Fannin's route share is encouraging, but target competition has increased.

Despite a disappointing Week 1 (two catches, 21 yards), Fannin maintained a strong 77% route participation rate. While his status as an elite target hog is likely over due to increased competition from Denzel Boston, Casey Concepcion, and Jerry Jeudy, he remains a viable tight end option, especially if the Browns eventually transition to Shedeur Sanders at quarterback.
