Webb's play-calling experiment falters; Payton reclaims increased offensive role.

Offensive coordinator Davis Webb's experiment as the primary play caller has not gone well through four games. After Webb received multiple head-coaching interviews during the offseason and was promoted to offensive coordinator, the Broncos gave him play-calling duties. However, the offense has ranked 27th in points scored and the team has attempted just 90 rushing attempts through four weeks (tied for 29th in the NFL). Head coach Sean Payton will now take an increased role in the offense starting in Week 5, though Webb will continue with a significant game-planning and game-day role.
