I'm hoping we can have some other guys step up more this year so you don't feel like you have to have them on the field every play... Kalen Black is going to spell him between the 20s on early downs.

NeutralRole

McCaffrey's role is shifting to include more rest, but he remains an elite fantasy option.

Christian McCaffrey remains an S-tier RB, though his role is evolving. Kyle Shanahan intends to keep him fresher, with Kalen Black expected to spell him on early downs between the 20s. McCaffrey maintains dominance in passing situations (10 of 12 snaps) and goal-line work. While he may not be the 'legendary' RB1 of the past, he remains a high-floor play against the Dolphins.
