Positive signalRole

Mitchell promoted to Eagles active roster from practice squad.

Elijah Mitchell was signed to the Eagles' active roster from the practice squad on Tuesday, elevating him in the running back depth chart. Mitchell has prior NFL experience with 327 carries for 1,523 yards and nine touchdowns over three seasons with the 49ers, plus one game with the Chiefs last year. His promotion suggests the Eagles view him as a viable contributor in their backfield alongside Saquon Barkley and Dameon Pierce.
