Mendoza's takeover timeline pushed back by Raiders' 3-0 start and playoff hopes

The No. 1 overall pick rookie is expected to eventually take over as the Raiders' starter, but the team's 3-0 start has altered the timeline for when that transition occurs. Despite the Raiders dropping three straight games, the source indicates that Mendoza will not take over immediately; the team's unlikely postseason hopes may keep Cousins in the starting role longer than initially expected. The calls for Mendoza will get louder after each loss, but the organization appears committed to giving Cousins more time.
