From the episode

Jonathan Brooks was like an early down kind of change of pace guy. He was not this kind of like base down back, pass down back.

Brooks is currently a change-of-pace back behind Chuba Hubbard.

Jonathan Brooks is currently being used as an early-down, change-of-pace back rather than a primary pass-catching option. While he had a big 48-yard reception, his limited snap count on third and fourth downs indicates he is currently behind Chuba Hubbard in the pecking order.
