From the episode

James Cook had a catch on the first drive... He only has like three catches on the day. So it's not some crazy pass game role.

Cook remains involved but hasn't seen a massive increase in target volume.

James Cook was involved early as a receiver, but his overall pass-game role remains limited with only three catches on the day. The Bills' shift toward a more pass-heavy approach under Joe Brady has not significantly increased Cook's target volume yet.
