Field Gulls on Sam Darnold

Darnold's INT problem threatens extension talks and QB decision in offseason.

Darnold's interceptions are a significant problem for Seattle's offense. The source warns that if Darnold continues playing at this level, a major "Sam Darnold Conversation" will emerge regarding his future with the team. Darnold will seek an extension in the offseason, but given his turnover issues and the Seahawks' emphasis on ball security under Mike Macdonald, there is uncertainty about whether John Schneider will commit to him long-term or explore other QB options (including potential roster alternatives) who can execute the "Seahawks Football" system at a lower cost.
