Dowdle returned to limited participation in practice Wednesday for the first time in over two weeks after dislocating his toe in Week 2 against the Patriots (the toe popped out twice during that game). He was held out as a non-participant in the following games against the Bengals and Browns but is now showing signs of progress toward a return; head coach Mike McCarthy noted Dowdle remains part of the Steelers' rehab group ahead of the Week 5 matchup against Indianapolis.
