Running back rankings for 2026 fantasy football drafts, ordered by STACKED's overall draft-guide rank. Each running back includes projected half-PPR points, live ADP across platforms, bye week, and rushing plus receiving projections so you can separate three-down workhorses from committee backs.
Every back scored on role, goal line, pass downs, contingency, and blocking
A running back's value is not one job, it is four: early downs, the goal line, passing downs, and what a backup inherits, plus the line blocking for him. Every back with projected touches is scored one to five on all five, so you can separate a bell cow from a back who simply leads his backfield in carries.

Hover any score for a preview; click a score to open that player's report at that section. The RB1 and RB2 of every team have hand-written analysis; deeper backs show computed role only.
ADP is live from the 2026 projections and refreshes hourly. Role shares, ratings, and written analysis are an editorial snapshot from 2026-07-25. Offensive line grades come from STACKED's 2026 offensive line rankings, where every unit gets a tier, an uncertainty grade, its projected starting five, and a full written breakdown.
Projected points use half-PPR scoring. ADP is shown per platform (Sleeper, Underdog, ESPN, Yahoo); STACKED Rank is our overall draft-guide rank. Rankings follow STACKED's overall 2026 draft-guide order and refresh throughout the draft season.
RB rankings FAQ
Who is the No. 1 fantasy football running back for 2026?
Jahmyr Gibbs (DET) is the top-ranked running back in STACKED's 2026 fantasy football rankings, projected for 300 half-PPR points. Bijan Robinson (ATL) and Christian McCaffrey (SF) round out the top three.
When should you draft a running back in 2026 fantasy drafts?
Running back is where fantasy drafts are most often won or lost: true three-down workhorses are scarce, so they dominate the first two rounds. Receiving work is the tiebreaker — backs who catch passes keep a floor even in bad game scripts. If you start with wide receivers instead, attack the RB middle rounds with upside handcuffs and committee backs one injury away from a lead role. For reference, Jahmyr Gibbs is currently coming off the board around pick 1.8 in half-PPR drafts.
Are these RB rankings PPR or half-PPR?
Projected points on this page use half-PPR scoring, and ADP is broken out by platform — Sleeper half-PPR, Underdog best ball, ESPN, and Yahoo — so you can see where the books disagree on a running back before you draft. The full STACKED draft guide adds FantasyPros ECR alongside them.
How often are these running back rankings updated?
Rankings, projections, and ADP are rebuilt continuously from platform draft data and expert consensus during the 2026 draft season, and this page refreshes at least hourly. For live tiers, player news, and source-backed insights, open the interactive draft guide.
