Armstrong was option on Mahomes' red-zone INT; play developed faster than expected

Armstrong was the option on the play where Mahomes threw his third interception in the red zone against the Chargers. Mahomes was looking for Armstrong along the back line of the end zone on third-and-goal from the two-yard line, but the look wasn't what the Chiefs wanted. Mahomes explained: 'I had an option, and it was Armstrong, and it happened faster than I expected it, and so instead of just staying with it and throwing it then, I started scrambling.' The play resulted in an interception when Mahomes tried to throw it away while also giving Armstrong a chance.
