Braelon Allen serves as the primary handcuff to Breece Hall. He has been noted by Aaron Glenn as a player who could see increased involvement, specifically regarding potential goal-line opportunities, making him a more viable option in best-ball formats than standard weekly lineups.NegativeUsageAug 28, 2026
Nfc Hall dismisses the narrative that Braelon Allen will force a 60/40 backfield split with Breece Hall, despite the buzz generated by Allen's 30-yard preseason touchdown run. The speaker maintains that Breece Hall is the superior, complete back for the Jets offense.NegativeValueAug 26, 2026
Braelon Allen has seen his ADP rise significantly, now being drafted in the fourth round in some formats. Because of this price increase, he no longer offers a discount for fantasy managers. There is also a risk that he may not be able to handle the full workload, which could open the door for others to take on a larger role.NegativeUsageAug 22, 2026
Jeremiah Love suggests that Breece Hall's injury opens the door for Braelon Allen to see increased work. Allen looked great in preseason Week 1, and there is a risk that the Jets move toward a timeshare to slow-play Hall's return, leading to an elevated outlook for Allen.NegativeDepth ChartAug 21, 2026
Moved up in ADP; potential handcuff to Breece Hall. If Hall experiences reaggravation of injury, Allen becomes more valuable as a backup option to monitor.PositiveSleeperAug 19, 2026
Braelon Allen should be elevated as a priority handcuff following Breece Hall's injury. He is the preferred backup over Isaiah Davis and demonstrated his potential with a 31-yard rushing touchdown in the preseason.NegativeValueAug 19, 2026
Scott Barrett considers Braelon Allen a decent draft bet within the 'new dead zone,' though he ranks Jadarian Price one spot higher.NegativeBustAug 13, 2026
Scott Barrett explicitly states he wants to fade Braelon Allen, categorizing him as a player to avoid in the current running back dead zone.PositiveValueAug 12, 2026
Braelon Allen is a target at RB65 who would see a considerable role if Breece Hall missed time, especially given Isaiah Davis's current knee injury. Allen is a massive, athletic 22-year-old who serves as the clear next man in for the Jets.NegativeUsageAug 11, 2026
The source warns that Braelon Allen managers should be concerned because Chris Rodriguez Jr.'s presence limits Allen's path to volume. Allen is expected to handle passing-down work, but the loss of goal-line opportunities and the reliance on efficiency rather than volume makes him a risky asset compared to his previous outlook.NegativeValueNo date
Braelon Allen is identified as a running back in the same tier as David Montgomery, noting that he is currently drafted slightly ahead of MarShawn Lloyd.PositiveProjectionNo date
Allen is available even in the fifth round with a realistic path to top-14/15 scoring if he wins the Jacksonville backfield and secures the majority of carries and receiving work. This follows two consecutive seasons of Liam Coen backs (Bucky Irving 2024, Travis Etienne 2025) delivering significant ADP wins, suggesting the system consistently elevates running back production.
