A.J. Brown

NegativeUsage43:22

The source notes that AJ Brown's presence on the Eagles has historically impacted DeVonta Smith's target share, though they believe Smith will still perform as an above-average WR1.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveValue10:42

The source expresses a lack of belief in Braelon Allen, noting they are no longer on his bandwagon. Allen is expected to be involved in a backfield committee fight throughout the season, making him a less desirable target compared to other options like Bucky Irving.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeValue32:12

The source notes that Brian Thomas Jr.'s ADP was trending toward an out-of-control level in the fourth round while he was injured, but the price has since stabilized.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveValue13:25

Bucky Irving is viewed favorably by the source, who explicitly voted for him over Braelon Allen in a head-to-head comparison; the source notes his draft value is a topic of significant interest among analysts and uses him as a stylistic comparison for Tyrone Tracy Jr. regarding pass-catching ability and versatility.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

NegativeUsage12:07

Chris Rodriguez Jr. is identified as a direct competitor for goal-line carries against Tyjae Spears and is also competing for touches in the Giants backfield. However, he is not viewed as a significant threat to the primary back's overall workload.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

NegativeRole4:08

Pat Daugherty describes Chuba Hubbard as a replacement-level player whose fantasy value is significantly threatened by the Panthers' push for superior talent. While previously viewed as a starter, the prospect of a committee backfield in Week 1 is considered 'horrible' for his outlook, as the team's long-term plan clearly favors Jonathan Brooks.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeValue34:08

David Montgomery is cited as a high-volume, safer alternative to TreVeyon Henderson in the same draft range, representing the opportunity cost of drafting a more volatile player.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

PositiveValue40:06

The source considers De'Von Achane a 'model-breaking' and special player who should be a first-round pick despite his current ADP; while acknowledging concerns about a bottom-tier offensive line and the loss of a creative offensive mind, the source argues that predicting historically bad offenses is difficult and Achane's individual talent provides a high floor and ceiling.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveValue31:29

The source is betting on Jaylen Warren at a discount, asserting that he is clearly the superior player compared to Najee Harris despite injury concerns keeping his price down.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeProjection61:55

The source expresses concern regarding Jonathan Taylor's health longevity and the Colts' offensive environment. Despite acknowledging his 48% advance rate last year, the source worries Taylor is being drafted at his absolute ceiling and doubts his ability to maintain strong health.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveRole2:38

Pat Daugherty views drafting Jonathan Brooks as an RB3 as a logical move, driven by the Panthers' coaching staff's consistent 'contribute now' stance rather than external hype. Despite his two-year injury history and limited practice time, the team's long-term plan signals he is intended to be the starter by season's end. While his ADP has risen to the fifth round (5.03), creating some floor concerns due to potential early-season committee usage, he is still viewed as a high-ceiling asset who should be prioritized over players like Bucky Irving, Cam Akers, and Braelon Allen.

Insight page
PositiveRole9:06

The Panthers' coaching staff has remained consistently bullish on Jonathon Brooks, never wavering from their 'contribute now' stance despite his limited practice time and two-year injury history, which is a highly positive indicator for his immediate role. The source notes that while Brooks carries a high-ceiling profile, his current ADP range presents floor concerns due to his status in a committee backfield, which is suboptimal for his price point.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeValue10:34

Josh Jacobs is used as a reference point for draft positioning, with the source noting that he was falling in drafts, which allowed Jonathan Brooks to be selected ahead of him.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveBreakout65:21

The source is bullish on Kenneth Walker after developing a 'legendary upside' scenario for him; the source admits to being underweight on him on DraftKings and intends to increase exposure.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeUsage42:01

The source questions whether Malik Willis can support De'Von Achane with four to five receptions per game, with the consensus leaning toward a more conservative projection of three to four receptions.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveBreakout2:39

Pat Daugherty identifies MarShawn Lloyd as a potential league-winning fantasy asset, suggesting his current market valuation makes him an attractive target.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveBreakout44:12

The source expresses high interest in Marvin Harrison Jr. for the upcoming season, citing his impressive rookie performance and the team's increased usage of him in the slot as indicators of a year-two ceiling.

Insight page

Najee Harris

PositiveValue22:05

The source characterizes Najee Harris as an 'amazing pick' and a high-value target, noting that analysts are converging on him; he is viewed as a value play because he is locked in as the Steelers' starting running back, providing a cheap source of guaranteed volume and pass-protection utility.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveValue36:06

The source admits to being too bearish on Parker Washington, now viewing him as a necessary target because he fits the profile of the precise, underneath receiver that Trevor Lawrence needs to succeed; even at an ADP of 50.7, he remains a target compared to earlier draft options.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeUsage16:07

The source compares Stevenson to Travis Etienne, noting that his late-season phase-out was likely a situational outlier caused by team-wide injuries and a conservative, run-heavy philosophical shift rather than a lack of talent or a permanent role change.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveValue43:06

The source labels Tee Higgins as the '101' of his current wide receiver draft tier, indicating he is a primary target for their rosters.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeProjection17:33

The source uses Etienne as a stylistic and role-based comparison for Rhamondre Stevenson, highlighting their similar profiles as dual-threat running backs.

Insight page

Travis Hunter

PositiveValue34:20

While the source has become more bearish on Travis Hunter's overall role, they now consider him a strong best ball pick at his current ADP in the 180s, where he only needs a few good weeks to pay off.

Insight page

TreVeyon Henderson

PositiveBreakout15:48

The source is highly optimistic about Henderson, labeling him a potential 'league breaker' in the sixth round; he is praised for his explosive playmaking ability and production on film. While his floor is lower than some peers, he is considered an excellent value pick at his current ADP, offering significant upside that outweighs the opportunity cost.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveValue42:17

The source identifies Trey McBride as a high-value target, arguing that a third-round ADP is unjustifiable. Even if he does not repeat his outlier 2024 season, he remains a talented player with the potential for a monstrous year if he increases his touchdown total.

Insight page

Tyjae Spears

NegativeBust10:37

The source is fading Tyjae Spears, citing his failure to secure a larger role last year despite team efforts to make him a focal point. His rookie-year explosiveness was hampered by injury, and he now faces goal-line competition from Chris Rodriguez Jr., further limiting his touchdown equity.

Insight page

Tyrone Tracy

NegativeUsage13:47

The source argues Tracy's floor is higher than perceived due to weak competition from Chris Rodriguez and La'Mical Perine, but is highly critical of his usage as a third-down back; he is labeled a 'terrible pass protector' and the source believes he is better suited as an early-down receiving back, viewing his current pass-protection role as a fundamental personnel error.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveValue42:17

The source considers Zay Flowers a top draft target, grouping him in the same tier as DeVonta Smith, Ladd McConkey, and Jaylen Waddle, noting there is no significant difference between them for fantasy purposes.

0:01Welcome to Legendary Upside podcast and YouTube channel. My name is Pat Gra. You can follow my content at legendaryupsside.com. With me today,
0:08Roto Pat Dhy, how's it going, man?
0:11>> Good. You can tell why we're late. It's because we were debating who's done more podcasting this week.
0:16>> We literally was talking about how many podcasts each of us have done. This is my eighth podcast. You've got me beat.
0:21This is your ninth podcast of the week.
0:23>> It's truly the final week of August. We are >> It is.
0:26>> We are grinding. Uh, you know, >> just telling just telling everyone I know how hard I'm working.
0:32>> I know [laughter] >> how tough I got it.
0:35>> Well, it is. Talk about we have like the ultimate first world problem. Like you don't understand how mentally draining podcasting is. All right.
0:43>> Like it's just as draining as like physical exertion as your brain. My back hurts on a treadmill. Yes. [laughter] You know,
0:50>> my brain is essentially on a treadmill, but it's like a really fancy like hard treadmill like the kind like DK Mechaf
0:56or AJ Brown or something would use. It's not like a normal suburban treadmill.
1:00It's like one of those really hard ones that goes fast and has like stairs and stuff.
1:05>> That's my brain.
1:06>> That's your brain. Yeah.
1:07>> Treadmill for the brain. That's what we call these podcasts. the uh the the thing I want to get you uh you thinking
1:13on right now is is the best ball EDPs because because I I kind of feel like you know you're you're like it's a
1:21little canary in the coal mines. It's a little It's a little like uh voice of reason, you know, where we're we're
1:27like, "Hey, Pat, uh just so you know, this is happening." And [laughter] and sometimes it's really sometimes you're just uh kind of like you're
1:38perplexed, but but in a way that makes you chuckle. Other times you seem sort of like, "What the hell's going on?"
1:44>> Horrified, disturbed.
1:46>> You go dad mode on the whole on the whole market.
1:49like someone who has seen too many horror movies. I think maybe I've gotten desensitized because I consult baseball ADP endlessly. Like to me, makes perfect
1:58sense that we're drafting Jonathan Brooks, you know, as an RB3, that Marshon Lloyd is a potential league winner. Um the BAL tooting thing still
2:07doesn't make any sense, but everything else [laughter] I'm afraid I'm getting desensitized. Like like a horror movie commercial will come on like during a
2:14football game and someone's head will get chopped off like on the commercial and my wife will be like they can show
2:21that on a commercial and I'll be like what?
2:23How I am with baseball ads.
2:25>> I want to buy that now.
2:26>> Yeah, I know. I I actually bought tickets to that movie. [laughter] It looks really I thought it was a comedy.
2:32>> I thought it was a comedy. [laughter] >> Where you at? Where you at on Jonathan Brooks? That's one that I thought might
2:40uh draw your eye, but are you >> Unfortunately, it didn't cuz it makes it does make sense. And >> wow, >> with Chuba, we've already seen I think I
2:50used to be part of the brigade like coaching staffs love Chuba Hover, man.
2:54But like the the second I've come around though in the view like they love Chuba until the second there's someone better.
3:01And I think Rico Dole really opened their eyes last year like wow there's actually a lot of players who are better
3:07than Chuba Huard and maybe we should work harder to find someone better than Chuba Hub. Not to say that Chuba Hubard
3:12is bad. He's basically the definition of like a replacement level player and it seemed like that kind of opened their eyes. And the John the Brooks thing to
3:20me has been notable because unlike a lot of like best baseball scams or steam disasters in the past, this one is kind
3:28of being led by the Panthers coaching staff. Like the steam came from within the house to begin basically. Like I don't think you guys would have been
3:37getting all over Jonathan Brooks if Dave Canales basically hadn't been talking about it all off season. You I'm a little concerned that he didn't show
3:45anything in the first two preseason games. It's such a small sample size, you know, he's the kind of guy who probably needs like 15 to 20 bytes the
3:53apple. Hopefully bust the big play then.
3:55Um, so unfortunately Jonathan Brooks, this is what I mean by being desensitized. It makes perfect sense to me >> being taken. Yes,
4:02>> you you're right as well. Like we weren't in on Brooks when he was at his cheapest. We were we we had him, you
4:10know, is as kind of a a pretty speculative type of pick when he's in the 140s. the type of pick that could
4:16really burn you in baseball when you know you can't replace him if he's just not ready if he kind of is just done
4:22because there's a pretty high chance that he's just never really going to have a meaningful NFL role.
4:27>> It's definitely still greater than 50%.
4:30>> I don't think it's greater than 50%. I mean if you want to say meaningful >> yeah we could get very legalistic like
4:36what does mean? What does mean? What does fantasy mean? He's >> he's way more than 50% to pay off a 140s
4:46type pick now.
4:47>> Yeah. 1,00%. Yes.
4:48>> Yeah. So, but but then, you know, you get all of this. I mean, things have just headed very steadily in a positive
4:54direction for him >> from a real life coaching, you know, the plan kind of perspective. Not just like, oh, he looks good, but what do the
5:04Panthers think about this? What are they signaling that is going to happen? and what do they think is plausible over the
5:10course of the season? And it seems like for a long time now the plan has been for Jonathan Brooks to be their starter
5:17by the end of the season if he's capable of of being that. But that's what they would like to have happen. And then I
5:23was talking with Greg Branos on Monday.
5:25There was a quote about it being a committee week one and he was like, well, you know, that's going to kind of
5:30hurt his ADP. I was like, I think that's going to help.
5:33>> Yeah, I have the exact same take as you.
5:35Like, wow, they they admit it. They admit it. To me, it's [laughter] they admit it like this isn't I thought we
5:40were gonna have to do the Chuba's our starter BS and then and then we see pretty quickly that he's not a real
5:46starter and then Brooks takes over by the end of the season. But if it's just a straightup committee week one, that's
5:51real bad for Chuba.
5:53>> Horrible for Chuba.
5:54>> Massive win. Yeah. For the Brooks slap.
5:56>> Massive win for Brooks. So, I'm excited to have you on board. Now, he went in the fifth round of the main event last
6:02night. Uh does that does that do anything for you? How many teams is that? 14. Um, >> so that's a 12 team league and it's
6:11tight end premium. So that pushes down >> the uh the running backs a bit.
6:16>> A little seems a little high. [laughter] >> Like I not paying for fifth round John Brooks. I will say that
6:23>> because I mean even dog he's outside the fifth round, right?
6:26>> Last night Jonathan Brooks went ahead of Bucky Irving, Cam Scataboo, Bachel Tutin. Wow.
6:34>> Uh, >> I would take >> Jacobs obviously was was falling so he went ahead of him as well.
6:39>> Uh, you would take Brooks over Tutin.
6:42>> I would take Brooks over Tooten at this point. Um, >> you're just you're just not a believer in in the [clears throat] Tooten.
6:48>> No, I'm not rooting Tooten.
6:50>> You're not rooting to?
6:50>> No, that one I have not come around on.
6:53>> We've lost some people on on the uh the Tooten bandwagon's lost some some people. Jacob Sanderson's off the Tootin bandwagon. It does seem like, you know,
7:02there's going to be he's gonna have to fight it out over the course of the season. And I think it makes sense that
7:09if you don't believe that Toutton's going to win that fight or you just don't want to have to deal with a guy in
7:13a fight that you're out.
7:15>> That's true. I'm still in I'm I'm more in I think for best than for managed where I'm like I'm trying to figure out
7:23how do I get you know that big time upside on the team for those final weeks and if I've got to deal with some you
7:32know frustrating weeks with Tuton some like should I start this guy this week weeks with Tuton you know that's not going to have as big an impact on me in
7:41baseball because I don't have to decide like I I get the good weeks and I I hopefully won't get the bad weeks.
7:46You'll have other >> running back good weeks.
7:48>> Let's get the good weeks. And then you're you're betting on a dude to to emerge over the course of the season and
7:53be a guy you really really want um you know for the for the week 15 through 17 stretch. But last night we were split uh
8:05two to two on Bucky Irving and Bashel Tutin.
8:08>> Oh man, that says so much about Bucky.
8:10So on the Tuton versus >> and I voted Bucky. I voted Bucky >> on the Tutin versus Brooks question. By the way, I just think what I think what
8:17I'm saying is I would rather Brooks as my RB3 than Toutton as my RB2 is kind of what I mean with that because that
8:24that's the ADP range.
8:26>> Okay. Well, well, in this draft, Brooks was selected at the 503 and and uh Tootin at the 601. So, >> yeah. Heads up, I would probably rather
8:34have Totin. [laughter] >> Yeah. Okay.
8:36>> Heads up, I would still go Toot. Yeah.
8:38Yeah, but you know, Tuton's been like the low-end RB2 where Brooks, I guess, now is steamed like mid-range RB3 and I
8:45guess apparently in some leagues higher.
8:47I was unaware of that.
8:48>> We took him in the seventh round in July uh in a in a main event slow draft and partly because we're like, I think he's
8:57not going to be here when we're drafting in August. And then to see him at the 503, you're you're like, okay, we were
9:03right. But also for it actually to happen, it's like, whoa.
9:06>> I know. I know. Oh yeah, the baseball bros have inherited the earth. And the this Brooks too, that was just the coach
9:14drum beat. I I didn't expect it to end, but I wasn't going to be surprised if the second the pads came on. It was
9:20early August. Like the the coach comments shifted to like, well, Jonathan, you know, he's he's barely played in two years. He's still got a
9:27long way to go. Like I just kind of thought they might shift more back into project mode and they just never did.
9:34>> And I did find that very notable. they stayed in like he's going to contribute now mode and not >> I think that's a great point. It never
9:41it never went away like because obviously you know they took this guy in the second round. They're really excited to see what they have and they could
9:47have walked it back.
9:49>> It would have been pretty re you know in some poss but that they maybe should have but they didn't.
10:00>> They didn't. It's pretty bullish that they have never wavered because, you know, they haven't really seen a big sample of this guy even practicing.
10:08>> No.
10:08>> So, >> that's Yeah, that's always great.
10:10>> They could have been surprised in a bad way. You know, it's like, yeah, we can't wait to see you. Oh. [snorts and sighs]
10:16>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. I'm sure I'm sure the impact of [laughter] Yeah.
10:20>> Oh, now I get it.
10:21>> Yeah. No, I think Brooks, no, he's looked great. ETN's looked great. Uh, you know, all the guys have looked great. [laughter]
10:27>> I had to think of who ETN even was a Trevor. Yeah, gold travel.
10:30>> I think he's still ETN. Travis is HN but >> Yeah, I know. That's a big family divide.
10:35>> Yeah, it's a big family divide.
10:37>> Uh Tooten, I just don't I don't I never came around because to me the the canary and the canol coal mine for Tootin is
10:46that >> the canary and the canoli mine.
10:47>> Yeah. So like a lot someone just today on the canoli mine on a live chat was like to me and Denny and Kyle was like
10:54the only thing that matters is Liam Cohen like he's going to make this guy a star. And I was like, well, you know, he
10:59tried to do that last year and it didn't work. And like I I felt like last year there was >> Did he try?
11:05>> I feel like there was palpable desperation to get him a bigger role last year. He just never ran with it.
11:12Like they I think he only exceeded 10. I think there were several games where I felt like or >> he got hurt in the one game
11:19got hurt on like the first carry.
11:21>> It seemed clear they were going to try to make him a thing and he just never obliged. I as Tuton was my highest
11:27drafted player last year, so I'm pretty familiar with like kind of the roller coaster ride. There was there was a stretch where it was like
11:34>> you were like, "Okay, here we go. This is going to happen." And then he got he got like banged up. It looked like maybe
11:39broke his ankle.
11:40>> That's right.
11:41>> And then he didn't break his ankle and we're like, "Hooray." And then it's like, but also he's never going to
11:46matter now. [laughter] You know, and Tutin, the Tootton thing changed a little because with Root and Tutin, I was like, he's the classic guy
11:54where he's got threats on all three downs. The Quint Allen is hurt now. And I I never really knew how serious the
12:01Laquent Allen thing was. Like, is he really going to be like a pass catching back for the Jaguars? I do think that's
12:06relieved some of the pressure on Tuton, but it's like he's got the goal line competition in Sea Rod. Like they talk
12:12about Quinn Allen, like Quint Allen, like they actually want him to have a passcatching role.
12:16>> They really like him as a pass protector.
12:18>> And yeah, Tutin is supposed to be explosive, but he wasn't explosive as a rookie, but like you said, he was hurt.
12:23Tutin, I do acknowledge the upside case.
12:26But it it's he's the classic I have the luxury as a guy who's mostly doing manage managed leagues that I can just
12:32be out on guys >> and I was like out on tootin or if I was doing large portfolios and large field
12:38tournaments I couldn't just be totally out on a guy >> but since I'm in manage leagues do I since I'm only managing 13 or 14 teams
12:45you know not very many fantasy teams.
12:47Um, I can be out on facial tutin and I am.
12:51>> Yeah. For me with Totin, um, and Brooks I think fits this as well. Although generally I'm taking him like a full,
12:59you know, at the following turn. Like if I'm taking Totin in the early fifth, I'm taking Brooks maybe maybe not even in
13:06the late sixth, maybe in the early seventh. Um, that's when I prefer to take them. And I am still trying to push
13:10them around because you will sometimes still get them at like the 702, 703. But I think both those guys have now started
13:16to fall into uh a range where you are looking at some floor outcomes where guys at committee back which which is
13:25not great for the price even for Brooks's price that's not great but you do you do get big-time ceiling with both
13:32players and I in baseball like unfortunately I this is like it's boring and I don't like it but you you have to
13:39think about floor more and so I'm often like in best talking about like, well, this guy's floor is pretty low. Like,
13:47but what I actually like about Tootton is I don't think his floor is super low.
13:53Like, he's he's competing with Chris Rodriguez and Laquent Allen. Like, those dudes, first of all, Allen is probably not going to be anything as a runner,
14:01>> you know, most of the time, and he's not healthy. And Brooks was literally just in a situation where he's competing with
14:08a seventh round rookie and was, you know, he had his moments where he he got like 15-ish carries, but he was not
14:15leaned on in a way that a better running back, frankly, would have been. I I do think that Bucky or not Bucky, sorry,
14:23Tutin can bust there and be a drag on rosters, but I don't think he's going to be this catastrophic loss in the fifth
14:30round. and you get access to him being like a explosive, versatile guy who catches the ball kind of like Bucky where even if he's not
14:40playing third down because Laquin Allen is, he's still getting passes on on first and second down. He can really really beat that ADP. So to me, it's
14:48like the floor hurts, but he probably hits your lineup in best ball, you know, by catching the ball, by scoring scoring
14:56a touchdown, having having some explosive plays over the course of the season. Um, he probably helps some in managed. I do think he could be more of
15:06a headache where it's just like when do I start?
15:08>> When do I play him? And you make a really great point about Toutin that I feel like is under discussed because I
15:14don't even this you think about baseball in a very advanced way where to me that is the problem in managed leagues where
15:21that uh he could become trapped between the 20s but that's still a high floor if you're trapped between the 20s like
15:27because that's still usually denotes like 10 to 12 touches per week which like you said is at least not killing you and it's not a zero
15:34>> killing you that's bad like if that happens that's Yes.
15:38>> But it's not like, >> you know, he he isn't just getting like completely phased out, you know, because >> which I don't think is even a possible
15:46outcome for Tuton.
15:48>> Yeah. And like for Trayvon Henderson, who was going at one time in the in that range, like there are weeks where he's
15:54not going to touch the ball very much in his floor outcomes like the what the bad seasons look like for Trayvon could be.
16:01>> Trayvon I feel like is the real Tooten.
16:03That's where I've been at.
16:04>> The real Tootenon.
16:05>> He's the real Tootenon. True. But isn't Raandre the real Crod?
16:08>> Yes, [laughter] he's proof of Crod concept.
16:12>> He is definitely proof of Crod concept >> and he can catch the ball where Crod is not.
16:16>> My different where I the distinction I make with Trayvon and Tuton is that I feel like Trayvon had the rookie year
16:22the Totin boosters like wished that Toutin had and are kind of just behaving as if he did have it, you know,
16:28like like he did he actually did have that rookie year. I don't know if you know. Well, I like Trayvon a lot
16:35in the sixth now. I was I was having a lot of trouble with Trayvon where he was going originally, but like you're giving
16:41me sixth round Trayvon Henderson.
16:44>> Um we we took sixth round Trayvon Henderson 609 Trayvon Henderson last night and there were votes for Raandre, but it's like it was in a draft we had
16:54uh DeAndre Swift and Bucky Irving. I'm like, dude, we don't need to start this guy. Let's let's let's swing big. like
17:01he could he could be the guy you have to have.
17:03>> I think Trayvon could be like a league breaker this year. I really do.
17:06>> I do too. Yeah.
17:07>> Because I clearly I understand the hesitance. Uh literally four of the most important games in Patriots franchise. I guess you the Patriots the one franchise
17:16you can't say this for but a four game Super Bowl run. They essentially don't use him. Like obviously >> is that is that good? [laughter]
17:24>> Obviously a screaming red.
17:27>> This is what I mean. like that is >> but he got >> yeah I think it could be explained >> away last year tootined by by Stevenson
17:33like there's an ETN here basically in Raandre >> so I definitely understand why people were like uh not going to ignore that
17:41like that was horrible I can't ignore that at all that's very fair push back on that is that the Patriots late in the season clearly made a
17:49philosophical decision like we're too injured you know the offensive line is falling apart we're just going to try to grind out games to win Slugfest. Yeah.
17:59And that is what they did.
18:00>> And but now the stakes are lower at the beginning of the season. You get the the the fresh slate.
18:06>> Uh Tutin, excuse me, Henderson, unlike Toutin did put a lot of explosive plays on film. Unlike Toutin, like almost reached a thousand yards rushing. I I
18:16feel like what you're hoping for with Tuton is what we already got with Trayvon. I I totally understand the viewpoint like the most important games
18:24of the year, he they hid him. like he barely even touched the field. I just think that was I think that was like a
18:31kind of a desperation gambit that ended up working like we got to park the bus.
18:35>> I I do too to be >> Yeah.
18:36>> Yeah.
18:37>> They had to park the bus and just go s their >> let's win with our defense.
18:41>> Win with the defense and being conservative not >> you Strad's melting down. The Chargers offensive line is a mess. It's literally
18:49a blizzard in in Denver.
18:52>> Yes. Yes.
18:52>> Um, you know, and and no Knicks, >> you know, so they literally just are like, we don't have to score points, so
19:00let's what if we >> the Broncos game, they they were good. I I think the Patriots thought they could win the Broncos game with zero points.
19:08>> I think they thought so, [laughter] too.
19:10>> And uh they essentially did.
19:13>> Yeah. So, I I think that was very like particular to to that, you know, set of circumstances that that he got phased
19:20out to that degree. I don't think that full phase out's really very likely, but it wasn't >> representative concern me. Yeah,
19:28>> but it was definitely like a data point you take note of like hm interesting.
19:33>> I do I do worry with Tvon to so I feel like Tutin is a better baseball pick because I think he can
19:41take over that job by the end of the season without an injury, you know, and just like >> 100%. Yes. and and
19:48>> and his floor is higher. Tuton's touch floor is higher. That's >> in the meantime, he's going to kind of be frustrating but somewhat useful when
19:56the points hit your lineup, you know, when you when they actually are are useful, right?
20:02T Trayvon Henderson, like I think those weeks you don't start him in in reddraft, you're not seeing him in your best lineup either a lot of
20:09the times. Of course, he can rip off long touchdowns and stuff, but there's a lot of weeks where it's like >> seven
20:16>> six carries for 17 yards.
20:18>> Yeah. Yeah, it's Yeah, that kind of stuff. And so for me, he is just like the classic reddraft home run swing.
20:28>> That makes a lot of sense. That actually does make a lot of sense as like a needle that you're threading. I agree
20:32with the needle you're threading.
20:34>> And for a lot of the summer, the price was I think a little too high. you're being asked to make a home run swing bet
20:42in a range where there's still like pretty like you know guys in one's in a committee or you know like a David
20:49Montgomery is an older back but like he's going to have probably a ton of volume or DeAndre Swift you know one one
20:55a great off like I think the opportunity cost was kind of high on Henderson when he was going there but now you can like
21:01literally come back and pair him with those guys in the sixth round that's I think where he probably should have been
21:08this whole time, but he's a he's an awesome pick there. Uh, and I'm finally getting what I've been asking for all
21:14summer, which is like, just let me make the Henderson bullcase, man. Just let me make the bull case. Let me let me act like other people aren't
21:21seeing what I'm seeing on Trarevon. Uh, and finally I can I finally have a 609 Trevon share. And I'd be like, they the
21:27boomers don't get it. They're takingre over them.
21:30>> They don't get it at all.
21:32>> Yeah, >> I get that I'm turning yellow, by the way. I'm have to adjust my light at a certain point. [laughter]
21:39This turned yellow. Um, there we go.
21:42Back to normal.
21:44>> Beautiful.
21:44>> Oh, no. Now it's even worse. This isn't on air, right?
21:48>> Let me ask you. So, Roat looks like he's uh catching some sort [clears throat] of infectious disease.
21:54>> I have uh what's the one that turned you yellow? The really serious one.
21:57Jaundice. Yeah.
21:58>> Did by chance uh Cam Scataboo passed that to you? And what are your thoughts on on his outlook right now?
22:05>> Scataboo. So, I saw the clip of you guys uh all converging on Naji Harris being an amazing pick. Um, which I think kind
22:12of sums up where we're at on Scataboo or even before they signed Naji. Even before John Harbaugh being like, "Yeah, his his mistakes are contagious." Like
22:24really bad coach quote, you know? Did you see that this week?
22:28>> Yeah. Yeah. No, that's what I was Yeah, that's what I was referencing.
22:30>> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Sorry. That's why he gave you >> jaundice. [laughter] Yes, he Now I get it. Uh even before that just the the
22:39horrible training camp for Cam Scott. I just feel like no way to sugarcoat.
22:43There hasn't really been any positive reports. There haven't been like super super negative ones, but like in a situation where I think the red carpet
22:52was kind of rolled out for like yeah, Cam is taking a big step forward as a a secondyear pro. Like you would never
22:58know he was hurt. Those didn't happen at all. like just kind of always there was like a sense of like building
23:05frustration that I think boiled over in the signing and then the Harbaugh comments and seems like a guy camp he needed to have I just sense a
23:14guy who didn't need to have the training camp he needed to have for a new coaching staff. It's kind of the sense I
23:18got >> that might be right. I I do I mean it does seem like things are kind of headed that way. I I I think part of the
23:24frustration though was with Tracy who like fully >> the worst pickup anyone's ever seen in their life.
23:31>> Remember when it wasn't the Naji signing like truly like the guy she told you not to worry about type vibes from like no
23:39no like this signing [laughter] like don't worry she's going on that trip with her ex.
23:45>> It's very normal to go to Turkey with your ex.
23:48>> It's very normal to go to Turkey with your ex.
23:50>> This seems weird.
23:51>> It's uh [laughter] I'm not going to worry about it. The game's on.
23:54>> It doesn't have anything to do with you.
23:56>> Yeah. Nothing that big fight you had and the way she's been distant recently.
23:59>> She's still texting. They're one-word responses, but she's still texting.
24:04>> I mean, it's pretty it was pretty clearly extremely bearish for Tyrone Tracy. And uh that, you know, that last about two that that little game of
24:14pretend lasted two days.
24:15>> Yes.
24:16>> Before you saw the Instagram picture.
24:18Uh, [laughter] >> and they're on an island. [laughter] Wow. I I think when I think of islands, I typically think Greece. I don't really
24:27think Turkey, but I should have seen this coming. [laughter] >> So, yeah. I mean, I think uh I think part of the coach's frustrations has
24:35been kind of more with the room as a whole, not just Scataboo specifically.
24:39>> That's a good point that But I mean, it's not a good room in their coach's defense. It's also not better in our
24:46defense with Naji.
24:48Yeah, I don't. Yeah, the other thing with Scataboo that I think there's a bunch of stuff with Scataboo. The other thing is it seems like
24:57it doesn't seem like they watched the tape from last year and they're just like judging him on what he looks like
25:02because they they're not apparently using him too much as a pass character.
25:05It's more like he's their grinder, which he can do. But like >> yeah, >> you know, they're they're like Tracy as
25:12a third down back.
25:14>> That's really dumb. Tracy's a terrible pass protector as they as they found out, but he's never been good at that.
25:19>> He's a he's an early down receiving back, not a >> third down pass protecting back. It's like totally different roles. And
25:28Scataboo is actually pretty good as just a guy you can put out there and and Naji will be fine at that too. But it's it's
25:34strange to me that >> that Tracy would ever have been ahead of Scataboo in those type situations. Like that's just a fundamental misreading of
25:41the guys in the room. It's not surp I mean the coaching staff is just beyond washed like I've been soed you know I've
25:47been dabbling now everyone is I was asked to give a hot take I think in March on a podcast I think the Kevin
25:53Clark podcast not to name drop one of my hot takes was that the the John Harbaugh thing was going to be a fiasco and I I
26:00see the whole world catching up to me now >> honestly my only push back there would be not a hot take [laughter]
26:08>> yeah that's fair that's that's at the time, you know, especially at the time, you know, it was on the Kevin
26:15Clark show. Not that he's legacy media, but he works with a lot of legacy media guys. It's ESPN to those guys. Kevin, it
26:22wasn't a hot take. He's Kevin's on the same wavelength as us, but like to somewhat like an August NFL journalism professional, like, what do you mean?
26:30John Harbaugh is one of the best coaches in the NFL.
26:33>> Super Bowl. How could it possib?
26:35>> Yeah. How could it possibly be a fiasco?
26:38And at the time, >> he's a safe pair of hands.
26:40>> Yeah, exactly. [laughter] My reasoning at the time was I said I could look the other way when they signed the fullback.
26:46You need a guy from your old team, whatever. That's fine. You need like a security blanket type guy. But when they
26:52signed the fullback and the punter, that's when I knew there were no new ideas for John Harbaugh in New York.
26:58Now, >> signing your former punter is maybe the most bearish thing. Well, EVEN THE PUNTER WOULD have been fine if the
27:05punter hadn't been paired with the fullback.
27:08>> Sign either. It's an either or. You can sign the fullback. You can sign the punter. You need one of your locker room
27:13guys. When he signed both, I was all right. This is >> that's Yeah. Yeah. He's cooked. It's over. If you're signing the punter and a
27:20fullback, that just that combination that tells you it's never been more expect.
27:25>> Yeah. Never been more over.
27:26>> And then you sign Matt Naggie.
27:28>> I know. Which >> And then you sign Greg Roman. Then you sign Brian Callahan. Like their upandcomer coach is Brian Callahan. You
27:35want to know how bad it is? Like the young upside guy is Brian Callahan.
27:39>> The upside [laughter] guy.
27:40>> The upside guy is Callahan. So it's it's a disaster.
27:46>> Honestly, if any of those guys gets an OC job after this, it's probably Roman again somehow.
27:51>> Well, well, it would make sense. He's at least he's got a thing. There's at least a thing that he does. He's kind of like
27:58I don't know how big of a Premier League fan you are, but you know the way they cycle through coaches in the Premier
28:03League, there are certain guys like this guy's a turnaround artist. This guy's this guy is an avoid relegation artist.
28:09Like Greg Romans at least like you will successfully run the ball for two years artist.
28:13>> Like the Dolphins are going to bring him in to try to make Willis work when they know it's not like the long-term
28:20solution, but Greg Roman at least does have a thing.
28:23>> He has a thing. Yeah. It's just like once the thing has been implemented, you're like, >> "Yeah, you're like, well,
28:29>> we got it. We got it.
28:30>> Wish it were a different thing.
28:33>> Not that thing."
28:36>> He's like, "What?" He's like, "You knew.
28:38You literally knew this is what I what I do.
28:40>> You called [laughter] me."
28:41>> Yeah.
28:43So, why why why you hating me? This is what you know what I did.
28:50>> Yeah. So, I mean, the Scataboo stuff does concern me, but oh, and then the other thing I guess is while we're
28:58listing all the bear bare signals here, the infectious disease thing. This I think has both bearish and bullish qualities, which is mostly bearish, but
29:07the infectious disease is like him causing like penalties at the end of practice by hitting defenders when they're not allowed to hit. I think he
29:15slid like into a defender's leg and almost like caused an injury. Uh, but he's been like guys aren't allowed to tackle him and stuff and he's running
29:24into defenders. They're they hate this guy now. They're they're like the defense is ready to destroy Cam Scataboo. He's, you know, famously, you
29:35know, the type of guy who hits his head against a brick wall.
29:37>> Yes.
29:38>> Doesn't really follow instructions very well.
29:40>> Or maybe doesn't know how. Might not even know how.
29:43>> Can't remember the instru. He's a particular type of man.
29:47>> Yeah. [laughter] and uh and it seems like they're sick of it from a like we have to play this guy
29:53against ourselves all the time. I do wonder if like once the pads come on in real NFL football games and you're
30:00playing opponents >> CJ Gardner Johnson mode kind of deal.
30:04>> Yeah. Yeah. you you might find his his stick a little less, you know, you might you might actually fire guys up a little
30:11bit >> because he's not going to be getting it's pretty hard to get after the whistle penalties like as a running back
30:16like >> No, he's just putting his shoulder through guys when they're not supposed to be tackling, but you know, he's going
30:20to fight for every yard in real situations. So, I I still think Scataboo I mean Naji Harris wasn't good before he
30:26tore his Achilles. Like >> I still think he dust Naji. The thing with Scataboo is they don't have a better option
30:33>> unless the injury fundamentally changed him which is possible. He was the most explosive guy to begin with >> and that's why we are taking Naji in the
30:40final rounds because the coaching like what you need for Naji to pay off is and we took him in the 16th round last night
30:47of a reddraft league where you know you if if he if he looks washed you you move on but he needs to be not completely
30:53washed you know make a successful return from the Achilles which has happened.
30:57It's it's the type of thing that can rob guys of explosiveness. He had never had that much explosiveness to begin with,
31:03but we've also seen guys return from the injury and be solid at least. So, you need him to be healthy enough. You need
31:08Scataboo not to be fully right off his injury, which is pretty possible. And some of the stuff we've been hearing, as
31:15you said, you know, would point to that.
31:17And then you need a coaching staff dumb enough to actually just make Naji Harris their starting running back. But we have
31:22that very clearly.
31:23>> We do have that in place.
31:24>> Yeah. [laughter] that part that piece of the puzzle like clocked in immediately.
31:29>> Locked [laughter] in. That's your strongest piece.
31:31>> That was the strongest that's the cornerstone piece of the entire puzzle.
31:35>> So I I do want to bet on Naji now, you know, for very cheap and just maybe you you get a starting running back out of
31:43it. But I'm also betting on Scataboo at a discount because I think what should happen is he's just clearly better than
31:51Naji. Um, >> that makes a lot of I haven't been taking much Scataboo, but I'm not against taking Scat. It's not like a
31:58Tootton situation where like I have to like make it my brand or whatever.
32:03>> Like I can still take Scataboo.
32:06>> I could actually maybe Toutin's ADP never really >> it's it's not objectionable. It's actually okay.
32:12>> I think it's fine. Yeah.
32:13>> Could have gotten a lot worse. I sense the classic out of control control best baseball situation which it still is but
32:20I've seen more out of control best baseball situations >> when Crod was hurt it started to get cuz he was he was moving up into like the
32:27fourth and stuff.
32:28>> It it was going to it was going to get out of control. We were headed towards what is happening.
32:33>> Uh but we never quite got there.
32:35>> No.
32:36>> So um any other baseball ADPs that you think have completely jumped the shark?
32:42Where are the controversial?
32:44Um, >> well, where are you at on the Parker Washington stuff? Cuz he's now going both reddraft and baseball. He's like a
32:50You'll see him in the fourth round.
32:52We're about to jump in a draft. I'm jumping in a draft kings, basketball millionaire if anyone wants to hop in with us. Um, right now I'm I've just
32:59gotten in it, but uh he's probably going to go in the fourth round of that draft.
33:04And he went he goes in a kind of at the four or five turn now in the main event.
33:09Washington was all summer. Like I just didn't get it. Um I got that he was productive, really productive down the stretch last year, but I'm like I don't
33:19know, man. It's four wide receivers.
33:21Like I know he doesn't have the most upside. Like he at best he's got the third most upside of these four Jags
33:27receivers. Like I just don't know if I'm comfortable with this. Just this week, quite literally just this week, I started to feel the Parker Washington
33:36fear because like you see the Travis Hunter thing like ending before our eyes basically where like he doesn't play offense anymore. Like he literally
33:45>> I don't think that's happened. I think he is playing offense.
33:46>> I do too actually. And they're probably just crash coursing him. But still very concerned.
33:51>> They like they've all the coaching quotes like like Travis Hunter thing has been frustrating to me because like without additional context
34:00>> Yeah. it would look like he's just going to be playing cornerback, but we have a lot of additional context. One, he was
34:05drafted number two overall to play both ways. They've talked about how that plan has not changed. They've also talked about how being on defense requires more
34:14preparation than being on offense, >> which makes a ton of sense as you get closer to the season. Yeah. To have him
34:19out there.
34:20>> And that's also how he was used at Colorado where he was, you know, he spent more time with the defense and
34:25practicing defense than he did the offense. So, I think for me with Hunter, it's moved in a bit of a bearish
34:32direction. If you're if you had hopes for him to like, you know, be in a big role at at points, it looks more like
34:41he's going to be mixed in, but I think pretty consistently. And I still think he's a really good baseball pick in part
34:46because he's now, you know, you can get him in like the 180s now.
34:49>> Yes.
34:49>> Which is just like you're you're in a range where he has a couple good weeks throughout the whole season and he pays
34:54off.
34:56He's he's going to be tough and managed of course because how good Travis Hunter's ADP had gotten.
35:02It won't surprise you at all. You may or may not remember like I just didn't do it last year. I had 0.0% Travis Hunter
35:09shares. It's way too risky.
35:10>> He was quite expensive. Yeah.
35:12>> Way too risky of a player for me last his ADP is so good now. I have him in basically every draft I do.
35:16>> Hell yeah.
35:17>> Yeah. And but Parker Washington just this week I was I was like, man, I've been way too bearish on Parker
35:24Washington. And that I'm probably just underrating like these are the kind of guys Trevor Lawrence has success with.
35:30Like he just needs the precise underneath guys where he can make easier throws. We know that he's just doesn't quite have it down the field. Like
35:41there's always the highlight reels. Like if his receivers were all three inches taller, he would be the best [laughter] of all time. And he needs the Parker
35:48Washington, Jacobe Meyers types. And I have gotten very fearful that I that was like a situation where I was asleep at
35:56the wheel where like I was very very wrong to not be on the Parker Washington bandwag. I've been very fearful of that
36:02the past few days.
36:05>> Yeah. I mean I think if you're if you have you know drafts where people were getting Park Washington in like the late
36:11sixth rounds when the sixth round has been kind of a breaking point outside of quarterback. Like there's, you know, there's been a Warren's probably gone,
36:21so there's been a a tear break at tight end. There's been a big tear break at running back. There's been, you know, a
36:28big tear break at receiver, except as it turns out, Parker Washington was was the way to play that in the late six. That I
36:34completely agree with. Like, I don't have him there, and I wish I did. But at the new ADP, I mean, we're looking at
36:41him here uh with an ADP of 50.7. And if if anything, I would take, you know, the earlier side of that of of where he goes
36:51in this draft.
36:54There's a ton of opportunity cost at that price. I'm not real I'm still not like really sweating it. If that like
37:01about that beating me, the earlier stuff is more concerning.
37:05>> Thank god they see so you couldn't do it. Um >> I would just I would listen to the sidekick. I would just take Almond.
37:13>> Let's do it.
37:15Hopefully you don't hate that. Taylor, I've been getting spooked on Taylor.
37:19I've been getting spooked on Taylor.
37:21>> Like how long can this guy stay healthy?
37:24How this environment, the running back, like an environment that worked last year, but I felt like it was like kind of a moonshot that it worked. And then
37:33like the second Daniel Jones got hurt even before he went out for the season, like the offense cratered, the efficiency cratered, Jonathan Taylor
37:40splits cratered. I just the 2025 Colts would have been near the bottom of the list of offenses I would have run back.
37:48Like we got to get Daniel Jones back here. Like they should have tried to find the next Daniel Jones, like the
37:53next veteran scrap heap reclamation project. Instead, they became the second team to very dubiously commit to Daniel Jones. And Taylor, whatever. And we can
38:04debate if injury prone is real or not.
38:06He's managed to stay healthy for two years now, but I just don't he doesn't strike me as a guy who's gonna have half
38:13a decade of like really strong health. I I feel like he's being taken at his absolute ceiling and I've gotten scared
38:21on Jonathan Taylor this month.
38:23>> I don't think he's been taking his his absolute ceiling because we've seen him I mean he had uh from you know the mid
38:30to late second half >> yard season. Yeah, he he had a 48% advance rate last year and he and he cooled off like
38:38>> he I don't actually think he's being taken at his ceiling. I wouldn't take him, >> you know, if he was going ahead of Bejon
38:45>> then I'd be like, "Oh, what's going on?" You know?
38:49>> Yeah.
38:49>> But 40 first, >> he can beat that for sure, >> dude. What's happening? Look at this this fall for >> the the top three on the sidekick here.
38:59I would be delighted to have but one one guy more than the others.
39:03>> Who? CD.
39:04>> CD. Yeah.
39:05>> Yeah. Well, I don't know what he I mean, per reports, he's not even the best receiver on his own team anymore.
39:10>> Oh, is that what's happening?
39:11>> That's There's been several reports this week. Hayden Winkx amplified them. Our friend Hayden.
39:16>> I did see I did see that. Um >> there have been several reports. Well, you the decision's out of your hands.
39:21>> Kenneth Walker I just wrote up legendary upside scenario for came away pretty pretty stoked on.
39:27>> Just hit the button. hit the button on Kenneth Walker.
39:30>> I need to, as you can see, I'm a little underweight on him on DraftKings and I'm gonna work hard to correct that.
39:34>> I wanted you to hit the button because then I want to say how I would have taken a Chan. [laughter] That's all
39:40right.
39:40>> I I like Achan, too. I I think um I'm underweight on him as well, and I want to >> me achan's the most obvious first round
39:48pick who's not going in the first round.
39:50Like, >> it's just the offense, man. I know it's the offense, but I think Don't you agree that we're actually pretty poor at
39:57predicting historically bad offenses?
40:00And I feel like they would have to be an historically bad offense. Kind of like the Raiders last year for Han not to be
40:06a top 12 player. Like the floor is so high, the ceiling is so high. He's demonstrated to be a special player
40:15twice now. I just think he I think he is a legitimately special player. I think he's kind of like a model breaking
40:20player and that like it's not a good offensive envir I just don't think it's an historically bad I think it's clearly
40:27a bottom three or four offensive environment this year but I just think >> we're think we're not particularly good at predicting historically bad offensive
40:38>> you know looking at at Brandon Thorne's offensive line rankings and just kind of like some of the stuff he's talked about
40:45with the offensive line stuff like Mike McDaniel is an offensive line boosting type of guy and then you have him so you
40:53have him departing and then you also have a Dolphins offensive line that has been bad and and Thorne's got them in
40:59his bottom tier um 28th overall but in the he's they're they're in the lowest tier that he's got. So the path for
41:10Achan, it's tough to see him being like the two down explosive runner. like if he's it's tough to see him like going
41:18into his Saquon Barkley Eagles era, you know, where it's just like tons of explosive runs and yeah, he's not catching that many passes, but he's got
41:28a mobile quarterback next to him that's, you know, drawing defenders and a chance just like he just lost a really creative
41:34offensive mind who's specifically good at kind of making up for offensive line deficiencies. Those types of players tend to play behind elite offensive
41:41lines and on good teams that win games.
41:44So, that's a thin path, I would say.
41:47>> Um, I'm out. That was pretty compelling.
41:50Pretty compelling. And I have him in every league. So, >> and then on the other side, his his big path is receptions, which
42:01is Malik Willis going to support, you know, four, five receptions a game?
42:05Like, >> I'd think so. I >> I think maybe three, three and a half.
42:09>> I think four. I think four or five. I think I think he will remain in a 70 reception player.
42:14>> I think Oh, who just went on McBride?
42:17>> McBride. Devonte Zay are probably the two guys I would be >> I have a lot of Devonte Smith, not gonna
42:23lie to you.
42:24>> Let's take Let's take him then.
42:25>> I like Zay, too. If you're under >> I've got way more Zante.
42:29Take Dvonte.
42:31tell you Dvonte um like you know the Hall of Fame for players who he would be a wide receiver one if he were on insert X amount of
42:41other teams like >> if he were on 22 other teams he'd be the wide receiver one if if he were on any
42:46team but the Eagles he would be the wide receiver one >> T Higgins is the 101 of this >> he is okay then Dvonte is the 102 and
42:53it's uncomfortable for Dvonte because now he actually has to prove that like but I think he is going to >> like I I I think The cliche was true
43:02with him that if he had not been opposite AJ Brown, he would have not just been like a a decent number one
43:09receiver, not just like a credible number one receiver, but like an above average number one receiver. I think he's an going to be an above average
43:16number one receiver for the Eagles.
43:18>> Yeah, I think that's that's >> and if you can get above average number one in the third round, that feels
43:23pretty good to me.
43:24I haven't taken a ton of them because I don't really see a huge difference between him and Zay and Lad and Wadd.
43:31>> There is none.
43:32>> So, and I do see like I do want to get Jeremiah Love and McBride. McBride is a big reason I don't have more Smith.
43:39>> I I don't think third round McBride should be a thing. It doesn't make sense.
43:43>> No, it doesn't. And well, I will say McBride, everyone knows he's not repeating last year, but what if if he
43:50repeats two years ago with the exception of he actually scores five or six touchdowns, that is still like a monstrous tight end season. So, what was
43:59like,00 yards two years ago, wasn't it?
44:02>> And it was just the fact that he literally did not score what he scored one touchdown. Was it one or zero? I
44:07actually don't.
44:08>> It was something crazy >> like one or two. Yeah, >> because like I think there is a perception that like he had this outlier
44:14year obviously, but it's not like it was out of nowhere. It was an outlier for any tight end. Uh but it's it wasn't out
44:23of nowhere is what I would say.
44:25>> Right. No, he was a player set up to have an outlier season and then he >> totally >> right. Right.
44:31>> He's really good.
44:32>> He's just really He was amazing in 2024, not just 2025.
44:37>> Right.
44:37>> S Tree.
44:39>> All right. T. Higgins and Ted McMillan are here. Uh your guy Luther Burton, who I assume you don't want to reach for it.
44:44>> Yeah, I have a lot of tea.
44:47>> Are you That sounds like sad. I have a lot of take.
44:50>> Yeah, cuz I mean he'll just get hurt, but I have a lot of tea.
44:53>> Do you want to take a little T-Mac?
44:55>> I like T-Mac this year, too. I've been wanting to draft more T-Mac. I'm glad you steered us away from T.
45:03>> Well, because the reason I went to T-Mac, >> they call him 12 games T. I I have a uh I saw you guys talking about there's no
45:12ceiling with T-Mac. This guy was awesome as a rookie. They're using him in the slot a little bit more. Like guys who
45:18were awesome as rookies have ceilings in year two, don't they?
45:21>> They do. I just think he's set up to this. I think the argument I made was he's set up for it's going to be a
45:27disappointing repeat of his really solid rookie year. I I because he's a player kind of like early career Drake London who I guess did have the monster year
45:37one of those years where I feel like >> it's either year two or year three that >> he comes out of the gates looking
45:42basically close to a finished product but because of forces beyond his control he kind of keeps repeating that season when we're expecting the level up
45:50>> that is what happened with London London repeated his rookie year >> okay that's kind of what I'm expecting the London for T-Mac where sensational
45:57rookie year and by basically any standard and repeating it would be a good outcome, but it just it feels like a situation, you know, high first round
46:05pick, really strong rookie year where there should be, you know, an instant leap forward. And I just don't know if he's in an instant leap forward
46:12situation where even if he's ready, which he I think he is, I don't know if the offense is ready basically to
46:18support that.
46:20>> I think I get where you're coming from there for sure. I do think that um as as much as I have my issues with Bryce
46:29Young, I think he's better than Desmond Ritter and Taylor Hineki.
46:33>> Yes. Yeah, he is.
46:34>> Who were Drake London's quarterbacks in his second season.
46:38>> Yeah, he is certifiably better than those two. That's not really up for debate.
46:44>> So, I I'm I'm hoping for Drake London year three when he had,200 yards and nine touchdowns. Uh Not that is not
46:54outlandish. 1,29 is like like that exact stat line is like not outlandish at all for Ted >> and Drake London. I think what after his
47:03rookie year I mean he he was more expensive than this for sure. I think he might have even been second round if I'm
47:09>> That sounds very familiar. That sounds like something we would do.
47:12>> It sounds like what we would [laughter] have done. Yeah.
47:14>> As a fantasy drafting community, that sounds like us.
47:18>> Best ball reddraft. That just sounds like us.
47:20>> That just sounds like us. I don't know what to tell [laughter] you. I don't know if it's true or not, but it sounds
47:24like Hey, >> seems legit.
47:25>> I You can't say I'm not dialed in, Pat.
47:28Look at this. Parker Washington 47. I told you he's going to go in the fourth round.
47:32>> You are. That is dialed.
47:34>> That's [laughter] really dialed, brother.
47:36>> Really dialed.
47:37>> His ADP is 50, but he's going to go in the late fourth. [laughter] >> That is, man, you are the smartest guy
47:42in the industry.
47:44>> Only about a joke. Not a joke.
47:46>> I always when I need an avatar of a smart person in the industry, I always use you. by the way.
47:51>> I appreciate that. I appreciate that. My buddy said he was going on a road trip and they threw on the uh the Roto World
47:56podcast and I was name checked within about three minutes.
48:00>> We [laughter] reference you almost every show.
48:03>> You you are quote living rentree in our heads, but in a good way.
48:07>> In a good way.
48:08>> Quinn Sean I'm I'm into here. I He's gonna get plenty of volume.
48:12>> Uh Price, Jackson, Watson all the time.
48:15>> I like Price.
48:17>> Price.
48:17>> I like Quinn Sean. Quinnshan's definitely safer.
48:20>> Yeah, let's do let's do Quinn Sean. I just think they're gonna he's going to be their whole identity.
48:25>> My take exact My take on Quinn Sean is that it's the rare it's one of those years one of those offenses where you
48:32just kind of like you know the game flow most game strips are going to be horrible but they just they don't have a
48:38second op. They don't have a plan B where even if they're losing 17-3 like early in the third quarter it's not like
48:45it's not like they can ramp up the passing attack, you know? and that they're just gonna have to run no matter
48:50what. And that's why I'm not nearly as scared of Quinn Sean as I would be. And maybe if they were in a slightly better
48:57like say if Flaco were the quarterback, like a guy who can actually throw and complete some P who's not good, but who
49:03can actually complete some string together some completions, I'd be maybe more worried. But the quarterback situation projects so catastrophic that I just don't think the negative game
49:13scripts are really going to matter. and that um you can rely at least on the volume. Maybe not touchdowns, but enough
49:19touchdowns will come with that kind of volume.
49:22>> Like imagine, okay, it's Browns have the ball, you know, they get the ball at their own 25 or whatever. They're uh
49:32>> start of a horror movie.
49:33>> They're driving down the field. We're talking, you know, 11 minutes possession, you know, just grinding it out. They get down there. Judkins from
49:45the three punches it in. Everyone's going nuts on the Brown sideline.
49:51It's It's now >> You're the first person to ID8 this all summer by the way. [laughter] >> It's now 9 minutes are left in the
49:57fourth quarter and they're down by 13.
50:00>> Yes. Yes. [laughter] Okay. I didn't know where you were going with that. That is Yeah, that is that is happen like that's
50:07happening in September. [laughter] That is truly happening like week three.
50:12you're gonna text me like, "Dude, it happened.
50:14>> It happened." [laughter] >> Oh my god, that is like too eerily plausible. And also, to my point about hard to predict catastrophically bad
50:24offenses, maybe with Harold Fannon and Casey Conception moving the chains kind of in a similar way to a running back, there's just no way they're as bad as
50:32feared. Um, so maybe that happens and helps Quinn Sean.
50:36>> I take a lot of Tate and especially in the sixth. I don't know if you're you're open to that. I'm
50:40>> not a Tate guy. I can tell you why after you if you after you do or do not take him. What do we need?
50:45>> What do you we we kind of it's sort of like you'd need what's available in the sixth which to me
50:51>> I feel like Tate I mean this is um don't take Andre take >> let's take Tate.
50:56>> This is just a sixth round of baseball man. You there's not a lot here.
50:59>> It's true. My take on Tate is that um and I'm sorry some of your audience has probably heard some of these takes
51:07already from me. My take on Tate is that usually you do not have to give local media some excuse to like just keep
51:17losing their minds over a first round skilled player. We're like anytime they do anything like Tate dominating seven on sevens again today. Like Tate two
51:26excellent practices in the joint practice. Like they treat every good play they do is like the greatest thing they've ever seen. And I feel like it's
51:34been a zero buzz camp for >> There's been some buzz. He finally, was it last week or two weeks ago, scored a
51:40long touchdown in practice. I know >> there was some early stuff with him making >> I just feel like there's a number four
51:46overall pick who it was already like, let's be real, is not the kind of receiver you would normally see go at
51:53number four.
51:53>> Not not at number four. I'm with you. I think he in any class he would have been an early first, but
51:58>> there's been like shockingly little buzz just relative to that profile. A top five wide receiver. I I think relative to that profile, it's been a pretty
52:08quiet lowb buzz training camp for Caro.
52:11>> Well, there was because part of the thing Tate has literally fallen on not getting uh like a lot of preseason
52:17production which I think is silly. But then there was the he had seven targets today in practice report that underdog aggregated which was like equally silly.
52:27I I do >> Well, see that's isn't that bearish?
52:30Like him getting seven.
52:32>> Well, everyone talks about the joint practices are you know, more like I feel like like yeah, I would hope Carnell
52:39Tate got seven targets [laughter] in practice, you know, like >> No, it's like I think in a joint practice setting tracking the steps.
52:46Anyway, it's it's all silly to me like it's this guy either Cam Ward. I think Tate is like a going to be a kind of
52:53instant professional. Maybe he's not like he's not the neighbors type guy that you would go this high.
52:59>> He that's definitely his profile.
53:00>> That's his profile. And so it's it's really like is Ward bad enough to completely derail that or do you have
53:08>> Well, it's the Wandale thing, man. Like, we all And two, the fact that Wale Wand's in Wale is only playing in the
53:14slot.
53:14>> Then he got paired with Dable. Like, it's all very concerning.
53:18Who Who is Who'd you get tonight?
53:20>> Drake May got got taken, but Jaden Daniels is in the seventh round is kind of a smash as well.
53:25>> Yeah, it is. Dude, um I have very little Daniels, but it's not because I don't want any Daniels.
53:31>> You know, you know me very well. Like Daniel says so much upside, but you know, I'm just like always like,
53:36>> you know, he's going to get hurt.
53:37>> I'm a risk limiter. I always quote, "No, he's going to get hurt."
53:42So, I just Well, was it four discreet injuries for Jaden last year? Uh Jada was a talk about a huge humble pie for
53:50me as a >> Me too.
53:52>> So, first as a rookie, >> I don't normally play the he's going to get hurt game, but I did with Jaden as a
53:55rookie because he took so many hits in college and it was just outrageous. But, uh, he didn't get hurt. [laughter] >> Didn't get hurt. And then I was like,
54:04"Wow, we're just totally wrong on that."
54:05Until we were totally right then last year. And four discreet injuries is a lot. Uh, but Daniels, it's weird. I actually did have some of as a rookie
54:16>> because the the profile was just he was barely going as a QB1, you know, and it's not the kind of profile that
54:23normally falls outside the top 12 at quarterback where a guy who both it's so rare. I feel like it's rarer than ever
54:28to have a dual threat who both actually runs and is like actually accurate and he >> Yeah. And he's got a great deep ball.
54:35>> Yes.
54:35>> Dean Davis is really good. He's a really good quarterback.
54:38>> He's amazing. Um, yeah, really really hope he stays healthy.
54:41>> And I I am not against taking because it's quarterback, too. If there's any position where you can absorb, you know,
54:47like a really serious injury for your team, it would be quarterback. And, you know, we're not in the business of predicting injuries because it's
54:54football. Any snap, any player could be out for the year. Except for, by the way, I predict injuries all the time.
55:01>> I'm not going to sit here and lie to the audience.
55:05>> It's kind of my thing.
55:06>> Yeah, it's [laughter] kind of my thing.
55:08Especially Luther Burton.
55:12>> Especially Luther Burton. You were doing a Luther Burton breakdown like maybe two or three weeks ago and it was as if he
55:19had just retired. Like you were doing a retrospective on his injury riddled career and how he was so talented but just never got there.
55:29>> First time, you know, this happened and then he did get hurt. Like I I did I did a huge spiel on him and then he got hurt
55:35like a day later. by the way, not to like to quote take credit for that because I don't want to take credit for
55:42that.
55:42>> Bill here is pretty nice. Uh >> he's stacked with uh this is kind of one of these bet on the offense plays with
55:50with Daniel.
55:51>> Yeah, I like that. I like that. I trust the sidekick is what I trust.
55:54>> Yeah, >> Burden. I actually I really I do not think Luther Burton is injuryprone and that there's something in his genetics
56:03that make him more likely to suffer like a strained calf or a hamstring. I do think he's injuryprone after watching him so much in Missou
56:12plays the game >> got a little scataboo in him. Yeah, he's got a little scataboo in him and um you know, fairly rudimentary route tree as
56:21well where he's someone who needs like full health and so it's not even just that he misses games is he's frequently
56:27playing at less than full health and that's just why I just I' I've not been into him as an NFL player.
56:34>> You've you've compared him to Percy Harvin.
56:36>> I just think I >> which is kind of both bearish and bullish.
56:39>> It is. It is. It is very much both.
56:42>> Yeah. I think that to me was kind of illuminating because you're like, "Yeah, okay." Like it makes me understand the
56:48type of player that I'm betting on, which >> he's so rugged. He's so explosive, but he's very rugged in both good and bad
56:55ways.
56:55>> And I think actually I said Tootton was my highest own player last year. I don't think that's true. I think he was my
56:59highest running back and Burton was my highest known player because I felt like when you're getting him, you know, in the ninth, sometimes 10th, 11th round,
57:06he >> that was not a catastrophe last year.
57:08>> No, I mean, he scored great at the end of the season. He was on Sam Sherman's winning BBM team because uh he put up
57:15like 30 points in the final >> and that's like I mean if you can have a guy that comes on down the stretch like
57:21that >> that's pretty amazing if you can get him in the ninth or 10th round or the 11th or 12th you know depending on when you
57:28were taking him but I have had a hard time getting overweight this year when you see he he went here at the 407
57:35if he's in the fifth round that feels a little bit more palatable to me but it's been hard for me to to really go all in
57:42on him. As much as I do see the upside, I think there is some downside with him this year.
57:46>> And that is the thing. I mean, it's possible even with even though he's currently injured, I could be underrating like he might just figure
57:54out how to stay healthy. He might get better at >> that last unnecessary hit, he just doesn't just doesn't >> and he might be the number one receiver
58:02on the Bears and they score a ton of points. Like he could really >> set the single season record. Uh, Jaden
58:08Reed's fallen way past ADP.
58:12>> I love Conception, but I don't know if we need a second Brown.
58:17>> That's [laughter] true.
58:18>> Um, >> I think we I mean, if we >> if we c we could potentially end up taking both, although we might move to
58:25different needs. So, do you want to read?
58:27>> If you prefer Reed the If you prefer to listen to the sidekick, >> I prefer Reed on this ADP value. He's,
58:34you know, in a much better offense. One of these seasons, Jaden Reed is going to be good. I can feel it.
58:41>> I mean, he is he is good.
58:44>> That was a Jaden Reed has never been good joke by me.
58:46>> Well, he's he's been a BBM winner, too.
58:48He was got him. Yeah, he was on as a rookie.
58:51>> He was a 15th round pick and he was on for Heidi's team.
58:55>> Wow. I mean, it's not surpris He is that kind of guy. He talk about better in baseball. Like, I don't know when I'm
59:00going to need Jaden Reed. I'm glad I don't have to decide.
59:03>> Yeah. Yeah. It's great not to know when.
59:05>> Yeah. I'm glad the computer can quote the computer can just decide when I when I have Jaden Reed.
59:14>> I do know how best baseball works by the way. [laughter] >> I know for the computer to to decide.
59:24>> Anyways, >> it's like the most basic computer technology >> and it really this one you could have done without the computer.
59:31>> I don't know why we need to build a data center just for basketball.
59:35UD has got I had more faith in the future of UD as a company if they started investing less in their data
59:40center build. [laughter] >> So I just don't think they need that much quote compute.
59:46>> I don't think they need that much compute.
59:49>> I don't know why we had to divert the Mississippi [laughter] this river hit my lineup this week.
59:56>> Yeah, this diversion project near my house has been I've been a little skeptical of this one. I lived at the
60:02confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers.
60:07Not a joke.
60:08>> Uh Concaid would have been >> at least I used to until it was drained for data centers. Um >> should we take the replacement level
60:14guy?
60:15>> Yeah, probably. [laughter] >> How do you feel about Worthy? How do you feel about Worthy by the way?
60:20>> Worthy. I mean, I'm into I like Worthy.
60:21I think structurally the fourth running back's the better play.
60:25>> Yeah, take Chuber.
60:26>> Talk about a guy who will hit the lineup.
60:28>> Let's chew it up.
60:29>> Chuber. Chuber.
60:31Um, >> by the way, [laughter] >> he's got such a delightful name.
60:37>> It does because I I thought it was Chubba when he came in and Chubba Hubard sounded cooler at first, but I I like I
60:46like Chuba better. I'll tell >> I like Chuba better. And as everyone knows who's ever heard me do, I can't get over doing the Massachusetts Chuber
60:52accent joke [laughter] with him. Or the John Kennedy, I guess it's shame, more than master >> tuber.
60:57>> Chuber.
60:59>> Um, >> what are you going to say about him? How does how does how does Leno pronounce Chuba Hover?
61:03>> Chuba. Chuba. [laughter] >> Chuba.
61:06>> Chuba. Well, you've heard it. Chuba.
61:08Chuba's name.
61:13>> Kevin Eubanks just laughs. He doesn't say anything. [laughter] >> Anyone heard of this Chuba? No. The audience does not know who Kevin Eubanks
61:23is. I can guarantee [laughter] that.
61:25>> Is he the Was he the drummer? Is he the >> He was a guitar player. He player. He sat there with
61:30>> Yeah, the guitar player >> with the axe in his hands.
61:32>> That's right.
61:33>> Paul Schaefer sat at the keys for David Letterman.
61:39>> I was thinking of Max Max Weinfeld at >> Max Max Weinberg.
61:43>> Weinberg.
61:44>> He sat at the Skins for Conan. By far the best show. By far the best band leader.
61:48>> Yep. He was the drummer. Um, by the way, before I completely forget, just just to circle all the way back to
61:56to the HANA conversation at 210, I'm in.
62:00I just it's like when I think about uh these guys, if you're taking him ahead of Bowowers, if you're taking him ahead
62:06of Walker, taking him ahead of, you know, AJ Brown, it's like I see even even neighbors, frankly, I see like the
62:15it's just hard for me to see how he smashes where I can see some of the upside for those guys a little more clearly.
62:21>> I just feel like he's such a good player. He's >> He's very good.
62:24>> I try not to boil it down to bet on talent cuz that's silly and overly silly.
62:29>> No, it's not. It's like my whole thing.
62:31>> Yeah. [laughter] I bet a Chan is to me is a don't overthink it and bet on talent player in the early second round.
62:37>> I feel I feel you there.
62:38>> I because I you thankfully you don't have to do it in the first round.
62:41>> To me it's the late second round where that's like when it when I just >> I am willing to do early second round. I
62:46feel like I'm getting a I feel like I'm getting a mid first rounder in the second round when I do that.
62:51>> And I get it. From a talent perspective I think you are. You could be you could easily be doing a sm like smash cuts of
62:59me in September though >> saying like I just feel like we're not we don't have enough humility when it comes to projecting all-time bad
63:06offenses and this after the Dolphins have been like shut out twice [laughter] in their first three games.
63:12>> Well, I worry about with the Dolphins, it's not just all-time bad inefficiency.
63:16I worry about the attitude. All that stuff we talked about with the Browns, I worry about that honestly even more with
63:22the Dolphins where >> I do I worry about >> defensive head coach.
63:26>> Well, Monkin's at least an offensive mind.
63:28>> Yeah. All right. Speaking of offensive minds, Patrick Crane. Um >> Aaron Jones I honestly think is quite a good pick here.
63:34>> I'm totally out on the senior by the way.
63:37>> Okay. Marshon Lloyd.
63:38>> It is your life. I'm in on Lloyd if you can believe it or not.
63:41>> All right. Let's do Lloyd.
63:42>> All right. But if you need for portfolio purposes if you need senior. All right.
63:46You think?
63:47>> No, I don't need senior. As you can see, my portfolio honestly doesn't need senior at all.
63:51>> You need less senior.
63:52>> I need less senior. [laughter] The psychic still wants senior. No, I'm the Dolphins are at least they're starting over. They're going through the
64:02the the fires of purification. We're rebuilding our roster from the ground up. Whereas the Browns are in this really weird limbo where like a guy they
64:11literally talked about in the past tense all last year is now the starting quarterback. Like just talk about like all time bad vibes. Like I don't know
64:20I've ever >> I'm with you there. I'm with you.
64:22>> They have It's weird because they have legitimate talent but the vibes I just don't know how the vibes could get
64:28worse. um for like >> it was so weird that Monkin came out and was like like yeah that pref press conference was whack like what was he
64:38talking about anyway he's our starter >> I know [laughter] what >> I know man things are just so messed up there were the Dolphins kind of like my
64:48St. Louis Cardinals, they at least committed to the bit like of we're we are rebuilding. We are actually doing the rebuild.
64:54>> If you're monking, how do you so you your choices and let's make our pick and then I'll do my monkey. I at this point
65:01I think we should take senior.
65:02>> I take senior. That's fine.
65:03>> He's in this is the 12th round.
65:05>> You got to anytime you can get Aaron Jones in the 12th round. I always tell my kids you do have to do it.
65:10>> You do have to do it. Um we took one running back through four. Uh two running backs through seven. So, I
65:18think, you know, getting getting a little triple running back here in the 10th through 12th helps the team.
65:24Um, all right. So, yeah, Todd Todd Monin. Okay, here here was his off seasonason kind of laid out like this.
65:30John Horbaugh and I think the Maras thought Monkin was going to be the offensive coordinator of the Giants if they hired John.
65:40>> Makes a lot of sense, >> right?
65:41>> Would have been a good outcome.
65:43>> Yeah. And in that case, you go work with Jackson Dart, who has some concerns, but is not Deshaawn Watson and is not
65:52Jador Sanders. So you you at least you have something to build around there.
65:56You have Malik Neighbors coming back.
65:58>> He's he's not he's also not Lamar Jackson, but he's he is a dual threat.
66:01>> He's a dual threat. You could have you could have done kind of your your Baltimore thing in New York and it
66:07probably would have worked out a lot better than than what Matt Naggie's got.
66:10I mean, Matt Naggie like literally couldn't figure out how to use Mitch Trabiscy as >> Matt Egg's got like diffused an atomic
66:17bomb offense.
66:19>> Like dude, you got to simplify whatever this [ __ ] is.
66:22>> Yeah. like I don't know what you're doing but uh you don't have the components to build an a bomb here
66:29>> and you need to dial it back a little bit like you've got some firecrackers and that's about it. So, so obviously
66:36for Mon it's like he wants an opportunity to be a head coach. Uh he's moving away from Lamar Jackson and towards Jackson Dart which is bad. Then
66:44he maybe if that goes bad he probably never gets a chance. So sort of a bird in the hand situation take the head
66:49coaching job. I kind of get but how do you not go I'm only taking this job if you agree to bring in another
66:57quarterback. like we have to get one of free Tua which apparently maybe would have been even worse than what they have.
67:04>> Somehow it would have been worse.
67:06>> Somehow that would have been worse.
67:08>> But you would have you know you would have say like there's there's got to be somebody Gino Smith like whatever.
67:16>> How is there not Flacco is what I don't get?
67:18>> Flacco.
67:19>> How is there not Flacco?
67:20>> You trade you trade for M. Jones like >> what? Whatever you know you get. I mean, maybe they just couldn't get Kyler
67:27Murray because he was he was free.
67:28>> They probably could not have gotten Kyler.
67:30>> They would had to trade for the contract, which they can't do. So, they Kyler wasn't really an option, but but
67:36something like you're like, "Here's my list. You know, here's what I think is reasonable. Here's what I think is is possible.
67:42I will take this job, but you have to guarantee me that we're getting one of these guys because I'm not coaching a
67:47team with Deshaawn Watson as my quarterback. And I don't care what the contract is. I don't care how much you guys decide to pay him before I got
67:55here. I'm not coaching him. How does he not make that? Like it's this is crazy.
67:59Like >> I guess he you know I guess he knew he wasn't in the position and in his mind maybe if he goes
68:04>> but he was cuz then just go coach the Giants offense. I don't think you had a backup.
68:08>> If he goes seven and 10 he's going to be hailed as like the biggest Browns football genius of all time. And then
68:14they can get a real quarterback.
68:15>> So we have Chuba and McMillan here. Do you want to take Desmond Ritter? I mean um uh Bryce Young.
68:21>> Yes. I guess we have no [laughter] choice.
68:23>> Yeah, it was quite the cell there.
68:25>> We have no choice. Yeah, I know. Wow, we got actually good Desmond Ritter. Now I'm feeling [laughter] pretty good about
68:31this.
68:33>> He He's like, "What if Desmond Ritter were good?" I'm like, I [laughter] >> still think he would be bad.
68:39>> He wouldn't be good.
68:40>> Yeah, he would still be bad.
68:41>> Desmond Ritter, dude. But I I mean Monkin I think he he I think reasonably went by the there's only 32 of these
68:50jobs principles. Even if they forced Deshawn Watson down my throat to begin my tenure, like I'm going to be able to
68:58figure it out. I can like talk them out of it. Like when it fails, then I'll move on to the real thing, you know,
69:04type of deal. I think he just I I think correctly abide by there's only 32 of these jobs principally.
69:11>> Yeah. And and Tony is his only chance to be a head coach, which I agree with, but like >> you know what? Like when you have a a
69:18legacy like >> Yeah. You don't want >> Do you want a a one and done year with Deshun Watson?
69:24>> Yeah. See, Deshun Watson's now on your Wikipedia.
69:27>> Yeah, dude.
69:27>> Yeah, that's not >> Yeah, great job. You got to take the job. [laughter] >> How could you have turned that down?
69:32>> No, he to be clear, he did. He did have to take it. But >> I He definitely has some Aryans energy
69:40like the way like Bruce Arens came into Arizona as an old guy but somehow had all the energy.
69:48>> Hawinson would have helped the team quite a bit. He goes, >> "Do we have a tight end?"
69:53>> We don't. I don't think we panic though.
69:56We're going to take like four or five to close.
69:57>> Don't panic. Um >> I think Rogers is probably a pretty solid pick.
70:01>> Wow. He admit it.
70:03>> He admit it.
70:04>> Let's do it. He's going to he's going to start all year. He helps.
70:07>> He is. Yeah. You're getting Well, this guy's overdue for a frozen Favre season, isn't he?
70:14>> Frozen Favre.
70:14>> Frozen Favre is why I refer to Brett Favre's last season. You know, where he was like wheeled off the field on a
70:20gurnie. Do you remember the wheel? It was like a wheelbarrow. [laughter] >> I think I'm misremembering part of that.
70:26But >> no, that sounds exactly right.
70:32>> Wheelbarrow. He remember when he broke his jaw, they were like, "Weield him off the field." I don't think it was a cart.
70:37It was something weird.
70:38>> They peeled him off the field and put him in a wheelbarrow.
70:42>> It's a different time. [laughter] To be clear, it wasn't a wheelbarrow.
70:48>> That's 1950.
70:49>> Yeah, it was the 50s. They just put the players in wheelbarrows then.
70:53>> All right. I'm now googling Brett Favre.
70:55Whe >> it was a I think it was a weird cart. It was a cart.
71:01We never did auto autofill. [laughter] >> Are you serious?
71:04>> There is no Here's what the AI overview is, which as we know is not accurate, but [laughter] there is no direct
71:10connection or famous historical event linking Brett Favre to a wheelbarrow.
71:15>> That's fair. [laughter] That's I I got to give props to the AI on that one. [laughter] >> The AI just smacked that down.
71:23>> AI hit that out of the park.
71:28I I don't say this lightly, but uh but well done AI.
71:31>> Yeah, I'm gonna say Brett.
71:33>> We got to hand it to AI on that one.
71:34>> Brett Favre Jaw. We do um even Brett Favre Jaw is not really returning anything.
71:42We'll find it later.
71:44>> Brett Favre Cart Vikings.
71:47>> Yeah, the Aliens comp is good. I I do agree. I wish he was just in a better situation. Although, you know,
71:54uh Jamus was was kind of shaky at that time. But >> he's coming in with a good um >> Speaking of Jamus, why not just bring in
72:03Jamus? That would be infinitely better.
72:05Jamus is an infinitely better quarterback than Deshun Watson.
72:08>> He's too busy to cover in the World Cup for some reason, for some unknown reason. [laughter] >> Uh don't worry, Pat, we didn't wait too
72:15long at tight end. We can still draft Greg Doulich. We actually, I gotta be honest, this is how desensitized I've become to baseball. As I saw these tight
72:24ends, I was like, "Oh, this is actually kind of better than I was expecting."
72:28Doulich and Kenyan Sadi. You kidding me?
72:31We're rich.
72:32>> We're rich.
72:34>> We have uh this guy here probably WON'T OH MY GOD.
72:36>> OH MY GOD. He did snipe us.
72:38>> What the What's happening?
72:40>> He must be watching the stream, man.
72:41>> He is watching the stream. I was about to pull up his team and now I'm not going to. I'm not even going to talk
72:45about your team because you sniped us on Ditch. I was going to talk about your team. Uh [laughter] Sadique has the
72:49higher 80.
72:50>> I would say go Sadik.
72:51>> Let's go Sadique. We're more likely to get Atten coming back.
72:54>> Talk about Sadique. Like betting on talent. Catastrophic situation. Highly dubious on the player. But what round is it? We're getting what the number 16
73:04overall pick. Like >> that's just like a classic you got.
73:08>> I actually am gonna talk about this guy's team just to say this. So he said, "How do you like my McBride Bowers
73:12build?" Which is why I didn't think he would take Doulich. Um, and then he goes, "Fuck, I timed out and got shuck
73:18when I didn't need him." [laughter] >> That's fair.
73:24>> Yeah, the Doulish thing is utterly catastrophic.
73:27>> Oh, he sniped this on May, too. Jake's been sniping us non-stop.
73:29>> Utterly May Nixon Shuck.
73:33>> Utterly does not come back.
73:37>> Fri's here. Charlie Kar, where are you at on the Colar Express?
73:41>> The Colar The Colar thing, man. Lots of people I respect, you know, aboard the Colar Express. Um, but can't say I'm go
73:50aboard like, you know, it's kind of late. Uh, I've already I'm done drinking tonight. You guys go ahead without me.
73:57Uh, I'm not getting on the Colar Express.
74:00>> I feel you.
74:01>> I mean, even if he leads and snaps, it's like, who? So, you know, like, which I think he probably will, but is he really
74:09is he like for real? What is your overunder for Charlie Coler receptions?
74:14I'd still put it like 19 and a half.
74:16>> No, it'd be pretty it'd be higher than that. Let me do Are you good with Fryouth?
74:20>> I am good with Frymouth actually because I never understood how he wasn't more involved last year and then he did get
74:25more involved late.
74:26>> Rogers had a lot of positive comments on him. Now we've got a six stack now >> with Rogers and Frier Moose. So
74:34>> that's an unbeatable stack, man. You're saying >> this is this is what is advancing this team.
74:39>> So like Noah Gray had 21 receptions. I think he easily clears that. Uh Tommy Tremble had 27 receptions. I think he
74:47clears that.
74:47>> 27 and a half maybe is a good over on.
74:50>> I would take the over. I take the trim line. I would take the over on 30.
74:54>> Really?
74:54>> Yeah.
74:55>> Elijah Higgins had 30 receptions left.
74:57>> Wait, he has 10 Does he have like 10 career receptions though?
75:01>> It's It's not a lot, but he's in a role where they're actually throwing to him.
75:05So, >> I just have a hard time believing like they're going to be able to stick to not throwing to a Ronda Gadston and then
75:12David and Jooku.
75:13>> They're not going to be playing Aronda Gadson.
75:15>> I I am very skeptical on that. I know.
75:18Talk about catastrophic coach quotes, but like >> did you All right, here for this is a I just read this coach quote once a week.
75:25I have it pinned in uh in our rankings chat.
75:28>> It's about as bad as I've ever seen.
75:31>> Here we go.
75:32>> Not going to sugar not going to downplay it. This is from Jim Harbaugh, and I know most of the people watching this
75:36have heard this already from me doing this like last week, but I'm doing it.
75:40I'm gonna keep doing it. Uh Jim Harbaugh on how the development in Ronda Gatson's game is coming along. Good. Really good.
75:48He's got two great players in Charlie Kar and David and JJoku to model that with how they approach blocking and the
75:53physicality at the position and also be very effective pass catchers and route runners. I think that's something that has really clicked and helped the
75:59reonda. Something to aspire to. If one man does something, then another man can see it, learn from it, and then do it.
76:08>> Yeah. Uh it doesn't sound like he was a big fan of the Gadston rookie season.
76:15It might explain why Gadston stopped doing literally anything like after Thanksgiving [laughter] >> and then they signed Colar and in Joker.
76:25>> Yeah, that too.
76:26>> And then [laughter] didn't play Gatson with the starters for like the whole summer. Listen, I admit it doesn't look good, [laughter] but uh
76:35I kind of think it's a classic once the games get for real. Can you really overlook that kind of pass catcher at
76:42the Titans? I I I'm skeptical they're going to be able to follow through on that. I am. I wish I were kidding, but
76:48I'm not.
76:49>> I'm pretty into Cooper here. Get the uh the sixth receiver on the team, first round pick in the 17th round.
76:56>> The Cooper thing has gone like way too far. Um the fading of Cooper.
77:00>> The fading. Yeah.
77:01>> Yeah. Like who cares if he's played with like the second or third stream like he's a rookie. Like it's funny.
77:07>> Also, he's not anymore.
77:08>> Yeah. Yeah. I know. He's not anymore.
77:10And like he's he's a first round pick.
77:12Like you you can't just say first round pick mic drop, but you can do that at this part.
77:18>> Yeah, you can. You usually can't.
77:20>> But at pick 200, you're allowed to.
77:22>> Yes. Like >> in 199 you got to be like, well, you know, he's fine as he would. But at 200,
77:26you just go first round pick. So many of the most surprising fantasy seasons ever have been first round rookie wide receivers who supposedly didn't have
77:36good training camps, you know, like I mean I know it hasn't worked out as much in recent years, but I feel like that's
77:42a pretty established trope.
77:44>> It's it's one of the I mean and and getting it like at pick 200 you don't need him to be one of those guys. You
77:51need him to be like have a Jan Datson season and we're we're >> golden.
77:56>> Would we be happy? Darius Tony, >> would we be happy if 40 receptions or is that too few?
78:01>> I mean, if he scores touchdowns and it and like group them. Group those receptions. Don't don't do a couple a
78:08game, you know? Group them.
78:10>> Um >> 40 would be pretty low for a first round receiver.
78:13>> It would be, but I think, you know, as long as he's got some spike weeks in there. And like by spike weeks, I mean
78:17like score 19 points a couple times.
78:19>> Yeah, that's cool. Because I mean the fact that he almost literally doesn't have an ADP like I've got >> pretty wild man.
78:27>> So many Yeah.
78:28>> Who do you like on of these tight ends?
78:29Because I think that's where we're headed next. But >> Ingram I mean do we need [laughter] to add Aaron Rogers double tight end stack?
78:38>> In all honesty I would be totally down.
78:41I think we were less like hoping for some tight end production.
78:45>> I think that's where I would le I mean I never understood why Evan Ingram was so bad last year. I'll say, but that does
78:51>> we could take Ingram. I don't think Washington >> do the double stack. I would do the double stack.
78:57>> Okay, we'll >> Does Ingram still have >> go so late? We could >> Does Ingram have any upside left whatsoever?
79:04>> He's had he's had like a pretty good camper. They're talking about using him.
79:07Are you out on Waller, by the way?
79:09>> No, actually I'm not. We have Bryce, don't we?
79:12>> We have Bryce. I do hit Waller. Yeah, but I >> mean, well, we'll get a few games. He'll be on our lineup what, four or five
79:18times, maybe.
79:20if he scores touchdowns last year.
79:22>> Maybe three or four.
79:24>> I Waller was probably the pick there because I know you you kind of sold me like you can't be taking zeros ever and
79:32we're going to get a lot of zeros from Darren Waller, but he's kind of like a special case. I feel like
79:38>> it's not I mean the zero thing Shady always talks about this like your best lineup autofills a starting lineup and
79:46everyone else is a zero. So, it's not that you can't have guys not hit your lineup because >> a lot of them don't. It's it's that you
79:54don't want to head into the final and have guys not be live to score points for >> Yeah. You have to have as few zeros as
80:03possible heading into >> heading in. Yeah.
80:06>> Heading into the final rounds there, >> right? And of course in week 15 and 16, you have to win three straight single
80:12week tournaments. So having as much firepower that could realistically score and of course like you know if you have a guy who's not technically a zero but
80:20he's projecting for like half a point you know that's functionally you drop a zero.
80:26>> So we need we need the Waller CF poll to come in September. We need him to be get healthy around Thanksgiving and then for
80:35whatever reason but you know even though they're out of the playoffs they they got to get Darren Waller going down the
80:40stretch. you know, that's a really important goal for them [laughter] >> after Thanksgiving.
80:45>> There was like a little talk of like, oh, you know, he's not a lock for the roster type stuff, which made me
80:50nervous, but it seems like he's >> that would be stunning. I mean, that would be >> Yeah, it seems like he's been
80:54>> I feel like you're not going to the trouble of signing Darren Waller if he's not going to make >> I agree.
81:00>> So, do we need another tight end? Is that >> Yeah, we we should. If we can get the double up here, I think we do it.
81:05>> Wow. So, how lucky are we that it's coming back around to us? Wow. This guy before us is a total slappy. He didn't
81:12do Darnell Washington.
81:13>> They're letting us get Darnell Washington in the 19th [laughter] as our second Steelers tight end. Is this game is beatable?
81:21>> I was going to say, is it always this easy? [laughter] >> Man, there's giving money away down the DK basketball store.
81:31>> They really are. And then Ingram would be a solid pick, but also Jeremy Bernard. Where you at on Bernard?
81:36Another guy I'm taking. I gotta be honest. I love me some Germy.
81:39>> Okay.
81:42>> He's another guy.
81:42>> Germy. I've been saying Jeremy.
81:44>> No, it's Jeremy.
81:45>> Okay. [laughter] >> But it's spelled Germy. And I can't get over saying Germy. It be a top 50 pick.
81:52And like essentially there is no ADP.
81:55>> That's just not typical. And >> really isn't.
81:59>> Is there is there really that big of a difference between Deshawn dribbling and G?
82:04>> Ah, there goes Germy. That's >> I was tempted to take Germy as a as a pick.
82:10>> I think we could.
82:10>> Yeah. No one was gonna take No one was gonna take No one was taking the Terminator.
82:16>> We did kind of botched that.
82:18>> We totally botched him. We should have taken. [laughter] >> No one was taking He's to He's going to He would have gone undrafted. Like he
82:24wouldn't have gone.
82:25>> The double Titan stack I think sounded too good.
82:27>> It sounded too fun. I I had I just like I needed it to happen.
82:30>> Too good. That was the rare contentbased pick. As bummed [laughter] as bummed as I am that we didn't get Germy, I'm still
82:38so happy that we got both tight ends.
82:39>> Me too. Um >> and Demario Douglas pop Douglas.
82:42>> Denny is talking up pop like all the we have to keep cutting his mic.
82:47>> That is a full cut his mic.
82:49>> It is [laughter] >> type especially because Denny's normally talking reddraft, not baseball. He's saying pop Douglas for reddraft leagues.
82:56>> Yeah, he's saying pop and reddraft. I believe >> they cut his mic. I I know he's been on, not to throw my guy under the bus, he's
83:03been on a bit of a cold streak this summer because at first he was part of he was leading the nine and on brigade
83:09for JJ.
83:10>> Oh yeah. Yeah.
83:11>> And then he was for some reason leading the Tua brigade and >> well >> he had he's had some unforced L's like
83:19usually if Denny takes an L it's like a it was like a he he he died valiantly type of deal. I
83:27>> Well, pretending you you were in Greece was another I'm surprised you didn't lead with with pretending you went to Greece.
83:35>> That That was a huge owl. But that's just something a sick person does.
83:39>> That picture is unbelievable. [laughter] >> Like actually like unbelievable in a like I don't believe >> literally unbelievable. literally unbelievable
83:48>> that you know Denny's eyes lit up like like a fast ball coming down the middle when he saw a picture of it looking like
83:55he it was so fake that he was injur I got I'm going to pull up I I >> he knew what he was doing when he posted
84:03that >> you know he claims that he was just into portrait mode he found portrait mode for the first time in 2026 but [laughter] I
84:12somehow don't find that >> it's cuz he doesn't he doesn't have any young kids anymore. We have young kids.
84:18So, we're we're hitting the portrait mode all the time.
84:21>> Yeah. Yeah. I'm gonna find this picture because I for anyone who hasn't seen it, it's it's really amazing.
84:28>> It is worth.
84:28>> Um I'll recap the team quickly first.
84:31So, we have Jaden Daniels who we we stacked up with Jakori Kroski Merritt is a kind of a bet on the offense. Uh don't
84:38have any receivers of his.
84:39>> So, when you stack Jaden Daniels, you always do it with his early down running back. Well, and you know, I'll tell you,
84:44I think I see the path for this team, and it's the commanders are really underpriced, especially when you can get the starting running back and the dual
84:52threat quarterback in the seventh and then eighth round.
84:55>> That works.
84:55>> And then you get you get these quarterbacks who don't score super well over the course of the season, Bryce Young and Aaron Rogers, but you get some
85:04spikes late >> because you got the stacks there. You got Tedo McMillan, Darren Waller. Uh, we didn't get Germy, but we got both tight
85:12ends for Aaron Rogers.
85:13>> We have a record amount of late stacks, by the way, with this team.
85:17>> It's It's uh And then we have the Jets stuff without the quarterback, too. We did We did tackle on some
85:22>> That actually might be wise. Yeah.
85:24>> Yeah.
85:25>> Uh, so that's the quarterback room.
85:26We've got Kenneth Walker, Quinnon Judkins, Bill Chuba, Marshon Lloyd, and Aaron Jones at running back. And then at receiver, Ammon St. Brown, Devonte
85:36Smith, Tedro McMillan stacked up with Bryce Young, Carnell Tate, Jaden Reed, Omar Cooper, and Pop Douglas could have been.
85:44>> The receiver room is pretty sick.
85:46>> The receiver room is sick. And then Sadiq, both tight ends for the Steelers.
85:51And Darren Waller, tight ends, uh, we're going to need a little help.
85:54>> We did. We need one more running back, too, or was that >> No, I think we're good at running back.
85:58All right, tight end. We're going to really need uh we're going to need Sadi Sadien. We're going to need surprising >> Sadixisen.
86:08>> Yes. Yes. We're going to need surprising first half of the season from Or we're going to need Brady Cook to unlock
86:14Sadique for the second half year.
86:16>> I've been scrolling on Denny's Blue Sky.
86:18I am six days into the past. [laughter] >> I know.
86:22>> I know, man. He's got a problem.
86:26He's got a problem. haven't made it a week. [laughter] >> No, he's got a problem.
86:31>> When I looked I was like I was like cuz what month is what month did he go? I was looking down expecting to see like
86:36July 31st >> six days ago.
86:39>> I'm scrolling under just media and I'm still >> huge error not to do.
86:45>> It was a huge error. But I've been scrolling for about 10 seconds and I've only made it seven days.
86:50>> Oh my god. This is I'm now 16. I I'm I can't switch to media because it'll take I'll have to rescroll.
86:57>> Dude, just media even this guy. Denny, you need to post a little less. We're >> all right. So, I'm now
87:05>> 20 day. I'm 20 days.
87:07>> Hold on. I'm trying to find the picture.
87:09It says me in the morning after drinking three hard seltzers. It's the [laughter] video of Aaron Rogers crawling on the sideline.
87:21I made it 26 days.
87:23>> How when was this is He was in Greece in like June, right?
87:25>> It was like over a month ago. No, it was late July.
87:29>> Okay.
87:30>> July. We're going to find it.
87:31>> The summer is all blending together.
87:33We're going to find this. I refuse to to We're ending the stream with Denny's fake picture.
87:37>> The fakest picture of anyone in history.
87:40Denny who claims he doesn't even know what AI is.
87:43>> Yeah. Yeah. Right.
87:45>> Talk about the the Missouri River. The the Mississippi rivers being used to put Jaden Reed in our line at the Missouri
87:50rivers being used to [laughter] make Denny look like he's in Greece.
87:54>> Why are both the rivers by my house have gone dry. I can't figure it out. Yeah.
87:58All this scrolling. I just used a billion gallons of Missouri River water.
88:04>> It's really quite unfort.
88:05>> It's like I swear it's like I've literally seen three different pictures of the January 6 insurrection.
88:12>> Dude, this is going and going and going and going. Okay, I found it.
88:17>> All right, >> I found it.
88:18>> Can you share your screen?
88:20>> I can. Hold on. I can as I >> I'm still nowhere near this picture.
88:23>> All right, I'll share my screen. Hold on. We'll pull up the Denny. Uh, how do I do this? Share screen. There we go.
88:31Share screen. Got to select a tab. Allow posts by Denny Carter. Share with audio.
88:38Uh, don't need to. I just turned that off. There's no audio. Do you Do you have it?
88:43>> I do. Here we go. All right.
88:46Uh, gotta remove this.
88:52I mean, come on. Like, this is genuinely >> Can you Can you zoom in?
88:56>> This is genuinely fake. Like, it's genuinely genuinely fake. [laughter] There's no way this is real.
89:04>> It's not even possible that it's >> not genuinely not even It's not letting me zoom in, by the way. It's genuinely
89:09not possible.
89:11>> When I was in Malaysia, there's this museum. It's like the upside down museum. I'm sure they've got these other places, but the you go in and
89:19everything, you know, you stand, it looks like you're upside down. You take the picture and it, you know, the room's upside down. Looks like you're upside
89:25down. It's a fun little gimmick. You go do that.
89:29>> Those pictures look more real.
89:33>> I know. Come on, man. Like, it's not not even a bit. Like, it's just fake as hell. [laughter] Just why? Why would anyone fake going to
89:42Greece for three years?
89:43>> It's insulting he didn't try harder.
89:46>> Exact. I know, man. Like we expect a little effort. It's like when you're rigging something, we expect a little effort. All right. [sighs and gasps]
89:53Like you got to at least make it look That's why like you know >> I know this c I've been to DC. He went
89:59to He lives in Maryland. He went to DC.
90:00I've been to this cafe.
90:03>> The really savvy dictators when they rig a race, they give themselves like 71.2%, 2%, you know, not 97.4%.
90:11And Denny, he went full 97.4% with this photo.
90:16>> Purple says, "Truly incredible. I somehow missed this and I'm one blue sky." Yeah. How could you have possibly missed it? We had to scroll [laughter]
90:23for three days learning.
90:27>> You never You're you were never going to get there. Um if you if you're not on the media tab, you
90:32>> dude. I I didn't have a chance.
90:34>> You'll never make it.
90:34>> I didn't have a chance. [laughter] No, never. I wasn't going to make it.
90:37>> It's over. It's over.
90:41>> Was this over? It' be kind of >> I think this is over, too.

90:46>> Thanks for joining me, man. This is a fun This is a blast as always.
90:49>> No, it really is. We got to get you on our show, but now the season's about to start.

90:58down.
90:58>> Let's just go. Let's just hash this out on the air. Here, get up your schedule real quick. I was joking. [laughter]
91:06Let's do this right now. This right now.
91:08I was I don't need my schedule.
91:10I'm just going to be like, "Yeah, sure."
91:12>> Yeah. All right. Yeah. [ __ ] He just agreed.
91:17>> This is just supposed to be a bit now we >> I do need to though. And I we actually will. Let's do it.
91:22>> All right. Sounds good.
91:25>> Um Oh, this is so much fun by the way.
91:28And I I still learn a lot despite being on all day every day drafting with Pat Crane, you will always learn something.
91:35>> I I I feel the same way. You got to get the the first of all, I learn about um you know, whose career ended uh in
91:42tragedy [laughter] >> 10 years early, maybe maybe less than 10 years for Buddy Luther. But uh >> but I also Yeah, I mean it's like, you
91:50know, the sanity check element, you know, >> we it's a meeting of the mind. It's just two Yeah. two different worlds kind of
91:55colliding and Yeah.
91:58Hopefully valuable different perspectives.
92:01>> I I I think uh I hope the people agree because I certainly do.
92:04>> Hopefully they do. Hopefully they do.
92:05>> Um Emwald says, "Pat, you and Sack should do uh a showdown show in season."
92:10That's actually an interesting idea.
92:11I'll talk to Zach about that.
92:12>> That'd be interesting.
92:13>> I'm not sure if I'm doing the DFS ones this year, so maybe maybe that is what we should do. Um but we will be doing a
92:20show with Sacrilegious on Tuesday. Me and Shady Advice and Sacrilegious are going to be on for the mailbag show next Tuesday. If you got any questions, make
92:28sure you you pop in there. 3:00 p.m. uh 3:00 p.m. my time, 600 p.m. Eastern.

93:29together.
93:29>> Sick.
93:30>> That's going to be chaos. [laughter] >> That's going to be chaos. We're all getting We're The goal is to get the
93:34players that we haven't been able to convince the other people to draft early enough to actually get them on the team.
93:40So, >> amazing bit.
93:42>> Yeah. [laughter] >> Not Not a bit. It won't be.
93:44>> It's not really a bit. Yeah. Yeah, it'll be real.
93:47>> It'll be real. So, 2 pm Eastern on Wednesday. Uh, if you want to jump in that main, I I I will say there's going
93:53to be some reaches. There's going to be some reaches in that [laughter] in that league.
93:58So, uh, there might be some ADP value for you if you want to draft against us.
94:02Um, and then please check out my legendary running back article, which is, uh, the first part is live on the site now, and I narrated it for free on
