McCarthy's 50 mph fastball and 12.4 yards per completion support aggressive downfield passing

McCarthy possesses among the fastest quarterback velocity in the league at 50 mph fastballs and a career average of 12.4 yards per completion, which he will deploy against the Texans' notoriously ball-hawking secondary. Tight end Isaiah Likely emphasized trust in McCarthy's arm talent, saying 'Letting him know that as long as the ball's in the air and in my vicinity, it's a great pass either way.'
