Three players going in Round 1 of 2026 drafts that carry the most risk.
Christian McCaffrey: 450 touches last season including the playoffs, and he is
now hitting the dreaded 3-0. Over the past decade there have been just four
instances of a running back aged 30 or older averaging 15+ PPR points a game.
Justin Jefferson: the quarterback play was so bad last season it turned one of
the best receivers alive into a WR3 in fantasy. Kyler Murray could not even
average more yards per attempt than J.J. McCarthy did.
De'Von Achane: survived a bad Dolphins offense in 2025 and it could be worse in
2026. The real issue is pass-game volume, with fewer checkdowns coming from
Malik Willis, who has the highest scramble rate in the NFL over the past two
seasons.
