Field Gulls on Sam Darnold
From the article
Sam Darnold might be the biggest problem with this offense right now. He had another poor performance against Denver, throwing two interceptions and bringing his season total to seven. The most frustrating part is when those turnovers happen: both came at critical moments, and the overtime interception was particularly damaging.
STACKED’s take
Darnold's 7 INTs and critical turnovers make him the offense's biggest problem.
Darnold threw two interceptions against Denver, bringing his season total to seven; both turnovers came at critical moments, with the overtime interception particularly damaging as it gave Denver the ball at Seattle's 43-yard line and set up the game-winning field goal. The source identifies Darnold as 'the biggest problem with this offense right now,' citing inconsistent decision-making—playing too conservatively when he should take opportunities and too aggressively when protecting the ball. Beyond the interceptions, Darnold missed open receivers including AJ Barner finding space between zone defenders, forced passes into coverage, and threw inaccurately (placing a ball well behind Tory Horton despite good route execution).
