Aaron Jones

NegativeInjury3:50

Aaron Jones, the Vikings' other running back option, hasn't been able to stay healthy and is getting up there in his career. This durability concern makes him a less reliable bet compared to Jordan Mason for the Vikings backfield going forward.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveSleeper9:00

Despite not liking Boston as a prospect (two yards per route run, four-year college player), Josh Ds is willing to target him around pick 150 due to significant training camp buzz in Browns camp. Training camp reports show Boston getting open at will and catching touchdowns, creating a clearer path to fantasy starter status than other late-round receivers. Ds identifies Boston as one of the two Browns receivers likely to work out in a huge way.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveSleeper12:00

Josh Ds projects Jaylen Coker as a true 1B receiver down the stretch at picks 110–130 on Underdog, significantly underpriced relative to Ted Roy McMillan's fourth-round cost. Coker is a potential 85–90% route share player on an ascending Panthers offense. His late-season performance demonstrates upside: games of 11.2, 17.4, 14, and 16.7 PPR, plus a massive playoff game vs. Rams. A training camp injury limited his early-year ramp, but with Chris Brazelle sidelined by LCL injury and Xavier Legette unlikely to matter, Coker should command concentrated target share. Even modest offensive improvement (Panthers ranked 27th in offensive PPG last year) leaves meat on the bone unpriced in year three. Ds agrees with the market's love for Coker and is willing to make the bet on him.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeValue18:00

Josh Ds notes Brooks was one of his favorite sleeper picks initially but has since been 'steamed up' and is no longer in sleeper range, making him less of a value play at current draft cost.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

NegativeSleeper0:55

Jordan Mason, now with the Minnesota Vikings at age 27, has never posted double-digit fantasy points in a full season despite a strong 2024 run with San Francisco before injury. His efficiency metrics (yards per carry) were elite with the 49ers. The main concern is the Vikings' low red-zone rushing volume (9 inside-the-10 carries, 6 inside-the-5 in 2024), which is typical of the KOC offense. However, Josh Ds projects Mason as a sustained 15+ carry-per-game back capable of scoring 10–12 touchdowns, comparing him to Javonte Williams' archetype. Mason has been a positive rushing yards over expectation guy even in poor Vikings offenses; with improved offensive line and potential return to 2022–23 Vikings run-heavy scheme (Dalvin Cook had a legendary season in that configuration), Mason could pay off significantly. Positive camp reports from Vikings support the projection. Ds is willing to make a bet on Mason being a sustained 15+ carry-per-game type of guy.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeInjury16:48

Josh Jacobs has a groin injury reported during training camp and is currently working with Iowa trainers to recover. Combined with prior legal issues, Jacobs' availability and workload are now in question, significantly impacting the Packers backfield depth chart and creating opportunity for Marshon Lloyd.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeRole15:30

Saquon Barkley is projected to be a full workhorse running back for the Eagles, but Josh Ds notes he is older with injury concerns that create backup upside for Tank Bsby. The Eagles' elite offensive line (healthier than last year) supports Barkley's workhorse role, though Ds handicaps a 5–15% likelihood of Barkley missing time. Aging starter with injury concerns heading into the season; Josh Ds notes Barkley is older and dealing with injury issues, which creates opportunity for backup Tank Bixby if Barkley's workload is managed or he goes down.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

NegativeRole7:58

Stefon Diggs could be the number two receiver in the Commanders offense but is not a full-time type of player. Limited snap share and role depth suggest reduced fantasy upside compared to typical WR2 expectations.

0:00All right, we are about to diagnose some real fantasy football sleepers. My guy the Ladster from the fantasy stock exchange is joining me. We are going to
0:07go through players who are being drafted not as starters at the position. So at quarterback that would mean outside the top 12, top 30 at running back, top 30
0:14at wide receiver. And we are beginning with a guy I could not agree with more Danny. I mean I feel like generally guys
0:22like Josh DS who are every try and find someone who says something bad about Josh DS, you're not going to find him.
0:28How how is it that his ADP has stayed in the eighth and ninth round despite the fact that everyone loves Josh DS?
0:35>> Yeah, we were uh joking about it on your stream recently like how has he not flipped Alec Pierce by now? Gosh knows
0:41how. Like >> yeah, with Josh DS, very simple. Uh one of the jokes on the channel we had going into 2025 is anytime Bush got optimistic
0:48on Z Flowers, I always come back with, well, you know, Josh DS actually outscored him last year. Now, that unfortunately didn't end up working out
0:55in 2025. As you guys see, the points per game went down 8.5 after a 13.1 point per game year in 2024. But there's a big
1:02caveat there. We know they add Tyler Warren. We know Alec Pierce broke out as that main exceiver. We know Michael Pitman was still on the team. With
1:09Michael Pitman gone, with Alec Pierce banged up with a true opportunity at getting those 12 personnel sets, man, we could see Josh Downs explode 14, 15 plus
1:17point per game player, which should be about a wide receiver top 15 level finish if he gets there. I mean, his
1:22yards per route run and his targets per route run is the same as the 13, 14, 15 points per game players. He has kind of
1:30had the misfortune of playing with guys who ran routes in the similar area of the field as him and who were more
1:36trusted in the run game. Like, I don't think anyone actually thinks Michael Pitman Jr. is a better receiver than Josh DS. He just is probably I mean,
1:43first off, he's a veteran. He was making more money last year. And DS is he's a little guy. Like, you're not going to
1:48have him out there run blocking for Jonathan Taylor. Now this year it'll be a little bit it'll be a little bit
1:53different because the options are Nick Westbrook a Keen. I do think the team probably is going to sign Keenan Allen and I actually think that's going to
2:00hold Josh Downs ADP in check.
2:03>> Let's hope so.
2:04>> And I first Yeah, I definitely do hope so. But I think when Keenan signs Keenan in reddraft leagues will be like an 11th
2:1212th round pick. I I do think he'll get drafted in most people's home leagues.
2:16And I don't think the gap in price between Downs and Keenan is going to be that big. I I I really think he'll be
2:22outside the top 40 wide receivers. Now, if they don't sign Keenan, he's headed he is headed up like to like the Parker
2:29Washington range, I think.
2:30>> Yeah. And Parker Washington would be a good comp in terms of that over the over the middle layup type of target.
2:35Obviously, with Daniel Jones, are we going to see the same verticality out of the passing game with that torn Achilles? That's a big question I have.
2:41Alec Pierce was so damn efficient, what 47 receptions, over 1,000 receiving yards. If we don't see that same verticality, I think the Yakler in the
2:48offense, which I believe Josh Downs to be, is going to be the big benefactor.
2:51And of course, I mean, Tyler Ward goes in round five for a reason. He's going to eat, too.
2:55>> All right. A guy who I've had a hard time wrangling down, Jordan Mason running back for the Minnesota Vikings heading into his age 27 season, has
3:03never had double-digit fantasy points over the course of an entire year. There was a run for San Francisco in 2024 where it felt like, oh man, if I didn't
3:11draft Jordan Mason, like, I'm not going to win my league. He got banged up and then after he got banged up, he never
3:17really like retook his job. He ended up splitting a bunch with like Isaac Ureno.
3:21I want to say Kevin Coleman got resigned somewhere in the middle there. The big issue with Mason, I actually think if if
3:29he does start the year as the lead rusher, like I think he'll smash. I mean, his efficiency, like look at those
3:34yards per carries for the 49ers. The the only issue I have with Mason, it's actually not really much about his skill
3:40set. It's more about the Minnesota Vikings had nine running back rush attempts inside the 10 yard line last year. Like consistently the KOC offense
3:49has been low unexpected fantasy points to running back. So I it's it's kind of like do we think he can either score or
3:55do we think he can add receiving work in there? It's funny because I was actually going to cite the nine inside the 10
4:01carries and six inside the five carries from the Vikings last year as a positive regression candidate here because realistically we know how bad JJ
4:09McCarthy was.
4:10>> And even though I'm kind of less bullish on, you know, maybe what the market is, people are like, "Oh, could Kyler get
4:14back to being like a top 10 to 12 quarterback?" Like, I don't even have that as an expectation. I'm more so in
4:19the line of can he just be an average level quarterback? Because if he is, I look at Jordan Mason as of who can be
4:24this year's Javvante Williams. Who can be that big back that scores 10, 11, 12 touchdowns? To me, it would be Jordan
4:30Mason. I mean, the elephant in the room, Aaron Jones hasn't really been able to stay healthy. Aaron Jones getting up there in his career. And at this point,
4:37when I'm projecting out how the backfield can go, if I'm going to make a bet on one of these guys being a
4:41sustained 15 plus carry per game type of guy, it would be Jordan Mason. We have been getting positive drum beat out of
4:47Vikings camp. And like I said, if the offense is instead of six inside the five carries, nine inside the 10 carries, you're closer to the 20 inside
4:55the 10, 15 inside the five this year on what should be more of an average level offense. And I think Jordan Mason can
4:59pay off in a big way. On top of that, you look at the last two years, the efficiency, the tackle breaking ability.
5:04Like the offense really cratered on the Vikings last year, but Mason actually played well when he got the opportunity.
5:11>> He's always been like a positive rushing yards over expectation guy. even inside of those 49ers offenses where McAffrey was a negative rushing yards over
5:19expectation guy. Now I mean McAffrey is doing a different thing at this stage of their career and obviously I think part
5:24of the Viking stuff was the offense just wasn't very good and they were not sustaining drives and KC does have a
5:30bent towards the pass for sure. I mean I think I think we all know that. But if they go back to a like 2022, 2023 style
5:40offense, there's a lot of meat on the bone. I mean, Dvin Cook had a legendary running back season with the same
5:46configuration. I mean, a very different quarterback. I guess Kyler could steal some of the red zone stuff. Although, we also do know playing with a good running
5:54quarterback adds about half yard in terms of yards per carry, like efficiency. It's one of the big reasons why I like Jaory Kroski Merritt. And I I
6:03I think Mason and guy like going into reddraft season, I was like, I'm probably not really targeting him here, but the more I think about it, the more
6:12I think you you probably are, right? So, we we've agreed on these two. I I'm not with you on the next one. Shod signs a
6:20$2 million contract with the Washington Commanders. He's going to make less than the winner of uh a basketball mania. I I
6:26get it. I get it. You got to sell me on him being able to beat out the early down work for the commanders. Danny,
6:33>> I guess my take is just he's very trustworthy. If I had to make a bet on who's gonna get the consequential
6:37touches in the backfield because ultimately I do think it's going to be a committee whether it's Shakori Crosky Merritt taking 10 to 12 between the 20s
6:43touches whether it's Kron Allen figuring into the backfield maybe in the later portion of the year. But ultimately if I'm making the bet year or week one
6:51who's got the best bet at 14 carries, five targets out of the back field, it would be Rashad White. If I had to make
6:58the bet on who will get the goal line opportunity right away, it would be Rashad White. Now, obviously the financials didn't really dictate that.
7:04Only a $2 million contract. However, the coach speak coming out of camp has indicated that Rashad Whites look like the professional. We know he has a three
7:10down profile. And although he kind of got the stigma in Tampa Bay, you know, first couple years 3.7 3.6 yards per
7:16carry. I look at last year and he was actually quite efficient as a runner because keep this in mind last year the
7:21Tampa Bay offensive line completely combusted. I mean, Kevin Carberry, >> Kevin Carberry had nothing to work with at the end of the year given how many of
7:29those offensive linemen were getting hurt. So, ultimately with Rashad White, I think he's coming off one of his better efficiency years. And when I'm
7:34looking at this backfield, even though I think JCM is a slasher, is going to be that efficiency guy, I don't necessarily
7:40view him as a true number one in a backfield. And even though I think Kron can end up being that, ultimately, I
7:46don't think he's going to be that type of fast play. So, realistically with with Rashad White, you look at the complexion of the offense. You got your
7:52number one with Terry McLaren. You just signed Stefon Diggs. Well, Stefon Diggs last year was a sub 70% route rate type
7:58of guy. Stefon Diggs, yeah, he could be, you know, the number two receiver in this offense, but he's not a full-time
8:02type of player. I do think third long down and distance situations, third and five, the outlet out of the backfield that Rashad White represents.
8:10Ultimately, again, I mentioned with Jordan Mason, who can be this year's Devonte Williams, the ugly type of projection, nobody really wants that.
8:17>> Man, you're so right. It's such a It's such a Javvante Williams style season.
8:21Yeah.
8:22>> Yeah.
8:22>> I I >> He would fit like specific type of builds for me. It would require It would require him to be the goal lineback over
8:32anyone else on the roster. Like Kron can't do it. And I guess Chris Rodriguez Jr. being gone does make it. And if you
8:39if you hold true to this, my guess is that over the next like 10 days or so as people are are starting to do their
8:44drafts, Rashad White is going to fall in ADP a little bit and JCM is going to go up based off not much just like kind of
8:52sentiment just that JCM has been the early down back. Rashad White has been the passing down back um in camp. Now
8:59another guy that we do agree on, >> I actually did not like Boston as a prospect. I thought he was fine. I
9:06thought he was fine. you know, two two yards per route run, you know, like uh you know, four-year guy. My my stuff
9:11that I built does not like the four-year guys. He gives a pretty significant dock to to the four-year guys.
9:17>> But I also and and maybe to my detriment, I guess you could say, I'm pretty woke to training camp reports.
9:24Like I read everything. I I ingest everything. And I do think there's a big difference between everyone says everyone looks great in training camp
9:33and the way that everyone has been talking about Boston in Browns training camp and KCC who I do like as well
9:41banged up a little bit in training camp.
9:42Do you do you think they trade Judy?
9:44Like what what do you think ends up happening with Judy?
9:46>> I think ultimately they would probably keep Judy in some type of capacity.
9:50Again, you kind of do need a veteran in the room, but it's not going to preclude them from giving the better players the
9:55snaps in my opinion. you have a new coaching staff. This regime was the one that took those top two receivers. And I
10:00do think they're going to have every opportunity to make a big impact on the offense. Again, it's a young team. You
10:05want to see what these young guys are capable of. Ultimately, you have to make a decision after the year. Is Shadur
10:09going to be your guy? Obviously, we're probably going to lean no, but the team at least needs to see what happens. You
10:14have to see how Shadur works with this young offense. You have to see how these young wide receivers can operate. And
10:19again, you mentioned it, the training camp buzz right now, specifically on Boston, but I would say out of both of these Browns receivers is something that
10:25you just can't ignore. Denzel Boston, I go on my timeline, everybody's talking about, oh, this guy's the next Jesus Christ, this guy just caught three
10:32touchdowns today. This guy is getting open at will. It's like, well, maybe he's probably a good pick around the pick 150 range. And again, extending
10:39that to KCC, the reason why I'm still willing to target him. I thought he was the better prospect. I thought he's a
10:44tailor made fit for that Monk and Z Flowers type of role. So ultimately, I do think both these guys are going to
10:48kind of eat off of each other. But realistically, when we're looking at the potential wide receiver one of this room being selected after pick 110, take the
10:57shot on the guy you like. One of them is probably going to work out and work out in a huge way.
11:02>> I like taking one of them in like a ton of my reddraft like type situations. I think this year's rookie class is so
11:10interesting. You've got the three guys that you do have to pay for in Tyson, Tate, and Lemon. Although Lemon is getting a little bit cheaper, but the
11:17rest of the guys are basically free.
11:20Like Lane and Serat legit legit free.
11:22Boston, you're taking Denzel Boston over like Rashidi. I mean, no disrespect, like but but just guys who I mean, you're going to have a hard time
11:31starting them. And not that you would be starting Denzel Boston in week one either, but Boston to me has a clearer
11:37path to being a fantasy starter. one, it sounds to me like Shadur is winning the quarterback battle or maybe maybe he's
11:44just not losing it. Maybe it's just that Watson has been so bad. And if you Okay, so we have Monkin who's like a very good
11:50play caller actually. You've got at least the quarterback situation is settled and the staff knows what they're working with. Shur was basically the
11:58worst quarterback him or McCarthy last year. Maybe he gets I I you know, maybe maybe he gets a little bit better. I I
12:04wouldn't bet on it, but also like Fannon had a top five fantasy season at the tight end position with that awful
12:11quarterback play. Like generally speaking, even in the worst offense, guys can pay off. So I I do like I I actually I actually like making this bet
12:20a good bit. A bet I have a much harder time with. People love Jaylen Coker. And I don't even disagree. He did have the
12:27insane playoff game. I frankly I think Jaylen Coker is probably quite good, but I'm not even really drafting Ted Roy McMillan. I mean, he's I just think I
12:36just think he's quite expensive. So, sell me sell me on Jaylen Coker.
12:40>> Well, I think this also gets bumped up with the fact that Chris Brazelle, again, you take him in the second round
12:45this year. Maybe expectations he's going to be your main exceiver, especially in 11 personnel. He goes out with the LCL injury. Ultimately, when I look at this
12:53receiver room, unless you're projecting Xavier Legette to all of a sudden matter in the context of this offense, it's going to be a very concentrated target
13:00hierarchy. Obviously, Tedro McMillan, he's going to do his thing. But when I look at Jaylen Coker, again, first few games took him a little bit of a ramp
13:06up. Obviously had that training camp injury to start last year. Missed the big chunk of the uh of the start of the
13:11year. We see when he fully settled in games of 11.2, 17.4, four 14 16.7 obviously that massive playoff game against the Rams and how they're talking
13:20about him this off season sounds like he's going to be an integral part of this offense again not going to take
13:26anything away from Tedo McMillan but tell me with a straight face you feel a lot more confident taking Tedro McMillan in the fourth round rather than just
13:33getting Coker who was quite simply operating as a true 1B down the stretch at pick 110 120 near 130 on underdog
13:41realistically when I look at it I thought he was a very underrated prospect obviously goes undraft that had to prove himself in year one and we were
13:47truly robbed of a big-time ascension step in year two. I think that's going to be coming in year three. So, when I'm
13:52looking at the fact that I can get a potential 85 90% route shout share player on what could be an ascending
13:58offense, again, I'm not the biggest Bryce Young believer, but they were only 27th in offensive points per game last year. Even if that jumps to, let's say,
14:0522nd, 21st in year three of Jaylen Coker, year four of Bryce Young, I do think there's meat left on the bone to
14:12the point where it hasn't really been priced in yet.
14:15That is probably true. That that actually is probably true if there is any kind of improvement there. Dave Canala's fingerprints. I mean, I would
14:22have a hard time selling it. And I guess it's not that dissimilar for me wanting to draft Adnai Mitchell or Kenyan
14:28Sadique or I mean, honestly, even Bree Hall and Garrett Wilson is like they're probably going to be really bad, but in
14:33a season where Bryce, it's it's kind of true for all these bad teams. It's true for the Dolphins. It's true for the
14:39Browns. It's true for the Cardinals.
14:41give any of these bad teams cuz football's a weird sport.
14:44>> Yeah, >> a lot of times we think these teams are going to be terrible. I mean, everyone thought the Seahawks were going to be
14:48pretty bad with Sam Darnold. They thought that contract was really bad.
14:50It's a weird sport. Things happen that you can't really anticipate where teams end up being better than you think if the Panthers and the Panthers did have a
14:57negative point differential this year last year and made the playoffs. So, it would like it would be a real improvement for them. I absolutely agree
15:04with you on these final two. Tank Bsby uh on my zero running back list would be number one. Like if I was doing a zero
15:11running back, like if you're doing a zero running back build, it would be you absolutely have to take this guy. He he
15:17is absolutely mandatory anything on a on a zero running back style.
15:21>> Let me preface this. Um so these guys, these last two aren't going to be your RB3. Might not even be RB4 on your
15:28teams. Probably going to be your RB5 and your RB6. When I'm looking at a guy that I don't have to depend on on a week toe
15:33basis, all I'm prioritizing is upside.
15:35And when I look at Tank Bsby with how efficient he played last year, with how efficient he looked in his final year in
15:41Jacksonville and then I'm looking at the competition in front of him, we know Saquon Barkley full and through going to be a workhorse running back, but he is
15:49older. He has injury concerns. And if I told you remove the starter of every single offensive situation in the league, the Eagles would rank pretty
15:56high up there. Even without Jeff Stout, even without Jeff Jeff Stoutland, the fact of the matter is the offensive line will be healthier than it was last year.
16:04And ultimately when I look at Tank Bsby, why can't he be a 5.3 yard per carry, 17 carry per game type of back if sake were
16:10to go down?
16:12>> He absolutely would be. There's like I I'm trying to handicap the the likelihood of this like 10% 5% 15%.
16:19They've given a little bit of lip service to, you know, we want to leave a little bit of tread on Barkclay's tires
16:24for the postseason. We don't need to give him 300 rushes or 300 touches. I don't think anyone really thinks that Jaylen Herz is going to be throwing a
16:30ton to the running back, so that's not a big part of it. think maybe they do scale Barkley down to more like 15
16:36rushes per game and and in weeks where they're favored by nine and a half points. Maybe you can start tank big. I
16:42mean, it actually did happen twice last season uh once against the Giants or I guess it was week 18 against the
16:49Commanders, but he had that game against the Giants where he had 100 rush or 100 yards on nine attempts and then did get
16:5617 rushes against the Raiders and mop-up duty, though he didn't end up scoring in that game. I I'm totally with you on
17:02Bixby. And then our final guy >> might not even need an injury, man. Or he might have already gotten it. Danny
17:08and I are recording this on August 6th.
17:10We have got a report that my guy Josh Jacobs has a groin injury and that he is currently working off on this Iowa
17:17trainers. What a what a shocking turn of events that is Jacobs that is banged up in training camp and not Marshon Lloyd.
17:24>> Damn, things are different for once, eh?
17:27>> Finally, finally something a little bit different. I mean, Lloyd has I I I think it's nine career touches, I I believe.
17:35>> I'm buying. I'm buying, man.
17:37Particularly like baseball, the cost of of taking a guy who's going to get you zero points is is obviously worse in
17:44reddraft where if Marshon Lloyd bites the dust, I can just cut him and pick up Demian Martinez. I I think he again is
17:50like a prime prime zero running back target.
17:53>> Yeah, I'm in full agreeance here. It's funny because uh when you initially taped the sleepers uh one of my favorites that was actually picked in
18:00sleeper range before was Jonathan Brooks. Now obviously he has been steamed up to the point where he is no longer a sleeper. Marshon Lloyd could
18:07very well be that guy if we keep getting pessimism on Josh Jacobs injury because ultimately my thesis even beforehand when I wrote him on the sheet before I
18:14got noticed of the Josh Jacobs injury was that well this a very valuable backfield. Josh Jacobs is dealing with the legal stuff. Obviously we're not
18:21going to speculate on that. And now we also have the groin injury. So the fact is I had him at 152 going into this
18:27report. Now you can make the case he's probably a 12th round pick with the Josh Jacobs stuff because realistically when we're projecting the back field, if Josh
18:34Jacobs is out, are we trusting Chris Brooks? Are we trusting uh they don't even have Emanuel Wilson anymore? Are they going to go trade for like a Trey
18:42Benson? Are they going to go sign a James Connor? There's just a lot of ambiguity after Jacobs to the point where I know Marshon Lloyd's efficient.
18:48I know Marshon Lloyd has a three down profile coming out of USC and realistically this is a backfield that I want to be targeting when I look at
18:55Lafleur when I look at the Green Bay Packers even if Josh Jacob's healthy is it all the way out of the range of
19:00outcomes where this could be a uh you know Aaron Jones Jamal Williams split 2.0 0 again obviously very very small chance of that happening like I think
19:09Jacobs would be the workhorse if he is healthy but what if they just say hey this groin injury is going to be
