0:53All the week one action boys are back.
0:55Dwayne McFarland, team fantasy life. Ian Hardit, team Rotolire. Mr. Dwayne, what's up, man? Football, it's in the air.
1:02>> Football is here, Ian. Everything we thought we knew, maybe some of it will be true, but some of it's not. And so
1:08that's the fun part about this. So we'll see. We'll see what things uh you know we think we might have right, which
1:13things we think that maybe we got wrong.
1:15Or maybe we're just like, "Hey, too early to tell. Let's not freak out people." It just depends, Wayne. Like if I told everyone that someone was a good
1:22play and it worked out, like clearly that's me showing off my genius and everything I'm right about. If I was wrong about something like telling
1:29everyone to draft Coulson Loveland, it was one week, a oneame sample size. All right, chill out everyone. Keep your head on a swivel. But again guys, if you
1:36guys have not been here before, first of all, welcome. Appreciate you hanging out, going through all the Sunday action, breaking down Joan's
1:41utilization. Some big plays, some she all the goodness in between. And with that, let's get after it with a bit of a
1:47thriller. Lions took down the Saints 31 to30 in overtime. Kudos to New Orleans for making this a game, man. Detroit was
1:53up 21 nothing halfway through the third.
1:55Wound up going for the win on a two-point conversion there in OT.
1:59Couldn't quite connect. Either way, the overhit, which was pretty common there in the early early going. So, as always, Dwayne, winners write the history book.
2:06So, we will start off with the Lions and an offense that really was the Jir Gibbs show. 33.6 PPR points, had 156 yards, two TDs on
2:15the ground, another 30 yards receiving.
2:17He lost a fumble. He didn't have a long run over 21 yards. And it's just crazy to me, Dwayne, that again, one of the
2:23most fun, explosive players in the National Football League. Have what I would consider like a quiet 33 PPR points. That's what we're dealing with
2:30in the year 2026 with Jir Gibbs.
2:32>> Yeah. this this what happens today just makes me wish I had had the first pick more Ian [laughter] you know I mean I had the first pick a
2:39fair amount but I wish I would have had all the first picks but to your point like 33.6 six fantasy points and it was
2:45kind of like uh we can't ever call that hoham, but like it just felt so easy.
2:4991% of the rushing attempts, 73% of the snaps, uh 51% route share. I mean, this he's he's doing everything and there's
2:56just no one there to challenge him right now. All we have is uh Vakai was the running back too tonight. We know PCO's
3:01on IR. We've got a good offensive line.
3:04It's an explosive team. I mean, this was a generational 101, Ian. I think that's something that we were saying. It's not
3:09something that we normally say about the 101. It's like usually we like the 101 but it's in contention. It was not this
3:15year. And now we'll talk about Bejon. He had a great day as well guys, but this is why Gibbs was the 101.
3:20>> Jer chipped in two touchdowns through the air both to Amanra St. Brown. He had 10 catches, 67 yards on 14 targets. So
3:27again, the Lions, they went out there, they won the football game, they scored 31 points, but we just really didn't see
3:31the big plays coming to fruition, notably from Jameson Williams. They were trying, man. Nine targets out there, 85 unrealized air yards. And if you guys
3:39don't know what I'm saying there, I apologize for being a nerd. But basically, all we're doing is quantifying the total yards that the
3:45incomplete targets actually traveled out there. So, I would say Jameson Williams had a bunch of these. T Higgins as well.
3:50That just means they had a bunch of incomplete targets that went down field.
3:53So, you like to think in a future week maybe they have a chance to regress back to more yards. But again, Dwayne, one of
3:59those things where Amanra certainly got there. Not too worried about JMO, not to worry about Sam Laaporta, not to worry about anyone on this offense because we
4:06came into this year thinking the Lions were going to be a top five scoring group. And after 60 minutes of action,
4:10I'm still very confident they will be.
4:12>> Yeah. Well, I mean, it's very consolidated today. I mean, it's just really about Gibbs, St. Brown, JO, and then we have Leaporta mixed in. Those
4:18were the four main players. You had Isaac Tesla getting 78% of the routes, but a 3% target share. Ian is the guy
4:24that just hasn't really been earning targets. So, I think everything just really consolidates down, and it's a good enough offense that we're just
4:29going to get better passing games than this. I mean, if you look at the the way that this game unfolded because they
4:33built such a lead early. They only threw the ball 55% of the time. So, there's going to be games where they need to
4:38throw it more. You know, golf, you know, was 26 of 39, 67%, you know, 5.3 yards per attempt, though, to your point. They
4:44were trying to hit some of the big plays. Just wouldn't work out today. But Jamo, man, 23% target share, 95% routes.
4:50So, he's out there. He was getting his targets. You talked about the air yards.
4:53Better days to come. This is just part of his profile, you know? It's just been a little bit this way. We get these
4:58really good games and then we get these games where it's more mid like today where we got 8.5 fantasy points.
5:04>> Couple drops out there. He got tackled at the one yard line when he made an 11yd catch in the red zone. They even
5:08doubted up a reverse for him, man. He unfortunately fumbled the exchange there from Golf before getting back on. And so not the best day from JMO. Not going to
5:16be too worried about it. And again, we'll see, I'm sure, more scoring explosions from the Lions here as the season goes on. Over on the other side
5:22of the football, Tyler Shuck and this offense looked freaking horrendous, man.
5:26for the first like 3540 minutes of this game. He had 85 passing yards on his first 23 pass attempts I think with
5:33three turnovers. It was just one of those things where I was secondg guessing everything we thought we knew about the Kell Moore Saints. But you
5:39look up at the end Dwayne 410 passing yards, not one, not two, but three passing touchdowns. Found Devon, Jawan Johnson, and Noah Fan throughout the
5:48game. And oh yeah, when Tyler Shuck is doing his thing, that mean Chris Ave is doing his as well.
5:53182 yards on 13 targets with another 87 of those unrealized air yards. Meaning as good as a lav's day was, there's
6:00legit more meat on the bone that he could have had. So again, would have been a situation where we'd like to see
6:05them Dwayne play more consistent with a higher success rate throughout an entirety of a game. But for at least one week, man, lots lots of points for an
6:12offense that likes to move the ball.
6:13Still feeling pretty good about the Saints.
6:15>> Yeah, I mean I I felt kind of bad. I had sent uh you know a note in Slack at halftime, you know, with a person with a
6:20sack over their head. And I asked Cooter Doodle if that was her and she said, "No, this is just the baseline for the
6:25way the Saints play. She's used to it."
6:27Well, she [snorts] nearly had the last laugh, but she at least has to be proud of her team. Ian, they did come back.
6:32But yeah, you mentioned Shuck ends up with 410 passing yards, three touchdowns, had the two picks. He was pressured 31% of the time, sacked five
6:39times. So his uh you know, his time to pressure was 2.41 seconds. Guys, that's fast. Like if you're getting the ball
6:45out in two and a half seconds, that's considered a quick pass with the way that plays get charted. So there was
6:49some pressure concerns. They're going to have to get fixed with Shock. But you did talk about Mr. Chris Alave gave you
6:5428.2 fantasy points today, guys. 89% route participation rate because he had three trips to the medical tent. Well, there was two trips. One of them he got
7:02banged up. Maybe maybe just had the air knocked out of him at the end on that big pass down the field, but did have to
7:07leave the field three times. Luckily did get back out there. So 25% target share for him. And then we had Devon Vele,
7:14Ian, coming in behind him with 19.9 fantasy points. He was out there for 94% of the pass plays. Not as high of a
7:20target share for Vele, 17%. These other guys, you know, Vele, Jawan Johnson, Bryce, uh Lance even showed up a little bit in the box score. They really got
7:29pushed there on the volume. Now, we know that the Saints are going to run a lot of uh plays this year, but this is a
7:34game where they threw the ball a ton because they they were basically trailing the whole time.
7:38>> So, that's a little bit tricky. Yeah, I I think people might get a little bit too high on Vle, but I will say like he
7:43looked good out there. He was attacking downfield. Um, actually he was doing most his work underneath a 7.8 AOT.
7:49We're 18.4 for Chris Ave. And then we had Jawan Johnson getting in the mix. It looked bad for Jawan early, Ian. Uh, but
7:56man, 86% route share for Jawan Johnson today, guys. That is elite for a tight end. He gave you 14.4 fantasy points.
8:02Only a 13% target share, though. So, again, all that passing volume really did make up for it. But, I think we have
8:08a pretty clear pecking order. It's Chris Alave tier by himself. Ian tear break tier break. Then we get Jawan and Vele.
8:15>> One thing that does annoy me about the average target depth sometime is because it's, you know, just measuring targets.
8:20So when we do have some of the deeper defensive pass interference penalties for guys like Vele, DJ Moore out there as well. We don't get them included as
8:27much. So I'm not trying to say >> that's where average depth of route is.
8:30No, average depth of route is the best, but we just don't have that data when we record. So that comes in tomorrow. But
8:35to your point, cuz that's counting every route, you know, where their break was and that sort of thing. So, yeah, great
8:40call out by you.
8:42>> Hell yeah. So, again, Devon Ble did score a touchdown. Had a couple diving catches. To Dwayne's point, let's not get insane here, people. He was a
8:49recommended play as a wide receiver for this week. I'm sure I'll continue to be around that same area next week, but
8:54yeah, I don't need to be branking the bank. Remember, Veil is doing this with Jordan Tyson sideline. Please get better. Our one true king, Jordan Tyson.
9:01Good to hear on the Jawan Johnson routes, man. Because again, just looking at the box score, like seeing seven targets for Jawan versus eight for Noah
9:07fan. I did wonder if he was being squeezed out, but it does still sound like the artist knows Jawan Jesus very
9:12much locked and loaded as an every down tight end and probably going to be a low-end tight end for for us as well in
9:16the week two ranks.
9:17>> Yep. Only 29% routes for Fant. I mean, he made plays on those routes, but we also had Oscar Delp out of this game.
9:24So, um I I think Jawan right now is pretty safe. I think he's going to be 75 to 80% safely. This week he was 86%.
9:32That could be a little bit to do with the game script, but we saw this from Jawan Johnson last year, Ian, to start
9:36the season. Remember, I mean, this was a guy with a top 12 tight end for about the first seven, eight weeks, and we
9:42were happy to be getting him in our starting lineups. Well, now we really got the same recipe again because we don't have Jordan Tyson back yet. So, I
9:48think this continues for Jawan. Going to be locked into the top 12 status, you know, just depending on the matchups and
9:53stuff like that, how high we end up getting him in the ranks. but a very startable tight end in fantasy.
9:58>> Mentioned a lava start of the show. I want to give him a few more flowers because again 182 big ones here. And if
10:03you guys were lucky enough to have him on your fantasy team at the end of last year, you know that he is on quite a bit
10:07of a streak right now. So to end last season, he won 85 yards and a touchdown in week 14. 148 and two touchdowns after
10:14that and then 119 and a touchdown in the fantasy championship. So bravo to you Chris Ave. Not as much of a bravo to
10:21Travis etchen Dwayne. Look, he ended up getting there with the seven catches for 32 yards and it's not going to look too
10:26bad in full PPR scoring, but a little, and by a little, I mean a lot more Kendrick Miller than I think any of us
10:32were expecting, man. And I do get concerned when it's like, okay, maybe this was just a weird game script, whatever she ends first game there, but
10:39it sound like Alvin Chimera was pretty close to playing. And when Chimera is back, man, if Kendra is not going away
10:44on early downs, now Chimera is also squeezing the receiving stuff. I don't like it. And I don't know why it's happening because of the money. But
10:51again, it's one data point, but it's the most, I guess, meaningful data point we have yet, and it's not good.
10:56>> Yeah. 14.8 fantasy points in PPR today.
10:5959% of the snaps, which is great. But then you get to the attempts, he 39%. He had nine. Kendra Miller tied him with
11:0539%. And oh, CJ Donaldson, Ohio State University. He's got to get out there, Ian, and get 9% of the carries. So, they
11:12opted to use a three-way backfield, which is always annoying. And I know it didn't sound like a lot, guys, but you
11:17take that 10% that Donaldson got and you add that on to ETN, now we're at like 50% of the attempts. We're feeling a
11:23little bit better. Uh 48% route share.
11:25He definitely led in that category. 8% for Miller, 11% for Donaldson. They were having to do some blocking. Obviously, I talked about the pressure rate on Chuck.
11:33Uh so that that could also be an issue, right, as far as holding down some of these route participation rates. But the
11:38thing that really helped ETN out Ian played 70% of the two-minute offense.
11:41And that's where, you know, you can turn your six or seven fantasy points into 14 or 15 really quickly, catching those
11:47checkdown passes because the opposing defense is doing what, saying, "We're not letting you score fast. We're not letting you throw the ball deep." And
11:53that encourages the quarterback to get the ball out quick to a guy like ETN.
11:57So, we'll see where this lands. Um, I would have been fine if it was a two-way thing, but it's a three-way thing right
12:01now. And to your point, getting Alvin Chimera back, I am definitely worried about Mr. ETN >> again. And I had him like I think RB 12
12:09or 13 this week without Cabar in the picture. Not going to be the same next week. So first time ever Dwayne. It
12:15happens I guess. But next Sunday it's going to be Saints against the Ravens.
12:18Should be a fun one there. And we got Thursday night football between the Detroit Lions and the Buffalo Bills. I did not know legally speaking they could
12:24put that good of football on Thursday, but get your popcorn ready for that one.
12:28Moving along, we had the Bengals take down the Buccaneers 33 to 27. Bengals won and they covered. Good teams win, but great teams cover. Three and a half
12:35points there. over cash again at 50 and a half points. I don't know what it is with this passing game in week one,
12:40Dwayne, but they just never seemed to be clicking, man. Burrow wound up getting the 254 yards and a touchdown, but threw
12:46a pretty bad pick six in there. Just didn't even see a linebacker at all. And just man, one week one after another,
12:52just Jamar Chase Duds 39 scoreless yards four years ago, 62 scoreless yards in these last two seasons, four total catches for 38 combined scoreless yards.
13:02So maybe we really should have listened to Chase when he told us on Friday or whatever it was that he doesn't like
13:06playing in these early games, Dwayne. So I don't know. I will say I'm enough of a nerd that I actually checked his career
13:12splits and Jamar Chase averages more receiving yards per game at 1 p.m. than he does 4 p.m. So we actually can't even
13:18run with that. But for one day, everyone that drafted Jamar Chase in round one, that sucked. But yeah, don't worry about
13:24it.
13:25>> Yeah, I mean we'll see where this ultimate ends up going. But, you know, the when you look at the Bengals,
13:29they're really trying to install a little bit of a different offense, even though they have the same head coach.
13:33They have the same OC. They're trying to do more under center work, all those sort of things. So, this could also be a
13:38hiccup with that. Like you said, Burrow did seem to iron out the kinks as the game went along. 7.7 average depth of
13:44target, a little bit lower than what we've seen sometimes from Burrow, but still average 7.3 yards per attempt. I think the most annoying thing is just it
13:50didn't really come through Jamar Chase or T. Higgins. Like 3.2 fantasy points for Chase. out there plenty 97% of the routes but only 11% target share today.
13:58T Higgins 84% of the routes so he was the number two wide receiver. Yoshas was wide receiver three but it was your guy
14:04Mike Gaseki Ian 18.8 fantasy points. You finally quit this man. He's going to go off like I'm calling it now. Actually I
14:11don't know only 46% [snorts] route participation rate. So really Gaseki was in the same role and then we had three other tight ends also still
14:18rotating in. So really a lot like what we saw in the last two years from the Bengals as far as the way they're
14:24handling their tight end room. Uh the way the receivers and their playing time are going. I think this is pretty much
14:28status quo. I think it just comes down to do the Bengals end up getting the kinks worked out with some of the new
14:34stuff that they want to do. It was a little bit more of a balanced game today, but it's hard to say. I can't see
14:38pass rate over expected yet. All I can see is the drop back rate and the and the rushing attempts. And they were
14:43ahead in this one because of the of the Bucks and the turnovers we had from Baker. So that that really that makes it
14:49really tough to know like is this team going to bring down the pass rate. So for now I'm just going to kind of be
14:53holding steady with my view on everything Bengals.
14:56>> Only three catches, 59 yards for T.
14:58Higgins, but he did have 118 unrealized air yards. Second most on the week. So Joe Burrow was looking for his man
15:04downfield and he did make a couple of good plays. He basically iced the game with a nice contested catch in the
15:08middle of the field. Also caught a little crosser and shut off some of that yak skill. Obviously a tough guy to get
15:13in the ground when he gets the football in his hands. So I'm with you though there Dwayne Chase Higgins. And yes, Mr.
15:18Chase Brown feeling awfully good. Look, I know we have to break down the, you know, back fields and the committees at
15:23at length throughout the offseason.
15:24That's what we're doing. We're trying to nail this, but very much is the Chase Brown show. Somata Piran is the number
15:30two. And if you want to pick him up as a handcuff, maybe you lost Malik Davis or any other number of guys, that's fine.
15:35But Chase Brown 20 plus touch potential per week in this offense. That's RB1 material regardless of the matchup.
15:42>> Yeah, for sure. And I did just look 30% of the plays under center for B for Burrow. So slightly more than what we're
15:47used to from him for his career, but not like an outrageous number. The weird thing is they only use play action 12%.
15:53And that's the thing they've talked about all off seasonason is, you know, getting under center, running the ball more, and then using play action. So
15:58we'll see how that all works out. Like with the running back room, I mean, Chase Brown, man, 73% of the snaps.
16:04Nothing wrong with that. 18.8 fantasy points uh today for you. Handled 64% of the rushing attempts with Perine working in for another for the other 20%. Then
16:12we had some uh runs by Burrow making up the rest of it. Um, if you look at Brown, only 3.5 yards per carry, but he
16:17did give he did get one in for the score. Ian, he did play 100% of the snaps inside the five. I can't tell you
16:22how many that was. I think it was two or three. So, it's not like it's a huge sample, guys, but he did get the work.
16:27He also had a 60% route participation rate. So, this was a positive for me. We already liked Chase Brown, but Py we
16:34knew was going to have a little bit of a role, but it wasn't like he was in the role taking the high leverage touches,
16:38right? He wasn't They didn't play in the two-minute offense today. they they didn't need to. So, we don't know for sure what will happen there, but Perine
16:44was not coming in to snipe uh those snaps inside the five, which he did last year to Chase Brown.
16:50>> Chase did look just look good out there, man. Always seems like he's shot out of a cannon when he's able to break through
16:54that first level of the defense. Sure, we'll see more big plays coming. Maybe not next week, though. Bengals against the Texans. Going to be a tough one, but
17:00should be a fun one to be watching.
17:02Over. Actually, last thing, Dwayne, number three wide receiver. Can we free my guy Kobe Young or are we still doing the Andre Yoshas bit? No, we're still
17:09doing the Yosha Vaspit and Meyers was actually the wide receiver for ahead of Kobby Young this week. Those two guys didn't have that much playing time. So,
17:19we'll we'll we'll stay on the watch though, Ian. We'll stay on the watch for your guy.
17:22>> We better on the Buccaneers side of the ball. You mentioned the turnovers. Baker Mayfield got his big contract and immediately decided to play the most
17:29deaf yolo version of himself that I guess is possible. So, four sacks, lost three fumbles, was efficient as a passer, man. didn't throw a touchdown,
17:37but 216 yards on 23 of 28 passing. We certainly see him worse there, but just again had a crazy scramble play where he
17:45eluded two or three players and then he just again cost up the ball inside the 10 yardd line. I think he did actually
17:50run for a touchdown later. So, you know, managed to not completely kill you hopefully in the fantasy streets, but those three fumbles are not going to be
17:57any fun. So, good news, I guess, Dwayne would be we did see a healthy Mecha Ibuka out there. And Chris Godwin looked
18:02good, man. I don't know if you had eyes on this game, but not once but twice. We saw like Marshon Lynch, beast mode,
18:07stiff arms from old man Goblin on some poor Bengals cornerback. So, just good seeing those two guys healthy and out there. No Jaylen McMillan, so it really
18:15did seem like the pretty much the entirety of his passing game was flowing through the top two wide receivers.
18:20>> Yeah. And real quick on Baker, uh you know, he had four scramles for 31 yards today, guys, and a touchdown. And he was
18:25like out there throwing out juke moves.
18:27Now, on one of them, I think he got himself tired at the end of the run and the defender came from behind and that's
18:31where one of those fumbles came and it was down in the red zone. But Baker was close to having two uh touchdowns
18:36rushing today. So he he's definitely out there trying and he didn't look bad in the pass game. 217 yards, 7.7 yards uh
18:43per attempt. So I think we're going to get better days, but it was a very checkdownish offense today. Only 4.5 A
18:49dot. And I think some of that does come back to >> Ibuka and Godwin. Now Ibuka showed like some skills downfield last year, but
18:57really I mean if you look at Godwin today, a 0.3 a dot, right? So, we just need Godwin to be working further down
19:03the field. He did look good after the catch to your point, Ian, throwing some of those mean stiff arms. I was hoping
19:08for more in the box score. 8.3 fantasy points today for Godwin, but he was out there 89% of the time. Very consolidated
19:14offense with him and Ibuka as the top two guys. Igbuka gave you 11.3 fantasy points, 22% target share, easily leading the team, and he had a 14 average depth
19:22of target, so he was still working down the field a little bit. He had 66% of the air yards. Uh Godwin mostly played
19:28from the not mostly but 57% of his routes came from the slot. So he was the main guy but Ibuka did work inside as
19:34well 28% of the time. Ted Hurst who stepped in for Jaylen McMillan today 83% of the routes he was mostly just uh
19:41running intermediate and deep stuff.
19:43Didn't have a lot of targets.
19:45>> Tasmanian Devil clear backup. I was wondering if they're going to have TZ Johnson rotating a little more Ted Hurst. So interesting to see there. And
19:52yeah, I want to say it might have been the actual second snap of the game. They did go deep for a bua and nearly got
19:57him. I couldn't quite tell with the replay if it was a drop or if defender got a hand in there, but after that just
20:02kind of checked it down more often than not. More often than not, Dwayne, it was going to Bucky Irving out there. So,
20:08yes, Kenneth Gainwell playing plenty as well. I was surprised to actually see the snaps at the end of the game. 62%
20:13for Bucky, 46% for Gamewell. I was surprised to see that those were as close as they were because it did seem
20:18like just watching it that more times than not, it was Bucky touching the football. And to the man's credit, he looked good.
20:23>> Yeah. Yeah, and we had some overlap between the two guys where they were both out there together, but Bucky looked really good. He gave you pony
20:29pony, baby. 20.3 fantasy points today from Bucky Irving. Handled 53% of the attempts, Ian eight carries, 45 yards and a touchdown, 5.6 yards per attempt.
20:38Uh created four missed tackles in this game. 61% route share for him. That's the big thing. Like we didn't know like
20:44what Gainwell's role would be, but it really feels more like it's Bucky for two drives. And I can't see this yet. I
20:50mean, I I could, but I don't want my computer to freak out and like you guys lose me. Uh, but it looks like it might
20:56be more of a rotation where it's like Bucky two drives and Kenneth Gainwell one drive. And if that's the case, that's actually really good news for
21:02Bucky Irving because if he's out there not having to give up passing downs all the time, we know he's a good receiver
21:08out of the back field. This is something you and I talked about on the preview show back in the summer, Ian, that there
21:12really could be an opportunity because Mike Evans being gone, you know, and some of the injuries and things they've been dealing with for more of these
21:18targets to go to the running backs. And Buckyy's a really good receiver out of the back field in his own right. You
21:22mentioned it. Seven targets, 26% target share, seven grabs for 48 yards for Bucky Irving.
21:29>> Had a rushing touchdown as well.
21:30Basically got to walk in because the Bengals just lost contain. I don't know what they were doing on that, but hey,
21:35for a guy who obviously had >> Yeah. bit of a tumultuous, you know, offseason just with the shoulder and then also, you know, coming back from a
21:41not great year and then all of a sudden it's like, was he even gonna be ready for a season to start? Good to see Bucky
21:46out there doing his thing. No Shawn Tucker, but again, it's one of those things, man, where just based on everything that's kind of gone down with
21:51Tucker. I wouldn't even be that surprised Dwayne Tucker is just like a one or two touch per game guy. I was
21:56more worried about him earlier in this off season. But for right now, man, definitely seems like Buckyy's going to be one of these guys, I'm sure, in your
22:02critically acclaimed, internationally renowned utilization report that's getting a pretty decent upgrade.
22:07>> Yeah. Yeah. No, I think and I had already started moving him up just because, you know, they had talked about
22:11getting rid of Tucker. He had to take the pay cut. He was on the borderline of making the roster. And so, we'll see
22:17what happens when he's active. He wasn't active today. It was uh Williams that was the running back three. But I'm I'm
22:22with you. I'm not really concerned about Tucker anymore. And now seeing Gainwell, you know, and I'll dig more into tomorrow, but if it really is more of
22:29like a two drives for Bucky, one for Gainwell, then I think we're probably okay here.
22:34>> Kate Uton 26 yards against the Bengals tight end defense, have some have some fun.
22:40>> 19% targets, 86% routes. You know, this Kateton, you know, the rule on Kateton is if everyone else is hurt, start him.
22:47If not, don't mess with it.
22:49>> And Dwayne means everyone else. It's not Abuka's out. We have Luca Goblin McMillan and Ted Hurst to be gone.
22:54>> Ian and I are running routes [laughter] and you can start Kottton >> Buccaneers be taking on the Browns next week. Browns Bucks maybe, just maybe
23:02Baker Mayfield gets to put the last dagger in the Desawn Watson experience.
23:06Would be cinema just saying. Moving on.
23:09Ravens took down the Colts 41-23 in the house that Payton built. Ravens did cover as three-point faves. Overcash with ease at 48 and a half points. Hey,
23:18didn't always see the smoothest offenses from these first-time play callers, but the Declan Doyle experience, man, really was a lot of fun. Lamar was out there
23:25looking healthy, man. There was an early third and six team where he had Colts defenders all over him. Somehow broke out of the pack. Ely similar to that
23:33like Ravens Steelers one he hit in week 18 last year as well. Exactly. Just incredible stuff. But for a change like
23:39we didn't see at the end of last year, actually had the speed to go ahead and pick up the first down. So, great stuff
23:44from Lamar. again, 324 passing yards and 25 passing attempts. Very much looked again like the guy who we've seen rip off two MVP awards. Probably should have
23:53even been three cemented again as the baller. Just incredible fantasy quarterback he's been for virtually his entire career. What I really love seeing
24:00though, Dwayne, was the usage for Zay Flowers, man. He had a 50 plus yard touchdown where he ran Troy route as a
24:05running back. They put him in a fullback on their play. They were using this guy like the engine of their entire passing
24:11game and he had 150 yards in the touchdown the first half and then the hamstring flared up and we can't have
24:17nice things because in addition to Zay Flowers, Jacobe Lane hurt his wrist actually had a short touchdown hit the Ray Lewis Sy but you know wasn't a score
24:24so we don't get to talk about it but Z and Jacobe are out. This sucks man.
24:30>> Yeah it does. Um just real quick back to the Declan Doyle stuff though. uh 58% of the time they were running the ball
24:36today obviously because they were leading but 37% of the time they use play action and Todd Monkin was a really good coordinator as well. He had a very
24:43high play action rate. He also centered the offense around Zay Flowers except he wouldn't give him any of the deep stuff
24:48and we saw a little bit more of that from Zay today. So a more complete route tree. But when you look at Flowers 26
24:54fantasy points Ian six targets, five catches. You'd mentioned the 150 yards and a touchdown. He played the first five drives before leaving with that
25:00hamstring injury. So over those first five drives, he had a 79% route share, 46% target share, played from the slot 55%
25:08of the time, and on 40% of his targets, they were off of play action. So just trying to freeze those linebackers,
25:14freeze those defenders, get him into a window, let him do his thing. You guys saw the one play where basically they
25:19just lost him in coverage and uh Zay hit the Jets and just took off from everyone and scored that long touchdown. Great
25:24run after the catch play by him. You mentioned Lane. Yeah, man. I honestly like the red zone stuff was I as I was
25:31watching the game, jotting down my notes, I was like all we heard all training camp and what we saw in preseason was this guy's going to be a
25:36factor in the red zone and in the first game it was already playing out that way and so I was getting pretty excited uh
25:42for Jacobe Lane. So we'll see what ends up happening with the injured wrist but it was an encouraging first game. 64% of
25:48the routes before the injury with an 18% target share. So Rashad Baitman 90% routes today and I did go back and check
25:55quarter by quarter. It was for the whole game. This wasn't just because someone else was hurt. He was out there all the
26:00time, guys.
26:01>> He must have He must have racked up a ton of numbers then, Dwayne.
26:03>> Yeah, he he did. And in leagues that only count give you a point per route.
26:07He you know, if you get a one and a half point bonus per route, Rashad Baitman absolutely killed it today. Zero fantasy
26:13points though for in most leagues that uh you folks that you fine folks that are listening play in. Uh Mark Andrews
26:19final point, 79% routes, 25% target share, 6.7 average depth of target.
26:24finished the game, four catches on those six targets, 449 yards. So, it didn't break the bank or anything, but that's a
26:29good route share. That's a good target share. And with these other injuries, man, like Mark Andrews might have to be the center of the passing game, but even
26:37when we get Flowers back, I think right now he's the two. And Andrews looked okay out there. I don't want to say it
26:42was like, you know, prime. Oh my god, Mark Andrews could have had a 100 yards with a few different things going his
26:47way. But the bigger things for me is like healthy Lamar and a play caller we can believe in. At least for one week,
26:52man. certainly seems to be going that way. The baitman stuff really is unbelievable though. Flowers and lane go down. We can't get a catch. I saw this
26:59dude for one time during the game.
27:01Dwayne, that was when Zay actually had another big play, but kind of like it's happened to Zay during his career. He
27:06got tackled inside the 5yd line on this one and then like Rashad jumped on the fumble in the end zone. That wasn't even
27:11an actual fumble. So, thanks for coming out, Baitman. Uh we'll get some hopefully good updates on Z and Jacobe again. Dwayne and I not doctors here.
27:20Zay had the hamstring issue going on in training camp. He was limited in practice this week and he looked great out there. It didn't seem like some
27:27devastating pull. I'm usually hamstring.
27:30I get worried we're gonna miss multiple weeks. I would like to think this could be on the lesser side of things. Maybe
27:34I'm just coping.
27:35>> Yeah. I mean, I don't know. I'm not a doctor either, so we'll see. All I know is he didn't return to the game. And
27:40typically the way we treat a player like that heading into the projections the next week, we're either leaving them out of the projections to start the week or
27:47we're giving them a heavy dock. Uh, so for now I'm going to be conservative with flowers, but fingers crossed with you because man looked absolutely
27:55freaking amazing.
27:57>> Oh yeah, and uh Derrick Henry had three touchdowns and uh overund60 yards out there. Nine rushing touchdowns in his last four games.
28:06>> It's a big if Dwayne because father times undefeated and we see these guys again fall off a cliff at a certain
28:11point in their career, but no real signs of it with Henry. If he puts together, man, like three more of these seasons,
28:17he's going to be knocking on Emma Smith's door and we could be talking about Derrick Henry as the greatest running back in NFL history. That's on
28:24the table.
28:24>> Number three all time now in rushing touchdowns after today. So, 35.5 fantasy points from Mr. Derk Henry today.
28:32Absolutely slaying the Colts. I mean, who just didn't have any answers for him. And the Colts, man, you know, they've redesigned their interior of
28:40their defense and they have a bad interior designer. It is not looking good right now. I mean, we'll see what happens with Hollyy, you know, their
28:47rookie safety. Uh they CJ Allen was their second round pick. He didn't really play that much today. So, I mean, there's some hope that maybe the Colts
28:54get better, but man, right now, this looks like a defense that we want to attack in the run game. So, yeah, Henry,
29:01if you look at him, 55% of the snaps, this is his normal role. Ian had 77% of the carries, though, which is really
29:05what we care about. Uh Justice Hill gave you 44% of the snaps, but 3.8 fantasy points. So, a typical Justice Hill
29:12outing as well. He did have a 55% route participation rate.
29:16>> Do we have any sort of handcuff to keep in Baltimore? Cuz I don't know right now.
29:20>> Well, I think it's Hill right now cuz Adam Randle's on IR. Um, so I do think if something happened to Henry, it would
29:26be mostly Hill. And then we see some Rashene Ali. That was the running back three technically uh today, but he didn't touch the ball.
29:33>> Hill's not like tiny either. I mean, he's probably like around 200 pounds.
29:37>> Yeah, absolutely. So, >> I think they would probably run the ball less and he would be the he would be the
29:41running back one for like that stunt.
29:43>> Yeah, Ravens got the Saints next week as we mentioned before. Looking forward to that one. Meanwhile, for the Indianapolis Colts came out, marched
29:51right down the field, found Josh DS for multiple receptions. Daniel Jones is getting the ball out fast. Jonathan Taylor looked like Jonathan Taylor. Life
29:58was good. Pretty much sputtered the rest of the day, man. I don't want to say DJ looked horrible or anything out there,
30:04but the few times he did try to escape the pocket, usually wasn't far before he had to go ahead and throw the ball away
30:09or he got tracked down. Very limited downfield passing attack. And when he had Alec Pierce coming back from his first game off his own surgery as well,
30:17that was to be expected. But man, you saw it early on again. Josh Downs, two catches, 37 yards on drive one. JT looks
30:25great. Like they have some ballers out here. I just worry, Dwayne, if if Daniel Jones and Alec Pierce are going to be
30:31operating at 85 90% of themselves. I'm just wondering if defenses really have to respect this whole offense. But just from more of a usage standpoint, the
30:40Josh Downs two outside, you know, is he going to play an out outside wide receiver sets? That was a big question.
30:45How involved is Keenan Allen and did we actually see Alec Pierce on a pitch count?
30:49>> Yeah. So, one thing I would say is like they just really got pushed out of their game plan today, right? This is not the
30:53kind of game they want to play with Daniel Jones. They don't want to be behind and having to throw the ball all
30:57the time. 62% of the time they dropped back to throw which is honestly guys kind of low for how much they trailed.
31:02So they they were still trying to stick with the run and that's how JT still ended up having a really solid day in
31:07the box score in fantasy. So that was a plus for JT but only 20% of the time they use play action. This is one of the
31:12teams that used play action almost more than any other team in the league last year. Didn't get to use as much motion.
31:17So there was just some things I think going on with their offense once they got into this massive trailing script.
31:21also just made it much easier for the Ravens to know what they needed to do.
31:25And you know, at that point, like the Ravens are just honestly inviting them to run. They're just like, "Come on, like run the ball. Like, run the clock
31:30out and like let's just get this game over and we'll take a W out of here."
31:33But yeah, as far as downs goes, 94% route participation, Ian, like that's freaking fantastic. It's elite. Uh 100% of the routes and 12 personnel. So, when
31:42we were in two tight end sets, he was one of the outside wide receivers every single time. And that was the other
31:47formation they use the most out of 11 personnel today is they use 19% for 12, 4% for 13. So he was staying out there
31:54for those plays. The problem is that Keenan Allen, even though he's only got a 77% route share, Ian, had a 21% target
32:02share versus 14% for Josh Down. So the playing time I'm very encouraged. I saw the first couple plays like you I'm
32:07like, "Oh my god, like Josh Downs is about to be out the gate." Like we're going to get like 100 yards today. We're
32:11going to get a touchdown. And then things just really fizzled for them. So, it's tricky. The playing time very encouraging, but we have this guy Keenan
32:18Allen, man. He blocked Lad McConi last year. He blocked Roma Dunay in his rookie season. And I think it's just and
32:24we're going to Alec Pierce is going to eventually get healthier and be back.
32:27So, I think it's it's a crowded offense.
32:29They they need to be in a situation where they can play more efficiently and not having to try to throw the ball all
32:34the time while they're down. So, I think overall like I'm going to call this a positive for DS, but I can't get like
32:41all in on it because it's Keenan doing Keenan things, man.
32:45>> When it was in 12 and DS was one of the wide receivers out there, was it mostly Keenan and Pierce otherwise? Were they
32:51switching? How was that going?
32:52>> I didn't write it down. I didn't write it down and I don't want to >> Well, I'm just wondering because if it
32:56was more Keenan, that could mean when Pierce is more ready for a full-time role that he takes down spot. Possibly.
33:04>> Possibly. Yeah, I can pull it up right now while you do some cool talking about something else.
33:08>> We'll say with Alec Pierce, you know, going out there, caught four of six targets for 61 yards. The other two he
33:13didn't get, you know, tight coverage and stuff. Wasn't able to get away from Humphrey and whoever else was on him.
33:17But seeing actually some over the middle, skinny post type of stuff. The sort of things that again haven't necessarily been clubs in his bags in
33:24the past. And we were wondering if it was going to be a case that we actually had that going on because of how much
33:29practice time he missed. Was a situation though for at least one week against a good Ravens defense. I mean, I would
33:34have taken the under on 10.1 PPR points for Pierce today. So, the fact he even got there is good news for him. Go be
33:41the Chiefs next week on Sunday Night Football. So, not exactly an easy matchup. You know, got Mansor Delane, the very hype top 10 pick out there for
33:47KC. Spags always has a good game plan going on there. But hey, Alec Pierce, he was a boomer wide receiver for for me
33:54this week that I was not trying to tell anyone to start. But in the future weeks, like I'm pretty much okay. I
33:59think treating Alec Pierce like his usual self and not being worried about the ankle or the snaps moving forward.
34:04>> Yeah. So, it was 67% Pierce and 12 and 33% Allen, you know, and it was 100% for down. So, to your point, like it could
34:11work out. They they do like to run the heavy package stuff uh in Indie. Uh obviously, they're going to use it more
34:17when they're not in a trailing game strip like this.
34:19>> Also, like their second and third tight ends aren't great, and Keenan Allen they may view as being a better option to
34:24have on the field. He's also got enough size to block. So, we'll see how it plays out. But I do think the the
34:29biggest positive of this game outside of the routes for downs really was what you mentioned which is Alex Alec Pierce.
34:35Even though he was in this limited role, 65% of the routes, he did have a 21% target share, 27% targets per route run.
34:42And he still had his deep roll. 17.8 average depth of target. He had 107 airs, 54% of the team. So you got 10.1
34:49fantasy points to your point. Like I would have bet the under as well. I had Pierce pretty much buried in the ranks.
34:53I just didn't want you guys to risk it.
34:55like there was just too many other guys we like this week and it's like we don't really know how much somebody's going to
34:59play so why force it but man if he if he starts working his way up to 85 you know 90% over the next few weeks that could
35:06be a big positive for Pierce it's also good for the offense because he's the guy on this team Ian that can open
35:12things up for everyone else everyone else is pretty much an underneath intermediate maven but he is the guy that defenses have to respect down the
35:19field >> 100% and that's some of the stuff with the Josh DS discourse I love Josh DS as much as the next film nerd out there.
35:25But when you do look at the guy, I mean, there's a reason why 5'8, 170 lb receivers, usually play more in the
35:30slot, man, when you're trying to win downfield on these deeper passes, man.
35:34Has the catch radius of a house cat at the end of the day. So mentioned though, JT over 120 total yards, two touchdowns
35:39on the ground. Pretty freaking awesome that that's what we got in a game that again featured the Ravens losing by 19
35:44points. So Kings State Kings shout out to Jonathan Taylor on the big week one performance. mentioned uh Tyler Warren did score a touchdown. Just kind of
35:51caught a short one in the middle of the field, bullied his way in there. But man, Dwayne, five targets, just 13 yards
35:57in the score. I don't think he's going to be nose dived down the ranks or anything like that. But Keenan Allen is
36:03going to be a problem for both Downs and Tyler Warren.
36:06>> It's a problem for everybody to be honest. Like he just like he makes that one extra mouth to feed and the
36:12questions you mentioned earlier about Daniel Jones and just like the overall offense. Is it going to regress? If it does, there's there's not enough to go
36:18around here. And so Keenan honestly is a problem. Only a 3.7 average depth of target today for Keenan, but that's where Downs and Warren work. Now for
36:26Warren, what I will say, 91% route participation rate. That is absolutely through the that's to the moon for a tight end. Like we're we're trying to
36:33get to 80 and this guy was at 91% today.
36:36A young secondyear player that was a round one pick, a Yak monster. So, I I I still like if I had to bet on one player
36:43on the Colts outside of JT this year, it would still be Tyler Warren for me, but to your point, Ian, I I do agree with
36:49you that Keenan Allen, you know, it it could be a buzzkill several weeks of this season.
36:54>> And it's just this offense, bro. Like, it's it's not like this is a steak dinner and we're bringing in the
36:59neighborhood kid, Keenan Allen, just to get an extra plate. Like, this isn't the Cowboys or the Bengals. This is like a
37:03rotisserie chicken and we're already giving half of it to Jonathan Taylor every single week. and now Keenan wants to go ahead and take some and we're like
37:10all right you know Josh Tyler give them some freaking chicken here. So not great. We'll see what goes on. I would
37:15just again just the fact that the offense I was worried they were going to look way worse. I don't think they look
37:20particularly good out there. But for a week one game with your number one receiver, number one quarterback coming off injury. You found a way to score a
37:27couple touchdowns. You were a complete disaster. Good enough for me. And again, we'll see what happens here next Sunday night against the Chiefs. Moving along,
37:34we had the Jaguars beat down the Browns and saved probably a lot of people's survivor contest 34-10. Duval covered their eight and a half point spread over
37:42cash there at 40 and a half thanks to some late game. Not heroics, but one really nice pass by Deshun Watson.
37:48Actually did not know he could still throw the football that far in the year 2026. So that'll probably be the one
37:53good thing we have to say about Deshawn today. But plenty of good ones here for Jacksonville. Tall Dwayne just keeping on keeping on. I know the hot stretch
38:01down the, you know, end of last season.
38:03Came against a lot of bad opponents, but still put up numbers in that wild card loss to the Bills and man, he had the
38:08one tough test in Denver. Certainly passed that. So, I don't know if this Browns defense without Miles Garrett and without, you know, Schwarz calling the
38:15plays and everything. They might be more mediocre than great, but at least for one week, man, didn't matter. 245 yards, four touchdowns, just five
38:23incompletions. His last eight games now, he has scored at least 19 fantasy points on each and every occasion. and he's gotten as high man as 44. So 26.8
38:32fantasy points today. Trevor Lawrence, dude, if you want to rank him like QB5 next week. I'm checking the match up.
38:38Okay, they're in Denver next week. So we're not going to rank him QB5, but a rest of the season fancy ranking. If you
38:44want to say QB5 or QB6, like you have a you have a good case to make.
38:48>> Yeah, he's a mid-range QB1 and he has high-end QB1 ceiling potential every single week. He could be a top three
38:54quarterback this season, guys. So, um, when you look at TAW today, the thing that I noticed the most, Ian, is just
39:00this 10.5 average depth of target. They were really trying to push the ball down the field down the field vertically.
39:05Parker Washington, you know, he had a 17 average depth of target. Brian Thomas Jr., 14.7. Jacobe Meyers, for crying out loud, had an 18.5 average depth of
39:15target. Brenton Strange had a 13 average depth of target. So, they came in with a plan to really try to get this ball
39:21vertical down the field. And when you think about Trevor Lawrence like and just like his style and the way he plays
39:25Ian and like just the way he throws the ball like he he's got he's got a really good arm. It's not he doesn't put like
39:32the best touch on it but these intermediate and deep passes especially if you give him any type of room. You give him a window to throw into like
39:39that's just really good for like what Trevor Lawrence wants to do. They only dropped back to throw the ball 42% of
39:43the time today because they were leading but 44% of the time they use play action. So Liam Cohen keeping on keeping
39:49on doing what he was doing last year.
39:51So, I think this is very positive for the Jaguars. I know we were a lot of people were very bullish on where the
39:55Jaguars offense might go after the way they finished last year. Yes, week one looks absolutely great. Like we are on the right track.
40:02>> Only took one sack too. Like that was where I could have seen this going south as an offensive line that a lot of
40:08groups including Rotoire established the run. Again, the sort of people that are trying to put together these offensive line rankings. No one thought too highly
40:14of the Jaguars, but similar sentiment with teams like the Packers. When we do have a play caller we can trust, we
40:20think they can usually overcome that. At least for one week, Liam Cohen was more than up for the task. Mentioned Parker
40:25Washington, future first team all ballot hall of famer. Parker Washington caught five of six targets, 83 yards, and a sweet diving touchdown snag. Chop wood,
40:34Carrie Water. Go get that contract. King sure seemed like, Dwayne, that he was being the feature guy out there. It's going to be a little bit wonky with some
40:40of the route stuff cuz Brian Thomas Jr.
40:42hurt his shoulder, I believe, in the second quarter and then returned after halftime. Saw a little bit of Travis Hunter. Saw a little bit of Josh Cameron
40:49catching a touchdown. That's a real thing that happened out there. Jacobe Myers caught one as well in the back of the end zone after some nice offscript
40:55magic from Taw. So, was it clearly Parker Washington the best you can tell again with some of the other moving pieces going on?
41:02>> Yeah, it really was a rotation um between all of these guys. I mean, Pwash though like he got out and like did the
41:07thing that he needed to do, which was just earn targets when he was on the field, Ian. Um, so if you look at where
41:12he finished on the day, 72% route participation rate, which is not where we want to be. We really were hoping he'd be like 85 90, but he still had a
41:1929% target share. 33% targets per route run. Got to play from the slot. They were moving him all over the place.
41:25Mentioned he was working more downfield, so not just, you know, one of these guys that, oh, a move player that, you know,
41:31is stuck underneath all the time. He's he's hitting all layers of the football field, which just gives him a lot of
41:36potential to score these fantasy points.
41:37I did check it wasn't just a rotation either like in the in the fourth quarter like this happened every single quarter
41:45of the game because I was wondering maybe it was a blowout and that's what ultimately did it. You you mentioned Travis Hunter wasn't too big of a deal
41:51only a 12% route participation today for Mr. Travis Hunter number two pick overall in the 2025 NFL draft. Brian Thomas Jr. you mentioned 56% routes but
42:00he did leave the game like you said with a shoulder injury. So it's hard to say too much. He was actually looking pretty
42:05good early. Uh, I mean, [laughter] he had seven fantasy points like I believe were the first two or three drives. And
42:10so, Brian Thomas Jr. and it was really Parker Washington and Brian Thomas Jr.
42:14dominating the offense early on and then BTJ got hurt and that's when Jacobe Myers really stepped more to the forefront. He did play 80% of the
42:20routes. He led the team in that category, 12.2 fantasy points, only a 10% target share though. Um, but he did uh have the deeper targets and so he
42:28ultimately came through. I think he did score a touchdown today. I don't have it right in front of me, but I think Jacobe
42:32Myers did catch one. So Brenton Strange 64% routes not really what you want guys uh from a tight end, but he's in a great
42:39offense. Um but there's still there's a little bit of a rotation going on right now with the Jaguars tight end. So I
42:45look at this and I'm like, all right, the offense looked as good as we wanted them to. Parker Washington looked as
42:49good as we hoped that he would, but I am still a little bit concerned about 72% route participation rate. I'm not going
42:56to be moving him down my ranks or anything, but it's hard for me to get like crazy and be like, "Oh my gosh,
43:00Parker Washington's a wide receiver one." I think we have to keep him right there at that borderline wide receiver 2 range. Suddenly next week we see the
43:07same kind of performance and he gets like 85% of the routes. Well, now we would be talking a wide receiver one I
43:12think if that happens. I think Parker Washington is showing he's just that good.
43:16>> And again, the fact he did all this with Taw only throwing 23 passes. Pretty freaking encouraging. And again, yet another game now if you wanted to go
43:24back the last five or six of last year of seeing Parker Washington ball the hell out. So did some good things
43:29against this Broncos defense last time around as well. So going to be BTJ more likely having to deal with Pat Certan.
43:35So not expecting to be ranking him too much higher. Albe it good job catching those handful of passes. But yeah, Parker Washington got to love it. Got to
43:43love a little bit of Bashaw Toot and Dwayne wound up leading the way in terms of snaps. The underlying stuff is really
43:48really good here, guys. I know he didn't score a touchdown. If you started him, you're probably not thrilled about the 88 total yards, but he had eight tackles
43:55avoided in terms of PFF's early numbers.
43:57That was tied for the second most of any running back in week one. And also of the 66 rushing yards, 67 came after
44:05contact, which always blows my freaking mind. But it's similar to what we talked about after the Wednesday game where Andre Stevenson guys like there wasn't
44:11much room and Tutin tend to make the most out of his opportunities. But from more of a utilization perspective, Dwayne was a Tootenon clear lead back
44:18over Chris Rodriguez or pretty close.
44:20>> And in the rushing department, it was 54% of the attempts for Toutin versus 21% for Rodriguez. But we did have Amir
44:26Abdullah working in playing the Laquent Allen role. So, they did keep a three-way split. Uh Rodriguez, the snapshare, they were really close. 48%
44:34for Toutin, 41% for Rodriguez. And a surprising development, Chris Rodriguez had more routes than Bashel Tutin. 48% versus 40%. Um, but I'm with you. I was
44:44overall like, look, I know it didn't hit the box score the way we wanted, but I think the underlying stuff looked good.
44:49And we knew what we were getting into with Beijing. We were just hoping like we'd at least see in week one that it's
44:54like at at a minimum like an even split.
44:56And we got a little better than that, right? He he is the running back one right now on the team. He had 9.8
45:01fantasy points. Chris Rodriguez scored 2.3. Um so he's not a guy that we can really have anywhere near the lineup right now. But he did get 100% of the
45:09snaps inside the five. That's the big that's the tricky thing for Tuton because we've heard all offseason that it was really going to be, you know,
45:16from the beat reporters, from the coaching staff. They love Rodriguez when they get down in close. We did see that play out this week even though he didn't
45:22ultimately end up scoring a touchdown.
45:24So we'll have to keep an eye on it with Tuton. there is some risk that he gets caught in this between the 20s role um
45:29Ian that I know you really hate but I think folks bottom line is he looked good he's in a really good offense and
45:35this is just week one and so things can continue to change so don't freak out about Beijel Tutin um I'm not going to
45:40go crazy with him obviously in the ranks he I think he's really more of like a a high-end running back three is where we
45:46would put him right now he's but he could break off a long run at any time and you end up getting there we're just
45:51not going to have him in the top 24 right now >> pretty similar I think to everything we're saying about Jadarian Price after
45:57the first game and seeing Hani take now obviously we got the Zack Charbanet you know elephant sitting in the room coming
46:03back mid-season or whenever that's going to happen but yeah good offense good player and guess what it's legal for the usage to change week over week so far so
46:11good for Bashalt Tutin over on the Cleveland Browns side of things mentioned it man I swear Dwayne that really was the 46-y touchdown from
46:19Deshun Watson to Denzel Boston I have not seen that dude make a better throw since he left Houston otherwise though uh just horrible performance. Took five
46:27sacks, do an interception on the first drive of the game. That killed me because uh Zack Jackson had him on the
46:32Roadtowwire show this uh August. Does great work for the Athletic. He literally tweeted like that's the same exact interception we've seen Deshawn
46:39throw like four times a week for the past month. So just didn't see a linebacker. Threw it right to him.
46:44Almost ended the next drive with another interception, but it got dropped. Lost a fumble for good measure, I believe, or almost did at a certain point. So yeah,
46:51was not good at all. found his way to run for 38 yards. Like if I did have to say something nice about Deshawn here,
46:58it would just be because my issues with him going in this year and just what we've seen in the past post shoulder
47:04stuff that he had, I think like the 2023 season, his arm just didn't look the same. And I figured after two Achilles
47:10tears that his mobility wasn't going to be the same. So getting 38 rushing yards in your first game off the Achilles and
47:15then also apparently having some arm talent back, that was good. Do I still think he's going to start more than one
47:21or two more games potentially? Probably not.
47:24>> Yeah, I mean, we'll see where it lands, but to your point, like he was pushing the ball down the field. He had an
47:28average depth of the target of nine.
47:30That's way above what the NFL average typically is. Not where Trevor Lawrence was on the other side of the ball at 10
47:35and a half, but definitely pushing the ball down the field. Obviously, a big component of that was the touchdown pass that you talked about to Denzel Boston,
47:41but uh 29 of his rushing yards came on four scrambles. So, he also had one design rushing attempt as well. So look,
47:4714 fantasy points. Uh there are some names he outscored this week. Not not that we're excited about 14 fantasy points. So there are definitely weapons
47:55here and I think Todd Monkin is a really good schemer Ian. So I think there's a potential like more for like a DFS like
48:01you could get a gross flash play from a guy like Watson. But when it was on and I was because I was watching red zone
48:06today and it didn't look good. Like I saw multiple passes in the dirt just seemed confused by certain protections and things like that. So we'll see. But
48:15what's interesting is the Browns were getting their wheels blown off and they still stayed committed to the run. They only dropped back to pass 55% of the
48:21time. So that probably tells you what you need to know about what Todd Monkin thinks about uh Mr. Deshawn Watson because they have some weapons. They
48:28have some guys that you'd like to get the ball to and they just really tried to stay committed to the ground game.
48:33You mentioned Boston 13.9 fantasy points today. We heard all summer long that he is locked into an everyown role. He was
48:39going to play the X. He did 97% routes for Boston. 18% target share. caught the long touchdown. Uh got to play from the
48:47slot a little bit as well. A 29 average depth of target uh for Boston. I will be more interested in the average depth of
48:53uh route tomorrow, but this this matches like what we heard his role was going to be. He had 116 air yards today. So I
49:00would say Boston like still Ian, it's going to be tough for me. Like maybe gets into the wide receiver for range.
49:05We know he's going to get the playing time, but it's still just really hard to trust this offense. And there are there
49:09are other guys that we're going to talk about in a second that they're getting the ball to as well. Again, volatile QB
49:15play whether it's going to be the Shawn or Shador Sanders or please God, at least for a game or two, Tayen Green out
49:20there. It's just going to be tough, man.
49:22I'd say Boomer Bus wide receiver five type. Maybe with some buys, he cracks a top 48. Certainly seems like a good
49:27player and everything. So, nothing against him. It's just that role with the obvious issue under center, who I'm feeling a little better about is
49:33honestly Casey Conception. Hold on to the ball. Rookie, ball security, job security. We all know that. But man, getting five targets, catching four of
49:40them because they're usually of the shorter variety adds up with what we saw in the preseason and they went ahead and
49:45again kept them involved as a rusher.
49:47Three carries or 15 yards on the day.
49:49So, if there was going to be anyone in this offense, Dwayne, that I think could help overcome the bad play under center,
49:54it would be KC getting this sort of usage and then it would be Harold Fannon doing what he did last year. But at
49:59least for one day, that didn't really work out.
50:01>> Yeah. So, with Conpsion, um 5.8 eight fantasy points today. 65% route participation rate. So mostly playing from the slot 62% of the time. This all
50:10matches what we heard from camp and what we saw in preseason. But there's an opportunity for his role to grow. I
50:15think he will eventually, especially if the Browns are losing, push Jerry Judy out of the Z. Sorry, Ian. Don't get mad
50:21at me.
50:21>> We're trading him to Kansas City, Dwayne. It's fine.
50:23>> Well, there you go. Jerry Judy to Kansas City. Um, and we'll hope that Jerry Judy can regain the form from two years ago.
50:30Uh but when you look at Conpsion, 25% targets per route run, 23% target share, led the team. Uh 5.6 average depth of
50:37target, like you talked about, he's the guy they're moving around the formation, giving him those easy looks. And that does impact a guy like Carol Fannon Jr.
50:44because that's where he works in. And so if they're going to prioritize Conpsion, it's a bit of a problem. I will say the
50:49positive for Fannon is they did use their uh they didn't get to use it as much as they wanted, but they used their
50:5522 personnel, which is two running backs, uh two tight ends, 4% of the time today. Hey, they use 21 personnel uh 8%
51:01of the time and we still saw Fannon at a 77% route share. That was one question we had is like, okay, great. Like if
51:08they end up using a lot of this heavy personnel, does Fannon come off the field? Did not look like that so far
51:13this season. Just didn't come up with the targets today. 14% target share for Fannon, only 4.1 fantasy points. So, I would say right now you're holding on
51:22Fannon. Conpsion holding, but I think the underlying arrow is probably up for him. So, just make sure you're not freaking out. and dropping him too
51:30early. Um, I know you guys aren't carrying Jerry Judy. If you are, you can release him. And Denzel Boston, I would
51:34say as a hold as well, but to your point, it's hard to get crazy excited about any of them because of the passing
51:41game. But I I do agree with you. If there is one person that can overcome overcome this, and we talked about it in
51:45our preseason stuff, it is Conpion. Like just he's in the role that could lend itself the most. And it takes less from
51:52the quarterback quarterback because it's like, "Hey, we're designing you. We're designing this play specifically for this guy." and you're just going to
51:59throw it to him. You don't have to really do anything else cuz we're going to make sure the defense can't cover him
52:03on this play. And that's that's a really positive thing for a player to have going in their favor.
52:08>> Those pop passes count for one entire PPR point. I don't know why they do, but they do. And that's the game we play. Do
52:14you think having KC so involved in that same area of the field that again we saw Harold Fannon really just left alone
52:20with last season because it was Jerry Judy and Isaiah Bond out there who was, you know, catching 40 yard bombs or just
52:25being targeted that far down the field.
52:28Look, we all love Harold Fan the talent and everything, but it's just a bad situation right now. Like, if you had
52:33Dwayne like a Jawan Johnson or a Dow Scott who just had two touchdowns today, maybe even like a Mark Andrews type,
52:38like are you fine kind of moving Fannon down to borderline tight end one, dare I say even tight end two territory? Are
52:45you saying, "Hey, it's one week. Chill out.
52:46>> I'm not going tight end two. He's too good." But I did already move him I I had him, you know, in the low-end tight
52:51end one range. Uh I had Goddard at tight end six this week. like just I I had some of these concerns and they were
52:57basically validated today. But I will say I don't want to freak out. I still think that like I mean look >> he's got the best production the best
53:04production rating ever in the rookie supermodel. Like this is a guy that was really good as a prospect and he looked
53:10really good last year. We just don't we don't want to like overreact to week one >> but at the same time like there's a lot
53:16that he has to overcome. And yes, I do think that Casey Conpsio and playing this role that has an impact on him. I
53:21think the positive thing for Fannon is they don't really throw to the running backs here that much. And Dylan Samson, we'll see what happens. He got a knee
53:27injury today. He's the main guy that does the passing down work. So, they don't they don't throw it to the backs
53:32as well. So, you really just have like the two guys that are trying to get this role underneath. And I will say when you
53:37get into these trailing scripts, that's the spot in the field that gets left open. So, there might still be enough for these two guys to be okay, but then
53:44that would certainly be bad for uh Boston.
53:47>> Mentioned the injury to Dylan Samson wound up being mostly the Quinshon Judkins show. got some rocket. Raheem Sanders also out there. Had a nice 74
53:55yard kick return where he actually now has one of the faster nextG stat speeds of the year. I always thought it was
54:01kind of weird we called like we can't just throw around the rocket nickname into every single human that's named Raheem. Shout out to, you know, Rocket
54:07Ishmamail from back in the day. But hey, you know, I guess he made me eat my words there. Quan Jensen though, man.
54:12I'm with you. Like spoiler, guys. I didn't think that the Browns deserve to be on my quad box here, so I kind caught
54:18what I could on the red zone. after they went down, you know, 28 points so quick.
54:21Didn't see a ton of them. But didn't look quite great for Quinn Sean Judkins.
54:26Not saying he had a ton of rushing room or anything, but it really is just a problem for him if they're still going
54:31to be bringing in someone like Sanders for pass down stuff even without Samson and the pass down stuff that we'd usually expect for a running back. Well,
54:38they got Conception and they got Harold Fannon for that. Judkins, even if he is capable of catching the ball, is unlikely to have a lot of volume. He's
54:45not going to have a bunch of goal line attempts. And then we just need a guy who's still only nine months removed
54:49from a horrible lower body injury to be really efficient, which let's face it, that's asking a lot here in this offense.
54:55>> Yeah. I mean, I think all the concerns that we highlighted about Judkins like just came right into focus in this first
55:01game. You know, you you get into trailing scripts and it's really tough for these profiles to ultimately end up hitting. He gave you seven fantasy
55:08points today. He played 67% of the snaps, handled almost 70% of the rushing attempts, but it's only 13 carries because they had to, you know, get away
55:15from the run a little bit more than what they probably wanted. They stayed semi-committed to it. But it was only 2.8 yards per carry. And we've got an
55:23offensive line that they reworked. Kind of hoping it gets better, but right now doesn't look like that's going to be the
55:27case. I will say the positives, the silver lining for Quenton Judkins is that he did have a 48% route participation rate today. So almost got
55:35to 50%. And that's in the same range that we get for guys like Javvante Williams. And you know, there's a lot of
55:39guys that are a similar profile to him that are right in that range that are fine. The big issue is it's not an
55:44offense that we like. And so, how many touchdowns are we really going to get from him? I think we're going to get a
55:49few more receptions than what we think.
55:50Um, if you look back to last year, Jerome Ford was the third guy that really mixed in. Today, before the Dylan
55:55Samson injury, it was just the two guys.
55:57And so, I think if Dylan Samson's out, it's probably just Quinton Judkins and and Raheem Sanders. So, I think Judkins is going to catch a few extra passes.
56:04has had a 9% target share today. So, if you drafted him, there's nothing you can really do at this point. You can't freak
56:08out. He's probably going to be in your starting lineup. You just have to know that uh you're going to have the ups and
56:13downs due to the quality of the offense uh having major question marks.
56:17>> Prayer probably can't hurt at this point as well. Let's just be honest. So, moving along, Jets took down the Titans
56:2423-10. Jets winning outright as one and a half point dogs. Cannot believe the Jets were dogs against anyone, but you know, it is also the Jets under Cashio
56:31at 38 and a half. for at least one week, man. Gino Smith looked a little bit more like 2022, 2023. Gino Smith 215 yards
56:37completed, 19 of 24 passes. That said, I'm just wondering if we're looking at again the single worst football team in the NFL by far. And I am talking about
56:45the Tennessee Titans. So, Bree Hall 100 plus yards and a touchdown as well.
56:48Garrett Wilson caught six of seven targets for 79 yards. This was the layup though, Dwayne, and I just am cautious about putting too much into it. That
56:57said, Robert Salah has been the defensive mastermind for a lot of good teams. So maybe just maybe the Titans are going to be okay on that side of the
57:03ball, but count me as uh cautious with crowning uh the Jets after this one.
57:08I'll say that.
57:09>> Yeah, I mean, and they ran the ball most of the day. 62% of their plays were running because they were leading. Uh
57:14and the Titans offense really did struggle. We'll get into that here more in a minute, but Gino, he had 215 yards,
57:20only a 6.4 average depth of the target.
57:22So mostly the underneath variety probably just trying to not turn the ball over and end up losing the game.
57:27Completed 78% of his passes because he's throwing the ball shorter. So I'm with you. I think the biggest positive only a
57:3323% pressure rate. Um this is an offensive line that we do like the two tackles. So we're going to need to see
57:38Juno in some game scripts where you know they've got to throw the ball a little bit more. I think to be a real judge,
57:43right, of of what he looks like, especially when a defense knows that he's going to need to throw the ball, which is going to happen to the Jets. Um
57:49I would say as far as the receivers go, not a lot to report. Ian Garrett Wilson was the wide receiver. One 13.9 fantasy
57:55points, 81% routes, 30% target share.
57:58But again, guys, not a lot of passing game volume today because they were ahead. They were just opting to run the
58:02ball. Adam Mitchell was second on the team with an 81% route share. He gave you nine fantasy points today. Only a
58:0813% target share, but he's the deep threat. He had a 19.7 average depth of target. Uh he did operate also from the
58:13slot some 26% of the time.
58:16Unfortunately, man, we saw Omar Cooper Jr. right away get a 30- yard gain out of the gate. ends up injuring his ankle
58:22left on the cart. Waiting to hear more on that. The cart guys doesn't always mean a player has a serious injury these
58:28days. We just, you know, it can end up just being, you know, a low grade ankle sprain. Maybe we do the prayer circle
58:33and we get the Ashton Genty thing.
58:35>> It is reported as unfortunately X-rays negative, which is good, but high ankle MRI coming.
58:42>> Okay, that's what we don't want to hear.
58:43So, he'll probably end up going on IR is going to miss four to six weeks. That's really unfortunate for Cooper because
58:49like we're in these 20 round drafts where he's going around 19 or 20 and at that point you're like he's a round one
58:54pick, you know, on a fantasy team and I kind of got spoiled. I have Omar Cooper on so many teams probably going to have
58:59to cut him on quite a few of those and I don't think you guys are going to have to be shy about that. Uh you're going to
59:04probably have other things you may be needing to do. We have a lot of unfortunately we have quite a few injuries like that have already happened
59:08this week. So you do what you have to do. Um the one I want to point out Ian is Kenyan Sadi. you know, he was coming
59:15back from the sports hernia injury where he got the flare up in training camp.
59:18Didn't really get a lot of practice time. He was the tight end too today, 46% of the routes, but I I thought that
59:24was encouraging. I I I thought he might like have a 15% route share in the first game after coming back from the injury,
59:30but gave you 11.4 fantasy points today.
59:32He scored a rushing touchdown, 25% targets per route run when he was out there, Ian, and they were dialing up the
59:38screen plays and stuff for him. A minus 0.3 average depth of target. Kenyan Sadiq playmaker. I will say with Omar Cooper Jr. out of the mix, Isaiah
59:46Williams is really not like a target earner like I could see a role where this expands. So I would just say for
59:52Sadi like if you're in a deeper league and maybe you don't like what your tight ends look this like this week and you've
59:57got a stash spot, he's he's available man in a lot of leagues. So Kenan Sadi still can't start him in a part-time
60:04role right now, but definitely a player that could be trending up that we're excited about in the next few weeks.
60:09It's a good point on the Cooper injury probably benefiting Sadique I would say almost more than anyone. I mean having a
60:15non not having a first round wide receiver out there is obviously good news for Garrett Wilson AD Mitchell target upside but again Cooper and
60:22everything he did in Indiana particularly in his last year there very screen heavy RPO heavy and those are the sorts of again yak friendly concepts
60:29that he thrived with and that we also consider to be the strength of Kenny Sadik's uh game as well. So, no, don't
60:35go out of your way to still play pretty much anyone this offense other than Garrett Wilson and Bree Hall for the
60:39time being, but hey, at least for one week, they scored 23 points. They look like a professional football team.
60:45Haven't always been able to say that about the Jets. So, it was the Bree Hall though show overall drain. Baron Allen
60:50was out there and had 10 carries.
60:51Actually had a 20-yard touchdown, called back on a hold that probably allowed the touchdown to happen in the first place.
60:56That's not lost on me, but still very much the Bruce Hall show. And when they got to play with the lead for a change,
61:00you know, actually got some running room. Yeah, I mean 20 attempts for 102 yards and a touchdown today for Bree.
61:06Now they again, they ran the ball 62% of the time. So he played almost 60% of the snaps. He got 65% of the rushing
61:12attempts, guys. That's an elite number.
61:1470% is like JT territory. 70 75%. So when you start getting into the 65 range, you're really getting up there.
61:224.6 yards per attempt as well. So he was efficient on his opportunities. Uh 60 uh 57 said 59% of the snaps, 67% of the
61:30snaps inside the five. So, he did give a few of those away to Brilan Allen, but that that's okay. Like, he's still
61:34getting most of that work. And I think it was just mostly rotation. Um 42% route participation rate today, but it wasn't like he was just losing those to
61:42Brilan Allen. Um pro some of that is probably staying in to block because I didn't see another running back with a
61:47big-time route participation rate. Uh 60% of the two-minute offense he played.
61:50So, 9% target. So, yeah, Bree Hall looked really good today. And I think the thing, you know, with Hall is we'll
61:56just want to keep an eye on like his his passing game work whenever they get into these different scripts that you're not
62:01not just getting to run the ball. Isaiah Davis has been kind of annoying in that role in the past, but we know that Bree
62:07Hall can do it. Like, and you just pay him. Just just let him freaking do it.
62:11Like this guy is a he is one of the few one of the few running backs guys in the NFL where like you legit like without a
62:16question could say just play him 70% of the snaps. Just just let him do his thing.
62:20>> They just paid the guy, too. going. What are you waiting for at this point?
62:23Isaiah Davis was active. He just didn't play on offense.
62:26>> Yeah, he he had a really low snap share, but it wasn't uh it wasn't something where he was like jumping out there and
62:31get a lot of routes. So, again, trailing game script, so it's hard to like judge too much in this game.
62:36>> I hear you. I just That's good for Brilan's handcuff upside down minimum.
62:40>> Yeah, I think Yeah. Yes. I do think that Allen Brilan Allen is I don't want to say he's the he's a clear-cut running
62:46handcuff like some of the other guys, but I think he's definitely in the driver's seat. step in the right direction for sure. I'm with you there.
62:53Jets Packers in the battle of green teams here coming up in week two. Moving on to the Titans. Dwayne said it. They
62:59looked really freaking bad, man. They looked bad in the preseason. They looked bad for the better part of the last half
63:04decade. If we really want to call a spade a spade outside of just short reigns of dominance from Derrick Henry and AJ Brown and reigning defending
63:12all-purpose yards leader Tamary DK, who unfortunately lost a fumble in this one.
63:16But yeah, man. Cam Ward took three sacks, 39% pressure rate, so I'm not saying it's all on him out there, but
63:21just I want to see a little more consistency from this offense. I know Cam Ward's going to pull off two or
63:26three really fun offscript plays per game, and when you get 10 weeks of those, you can put together a fun 90-second highlight reel. I do that,
63:34Dwayne. Like, I see it, and I appreciate Cam Ward for it. I am worried as the sample size continues to grow and we
63:42look at every single stat that we try to use to evaluate quarterbacks. And as much as I want to say, watch Cam Ward,
63:48watch that arm angle. He's cool. When every stat says you're a really bad quarterback, I start to trust those numbers a little bit. And I don't think
63:55he's getting any help here from Dable or anyone else at this point.
63:58>> Yeah. Or as offensive line, you mentioned the 39% pressure rate. 2.22 average time to getting sacked, >> guys. Again, a quick pass is considered
64:08under 2.5 seconds. He was getting sacked by 2.22 seconds. uh or that's that's whenever the pressure was hitting. So like doesn't have a lot of time. Uh and
64:17I don't think he's the best processor yet of the game anyway. And now he's like having to speed up that clock. I
64:22mean they've got some weapons. Like they did some nice things with Carnell Tate and Wel Robinson. So like you could squint and say all right like if the
64:29offensive line could improve. Maybe we really get Cam Ward there. But I just don't think he's ready Ian to be handling this kind of pressure this
64:36early in his career. And you know what happens like with guys like this? It's like you can just like any one of us
64:41like in your job like if I was working in my cubicle and somebody came by and just like hit me every day I'd probably
64:46start getting a little nervous you know I mean I'm not doing [laughter] I'd probably be worried about doing my job and so I think it's just really tough to
64:51honestly grade Cam Ward right now in this in this situation but for fantasy like obviously we just call it what it
64:57is. Cam Ward shouldn't really be on fantasy rosters unless you're in a super flex >> and just makes it tough to get behind
65:02the associated pass catchers as well.
65:04Carnell Tate and Wondale Robson each had 38 yards. Each had six targets out there. And just looking ahead to next week against the Eagles, man, if I don't
65:12find room for either of them, my top 40, even 48 receivers, like I'm not going to be staying up at night over it.
65:18>> Yeah, man. I mean, I really I just I I just tried to fade this whole offense this preseason. I just, you know, the
65:24more and more I heard about the offensive line and stuff and looked at how it was last year, I just, you know,
65:29I just was getting worried and it's really what played out. Um, hat tip to Zayn Dani as well. Like he was putting
65:35out a lot of tidbits about what was going on in camp with this team and I was reading his stuff and I was like,
65:40you know, I don't really see a reason why I have to have Carnell Tate right here. And I like him and I I I passed
65:45Carnell Tate quite a few times when he fell to me in drafts. I was taking him in early drafts like in June and July.
65:51Then once August got here, I'll be honest, like I was just letting him go by me. You know how bad it was? I
65:56clicked on Marvin Harrison Jr.'s name one time over him. That's how you guys know what I think about Marv right now.
66:01Wow. And so yeah. Yeah, [clears throat] it was uh it was rough in these streets.
66:04Hey, he did give you 7.8 fantasy points somehow today when Cam Ward only scored 11.7 with 140 passing yards. So maybe
66:11you can argue Tate's a really good player, but the environment is a struggle bus right now. 21% target share. 92% routes out there plenty.
66:18Wandell was the number two receiver at 87%. Unfortunately for Well went back to the smurf role of playing the underneath AOT 4 right now this week. So last year
66:28we saw it really spiky and and we know Wandell Robinson can earn targets, but part of what unlocked the fantasy goodness for him was getting the targets
66:36down the field, you know, on those seam routes and things like that. One game, guys. But when you think about everything we just talked about with the
66:42way the offense is and how quick you're getting pressured, it's probably hard to design a route where you don't just have
66:48Robinson waiting there for him to meet for Ward to immediately throw it to him because he's about to, you know, get his
66:53head ripped off. But I just I don't want to mess with any of these guys. Um, I don't want any of them in my fantasy
66:58lineups. Um, I would say I'm holding Carnell Tate and I'm probably holding Wandell Robinson. I was much lower on him than Consensus. I just, man, I I I
67:07don't want these guys near my fantasy lineup right now. If one is going to surprise us, I still think it's Tate.
67:12Ian, >> did Ridley play? I know he didn't have any.
67:16>> He played Ian. I was waiting for you to ask. uh just [laughter] >> 60 64% of the routes though he was
67:23already rotating with IO Manor which is something we also heard from camp that did come to fruition. So Calvin Ridley scored zero fantasy points should not
67:30did not have a target either should not be on your fantasy rosters. You guys are already too smart for that. So you're
67:35telling us why are you guys talking about this? We didn't draft Calvin Ridley.
67:38>> So yeah that's it tight ends. [snorts] >> Hold on real quick [clears throat] did catch the only touchdown. So, because he
67:46caught a touchdown, I will not complain about Google Docs always autocorrecting his name to Epic because he's not Epic, but today he was epic. AO Manor,
67:55>> have your flowers.
67:56>> It's one of your auto corrects. Yeah, >> right. [laughter] Gunner Helm. I was chilling.
68:01>> Yeah, Gunner Helm, guys. Cut 56% routes.
68:05Goodbye.
68:06>> See you later. Tony Per, Taj Spears, identical 51% snap rates.
68:11>> Yep.
68:12>> That just kind of means we can't use either.
68:14>> That's right. Same same role. same as it ever was. 70% attempts for Pard, only 30% for Spears, but Spears led in the
68:20routes, 44% to 21%. You're like, man, that's a really low route participation rate for running backs. Yes, because their offensive line can't block anyone.
68:28If you're on the field, you're basically out there to take haymakers from a linebacker. And so, it's not good. You don't want these guys in your lineup. I
68:36actually look, I faded pard all summer, Ian, and I looked at this and I was like, look, if there's one time you're
68:42going to start Tony Pard, it's probably this week. So, I think I got him to like running back like 29 or 30 or something
68:47like that. I I'm done. Never ever ever again. Just, you know, lowend running back three is what I'll say about Pard.
68:54I didn't I I don't even think you need to keep Taji Spears either. I think honestly Taji Spears like he's got a
69:00role here. But what what happens Ian if Taji Spears gets a full-time role?
69:05>> Nothing.
69:08>> They activate Nick Nick Singleton and probably split that up. I >> I know. So, I just I don't want to be
69:13messing with this offense. What I would say is is the next time Tony Per scores over 12 fantasy points, trade him.
69:18That's my advice.
69:20>> Titans against the Eagles next week. I would not be surprised.
69:23>> Well, it's not happening next week, guys. Sorry.
69:25>> I would not be surprised at all. In fact, I would expect Vegas to say the Titans have the fewest implied points
69:29ahead of that matchup. Moving on, let's talk about some good offenses. Dwayne, the Steelers took down Steelers took down the Falcons 20-3. Old man Aaron
69:38Rogers and company covered as six and a half point faves mostly because TJ Watt did some ridiculous TJ Watt things. Add
69:44another pick six to his career total under cashier of 40 and a half. So Rogers can still sling it. I'll give him
69:50that. And there were opportunities for some big plays actually. Roman Wilson drew a really long DPI where AJ Terrell basically just had to tackle him and
69:58like if he didn't it probably would have been a long touchdown and DK Mechaf man borderline drop touchdown in the end
70:03zone. That was a laser from Rogers and we got one of those like vintage Roger stairs downs afterwards like you sure
70:09you couldn't have caught that man. And then also later like should have had his own long DPI. Terrell got there early.
70:14You can say you know slow motion makes a little more obvious it was a real fast play. Bang bang and what have you but
70:20yeah could have been a DPI there. And accordingly metap had a week high 136 unrealized air yards. So Dwayne again didn't get the production which is what
70:29we want and everything but we would like to think over the long term we can follow the volume and at least for one
70:34week Metaf had quite a bit of it.
70:35>> Yeah my big takeaway from this one was Aaron Rogers was pushing the ball down the field >> 8.8 average depth of target today. We
70:42have not seen that from Aaron Rogers. He has been the check down king. Didn't ultimately >> last year. Yeah.
70:48>> Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. So it didn't necessarily work out today but it makes sense because you're you've got META on the team. You had another receiver in
70:57Pitman. Not that he's a super deep average depth of target guy. You know, he was at 11.3 today. But the other guy
71:02that was kind of the wild card today was Roman Wilson. Like he he must have been second in unrealized area in because he
71:08had 122. And I know not not many of them were caught because he scored 5.6 fantasy points. Um but he was the
71:13starting slot wide receiver. But this is I this is uh I don't know if we can say it's bullish yet, but I that's a big
71:20positive for me because like the concern I had is like we got multiple miles to feed and if Rogers isn't willing to push
71:25it, you know, down the field, it's going to be a problem. But if he is, then there's some potential upside here for
71:30later in the season. 250 yards today for Rogers. Only averaged 5.5 per attempt.
71:35But don't let it fool you. He was pushing the ball down the field. Yeah.
71:38>> And if you look at Metaf, 100% route participation rate. When you look at DK Metaf, if there's anyone that looks like
71:43they should never leave the field, it's that man. And they didn't take him off the field today. He had a 24% target
71:49share, 10 targets. You already talked about the air yards. 7.1 average depth of targets a day for DK. He also had an
71:54endzone target. So, yeah, man. Uh 10 10 targets. Only caught four balls today.
72:00But I think this is a this is a positive for me. I think he's very much locked into like the high-end wide receiver
72:06three range of things, which is really where he's been at. But there's a chance he gets in the wide receiver 2 mix as we
72:11continue to move forward.
72:13>> He finished, I think, wide receiver 21 or 22 last year in PPR points per game, which surprised me. A lot of it was more
72:19so based on the touchdowns, but hey, if he's starting to get more volume than he even had this year.
72:25>> Yeah. Like when we were talking about him with the projection stuff way early in this year, we were like, man, like
72:29DK, like we were kind of struggling with it. We're like, do we really want to get behind this? But like the projections
72:34were like, all right, like he's way underpriced. He's going as like a low-end wide receiver three in drafts and he really projects as like a
72:41borderline wide receiver too. And I think that's kind of where we're at, man.
72:45>> It was just one week and we did see Michael Pitman actually work as the more efficient receiver, more productive receiver. He had 58 yards compared to 26
72:52for Rome and 40 for me. But did you see the quote Dwayne where kind of they were asking Rogers about the receivers and he
72:58just really had a lot of good things to say about DK and even Roman Wilson before he even got to Michael Pitman. So
73:03I don't know. I'm sure he's fine with Michael Pitman, but we'll see if this evens out. Was Pitman at least still in
73:08a full-time role even though he had >> Yeah, 93% of the routes, but only an 8% target share today, but he came up with
73:13the 8.8 fantasy points. All I'll say is Aaron Rogers, like if you and DK Metaf ever split, I would not talk about him
73:19the way you did about Greg Jennings. We know you didn't name him, but that's No, he did name him, didn't he? Or did he
73:24say no, he didn't. He said a receiver that left to another team and then is we knew the tight end was Jermaich Finley,
73:29who he was referring to as dumb. Don't say either of those things about DK Metaf Aaron because you know well maybe
73:35it's fine you know sometimes you kind of irritate me. Let's let's let's push it Aaron and see what happens if you say
73:39that stuff about uh DK [snorts] >> tight end room we had a Pat Frymouth touchdown move from the crowd and Darnell Washington basically ended the
73:48game with a first down where he also had a sweet stiff arm of the Chris Goblin variety. What we see on the utilization?
73:54Yeah. So, for Armouth, uh, 76% of the routes, uh, which we did not see in preseason, it was really split evenly
74:01between these two guys in the preseason.
74:03And we talk about this, we try to use the preseason stuff, guys, and we use it as kind of a guide. I did move Frier
74:08Mouth down a little bit my ranks. Um, not a guy that we're going to be super excited about. Still, look, you still
74:13have Metav, you still have Pitman.
74:14They're playing Wilson. Jeremy Bernard could come on later. You're still you're still you might rotate more in some games than others, but it was a positive
74:21sign this week because if he can be if he is at 75 to 80% like he's going to be a guy that like on by-weeks and stuff
74:27people could think about as far as friouth goes. Uh Jeremy Bernard only 7% routes Ian he can be cut uh pretty much
74:34in all formats for now. We'll just have to kind of keep an eye on him in the waiverwire.
74:38>> Yes, 70% plus is pretty wild. I don't think he's going to be, you know, his consistent option or anything like that,
74:43but I just thought it was going to be closer to 50/50 and it wasn't at least for one week. The running back room is
74:49pretty wild, man, because I'm looking at it and Rico led the way in snaps, but Jaylen Warren pretty easily led the way
74:55in touches. He lost a fumble early. It just didn't really seem to matter. So, for at least one week, man, Jaylen
75:01Warren the running back y'all in Pittsburgh.
75:03>> It's It's really close. I think the points are deceiving here. 10.3 for Warren, 4.1 for Dowel. uh 58% of the
75:10snaps to doubt versus 36% for Warren.
75:12Yes, Warren had more carries, 56% to 44%, but Dow, this was the weird part, 57% routes versus only 29% for Jaylen
75:22Warren. So, it's completely >> less balls.
75:25>> Yeah, it's complete Bizarro World. 14% target share for Dowel, right bel right below Warren at 16%. He just didn't catch them. It only caught two of his
75:33five targets where Warren I think caught all six of his. And that's really the difference that you're seeing uh in the
75:38fantasy points. So I think this will be much closer in weeks moving forward and I think it's it probably Ian is going to
75:44be difficult for us to predict which one of these players we want to have in our lineup. Um we just you know we get these
75:50splits where these true dead even situations which is really what this is.
75:54I think this is almost dead even and it's probably it might flip-flop back and forth like who's in the slight lead
75:59each week. We saw this last year with Seattle even we had when we had two good players like Kenneth Walker plus Zack
76:05Charbanet and honestly they like they were more committed to running the ball probably than this offense. So this this is this is troublesome for both players.
76:12Like honestly when you put bets on them you're just kind of hoping that you bet on the one that emerges and I don't
76:17think we have anything to tell us one of them has emerged. And this does match what Mike McCarthy said all offseason
76:22which is we don't see these guys as having one role or the other. We see them as being guys that can rotate and
76:27do both things. And that's pretty much what I think we're going to what we're going to see at least to start the
76:32season. Maybe one of them gets a hot hand and someone can pull ahead. But right now, pretty tough to to project
76:37these players as anything other than a really close split.
76:40>> Probably both going to be around that RB30 line cuz the cascading effect of if it's true that Aaron Rogers wants to
76:45push push the ball downfield more this season is we're not going to be getting those freaking games with 16 running back targets.
76:51>> Yeah. And these guys have more target competition. This is the most Jaylen Warren target competition Jaylen Warren's ever had. like especially if
76:57Frymouth who's a def decent receiver is playing more like 70 75% to go along with Metaf to go along with Pitman
77:04>> and then if Wilson or Bernard like and today it was Wilson Wilson had a 16% target share as well. So
77:10>> I it's pretty crowded. So I I agree with you if he's pushing the ball down the field and we've got these other mouths
77:14getting involved because look this isn't this isn't a game where Michael Pitman had an 8% target share. You can say whatever you want about Michael Pitman
77:20but like that's not sticking. Like he's still probably going to be an 18 to 20% guy on the season. I'd be pretty shocked
77:26if he's not. Um, so I I agree. I think there's going to be a lot of pressure on these backs.
77:31>> Now, don't cut them. Even if we can't give them a confidence.
77:35>> Yeah. Because worst case, guys, if it is going to be tough to start either of these guys anything more than a flex,
77:41they're still only one injury away from being like flying up into this 80 90 snap roll that we would love.
77:47>> Yeah. And they can get in your lineup on a by-week right now. Like, and and you you guys know bye, you know, they're
77:52coming. We're not worried about them right now, but they get here quicker than we realize. Every year I I real I
77:57I'm like looking at the schedule and everything. I'm like, "Holy crap, we're into bye-weeks already." So, they're not cuts, but >> you might have two better options to
78:05start on your fantasy team right now.
78:08>> D man, he got steamed, Ian. Dow was like, "God, this last weekend, I drafted like uh four or five teams because a man
78:14and Zoe, they went to New York. They went to see Harry Styles. Uh got to see the 911 stuff, which was really cool."
78:20So, I was just bacheloring it, you know, like working on our tools, working on projections and stuff. And in between, I
78:25was throwing in drafts. And man, D, >> he was going, now this is real time sports, guys, where people have complete
78:30like rabies. These people need tetanus shots like for running backs. But Dow was going around four and five.
78:36>> And I was like, man, I Yeah, I was like, man, I like him, but I can't, you know, and it was all based off of the beat
78:40reports, which was he's going to get all the base down work, which didn't happen this week. It was really the flip. It
78:45was a slight edge to Warren. And I mean I thought it was a great spot for him just specifically this week given the
78:51fact that again we had Cooper Rush under center for the Falcons. You look at all the injuries that the Falcons and
78:56suspensions they've had in their front seven. It just seemed like the sort of game where at home Pittsburgh could get up bully Atlanta a little bit and maybe
79:03run the football. Unfortunately just eight carries or 15 yards for Rico. So next week against the Patriots, wouldn't be surprised if you guys aren't starting
79:10any of the Steelers because the one that we would have a little bit of confidence DK Metaf might be squaring up with
79:15Christian Gonzalez there for most of his afternoon or evening whenever that game is. Let's talk about those Cooper Rush led Falcons Dwayne maybe as quickly as
79:22possible because we have seen Cooper Rush as very sad Cowboys fans and we kind of know what we're getting at this
79:27point. four sacks. Really only seemed interested in getting the ball and then taking set football and getting into Bejian Robinson's hands as fast as
79:35possible. 10 targets to Bejon, four for Drake London, one to Kyle Pitts where he was actually open down the seam and rush
79:42just couldn't put the ball on him before he had again way too much coverage interfering with it. So, we're going to
79:48go ahead and write these off for London and Kyle Pittz in the hope that Michael Penn is going to get back soon because
79:54it doesn't sound like two on this oblique injury is necessarily going to be a oneweek thing. I think Stfansky called it a week- toeek injury. So, if
80:01Cooper Rush is under center Dwayne, like my god, I moved London down to like low end wide receiver two range, but clearly
80:08that wasn't far enough. If it's Cooper Rush, it's literally Bejian Robinson.
80:12And I mean, okay, who the Falcons have next week? Don't tell me anyone horrible. The Panthers. Okay. We could probably rank Drake London as like a
80:19borderline wide receiver, too. But that's still crazy to say for someone like Drake London.
80:24>> Yeah. And it's interesting because we have seen Cooper Rush like be able to hold the value like for a a small game
80:30sample for a guy like CD Lamb in the past, right? But it just didn't work out, you know, for Drake London. So
80:36>> Ste's good in his defense.
80:38>> Yeah. And so I think when you look at this, like I didn't have London as low as you do this did this week, which
80:43shout out to you for getting him that low. I did move him down like four spots in the wide receiver ranks and I think
80:48like 10 or 12 spots in the flex ranks.
80:50I'll probably go a little bit lower next week, but I don't think you could go below wide receiver, borderline wide receiver, too. So, London's still going
80:57to be in most fantasy lineups. If you guys are in like an eight teamer, you know, you might have another option. If
81:01you play in Zoe's league and you're listening to this where there's only six of you, you're going to bench Drake London next week. But in most leagues
81:07that you guys are playing in, if you're listening to this show, you probably play 12 teamers that drafted at least 16
81:13players, maybe 20. And so he's gonna he's going to be in your starting lineup. But yes, it is a downgrade.
81:19Yeah, he was out there 96% of the routes, 21% target share. So it's not we know London's a good player. We just
81:24need Cooper Rush to get him the ball. Um Pitts, he was out there 81% routes. I also had the same note as you. Rush, you
81:30know, underthrew him on the deep throw.
81:32My I don't know, Ian. I didn't see where the second where the next defender was, but it looked like he was splitting
81:35them. It it was he was going for a long play. I don't know if it would have been a touchdown. I'm not going to do the
81:40Troy Aman where every time Troy he goes, you know, he's one that one defender, man, he just saved a touchdown. I'm
81:45like, man, that happens every single play. And maybe it just does. Troy knows way more than I do, Ian. Um they say
81:50it's a game of inches for a reason. But yeah, I this is a downgrade for all these guys. I will say with Pitts, I was
81:56kind of surprised because you know the role Pitts has been playing now this is a new coaching staff has been more of
82:02that underneath stuff and I thought oh man for Cooper Rush like just if you're going to dump it down to Bejon dump it
82:07down to Kyle Pittz. So I'll be I'll be interested to see where the average depth of route was because average depth
82:13of target is obviously high because he didn't have many and the one we're talking about was down the field. So I
82:18think if Pitts truly was running all deeper routes, I would downgrade him while Cooper Rush is out there. Now, that could be good when you get Pennix
82:25back, but it's not a good thing for Cooper Rush. So, I would say Kyle Pitt's borderline tight end one, >> maybe high-end tight end, too.
82:33>> Him and Harold Fannon going to be taking a little bit knocks at least relative to where we draft.
82:37>> Well, you have Dwan, we have Dalton Concaid who we've got to get to. We've got Risers as well. So, that there's
82:42they're going to get pressure not only from having a bad performance like you know for Pitts, but he's going to have
82:46pressure from other guys uh that looked really good this weekend. It was a thing though in the preseason where it's like
82:51yeah two was force feeding the ball to Kyle Pittz but a lot easier to do when you don't have Bon Robinson standing
82:56five feet away from you doing Bejian Robinson things out there. So again just the game that Bejan was amazing don't get me wrong 11 tackles avoided per PFF
83:05that was the most on the week. He had one play they were showing slow-mo just stabs out catches the ball onehanded
83:10immediately hits a spin move jukes out another guy to get like six yards. Like every single play he's got 11 defenders,
83:16one to take his head off and he still finds a way to again 83 on the ground, 90 receiving, and he of course got the
83:22touchdown as well. Like Bejian is so freaking good.
83:25>> 50% target share Ian >> for Bejan today. [laughter] He had over half of the of the targets for the team.
83:3360% of his targets came on the screen.
83:35So they're they're like literally just like, "Okay, Cooper Rush is in the game.
83:38Let's just dial this up." Uh, so yeah, Bejian, look, he's going to get his, but we we do want a better quarterback under
83:45center.
83:46>> And that is the thing, man. I was, you know, we don't have to get in the whole CMC stuff, but like when you are a
83:50running back that can push for 100 plus targets, it's almost impossible to fully bust in PPR. Maybe you won't be top
83:57three, but you're still going to be someone we feel pretty good about. So, Jan Dawson, Old May, Zakias, you good?
84:02You good here, Dwayne?
84:04>> We're good. Dodson, yes, had the most routes, but I'm not talking about it anymore. He was second behind London.
84:09Zakias. Uh, those Zakius you guys aren't carrying. Branch only 23% of the routes.
84:14He is another guy that we can cut for now.
84:16>> Let's get into arguably the game of the day, at least the most entertaining one, that's for sure. Points-wise, the Bears
84:22beat down the Panthers 59-37.
84:25Ben Johnson company tying for the fourth most points scored in an NFL game in the 21st century. So, Bears obviously covered his three-point faves. The
84:33overcash at 47 and a half before halftime was even over. I did see on the old Twitter sphere Dwayne that Mr.
84:39Matthew Freeman had this one as a five-star bet with the over. Did not have to sweat that one at all. So kudos
84:44to Mr. Freeman. And kudos to Caleb Williams, man. Completed over 70% of his passes. The trick shots were still there. The touchdown to Cole KT was
84:52absolutely gorgeous. Looked very much like someone who is ready to be a legitimate MVP candidate. As much as he continues to be a pretty divisive figure
85:00and oh yeah, also ran for 65 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He now owns the four fastest ball carrier speeds by any
85:07quarterback over these past two seasons.
85:10He has a cannon. He can run away from pretty much anyone. And like again, the thing for me when Josh Allen was having
85:16the accuracy problems, we were literally going back into high school stats and saying like he's never completed 60% passes. Caleb has, man, that highlevel
85:24college football. If we check that, if we can hit the layups like we did today, like the ceiling is the freaking moon
85:30here. Yeah, it's it's it's huge because I mean he could have had even more passing. You know, they decided to run
85:36the ball uh 56% of the time because they got into a leading situation. 34% of the time they were using play action. So,
85:43we've got the Ben Johnson offense coming into full effect here, Ian. And you talked about that amazing throw to Cole KT. Guys rolling out to his right uh
85:50coming throwing back across the field to his left in the back corner of the end zone. A perfect dot to Mr. Cole KT.
85:56Also, shout out to you Cole KT. That's a great catch uh by you tracking that ball down. Um yeah, 18% scramble rate today.
86:04So 59 yards on the scrambles uh two rushing touchdowns. He also had 9% of the designed attempts. You talked about that. That's how he ended up over that
86:1159 yards rushing because he did have three carries on the ground in the design game as well. And Caleb, we've talked about this for a while.
86:18He's a guy that while he hadn't scored a ton of rushing touchdowns, like he has this balanced profile of where he will
86:24run enough that man, he can spike for a six, eight touchdown rushing season. And he's off to he's he's off and running
86:30towards that. We got two right away in this game. We won't be projecting high rushing touchdowns for Caleb. He'll he won't be in in the high-end range with
86:37the top guys, you know, but he'll be, you know, probably every week, you know, he typically projects for like the 10th
86:42or 11th best rushing touchdown somewhere in there. And so I think he'll he'll end up staying in that range. As far as the
86:50receiving core goes, Ian, uh, do you want to just start with Coulson Loveland because I know everybody's freaking out.
86:57>> Dwayne, I mean, they scored 59 points.
86:59Surely Coulson Lovelin, Luther Bird, and Roma Dunay. Like they must have scored plenty of themselves, right? Of course.
87:05>> No. Uh, my Caleb Williams bear stacks can prove that. No, they did not. So, uh, Lovelin, zero fantasy points today,
87:14guys. Um, so look, I get it. You don't like it, but 92% route participation, that is absolutely insane. So here's what I'm going to say to you. Unless you
87:23think that Coulson Lovelin, a very good round one NFL draft pick that was really good down the stretch last year, has
87:30suddenly turned into a pumpkin and he's bad, you should be excited about this.
87:34And like my biggest advice I can give on this whole show tonight is to try to go by Coulson Love. Now, I've already got
87:40griped out on X saying that I'm Satan because I'm letting people know this, that he ran 92% of the routes. But, you
87:46know, look, Ian, we're just doing our job. And believe it or not, there's a ton of people that don't see any of our
87:51stuff. Like, the majority of fantasy players still don't see our stuff.
87:54There's there's so many fantasy players out there. And [snorts] guys, you know, in these smaller leagues, people are going to freak out. They don't want to
87:59see that donut. And so, I am putting a stake down. Coulson Lovelin is still going to have a very good season in
88:06fantasy. And this might be your only chance to buy on him. Ian, >> what if we did have like a safe word
88:12where every week we tweeted like one false route rate or something like that for this situation? Like you send out like Coulson love 35% rouse today. Uh
88:21and then you do like banana banana emoji.
88:23>> Everybody knows that really means times two plus six, you know, or something like that.
88:27>> Yeah. So like everyone's commenting like, "Oh yeah, that sucks." Like don't pay attention to anyone else's numbers on this right now. [laughter]
88:34No, I'm with you. Again, unfortunately, we never want to see a gooseay, but we want to make sure that the routes are
88:38there. The routes were not there for the whole course of a game for Terren Ferguson. That's why we're not freaking out about continuing to follow that
88:44scent for Coulson Love. They were. And look, man, Caleb looks great. The Bears just scored 59 points. Coulson Love is going to get his. I think similar
88:52sentiment for especially Luther Burton, man. Seeing him again going early.
88:56Unfortunately, lost a fumble. But not that Roma Dunes can't be good in his own right. If this offense is going to be
89:02leading the league in scoring, guess what? I'm sure all three guys can be just fine, but I'm still team Burden over a Dunes at least for one game. We
89:08did see Burden be a little bit more involved to help back that up.
89:11>> Yeah, I mean, look, 19% targets. Like, it's not elite, but it's it was still second on the team today. 56% of the
89:18time he's playing from the slot. He has 50% of his targets came on play action.
89:22He's the guy that they're moving around.
89:24A 6.8 a 6.8 average depth of target. So, I think he's fine. I do think the fumble hurt his route participation rate
89:32because he finished at 71% and we saw Khalif Raymond get out there with a 58% route share and that's not crazy guys
89:38like the Bears mostly play it out of 12 and 13 personnel today. Like they used uh they used 12 personnel on 30% of
89:45their plays. They use three tight ends which is 13 personnel 16% of their plays. So almost half of their plays they had two or three tight ends on the
89:52field. So when you have two out there that means you have Cole KT plus Romo Dunes and Lovelin and Burden. I mean,
89:58Burden, in my opinion, is clearly one of the best two options, right, in that whenever they're in that set. And it's
90:04not because I don't like Romo Dunes.
90:05It's more because of the role that they're asking Romo Dunay to play. Ian, he had a 29.7 average depth of target.
90:11He's the vertical threat. So, he's if you think of this offense as being like the the Lions, let's go with the Lions,
90:18right? We got Ben Johnson here. He's basically playing the JO role, right?
90:22And so, he can still come through. Odun is going to have his big games, but it's so much harder for him to be integrated
90:28into the offense in a way where we can feel like we're going to consistently get that fantasy production. Uh, and I
90:33think that Burden's still going to be in that role. The one thing I'm keeping an eye on is I don't want to see a 71%
90:38route participation rate uh again next week. I'm hoping this was due to the fumble.
90:42>> Was a sweet 47 yard catch by Roman Dunes. It was a sweet performance by Khalif Raymond. I know no one started
90:48him. I can tell you guys that he is still a free agent in my 32 team fantasy league. Not for long. You know, I'm on
90:54that set come Wednesday. But man, caught eight of nine targets, 84 yards.
90:58>> Hey, >> he's gonna be on he's going to be everyone's going to be on him in a 32teamer league. Ian, when you sort by
91:03fantasy points last week, he's going to be the only name that [laughter] shows up that was not like a three.
91:09>> It is really bad out there, but really was at least for one week, man, firmly ahead of Xavian Thomas, which is a
91:15takeaway. So, no, we're not going to be >> we're not going to be chasing this Dwayne for 32year-old [clears throat] career return man and everything. But
91:22hey, Khalif Raymond for right now, probably this year's Sammy Watkins Memorial Award winner. [laughter] >> Yeah, we could give him that. I'm not
91:30picking him up even in deep leagues. I'm just going to say that about Ray. I mean, look guys, it was still 58% of the
91:35routes. Uh, you know, he did have a 35% target share today, nine targets, a seven average depth of target. Uh my
91:42biggest concern is I don't want him to become a thorn in the side of Burden because if they're playing these two
91:48tight end sets and one tight end sets then if you're having to rotate on top of that like that that could put Burden
91:55in this 71% route range and that that's the biggest thing that we're following from this. It's not that we pick up
92:00Raymond it's like really wanting to see Burden out there because I'll be honest when I figured that they were going to
92:04run this much tight end stuff. I had them projected for the most the second most tight end routes in the league.
92:09That's what made it so easy for me in Burden. I really liked him, you know, as a talent. He rated out well in the
92:14rookie supermodel. All those things, but I was like, man, like with the receivers they have behind him, like it's almost a
92:19lock. He's going to be at like 85%. So the 71% again is like is the big thing that I I want to see take care of itself
92:26next week.
92:28>> Spend six months doing as much as possible try to learn this game. And then Khalif Raymond drops 16.4 PPR points on your head in week one. Got to
92:36love it. Gotta love DeAndre Swift. Not one, not two, three touchdowns for the recently extended Bears running back.
92:42But hey, Kyle Manungi looking healthy in his own right. 100 yards in a score on the ground. Chipped in 24 more receiving
92:47yards. I think his touchdown run was like of the 61 yard variety. So, good god. Carolina show a little pride out
92:54there at a certain point, man. Like they cannot stop anyone out here getting dunked on by Kungai and Khalif Raymond.
93:00But yeah, it did seem like pretty similar, Dwayne, to kind of like the the second half usage we saw here where
93:05yeah, Swift is the lead back, but you look up and more times than not Kungai is probably going to find his way of
93:10double digit touches as well.
93:12>> Yeah, I mean with Swift 32.4 fantasy points today, guys. Uh so you were very happy with that. I will say the role is
93:20exactly the same as last year. 56% of the snaps to him, 44% to Manungai, 56% of the attempts to Swift, 31% of the
93:29attempts to Manongai. Um, so 60% of the snaps inside the five went to Swift, 40% went to Manungai. So I think this is
93:36another one where neither one of these guys like has like the clear handle Ian on like a certain role. It's more like
93:42Swift gets two drives and then we get one drive from another guy. I think that's essentially what's it's a little closer than that, right? it's
93:48like, you know, not quite, you know, two drives versus one. Um, so I think it just what this comes down to like for
93:56Swift, obviously this is this will pro this could probably be Swift's biggest game of the season and that's that's not bad. Like if he's still if he's if he's
94:02giving you 25 pointer next week, you're still good with that, but this is the same role that we saw last year. So I
94:08think Swift is going to come down from this is what I'm saying. I'm not saying you guys have to go sell him. I'm not
94:13I'm not trying to be like negative Nancy here, but I would not expect this kind of production from Swift. But this might
94:19be one of the best offenses in the league. And so if it is, then we could see DeAndre Swift like keeping on
94:26keeping on as far as like being a guy that we're trying that we're ranking in our top 12 every single week. But the
94:31role is not different. And I don't I that'll be something a lot of people will potentially miss and thinking, "Wow, Swift just took over the
94:37backfield." No, it was the same split as we saw last year. Dwayne not projecting Swift for 2,000 total yards and 40
94:43touchdowns based off this. What a hater you happen to be, Mr.
94:47>> Hey, look, I'm not a hater because if I was a hater, I would say sell high. I'm too scared to do that because the
94:52offense looks so good. [laughter] >> I'm with you on that one. So, going to have a steeper test next week against
94:56the Blitz Happy Vikings. But man, with the way Caleb and company are grooving, I would not be wanting to put pretty
95:02much any of these bears near my bench.
95:04And yes, that does include the underperforming wide receivers. What's up?
95:07>> Yeah. So, like what I would say on Swift, if we think this offense is really good, like think of him like
95:12Kirn, right? Swift may have moved into the Kairen Williams tier now, which is like you're you're not like elated to have Kairen, but you're good. You're
95:21like, I'm starting Kairen Williams every freaking week, and I feel pretty good about that. He's going to he might score three touchdowns. It might be one, but
95:28I'm still okay. I'm usually not dying at my running back two or in my flex spot whenever I get to play that. So, I would
95:33say if this offense is as good as we think it is, like the way they looked this week, he's in the Kairen Williams
95:38tier is what I would say for Swift.
95:40>> I am with you there, my friend. Someone who is not in that tier, though, >> Jonathan Brooks and the Carolina
95:45Panthers, Dwayne, he >> don't want to put him down, though.
95:48Again, it was their defense's fault.
95:49Bryce Young Company, 37 points. Bryce 361 and three ts through the air. I have sat here a lot of Sunday nights, people,
95:57and had to hear Dwayne talk about Bryce only throwing for 130 yards again across 60 minutes of football. Not today, man.
96:03Two dime touchdowns to Jaylen Coker.
96:06Also almost have one of Ted McMillan.
96:08Got tackled just short of the goal line.
96:09Bryce also ran in for a touchdown. Man, that dude is a problem when he's able to break contain and all of a sudden he's
96:15just kind of playing basketball out there, able to flip the ball around to any number of dudes. So, hey, just one
96:20game. I do not think the Bears defense is going to be anything to write home about. I honestly I think the Bears are
96:26more lethal than the 2025 Cowboys overall, but I could see it being very similar where it's just every single week we're looking up going, "Oh my god,
96:33another 60 plus points scored in this game." That's kind of the state of this very banged up Bears defense as well
96:38right now. But I don't want to take anything away from Bryce. It was a great performance and he needs to stack these
96:43up this year because it does seem like it's sort of the make or break outcome.
96:46Are we Dwayne next week against the Falcons going to be lining up to all of a sudden start these Panthers? Probably
96:51not. But hey, Hall of Debut.
96:54>> Yeah. I mean, look, the the thing I'll say about Bryce Young Ian is when as many times as we've talked about like
96:59150 passing yards. When he does have his big game, it's a big game. Like, you know, he will throw for well over 300
97:06yards, he'll have a performance like this. I think if you're hoping that Bryce Young is actually like turning into something else, which I'm not
97:13there. I will need to see multiple weeks of this. My advice would be if you have Young in a Dynasty League, I would go to
97:19the Sam Darnold manager. If you're in a superflex, if you know you got Young as your QB3, I'd be trying to move him like
97:25right now. But if you're trying to be like glass half full, rosecolored glasses, hey Dwayne, I'm a Panthers fan.
97:31Can you just stop bagging on Bryce Young for one moment? I think it's the emergence of Jaylen Coker to go along
97:37with T McMillan. Like if Jaylen Coker is for real, and then you have McMillan who we we do think is for real, even though
97:43Coker outscored him today. Hey man, like if you got good two good weapons like that, I mean that's what you need. you
97:49you can't do it all with one player. So, if Coker is really taking a step forward, it's not like Bryce Young has
97:55had the best targets in his career, right? I mean, we had Adam Thielen that one year where he was kind of going off
98:00to begin the year, but he's he's never had two guys. So, I would say that's like the silver lining is if Coker is
98:06taking a step forward, maybe that unlocks Young. And I and to your point, Ian, like he's really good in the scramble drill. He was good in that in
98:12college. And you you do see flashes of that and it's usually in these big games where he does this. So, it's in there
98:19somewhere. It's just can he be consistent with it? And I, you know, if I had to bet on it, you know, I'm
98:24betting against it, but I Coker is the path to being wrong.
98:29>> And the fact that again, we've got Coker stepping up. I mean, Carolina tried.
98:32They used the round one pick on Xavier Lette. It didn't work out and everything, but they've never gotten anything out of the tight end position.
98:38Darren Waller actually did have a short touchdown early taken off by what I really do believe was a ticky ttac OPI
98:43penalty. So, something to keep in mind there. But yeah, it was again a good game. Didn't come against the Falcons for once. And guess who we get to play
98:50next week? It actually is the Falcons.
98:51So maybe I should go back on that. Bryce owns the ATL uh you know team down there. So Jaylen Coker though, we are
98:58seeing Dwayne. And look, it's going to take a lot more games for me to go all in on it. But we're at seven or so
99:06straight games of Coker really outproducing Ted McMillan. Who do I think is better football? T-Mac. Who do I want on my fantasy team the rest of
99:13the year? T-Mac. But if we're sitting here another month still saying this, like at some point we got to give Mr.
99:19Jaylen Coker his flowers and say he's a real wide receiver one here. I don't think we'll get to that point to be
99:24fair.
99:24>> Yeah. But I mean I think we can say Jaylen Coker to your point like he's just continues to put up good games, you
99:31know, to do it. And Garrett, you know, stacking games on games, you know, stacking plays on plays, you know, it's like, okay, that's what we're getting
99:36from Coker right now. He gave you gave you 33.8 8 fantasy points today, 93% route participation rate, 27% target share. He had 126 air yards, 28%. He had
99:48an average depth of target of 14. So again, Bryce Young pushing the ball down the field today. He had an 8.9 average
99:54depth of target. Young did slot [snorts] 39% for Coker today. So look, he also had a red zone target, ends up with nine
100:00catches for 180 or nine catches for 138 yards. So yeah, you're feeling good about Coker. I think he's for sure in
100:08the wide receiver four conversation Ian you get another week like this he moves into the wide receiver three and if he
100:13does it again like yeah we might just be like all right like is Jaylen Coker a wide receiver two and Tech McMillan's a
100:19wide receiver three I think they end up probably being pretty close they were in this game really McMillan was out there
100:25just as much only a few targets less 24% versus that 27% same average depth of target also played from the slot not as
100:33much as Coker um but almost the same area yards as well 112 versus the 126 for Coker. The difference is McMillan,
100:39it just didn't come to fruition today.
100:41You know, he had eight targets but only five catches for 75. And so to me, like they honestly like if you played this
100:48game over a 100,000 times and simulated it like they probably are just back and forth. And then there's a lot of games
100:53where they're even. And so I think this is they're both fine. I think they're both fine. But if they're both good, we
101:01do need Bryce Young to also be better by having two good weapons. Because if Bryce turns back into 150 175 yards and
101:08now we got to split this thing between these two guys, that could be a problem.
101:12>> And I do look at the 37 pass attempts, which would have been his third most of last regular season, and just wonder how
101:17often they can get that. But this defense looked really bad. And I know the Bears offense is good, but I think
101:25both those things could be true.
101:28The Panthers, their O line's banged up.
101:31They It's the most expensive group in the league, though. Like we've seen them run the ball well. Chuba looked good out
101:35there. They'd like to get more out of Jonathan Brooks. I'm just a little worried that we get a more competitive Panthers team if it's out there and then
101:43all of a sudden Bryce is back to throwing 25 times. That's the problem here for someone like Jaylen Cooker.
101:47Keep it up.
101:48>> Volume is Yes. And they've shown when they're Look, they were getting blown out today, guys. And so they threw the
101:52ball 65% of the time. That is not the Panthers recipe for success. Now, maybe it'll change if Bryce Young, you know,
101:58influ, you know, influences them, you know, with this and they get more confident, you know, in him as a coaching staff and maybe having more
102:04weapons they like changes things up. But the last two years, this is definitely not the way they've tried to play football.
102:10>> Are you ready to blow 30 40% fab on Jaylen Cooker?
102:14>> We were going with that. Uh, yeah.
102:16Jayen J, do I want to do a line of blow? Is that what you just asked? [laughter] >> It is Jaylen Coker. So, um, cokeheads
102:27are loving this, Ian. Um, h, no, I I mean, I think you if you need a receiver, I think 25% would probably be like the range I would
102:38get to. Um, if you're playing in a like a super competitive league where like and if if you are like, he's gone,
102:43right? So, this is going to have to be a smaller league. So, I'm thinking 20 25% >> is is the max I would go on Coker if I
102:52really need a receiver. Because that was my thought. I was like, that was my initial thought. I was like, well, I
102:56have a 14 team league where we got to start three wide receivers and we have three flexes. And my immediate next
103:01thought is there's no chance in hell with Jerusale.
103:03>> He's 50% there, maybe more.
103:05>> So the so the leagues that he's going to be available in is probably two wide receivers, one flex, and then it's
103:12trying to Ker could have an amazing season, and maybe he will, man. But I just it's going to be a while before
103:17we're confident enough to even put him in one of those spots. Do you think he's I I look, he'll be in my wide receiver
103:22four group most likely next week.
103:25>> I don't want to immediately strip Khalif Raymond of uh some of the praise we gave him, but this is probably the Sammy
103:31Watkins Memorial right here.
103:33>> Hey, he he's he's in a full-time role though. So, 93% routes versus 58% for Raymond. So, um, different and and Coker
103:41is a guy that like >> while he didn't grade out super great in the rookie supermodel, he went to a really small school that hurt him
103:46because the schedule was easy. But like the dude did ball out at Holy Cross like and then we've seen him, you know,
103:52basically work his way into getting a contract from being an undrafted free agent. So, like if we follow like the career arc of Coker, like it's an upward
104:00trend. So, like the best one I would compare him to is what if he is Adam Thielen?
104:05>> Hey, >> that's the career arc of Adam Thielen.
104:07So, we can't say that he's not. He might be Adam Thelen. Like, that's what you're betting on. But again, you need a lot of
104:13other things. T McMillan's going to be good enough to get work. It It will all This all comes back to Bryce Young. Can
104:18Bryce Young be better?
104:20>> Darren Waller, what was the route rate?
104:22>> Uh Darren Waller was at 42%. And you know who else had 42%. Ian, can you guess?
104:28>> Tommy Tremble.
104:29>> Tommy Tremble. Yes, you are correct.
104:32Javon Sanders did not play in this game, guys. Uh he is like uh gone. I guess he's he's there but he's gone. Uh he's
104:40maybe just there in spirit is what we would say. And then yeah, we had um why is my mind going blank? I didn't write
104:46it down. It was a three-way rotation.
104:47Yes, Mitchell Evans.
104:49>> Big dude, man. Watching him lumbering around after he catches that ball. Woo.
104:52Like he steamrolls. Not not the most agile guy, but I wouldn't want to tackle him. I'll say that.
104:57>> He's uh he had a sick one-handed catch against the Buckeyes when they went into South Bend and uh snatched that one
105:02away. I gotta just remind myself of these past Ohio State wins Dwayne because they're they're very few and far between uh these days as I found out on
105:09Saturday night. The backfield Juba Hubard not one but two touchdowns and man don't freak out because we know Jonathan Brooks had the soreness and
105:17they seem to be pretty deliberate about ramping them up but 69 to 19% snap rate that is nowhere near the 5050 mark that
105:25I think a lot of us thought could have been on the table.
105:28>> Yeah. And it was really more than that because essentially Tuba Hubard uh at the end of the game, right, he just he
105:34wasn't out there. So if we look at the snaps over the first three quarters, he had 77% of the snaps. I mean, that's a
105:43strangle hold on the back field. 71% of the attempts, 63% of the routes. So there was nothing that Jonathan Brooks was taking away from him. Jonathan
105:50Brooks was literally a change of pace option in this game. Now, to your point, Jonathan Brooks is a guy that the
105:56coaching staff still loves. He's a guy that we know was explosive in college.
105:59Uh he was dealing with the injury last week. So I don't know that this holds on Hubard, but I also don't think it just
106:05disappears immediately. I think next week we're going to feel pretty good about Chuba Hubard in my opinion. I think that, you know, Jonathan Brooks
106:12could slowly work into more. You know, anything could happen, guys. It could be 50/50 next week. This weird things happen in fantasy. But Hubard played
106:20well. So, I mean, why why would you suddenly be like, "No, I mean, he could lose some work to a healthier Jonathan
106:26Brooks." But I think right now we should consider him pretty much the clear-cut running back one in Carolina. Is that going to hold all season? Maybe not. But
106:35right now, I we should feel pretty good about Chuba Hubard. Uh, all the work inside the Fian, all those snaps. Like,
106:41I mean, there's nothing bad. He had all the two-minute offense. He had everything. Would you would he be fine starting Chuba without getting the
106:50matchups just usage based ahead of Tony Pard to Jarian Price next week all easy?
106:57>> All of them.
106:58>> Bucky Irving is probably worth a little closer.
107:00>> I'm going Irving, but yeah.
107:02>> Yeah, that's about it. Cool.
107:03>> I I really do think he's worst case low-end running back two. You might get him as high as mid-range running back
107:08two.
107:09>> 23.7 fantasy points today. And again, didn't really play in the third in the fourth quarter.
107:14Brooks did haul in a 48 yard catch down the side. Nice ball there. So, >> yeah, he scored 7.2 fantasy points. Uh,
107:22he had 23% of the snaps over the first three quarters. AJ Dylan came in late and so like things are wonky if you look
107:29at the whole game, guys.
107:30>> Yeah, >> but 23% of the snaps, 29% of the attempts for Jonathan Brooks before we got to the fourth quarter.
107:37>> Keep it up, Panthers. I like this. 37 points.
107:40>> I like this. Yeah, >> keep it going.
107:41>> You know what, Bryce? I am in your corner.
107:44>> Yeah.
107:46>> Battle a top the NFC South uh standings next week, Dwayne. Panthers Falcons.
107:50We'll see who uh comes away in first.
107:52>> Up next, last game in the early slate, we had the Bills take down the Texans 36 to 31. Buffalo winning and covering us
107:59one and a half point road favorites.
108:01Overcash at 44 and a half. Some people are probably going to try to put this on CJ Straden. He was not perfect out
108:07there. Had had two loss fumbles, one at the end. The game wasn't ideal. But if you guys did not watch the end of that
108:13Bills drive, Josh Allen went back to 2018 Josh Allen for a brief moment and just tossed one up in the end zone and
108:20Kamari Lacier who otherwise had, you know, did some good things out there.
108:24Dropped an interception that hit him in the chest and the very next freaking play Allen went back to Josh Palmer against Lacier and he torched him for
108:31like a 30-yard touchdown to go ahead and take the lead for wound up being the win. So again, back and forth fun game.
108:38I don't think this is what any one of us were kind of expecting in terms of us going down to the wire. 3631 between
108:43these two teams. Of course though, it really was Superman doing it all for the Buffalo Bills wearing a number 17 jersey. 334 and two scores through the
108:51air and there are 23 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Even against, in my opinion, the best defense in the NFL, it
108:58just didn't matter, Dwayne, because Josh Allen's gonna do Josh Allen things.
109:01>> Yeah. So much for Josh Allen never being able to perform against the Texans, you know? I mean, 35.7 fantasy points per day. Today, he threw
109:09a touchdown on 7%, you know, of his attempts, completed 69% of his passes.
109:14>> Nice.
109:14>> They worked a ton from under center, 52%. That's something they had talked they they've done that before, but they talked about it this off seasonason. Uh
109:22we're using play action, all those things. So, look, Josh Allen, it's funny. It's like one of these deals where it's like, man, I don't know. I'm
109:28gonna take Josh Allen in round three.
109:30It's going to hurt my build. And this is why Josh Allen is on over 50% of ESPN playoff leagues every year, even
109:37whenever people are spending a round two pick on him because he just he does these things >> Wednesday weeks.
109:41>> And I Yeah. And I and I get it. Like Trevor Lawrence and other guys lower down that you got to take later in your
109:46draft did it. But Josh Allen is the one that's most likely to just like he gives you this range, this ceiling every week,
109:52>> you know, and his floor is like so good.
109:54So look, if you have Josh Allen, you love him. I was one pick away in a draft this weekend, Ian. uh of him coming back
110:00to me in round five. And people are probably listening to this going, "You're a complete [ __ ] for draft for
110:05not drafting him in round four." And yes, you are correct. I should have and I nearly did, but I was like, I looked
110:11at the guys on the other side of me. Uh and one of them had already taken Lamar.
110:14Lamar went first in that one. And I was like, "Ah, I only has to get by one one dude." And I was looking at his running
110:20backs. I was like, "He needs a runner."
110:22And he was smart. He took Josh. I tried to play the board and I found out it went wrong.
110:27have one of the best throws of the week before halftime. Just slid it in that honey hole with the safety coming over
110:32the top to DJ Moore. Safety went flying past him. DJ took it the rest of the way. 100 yards in a touchdown, eight
110:39targets in his Buffalo Bills debut.
110:41Could have been even bigger, man.
110:42Apparently DJ is just the guy where when Josh says, "All right, well, I am out of room to scramble here and I see DJ down
110:48there with, you know, god knows how many defenders. I'm going to throw it up and give him a chance." 80 unrealized are
110:53yards, which was like a top five, six number. That doesn't even include the long DPI that DJ Moore drew to go get
110:59them down inside the five yard line.
111:01That could have been again a 50-yard touchdown. He was behind the coverage in the first place. So >> DJ looked fine out there and Josh looked
111:08like a god. And if those two things are coexisting, I mean, why can't DJ Moore put up a top 12 season?
111:13>> Yeah. So I think the interesting thing here is like the narrative that we were really hearing, which is the offscript
111:19stuff is where those two were really thriving. That's what we saw in this game, >> you know, and people talked about, hey,
111:24the strength of DJ Moore's game is really like more offscript. You go back to that year with Justin Fields, it wasn't as much about timing and all
111:32those things. His first year as a bear when he was just out there roasting the Commanders, you know, every time he
111:36faced them for like 300 yards or whatever it was. Uh, so yeah, 81% routes, so like still not a full-time role. The Bills are going to do Bill's
111:46things, but 21 >> little leg thing briefly. He came back in like he's fine, but that could have something.
111:51>> That'll happen whenever you get thrown double coverage balls like three times in a [snorts] game. Uh I mean, so and
111:56the a lot of the stuff was on these extended plays, you know, that we're talking about. You know, that that sideline shot was definitely on that. Um
112:03led the team, man, with a 29% target share. Targets per route run 31%.
112:0819.1 average depth of target, 153 airs, 46% of the team's air yards. Oh, look at this. Refresh depth route. Average average route uh depth is now
112:19populating. Thank you, True Media. We love you. 13.4 average route depth for DJ Moore. I can't remember off top of my head, but I
112:27want to say like the last few years, he's more like a 10 or a nine.
112:32>> So, yeah, this is uh >> I think this is bullish, you know, for for DJ Moore. Uh I I started drafting
112:38him more at the end, but I wish I would have been drafting him more early on in fantasy. Yeah, I mean there was just so
112:43many guys in that range that I feel like for good reason. We had a lot to like.
112:47Zay Flowers, Christian Watson, who we'll get into in a little bit. Parker Washington, the Luther Burdens of the world. So, you know, DJ Moore was one of
112:54those guys in that range that obviously deserved to be if not even higher. So, fantastic move there and what was supposed to be the tough matchup, man. I
113:01thought Derek Stingley could be a problem, but it's not always a problem when you got again Josh Allen throwing him the football. So, dude, going up
113:07against the Lions on Thursday night, we just saw that secondary. Like, is DJ Moore going to be top 10 for you
113:14already? Are you saying we'll go top 15 and we'll see about that later?
113:17>> Yeah, we'll probably go high-end wide receiver, too. You know, uh I haven't thought about it too much, but this looked really good. And again, like
113:23didn't have the full route stuff and this game was a shootout, so we know the Bills still like to run the ball. So,
113:29suddenly you have an 80% route share.
113:31You get into a game where the run game is working and you're not in a shootout.
113:35Now, the Bills defense looks really bad.
113:37>> And Shawn McDermott, you know, was a pretty good guy on the defensive side of the ball. Like, he knew how to tape
113:42things together. They didn't always have like the best personnel over the last couple years and the defense remained at least competitive.
113:48>> I think the best case for like all all of the Bills besides maybe James Cook is like if this defense just can't, you
113:54know, keep games in check. And if that happens, like Josh Allen's going to obliterate like QB1 U and DJ Moore's probably going to be a top 12 wide
114:01receiver. So, one data point, but still very positive. Yeah, I would say mid-range wide receiver two, but obviously we know wide receiver one
114:08upsides on the table.
114:09>> I was reading uh I love Ben Solic's work over at ESPN. He was talking about the Bills and how their change at defensive
114:15coordinator could actually have a lot of growing pains early in the season because they're going to a more again aggressive approach after regularly
114:21keeping things simple with Shawn McDermott at least for one week. Mr.
114:24Solic looking spot on there. DJ Moore baller and Dolan Concincaid also a baller went up and made a sick catch over Mr. Derek Stingley. also caught
114:33another ball out there. We shot off some of the yak juice. Looked healthy, looked good. And accordingly, Dwayne, I think we actually have a positive data note on
114:42Dolan Concaid. Let's hear it.
114:44>> We do. I mean, number one, the team used 13 personnel 40% of the time today. So, that's three tight ends on the field
114:51with one wide receiver guys. And what's important is last year and the well, multiple years, Reggie Gilliam was the fullback for the Buffalo Bills. He's a
115:00very good fullback. he left and went over to the Patriots. Well, they've got a good third tight end and Jackson Haw
115:06who's really kind of like plays that role now, but he plays as a tight end.
115:10And so, if you're going to go 12 and 13, there's just more opportunities now for Dalton Concade to get on the field. When
115:15he was leaving the field over these last two years, Ian, it was primarily when they would play 21, which is a running
115:20back with a fullback, and that [snorts] was where they would go with Dawson Knox. But now, if you're going to use
115:25tight ends for that, Dalton Concaid can be one of them. And so we did see a very positive data point for him here. It
115:31wasn't as high as it was early in the game. When I first reported on it, it was at 75% over the first two quarters.
115:36Uh but Concaid finished the night at almost 70% route share. And I guys, that's still not exactly where we want it. But what you have to realize is with
115:44Dalton Concaid, we've battled like 50 to 55%.
115:48Occasionally, he'd get to 60%. So 70% of the time might work all the time in the Buffalo Bills offense, like if you know
115:54what I'm saying. So 27% targets per route run, second to only uh DJ more.
115:59Well, actually no, Khil Shakir with 29%.
116:02So very consolidated uh targets, but he was second on the team in target share, 21%. And we know he's a guy that can
116:09really work down the field, and we saw that in this game, and that's something we knew about him in his college
116:13profile, Ian, but it hasn't necessarily come to fruition in this game. 15.8 uh was his average depth of target. Average route depth was right at a nine. So
116:23playing the slot, moving around like didn't wasn't in motion a bunch. They don't use a lot of motion on this offense, but just lining him in
116:28different spots. 33% of his targets came on play action, which is something Joe Brady is really known for. So I would
116:34say Dalton Concaid, if I project him, it's if I move him up to 70% of the routes uh in the projection model, which
116:41I haven't done yet, he will certainly be inside the top 12. And if he goes higher than this, which they could reward him
116:47with more playing time, he's looking really good, looking finally healthy, man, there's a chance Dalton Concade is right as he's there as a mid-range tight
116:54end one by like week three. And if once he gets to that spot, like he he has the kind of talent profile where he really
117:02could like surprise with a top three tight end season. I'm not going that high right now, guys. But >> tight four right now. Why not?
117:10>> Go for it. He's definitely he's definitely I think he's definitely in the top 10 probably in the top eight now. Um that's just me like you know
117:19kind of spitballing it. But look he he should be playing you know in fantasy leagues and a lot of you guys may have
117:24taken him as your second tight end and you're going to be putting him in over your number one tight end. Look it's a
117:29great it's a good offense man. I'll take I will say I'll take 70% routes in a really good offense over 80% in a bad
117:36one.
117:37>> Coulson Lovelin were going back the well. Trey McBride's a beast. If Brock Bowers is out again, I might rank him
117:42third, Dwayne. Like Tyler Warren for an extra >> for multiple weeks.
117:46>> I don't know either. I'm just saying like that's to me those are the three untouchable guys once we get to Tyler
117:52Warren, Sam Laaporta, Tucker Craft, Harold Fannon, Kyle Pitts. We've already talked about Fannon and Pitts going down. We could see Kade as in that top
118:01five this very next week. He's got the Lions. That's going to be a shootout.
118:04>> Yeah, I'll be keeping Well, yeah, just for this week. I'm just saying for rest of season ranks, I wouldn't go above
118:09Warren. I wouldn't go above Craft, but then you're kind of at the line where I think like it's all fair game. Uh, and
118:15yeah, and a potential shootout versus the Lions. Yes, I do think Dalton Concincaid might be top three this next week.
118:23>> I'm happy we got one of these, man. I couldn't have Terren Ferguson. Chicky got hurt. Um, Darren Waller didn't get
118:30there. We needed one to hit. Gaton didn't get there. Dalton Concincaid.
118:34Dalton Concade is our uh he's our hope.
118:38>> James Cook hopefully will be our hope.
118:40He wasn't today. Couldn't get going.
118:42Tough defense. Got through it last year.
118:44>> It was a little bit underwhelming to not see more receptions without Tai Johnson.
118:48Obviously, the offense is working just fine without it. And as we know with Josh Allen, he's not exactly looking to check the ball down at the first sign of
118:55danger out there. Did we at least see more routes than we usually see though without Ty Johnson?
118:58>> 56 56% for James Cook. He's been a guy that's been around the 40 to 45% mark.
119:04So, that's a 10% improvement. And he did not give away carries to get there. Uh, still handled 68% of of the rushing
119:10attempts. And it's more for for the running back room because Josh Allen guys had 21% of the design rushing attempts today. He had four 13 carries
119:17for James Cook. Look, 4.4 yards per carry against, you know, the Texans. I think it's right about where I had him
119:24projected. You know, it's just a really tough defense. I mean, that means James Cook's probably still a five yards per carry player. He's going to be very
119:30explosive. Like, he's going to have massive games. this just, you know, it's a tough matchup. Gave you 9.9 fantasy points uh today, but move on. Um Ray
119:38Davis only had 5% of the snaps and was tied by Frank Gore. Now, that might have been late or something in the game. I
119:45haven't dug into that that deep, but yeah, it was all James Cook. James Cook and Josh Allen.
119:50>> Frank Gore came out of retirement. Frank Gore Jr., sorry. Thank you. Thank you, Dwayne. Texans, hey, spirited effort again. Would have been cool if they
119:58could have caught that interception, gotten the win. at least it would have been cool for Texans fans, but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.
120:03But CJ Stout again really just had I'll probably put together a clip tomorrow. I thought he had five or six just really
120:08good throws. And reminder, Dwayne, we went some really, really long extended periods last January. We didn't see CJ Stra making really good throws in games
120:17like that. So 274, two touchdowns through the air. Found Nico Collins and found Kahan or not Kan Booty, found Nico Collins for one of them. He got Dave
120:25Montgomery for the other one. He had three touchdowns out there. Okay. So, if this offense, maybe the Bills defense just sucks, but man, if we can see the
120:32Houston Texans just being good, I don't need them to score 30 points a game, but being, I don't know, the 14th or 15th
120:39ranked scoring offense, that's when we can get really excited about Dave Montgomery replicating performances like this, guys. Fell into the end zone three
120:46times. One of them was a nice little run from 20 yards. I'm not trying to take anything away from the guy, but, you
120:51know, 23 touches for 79 total yards. It wasn't a masterclass in efficiency out there. But if we're going to have a
120:57dominant defense against worst offenses in the Bills, obviously, and CJ Stroud and company are just good, not even great, that's where Dave Montgomery goes
121:06from being a potential dead zone round five trap to being what the kids might call a league winner.
121:11>> Yeah. And you know that they're going to be in games where they can hold the script better in check with their
121:15defense than this, you know. So, yeah, I think when you look at it, like for the running backs, um, it was what
121:22the Beat reporters said. It was an exact split. 50% 51% of the snaps to Montgomery, 49% to Woody Mar.
121:30>> They said 5050. They're wrong as usual.
121:32>> They were lying. They were lying so much. But, uh, they were on. Um, but it was David Montgomery getting 64.5% of
121:38the rushing attempts versus 29% for Woody Marks. And then it was really Woody Marx getting more of the passing down work, 48% of the routes versus 33%
121:47for David McGomery. Uh, I think, you know, a positive is it was that game script today and David McGomery still came through for you. It's it's probably
121:54going to be a little more tricky if they get into trailing scripts, but again, you have the Houston Texans defense.
121:59There's not many teams that can do what the Bills did with a player like Josh Allen that can really like run the
122:04Texans up and down the field. And so, I think when you look at David McGomery where things ultimately settle out, like
122:10he scored 28.9 fantasy points per game, 28.9 fantasy points today. I don't know that he'll reach that again this year, but I think he's going to be a 14 to 16
122:18fantasy point per game player. That's probably where he's going to land in the rest of the season projections once I give his uh rushing attempts another
122:24boost back up. Um, and Woody Marks is going to be playing the passing down.
122:27So, I would say if you are in, you know, medium to deeper size leagues, like Woody Marks is a guy uh that's going to
122:34be out there. Five fantasy points today.
122:36Um, but it's that kind of profile, Ian, where like you're not like crazy about it, but let's say you've got a couple of
122:41handcuffs as your running back's three and four. Maybe you've got a Tank Bsby and I don't know some a Tyler Algier or
122:46something like that.
122:47>> Ray Davis.
122:48>> A Ray Ray Davis. We don't even know if he's the handcuff anymore. Like I've got to dig into that one more. I'm guessing
122:54that Ray Davis is still the handcuff.
122:55But yeah, you got two guys that you're not comfortable starting and you hit your by-weeks. A guy like Woody Mars is
123:00someone that you can at least like put in your running back two spot. You know, he's got some playing time and he does
123:05have contingency upside if something happens to Montgomery.
123:08>> Feeling good about Deont. Feeling good about Nikl Collins. again caught seven of 10 targets, 75 yards, and a touchdown. Looking healthy, which has
123:15really been the only problem with holding him back and not putting together one of these true top 10, dare I even dream about a top five fantasy
123:22season. So, great first step there. Sure seemed like though, Dwayne, behind Nico Collins. Bit of a rotation. And again, just looking at this team that they want
123:29to win by defense. They want to win by playing ball control, run the ball, and getting the ball. Nico Collins, I would
123:35be surprised if there's anyone else in this passing game beyond Nico that we can consistently rely on. And it seemed like that's more so what we saw at least
123:42for week one.
123:44>> Yeah. I mean, if you're going to say any other name that like was at least out there enough, it was Dalton Scholes. He
123:48had a 79% route share. Uh he had a 22% target share on the day, so he was second behind Nico Collins who was at
123:5527%. So yeah, I think this just looks great for Nico Collins. Uh Xavier Hutchinson was actually second on the team in routes per drop back. Kan Booty
124:03third at 64%. Jaylen Null had a nice grab. Uh looked pretty explosive after the catch. He is their slot wide receiver, but he was only out there 36%
124:12of the time. So, yeah, right now in the receiver rooms, Nico Collins, uh, looking like a wide receiver one, which is, you know, what you guys already
124:18thought when you drafted him.
124:20>> Dwayne, I think you have something you want to get off your chest before we get to late afternoon games.
124:25>> I do have something that I want to get off my chest. This is going to like freak people out, Ian, because they're
124:29used to see hearing you do this sort of thing, but I have to let you guys know.
124:33Imagine that your Wi-Fi can also protect your home at the same time. Well, you don't have to imagine any longer with
124:39Exfinity Shield. Exfinity Shield is a force field, Ian, like in Star Wars for your home with a built-in Wi-Fi where built with built-in Wi-Fi features that
124:48gives you peace of mind for your home, your family, as well as your life online. Got to protect that, guys. With
124:54Wi-Fi motion detection, you can detect movement with your Exfinity gateway.
124:58With Xfinity Cyber Secure, protect your devices from threats and risky sites the moment you connect to them. So, switch to Xfinity today for reliable Xfinity
125:06Wi-Fi, motion detection, and cyber secure, all included. Imagine a whole new era for Wi-Fi where your connection can help you rest easy. Xfinity, imagine
125:16that. Restrictions apply. Select plans only. Exfinity internet and compatible equipment is required.
125:23The Vikings beat down the Packers. 60-minute master class. 3922 was never even close. No, I'm just kidding. They were down 2210 at
125:33one point, guys. It looked bad. I'm sure the people in Minnesota, the fed citizens of Minneapolis were worried, but hey, ended up winning by 17. Covered
125:41as one and a half point faves over cashier 46 and a half was not a good day for Kyler Murray. Threw an interception
125:47on his first pass with the team and then got brutally knocked out. Kind of it was unnecessary roughness. He was sliding
125:53right.
125:54>> It's Yeah, bad hit. Bad hit. It looked like he was grabbing his knee for a second. I believe it was just a
125:58concussion. Get better, Kyler. Hate seeing that, man. Ah, Carson Wentz came in afterwards because he is the backup quarterback in Minnesota, not JJ
126:07McCarthy, and did a pretty good showing for himself, man. There were some mistakes. We had, you know, a pretty ill-advised endzone interception, called
126:13back on a defensive hold or what have you. But end of the day, three touchdowns, buck 33 on only 19 pass
126:19attempts. The two-point conversion pass, I cannot wait to get eyes on the all 22 because I'm pretty sure he threaded that
126:25thing between about three different defenders. So look, some of the numbers last year I think were a little bit inflated. They were down three
126:32touchdowns at the end. He just kind of racked up some numbers there. But you know, Dwayne, they all count the same in
126:37fantasy land. And I also Carson Wentz has some natural ability. He was number two overall pick for a reason. I don't
126:44know if you remember pre-nee injury Carson Wentz being the freaking MVP front runner for that Eagles team that wound up winning the Super Bowl with big
126:50dick Nick Fos out there. So the 44 yard touchdown or whatever it was to Justin Jefferson, that was a great throw in the
126:56back of the end zone. If Kyler is going to be missing time, who's to say Carson Wentz can't at least help our guy Justin Jefferson do what he
127:05did today, and that's be a rock solid upside wide receiver won a fantasy win.
127:09>> Yeah, a hopefully it is just the concussion with Kyler. It did seem like that's what it was. He did walk off the
127:14field and so we'll see guys a lot of times the concussions now that does take two weeks. So, we pro I would guess
127:20right now that we're not going to see Kyler Murray next week. And so, you're just stuck with a minus0.38 fantasy points from the pick. [laughter]
127:28>> Hey, real quick, Dwayne, real speaking of those fantasy points. Yahoo. I love you guys. I have several leagues on your
127:33platform. When we get someone brutally knocked out, I think we can zero out the projection. All right. I don't I didn't
127:38need to see Kyler Murray so projected for eight points in the second half of that game. Just saying.
127:42>> Yeah. Yeah. I was sitting there, you know, I'm playing JJ in the league that you and I are in. And uh, you know, we
127:47we both were scoring a lot of points and when Kyler went down, he had Tyler Shuck. I have Josh Allen as a super flex
127:53guys. So, Kyler Murray was my uh flex quarterback in that league, but probably going to lose uh to Mr. JJ. We we'll
128:00we'll see what happens uh in the game tonight and tomorrow night. I have a few players left, but I'm probably out of
128:05it. But yeah, Carson Wentz, I mean, he threw the three touchdowns, Ian. And back to like the way we think about the
128:10Vikings offense, and we've talked about this multiple times, but even though there's a lot of small samples in there, essentially Kevin Oonnell has been
128:17successful with every quarterback that he's ever had in Minnesota other than JJ McCarthy. You could you could argue that >> you could Yeah. Well, yes. Max Max
128:25Bromer and you could argue Josh Dobs, like it wasn't great, but Carson Wentz did have a good stretch with him. I I do
128:31agree with you. It's a little bit fluky last year, but I think he's he can at least be functional. I mean, we got what
128:3731.8 fantasy points today out of Justin Jefferson. 31.2 in a PPR, 27.2 and a half PPR. Did not leave the field. 100%
128:47route participation for JJ. And he led this team by a mile, 39% target share.
128:52He had nine on the day. He had two red zone targets, one endzone target. So, yeah, Justin Jefferson doing Justin Jefferson things. And I think he's
128:59basically immune to anything other than JJ McCarthy.
129:03>> I Oh, man.
129:05I just hope Kyler can get better. I will I don't want to microjudge the three or four drop backs when it didn't look
129:12good.
129:13>> Yeah. I mean, it's too small like to honestly judge anything and like he completed a couple of passes after that
129:17and then, you know, he took off on the scramble, got hit. The first play was terrible. It's like he just ran back and
129:22just chunked it up, you know. So, that that's that's not ideal, but again, it's a great offense with a with a great
129:29coordinator, great weapons. Like I I still think Kyler's going to be fine when he gets back. Is he going to be,
129:35you know, somebody that we look at, oh man, he's a top six NFL quarterback? No, we just we're just playing fantasy
129:40football, guys. And I think there's a there's a very good chance we still look at Kyler Murray as being someone that
129:44could get into that mid-range QB1 uh territory.
129:48>> And next week, they got the Chicago Bears, who again, we just saw enable the most fantasy friendly environment of the
129:53day. Got me feeling good about good about Justin Jefferson in that one. I'm feeling good about Carson Wentz in the Superflex Streets, Dwayne. At least for
130:00those that had Kyler Murray or Sam Darnold. I mean, I'm I'm not saying we're going to be ranking once inside our top 12 or anything next week, but
130:07you know, he could be like top 20 or at least pushing it given this matchup.
130:11>> Yeah. I mean, in in a in a superflex league, obviously, anytime you have a quarterback situation like this where you get somebody that could start for a
130:17couple of games, it's it becomes like the running back position, you know, where it's like, "Oh, man, the guy went down. They're going to get volume."
130:23They're going to get all the snaps.
130:25They're gonna And even even if if it's a bad quarterback, right, you're getting 12 to 15 fantasy points. And a lot of
130:31times that's going to be better than the other options that you have on your bench.
130:34>> Also found TJ Hawinson for a touchdown, but not going to be putting too much crazy stock behind that. We saw Brettton
130:40Strange catch a touchdown, too. These things happen for tight ends occasionally. Zero catches for Jordan Addison. Zero catches for Jawan Jennings. Did we have some wonky usage
130:49going on there, Dwayne, or just a bad day at the office?
130:52>> Just a bad day at the office. 90 93% route participation for Addison. So, he's clearly the wide receiver, too, in
130:57the offense. He's locked in. Uh we we've just kind of seen these things play out, you know, with Addison, you know, a
131:02little bit here more recently, especially if we have any passing game wos. When Addison was really going crazy, it wasn't that he ever had a
131:09great target share, Ian. It was like it was good for playing opposite of Justin Jefferson, but we would get the big
131:14plays. The offense was good enough like the where we would get the touchdowns and that that's what would really carry him. So, I think with Jordan Addison,
131:21the best call right now is you're keeping him in on your teams, but you just don't want him anywhere near your
131:26starting lineup right now. Uh, I would rather see another game from Carson Wentz or we get Kyler Murray and see a
131:31game back from him. So, if you can avoid it, you just don't want Jordan Addison in your lineup. But don't drop him.
131:37>> Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones scored fourth quarter touchdowns. Seemed like this was pretty close to the 50/50 sort of split we saw last year though.
131:44>> Yeah, 54% of the rushing attempts to Mason, 43% to Aaron Jones. Uh, the snaps slight lead for Mason at 48% versus 43%
131:53for Aaron Jones. Uh, it was not like that earlier in the game though, Ian.
131:57Whenever they were trailing, it was actually Aaron Jones leading for much of the game. So, I think this is just going
132:02to come down to the game script. I think to your point, it's a 1A 1B. Whoever ends up in the slight lead for the week
132:07is probably going to be the one. If it's in a P, if it's in a shootout game, um, it's probably going to be Aaron Jones.
132:13>> Yeah.
132:13>> If you're in a game where you, you know, eventually take back over the lead, then it's going to be Jordan Mason. And, uh,
132:18Jordan Mason, that that's how he ended up slightly ahead of Aaron Jones. So you got 11.9 fantasy points from Jordan Mason today. You got 10 from Aaron
132:26Jones. So again, these are guys that are going to be in running back three territory, but both do carry contingent upside. We did not have an active Dean
132:35Claybornne today. He was a healthy scratch. Meanwhile, on the Packers side of things, looked like they were about ready to run away with this one.
132:41Mentioned them again building that 22 to 10 lead in large part because Jordan Love was out there slinging the rock around mostly to his wide receiver one
132:49Christian Watson. guys. Five catches, 131 yards, and two scores in the first half alone. Only had one catch in the second half, but I think all you loyal
132:57fantasy managers will be just fine with that performance. So, 387 and two scores for Love on the day. Took four sacks out
133:04there. The offensive line couldn't exactly hold up great. Didn't see a ton of running room, but knew it was going to be a tough matchup against Brian
133:10Flores and company. And despite that, Dwayne Christian Watson going the hell off. This is a situation, man, where I had him. I don't know, wide receiver 23,
133:1824 because it was just this I I have a lot of respect for Brian Flores and the Vikings defense. I do not have a lot of
133:24respect for the Jets defense going next week. Christian Watson, top 12, top five. Why not?
133:31>> Yeah. I mean, 387 passing yards today from Jordan Love uh against the Vikings, 9.2 yards per attempt. Like, that's super bullish really for everyone
133:40involved. Um, I don't know how caught up this data is, but 83% route participation rate for Watson, 87% for Golden, which is the way we had it
133:49projected, guys. We were hearing in camp, Matthew Golden is the X, going to probably stay on the field the most.
133:53Then it's going to be Watson, then it's going to be Jaden Reed, who was at a 65% route share. Poor Jaden Reed. He just
133:59can't escape that role, Ian. And >> because of John Smith, this dude keeps doing this to us, man.
134:04>> Yep. It is due to Jonnu Smith who was out there 39% of pass plays. [laughter] So that's exactly if you want to hold
134:11someone accountable, you can go look at John Smith. You don't have to look at yourself in the mirror, Ian. You can
134:15tell yourself you were right that this is John Smith's fault.
134:18>> Arthur Smith and John Smith just still finding ways to ruin my weekend.
134:22Unbelievable. [laughter] >> Uh so yeah, Watson, like you said, 32.7 fantasy points. Uh 20% target share though. He cooled off in the second
134:30half. Matthew Golden led the team with a 30% target share. He scored 15.5 fantasy points in this game. So, I think the big
134:37takeaway here and Watson, what we've talked about with him, Ian, is like the beauty of Watson is that he really can
134:43beat like he can take it to the house from anywhere. And we saw that today uh a deep dig route cutting across the
134:50field. Jordan Mason, dude, that defender was cutting. I thought it was going to be picked and that defender flashed.
134:55Christian Watson kept his focus and of course then the defender is not in the play. And if you give Christian Watson
135:00an inch, you might as well give him an absolute mile, Ian. So, he was actually I don't have the route. uh depth stuff
135:06for him yet or the motion, but he's the guy in the preseason they were using motion uh you know getting him tight
135:12alignments. I did see that much on the screen. I was seeing him line in tight, you know, they were stacking him, doing
135:16all these different things with him. So, I think this is bullish for Matthew Golden and Christian Watson. And honestly, if Jaden Reed is only going to
135:22be on the field, even in a game like this where they really needed him for 65% of the plays, uh whenever they're
135:28throwing the ball, well, that's just less for these two guys to deal with.
135:31So, I think Christian Watson mid-range wide receiver 2 with wide receiver one upside. I think Matthew Golden moves into the wide receiver three
135:40conversation after this uh performance Ian.
135:43>> Um Jaden Reed unfortunately kind of just going to be stuck in wide receiver 4 purgatory. Uh Tucker Craft did have a
135:49snap count apparently in this game. 66% of the snaps but only a 44% route participation rate. Barely above Jonnu Smith. Still gave you nine and a half
135:58fantasy points which is like 20% targets per route run. So Craft's going to be fine, guys. And I'm guessing this will
136:04just be a ramp up. We'll see his routes get higher and higher and higher every single week. Um but uh yeah, it could be
136:09a little bit tricky for the next couple of games.
136:12>> The usage was honestly, I thought, encouraging for Craft because he got three balls, I think all of them, at least two of them. One was down the
136:19seam, one was on like a flag route. He was being used downfield. I think this dude's average target depth last year
136:24was like 4.8 >> 11.
136:26>> Yeah.
136:27And that's what worried me about in the early going because we didn't do anything with his catches. He didn't have to though when you're actually
136:33getting the use downfield. My concern for Craft for KD was if they're working their way back. They're at 85%. They're on a little bit of a snap count and then
136:41they're just having to make the most out of these screens, which they do because they're freaking badasses. I get that.
136:47But they're working through stuff right now. If we're getting downfield stuff for Craft as well, good god, there's a ceiling.
136:53>> And this is something that I just talked about a I mean, with a player this good, I just think it's tough whenever we try
136:57to really assume that their role will stay static, especially when you move on from a couple of guys like Wix, uh, as
137:03well as Romeo Dobs. Um, so with Craft 3.25 yards per route run today, that was second on the team. Watson was 3.87 and
137:11Matthew Golden was 2.38. So, if you have those guys, great. You do not want Jaden Reed in your lineup right now, but I
137:17think all three of those guys can be in.
137:19Tucker Craft. I'll probably move down Ian a little bit like probably lowend tight end one for this next week. In the
137:25rest of the season ranks, I'm not moving him. I'm gonna keep him right there in the top five tight ends. I still feel
137:29good about that. Just have to be a little bit cautious with him over these next couple of games.
137:34>> I think I'd still want to start him over like Fannon and Pitts. The way things stand right now, though.
137:38>> Yes. Yeah, I I'll still have him ahead of those guys.
137:41>> Running back rotation, Marshon Lloyd 13 carries. Chris Brooks had seven. Neither of them managed to catch a pass. Pretty disgusting. usage overall.
137:50>> Yeah, 62% of the carries to Lloyd, so I think that's good. And honestly, they gave it to Chris Brooks first and then
137:56they flipped over to giving it to Lloyd.
137:57It's not like either one of them did anything. Lloyd averaged 2.8 yards per carry. Uh Brooks was actually better at 4.1. If you look at the snaps, slight
138:04lead to Chris Brooks, 55% versus 45% for Marshon Lloyd. So, really does look a little bit more like a 1A 1B kind of
138:11situation here, Ian. And it was the passing down work that swung things in Brooks's favor as far as the snaps go.
138:18So, he had 75% of the two-minute offense, only 25% for Marshon Lloyd.
138:23These numbers are probably not right.
138:2520% route participation for each guy.
138:28But, but maybe the receiver stuff looked right. And with these late games, guys, just so you know, check the utilization report tomorrow. Um, sometimes it takes
138:36this data, you know, still another hour to get completely caught up. So, the some of these route participation rates might be a little bit different uh when
138:43you look at them in the morning. though I saw Lloyd pop off a decent run or two later because you're right nothing was
138:48going on early but yeah man Chris Brooks obviously not making this the true workhorse show for Marshon Lloyd getting the Jets next week is going to be a nice
138:56boost I think he'll find a way to be in the top 30 or something like that but not someone who needs to be started and
139:01again given the fact that it does seem possible that Josh Jacobs is back sooner rather than later at least more of the
139:07sixgame variety as opposed to again never playing football again not looking too great for Lloyd as things stand right Now moving on, we had the Raiders
139:15take down the Dolphins 27 to13. Raiders won and covered as three-point faves under Cashier at 40 and a half. Look, Kurt Cousins managed to throw three
139:23touchdowns. Two of them went to Ashton Genty. Also threw two interceptions.
139:28Looked like old man Kirk Cousins out there, which for today was enough. But man, Dwayne, Trey Tucker, Jaylen Naylor, shout out Jack Bash for doing their
139:35thing. But we don't want to start people from this passing game if we can all help it. It's a two-person offense right
139:41now for as long as Brock Bowers is sidelined. Ashen Genty and Michael Mayer. And my god, did Ashen Genty look good today. Not saying that Mike
139:49Washington isn't a good prospect in his own right, but it sure seems like that the Raiders saw what he did in the
139:53preseason and said, "Thank you, Mike. We appreciate you." This is still Ashton's backfield.
139:58>> Yeah. 32.7 fantasy points for Ashton Genty today. Uh he had 23 rushing attempts, finishes with 102 yards, 4.4
140:06yards per carry. uh played 70% uh or 73% of the snaps, 70% of the rushing attempts in this game. So Mike
140:14Washington is the very clear running back too, but was not getting a larger role which we thought we might at least
140:21see in this first week Ian just because Ashen Genty was coming off of you know the prayer circle ankle injury which
140:26apparently came you know became so low that it never existed at all. It was a figment of our imagination. See guys the
140:32power of prayer does work. Then if we look at the route participation rate stuff, 65% for Genty. So essentially just picking up right off where he left
140:41last year as far as his role goes. Even though we're now with Clint Kubak, got a new offensive system. It does appear
140:47clear that they want to feed Genty and he was just a lot more uh efficient, you know, coming coming through with the
140:53touchdowns today. And like you said, the work that he did in the receiving game was really a huge part of what we got
140:59from Ashton Genty. his target share today was 21% with a 30% targets per route run.
141:07>> And that's the big thing here because like next week they play the Chargers, which we'll get to them in a minute. Who
141:11knows if we're even going to see the Raiders having to deal with trailing game script against those frauds out here. But look, if it is a situation
141:18where like, okay, I don't think the Raiders going to be able to play with that many leads like they had today. But
141:22that's okay for Gent's fantasy value if he's racking up the receptions, which as long as Bowowers remains sideline seems to be on the table. So great stuff for
141:30Genty. Locked in RB1. You should be feeling pretty good about this performance. What we see from Michael Mayer, Dwayne caught six of seven
141:36targets for 32 yards. Fulltime role, I hope.
141:39>> Yeah, 81% route share. Led the team with a 24% target share. He's the best receiver on the team without Brock
141:46Powers. We He's a very was a very good prospect, guys. Number seven all time in the rookie supermodel. Uh actually had
141:52one of the highest production ratings.
141:53Obviously Harold Than was at the top of that. Michael Mayer [snorts] was a very good prospect. Just been a little unlucky, man. you know, dealt with some
141:59injuries, dealt with some off the- field, not not getting in trouble stuff, but just like, you know, personal things. And you have Brock Bower's on
142:05the team. And so, I I think it's kind of gotten the raw end. Obviously, he didn't get the raw end of the deal because he
142:10just got paid. Uh, which I was really hoping, Ian, that he would be going to a new team, uh, not the team that is still
142:16with Brock Bowers, but for right now in these games where we don't have Brock Bowers, which I'm guessing will be another week. We'll see what happens
142:23with that. Uh, 9.2 fantasy points in a PPR today. So, I think he is a high-end tight end, too.
142:30>> I lied. I do care a little bit about these wide receivers, as much as I pretend to not to. Did Jack B actually
142:35play a lot because we only have Michael Mayer there and they didn't feel the need to go as multi-tight heavy? No.
142:41>> 42% routes. Um, 31% targets per route, Ron. Um, but again, small sample. Bes didn't really do this last year. Was not
142:48the greatest prospect. So, I don't think there's anything to do unless you're in Ian's league with 32 teams where a guy
142:53like Jack Bash might be available. It was Trey Tucker leading the way with 87% of the routes, but he only had a 14%
143:00target share. Jaylen Naylor Naylor was rotating with Bash 61% route share. So, he is a guy that doesn't need to be on
143:07fantasy rosters. You can move on from Naylor. I'm not worried about picking up BH. If you did draft Trey Tucker, you
143:13know, I told you not to. But, you know, he played he played. He is the guy. Now, I don't again I don't have the motion
143:20and all that kind of stuff yet because as it populated for this game, but he was the guy in preseason they were
143:24moving around and doing some stuff where you can get some easy looks and he wasn't just a deep target in the
143:28preseason. So, not saying Trey Trey Tucker can't still do something for you guys in deeper leagues, but man, I'd much I don't want to be counting on any
143:35of these guys outside of Michael Mayer.
143:37>> Me either, but I do appreciate Besid Antonio Brown's old call god celebration when he scored, but that's all I got on
143:44the Raiders for the Dolphins. Yeah.
143:46Yikes. 13 points. This was the game, Dwayne. This was the game where we said, Ashton, you know, I'm sorry, Devon Han,
143:53top 10 running back, don't worry about all that stuff we worried about for the last six months. Malik Willis, you know,
143:59we'll find a way to start you. And Malik kind of worked out. He ran him for a touchdown. Garbage time guy with 220
144:05passing yards.
144:06So much for 40 touches for Devon AM, man. 11 carries, four receptions. He had another little downfield wheel that got nullified by a penalty late. Okay, so
144:17give him five, but not ideal. We kind of saw the nightmares that we had for Devon Achan all happen here. It was a
144:24low-scoring offense. We saw Malik Willis scrambling more than he was checking it down. And as much as we will see the
144:31occasional designed target for Achan, you you just have a lot of ground to cover if you're not scoring touchdowns and you're not getting regular
144:38checkdowns. It was tough, man. They're facing the 49ers next week and I'm just saying that's tough.
144:45>> Yeah. So Han's underlying stuff is still really good across the board. The the what happened in this game and I don't I
144:51haven't been able to dig in the details, but the Dolphins ran 50 plays, guys.
144:57That's not good. Like we want to be 62 65, you know? I mean, there's there that that's the we're we're about 12 plays
145:04shy of that, you know? So 50 plays is going to automatically funnel things down. I don't know how much of that came
145:11down to turnovers and stuff. Does look like Malik Neighbors did throw one pick.
145:16>> I don't have all the >> move the ball consistently.
145:18>> Yeah. So, well, what I'll say on the on the on the utilization stuff, 88% of the snaps went to Achan. So, he's out there.
145:2585% of the rushing attempts went to Achan, but when you only run 50 plays and you get into a trailing script,
145:31that's a problem. So, that turned into 11 carries. But, it wasn't like he wasn't out there on pass plays, 81% route participation rate. And even
145:38though he is playing with a scrambling quarterback in Malik Neighbors, he had a 19% target share. So right in the range
145:43with where we've typically seen Hchan.
145:45So this is not enough plays. And what you just mentioned, how crappy is this team going to be? Like [laughter] that's
145:53what you're worried about. All the underlying stuff was fine for HN. Uh it's the things we've seen from him. So I think he's probably going to being
145:59fine. But this is but this was the other part of why we moved him down in the ranks again and had him more as a
146:04mid-range round two pick than a mid-range round one pick where he was going on some sites is there was some extreme fragility with the offense and
146:13we saw that show up in two ways today.
146:15Not enough plays and not scoring enough points. But HN has the role. So you guys are easily starting him but yeah
146:22>> I'm not trading for him. If you got him you're going to start him. Shout out Jaylen Wright 79 yard kick return.
146:27That's all I got there. Unfortunately, the sleeper who I've decided to base my entire reputation around because why not? Chris Bell only caught one of two
146:35targets, 25 yards, got mogged by Caleb Douglas, Dwayne, who got drafted ahead of him. Who could have seen this coming?
146:41Possibly. Yeah, look, I mean, Caleb Douglas 87% route share, 14.4 fantasy points in this game. He had a 26% target share, second on the team behind uh
146:51Malik Washington. But, I mean, I think this is kind of what we expected from Chris Bell. He played 54% of the pass
146:58plays in this game. Okay. Uh I mean for a guy coming off an ACL, he was the wide receiver three for them. Kevin Coleman
147:04Jr., another rookie on their team was at 38%. So I think the concern becomes like if Caleb Douglas is playing well and
147:11they did spend a higher draft pick, like he could continue to keep doing this. So it is positive for Douglas. But Malik
147:17Washington guys like 100% route participation rate today, a 30% target share and he scored six fantasy points.
147:23like this is just an underneath, you know, check it down. Like you already have that. That's called Devon Achan.
147:29You you you really want something else on your team to be complimentary. If Caleb Douglas is good, you still want someone else opposite of him. So I would
147:36say Chris Bell in deep leagues is still definitely a hold. Like he's better than all the other receivers that you know we
147:42were kind of talking about as depth options. Like he was at least on the field. But yes, as of right now, I think
147:47we should look at it as Caleb Douglas is the guy that, you know, coming out of this game already has a full-time role
147:53and they were chunking him the ball.
147:55>> Now, let's not get too carried away. I don't plan on ragging Caleb Douglas in my top 50 next week, but again, deeper
148:01leagues, sure.
148:02>> Yeah. Yep. Same page.
148:04>> Greg Dolich fulltime role. No, >> Greg Dolich 78% route share. Uh trailing scripts I think are going to really help
148:10him. Um he's he's not playing as much when they get their fullback and go with their heavy stuff. Uh, but we DJ Herman
148:16is the fullback there. He only played 19 or he had 30% of the snaps today. So, I have to dig into that one further. I
148:23could be wrong on that. Indulge. He might have played in the uh 21 stuff, but 3.8 fantasy points. That's that's tough.
148:29>> Not great. Not great to win. The Cardinals took down the Chargers and maybe your Survivor team 26 to 14 winning outright as nine and a half
148:37point dogs under cashier of 47 and a half. Jacquia, man. Another 277 yards.
148:42Another touchdown. found his guy Trey McBride beating Dur James one-on-one in the red zone. These two just keeping on keeping on and at least for a week we
148:51continue to get another wide receiver doing him well. Not Michael Wilson, not Marvin Harrison Jr. Kendrick Bourne.
148:57Dwayne caught all eight of his targets with 75 yards. Marv only have one catch.
149:01It was a nice one for 33. Michael Wilson five for 56. So it's Trey McBride. It's everyone else. I did not think we'd be
149:09sitting here though saying that Michael Wilson and Marv have combined for 10 targets while Kendrick got eight. It's probably just one week. But I don't I'm
149:19not expecting there to be a lot of consistency beyond McBride and we can't have three parties there.
149:24>> Let's start with a positive like Jacobe Brassette 277 yards like you were talking about. I mean Jacobe Brassette like this is a trend back to last year
149:31and now we're in a new offense and this is a good defense. Maybe it isn't good.
149:35Maybe it was all Mike M. Maybe it was all Jesse Mentor and this was smoking mirrors with the Chargers defense. Uh I
149:40know I took the Chargers defense in fantasy Ian looking I was like oh the first two matchups you know looked really good on paper and then you know
149:47the NFL happens. So Jacobe Brassette looking good like that's a positive. If we want to look at like the playing time
149:53it was Michael Wilson today 92% route participation rate 19% target share. You did mention Kendrick Bourne coming in with a 22% target share which was second
150:02behind Trey McBride. And guys, what were we doing overthinking Trey McBride? I was not overthinking Trey McBride, but some people were. 24 and a half fantasy
150:10points today. Ian 35% Love, but Well, I get it, but we never said to take Coulson Lovelin over Trey McBride. I
150:18>> But we liked I don't know. I liked Lovelin where he went relative to McBride more. That was >> Well, that's fine. But but the where
150:25McBride was sliding in drafts was silly.
150:27Like it was just getting to where he was sliding into mid third, late third. Like he was just a smash pick in those
150:31ranges. I get if you didn't want to take McBride at the end of round two, fine. I get it. But there were people like
150:37pushing for a let's just take Coulson Lovelin, whatever. 87% routes for McBride. He's playing uh yeah, all the worries about, well, man, they played
150:45700 plays last year. Who cares? He's a great tight end that's going to be on the field all the time. Uh and a scheme
150:50that had some positive things, you know, potentially working out for them, which did work out in this game. Marvin Harrison was second in the team as far
150:57as routes. Ian 87% behind Michael Wilson, but only a 9% target share. Man, I was watching some of this game because
151:05it was rotating to through more often because we were in the late slate and we get to see more of these players.
151:10>> Get the quad box on, bro.
151:12>> Yeah, I Well, yeah. Well, whatever.
151:14Yeah, I didn't have the quad box on. It It shows up enough. I'm writing and everything, but Marv 24.7 uh average
151:21depth of the target. I don't have the route depth stuff yet, but my big concern with Marv is like because Michael Wilson is the guy they move.
151:27Michael Wilson's the guy they give the easy underneath targets to. You already have Trey McBride. Marvin Harrison Jr.
151:33It looks like he's stuck on the outside.
151:35Only played 11% from the slot and he's just the vertical threat. And just the way defenses play it, dude. It's it's just it's a tough
151:44role to play in today's league. Marv actually might be good and we don't know it. like he's it's just this is not an
151:50ideal role though for him even if you think he's a good player 9% target share today 8% sorry I was one high
151:57>> and for the record guys this big idiot talking right now that did prefer Coulson love at cost over Trey McBride
152:03that's not looking too hot after 60 minutes of >> I think quantifying with at cost is not that's different like you're saying you
152:09didn't want to take Coulson love you didn't want to take Trey McBride at the end of round two when you could get
152:13Lovelin at the end of round four those are that that's a fair thing but there was also sentiment meant that it was
152:19just like Trey McBride was going to go into a downward spiral, you know, this year, which just isn't happening. 24.5 fantasy points for Trey McBride today.
152:29Trey McBride, absolute beast. We're going to find out just how real this offense is next week against the Seattle Seahawks if they really can't keep this
152:36going on for another game with that.
152:38Well, by golly, maybe, just maybe, the Arizona Cardinals are going to be a sick offense this year. Michael Flor and Hackett, why would we ever doubt these
152:45guys? Great job by Jacobe. Great job by Trey McBride. Kind of great job by Jeremiah Love Dwayne. Score a touchdown.
152:52That's good. He was coming off the ankle and it was to the point where I believe he was listed questionable. We we we
152:57were confident he was going to play and everything like that, but clearly not quite at 100%.
153:03But 19-3 touches for Alier over Love.
153:06I'm sure the game script, the inexplicable positive game script has something to do with that, but man, this could be a little more 50/50 than we
153:14thought.
153:15>> Yeah. I mean, look, number one, Jeremiah Love is a rookie, and we've seen veterans like Tyler Algier get that difference before, and he was coming off
153:22of an injury. So, I mean, I had this projected as a really close back field.
153:27I think Jeremiah Love is going to take over the backfield. I don't know how long it's going to take for that to
153:31happen, but my gut is like it's going to inch closer next week and then it's going to inch closer and then he's going
153:37to slingshot past him. like, >> okay, >> I I just I can't say that for sure, but when you take a running back as high as
153:43they did, and he's clearly like an electric player. Like, we again, he's still playing injured right now. So, Jeremiah Love is going to be on the
153:52field. You got honestly, you did get a little lucky that he gave you 13 fantasy points today, but part of that comes
153:57back to being a good player. Um, but yeah, it was Alier 57% of the snaps versus 44% for Love. So, it's it's not
154:04like it's this huge delta. They were pretty close, but yes, more of the rushing attempts went to Alier, 57% versus 37% for Love, but it was and they
154:14were they're actually close in dropbacks as well. 46% route share for Alier, 39% for Jeremiah Love. But I think, you know, if you have Love, like I had him
154:23as a borderline running back, too. Told people like, hey, like if you've got these other options, like you can put, you know, Jeremiah Love on your bench. I
154:30think that will get harder and harder for us to do in the coming weeks. Again, kudos to Cardinals for the big dub.
154:37We'll see what happens next week in that NFC West showdown. Meanwhile, Los Angeles Chargers. Let's just figure out everything I've been brutally wrong
154:44about so far, everyone, and group it all into one game because as much as I didn't believe in Trey McBride, I
154:49believed in every freaking piece of this Chargers offense. And for 60 not so glorious minutes, it did not go that way. The first drive looked pretty
154:57freaking great, Dwayne. We had Lad McConi catch three straight passes for like 60 yards. Marin Hampton looking like a freaking beast out there trucking
155:04dudes in the end zone. Then he lost a fumble and then pretty much nothing good overly happened the rest of the game.
155:10Trey Harris got him on, you know, the 50 freaking yards on a defensive pass interference penalty. We got a short touchdown for Lab Manki. But truly, man,
155:18like Omar Hampton looks like he's twice the size of some of these dudes and you look up and he's only got 12 touches at
155:23the end the game. Herbert was out there end up taking three sacks. Looked like he was pressing. He threw a horrible
155:29pick late, man. It was just like tossed up in double coverage to freaking 5 foot3 Brennan Thompson, I think it was.
155:35So, not good, man. David Njoku was probably the highlight of this team for Lawrence Porters of the game, particularly when considering Glad Mccon
155:42unfortunately got a chest injury that's going to take him out for so long. Yeah, not great.
155:48>> Yeah, I mean I I I'm not just I'm just not going to worry about this. It wasn't It wasn't a great week one, but like
155:54this sort of thing happens. You know, you're installing a new offense. It doesn't always like just immediately click. Was it a surprise? Yes.
156:00Especially with the matchup that they had against the Cardinals, but I still think that Justin Herbert's going to be fine. I think Omar and Hampton like
156:06there's still the positive to me is that he play he had 75% of the carries, 57% of the snaps. So, I mean, he's getting
156:14most of the early down work, which is really the that's the role we forecasted him for. Katon Mitchell's out there the
156:18second most, 31%. he was getting out there to handle some of those pass some of the passing workload. But Kamani Videll like was like hardly out there at
156:26all only eight%. So I think those are positives and I think the offensive line you know we had some massive injuries
156:32last year. Did it look great today? No.
156:34But I think it'll look better heading into the future.
156:37>> The Lad Maki was obviously going to be like the story line like he scored 19.2 fantasy points and he only played uh 51%
156:44of the pass plays today due to the injury. So >> we'll see. Have you heard any word on how bad the injury is, Ian? For for
156:50>> Harball wouldn't update it, which is the surprising thing ever.
156:54>> Yeah.
156:54>> Yeah. [laughter] Yeah. So, yeah. I mean, I I'm not that worried about it. Like, if there's something, you know, to get
157:00worried about like maybe it's Quentyn Johnson 77% routes, you know, even with Lad missing part of the game, um scored 3.7 fantasy points. Trey Harris, uh was
157:11the guy to clearly step in. He had a 77% route share as well. Well, he and Quinton Johnson, they both had 22%
157:16target shares on the game. So, it's not like they didn't have opportunities. The offense just really wasn't clicking today. So, I'm still going to have faith
157:23in Justin Herbert. I'm still going to have faith in Mike McDaniel. It just, you know, it sucks that it didn't happen
157:28in week one, especially to your point, we get so excited about all these changes >> that I don't think this game changes all
157:34the reasons we're excited about the Chargers. I think they all still exist.
157:39>> Do you hear Nick Wright's uh like hot take about the Chargers not being any good? No, I haven't.
157:45>> Nick's a Chiefs guy obviously, so you know, a little bit had to do with that, but he it was a great freaking rant. He
157:51stands out there and he goes, "My hot take is the Chargers are going to be who they're always going to be." And we hype
157:55him up in the preseason and then it doesn't work. But this year, we're going to hear the debut excuse that Justin
158:01Herbert just didn't have good enough weapons around him. And how could you expect Justin Herbert to make it work with the weapons around him? And I will
158:09say, Dwayne, when you especially remove Lab Makoni from that, I do worry about a passing game where David Dejoku in the
158:17year 2026 was leading the squad in receptions. That's where it goes wrong.
158:21>> Yeah, maybe. I would say the biggest takeaway of this whole segment is you should be picking up Trey Harris if he's
158:26available.
158:28>> Sounds good. I'm done talking about the Chargers. Last one. Eagles took down the Commanders 24-22. Washington did get frisky though and they covered as
158:36six-point dogs. Overdid Cash just by a hair 44 and a half. Washington had the game-tying potential two-point conversion. They dialed up this awesome
158:45play. Jaden Daniels ball was in his hands. He had a chance to, you know, survey the whole field. I'm kidding. It
158:49was a shovel pass to John Bates. So, that's really what they decided to go with with the game on the line. We'll
158:54talk about the Eagles first, though. I said it earlier, Dwayne. I thought Dean Doyle did a great job and everything we
158:59saw from that Ravens offense looked good. And maybe that's because the Ravens offense has better personnel than in Philly and Washington. But I don't
159:06know, man. Shawn Manion, David Blow, I just saw two offenses sputtering around for the heavy majority of the game that really only looked incohesion when
159:14Jaylen Herz and Jaden Daniels took off and did what they do best, and that is run the football for big chunks at a
159:19time. So, Saquon had a good run uh here and there. Devonte, you know, finally caught a good pass downfield and everything, but just other than
159:27Dantavian Wixs making life a living hell for Mike Sarin still out there for 60 minutes and Dallas got catching two nice
159:33touchdowns as well. That's all. I didn't see anything from this Eagles offense to make me believe like, oh, we're good now. Last year was, you know, don't
159:41worry about last year. We're back to 2024. Am I overreacting?
159:45>> I mean, probably a little. Uh, I think it's fair though. I mean, Jaylen Hurst threw for 203 yards, but he did throw
159:50three touchdowns. He didn't throw a pick. Um, so I mean obviously he came through in fantasy to your point by running the ball. Scored 24.7 points for
159:58you today. So Jaylen Herz locked in as a top three fantasy quarterback in my opinion right now. Uh Barkley, that's the toughest part, right? Only nine
160:06fantasy points a day for him, but he averaged five and a half yards per carry. So I mean he looked better. We
160:11just didn't get really any work in the passing game. Um he played 70% of the snaps. Um, but I think the sour taste
160:18like in everyone's mouth is it's like, man, we went through this last year with Barkley. But I I I again I would say 83
160:23rushing yards though, guys. Like he just he didn't score a touchdown today. Like that's the big thing, you know, for Barkley. He was still out there, you
160:30know, whenever you think about uh well, and again, I don't know. I don't know how accurate these numbers are right now, but right now it says a 33% route
160:36share for Barkley, but it's only 21% for Shipley and 3% for Bsby. So that's pretty low as a team unless they had
160:43them staying in to block. So, I'll have to look at that in the morning. Um, looking at the receivers, Ian, 97% route
160:48participation for Mr. Ride or die.
160:50Devonte Smith, only 8.3 fantasy points, but man, he led the team with the 27% target share. I think Devonte Smith's going to be fine. You already talked
160:57about Dantavian Wixs, 94% routes. We did think he would be the wide receiver, too, for this week. He scored 15.3 fantasy points on an 18% target share.
161:07Mai Lemon, 85% routes. So, I guess I I just still like all the players on this team. I can't say for sure that it's
161:14going to all come together, but I'll just have some similar thoughts, you know, to the Chargers. Like obviously Mike McDaniel is on another tier when we
161:20talk about coordinators. Shawn Manion has never proven anything. But it is still an offense that they're still putting their designs in. All of those
161:28sort of things. And so these are all players that I don't want to be moving on from. They're players I want to be
161:33keeping on my roster. Um, I think if we're in a couple weeks from now and it still looks like this, Ian, then I think
161:39that does start to become more problematic uh for the Eagles. As far as Jaylen Herz, 34% under center, which is much more often than what he's used to,
161:48but they didn't use play action much today. And so, they're going through some changes versus the offense that they've run before. So, that would be my
161:54one. Not not like a huge push back on you because like last two years haven't looked good for Herz, but at the same
162:01time, I think it's still early for this offense.
162:04It's a little bit concerning that Mai Lemon has negative yards in NFL games.
162:08Like so far, it's not ideal.
162:10>> I mean, it's concerning, but like if I'm picking one thing to focus on for a round one NFL draft pick, I'm going to
162:16look at the fact that he was out there 85% of the time and they're running 11 personnel as their base offense. So, I
162:22think >> that's not even letting him run real routes. They're throwing these screens out. Can see 10 yards away.
162:28>> Well, I understand. I mean, we'll see how it we'll see how it looks. And if that's what they're going to do with
162:31him, then that's going to be a problem.
162:33But that's really not even Mai Lemon's game. So I don't know why they're doing that.
162:37>> I am with you there.
162:38>> He's a he's a route running dude. Like he's can work the interior of the field.
162:42Uh so yeah, if there's a red flag on Lemon, it is the fact that you know it was um what was his average depth of
162:48target today? Minus 0.3. Yeah, that's not the way they should be using him.
162:52>> And that's again that was it was like to me the good things here is like Wix running some good routes and like
162:57winning one-on-one. Okay, that was cool.
162:59And Dallas got making some plays and Herz making some plays. The whole offense seemed out of joint. There were like pre- snap penalties or missed
163:05blocks here and there. Saquon getting freaking trampled by Sunny Styles and Pass Pro. It just seemed for an organization that spent the last six
163:13months telling us we can't get any worse than the Kevin Patulo experience last year. I would have liked to see a little
163:19bit more in your first 60 minutes of the season.
163:21>> Yeah, I feel you. I feel you. I think it's just I don't want to overreact to it. Yeah, >> that's my thing.
163:26>> Washington Commanders, Jaden DS again was not going well early, guys. as they had a field goal on their first drive
163:31and there was punt punt punt punt time and time again did get things going late. Maybe once the Eagles were kind of
163:36more in the prevent defense playing the clock move. We certainly see that going on but end the day have a chance to go
163:42ahead and tie it up. Just couldn't quite get there. But 164 and two touchdowns still looked as fast as ever. He had
163:48this one ridiculous run where he made two or three guys miss out there. Truly is an electric athlete with the football
163:53in his hands. Will be a little bit nicer when he doesn't have to go up against this again loaded Philadelphia Eagles
163:58defense. So, Washington plays the Cowboys next week. No spoilers. I am watching that after we are done here.
164:03Don't spoil for Dwayne either. All you guys in the chat, thank you. Lie to us or something like that. Don't spoil it,
164:09please. I'm not even looking at it, but I appreciate you guys. Anyway, um it was a tough matchup and the fact that
164:14Daniels wound up kind of getting there at least decently enough, man, fine there. I wouldn't take too much away from here other than we knew as a
164:22possibility before the year that Stefon Diggs could maybe make this close. But Dwayne, who's more productive this year, Stefon Diggs or Terry McLaren? Full PPR
164:32go.
164:32>> Uh, I think it'll still be Terry McLaren. I mean, Terry McLaren is playing a full-time role 92% of the routes. Diggs is at 66% which is
164:39basically the role we saw him play last year for the New England Patriots. and Diggs, it was tough to really like be
164:46excited about getting him into your lineup in a season where Drake May basically went bananas. So now we're on an offense I'm much more concerned about
164:53the Commanders offense than I am the Eagles. I'm willing to give them, you know, a benefit of the doubt of getting
164:58a new offense installed, but they don't have the same offensive line. Uh they don't have they don't have the same playmakers, you know, around them. While
165:06we like McLaren and Diggs, we don't consider them to be the same range as like a Dvonte Smith plus a Gddard plus,
165:12you know, potentially a round one pick a Mai Lemon getting things going. So, yeah, I this is not ideal. I think the
165:18best thing that came out of this game is probably Jakori Kroski Merritt. And even with that, Ian, we had a three-way split
165:23in this backfield. Krosky Merritt played 49% of the snaps, 40% to Rashad White, and Katron Allen played 10% of the snaps. Now, Jakori did dominate the the
165:33carries, 55% of the rushing attempts. He did score a touchdown. He gave you 63 yards. So, he came through with 12.6
165:38fantasy points in this one. So, if you're using Krosky Merritt, you felt good about it. So, I would say like he's
165:43a high-end running back threeish. He's a guy that like you can put in your running back two, you know, if you built
165:50your team around receivers and hopefully they're all still healthy, you know, after week one and you're you're feeling good about your running back one in that
165:57scenario. Um, and it does look like again like these routes, I'm not even going to quote them because I don't think these route participation rates
166:04are right for the running backs yet.
166:05Yeah. So, anyway, yeah, three-way split.
166:08Uh, I would say in Super Deep Leagues, Ian, Katron Allen is probably the name to watch from this room because it's
166:13it's, you know, we've talked about it and and ADP showed this. This was this was the latest. This and the Vikings
166:19were the two rooms where you could draft the players from them, the latest. And so, Bill, I think right now is fine, but
166:25Kron, it's interesting that he is already turning this into a three-way split.
166:29>> Another rookie who already got involved, Antonio Williams, 64 yards and a touchdown. the rookie slot receiver out of Clemson looking good in his own
166:36right. Do I think there's actively going to be enough volume here for Diggs McLaren and Antonio to get theirs?
166:42Probably not, but again, good to see he's at least already rising up the deaf chart to a decent extent. Stefon Diggs
166:48did score a touchdown, hit the AB goalpost celebration, got a penalty, but whatever. Ballers are going to ball. And then Chicka Conquo did suffer a
166:55hamstring injury, so keep an eye on that. Obviously, not ideal for our guy Chicky out there. Was already a little bit tough to trust once they brought in
167:02Digs in the first place. Mr. Dwayne, are you good?
167:05>> I'm good. All I was going to say is Antonio Williams, 29% routes, guys, uh, but a 36% targets per route run, and
167:12he's the reason that Stefon Diggs is at a 66% route share because those are the two guys playing the slot primarily. And
167:19so, he was rotating in for Diggs.
167:21>> Well, Dwayne, I said before that we could probably keep this to two hours, and I was only off by 47 minutes, man.
167:27So, not too uh shabby there. It's week one and you're going to have a bunch of goodness following up at week one over
167:34at fantasylife.com.
167:36>> Absolutely. Utilization report, guys. It will drop sometime tomorrow afternooning. You can't really hold me to it. You know, I'm an artist. You got
167:43to let me do my thing again. You know, it'll be done when it's done, but I will let you guys know as soon as it's ready.
167:47I'll be tweeting it out. How about you?
167:50>> I'll be bringing out the she report beyond the box score goodness. Middle afternoon at some point to Dwayne's point. Who knows when it's going to be
167:56out there. We all just live on a rock that floats around a ball of fire anyway. But rest assured when it is
168:01done, we will let you know about it. And we hope you guys will let us know about this show. Comment if you liked it.
168:07Please hit that like button, subscribe.
168:08It always does help as well. But anyway, Dwayne and I got to go watch maybe a fun Cowboys game, maybe a disaster. But
168:14either way, I think I speak for all of us when I say I'm just happy football is back on our television. So for Mr.
168:20Dwayne, I'm Ian, and for producer Mick, thank you guys for tuning in. Until next time, take care everybody.
