Keaton Mitchell

NegativeUsage2:20

Keaton Mitchell is viewed as an explosive asset whose fantasy value is rising, particularly if the team increases his target share. While his small stature makes a full backfield takeover unlikely, his explosive playmaking ability could keep him involved as a consistent 'hot hand' option, though his current 10th-round ADP is considered a high price to pay.

Omarion Hampton

NegativeValue2:06

Despite being viewed as a more talented back than Kimani Vidal, there is concern regarding Omarion Hampton's fantasy price. The expectation that he could become a clear workhorse is dampened by the team's committee usage, leading to a downward adjustment in his draft valuation.

Raheem Mostert

Mike McDaniel confirmed a committee approach for the Miami backfield, stating he intends to use all three running backs in every game. While McDaniel noted he is willing to ride a 'hot hand' if a player is in the zone, the specific usage ratio will fluctuate based on the opponent and game plan, making Mostert's weekly volume unpredictable.

0:00When this one's set the internet's
0:02ablaze with Mike McDaniel on August 10th
0:07being asked, "Hey, is Raheem Mostert a
0:09guy who could be a workhorse back or do
0:11you see a shared workload or a hot hand
0:15backfield?" McDaniel said, "That's good
0:16news and bad news fantasy owners."
0:19He sniffed this out as an obvious
0:21fantasy football question. He said the
0:23good news
0:24>> I don't like that. I don't like him
0:25talking directly to us. It breaks the
0:26fourth wall. It's not [laughter] cool.
0:29>> he actually did like a full turn to to a
0:31different camera
0:32>> [laughter]
0:32>> that you see on like late night
0:34television. He said, "The good news is
0:36that I see all three of those guys
0:38producing at a very high level. The bad
0:40news is that I can't tell you which
0:43games those are."
0:45McDaniel's a a best ball bro.
0:47I think there's going to be
0:49opportunities
0:50>> He's a better in best ball coach.
0:51>> Yeah.
0:53>> [laughter]
0:53>> He said, "I think there's going to be
0:54opportunities for him to have a ton of
0:56touches. I like to have backs be fresh,
0:59but I'm also not very comfortable to
1:01take a guy out when I can tell he's in
1:03the zone. So, you kind of play hot hand
1:06once you're in the games, but
1:08specifically I'll use all three of those
1:11guys probably every game. The relative
1:14ratio will be based on opponent and what
1:16we're asking the guys to do."
1:18>> He is willing to commit to a running
1:21back if that guy is clearly the best
1:23running back from a talent perspective.
1:25Um
1:26and that's been I think
1:29the real hope for Hampton is that he
1:32becomes clearly that guy. And compared
1:35to Vidal, he is. Like he's a lot better
1:38than Vidal. I think the concern is that
1:40that Mitchell is explosive, you know,
1:43and if they're going to throw to him
1:45more
1:46then that might actually turn out pretty
1:48well
1:49and
1:51might lead to him being the hot hand in
1:54the sense that he's he's not going to go
1:56away. I don't think he would be
2:00you know, someone who's going to be able
2:01to like take over the backfield. He's a
2:02very small back and Hampton can play,
2:05but it does make me concerned with
2:07Hampton's price.
2:09Uh and Mitchell continues to rise. So,
2:11even though like I'm more interested in
2:14Mitchell now than I was earlier, he just
2:17went in the 10th round of a draft I did
2:19with Pete.
2:20Um
2:21it's a lot to pay. So, it's more the big
2:23thing for me that like I'm doing in
2:25drafts right now is
2:28moving down Hampton a little bit.
