Watson's actually Watson's more of a specialized guy who who can be used in very specific ways... Watson's been more efficient, which honestly I kind of expect to continue. But uh Golden's had the better role... Watson's like a fine enough play, but he's just a little expensive.

Watson too expensive; Tate offers better role at lower price

Watson is a specialized receiver with more volatile usage patterns compared to Golden Tate. While Watson has been more efficient, his role has been worse than Tate's this season. At his current price point, Watson is considered 'a little expensive' relative to Tate, making him a less attractive play despite touchdown variance that is now evening out (4 TDs to Tate's 2). Davis Mattek prefers Tate between the two, citing Tate's $700 price discount, higher target share, and comparable touchdown upside.
