was not accurate because Malik Neighbors is out there running routes and catching passes from Jackson Dart. So, that's been he's been
1:44someone I've been trying to get more of.
1:46I keep getting draft slots. Uh, I've been, you know, about to, uh, I'm done with the Chow Chow now. And I think I
1:53got like two of my 15 slots in a range where I could maybe get Malik Neighbors and like Sacrilegist and Shady were in
1:59the drafts and just scooping neighbors and I'm just watch I'm just like screaming from, you know, the case Interstellar thing like that [laughter]
2:07should be my team. Uh, you know, so I've been trying to get a little bit more. I didn't end up with a mega fade on him.
2:13like it's 7% neighbors, but obviously having a chance to take him in the fourth is going to look awesome. And that's one where yeah, it's just it's a
2:23bummer not to have more at that price.
2:25At the same time, it is nice to have it's nice to be wrong on a player like Malik Neighbors and it's because he
2:31looks like he might be healthy all season and we get to watch >> Malik Neighbors play football. So, >> I'm I'm pumped as an NFL fan. And I I'm
2:40with you that I I probably wasn't playing this perfectly. I Yeah, I was taking shares of him when he fell to the
2:4634 turn, but I was being pretty price conscious with that. And I mean that you could say this is coping. I am always
2:55fine to be the person who's a bit of an injury skeptic and then when we get the news, I think Malik Neighbors is going
3:01to rise to the two three turn maybe. Um second.
3:06>> Yeah.
3:07>> Yeah. And and I don't think that's I have plenty of time to catch up. I don't think that that's that big of an L for
3:14me because it's not like he flipped all the way around to like the four five turn. You know what I mean? So like sure
3:19do I wish I had more of him in the three three four turn? Yes.
3:25These things are unpredictable. Jordan Renan was a very, you know, very plugged in Giants beat writer. He did not really see it going this way. Um, anyways, it
3:35let's I don't think people people care about like me explaining about the way I played it. I think the way to play it
3:41now is that um I was >> You should draft Link Neighbors.
3:44>> You [snorts] should draft Link Neighbors. Yeah. Um and I think >> I guess I'm curious what where did you slot him in? I think I have I have an
3:54answer for that. But where where do you have him ranked now with this latest news?
3:57>> Let me just pull up what I have. Uh Malik Neighbors we have currently uh at 30 with the idea of like you're
4:09trying to but I'm gonna move him up actually. That's too low.
4:11>> Yeah, >> cuz what it is is that that's with the ADP pulling him down.
4:17>> I would have him at 22 if I just took ADP up. Basically what I'm going to do right now >> that see him go.
4:24>> Yeah, that's exactly where I would be. I mean, I don't have my own like one through 200 rankings, but in terms of
4:30like ADP, I would slot him. Um, like sorry, Nico Collins is is the line for me. I would still take Collins over
4:39Neighbors just cuz I still I still think you have to price in like some injury concern for Neighbors. This is a serious
4:46multi-legant ACL tear. We see guys who who meet the return to play timelines like Javvante Williams and don't meet the return to performance when they
4:56play. Totally.
4:57>> If you know what I mean. So there I think you still have to like price in some risk for him. But for me that line
5:02is Nico Collins. And I actually I like Collins like above AJ Brown. So I think I would go like Collins Neighbors AJ
5:10Brown Pickkins like that. That's >> still AJ Brown over Neighbors. I think just with you got the the Naggie offense, you got the potential for him
5:20not to be like neighbors for a at least a little while. Like Bruce Hall got back off of an ACL and was awesome, but it
5:30wasn't like he was smashing until he got to the end of the season. He was still productive, >> but you know, Bree Hall cost because
5:39there was a lot more uh kind of FUD on Bruce Hall. He ended up costing I think like a fourth or fifth round pick by the
5:46end because they signed Dvin Cook. He's going to be the starter. Blah blah blah.
5:49All that [ __ ] So he paid off that AP easily.
5:55I think that hurts you more if it if you're taking it in the middle of the second. So the line for me on neighbors
5:59is probably at least Yeah, I think he's probably in the mix with those guys, but I probably would take those guys over
6:06him >> at least for I mean >> I think it's all the same tier for sure.
6:12Yeah.
6:13Yeah. Um and yeah, I think you're right that like we can build more confidence o over time with neighbors, like see how
6:22it looks in the preseason. Again, this this is still just practice and this is like awesome ADP changing news. It is
6:30not like we're totally out of the woods on this injury and we can completely ignore it now, which I I do wonder if if
6:36some people will interpret it as that and he'll get priced up like above Drake London. I don't think that will happen,
6:43but like I think if it does, I would be I'd be out on that. I do think there's like all the way in.
6:50>> Yeah. and unless so you know just like kind of from my because one of the things like I was very much in on the
6:57Bree Hall one because from what I understood of you know the recovery timeline he was like very safe to be kind of and he's a young guy and he you
7:07know so you have a lot of the same things with Neighbors being an an elite athlete ahead of the injury being super
7:13young those all make >> you know his return to performance stuff less concerning and >> are better for his timeline line,
7:22but that timeline wasn't supposed to be now. Like his timeline kind of put him missing time, you know, like when you
7:31look at he had the timing of the injury, meniscus involvement, and then he had the Cyclops legion that lesion that he
7:38had to then get repaired. So, he's like way ahead of schedule in a way that is from people who like know a lot more are
7:46telling me is like kind of shocking to them. Okay.
7:50>> So, I do think that there is the potential for neighbors.
7:55We get a report that's something like the Giants are optimistic neighbors will be able to play week one and that report
8:03is like a week from week one.
8:07Like I I wonder if he could fall on stuff like that. Like it's he's going to move up. He potentially moves up past
8:14where I'm comfortable drafting him. I wonder if there is still that little pullback of like guys he he's still got a ways to go to be Malik Neighbors
8:25and you know maybe that I still think today is probably the cheapest you're going to get him for the rest of the summer. I'm not saying that,
8:32but like if he does move up into the 203 range at that point, I'd probably be going, >> I bet I could get him at the 23 turn in
8:44late in in early September, something like that when when maybe he's not even 100% or he's going to be on a snap.
8:50They're going to have a snap count for him. He'll probably be on a snap count for the first three weeks, something
8:55like that. You know, that's kind of how I'm thinking about it. But obviously I am comfortable that I'm comfortable drafting him in the third round if
9:03that's what we're looking at. Very comfortable. I would like to do it. I'd like to do more of it. I get pissed when
9:07I don't have draft slots where I can take neighbors when I enter drafts. Um so yeah, that that's my thinking where
9:14there is a price at which I would say, okay, people are taking on more risk than they probably think they are.
9:22Um, yeah, I think we see this uh very very similarly. But yeah, overall awesome awesome news as NFL fans. You know, top 10 real life NFL wide receiver
9:34is is healthy. This going to make the Giants I think the Giants were slated to play in a bunch of prime time games to
9:38start the season. That would have been unwatchable without neighbors. So, it's going to be it's going to be fun. I'm excited.
9:44>> Be honest. It's over for the faders. I mean, like, none of us at Legup have a ton of neighbors, but I've been like
9:50I've entered a bunch of the high stakes drafts over the last couple days. Not gotten really any spots where I could
9:55get neighbors, but like I've seen Shady scoop a bunch of neighbors in the third round, mid- third round. I got I got
10:01mid- third round neighbors get last night in a BBM, so maybe I'm good there.
10:06Uh, you know, I'll run I'll run that back. But the the neighbors price in the middle of third just it's not over. If
10:13you're getting middle neighbors, middle third neighbors, that's like what that's like what happened with Z Flowers. You're saying are we dead because it's like middle
10:23third Z Flowers versus middle, you know what I mean? I obviously know this, but like it's the same thing.
10:28>> It's functionally the same thing.
10:30>> I'd rather have middle of fourth, but no one no one's dead because they don't have middle of the fourth. If you get
10:35middle of the third, I would like to get more middle of the third, though. That seems good.
10:39>> Middle of the second versus middle of the third is a much bigger difference.
10:43I generally think people like way overrate the like, oh, like if you didn't get the best price on a player, it means you can't take him at his new
10:51value.
10:52>> I think Zack just taking all the mid-3 neighbors and I I'm literally in drafts with these guys and they're just getting the the what I'm trying I'm
11:00in the draft to do. I'm there to do it.
11:02They get it instead.
11:03>> Yeah, >> I'm not tilted. Don't put in the paper that I'm tilted.
11:07>> I was trying to uh I was trying to pull up this team I got. I posted this. It was a zero RB team that I posted on
11:15Twitter that did not get good reviews, but it had neighbors that picked 44 on it. I'm trying to find this now. Um,
11:23anyways, this is this is bad podcasting, but um I did get one share of like very late neighbors. Like I I wasn't seeing
11:30going at 44 um too too much. So, I'm excited. I at least got some exposure to it. But um anyways, should we move on to I think
11:41like maybe the Piol is is probably the next biggest topic.
11:47>> Yeah, the Pearl news is is killing me.
11:49It's just this guy with your avatar is Davis, I guess. Um yeah, so the Pearson
11:57news obviously a uncertain situation but a a bummer of a situation to one degree or potentially much larger degree where Persaw could miss the whole season now.
12:08Uh last I saw you know it was looking like surgery's very much on the table but not a certainty. Um, and even if he doesn't get surgery, it
12:19look would look like maybe he's going to be uh a dog to really contribute this year because of of how much uh you know the
12:28knee is bothering him still. So, it's pretty bad situation for Ricky Paw, >> bad situation for the 49ers.
12:35>> Christian Kirk also suffered a calf injury which is much more minor. Um, then they have KD coming off the the
12:41Achilles. He's not practicing uh yet, but looks that looks bullish. But, you know, week one like it's possible that
12:52like their wide receiver 3 is Jacob Cowing or something unless they sign someone. So, yeah. Um Demarcus Robinson is still on
13:02the roster.
13:02>> Oh, Demarcus Robinson. That's that's that's who it should be. Yeah.
13:06>> Yeah. I I think um anyways yeah I I think yeah a lot of lot of huge I think POL for me again I I play these things a
13:15little bit more risk averse I I think Pall's completely off my board until we learn more I think like real risk you're
13:21getting a zero for the full season um if you want to take stabs on him super late I I I guess that's fine but some of the
13:29murmurers I've heard seems like real risk of missing the season so I I am kind of completely out on him. We We'll
13:36wait and see. I think in the next couple days there. Uh and then with scribbling, I think that is like the interesting
13:42question of, you know, Mike Evans, you can you can bump up a little bit. I think you you can feel a little better
13:47about his ceiling case and his floor case as as being the number one, but I don't think he moves like a ton. I think
13:54Stribbling is really the huge mover here. You know, um I think I'm trying to pull up ADP now and I'm curious where
14:02you have him. I think I would >> I just jumped in a draft. I mean, he was he's going in like the 140s, I think,
14:08now.
14:08>> Yeah.
14:09>> Um, >> so it's not like he's, >> you know, he's still relatively inexpensive for a
14:19player who's got a clear path to playing time now.
14:23>> Yeah.
14:23>> But obviously, he used to be a lot cheaper.
14:26>> Yeah. And I was going to say like Omar Cooper to me is like roughly the range where I think dribbling should fit in.
14:33Obviously Cooper better prospect, higher draft capital, but not that far apart in terms of draft capital if we're being honest. And we're talking 49ers versus
14:42the New York Jets and way clearer paths to high target ceiling for dribbling now in my opinion. Um, so I think I'm not
14:50saying I would take him over Cooper, but I think that is, you know, gut reaction about the right range of where dribbling
14:57should go. Um, I think in that tier of receivers, Jaden Higgins, Stefon Dig, Shahed, Cooper, um, McMillan, that that tier of wide receivers feels like about
15:07the right price for him. I'm curious curious what you've done in your your rankings.
15:11>> We've were so high on him to begin with that we haven't moved him like a ton because I think that what
15:20>> I have always thought that Stribbling was being really undervalued from an opportunity perspective. He was a 33rd overall pick.
15:29>> They were going to play Deshawn Stribbling this season like that. I mean, given the other options, Christian Kirk, you know, uh, out of the slot and
15:41like I'm wasn't a big Persaw guy. Uh, I'm not convinced, you know, he's he's like a big-time talent by any means. So,
15:50I always thought Stribbling was going to have opportunity this season. this locks that in. He's going to have opportunity that season. I'm much less convinced
16:00that Stribbling's any good.
16:02>> So, I haven't moved him up a ton. We've got him in the 140s. We got him right Yeah. 144 in the ranks. So, kind of
16:10right where he's probably going to go in in drafts if you jump in right now. But I mean, I do think you you have to worry
16:18a little bit about, you know, his potential to contribute as a rookie who was not productive in college.
16:28They are saying a lot of nice things about him though. And so that's I'm starting to feel confident that we at least have
16:36something. You know, we're Brock Party's calling him a baller. And and again, the bar is kind of getting lower on what
16:43something even is. like they need they need dudes who can >> catch a screen, you know, at some point, right? So,
16:50>> like if he's out there playing, >> I think uh you know and and it's just in more and more increasingly likely that
16:57he will be out there playing. So, yeah, I'm I'm uh I'm definitely feeling better about dribbling. To me, it's more like,
17:04man, I'm glad I loaded up on stribbling when I just felt like people weren't taking him seriously as someone who could like clearly could matter this
17:15year.
17:16>> Um, and it is a bet on the strength of this this offense. You know, it's a bet on draft capital and 49ers offense. It
17:24was it. But the more expensive he gets, the more risky he gets because now you're betting not on that as much, but
17:30on Deshawn Stribbling, the unproductive college receiver.
17:36Yeah. And and with dribbling, I think like I again like I just feel very good about this 49ers setup. The 49ers have a
17:47history of taking wide receivers with serious flaws in their game and turning them into huge fantasy contributors.
17:54Debo Samuel never really been able to like beat man press coverage. Like that's not what he does and they turned him into this like superpowered yak
18:03weapon getting touches out of the back field. Um also pulling up some games last year. This is these are Kendrick Bourne game logs from last
18:14year. back-to-back games, 10 for 142, five for 142. Talk talking about Kendrick Bourne and then Jawan Jennings
18:23uh back in in 2024 11 for 175 and three, seven for 93, 10 for 91 and touch like these are not nobody thinks Kendrick
18:33Bourne Jawan Jennings are particularly talented. We're leaving them for dead in fantasy this year in new situations basically, right? And that's where I
18:40agree with you. The bar for Deshawn Stribbling to [snorts] put up big games in fantasy is not that he's like this complete wide
18:50receiver that does everything well. It's that if this 49ers offense condenses to a couple guys and they trust him, I think he can he can put up some big
18:59games. So, as long as he doesn't go into the like I think I'm comfortable with him like a little bit higher than you
19:04guys like 130s, but I'm not not that far off. I think same range. As long as he doesn't go like near pick a 100 and I'm
19:10taking him near guys like Matthew Golden, Michael Pitman, guys that I feel like >> more confident about >> like Shakir, right? Shakir's in like
19:2020s.
19:21>> Um >> yeah. Um >> yeah, I I would put him in the same I would put him after Shakir, but like I
19:29don't think in a crazy different tier for me personally. Um but yeah, you I think we that's where the risk starts to
19:37get baked in because you're you're taking at that point there's guys that have you know either attractive upside cases of their own like Omar Cooper or
19:45like much better floor cases like Shakir. So that's where you have to be like careful I think. But I think that's
19:50like around the right range for dribbling.
19:53>> Yeah. for me like where I felt really really comfortable with dribbling is when he was priced you know in the 180s
20:02obviously later than 200 that's when I was like what's happening like this you know this dude was 33rd overall pick and
20:08like that you go like my comps are you know I'm like hey you know Van Jefferson when he was a starter is a second year
20:16not as a rookie but when he was a starter had a 25% advance rate >> and he's Van Jefferson like this is the
20:23there's like he you get a guy who's like just draft cap alone might be worth like a hundred half PPPR points and then
20:31you're if it's free like okay like that's going to really really help. Um especially if you know he turns in a big
20:38spike week in one of the the later weeks then that's even better than a a nice advance rate. So uh that's when I felt
20:45the most comfortable with dribbling as he moves up. You know, I think about him compared to a guy like Shakir. Like
20:51Shakir is a much much stronger pick in my mind where I just know he can play.
20:55He's a great offense. He does he's I'm not worried about I'm worried about his routes in the sense that he's a slot
21:01receiver. He's never going to have full like, you know, he's never 90% route participation or something. He's probably in the 70s, but um he's not
21:09squeezed by anybody. Like they're wide receiver three. They're still trying to figure out that like there's no threat
21:17um to Shakir's ability to to play and I think he's a pretty good player. So, not a great player, but he's pretty good. Um
21:26that's where you look at like if stribbling started to go around a guy like that, the floor on stribbling isn't zero because I think they kind of
21:35need him to be something, but it's low.
21:37He could suck, >> you know. Yeah. So, that's that's where the price moving up. It does make it a little tougher.
21:44>> Yep. For sure. The good news, and again, like this is it's still practice reports. It's still coach speak, player speak, whatever. It does sound like he
21:52is ingratiating himself to the coaching staff and to Brock Perie in terms of like the fundamentals. And that's what he was known for in his prospect
22:00profile, like good run blocker. Like things like that matter a ton in the Shanahan system for getting on the field. And that I think protects his
22:07zero. Could he be on the field the way Jawan Jennings was, you know, before his breakout and just be kind of like on the
22:15fringes, not very useful? Sure. But at least being on the field like, you know, as a late round pick, that gives you
22:22some some floor. And I think I'm gaining confidence that like he's a trusted player. So, um >> I am too. I am too.
22:29>> Yeah. And I think the ceiling is still like higher than like I my my position kind of shifts on stribbling a little
22:38bit, but I still think that we are wrong about prospects. And when we're wrong about some of these guys, uh, you know, that don't have the
22:50production profiles, the way in which we're wrong is often the early season.
22:54like Kelvin Benjamin can come in and have an awesome rookie season and then ultimately not really work out. You know, Jan Dodson can come in and have a
23:02production productive rookie season and then ultimately not not work out.
23:06>> Rasheed Rice can be really productive early in his career and potentially not get signed to a second contract uh you
23:14know by the team that's installing him as their number one wide receiver year after year. You know, obviously there's some off the- field stuff there, but
23:21like I kind of think that depending on the player, like that's one of the things that production can give you signal about is like it's, you know,
23:29buying stuff like that. So, Rice, it's like not a great prospect ultimately, like even in this role, maybe he he's someone that the Chiefs
23:39move on from, but like was a pretty awesome pick when he was going in the 12th round as a rookie, you know? So,
23:46>> I don't want to I don't want to get overly precise on the ceiling when I've got a player who's going to play with
23:52high-end draft capital in a great offense. Like, the ceiling is still high on stribbling. Uh it would maybe be that I would be trying to chase that ceiling.
24:01Maybe at this point more in reddraft if the price rises than in in baseball, you know, again, like if we're talking about
24:08a price in the 120s, that's when I'd go.
24:10Maybe it's more of a reddraft play now where it's a swing for the fences, but the floor is pretty low.
24:16>> Yeah, I think that's an interesting point. Like again, this this is all just like >> comparisons and pattern matching. But
24:22there's been plenty of examples of guys with day two draft capital who were freak athletes um but didn't have the strongest production profiles.
24:32um DK Metaf, Christian Watson, Chase Clayool, those guys stand out as guys that actually kind of like peaked in a sense in their first year, second year
24:40in the league. Um obviously Christian Watson had had a rebound last year, but Christian Watson's like rookie season was amazing from a per route basis. Um
24:49DK Metaf got off to a really hot start.
24:52He wasn't seen as some mega producer. He was just kind of more of the freak athlete arc type. So, I think there's a
24:58bit of a misunderstanding that like these guys have to be like developmental and and peak over time. And I think we
25:03just don't don't know like we can't have that much confidence that that's going to happen. But anyways, we should probably uh end the stribbling
25:11conversation at some point.
25:13>> We'll never we'll never stop talking about stribbling. Uh the stribbling the dribbling bags have been packed and we feel we feel good about that. But yeah,
25:20it'll be interesting to see how the the strip this kind the funny thing about this is it might change like what the
25:27stribbling what people even think about with dribbling because now I think there's a very high chance that we end up in a situation where stribbling
25:35>> has like kind of a disappointing rookie season now compared because he's going to go up so much people be like, "Oh
25:42yeah, you guys were in on stribbling you idiots." But he was free. We were right.
25:47>> Yeah, you know. Yeah, that's true.
25:49>> One of those things.
25:50>> Jacob will find a way to >> That's how he gets out of it. Yeah.
25:55>> Yeah. I'm I'm actually looking forward to the Jacob like, you know, more wide receivers are getting injured in San Francisco by the day. You know, first it
26:02was Kirk and then Pier and he's had excuses so far, but like you know, when Mike Evans gets hurt, I'm interested how
26:09he's going to spin that one. He's going to be like, I don't know, man. Demarcus Robinson's uh peripherals looked pretty pretty good last year. If you really
26:16look into it, he's going to find some some way to cope about um Stribbling that I'm just I'm looking forward to. Uh
26:23>> well, his cope might be they sign someone. I mean, do you think they bring in someone like a Debo or Keenan or
26:27whoever else?
26:29>> Yeah. See, seems very very possible they would bring in um I mean, Debo makes kind of like too much sense unless there
26:38there's bridges burned there um with with Shanahan or the front office. But uh yeah. Anyway, should we should we hit on uh I think the Brazil one is like the
26:48other obviously that's the other big but >> um >> yeah although I have a lot of him in pre-draft and um because he was live I
26:55thought to go round two and and then I I still have been taking him and like 13ish% postdraft on on Brazil. Um I've
27:06got some high stakes teams with him. So that that's this one definitely uh hurts me more than uh the Persaw injury, but
27:14just kind of how it plays. Uh you know, the way I was drafting, it's obviously completely random. And it's yeah, it's a
27:20bummer, but I think it's also uh something that might hurt the Panthers offense a little bit. Um, I I think probably ultimately probably
27:30like neutral for McMillan, but it definitely has me like a little bit less excited when I think through like the high high-end outcomes of what
27:40>> for me like when I thought like what if T-Mac is like a straightup had to have it player. I think that's more likely
27:47with Brazil on the field because I think that was them opening things up a little bit which is like the whole point of
27:54Chris Brazzle just the speed, you know?
27:57Yeah, I I agree with that. Um, and I think like if we're we're forcing fantasy takeaways out of this one, I
28:06agree with you. I I I don't think it moves T-Mac at all. I agree on the the ceiling point, but I don't think that's
28:11enough to like significantly move my ranking of him really. Um, I think that leg gets into the 20th round draftable
28:22mix on DK.
28:24Nothing else to say, but >> maybe on the on DK maybe. Yeah, it's it's not Yeah, on DK in the 20th round, that's a
28:34reasonably low bar.
28:36>> Yeah, >> it's a low it's a low bar, but um yeah, he I mean I'm not trying to hype up Lee
28:44yet. I I do think like his the offseason rumblings around him have been like at least positive and that like he's
28:52understands that like you see interviews with him and he like understands that things have not gone well and he's worked on his workout like the thing you
29:01don't want to see obviously is like the Germaine Burton thing where guys just like completely peace out of the league like legette at least is like seems to
29:08be putting his head down and and working hard from what I've seen but who knows really really bad first years and NFL.
29:15It's just like it's a routes bet because I I think I don't know. I think he's like pretty locked into routes and three
29:22wide receiver sets now at least to start the season >> probably. Yeah.
29:25>> So though that could I don't know they he's at the point where like nothing is nothing is safe with them based on how
29:31>> I mean they could sign somebody.
29:33>> They could >> like if I were if I were them I'd be seeing you know what the digs asking price is you know
29:39>> or what or whoever else. Uh, >> so yeah, that one's that one's a bummer.
29:46Now, we do have um the the other one, right, with uh Mitchell Evans is hurt. So, someone saying that they're they're Javon
29:55Sanders uh over over Xavier Legat. And Sanders is someone I've I've mixed in like a tiny bit, too. So, that that's something.
30:05Mitchell Evans, by the way, low low ankle sprain for him. So, I wouldn't really There was like the he got carded
30:10off thing. I think it turned out to be low low end. So >> I wouldn't adjust the Sanders stuff too much based on that. Um
30:20>> it's become kind of a bit but you know Mitchell Evans he was getting good good camp reporting before he got carded off.
30:26So >> that's true.
30:27>> I think he's he's in the mix there.
30:30>> Eric G all by the way getting uh a bunch of good camp reporting. Um >> did you hear you got hit by a truck and
30:36the truck got >> Yes.
30:37>> got hurt? Yeah. Literally, uh, >> yeah, [laughter] >> I think that it happened. Um, no, there was something where he he got hit by a
30:46vehicle like in Europe and then got up and was like like I'm ready and now I'm ready to go. Something like that.
30:52Yeah. Like like maniac behavior, which is kind of what you want to see from from a tight end, I think. So,
30:59>> yeah, that seems pretty >> that earned him 20 million guaranteed from Jim Harbaugh in like 2028. Just just that quote right there easily.
31:08Yeah, he's he's a future.
31:10>> Breaking news. The Chargers have just traded Charlie Kar for [laughter] >> such a football.
31:18>> Here here it is. He said, "Turns out."
31:21So, this is from Jay Morrison. Turns out Eric Gall's I'm back moment didn't come on the field or in training or in the
31:28training room. Was on the streets of Athens, Greece last month when he got hit and thrown by a vehicle. He got up
31:35and said, "Fuck yeah, I'm ready."
31:43>> What?
31:44Hit by a vehicle. Bullish. That's >> by a vehicle. Complimentary for Eric Hall. [laughter] >> What the hell?
31:55>> That's incredible.
31:57What a what a monster. That's That's wild.
32:01>> Yeah. I will say though, >> Sam's considering drafting three, maybe even four Eric All teams this year.
32:07>> Yeah.
32:09>> I'm going to have to get my my total drafts up to like two 2,000 for that.
32:13>> Yeah. [laughter] >> Yeah. No, I'll I'll draft them. I I'm drafting on sites that you've never even heard about. Um websites you can't even
32:25>> called the truck a little boy. Yeah, >> it it probably was like a little Greek truck, you know. It's not This wasn't
32:32like an F F350, I don't think.
32:35>> Yeah, I'm picturing >> I'm picturing he's like on a, you know, a vineyard and they got those like small little pickup trucks that are driving
32:43around there in Greece or something. He got hit by like carrying some some fruit or something on it. You got hit by one
32:49of those.
32:49>> Yeah. No, there's definitely fruit on it.
32:51>> There's no way there wasn't fruit on it.
32:53>> Yeah, there had to be. [laughter] Maybe some figs or something fell out of the truck. I don't know. Um >> I I don't think I have a whole whole lot
33:04of huge news items if you want to hop in. There's obviously other stuff on the margins, but I think those are probably
33:10the big ones. Um >> well, Tutin Bay Tutin is a guy we've talked about. Uh we're on a little bit of different camps with that. How Let me
33:20just get the the tootin the tootin bear check in. How you feeling? [laughter] You know the I have been secretly drafting team Well, you got [laughter]
33:32to stop doing this, Sam. You did it with Luther Bird. You want $2 million. That should That's it. [clears throat] You're
33:37not allowed to do it anymore.
33:38>> I'm not allowed to do it again.
33:39>> You took the bit to its logical conclusion. You know what I'm saying?
33:43>> I'm too I think at this point I'm too invested in the victory lap if I actually do think he's a good value.
33:53So, it's kind of like this this weird emotional hedge uh situation that I'm doing.
33:59>> But no, realistically, I I I don't know. You think that I mean, I know Chris Rodriguez like isn't practicing, but
34:09seems like he's set to return soon. Did I Did I read that wrong? Like I I haven't bumped up too much.
34:15>> He said he's trying to make it back week one. All you streamers secretly fade a player and then secretly take him. I
34:20stream with with the side where you literally see the players ranked as in the order of when I want to take them.
34:26So, you know, I think I think uh there's levels to this as far as the uh the transparency, you know, >> some people are turning into a bit.
34:37>> Yeah, some people are I don't even Yeah, I at some point I I I you know, devolved from being a fantasy
34:44analyst to just trying to to do funny bits. Um, [laughter] but no, Rodriguez, I I don't know. I I guess I'm sorry I'm kind of catching up on it
34:55now, but yeah, the quotes are like his plan is to be back week one. I mean, that to me that could mean a lot of
35:00things. That could mean like >> it means we're not rushing.
35:04>> This is what keeps happening to me, Sam.
35:05I don't want the 111 today. I want the 102. Give me Bashalt Tutin. Give me Malik Neighbor. All the good stuff's
35:11happening in the front half of the board right now. I'm in the back half exclusively. I literally was like I had
35:17six drafts going simultaneously last night after I got my daughter to bed and I was in the back half in all of them. I
35:23was like I entered the six specifically not to be here. What's going on?
35:26>> Yeah. I feel like the app can tell when you're you're kind of unethically.
35:31>> Some of them were draft kings. Both sites were conspiring.
35:35>> Yeah. [laughter] Yeah. Exactly. If you want it too bad, you know, like the guy who >> Yeah, you're right. has no idea the
35:42Malik the guy who has no idea like the Malik Neighbors >> um you know news even happened this entire offseason. He's been tuned out
35:50all off seasonason and he opened his underdog draft for the first time and he's like oh neighbors at pick 30 that
35:55seems pretty good. He's he's the guy who gets >> No, he he gets this draft slot and he's like I guess I'll take Neighbors at the
36:01311. Maybe I'll pick he comes back.
36:04>> Yeah, [laughter] >> exactly.
36:07>> Yeah.
36:07>> Yeah. We can get we can get dribbling though at um you know the one 130s so we're set up.
36:14>> Yeah 134 we can take dribbling. He won't be back at truly he won't come back. So even if he wants dribbling you're better
36:19off front half of the board right now.
36:22>> Yep. Um >> oh well >> well trying to think of what else.
36:30>> Fair underdog.
36:31>> It's a it's a that's fair situation for sure.
36:34Um, >> how do you feel about How do you feel about Marshon Lloyd?
36:39>> I'm drafting.
36:40>> He's a guy I've gotten more excited. I mean, I've kind of been in on him for a while, but the reporting there has been
36:45like pretty solid for him. He's healthy.
36:48>> You had a tweet where you said he was the best pick on the board, and I I couldn't tell the level of sarcasm. I
36:52knew there was some, but I couldn't dial it in. I was struggling to to place the right level on it.
36:58>> Yeah. Yeah. No, it was it that one was weirdly kind was genuine, but that's the good thing about my my Twitter voice is
37:05that I can claim that was parody at the end of the season when it >> if you you have a lot of parody
37:11deniability on that one.
37:13>> Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. It's Yeah.
37:14>> Yeah. Clearly that was a bit >> with Genty here. [laughter] >> Yeah. We we can take Genty. I um
37:28Yeah. Yeah. Let's just take him. I I I actually personally have been taking like the Cook, Barkley, Walker O over Genty, but uh I don't know. I
37:39They're They're all in the same tier to me and like I kind of want to mix it up.
37:42So, I am fine getting some Genty.
37:45>> Did you see the Genty uh interview?
37:49>> No.
37:50>> He's he So, he's not he's not eating candy anymore apparently. his arms.
37:55You know, sometimes we talk about players like, you know, this guy's like he he's too jacked or whatever. Marvin Harrison famously is too jacked.
38:03>> Yeah. Way too, >> but Genty might be too jacked. Like his biceps look absurd.
38:11Uh, obviously I'm kidding, but like just the the the view of it, I was like, "Good lord, man."
38:16>> But he stopped eating candy.
38:18>> He apparent I mean he's clearly been hitting the gym and uh you good with Walker. Yeah, let's do Walker.
38:24>> Apparently, you can tell he was a big candy guy because he said like, "Well, what was the go-to when you were eating
38:29candy?" And he's like, "Sour patch kids, dude." I was like, "Oh, [laughter] you really you really liked candy.
38:35>> You're an addict." Yeah.
38:37>> Yeah. [laughter] >> So, apparently he's he seems pretty pretty dialed in making sacrifices, make, you know, cutting out the Sour
38:44Patch Kids. That's that that shows he really wants it. So, you know, I think uh it's good to see he's at least uh
38:51locked in mentally on uh on the season and you know, to the extent that biceps helped as as a running back, he he's got
38:58that, too.
38:59>> Yep. Yeah. And uh yeah, he's I mean, I think bicep number one biceps probably good for a running back.
39:07Receiver less so. Running back, I'm I'm okay with it. Um but also, I this isn't like a very sophisticated point. I I
39:16just think like when we look back at the end of the season and we see this pocket of running backs, Genty, Cook, Barkley,
39:23Walker, Hampton, four out of five of those teams have easy pathways to being a top five scoring offense in the NFL.
39:31Another team is the Raiders. And I just worry that >> in half PPR, that's where like the downside potent I mean, we saw it last
39:38season. It's not like Genti is going to totally bust, but like the just very pedestrian mediocre season outcome just seems all too
39:48obvious to me with like the Raiders setup with a rookie quarterback and and Kirk Cousins and these other offenses I'm like damn the Chargers with Mike
39:55McDaniel could light the NFL on fire.
39:58Kenneth Walker like in more of a run-based scheme in Kansas City with Mahomes there still threatened defenses could absolutely go off. Like I just
40:06think there's the pass for these other teams that are so exciting from like a offensive environment perspective and with Genti you're kind of just relying
40:14on the like volume compiling thing which can totally work and I see it but that's just kind of >> you're relying on that but you're
40:23relying on you're relying on a three down profile volume and he's at you know at the end of the season we're like is he the best running back
40:34in the league? Is he the second best? Is he the third best? But he's one of the top he's a top five running back in the
40:39NFL without question in his prime. You know, it's a Bejon type bet.
40:45>> Uh yeah, but I >> he was that level of prospect for me, too.
40:49>> Yeah, he was. Yeah, I I just think like the explosiveness element relative to like Bejon and Gibbs. I get that Gent's profile was
41:00like elite from a volume perspective, elite >> from that, but I >> no like as a tackle breaker and, you know, breakaway stuff. He was awesome.
41:09He was awesome in college.
41:11>> Yeah. Well, I mean, Mickey Mouse, Blue Field, but besides all that. Um, >> um, we got the quarterbacks popping or
41:20not the quarterbacks, uh, the, uh, thought I was talking about Travis Hunter for a second. got the running backs and then Jaylen Waddle, Garrett
41:26Wilson, where you at?
41:27>> Um, probably. Yeah, probably running backs.
41:32Running back's fine.
41:35>> Yeah. And then we um >> Yeah, like 4x if we got it. But um
41:45>> I think I'd rather go >> Wadd if you go receiver. Yeah, I'd rather go Mc McMillan or or Wadd or
41:53Terry or, you know, they're all it's all the same if we're if we're being really honest.
41:58>> Um trying to think if there's tiebreers to any of these guys.
42:05I I like Waddle more than Garrett. Looks like the sidekick agrees. If you're good with that, >> I'm good with that.
42:12>> Cool.
42:13>> Yeah. Yeah, I think one of the things when you're in the 111 now is like you're just you're not very likely to
42:19get one of the the running backs from, you know, the Totin, Henderson, Judkins, Swift tier. Uh, and so that start from
42:30the 111 and 112 I think is even >> Tooten at 44.
42:35>> Tooten at 44. Yeah, you're not getting tootin on the way back. [laughter] Davis is doing his best to kill any
42:41remaining tootin value by saying it should be a second round pick.
42:44>> Yeah, it's kind of a it's kind of been an all-time runout for Davis closing line value so far this summer. I'm
42:51impressed.
42:53>> He he is doing well. You're right.
42:55>> Yeah, it's been it's been good.
42:58But um >> he because he was he was the neighbors bull of the group. He was um >> he was Yeah, he kind of flip-fpped on
43:08dribbling, I guess. But he I think he came around before the Pieraw injury, so he probably you can probably claim victory on that one.
43:17>> No one even really remembers when he came around, so I think he can claim victory.
43:22>> Yeah, [laughter] it's tough to Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
43:28>> Yeah, I think I think he can claim victory on that one. Um, yeah, Tootton, man.
43:34Toutin's one of those guys where I like tried really hard not to get too out over my skis on. I'm at 18% on both
43:41sides. Um, I have more high stakes exposure to them on DraftKings, but I've got high stakes exposure on both sides.
43:49And now I'm like, why the hell was I prudent? Why didn't I just do like I to I was a big dog. I specifically remember
43:57the sidekick had Quinchan Judkins over Toutin and I was like, I'm going to take Totin, but let me just dig into it
44:04first. And I like dug into it and I was like, uh, you know, I should probably just trust the Sims on this one. Mix it
44:10up. Take Quinn Sean Judkins. And now I think about the big dog sometimes. I'm like, that could have been Tooten, dude.
44:18>> Could have been Tooten said, you have Deshun Watson's RB1, so >> yeah, what could go wrong?
44:28I'm uh I'm weirdly invested in the Watson Browns camp battle. I've I've staked out a very I've never bought the Watson is like the presumed starter.
44:38I get that was like the national reporting but like >> that one smelled fishy to me from the start and I feel like it's kind of
44:45playing out that way where it's trending Sanders. But yeah, obviously it's still still kind of a tossup.
44:53Yeah. I mean, that seems like a pretty big tossup because they're both bad.
44:57>> Yeah. They're both bad.
44:58>> So, like it's a tossup much like their average throw.
45:04>> Yeah.
45:04>> You know what [laughter] I mean?
45:06>> Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. It could go >> either direction. Yeah. [laughter] >> Uh >> Watson is just more pathetic looking at
45:17this point. Like at least Shadur had some cool plays last year. It was all in all a disaster. But you have some some
45:24flashes where you're like this could Watson's just man just give it up type of thing. I'm sorry. What were you say?
45:30We're about to pick.
45:32>> No, we're on the clock. Carnell Tate here is the the top of the sidekick, which I'd be I'd be cool with. Lamar
45:38Jackson. Uh then Roma Dunce, Jordan Tyson.
45:42>> Yeah, I like Rome a little bit more than Tate, but either are fine with me.
45:47Either are fine.
45:48>> We can go Rome if you want. I think Rome might start to move up a little bit on >> that's what I'm thinking. Yeah,
45:55>> looking good. The foot feeling good.
45:58>> Um, it's possible Tate comes back and if not, Tyson would work out pretty well.
46:06>> Yeah. And I kind of like the pairing of uh >> like I like Rome with one of the rookies a little bit better than both the
46:13rookies, I think. So, >> and I like the Saints. I like the double down in the Saints bet, too. That's that's kind of fun. So,
46:19>> double down on the Saints and Tyson's been uh been healthy. He's been at camp >> uh doing everything. So, I was a little
46:27bit nervous about >> him. Not like that he wasn't going to have a good year, but you know, some of this stuff lingers and then it affects
46:34your ability to get up to speed with stuff and it's like we're doing the whole thing of like, well, you have to
46:39remember Jordan Tyson like didn't really start playing until week six, did a full-time role, blah blah blah. You know, >> I didn't want to do that. I don't want
46:47to live through that when I'm taking him in that season.
46:50>> I know. Yeah.
46:52>> So, it looks it looks much more >> Yeah. And a Dunes I Dunes I think I've just like seen the the ceiling like case
47:02clearly than a lot of people are. Like I feel like a lot of people are just like, "Oh, he's such a boring pick." Whatever.
47:08Like I mean, LA last year to start the season pre pre-injjury, I think I've shared this this stat before. Um but
47:17before he started appearing on the injury report with the foot and heel issues which eventually derailed a season, he was put on um IR for foot and
47:27heel issues. Weeks 1 to eight last year full half season sample, 26% target share, 23% targets for route run, 16 PPR
47:35points per game. That would be wide receiver nine on the season. I get it's a half season sample, you know, small
47:43sample stuff. I totally get it. But it's like he was their wide receiver one for the first half of the season last year
47:50in my opinion back half of the season derailed by injuries. Um you can argue it the other way where it's like he just
47:55got overtaken by the rookies and that's certainly a possibility but I think that's priced into his ADPs. He's cheaper than uh Burton and Lovelin. And
48:05for me, I just think like he still has the most proof of being a full-time wide receiver in a Ben Joff Johnson offense
48:13and producing over that eightgame sample in a way that Burden, to be honest, we never his per route stuff at Burden is
48:20awesome, but we never really saw like full-time stuff from him. So, I'm not I'm not anti- Burden. I don't think he's
48:26like a horrible pick, but I'm just like I'm pretty pretty solidly like in on Adun this year.
48:33I am too. I I mean, not I guess I'm not fully in on a dude Zeta's price, but I'm at like around 6%. You know, he's like
48:41like one of the guys I'm trying to draft. I don't always draft. Uh obviously, I'm a little underweight, >> but I like Watson there. I like Tate a
48:49lot. I like Tyson. I like trying to get the quarterbacks in that range. I'm trying to get more Tyler Warren, >> who I don't feel like I have enough of,
48:57and that makes it that makes it tougher.
49:00Um, Chuba Hub, by the way, I've done drafts today. He is falling like a rock. Uh, he might be top of the sidekick here. I'd
49:08be perfectly fine, not just to try to push him, but to not take him at all.
49:12He's he's a dude.
49:13>> We might have to adjust the ADP override on because I don't think this people I think that Brooks stuff, it's funny
49:21because Brooks hasn't risen a ton um like in the last day. It's not like I'm seeing Brooks go like right here for
49:28example. Um, that'd be really funny if you went right there.
49:31>> But, um, >> but yeah, it does seem like people are are getting skittish on on Chuba. What What do you see here?
49:38>> I I kind of like I kind of like Herbert here. Um, >> not Mahomes with with Walker.
49:45>> Oh, we have I forgot we had Walker. Um, I'm fine with with Mahomes. I guess it's Yeah, a little early for him, but we
49:52have to take him in one of these two picks anyways.
49:53>> We're going to take him in one of these two picks. And >> yeah, [clears throat] it kind of doesn't matter. Okay, fair point. I'm I'm good
49:57with that. I think quarterback kind of made sense here. I'm I'm like I'm kind of like wishy-washy on Jaden Reed. I
50:05don't think he's a bad pick. I don't love him. I'm I'm kind of with you on passing on on Hubard just thinking that
50:11he's going to keep dropping. Um so anyway, >> yeah, I'd probably be one of these receivers, Reed, uh DS, Addison. I know
50:23you're not in on like Godwin Addison guys. So maybe Reed or Downs are the guys that that you would like here. What
50:28do you think?
50:30>> Reed goes. So, uh, if we're going receiver be downs and then I would say Brooks who is at the top of the sidekick. I would I would
50:37probably just be Brooks. Um, because things do look fairly bullish on him.
50:42But, um, I prefer Downs, but I Okay.
50:46>> I'm I'm okay. Downs is fine. Okay.
50:47Brooks. Yeah. Um, >> yeah.
50:53Yeah, I don't think we need to do that.
50:54I feel like we we've talked about Brooks enough on the show. Maybe we can talk about about downs. What do you think on
50:59the Keenan like to like are you factoring in Keenan to the Colts at all in your rankings or how how are you
51:09thinking about that with Downs? Because that that does feel like the biggest like risk to him at this point is someone like Keenan signing there.
51:16that is we do have a little bit of concern that they might sign Keenan because there's been yeah there's been some buzz we would move like in a world
51:25where Keenan signs somewhere else I think with Downs would come up a little uh >> just because there there's there's a
51:33risk of Keenan Allen signing with the Colts specifically and that would just that would hurt Downs. So, it's not something that we have like we've come
51:44up on downs throughout the off seasonason. Things have been moving in a bullish direction for him. They're talking about him playing outside.
51:51Obviously, Alec Pierce's injury has been like we didn't even know he had an injury really. You know, when we're talking back when he's like signing this
51:59contract extension, everything. So, you're like, "Oh, okay. So, that he's got this injury. Oh, he might like miss a bunch of time in the summer, you know,
52:06like Downs could really like be playing a lot and be like really important for this team um all year, you know. So, that's
52:16all we've moved we've never like moved Josh Downs down on Keenan stuff, but there is that like kind of limiting thing of like is it time to go like all
52:24in on this dude being a smash? And it's it's harder to go all in if if Keenan Allen is is lurking as at least a kind
52:31of a downside possibility.
52:33>> Yeah, for sure. And I just think it I think it gets messy. It could be like I think you can argue it both ways. Like I
52:42could see Keenan just being a third down like slot only specialist, but that would hurt downs from a target for route
52:49run standpoint. I could also see them just preferring Keenan and two wide receiver sets.
52:53>> I could too for blocking purposes, right? Like it's a it's a bigger guy.
52:58>> Yeah. Yeah. Like >> it's not just about are you a better separator once you get to a certain point on the field. You got to run
53:05block. So >> it's >> Yeah.
53:07>> Yeah.
53:07>> That that's the concern with it for me.
53:09Uh someone pointed out that we could have pushed >> Mahomes around the turn and uh you know had our pick of the wide receivers.
53:18Um Sam and I had to agree on a pick and that's [laughter] like we >> also >> we were gonna auto into uh you know
53:26Michael Wilson or something.
53:28>> I like DS better than Yeah, [snorts] exactly. I like DS better than Jaden.
53:33Jaden Reed. I I just think there's >> the dreaming on the he's a full-time player in two wide receiver sets. Way
53:40easier receive for me for Reed.
53:44>> Wow.
53:45O, that's tough. Well, that guy got the massive value on Herbert and then immediately >> Was that an auto? If someone can pull
53:54back, was that did that clock actually count all the way down or was that someone being in on Pear? [groaning] >> His pick so far look like 80p autoing if
54:06I'm just looking.
54:07>> Someone in the chat can like literally hit rewind. Did we Did we get the full clock on that? That looked snappish.
54:12Yeah, that was icono. That did look snappish.
54:15>> Damn, that's >> snap pickaw at uh 102.
54:20>> Is this like FFPC where you can call call the kamish roll back?
54:23>> You can't call the commission. No roll back. Yeah.
54:26>> Damn.
54:27>> That's such a hilarious feature in FFPC.
54:30Um where you can just like cl I messed it up. Um can we can we just take that one back?
54:35>> Yeah. 15 seconds. Thank you. Zen Q7 went back and looked. Oh, we're on the clock.
54:41Uh, Meyers, Dos, Kyler, Mason at the top of the queue here. Bo Nicks as well with Wadd.
54:49You have a strong lane? I I might go Mason. I don't have a strong lane, though.
54:53>> We can go Mason.
54:54>> Yeah.
54:56Um, feel like he's he's moving up pretty pretty steadily. Uh, I guess you could argue with our running back build, the
55:08Jordan Mason profile, maybe less attractive, but um, >> yeah, maybe if we had more time to think through.
55:17>> We were going to add a fourth at some point did it there. So, I think it's fine. Uh, >> yeah.
55:23>> Yeah. Like and Nicks probably appeal to me. I I I've been I keep being off of Myers a little bit. I think I'm a little
55:30bit more nervous >> about him than the rest of the team. U actually know that I am. Um but yeah, so
55:37he's >> okay. He goes anyway.
55:40>> Yeah, the stack is stack is fun.
55:45>> Yeah, Nicks with Wadd.
55:46>> Um Oh, I would Yeah, Golden I know I know you guys are I think we've had the Golden conversation.
55:54I know you guys are lower lower on him.
55:56Um yeah. Um, trying to think. Oh, I had something else I was going to say on Mason. Oh, the uh like I think the thing
56:06with Mason is just like the seal. It does feel like the ultimate case where the the ceiling is like pretty capped on what you get for him,
56:17but the like base projection just feels like really solid solid to me at this point. Um, it's the ultimate like he
56:25might be the number one example of like best ball verse managed pick that I can think of this year where I can't imagine
56:33taking Mason unless I'm on like a zero RB team and I'm super desperate for early running back production or something like that. Like it's really
56:40really tough for me to get there with Mason. But yeah, kind of like an ultimate ultimate best ball pick I feel
56:46like.
56:46>> Yeah, for sure. Super fluous ad there in my opinion. Strong at the top already at running back. I mean, you certainly did
56:53not have to add Mason, but Mason was >> Yeah.
56:55>> What, like third or something on the sidekick. So, I think getting to me the just the feeling of it for me, what I
57:03wanted out of that turn was I I wanted a quarterback and a skill position player.
57:08And >> uh we get Knicks, you could argue for Meyers or Dos. Um but I think he's fine there from a
57:18roster construction perspective. I think it's totally fine. This is a team that's gonna have probably four running backs at the end.
57:25>> Yeah.
57:25>> And if we don't take Mason, we're looking at, you know, maybe Jones comes back because he still is on the board.
57:34>> Um but potentially, you know, we're looking at a running back for a little bit later, >> which would be fine. Like we want 3x
57:42running back to start, so we could be fine there. It's not a problem. But it it's I think you have a little bit more
57:46flexibility here to tackle on the fourth in the ninth than uh like if you don't like Mason then obviously don't do that.
57:53But roster construction wise, this is still like this kind of a classic hyper fragile build with uh with the ninth round fourth running back.
58:03Yep.
58:04Yeah. I I don't know. I we totally could have gone conception Golden if your inputs on Golden were high. Like we
58:11totally could have gone wide receiver there for sure. I think it was it was fine to play either way.
58:17>> Did you ever consider Golden there?
58:18Because in this university you chose Josh over Jaden Reed.
58:22>> Uh there's sometimes where I think about that stuff being fun like when you have um you know Brian Robinson on a Gibbs
58:29team or whatever and you're like this Gibbs is even more of a smash because you know Bejian misses games or whatever. But uh I have to like the
58:39player to begin with. So Goldman is not someone I'm taking a lot of. I wouldn't.
58:43It would be a very small tiebreaker and not even a tiebreaker as much as a like, oh, that's this player I was going to
58:49take anyway. This is a fun story now.
58:51Like I'm I'm enjoying this click I would have made regardless more >> kind of thing for me.
58:58>> Yeah, that makes sense. Uh Shahed here. I like I guess we still don't have a tight end, so Ferguson makes makes some sense for
59:07sure.
59:08Um, otherwise, yeah, Higgins >> Higgins has gotten a little bit of buzz.
59:15I'm not >> You could see I'm barely barely drafting Higgins, but >> he's past ADP >> and, uh, >> he Well, he doesn't he doesn't make it
59:25back, but >> we probably go tight end with the team at the turn also having no tight ends, right?
59:30>> I think so. Yeah, let's take Ferguson.
59:33>> Yeah. I mean, shout out to the sidekick there because like I just not thinking about tight end like and then it's like
59:39hey you need tight end J you know what I mean?
59:42>> Reminder. Yeah. Completely punt it off.
59:46>> Yeah.
59:48>> Cooper Hunter and then Straoud Digs.
59:50Daniel Jones is a stacking third quarterback option. Uh I don't think we need the third quarterback though. I' I'd be one of the receivers
60:01ton of but >> yeah I I also take a ton of them.
60:04>> Um >> do you have a preference?
60:08>> C probably Cooper. Probably Cooper.
60:12>> I Yeah, that one I feel like I'm I'm constantly faced with that decision because I'm not really into Jaylen McMillan too much. So if I need a wide
60:20receiver in this range, it's like Shahed Hunter Cooper like every time. I I just feel a little bit better about Cooper's
60:28uh Cooper's overall situation with all the confusion on the Jacksonville route participation, all of that.
60:36>> Totally. Totally.
60:37>> I do think it's kind of kind of close though between those two guys.
60:41>> I ultimately feel a little bit better about Cooper as well. And as you saw, I I my exposure I mean over I'm over 30%
60:47on Cooper. I think a first round pick who >> Yeah, he's he's got to be one of my highest drafted players, too. Let me
60:54check. Yeah, pretty pretty good college receiver. Goes in the first round. Uh looks to be their slot right away. Week one, they don't have a fourth receiver.
61:05I think it's Isaiah Williams. It's their fourth receiver. Like they Cooper's going to play a lot this year.
61:12>> Yeah.
61:12>> And he he's you're getting that Jets discount. You're getting a big old Jets discount on a guy who's going to play a
61:19lot. So >> yeah.
61:20>> And he might be really good.
61:22>> Like he might be really good. He's a first round pick.
61:25>> And the good thing about the Jets discount is they always exceed expectations every year. You know that about nothing. It can't get worse. The
61:33Jets, right? Like that. Something like that would never happen.
61:35>> The funny thing about the Jets discount is like if applied enough, it doesn't like Garrett Wilson smashed with on on a
61:43Zack Wilson team, right? Wasn't that a Zach Wilson team? Well, he smashed it as as a rookie and now he's like four years
61:50running on being a horrible pick if we're being for being honest.
61:54>> Okay. But he was more expensive than this as a rookie.
61:57>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, no, I get what you're saying. Yeah. Like the Jets discount if you're getting the
62:02cheap players can work. Um it hasn't treated one two turn Garrett Wilson to >> Well, that's not a Yeah. Right. That's a
62:10different topic though. This guy, right, to to have it be a smash. But I I really think we're getting that now. Cooper
62:17isn't Garrett Wilson. I He's not nearly as good a prospect as Garrett Wilson.
62:21Garrett Wilson even for like a good prospect. I think I'm a believer that he is he is a really good real life player
62:27stuck in a horrible situation. Um so I think this is like a a strong outcome for for the bet, the strength of the
62:35bet, you know, he was coming in.
62:38But like Cooper is cheaper and Garrett Wilson is like one of those types of hits that we like talked about for years
62:45after like oh my god Garrett Wilson was available. It wasn't quite Justin Jefferson when he was available in like the ninth round or whatever but it was
62:52it was like one of those I can't believe they let us have this guy at this price kind of hit. Uh the ceiling I think is
63:00lower on Cooper as this as a player, but man he's even cheaper. So, he's he's just he's a clear clear target.
63:08>> Yep. Stribbling, by the way, for for audio listeners, goes at 144 here. Uh, you know, two picks behind Hunter, one
63:15pick ahead of Jaylen Naylor. Again, that that's the range I think we were talking about at the top of the show. To totally
63:21still in on dribbling there. Um, not no longer like the smash pick I guess I thought he was, but I I feel very very
63:29good about stribbling still at that.
63:30>> He's perfectly fine there. Yeah. Uh, this was not the Party drafter. Where was the Perty drafter?
63:38Pertie. Oh, Pertie was So, Pertie tried to push him around the corner if he wanted him, which maybe he did because he took Jaylen Naylor. And yeah,
63:47I I would think I'd probably take Stribbling there over McMillan. I'm not drafting McMillan. So, easy enough for me to say.
63:53>> Same.
63:54>> Uh, we can go heavy on the Saints here and take Jawan Johnson if you're into that. Uh, anything else jump out? Yeah,
64:01him and Sadi. And maybe we can get maybe we can get both.
64:04>> Yeah, we can probably do both.
64:05>> Johnson has a higher ADP.
64:08>> Yeah, Darn. I guess if Sadique gets ripped off, Darnold is kind of interesting to me. I know we don't have him stacked,
64:16but just like think he's a good value at this spot. Um I I like some other guys popping at the top at wide receiver. Oh,
64:23Darnold goes. I like I like Boston.
64:26Um, I really do like Sadik or Samuel because Samuel's like one of those ones where if he if you want to bet on him signing
64:35with the 49ers or something like that, I mean, he would obviously jump up a ton.
64:40I have a lot of Samuel at 27%. But either >> Should we do Sam? We already have two rookie wide receivers. I know that's I'm
64:47sure that's factored into the Sims already, but like to me it feels like a veteran here is maybe the the call over
64:53over a rookie. Yeah, I'm I'm good with with Samuel. I have a ton of them. I think the >> the thing with Samuel is like you have
65:00with us like we're we're simming out, you know, >> what we think is most likely based on what we think is most likely to happen
65:07today. But like if you kind of like I'm feeling like I want to bet that Debo Samuel lands with the 49ers because
65:14Ricky Pearl is going to get surgery.
65:18We don't have Debo Samuel as a 49er. We would race him if he was a 49er. You know what I mean? So
65:24>> that's a little if you're feeling frisky, >> you can always now like you are just straight up like you might be kind of if
65:31we're sort of the book there. I think we've said a good line, you know. I think the inputs are good for what we
65:37know about Debo Samuel. So you are just kind of betting it. But certainly if he were to land on the 49ers, we we would
65:43move him up.
65:44>> Mhm. This comment in the chat like how many more fantasy points will Fry Youth have over Sadiq? I I like I I totally
65:53get what that person is is saying. I just think it misses like the range of outcomes so much with Sadi and you can
66:03say best the highend ceiling stuff maybe like matters [snorts] less. You need to consider floor blah blah blah. I get that. But like Sadique
66:11>> he has some floor in a way.
66:14>> Yeah.
66:14>> For this price I think Sadique actually has floor.
66:17>> I I agree. like a guy getting drafted in the first round at like he was what top 20 pick 19 something like that. Those
66:26guys don't >> Yeah, maybe even earlier. Those guys don't get red shirted their rookie year or it is very rare that that they do.
66:37Could he Could he have a 50% route participation in a frustrating committee with Taylor? Sure.
66:43>> But >> 16th overall for City.
66:46>> 16th overall. That's like ex insanely good draft capital. You look at age adjusted production for him. I know his raw production wasn't good, but his age
66:53adjusted production for an early declared tight end actually is is quite solid. Better at his age, age adjusted production than Tyler Warren, Trey
67:01McBride. Um, obviously we didn't see the, you know, senior year for Sadique, so we'll never know how it would have gone in college, but he's also the best
67:09tight end in terms of an athlete, the the sorry, the most athletic tight end.
67:14>> He's literally the most athletic tight end ever. ever and at the position where athleticism matters the most. It's like we need to be aware of what potential
67:23outlier he he could be. Like I I just think people are really underrating the ceiling with with him.
67:29>> Yeah. I also think that you can build rooms with Sadiq where like like maybe frankly you have a Frier Mouth or you have you know this room
67:38would be an example Ferguson and Johnson where you do have a Sadique as part of that room >> he can smash by only producing you know
67:48in certain weeks probably more towards the end of the season they're talking about kind of easing him in ramping him up they have Mason Taylor there he's not
67:55they don't have to get him on the field in a a big time role right right away if they don't want to But he was the 16th
68:01overall pick and I think they have plans to utilize him throughout the year when if he was I was fading Sadiq like I used
68:08to be a Sadi fader and then the price fell. if you're if you have to take him over, you know, a Gddard or or a
68:17Ferguson, those types of dudes, I don't think that's good because like I think Ferguson's going to be someone who hits my lineup a bunch
68:25throughout the year.
68:27>> But Sadique is now in a price where I can kind of just play on him to be, you know, a contributor from time to time.
68:34We're on the clock. K. Do is the top of the the sidekick, which I think is probably a good enough pick, but anyone
68:39else jump?
68:40>> Oh, yeah. I I I like I like Kate Dton.
68:43>> Yeah.
68:44>> I mean, in the way that someone likes Kate Dton.
68:46>> Yeah. In the way someone would like Kate Dton. [laughter] >> It's the least like of all time. Yeah.
68:52>> But like, you know, Kottton is going to run like all the routes at tight end for a pretty good offense. So,
68:59>> yeah, he's going to outscore Kenyon Sadique easily.
69:02>> He's going to easily outscore Kenyan Sadique.
69:06>> Believe he gave us Kate Hotton.
69:08>> Yeah. What were you guys thinking?
69:09>> Yeah. Come on. [laughter] >> He probably is going to outscore Kenyon.
69:13>> Yeah, now he Well, let's be honest. He's gonna He totally Sadique. Um >> Jeremy Bernard at top of the the
69:20sidekick here. We've got a couple other receivers. Gino Smith.
69:23>> Uhhuh.
69:24>> What jumps out? [snorts and sighs] >> I kind of like Mitchell here. I know he's a little further down. AD.
69:31>> All right, let's do it. Just like I know we already have Cooper. Um, but I kind of like the the teammate pairing there.
69:41Obviously, it's it's probably that like one of them is a solid hit and the other one's a disappointment, but I think
69:46that's like can actually be kind of okay in in baseball. And you never know.
69:50>> Pick 134, pick 182.
69:53>> I mean, I think we'd probably be okay if we get a good hit out of one of those two picks. We're probably feeling pretty
69:58good.
69:59>> Yep. Yeah. it sets up if sometimes Gino like really falls in these two like he has a big range on his ADP. I think that
70:07could be an option next time around.
70:09We'll we'll see. Um >> for sure >> cuz I think we're I mean I feel pretty good at running back of a value like if
70:17Lloyd comes Kenyon City is going to be Yeah. Can be the tight end 47 but the tight end four when the Kade called the money weeks.
70:27Yeah. No, that's the thesis. I've always >> That is a thesis. Yeah, >> that's why I'm drafting Sadique.
70:34>> Yeah, I've been um the Jeremy Bernard thing I I still am like into, but I think I've like I've kind of got more and more in my head
70:44over time that the Steelers are going to be 12 12 personnel base base offense.
70:51Um, and it's going to be tougher for Bernard to >> Bernard's been playing a little bit on the outside some too, though from from
70:58what I understand. So, it's not I don't think he's like necessarily slot limited. I think it would make the most sense for him to start in the slot. I'm
71:05I'm to the point where when I see the Roman Wilson stuff.
71:09>> I I in my head I read it as Jeremy Bernard is uh playing behind Roman Wilson bullish [laughter] like
71:19>> Yeah. Like tell me all about Roman Wilson. Like Roman Wilson, you know, ran the wrong route with Aaron Rogers again.
71:27Like yes, this is like I honestly don't even want Bernard to be out there yet.
71:31Just have like Rogers lose his [ __ ] at Wilson [laughter] so many times. So that if Bernard struggles early on, they
71:38don't they're like, "Yeah, well, we're not playing Roman Wilson." We tried that in uh in July and we didn't like >> You know what? the the thing I have in
71:46the back, this is like total um pattern matching, like not really really bad fantasy advice, so don't don't take this seriously. But what I have in the back
71:54of my head with Jeremy Bernard is like >> I need a banner that says bad bad fantasy advice. Do not listen.
72:00>> Really bad really bad fantasy advice to you. Do not do not take this. But like winnow wide receivers like his like um
72:09trait his standout trait that people talk about is his like safety and his reliability. It makes me think of Jalen Pulk now cuz that was that Jalen Pulk
72:20he's he doesn't have a high upside profile but he's such a solid player.
72:23He's a professional. He can do a little bit of everything and then he's out of the NFL and like part I have that a
72:29little bit in the back of my head with Jeremy Bernard. It's like, yeah, he's no, he's not good at anything, but he's
72:34going to be like okay at everything.
72:35Well, what that can that can be its own type of scary in the NFL, you know what I mean?
72:41>> Um, I think we do Gino here.
72:43>> Gino, man, let's go.
72:44>> Let's do it. Yeah, >> but yeah, that's that's bad.
72:48>> Oh, we should have done We should have pushed him. This guy has three quarterbacks, so we could have taken our
72:52pick of the the receivers. We didn't we two times we haven't played the turns correctly.
72:56>> Oh, we could have got Christian Kirk and >> we could have got Christian Kirk.
73:00could have gotten anyone we wanted.
73:01Christian Kirk is honestly a better pick with the the Piol stuff. I mean, I know he's got a calf strain, but
73:07>> yeah.
73:09>> Um, do you do you take >> Well, Rome didn't fall in a day, by the way. Be a beautiful >> Yeah. [gasps]
73:15>> Do you take Taekquin Thornton at all? Is that off your board?
73:18>> Not really. Pat Bryan I would have thrown out there. I >> Okay.
73:22>> I would kind of be down to take Kirk if you want.
73:28Sure. [sighs] I guess I hate it. But >> I hate it, too. But if they don't say like if they don't sign Debo,
73:38one of these two picks is is probably pretty [laughter] pretty damn good. We did it twice. We >> did it twice. Yeah. Yeah. No, we
73:46guaranteed two dead roster spots. That's always what you want to do in the last four picks receiver.
73:51>> Well, not dead. I mean, Debo could sign somewhere else and Kirk could be the the smash, you know.
73:57Kirk. I mean, I I I haven't read closely on his injury. I I always fear like calf strain turns into >> for sure
74:06>> something worse than calf strain. But you're right that this is going to be if we get he's back at practice in three
74:13weeks and it's like, oh, he's starter in two wide receiver sets while dribbling learns offense.
74:19I mean, he's going to go >> crash the plane. We could have taken Pat Bryant sacked with uh with Nicks and
74:24then still gotten Gino. So, if you wanted Bryant, then that was a mistake.
74:28If you didn't want Brian, then it doesn't matter.
74:30>> Um, >> I take a lot of Pat Bryan, so I'm I'm okay with that.
74:36>> Roman Wilson equals BC Johnson. That's kind of what I was thinking. I literally was going to uh like tweet about how
74:42Roman Wilson was BC Johnson. And then I just it like flashed in my head that like people coming at me because they're
74:48like, "This this dude thinks that Jeremy Bernard is Justin Jefferson, dude. What a clown." I was like, and then I'd get a little mad. I'd be like,
74:57obviously it's not what I was saying, but like it'd still make me a little mad. And I just >> I I just like bedrun that whole reality
75:05and was like, actually, I don't want that in my life. And then I just didn't tweet.
75:09>> Yeah, that reality involves you like typing out a response to like quote >> and like what am I doing? Like this guy's
75:18just trolling me and I'm taking the bait and then but it's still now I'm pissed off that I >> I'm still mad.
75:23>> I'm still mad. Yeah. So I just didn't say but I just just know that I am mad like as if a person did do that to me.
75:31Like I have anger towards a person who doesn't exist. [laughter] >> I mean they do exist didn't do do it.
75:37You know what I mean? Like I'm sure that person was out there and would have done it.
75:41>> But >> yeah.
75:42>> Anyway, >> they should have a a feature on on Twitter where you can like send a tweet that you you press send but it just goes
75:50into the ether. So you kind of you get it out of your system, but you don't have to deal with the the repercussions
75:55of, you know, >> Yeah. What I was going to suggest is that there be a Twitter where you send a tweet and then only bots reply, so you
76:03don't have to deal with real real people trolling you, but that just is Twitter.
76:06>> Yeah. No, that is that's just how how Twitter works now. So >> it's a real website. [laughter] >> It's a beautiful It's beautiful what
76:14they >> Yeah. No notes. No on uh >> Twitter for you algorithm is poof perfect. Um >> yeah, >> I mean
76:22>> what else would I what else would I want to see besides Marvin Harrison drop different angles of Marvin Harrison dropping a pass at practice? Like every
76:30single angle of it.
76:32>> Are you logged in on Sacrilegious's account? I thought he wasn't on Twitter.
76:36>> You guys sharing a login?
76:37>> We do. We we we share the premium um because you know we can't afford it all on our own. So, we split that split that
76:45subscription. Um, but uh yeah, I uh it's uh it's been a lot of Marvin Harrison.
76:53I think this that that is one where it's not a storyline, but that maybe it's my algorithm as a Marvin Harrison Jr.
77:00hater. It's targeted at me. That's possible. But I don't know if your algorithm has been flooded with Marvin Harrison Jr. FUD of him Oh, yeah.
77:07looking bad at practice. He's one of the guys. I I went on a little mini rant about this on ship chasing, but
77:13basically it's very clear that, you know, people know they can get engagement on Marvin Harrison FU. I mean, I'm I'm shocked you're not
77:20tweeting about him more because you you get a lot a lot of farmers and engagement and it's just like the pylons of like, you know,
77:29just people talking about like his mental, you know, how locked in he is mentally and stuff because he was talking about how he only looks at the
77:37negatives with his dad kind of being hard on him basically. I mean, that I was like, damn, dude, that seems like
77:43>> kind of sucks. But it didn't make me feel like he's spiraling and unable to play football. I'm like, he seems like
77:51he is a perfectionist raised by a perfectionist and uh >> yeah, >> maybe find some ways to add joy to your
77:58life, but like also you might be really good at football this year because you you're really like I don't know, you
78:03know, like it wasn't it didn't lead me to have conclusions about oh [ __ ] he's not going to be able to play football.
78:08like it just it's a pile on that people I think are engaging on at Twitter because they know it will drive it will
78:15be engaged with and that's literally the the whole thing that's wrong with like like all of social media but particularly Twitter is like you you get
78:24like paid to get it like replies like that's how the alco works is like how can you get the most possible replies
78:31>> so um if you look at like I check out um uh 32 beat writers I I'll shout them out. They've had, you
78:40know, reports up there on Marvin Harrison that are like Marvin Harrison just had like an awesome day of practice. Uh completely responded like
78:49exactly the way you would want from dropping some passes yesterday. Looked super locked in. So, it's not like I'm just like I'm like I think that's
78:56probably more actionable. We didn't move Aron Harrison up on that or anything, but I'm like, of the two things, I I'm
79:02gonna I'm gonna bet on like some more nuanced reporting than him dropping a a pass on Twitter.
79:10>> Yeah, it's it has become a pileon. And, you know, I I would never tweet something like [laughter] Arvin Harrison Jr. the worst first round
79:22fantasy pick since Kenyon Drake and have Kenyon Drake quote tweet that. um tweet something like that has never happened to me personally cuz I don't engage in
79:31that.
79:32>> Wait, did that happen? I didn't see this.
79:34>> Yeah. No, Kenyon. Yeah. Kenyon Drake.
79:36Kenyon. Uh >> Yeah. Yeah.
79:38>> What? He >> I tweeted >> Oh my god. I gotta find this.
79:42>> Yeah. Wait, let me let me dig it up. Um >> yeah, that's amazing.
79:48>> He responded with the like, you know, the 50 cent gift that's like >> the [ __ ] like what did I do? Yeah.
79:56>> Yeah. What did I do? Yeah, he he responded with that.
79:59>> Um, >> that's so good, dude.
80:01>> That was >> You got to pull this up. This is like peak. This is peak Sam Sherman Twitter right now.
80:06>> Yeah, >> you actually got Kenyon Drake.
80:12>> What the hell? What is What is this life, man? [laughter] >> I know. That's the I think that's one of
80:19the few times Oh, wait. I found the tweet. Let me see if I can find the quote tweet.
80:24Um, let let me just uh while you do that, I'll I'll share this. Uh, this is from the source was Johnny Venerable
80:32um on the what is this? This is some Cardinals [clears throat] podcast, I guess. Anyway, so he said after drawing attention for a drop pass the previous
80:44day, Marvin Harrison Jr. responded exactly how the Cardinals hoped he would. He put together one of his strongest practices of camp,
80:48consistently creating separation comfortable within Michael Moore's offense. Coaches praised the way he immediately bounced back after the earlier mistake, noting that he caught
80:55his next opportunity over the middle and never let the drop linger mentally.
80:59Harrison also drew a key defensive penalty on Will Johnson during the team the first team's two-minute drill, helping set up a touchdown drive and
81:05continue to show the route running that has allowed him to get open throughout camp.
81:10>> Seems pretty bullish.
81:11>> Seems pretty good.
81:13>> Who gives a [ __ ] Like it's not like Marvin we're not Marvin Harrison's like one of those guys like I don't really
81:19care about I guess if you told me that the types of routes you were run he's running are like really >> great or something maybe but like I kind
81:28of know the only thing that can change on Marvin Harrison significantly for me this summer is like assuming he's healthy and
81:35everything is the price like and make them cheap. Make them cheap. If you're if you think uh the Twitter videos matter so much, then you're not allowed
81:43to draft him. That's that's my new take.
81:45Uh actually, it's my take from yesterday from ship chasing, but whatever.
81:48>> Yeah, you can recycle takes on.
81:50>> It's a recycled new take. It's just it's like new. It's I've recycled it.
81:55>> Um >> do you have >> as long as it's like hour I I ped it to you in the private chat, but as long as
82:00it's an a take like two hours plus into the video on on ship chasing, you know.
82:05>> Oh, it's way past that.
82:07>> Yeah. No, [laughter] people are still listen. I'm not saying I'm not listening, but you're not two hours plus you're not really listening
82:13at that point. It's kind of just back background noise in in your head. So, uh yeah.
82:18>> So, you actually had Marvin Harrison Jr.
82:21is comfortably the worst first round fantasy pick since Kenyan Drake's 202 what he said [ __ ] me for. [laughter]
82:31Dude, I can't believe this.
82:34I completely missed it.
82:36>> Yeah. Now, this is good. I think I got this was one of my better tweets. It got like whatever 9,000 likes or something
82:42and then Kenyon Drake uh just just dunked on me big time. [gasps] >> I don't even know if he dunked on you.
82:48You dunked on him and he's like, "Why did you dunk on me?"
82:51>> Yeah, that's Yeah, maybe maybe I just dunked on him and this is his reaction to it. But >> yeah, it seems to me like he just had a
82:59funny reaction to you calling him out.
83:05Also, it's not Kenyon Drake's fault that he was going in the early second, late first round 2020 drafts.
83:11>> He didn't decide what what his ADP was.
83:14>> Yeah, I do feel like I have had that thought where I was like I'm I'm in my tweets my the target person I'm trying
83:21to make fun of is the Marvin Harrison, you know, turn drafter. But then I'm just like obviously these players are checking social media and seeing [ __ ]
83:30like this and that sucks for them. So, >> am I going to stop doing it? I'm trying to tone it back a little. Um cuz I do
83:39seriously do think it's like if you're an NFL player, you're probably like searching your name on Twitter after games and that that probably does kind
83:47of suck a lot. Um but I the Marvin like Marvin Harrison's interview he was like yeah he was like I'm a perfectionist. My
83:55dad raised me this way. And people quot you were like oh his confidence is shot.
83:59Like there's no chance he's coming back.
84:01Like that's not what the interview was like at all.
84:02>> That's not what happened at all.
84:04>> His confidence wasn't shot. He was just like >> this the way I live my life.
84:08>> Like he seems a little like Kendall Roy, but like [laughter] >> Kendall Royy's problem wasn't confidence. You know what I mean? Like
84:16there's a little bit of like man this seems like this guy got raised in a way that didn't like maximize his enjoyment
84:23of what he now does professionally.
84:26>> Yeah. But, you know, he is he did get drafted in the top five of the NFL draft, so >> he got good at football.
84:34>> Uh, but, you know, whatever. That's doesn't see it's like one of those things where I'm like I kind of felt bad
84:37for Marvin Harrison listening to that, but also I didn't lower him in my rankings, >> you know.
84:43>> Yeah. I mean, that would be >> that would be dumb.
84:46>> It would be pretty dumb. Uh, all right.
84:49We got to get out of here. Appreciate you joining me, Sam. Uh we'll be back here next week for another another
84:55episode of That's Fair. Um looking forward to seeing anyone who's going to be out in Austin with us for the ship
85:01chasing meetup this weekend. Uh and then I'll be back I think Monday. I actually need to check with Pete to to see if
85:08he's one doing Best Breakfast. Do you know if he is?
85:11>> I haven't heard one way or another, so I'm not sure.
85:14>> All right. Well, we may be on Best Breakfast next Monday, but we'll definitely be back here next Thursday for That's Fair. A ton of stuff. I mean,
85:21this is now we're in the heart of things. We're going to know a lot more things, a lot more things we thought
85:25were right are going to be wrong. And some things that we uh wanted to be right about, we'll be right about, but
85:30for different reasons than we thought by this time next week. So, yeah, lots more stuff to learn over the next week of
85:36training camp. Excited to talk to you guys about it then. Thanks for watching.
85:39See you later.
