0:00stashes and kicker recommendations. I'm
0:03Theo Ginger, lead fantasy analyst at
0:05Rotoire. The name of the game in week
0:07seven is whatever it takes. Whatever it
0:10takes to win any edge we can find, we
0:13want to exploit. And Rotoire is here to
0:15help you find any edge you can in
0:17fantasy football to help you get wins.
0:19It's a weekly game. It's a weekly game.
0:22And we know that one of the edges that a
0:25lot of fantasy managers completely
0:26ignore is defense. And the the edge that
0:30they even ignore even more and which
0:32didn't even exist for a lot of them is
0:35kicker. So we want to uh we want to
0:37exploit these and we want to try to find
0:39the best possible players available to
0:42us on the waiverwire at these one-off
0:44positions that can give us a strong week
0:47in fantasy. Got a couple of teams on
0:50buys. Every week we're going to deal
0:52with it. Uh, and specifically for for
0:54defenses this week, you know, you're
0:56going to end up with you're going to end
0:58up with a couple of managers who've been
1:00riding the Jacksonville Jaguars. That's
1:02really the only defensive loss. Also,
1:05uh, Cam Little, a lot of you have been
1:07streaming Cam Little, looking for a
1:09replacement kicker this week. So, really
1:11the only one. Bills, Chargers,
1:14Commanders, nothing there in terms of
1:16uh, really uh, defense and then kicker.
1:19Uh, nothing really there as well. So,
1:21it's really Cam Little Jacksonville
1:23defense. We'll be able to sort of adjust
1:24with that one. Looking at the landscape
1:27for for this week, you've got an
1:28interesting one cuz one of our set it
1:30and forget it defenses is the Seattle
1:33Seahawks. They've been really good this
1:35year almost every single week, but
1:38they're kind of like on the on the start
1:40sit line this week against the Kansas
1:42City Chiefs. Chiefs offense very very
1:45trustworthy. But if you want to sit
1:48Seattle, I think it's perfectly
1:50reasonable process. You're going to use
1:52them almost every other game this
1:53season. But you've got a tricky matchup
1:56against Kenneth Walker in the Kenneth
1:57Walker revenge game. Mahomes playing at
1:59a very high level as well. So Seattle, I
2:02think you can find a better option for
2:04them this week. Now, looking at the
2:08defenses that are highly [snorts]
2:10rostered, Minnesota is just an absolute
2:13unit and they're in a smash spot against
2:16the Colts. Vikings are coming off of
2:18their by-week. They're nearly a 7point
2:22favorite against the Colts and the Colts
2:24team total is super low right now. Uh
2:27Indianapolis is implied team total of
2:31like 18 in a lot of sports books right
2:33now. So, Minnesota, ridiculous numbers.
2:36They've allowed fewer than 900 total
2:39yards to opposing offenses this year.
2:41They are a set it and forget it defense
2:43along with uh Seattle, but their matchup
2:46is actually excellent this week. You've
2:48got Houston, who's been up and down, up
2:51and down this year. A defense we thought
2:53would be maybe the top of the food
2:55chain, but they've got a smash spot this
2:57week. Houston are very big favorites
3:00against the New York Giants. I I'm
3:03cautiously optimistic about J.J.
3:05McCarthy for fantasy purposes, but he's
3:09going to be very turnoverprone. And if
3:10it's Jameus Winston, I think it should
3:12be McCarthy, but if it's Jameus Winston,
3:14he's also turnoverp prone. Houston
3:16Texans are getting to the quarterback
3:18this year. And they have a chance to tee
3:21off against the Giants and force some
3:23turnovers. They're also massive
3:26favorites in this one. Houston are
3:28nearly 10-point favorites in this game.
3:31So, they're in a they're in a very very
3:33good spot. Now, you've also got the
3:36Denver Broncos and Arizona feeling
3:39loose, feeling confident. They get a big
3:42win over the Rams, but it was all field
3:44goals for them last week. Uh, shout out
3:46to Chad Ryland. We wish we recommended
3:48him. He had a really good week as a
3:49kicker, but Arizona implied team total
3:52of only 19. So, if you're using the
3:54Denver Broncos defense, they are
3:56trending up in the right direction. And
3:59then Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh's a defense
4:01that came back last week, affected the
4:03game against Tampa Bay, and they've got
4:06a good spot this week against uh the New
4:08Orleans Saints. Games in Paris, but
4:11we're still feeling pretty good about
4:12the way things are are headed when it
4:14comes to the Steelers. They're favorites
4:16in this one, and it it just feels right.
4:19They had against Tampa Bay, they had
4:21they got to the quarterback five times,
4:23so they had five sacks, and they forced
4:24two turnovers here. You've got some
4:26stars on this defense. Pittsburgh feels
4:29right this week. No need to really
4:31adjust. So after that, you're talking
4:34about streaming territory. There's going
4:36to be a number of defenses this week
4:38that are presenting themselves as
4:40really, really strong options. I think
4:42the one that I recommended last week as
4:44a stash is one of the best streaming
4:46options this week, and that's the New
4:49York Jets. The Jets lost to the Patriots
4:53last week, but have a chance for like a
4:55really good spot this week against the
4:57Dolphins. Dolphins are coming out of
4:59their by-eek, but their team total is
5:02only like 17. And we've got a a a total
5:06for the game that's fewer than 40
5:08points. We all remember how the Jets, we
5:10talked about them last week as a defense
5:12we want to stash because they had eight
5:15sacks against Cleveland in week five.
5:17David Bailey is an absolute monster. Two
5:21fumble recoveries for him last week
5:22against New England. David Baileyy's on
5:24like a generational run right now. Malik
5:27Willis can give them a little problems
5:28with his mobility, but really not a
5:31threat as a passer. I think this is a
5:33defense that is going to be available on
5:35a lot of waiver wires because they were
5:37cut against New England. And I think
5:39that they're going to give you a top
5:40five scoring performance this week. Love
5:43the New York Jets. Another defense that
5:46we want to consider is the Cleveland
5:47Browns. Tennessee coming off of a win,
5:50but Cleveland's a very good defense. And
5:53I feel very strongly about Cleveland.
5:55The vibes are absolutely terrific when
5:58it comes to the Cleveland Browns. I
5:59mean, this is a team that's winning
6:00games, wasn't supposed to win games, and
6:03they've got a good matchup this week
6:05against the Titans. Um, interesting team
6:10because you've got like Deshun Watson.
6:12wasn't supposed to do anything this year
6:14and it's just like the vibes are really
6:15good. Now Tennessee has an implied team
6:18total of like 17 and a half. But if you
6:22want to just simply play the game as
6:24like a lowscoring one, this is one of
6:27the lowest totals on the board. You've
6:29got the the the the Titans defense who
6:33got to Daniel Jones a lot last week.
6:35Titans defense played well and inspired,
6:38but the game is only a 38 1/2 point
6:40total. So, the Browns and the Titans are
6:43viable, but I would prefer using the
6:45Cleveland Browns, even though the game
6:47is on the road in Tennessee. It's a game
6:50that Tennessee is going to feel like
6:51they can win, but it's a game that uh
6:53Cleveland is really going to feel they
6:54can win. Cleveland shut out Baltimore
6:57last week. Tennessee got the win over
6:59Indianapolis. I think this turns into a
7:01defensive game, but my lean is going to
7:04be with the Cleveland Browns if we were
7:05sort of ranking things with these two
7:07defenses.
7:09A couple of other defenses to consider,
7:12the Carolina Panthers. The Tampa Bay
7:14Buccaneers have an implied team total of
7:16like 20 and a half. The Bucks have been
7:18really generous to opposing defenses all
7:21year long, and that includes the the
7:23Baker Mayfield games, but you've got the
7:26Panthers who last week shut down the
7:29Philadelphia Eagles, get a chance to go
7:31up against another backup quarterback
7:33this week in Jaylen Daniels. And if it
7:37is Baker Mayfield, we still are seeing
7:39the Bucks giving up a ton of sacks.
7:41Baker has not really been Baker this
7:44year. Um, the Panthers are three-point
7:47favorites in this one. The game total is
7:49like 44 and a half. So, it's one of
7:51those like a little bit fishy lines if
7:54we're sort of looking at it. But, I I
7:56think we can roll with the Panthers this
7:59week. And I think we can feel pretty
8:00good about where we're at with that one.
8:03Now, if you want to go like bottom of
8:06the barrel here, not really even bottom
8:09of the barrel, it's it's a defense
8:10that's been actually red-hot and playing
8:12well, but the opponent scares me a
8:15little bit. I think the 49ers, they've
8:17been on a heater defensively, and we all
8:20know the sort of pressure that Brock
8:23Pury puts on opposing offenses, but you
8:26got the Atlanta Falcons and you got
8:27Michael Penn coming off of a three
8:30touchdown game. But when it comes to San
8:32Francisco, I think we can use them in
8:35this spot, but I'm not like super
8:37confident in this one. Uh, this is one
8:41where I'd look to pivot to one of the
8:42defenses that I listed earlier, but if
8:44you're in a league where like
8:45everybody's rostered, and there's a lot
8:47of managers who are just sort of
8:49sometimes rostering two defenses, trying
8:51to get a week ahead, and there's leagues
8:53like that out there. I know some of you
8:54guys are like, "Not in my league, bro.
8:56Not in my league, bro. I can't even hold
8:58on to good defenses during by-weeks."
8:59But speaking to some of you deeper
9:02managers out there, I think San
9:03Francisco's in play. And then we
9:05mentioned Seattle.
9:08Can we use the Kansas City Chiefs coming
9:10off of a excellent performance? Kansas
9:13City was my number one streaming
9:15recommendation last week. Sort of one of
9:18the biggest lowhanging fruits is to
9:20start just fading these LA Chargers
9:22every single week. And wisely, we had
9:25the Chiefs as the number one uh
9:27defensive streaming uh recommendation
9:29last week. They teed off against the
9:31Chargers last week. Four sacks for the
9:34Kansas City Chiefs. They also had a
9:36fumble recovery. They also had an
9:37interception. Can they do the same
9:40against Sam Darnold this week? Game's
9:42going to be on Sunday Night Football.
9:43The game's in Seattle, but I think
9:46Kansas City's in play. So, that sort of
9:48covers our streaming defense
9:50recommendations. a number of good
9:54options for you this week. So again, to
9:57reiterate it, I like I like the New York
10:00Jets a lot. I like the Cleveland Browns
10:03and if you're chasing the game, the
10:06Tennessee Titans. I think the Carolina
10:08Panthers are very much viable. The
10:11Kansas City Chiefs are viable. And in
10:13very deep leagues, the San Francisco
10:1549ers are viable.
10:18Catch every drive, every play, and every
10:20touchdown poolside, stadium swim at
10:22Circa Resort and Casino in downtown Las
10:24Vegas. Take it all in from six
10:26temperature controlled pools. Or claim
10:28your place in a lounge chair, daybed, or
10:30private cabana. With a massive 143 ft
10:34screen and immersive audio, you won't
10:36just watch the action, you'll feel it.
10:38Make Stadium Swim at Circa Resort and
10:40Casino your game day ritual. Reserve
10:42your spot in the sun today at circa
10:44vegas.com.
10:46And then just a quick note, Minnesota
10:49Smash Spot, I think if you're playing
10:51DFS, and a big shout out to the team at
10:53Rotoire, our DFS optimizer has been on
10:56fire. Another profitable week for me. I
10:58did a bunch of 50/50s. Shout out to Alan
11:00Syslowski
11:02and Tyler Canal. Uh the very end of the
11:054pm games, I knew I was going to have to
11:07miss because I was heading to a wedding
11:09reception uh for my good friend. Tyler
11:12and Allan filled in for me Sunday night.
11:14got a chance to watch the Green Bay
11:16Dallas game. I had to do it on delay,
11:18but this is this is life. This is life.
11:20Um rarely am I ever going to miss a
11:22Sunday night stream, but it's great
11:24knowing how deep the roster of content
11:27creators here is at Rotoire. Really
11:29appreciate you guys filling in for me.
11:31Um but just a just like a wild wild run
11:36out. I know that when we're looking at
11:38the kickers though, a lot of you are
11:39like, "Tho, let me get the kickers. Let
11:41me get the kickers. Stop talking about
11:42your own personal life." Um, let's talk
11:45about DFS though very, very quickly. I
11:47think if you're looking at DFS right
11:49now, Minnesota is going to be expensive,
11:51but they're going to be worth it. If
11:53you're looking to save money in DFS,
11:56Tennessee was super cheap last week. Um,
11:59and Tennessee is going to be cheap again
12:01this week. They just always are.
12:03Carolina, I I can't imagine they're
12:05going to be too expensive on DraftKings
12:07or FanDuel. Keep an eye on them. Uh, and
12:09then of course the Cleveland Browns. But
12:12check out Minnesota if you're looking to
12:14pay up for a defense. I think there's a
12:16chance that they could really get to
12:18Daniel Jones here. Interceptions, sacks,
12:21all that good stuff. I think the Colts
12:22are going to struggle to score against
12:24Minnesota. So, a big shout out to our
12:26team over on the DFS side at Rotoire.
12:28The DFS optimizer has just been on fire.
12:31I did those 50/50s, was able to make
12:33some money for like I think I've been
12:35profitable almost every week and I've
12:37started to roll a little bit more into
12:39my DFS money at stake. Um, and I've been
12:42using the Roto Wire tools. Just awesome
12:43stuff over there. If you want access to
12:45anything on the site, including my
12:46articles, my rankings, our DFS
12:48optimizer, use the code Theo40. So much
12:51of the season left. Make every week
12:54count with Rotoire.
12:56Talking about the kickers a little bit.
12:58And I know a lot of you are like, Theo,
13:00I don't play in leagues with kickers.
13:01Some of you are still playing in leagues
13:02with kickers. This is an interesting
13:04week at the kicker position. A couple of
13:07team, a couple of players that we want
13:09to recommend that are on heaters and are
13:12going to be available in a lot of
13:14leagues. I think Chris Boswell is a very
13:17interesting one. We're seeing guys like
13:20Jeremy Bernard, Jaylen Warren, DK Mechaf
13:23performing. We're seeing Aaron Rogers
13:25using a very high pass rate on a weekly
13:27basis. And we're seeing Chris Boswell
13:29benefit from this. Had a really gross
13:32week four against Cleveland. He only had
13:34three points in that one. But if you
13:36remove week four, he had 13 points in
13:38week three and he was three for three on
13:41field goals that week. Then we look at
13:44week five, he had 13 points in that one
13:46and he was two for two on field goals,
13:48but he had a 50-yard and a 40-yard. And
13:51then this past week against Tampa Bay,
13:54he missed his he missed a 40 plus yard,
13:57but he made two 50 yarders. Uh really
14:00strong stuff and he's making every
14:02single extra point this season. So Chris
14:04Boswell is a name that we've heard for
14:05years. We're going to look to see if
14:07he's available on some waiver wires. A
14:10quick note, a priority for you on the
14:12waiverwire. If Will the Thrill Riker was
14:16dropped during by-week hell, Will Reich
14:19is one of the best kickers in fantasy
14:22this year. Top two scorer on a point per
14:24game basis and is a unbelievable kicker
14:28when it comes to deep field goals and
14:30gets those sort of opportunities. And
14:31Minnesota's offense trending up. We're
14:34seeing Kyler Murray coming off his best
14:35game. You you see Justin Jefferson
14:38performing at a high level. Then you've
14:39got guys like Jordan Addison, TJ
14:41Hawinson, Jordan Mason are all going to
14:43be back. Aaron Jones playing his heart
14:45out and this team has just great vibes.
14:47So Minnesota, check on Will Riker. If
14:50Will Riker is unavailable, check on
14:53Chris Boswell. I like his game this
14:55week. And then going against Chris
14:58Boswell, Daniel Carlson also coming off
15:01of a really a really strong week scored
15:0313 points. I I much prefer Boswell, but
15:07I think this is a game where games in
15:09Europe, you never know how the game flow
15:11is going to go, but Carlson opposite
15:14him. Carlson's going to be available
15:15everywhere. If we're looking at kickers
15:17that are sort of on a heater, if you
15:20want to use the Jets uh defense, you can
15:23also consider the Jets kicker here. We
15:26imagine at home against Miami, the Jets
15:29can put up some points here. Jason
15:31Sanders coming off of a 15-point
15:33performance.
15:34Uh, shout out to my guy Dominic Zavvada.
15:37We're not going to recommend you as a
15:39sleeper this week or excuse me, a
15:40streamer this week at the kicker
15:42position. Uh, Zavvada still managed to
15:45deliver last week. No 50 plus yard
15:47attempt, but he gave us a 30 plus yard
15:50and he gave us a 40 plus yard. So, if
15:52you have Zavvada, you can feel pretty
15:53good about things. But again, we want to
15:55downgrade all Giants against this
15:57Houston Texans team. Um, but with
16:00Zavvada, we really appreciate the run.
16:02Zavvada had three straight double- digit
16:04performances before that eight. So
16:06really for me, Boswell number one,
16:09double check on Will Riker. And then we
16:12will also mention that a kicker that
16:14I've been recommending as a potential
16:16streamer, Matt Gay, who has had three
16:19out of his last four games be very, very
16:22strong. 12 points, 16 points, then a
16:24five-pointer against New England. This
16:27past week, he had three field goals
16:29made. They were all sub 40 yards, but he
16:32also made his extra points. So, a
16:3412-pointer from Matt Gay. But really
16:36want to check on Chris Boswell. I think
16:38things are setting up well for him. But
16:41man, if Will the Thrill Riker is
16:43available on your waiverwire, go and get
16:45some. A big shout out to Better. That's
16:48BETR, the sponsor for my show. If you're
16:50looking for a little more action, Better
16:52is an awesome, awesome place. Tons of
16:55ways to play it. the sports book, player
16:58props, all sorts of cool stuff over at
17:00Better. Check it out. Betr look for all
17:03my shows this week. I'm gonna try to
17:04ramp it up, drop a couple of extras. We
17:07are very much in mid-season form at
17:09Rotoire. And a big shout out to the NBA
17:12team. If you play NBA Fantasy, there is
17:16no better place for you than at Rotoire.
17:18The NBA team is absolutely crushing it.
17:20I used Rotoire's tools for my son's uh
17:24NBA fantasy draft. We drafted a team
17:26together and absolutely crushed it. Uh
17:28I'm sure your competition might be a
17:30little higher than my son's teams, but
17:32uh I think that if you're looking to
17:34scale up and look to crush it in NBA
17:37DFS, NBA props or NBA general fantasy,
17:41need help on the NBA waiverwire, the
17:43team is crushing it. Rotoire gives you
17:45so much value with a subscription. Go
17:48check it out and stick with me all week
17:50long dropping shows that can help you
17:52crush your leagues this season. We'll
17:54see you soon.
