Ashton Jeanty

NegativeProjection0:00

Ian Hartitz ranks Ashton Jeanty as his RB10 for the upcoming week, noting he possesses elite real-life talent but faces a capped fantasy ceiling as a low-end RB1 due to a struggling Raiders offensive line. Despite leading all running backs in drops since Week 1 of last season—including three in his most recent game—Hartitz believes Jeanty is due for a big run, as he currently leads the league with 54 touches without a 20-plus yard gain.

0:00Ashton Jeanty dropped three passes out
0:02there last week. He actually leads all
0:04running backs in drops dating back to
0:05week [music] one of last season. Of
0:07course, though, the rushing stuff, as is
0:09usually the case here, and I don't mean
0:11that as a slight. It's just literally
0:12the case for Ashton Jeanty. It's not so
0:14much on him. Last week, we actually saw
0:16the Raiders and Texans as teams have
0:18negative RB rush yards before contact
0:21per carry. It was a rough one out there.
0:23So, Saints haven't been all that stiff
0:25against the run game, but man, I do
0:26worry about this Raiders offensive line
0:28just [music] continuing to not attack
0:30and make life easy for Jeanty. Only so
0:32much Kliff Kingsbury could do. I'd love
0:34to get Jeanty up in the top five
0:35conversation. I think he has the
0:37real-life [music] talent to do so. Just
0:38a situation where, again, given this
0:40offensive line, it's going to be tough
0:41to have him too [music] much higher than
0:43as a low-end RB1 in more matchups than
0:45not. He is due to rip off a big run,
0:47though. Turns out running backs, guys,
0:49with the most touches without a 20-plus
0:51yard gain this season, Jeanty leads the
0:52way with 54. Chase Brown is in second
0:55with 44, and then Devon Achane there at
0:5738. So, not been too great from three
0:59guys that Again, you expect a big play
1:01ability from. [music] I'm not slandering
1:03him over a two-week sample. You can if
1:05you want to. I guess I gave you the
1:06grenade here if you want to go ahead and
1:08throw it, but yeah, Ashton
1:09Jeanty, RB 10 for me.
