Mile High Report on Davis Webb

Webb loses play-calling duties but remains active in Payton's offense as future HC prospect.

Offensive coordinator Davis Webb is being demoted from play-calling duties as Sean Payton assumes those responsibilities. Payton praised Webb extensively, calling him "a future head coach" and stating "he's going to be one" and "he's super talented." Payton emphasized that Webb remains "all-in with the gameplan" and "will be down on the field with me," indicating Webb retains an active offensive role despite losing play-calling authority. The source notes this change protects Webb from further negative press while the offense has struggled through four games against strong defenses.
