Javonte Williams
NegativeValue0:00
The source is skeptical of Javonte Williams, noting a lack of explosiveness after the catch and a high risk of losing his receiving role to teammates Jalil McLaughlin and Tyler Badie; he is only considered a target if he falls past his current ADP.
Insight pageJosh Jacobs
NegativeValue1:42
The source views Josh Jacobs as a strong value at his ADP of 41, arguing that the 95% probability of him playing makes him a worthwhile bet despite the tail-end downside risk of a potential suspension.

0:00Javonte, I've been taking if he falls a
0:01little bit past ADP. It sounds like I'm
0:04probably a little bit lower on him than
0:06you are.
0:07Just because, man, like zooming out,
0:10this was a guy that like we weren't
0:13sure was worthy of a 12th round pick
0:16last year when the alternatives were
0:18Miles Sanders and, you know, a rookie in
0:20Jayden Blue. And obviously we were way
0:22wrong about that. We should have been
0:24higher on Javonte, but
0:26that feels like the ultimate Denzo, I
0:29mean, again, fast forward 2 years back
0:31and he couldn't, you know, make a
0:34meaningful contribution next to guys
0:36like Jalil McLaughlin, Tyler Badie, et
0:40cetera.
0:42I I think also he he is still very
0:44limited in some facets of the game. Like
0:47as a receiver, he's big enough to be on
0:48the field in in pass pro and like he can
0:50catch the ball, but he's like so
0:52unexplosive after the catch that
0:54naturally you would think he might lose
0:56some of that role, too. So,
0:59man, I've I've I've struggled I've
1:00struggled with both. I think I think
1:02with Jacobs for me it's like more about
1:04the tail downside risk of the suspension
1:08that is keeping me off of him, but um
1:11I I don't disagree that like if he is
1:13just healthy and doesn't get suspended,
1:15like that ADP of 41
1:18is just like a good value. And maybe if
1:21I was doing like a higher higher volume
1:22of drafts like you are, I would just
1:24like come around to that mindset of
1:26like, "Hey, I get it and 5% of the time
1:28you get a a zero for Josh Jacobs."
1:31So low that like you just got to take
1:33him and play for the 95% of other
1:35scenarios and it's it's going to be
1:36fine, right? Um so
1:38>> Of the two, Jacobs is the one I I
1:41you know, I when I think about like,
1:43"Okay, how does this work?"
1:45Javonte, it's like, "Okay, it works
1:47because it was hard to find running back
1:48production later and he gave me enough
1:50and and I've hit on some wide receivers
1:52and blah blah blah."
1:54Jacobs, I'm like, uh because he scored
1:57like he should have been drafted in the
1:58208 and I got him at the 408.
2:01>> Yeah.
2:02>> You know, it's just like simpler.
2:04It's just like he's, you know,
2:06I would I would bet on Jacobs to
2:08outscore Javonte if they both play 17
2:10games and
2:12um
2:13he's going where he is cuz he might not
2:14play 17 games, but it seems more and
2:16more likely that that he will, even
2:18though it's
2:19probably never going to be 100%.
