Steelers running back Rico Dowdle was a limited participant in Steelers practice Wednesday for the first time in over two weeks as Pittsburgh prepares for a matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday of Week 5. Dowdle, who said he dislocated a toe in Week 2 against the Patriots and had it pop out of place twice in the game, was held out of Pittsburgh's following games against both the Bengals and Browns after being a non-participant in practice. Now, he's showing signs of progress towards a return.

Dowdle returned to limited participation in Steelers practice Wednesday for the first time in over two weeks after dislocating his toe in Week 2 against the Patriots (the toe popped out twice during that game). He was held out of games against the Bengals and Browns as a non-participant in practice but is now showing signs of progress towards a return; head coach Mike McCarthy noted he remains part of the Steelers' rehab group ahead of Week 5 matchup against the Colts.
