Omarion Hampton is catching way too much hate in July drafts. The Chargers
spent a first-round pick on him, he was clearly the lead back before the
fractured ankle, and he was averaging 4.8 yards per carry with his yards
after contact and tackles avoided taking a leap before the injury. Herbert
and McConkey get the injury excuses — Hampton and Quentin Johnston get left
out to dry. With Mike McDaniel, Jim Harbaugh, a healthy Justin Herbert, and
a healthy offensive line, this Chargers offense is the bet. If you think
they'll run the ball more, you should be drafting a LOT of Omarion Hampton.
