Aaron Jones

PositiveProjection24:05

Ranked RB31 for week 2 in what could be a weekly smash spot against the Chicago Bears. He had the only targets for the 49ers backfield in week 1. If the Vikings trail the Bears, Aaron Jones could get fed more targets, potentially making him a priority over Jordan Mason in game-script scenarios.

Insight page

Aaron Rodgers

PositiveRole21:48

Aaron Rogers suddenly shifted to chucking the ball downfield with an 11+ yard average target depth, the highest mark he's had with the Steelers. This is not great for both Steelers RBs (Jaylen Warren and Rico Jones), as the key thesis supporting their flex potential was the expectation that Rogers would check the ball down frequently.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveUsage0:36

Ian Hartitz ranks Robinson as RB2 in tier one. Robinson leads the entire league with a 53% target share, significantly ahead of Jackson Smith-Njigba's 46%, establishing him as the Falcons' primary receiving back. Robinson cleared a 70% snap rate in week one, indicating a strong three-down role and workhorse status.

Insight page

Breece Hall

PositiveUsage5:42

Ranked RB16 for week two against the Packers with more than enough opportunities for a three-down role in week one. Jets offensive line stood out as one of the best units in week one with elite rush yards before contact per carry and pressure rate allowed (Raiders, Bears, Rams, 49ers, and Jets top five). Hall is a reception prop target against the Packers, who run zone-heavy coverage; Ian Hartitz is particularly curious to see the reception prop line and will bet it if the number is reasonable without too much juice on the over.

Insight page

Brian Robinson

PositiveSleeper28:46

Identified as an under-rostered handcuff available in 65%+ of ESPN and Yahoo leagues; ranked among recommended handcuff targets.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveBreakout13:20

Ian Hartitz ranks Irving as RB19 for Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns. Irving showed the most promising usage improvement in Week 1 relative to preseason expectations: 62% snap share versus 46% for Kenneth Gainwell, 8 carries versus 5, and 7 targets versus 1. Positioned as the 1A option in a Buccaneers offense that excelled schematically in Week 1 (second in play-action rate and pre-snap motion). Hartitz views him as a buy-low candidate for potential RB2 upside if still perceived as RB3 on the trade market.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeUsage5:34

Ranked RB10 for week two against the Texans. While the matchup presents a slight downgrade due to Texans' strong week one performance against James Cook, Brown remains the clear lead back in the Bengals offense and should be started despite the matchup concern. Cleared a 70% snap rate in week one, indicating a strong three-down role and workhorse status.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

NegativeUsage27:51

Surprisingly equaled Bashaw Tutin in routes and snaps, indicating a timeshare rather than a clear lead-back role. With Laquent Allen active and the team using Air Abdulla over him, Rodriguez may still be dealing with an injury and warrants monitoring.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveProjection0:55

Ian Hartitz ranks McCaffrey as RB3 and urges owners to remain calm despite reduced week 1 workload (18 combined carries/targets). McCaffrey's 8 targets exceeded his 2024 per-game average; he gained 6+ yards per carry and was one of only 8 RBs to gain 3+ yards after contact on 50%+ of carries. The 49ers offense is elite, and McCaffrey's workload remains very good despite being lower than expected. Hartitz projects McCaffrey could finish RB5 overall rather than RB1, but emphasizes there are far bigger issues facing fantasy teams. McCaffrey has more than enough opportunities for a three-down role.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveRole17:43

Ranked RB23 and is a low-end borderline RB2 against the Falcons. Posted a 69% snap rate in Week 1 and was dominant and very nice. Jonathan Brooks' usage will ramp up as he gets healthier, but for now Hubbard should see plenty of volume. The Falcons defense performed well against the Steelers front seven in Week 1, but as the sample size grows and the offense puts Hubbard in bad positions, running backs should be able to have success.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveProjection10:15

Ian Hartitz ranks Swift as RB15 with upside RB2 designation for Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings. Swift looked good in Week 1. However, Vikings defense has had his number in four matchups against Brian Flores: 30, 79, 53, and 90 scoreless rushing yards. Despite the tough matchup, new Bears offense and Vikings line turnover may reduce Vikings' rushing defense dominance from 2025.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveUsage5:42

Ranked RB13 for week two against the Bengals with more than enough opportunities for a three-down role in week one. Outnapped Woody Marks 51% to 49% but opportunities heavily favored Montgomery 23 to 10, establishing clear lead-back status. Texans offense looked good in week one with defense expected to improve, supporting volume and upside as RB2 at worst despite lower yards per carry.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeProjection7:18

Ranked RB11 for week two against the 49ers. Played 88% of snaps in week one (highest or second-highest among all running backs), but scored just 10.6 PPR points despite a late back-shoulder catch that was nullified by penalty. Vegas has the Texans offense tied with Titans for dead last in implied point totals, and with Nick Bosa and Fred Warner healthy, better days may come but top-five finishes are unlikely. Achane is a reception prop target against the 49ers, who run zone-heavy coverage.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup16:16

Identified as reception prop bet target against San Francisco 49ers, who run zone-heavy defense. Hartitz targeting RBs on field frequently against zone defenses for passing-game prop opportunities.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveProjection3:55

Ian Hartitz ranks Henry as RB4 in tier one. Henry is averaging 105 rushing yards per game since joining the Baltimore Ravens, a pace only Saquon Barkley and Jonathan Taylor approach within 15 yards. Henry is getting fed in an offense that looks legitimate. Henry has more than enough opportunities for a three-down role.

Insight page

Dylan Sampson

NegativeInjury23:19

Dylan Samson is done for the season with a knee injury, which could theoretically lead to increased pass-catching opportunities for Quinnon Judkins, though this hasn't materialized yet.

Insight page

Emmett Johnson

PositiveBreakout26:19

Chiefs running back led Week 1 in tackles avoided per touch and looked explosive; ranked top in the 'cool stuff' metric (total touchdowns, explosive plays, and tackles avoided divided by carries and targets). Priority handcuff grab on waivers despite Kareem Hunt's presence in the backfield; Ian Hartitz notes Hunt may not even take over the backfield from this point forward.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

PositiveUsage5:34

Cleared a 70% snap rate in week one, indicating a strong three-down role and workhorse status. Ranked RB29 for week two against Jacksonville Jaguars despite a really tough week one matchup. Still led the Broncos backfield in carries with eight compared to three for RJ Harvey, with Jonah Coleman a non-factor, establishing Dobbins as the clear lead back.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveUsage4:19

Ian Hartitz ranks Cook as RB5 in tier one. Cook posted a 50% route rate in week one with Tai Johnson sidelined, significantly higher than his 2024 rate (40%) and 2025 rate (44%). Despite a tough matchup against Houston, Hartitz expects Cook to remind fantasy players of his elite upside in the coming week.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveProjection8:12

Ranked RB12 for week two against the Washington Commanders. Inches away from a three-touchdown game on Sunday Night Football in week one. Zero competition for touches in a top-five scoring Cowboys offense. Caught five balls and looked very comfortable as a receiver. Commanders defense was blitz-happy and gave Saquon Barkley problems, suggesting this is a favorable matchup.

Insight page
PositiveProjection8:28

RB12 ranking with strong matchup vs Washington Commanders defense that was blitz-happy and gave Saquon Barkley problems; inches away from three-touchdown game in week one; zero competition for touches in top-five scoring Cowboys offense; caught five balls and looked comfortable as receiver. Identified as potential reception prop bet target against Washington Commanders, but Hartitz expresses hesitation due to Commanders' high blitzing rate in Week 1, which may force Williams to stay in for pass protection rather than run routes.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

NegativeUsage20:50

Ranked RB27 for Week 2 despite a weird utilization profile in Week 1. Got the start with 16 opportunities compared to 13 for Rico Jones, though Rico led in snaps (58% vs. 36%). Ian Hartitz gives Warren the nod, expecting him to get the ball more often going forward. However, Aaron Rodgers' shift to an 11+ yard average target depth (highest with the Steelers) is not great for Steelers RBs' pass-catching upside, which was a key thesis for their flex potential.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeRole17:17

Ranked RB22 and showed off elusiveness and explosiveness in Week 1, but received only 14 touches compared to 19 for Tyler Algier. With an ankle issue noted, Love may leap Algier on the depth chart sooner rather than later, but against the Seahawks' reigning third-ranked defense in PPR points per game allowed to opposing running backs, Love does not need to be jammed into lineups just yet.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeMatchup7:01

Ranked RB7 in tier one but matchup caution applies. The Colts offense underperformed in week one and Vegas tied them with the Falcons for the ninth-lowest team implied total in week two. Steve Spagnuolo's Chiefs defense has historically limited Taylor: 21 carries for 71 scoreless yards in one matchup, and 16 carries for 58 scoreless yards more recently. This matchup presents significant downside risk for week two.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeRole26:02

Can't start him right now against the Falcons in week two due to limited role or health status; had a fun 48-yard catch down the sideline and showed good chemistry with Bryce Young, but remains in Chuba Hubbard's backfield for now; usage will be monitored to determine how much Brooks eats into the backfield as the season progresses.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

PositiveProjection24:05

Ranked RB30 for week 2 in what could be a weekly smash spot against the Chicago Bears. Mason led the 49ers in snaps and rush attempts in week 1. While Aaron Jones had the only targets, Mason should lead the way in rushing volume. With likely Carson Wentz under center for the Vikings (not ideal), the run game should be leaned on more heavily.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveProjection5:23

Ian Hartitz ranks Walker as RB6 in tier one. Walker rushed for 173 yards in week one with 179 yards coming after contact, and forced 14 missed tackles combined on rushes and receptions—the highest mark of the season and tied for the highest over the last two seasons (matched by Bijan Robinson). Walker had 16 missed tackles forced in week 12, 2024, the highest mark since 2023. Hartitz dismisses injury concerns, noting Walker's career games played (15, 15, 11, 17, 1) don't support the narrative of chronic injury proneness. Hartitz calls Walker a smash pick.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeRole24:37

Lamar Jackson always has a high pressure rate because he waits for guys to get open and can run away from pressure. This context is used to explain why time-to-pressure is a better metric than pressure rate for evaluating defensive pass rush quality.

Insight page

Ray Davis

PositiveSleeper28:46

Identified as an under-rostered handcuff available in 65%+ of ESPN and Yahoo leagues; ranked among recommended handcuff targets.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

PositiveRole23:40

Against the Jaguars in week two, Harvey really needs the pass-down role to make it go his way with Jonah Coleman out, which is good news for Harvey overall, though the persistence of that role is the main question. In week 1, he received only three carries compared to eight for JK Dobbins, establishing Dobbins as the clear lead back.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeProjection5:09

Ian Hartitz ranks Barkley as RB8 for Week 2 against the Titans. Eagles offense ranked 28th in RB rush yards before contact per carry in Week 1, though Barkley looked good when able to break into open field. Jaylen Hurts looked healthy, which is relevant to the offense's upside. Landon Dickerson going to IR may impact offensive line performance. Projection for Week 2 is closer to vintage Saquon performance rather than a repeat of his 2,000+ yard season pace, though the Titans matchup is favorable.

Insight page

Seth McGowan

NegativeSleeper29:03

Backup running back to Jonathan Taylor; identified as a handcuff option for 'true sickos' (deep league enthusiasts). Ranked last among recommended under-rostered handcuff targets available in 65%+ of ESPN and Yahoo leagues.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

NegativeValue28:05

Ranked RB40 despite being a notable player; Ian Hartitz intentionally ranked him as low as possible due to offensive scheme concerns and equal snap-split timeshare with Taj Spears. Faces a difficult matchup against the Eagles' elite defensive front led by Jaylen Carter. Hartitz acknowledges the RB40 ranking behind Katon Mitchell may be controversial but expresses strong skepticism about the Cowboys offense.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeRole18:17

Etienne is ranked RB24 and had the worst utilization in week one; he equaled Kendre Miller in carries, which was a complete shock, and while his nine targets were nice, they came on the back of Tyler Shuck throwing the ball 56 times. With no Alvin Kamara, the touch distribution was expected to be around 70-30 in Etienne's favor, but it could be 50-25-25 or 40-30-30. If Kendre Miller factors in this heavily on early downs as well, it will be very problematic against a tough Ravens defense. Etienne could face really tough times as soon as next week if and when Alvin Kamara returns, which would likely reduce his role and opportunity share.

Insight page

Woody Marks

NegativeRole27:24

RB2 in his own offense and does not look like a good flex play; being kept only for handcuff upside.

0:00is a great day to break down week two fantasy football running back rankings and tiers. Gonna be going through my top
0:0648 ranked players as position. Along the way though, we're going to be breaking up the tiers, going through bigger picture questions like who were actually
0:13or course running backs in week one, who is the best and worst on paper matchups ahead of week two, best handcuffs to
0:19stash, all that and much much more. So accordingly, let's get after it guys with tier one elite real life talents with very fancy friendly workloads. RB1
0:28Jir Gibbs. This dude ripped off 33.6 PPR points in week one and didn't even have an explosive monster play. That's new
0:36reality in Detroit. Got to love it. RB2 Bejan Robinson currently has a 53% target share. That's their percentage of your team's targets that you have. Uh
0:47yeah, that leads the entire league regardless of position. Jackson Smith and the Jigba only have 46%. Get on Bon's level. JSM RB3 Christian
0:55McCaffrey. All right, everyone. Take a step back, all you Christian McAffrey owners, and chill the hell out. All right, the 49ers look like one of the
1:05best offenses in the NFL. They gave CMC 18 combined carries and targets in week one. Was Kaylin Black more involved than
1:12expected? He was. Could that have had something to do with CMC also dealing with cramps in a game that took place in
1:19Australia? Also, yes.
1:23We don't see running backs with CMC's level of passcatching ability bust in fantasy land. Last season, he had 126 targets.
1:33Pure receiving production without a single rush attempt last year. Christian McCaffrey would have finished as the RB14 overall ahead of Saquon Barkley.
1:42With eight targets in week one, that was actually more than he averaged per game last season. And he looked good, guys.
1:48Wouldn't you have expected CMC coming off to 450 touches, the real reason to sound the alarm bells would be like, man, another three yards per carry for
1:57CMC. He was over six.
2:00And even some of the more nerdy behind the scenes stuff, I love percentage of carries where a running back gained at
2:07least three yards after contact. I think it's less fluky than, you know, breaking one arm tackle at the line of scrimmage
2:11and running for 70. CMC was one of, I think, eight running backs to gain at least three yards after contact on at
2:17least 50% of his carries. He looked good. We love the offense. The workload's still really good. It's just not as great as we're used to. Could
2:27maybe have a better chance of finishing the RB5 overall than the RB1 overall than what we thought this time last week. Sure.
2:35But please chill out. There are far bigger issues facing your fantasy line after Christian McCaffrey and that's that. RB4. I got Derrick Henry. 105
2:43rushing yards per game since he joined the Baltimore Ravens. Only Saquon Parkley and Jonathan Taylor are within even 15 yards potentially. No. Zay
2:51Flowers. We'll see. Doesn't sound like the hamstring injury is too serious. But yeah, Dererick Henry getting fed in an offense that looks legit. RB5 James
2:59Cook. Look, the last time the Bills and Lions faced off, they scored 90 combined points. Also got to see James Cook,
3:04although he didn't catch, you know, more than three passes out there. had a 50% route rate in week one with Tai Johnson
3:10sidelineed. That was way higher than 2024 which was at 40% in 2025 which is at 44%. So again, tough match up against
3:17Houston. We knew that was coming. Don't be surprised if and when James Cook reminds us all just how great he can be
3:22here come Thursday. RB6 Kenneth Walker against the Colts on Sunday Night Football. My goodness gracious. This guy look awesome in uh week one, guys.
3:31Seriously, 173 rushing yards. 179 of them came after contact. He forced 14 missed tackles in week one combined on his rushes and receptions. Easily the
3:43highest mark of the season. It's actually tied for the highest mark of the last two seasons with Bejon the actual highest mark though since 2023
3:51already owned by Kenneth Walker. He had 16 back in week 12, 2004. So great stuff from Kenneth Walker. They're obviously forcing him the football. Any thoughts
4:00about like well is Kenneth Walker just going to get hurt handling this large workload?
4:05He's not quite as injuryprone as everyone freaking makes him out to be.
4:08Guy, you would think the way people talk about Kenneth Walker, he's missed like 12 games a year for a decade straight.
4:13In his career, he's played 15, 15, 11, 17, and this year won games. Chill out, Kenneth Walker looking like a smash
4:21pick. RB7, I got Jonathan Taylor just again playing the matchup game a little bit. You're obviously starting them either way, but yeah, didn't exactly
4:29love what we saw from the Colts offense.
4:31Neither did Vegas. They're actually tied with the Falcons for the ninth lowest team implied total ahead of week two.
4:36And this Steve Spagnolo led Chiefs defense guys has done a very good job against Jonathan Taylor in past matchups. 21 carries for 71 scoreless
4:43yards and 16 for 58 scoreless yards more recently. So hey Chiefs D by the way if you need a DST in fantasy really really
4:51nicey schedule going up all the way until Thanksgiving. Got to buy in some few matchups like in the middle that aren't great but based on what we saw
4:58got Chris Jones man sounds like he's not too hurt. We got the blue chip talents, the play caller, and the good overall
5:04team. We look for Chiefs DSTa if you're looking for a longerterm streamer. And last running back in this tier, I got
5:09RB8 Saquon Barkley going up against the Titans. Didn't love the Eagles performance in week one other than Jaylen Herz actually looking healthy and
5:15pretty damn good to be honest with you guys. But Landon Dickerson is going to be on IR and hopefully we can get better
5:21performance from a healthier offensive line behind him. Just the 28th ranked offense in RB rush yards before contact per carry in that week one matchup. That
5:29said, Saquon did look pretty damn good.
5:31The few times he was able to break out into the open field and they're facing the Titans. All right, so will we get
5:36that RB, you know, top three season, 2,000 plus yards again from Saquon?
5:40Remains to be seen. At least in week two, I think we see more something closer to the vintage version of Saquon
5:46that we all know and love. Key question for this tier, guys. What running backs had a true workhorse role in week one?
5:52Going to be giving you guys actually a full breakdown on the screen. Shout out YouTube. Shout out to your audio guys,
5:57too. That's just, you know, I'm talking to the video. We have a graphic up right now. But basically, as you can see on
6:02this, blue means good. Okay? I know a lot of people will use green and red.
6:06That's not cool for colorlind folk. All right? So, blue is good, red is bad. I got every team's RB1, RB2, and if
6:11applicable, RB3, their snap percentage, their rushes, and their targets here in week one. So, feel free to pause, check out your specific situation, or just
6:19move on. But yeah, running backs we saw actually play more than 75% of their offensive snaps in week one. Jonathan Taylor, Devon Achan, Raandre Stevenson.
6:28That's right. Not the best production. I get it. But when we have an 85% snap rate, guys, you cannot let that detate
6:34your bench. And also Bejian Robinson. Of course, we also saw Ashton Genty, Chase Brown, Javvante Williams, Jir Gibbs, and Saquon Barkley clear a 70% mark. And
6:42guys like Derrick Henry, David Montgomery, Bree Hall, and Christian McAffrey. More than enough opportunities for us to feel good about their three
6:49down role. And accordingly, should be starting them in fancy laps of all shapes and sizes. Tier two, we got top 15 options with just a little bit cause
6:57for concern. Starting off with RB9 Ashton Genty. The cause for concern is just that this Raiders offense isn't going to get a chance to be leading like
7:05they were in week one. And I do have my questions about Kurt Cousins, especially in an offense without Brock Bowers. But
7:10man oh man, did Ashton Genty look good out there. Turned 29 touches into 147 yards in a pair of scores. The fact he
7:17went 6452 receiving in particular makes me very pleased because again probably gonna be a bad football team. Gonna be playing from behind a lot. So the fact
7:26can hopefully be making up for lack of you know production early in games and garbage time in the pass game great to
7:32see. And yeah turns out Mike Washington not really a factor. RB10 Chase Brown against the Texans again a bit of a
7:38matchup induced downgrade right here.
7:40Saw them do a good job against James Cook in week one but still very much the clear lead back in the Cincinnati
7:44Bengals offense. Tough to ever move Chase Brown that low in the ranks.
7:48Accordingly, similar sentiment for RB1.
7:50Devon Achan against the 49ers. Man, great matchup. Played 88% of the snaps out there. Highest of any running back, I believe in at week one. Second
8:00highest. Jonathan Taylor barely beat him. But yeah, just 10.6 PPR points. He had a nice uh back shoulder catch late in the game that got nullified by a
8:07penalty. That [ __ ] happens sometimes.
8:09But look, the bad news, Vegas has this offense tied with the Titans for dead last and implied point totals. Nick Bosa
8:15and Fred Warner are healthy. It's going to be tough for Hent, but at least we saw them even in a game where they were
8:20getting, you know, losing by multiple scores at the end. They left Hent out on the field. Better days will be ahead.
8:26Whether or not those better days are going to be top five heights remains to be seen. I kind of doubt it. RB12
8:32Cowboys running back Javvante Williams.
8:34Another nice match up here against the Washington Commanders who actually were quite blitz happy and gave Saquon Barkley and that Eagles offensive line
8:41plenty of problems. So I don't want to assume this is a smash spot, but just again based on what we've seen over the
8:46years, specifically last year, uh not exactly a defense we should be fearing.
8:49So more on that shortly, but yeah, inches away from having a three touchdown game on Sunday Night Football.
8:55There's zero competition for touches here inside anyone's idea of a top five scoring offense. And credit to Javvante caught five balls out there. Looked
9:01very, very much at home as a receiver.
9:04RB13, David Montgomery going up against the Bengals. So he only outnapped Woody Marks 51% to 49%, but the opportunities were 23 to 10 in favor of Deont. So
9:15yeah, it would have been a little cooler if we saw a higher yards per carry and stuff, but here's the thing with Deont.
9:20Even if the Texans offense isn't great, to be fair, they look pretty good in week one. The defense I am far expecting
9:26to have better days. And accordingly, that's why I'm not thinking we get the biggest dead zone RB vibes here. Okay, volume should be there for Deont and a
9:34decent enough offense with a defense that's going to keep these games close far more weeks than not. Tough to argue with as an upside RB2 at worst. RB14
9:42going back to the well with Demar and Hampton guys. Another nice matchup against the Raiders was the clear RB1.
9:4757% snaps compared to 31% for Keaton Mitchell in week one and ran hard out there. I mentioned that yards after contact, you know, percentage of carries
9:55with three plus. Hampton was in that top group. He was just getting hit pretty much behind the line of scrimmage all
10:01day long. So, I'd like to think that week one was simply a bad day at the office for the Chargers. We got to ask
10:07some really tough questions that they can't make do better against this Raiders front seven. RB15, another three touchdown man. DeAndre Swift with a
10:15tougher matchup this week against the Minnesota Vikings. Looked good last week. Though I do question just how good he'll look out there against a Vikings
10:22defense that's kind of had his number ever since he joined the Bears in four matchups against Brian Flores and company Swift has had 30 79 53 and 90
10:30scoreless rushing yards. Again, new year, new Bears offense. I know the Vikings have some turnover at the line of scrimmage as well. So, I'm not saying
10:36they're going to be as dominant against other rushing attacks this year, but did look pretty good against the Packers in week one. DeAndre Swift upside RB2 for
10:43me. If he crushes again, looks like I keep moving him up the ranks. Key question for this tier, who has the best
10:49and worst on paper matchups ahead of week two based on what we saw in 2025 and then through one week of 2026. So
10:56once we get to about week three, week four, I'd say we're going to be fully moving on to 2026 numbers, but I want to
11:02try to include last year a little bit for now. And as we can see with this chart, Seahawks, Jaguars, Texans, Chiefs, Patriots, Broncos standing out
11:09as some of the defenses that have been really tough on opposing running backs.
11:13Obviously not the Broncos on Monday Night Football. got to learn how to tackle fellas. The really soft defenses though, Bengals, Cowboys, Bills,
11:20Commanders, Panthers, Cardinals, Jets, and the Dolphins. So, mentioned Javvante Wingsman and Dave Montgomery already having some pretty good matchups. And again, the Javvante point just
11:29especially guys, we'll see exactly what goes down in terms of how the Vegas prop lines come out. But I do like some of
11:35his receiving totals because Amari D Marcato, Tyler Goodson, who they just signed, really just no competition out there for Gavvante and Dallas right now.
11:43and he's someone that just continues to look good the further removed he gets from that knee injury. Great stuff out of Dallas. Tier three, I got clear lead
11:50back. So, he should absolutely be starting and more times than not feel pretty good about RB16. Bree Hall going up against the Packers. That Jets
11:58offensive line guys. We knew they had the pair of, you know, highly touted and highly drafted uh tackles and everything. They looked really good. And
12:06I know I know the competition wasn't the steepest against the Tennessee Titans or anything like that, but when you actually look at every team's
12:12performance in RB rush yards before contact per carry and then pressure rate allowed, we had the Raiders, Bears, Rams, 49ers, and Jets standing out as
12:20the best units. The Raiders and Jets having two of the best offensive lines through one week in this economy. Got to
12:26freaking love it. So again, steeper test this week against the Packers, but so far so good for Gang Green in New York.
12:33RB 17. I mean, I got Randre Stevenson against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Hardly an easy matchup here, but again, 85% snaps in week one. Really tough to be
12:41overly bickering about that. So, this does imply Trevon Henderson will remain sideline with his current lower body injury. If we did see Trevon return, I
12:50would drop Raandre probably past the bottom of this tier, right around that RB22, RB23 spot. still would be someone that'd be fine starting
13:00a lineup of most shapes and sizes. Just wouldn't be the sort of must start that he is right now. RB18, we got Kairen
13:06Williams going against the Giants on Monday Night Football. Led the way over Blake Corum big time in snaps and targets. Although rush attempts were
13:12pretty close at 11 to 10. That said, Shawn McVey love system Kron Williams particularly around the goal line. Rams offense should get back to partying. Not
13:19going to overthink this one too much.
13:20RB19, we got Bucky Irving going up against the Cleveland Browns. This was arguably the most promising improvement in terms of usage that we saw in week
13:28one relative to the preseason expectations. At least as far as I'm concerned, guys. We saw Bucky really clearly lead the way in terms of snap
13:3562% versus 46% for Kenneth Gainwell.
13:38Carries eight versus five and most surprisingly target seven versus one again over Kenneth Gainwell. No Shawn Tucker, but just based on the way things
13:45have gone with him over the course of the past month or two, not thinking he's going to be as big of a thorn in the
13:50side as maybe we or me thought he was going to be a few short months ago. So, Bucky looking like the 1A option in an
13:57offense that I mentioned in the quarterback episode did a lot of really good things schematically in week one.
14:01Zack Robinson's Buccaneers second in both play action rate and also pre- snap shift in motion. Yeah, just can't be fumbling and losing four fumbles uh per
14:09game out there and things could be looking better here for the Buccaneers.
14:12But yeah, guys, if you were able to try to find someone out in the trade streets that still kind of views Bucky as more
14:16so that RB3, wouldn't mind buying this dude right now because I do think we could have some even bigger and better
14:21upside RB2 days ahead.
14:23RB20. I'm going Cam Scataboo against the Rams. He looked great. I know. I was worried about this dude. Like, how was
14:30he going to look coming off such a devastating injury and being someone who relies so much on his power? The answer
14:35is Scat. That dude was just built different. I mean, the amount of Cowboys that just bounced off this man throughout that game, freaking crazy.
14:42Scores a touchdown, does the back handspring. I was just surprised they didn't lean into him more in the pass game because that was sort of our
14:48thought about how he would overcome a potentially poorest offensive environment. But maybe it was the Cowboys defense. Maybe it was just a
14:54good good Sunday night for the Giants or whatever. But looked pretty good out there, guys. So, we need some more targets to get back to RB1 upside
15:02heights. We saw Singleary have four.
15:03Scaboo had zero. But we know he's capable in the receiving game. So, even though he didn't get in week one, doesn't necessarily mean it's not going
15:10to be there down the road. The routes weren't horrible, right? It was 38% versus 50% scat versus single. So, you know, you can do worse than 15 to 20
15:18carries inside a decent enough offense that certainly seems hellbent on giving this dude the ball near the goal line.
15:24They're literally doing like, you know, how when the uh Eagles and Bills, they get to the goal line, you see the
15:30fullback get right behind Herz or Josh Allen, their tight end now in Buffalo, and you're like, "All right, I know exactly what's coming." They just line
15:36Scatteraboo up in a three-point stance, like two yards behind Dart at the goal line. It's like, "All right, well, I guess this dude's about to get another
15:42rushing touchdown." So, good stuff from Scataboo. Looking like a nice pick at cost. looking healthy. And hey, the NFL is more fun with the healthy Cam
15:48Scataboo. So, hell yeah. There. Key question here. I don't have the Vegas lines yet, but I'll update you guys later in the week, probably in the
15:56Friday episode. But what running backs could actually benefit in the passing game from facing zoneheavy defenses?
16:01Last week, we went two for three on our reception over props. Again, trying to basically target defenses that run a ton
16:07of zone and accordingly give up a lot of receptions to running backs who are on the field a lot and are decent enough in
16:12the passing game. So, guys who I have standing out this week, Raandre Stevenson against the Steelers, charted as having a 100% zone coverage rate in
16:19week one, uh, Bjun Robinson against the Panthers, Javvante Williams against the Commanders. I'm a little more hesitant on that one because of how much
16:26Washington was blitzing on week one. I could see Devonte being asked to stay in more and pass. Then, Devon Achan versus
16:32the 49ers and Bree Hall against the Packers. So Hall, Achan, Bejan, Stevenson in particular, going to be very curious to see what that reception
16:39prop is uh looking like because if it's a reasonable number without too much juice on the over, I will be betting it.
16:45On the tier four, we are saying there's a chance RB21. I got your Darian Price guys going up against the Cardinals.
16:51Probably looking like it's going to be the Drew Lock experience under center here for a few weeks. But I thought Price despite losing out some short
16:58yards work to Wilson, loses a pass down work to George Alani, looked really good, guys. And I do wonder if he's
17:03maybe being underestimated in terms of being someone who's going to grow into this role a bit more as the season goes
17:08on. So I thought Price looked awesome out there. It's an offense that's clearly going to want to run the ball and lean on that facet of the game as
17:15long as Sam Darnold is out and maybe honestly anyway. So looking at this Cardinals game, we're talking about a Seahawks team that should be able to
17:21dominate with their defense and give Price plenty of touches. I think again we could be overthinking it just a little bit in terms of the utilization
17:28here. Bull call for the week for all you people out there. Jaren Price is taking a 50 plus yard touchdown to the house.
17:3550 plus yard touchdown run. Whatever.
17:37You heard it here first. RB22. Jaren Price's teammate Jeremiah Love going up against the Seahawks. Show off the elusiveness, show off the explosiveness
17:45in week one. 19 to 14 touches though in favor of Tyler Algier. So again, just one week. I know Love's deal with the
17:51ankle issue. Would make sense if we see him sooner rather than later go ahead and leap Alier on that deaf chart. But
17:56in this week against the reigning third ranked defense in PPR points per game allowed to opposing running backs. I don't think love quite needs to be
18:03jammed the lineups of all shapes and sizes just yet. Guessing though that you don't have many better options which is fine as well. RB23 I'm going with Chuba
18:11Hubard against the Falcons. Falcons defense actually was better than expected last week. They performed quite well against the Steelers front seven.
18:18I'm actually currently getting dunked on on Twitter by a bunch of Falcons fans because I implied that maybe Trouba could have a good game. James Pier
18:25suspended right now. Jalam Walker is on ACL or on IR with the ACL injury. And then Deshawn Han, their defensive lineman, unfortunately had a season
18:32ending torn quad. So again, good first week. Is that going to persist? I don't know. We'll see how it goes. But Chupa
18:39Hover dominant and very nice. 69% snap rate in week one. Similar to what we were talking about with Price and Love.
18:44I would expect Jonathan Brooks to see his usage get ramped up as he gets healthier and plays a little bit more
18:49football. But for right now, guys, Chuba low-end borderline RB2 against a Falcons defense that as that sample size grows and as the offense probably puts him in
18:57plenty of bad positions, I do think we'll be had by some running backs. RB 24, we got Travis Etchen going up
19:04against the Ravens. If Bucky had the best utilization in week one that kind of came as a surprise, I think Etchen
19:10had the worst guys. I mean, to actually equal Kendre Miller and carries was a complete shocker. And then yeah, the nine targets were nice, but they also
19:18came on the back of Tyler Shuck throwing the ball 56 times. And with no Alvin Chimera, all of a sudden, we thought
19:24this was going to be Travis Etchen and Alvin Chimera out there probably in like a 7030 split. It could be 50 2525. It
19:32could be 40 3030. I don't know. But if Kendrick Miller is going to factor in this heavily on early downs as well,
19:38very very problematic against a tough Ravens defense. Etchen RB24. Give him the benefit of the doubt, man. But it could be really tough times here as soon
19:46as next week if and when Alba Chimera returns. RB25 I got Bill Crossro going up against the same Cowboys defense that
19:53he torched for 105 yards and two touchdowns last week. 17. So was the running back y'all in Washington. 17 opportunities compared to just nine for
20:01Rashad White. Cowboys defense looked horrible. Couldn't defend a simple swing pass. Wheels up here for Bill RB26. I'm going with Bashaw Tutin guys. 66 rushing
20:10yards in week one with 67 after contact, seven tackles avoided as well, tied for the fourth highest mark among RBs. So,
20:17running hard out there, gotten a lot of nice words from Liam Coleman and company after the game. You know, it's a Broncos
20:22defense that on paper very good, but they did get run over. Now, it was very most very much mostly after contact.
20:32Like if you actually look at the Broncos time to pressure and then also the running back yards before contact allow per carry. They were there at the
20:38Cardinals the freaking Cardinals as the best defenses in week one. But you know just mentioned it Tutin one of the best
20:44tackle breakers in week one. Something's got to give Bashaw Tuton my RB26 RB 27.
20:50Jaylen Warren and one of the most just weird utilization profiles of the week guys. He got the start. He had 16
20:56opportunities compared to just 13 for Rico. He looked better for Rico. Safe for a fumble. ball security, job security, be better Jaylen. But Rico did
21:05lead the way in snaps, 58% versus 36%.
21:08So, I'm giving Jaylen the nod. I think he's going to be getting the ball more often. I will say the fact Aaron Rogers
21:13all of a sudden decided to get back to chucking the ball downfield with like an 11 plus yard average target, the highest
21:19mark he's had with the Steelers. That's not great for both guys. A lot of the thesis for supporting the Steelers running backs, both potentially being
21:25flexorthy plays, was the idea that Old Man Rogers are going to be checking the ball down a lot. Didn't exactly see that
21:30in week one. For now, Jaylen Mo RB3, Rico, more of a low-end RB3 flex sort of option for me. I don't think they need
21:38to be jammed in the lineups. That said, do not release either of them. Their handcuff potential remains skyhigh.
21:44RB28, I'm going with Quinnon Judkins.
21:47He's the clear lead back and maybe the worst offense in the NFL with a really tough matchup, man. Vea and company are
21:53absolutely no joke. They actually were number one in terms of EPA allowed per rush in 2025. So only the Titans and the
21:59Dolphins have a lower implied team total than the Browns this week. I would like to think with Dylan Samson unfortunately done for the season with that knee
22:06injury that we could see Judkins tapped into more as a pass catcher, but I don't know. Raheem Rocket Sanders actually tied Quinnshaw in terms of his route
22:13rate last week. Not looking quite great there for Mr. Judkins. Also wasn't exactly able to show off the same sort of, you know, health and just overall
22:20good moves, physicality as we saw with Cam Scaboo.
22:23RB29, I'm going JK Dobbins here against the Jacksonville Jaguars. really really tough week one. That said, still led the way over Harvey and carries eight to
22:31three and and the benefit of both Dobbins and RJ Harvey. Jonah Coleman was a non-factor at least for the first week. So still kind of think the answer
22:39to which Broncos RB is going to blow up this this year is probably no, but for now I still I still got dominance ahead
22:45of Harvey, RB30, RB31, Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones in what could be a weekly smash spot, guys, against the Chicago Bears. So Mason led the way in snaps and
22:54also rush attempts in week one. It was a Aaron though who actually had the only targets. So I went back and forth a
23:00little bit on this because I do think if we're seeing the Vikings trailing a lot all of a sudden it could be a situation
23:04where Aaron Jones is getting fed more targets. Maybe we should prioritize him over Jordan Mason in that way. But man likely Carson Wentz under center. It' be
23:12a lot cooler if it was Kyler, but you would like to think with your second string quarterback out there you lean
23:17more on the run game. I do think Mason will lead the way from that standpoint.
23:21Takes us to our key question. kind of mentioned this before when I was talking about that uh Broncos group, but yeah,
23:26what defensive fronts actually stood out as being quite good in week one in terms of their time to pressure. I like using
23:32time to pressure instead of pressure rate because it's just how fast did he get there and get in the quarterback's face. You know what I'm saying? Lamar
23:38Jackson always has a high pressure rate because he just chills back there and waits for guys to get open and if anyone
23:43pressures him, he can run away from it.
23:44So, I think the time to pressure is a bit more telling about a pass rush. And then also again, the RB yards before
23:50contact allow for carries. So, Cardinals, Broncos, Seahawks, Commanders, surprisingly, Chargers and Packers were really strong everywhere in week one. The weakest units, Dolphins,
24:00Titans, Panthers, 49ers, and the Rams.
24:03Also seeing the Bears stack stick out uh very much so in terms of being good pressure-wise, not so good against the
24:09run. So, really again, start sick questions involving either Vikings running back going to be leading towards those dudes in a very, very good
24:16matchup.
24:18Tier number five, your opponent probably is not scared that you're starting this guy. Okay. RB32. I got Marshon Lloyd. He was leading the way in opportunities
24:25over Chris Brooks despite being outnapped. Thought he looked better. I think we are going to see a trend more and more towards him as the season goes
24:32on. Just tough to be too overly excited in the long term with Josh Jacobs probably being back at some point mid-season. RB33. I got Kaylin Black
24:40against the Dolphins. Skyhigh handcuff upside and just in a matchup we're seeing the 49ers as 13 and a half point favorites and my Survivor pick. What
24:48could go wrong? RB34, Rico Dattle kind of talked about it already. Not someone I'm exactly, you know, hyped to play anymore. RB35, RJ Harvey, uh against the
24:58Jaguars, again talked about it. He just really needs the pass down more to be able to make it go his way with no Jonah
25:03Coleman. That is good news for R.J.
25:05Harvey overall. How long is that going to persist though is the main question.
25:09RB36, I got Blake Corm going up against the New York Football Giants. Again, a situation where if the Rams look like
25:15the Rams and they win with ease, which Vegas is kind of saying they should, as seven and a half point favorites, I can
25:20see Blake Horn making the most of 12 plus carries and falling to the end zone at least once. Was an iffy performance
25:25though in week one. The good news is the rushing attack for the Rams was very good. The offensive line performed fine.
25:31Hopefully, it wasn't some jet lag and an off night for Matthew Stafford. RB37, Kyle Manungai going up against the Vikings. He looked awesome, guys. I
25:38mean, 12 touches, 124 yards, and a touchdown. He cracked that list of our best, you know, Yak running backs out there. Just a bit of a tougher matchup
25:45here against the Vikings, the Panthers.
25:47But hey, if the Bears are just a freaking wagon and top three scoring offense, Kyle Manungai very much could be factoring into the weekly flex. And
25:53dare I even say maybe lowend RB2 conversation here moving forward. RB38, last one tier. I got Jonathan Brooks against the Falcons. Can't start him
26:02right now. Did have a fun offscript 48 yard catch down the sideline. Good chemistry with Bryce Young. good job reeling in the downfield pass. But
26:09again, Chuba's backfield for the time being. We'll monitor the usage and see as how see how much I should say Brooks
26:15eats into that as the year goes on. Key question here, I love this stat, guys.
26:19Who did the most cool [ __ ] in week one?
26:22Cool [ __ ] it's an RB's total touchdowns, explosive plays, and tackles avoided divided by their carries and targets. It is going to benefit guys who
26:29again aren't getting 30 plus touches a game. It's tougher to, you know, keep this going as long as you have a bigger
26:34overall volume. But yeah, it's cool Number one, Chiefs running back EMTT Johnson. This dude was on fire out there. Led the week in tackles avoided
26:43per touch. Looked explosive. Great stuff from the rookie priority handcuff grab on the old waiver wire. Number two, another Chief Keith Walker. All right.
26:51Already gave him miss flowers, but truly cannot say enough great things about that impressive debut performance in Arrowhead. After Walker, Chuba Hubard,
26:58Woody Marks, Bashaw Tuton, Amarian Hampton, Jaylen Warren, Bucky Irving, Jir Gibbs, and DeAndre Swift. And dead last, drum roll please, Rico Dattle.
27:08Sorry, bro. And finally, tier six, handcuffs and or bad flex plays. I got from RB39 to RB48, Katon Mitchell, Tony Pard, Chris Rodriguez, Kenny Gainwell,
27:19Woody Mars, Rashad White, Tyler Alier, Taj Spears, EMTT Johnson, and Tank Bsby.
27:24So again, mentioned EMTT Johnson and all the good things he did in week one. I still worry a little bit with Kareem
27:30Hunting out there, but hey, making plays. And who's to say Kareem Hunt would even take the backfield over for him from this point. Kenth Walker
27:37getting a ton of touches. Make sure you go out and get EMTT Johnson.
27:41Gamewell, Marks and White all very similar. RB2s in their own offense not looking like good flex plays. Keeping for the handcuff upside of course, but
27:51not look like anyone we can start. Chris Rodriguez, it was surprising to see him actually equal. Bashaw Tutin and routes.
27:58Laquent Allen was active. They're using air abdulla over him. Maybe still banged up. Keep an eye on that. RB40, Tony Pard
28:05snuck that in there. When I was doing my ranks, initial set at least on Monday night, I was like, how low can I rank
28:11this guy? We hate the offense. He split snaps equally with Taj Spears. We really hate the offense and they're facing Jaylen Carter and this Eagles defensive
28:20front. Yikes. I got the RB 40 over behind Katon Mitchell is a little bit offensive.
28:28You know, I can see Pard having a good game because I kind of did a little middle middle finger the fantasy gods
28:34there. But yeah, RB40 and Tony Pard. Let me get let me know in the comments, guys, if you think I could have even
28:38gone lower. Yeah, that's this tier. Last question here for you guys. Who are the best under rostered handcuffs that we should be keeping stashed on the bench?
28:46The following guys are available in at least 65% of ESPN and Yahoo leagues alike. Tanksby, Kayn Black, Brian Robinson, EMTT Johnson, Ray Davis, Baron
28:55Allen, Sm. And for you true sickos out there, Seth McGoan, the backup culture running back for Mr. Jonathan Taylor. So those were as of Tuesday afternoon. I
29:04know once waiverss go through, it's going to be a little bit different out there, but yeah, Bsby and Kalin first and foremost,
29:11then I would say EMTT Johnson, then Ray Davis, then Brilen Allen. I just worry about this Falcons offense, then Brian
29:22Robinson, then Samaja Piran, then Seth McGoan. And that's that guys. That's going to do it for me. If you like the video, please
29:30like the video and hit that subscribe button. Always helps as well. I'll be back if my voice isn't fully gone by
29:34tomorrow doing wide receivers and tight ends. It is week two. Football is back.
29:39I'm pumped about it. Hope you guys had a good week one. If your fantasy team won, hell yeah. Let's go, champ. If they
29:44lost, well, damn it, man. America loves a comeback. Let's get back on that saddle and try again. But anyway guys, I'm heart.
