Mitchell signed for RB depth; could start Week 7 if Barkley unavailable

Mitchell was signed to the Eagles' practice squad after previously being in their training camp before getting hurt and being waived with an injury settlement. He brings 327 career rushing attempts for 1,523 yards (4.7 average) and nine touchdowns. Depending on Saquon Barkley's hamstring injury status for Week 7, Mitchell could be temporarily elevated from the practice squad to serve as RB2 or RB3 on Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys, as Dameon Pierce is currently the only healthy running back on the Eagles' roster with Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley on injured reserve.
