Davis Mattek on Devin Neal

Vikings' new RB depth adds competition but limited by team's red zone rushing drought

Devin Neal was recently signed by the Vikings and is described as "definitely a more professional NFL rusher" than backup options DJ Dallas and De'Montre Clayborn. However, the Vikings' overall running back situation remains limited by low red zone usage (not running a play inside the 10-yard line in each of the last two games; only nine rushing attempts inside the 10-yard line all of last year) and minimal passing volume. Neal's addition directly impacts Aaron Jones' workload and fantasy value.
